As you entered the gym, you greeted your friends with a smile and gently set your bag down on the floor. Sugawara and the others returned the greeting with a brief nod before turning their attention back to the energetic Nishinoya, who was completely focused on the game.
"Rolling Thunder!" yelled Nishinoya, throwing himself toward the ball with determination. With impressive skill, he prevented it from hitting the ground, managing to make it bounce before landing in one of the large blue baskets set up near the net.
"Nice receive," praised Sugawara, though his comment was overshadowed by Tanaka's mocking laughter.
"Bah, it was just an ordinary receive," Tanaka countered, laughing and taking the opportunity to tease him a little more.
You approached them, intrigued. "‘Rolling Thunder’? What's that?" you asked, holding back a smile. The name seemed as dramatic as it was funny to you, and apparently, you weren't the only one who thought so, as Yamaguchi had turned around, clearly trying to stifle his laughter.
Nishinoya, noticeably irritated by the teasing, crossed his arms and, with a stern expression, raised his voice. "Kageyama, Tsukishima, Yamaguchi! I'm going to teach you a thing or two, so bow down...! I mean, sit down! Position yourselves below my line of sight!"
"Teach me, teach me the Rolling Thunder!" Hinata exclaimed, the only one in the group visibly impressed. To him, Nishinoya was nothing short of a volleyball star.
However, before Nishinoya could respond, the firm voice of Takeda-sensei cut into the conversation. "Guys, I want you to listen to something." Everyone's attention immediately focused on him.
"We’re doing something special this year, right?" Takeda-sensei continued, and the students nodded, expectant. "Training camp during Golden Week."
"Yeah, we’ve got a lot to train for before that," replied Daichi, looking at the others.
Takeda-sensei paused, trying to capture the boys' full attention. "And one more thing," he said, a gleam in his eyes. "On the last day of Golden Week, we’ll have a practice match."
The announcement was met with immediate excitement. Excited murmurs spread through the gym, and the boys looked at each other, wondering who they would be playing against.
"Who’s the opponent?" you asked curiously, your mind already imagining the challenge ahead. Which team would they face this time?
"Nekoma High from Tokyo," replied Takeda-sensei in a serious tone. "They’re called 'Neko.'"
The name echoed in your mind, and for a moment, you got distracted thinking about its meaning. "Neko... like cat, right? Sounds nice. Cats are cute... No, wait, correct that, you love cats... Oh, God, I'm rambling again!" You scolded yourself mentally, refocusing on the conversation.
Tanaka chimed in to explain, "We’ve heard a lot about them. Our coach and theirs used to be rivals. They’ve played against them several times.”
"Oh," murmured Hinata, with a mix of surprise and excitement. It wasn’t hard to see that he was already thinking about how they’d go up against a team of such high level. Next to him, Sugawara started telling an anecdote about an old match they’d played against the Neko team, but your attention had already wandered off.
"Well," Daichi interrupted, with a serious but motivating expression. "We’ve got an important match coming up soon. We need to give it everything we’ve got!" His exclamation brought the team together, and everyone nodded with determination. They knew that the road to the match against Neko would require effort and focus.
"Tokyo, huh?" Tanaka stepped forward, one hand on his chin as if plotting a master plan. "I’m gonna destroy those city boys!" he added with a confident grin, though his attitude wasn’t as intimidating as he’d tried to make it seem.
You laughed unintentionally. "City boys? Why are you talking like that?" you teased playfully about how Tanaka had named the boys from Nekoma High.
Tanaka looked at you with a frown, as if his pride had been wounded. "Y/N! How dare you mock your senpai?" he exclaimed dramatically, giving you a look of fake indignation. You didn’t have time to react, as in a flash, his hands firmly landed on your shoulders, and in one quick movement, he began ruffling your hair with a teasing smile.
"Tanaka, stop!" you protested between laughs, trying to escape his playful hold.
"I’ll teach you to respect your senpai," Tanaka said with a mischievous smile, but his tone quickly softened, knowing that you were just joking.
"Alright, alright, cut it out," Daichi intervened, trying to calm the situation as the others laughed at the comic scene that had unfolded.
“What’s wrong, Daichi? Want a little love too?” Tanaka, with a mischievous smile, approached the captain with the same playful attitude. He advanced slowly, hands raised with a glint of mischief in his eyes.
Daichi raised a hand, backing away cautiously. "Tanaka, don’t even think about it…" he warned firmly, though a slight smile betrayed his seriousness.
You couldn’t help but join in on the joke, moving closer with Tanaka as the two of you closed in on Daichi, step by step. Every time you both advanced, Daichi took a step back, pretending to try and escape but clearly caught up in the laughter.
“What, the great Captain Daichi is afraid of a simple hug?” you teased, with an amused smile that echoed through the group.
Before Daichi could respond, Tanaka didn’t miss his chance. With unexpected speed, he wrapped both of you in a vigorous hug that brought you together in a tight bond of camaraderie. The strength of his gesture caught you by surprise, and you found yourself trapped between him and Daichi, who, still surprised, could only sigh in resignation, though with a barely concealed smile.
"Tanaka... you're... crushing Y/N," Daichi warned, trying to pry the enthusiastic Tanaka away from you both. However, Tanaka just responded by squeezing you a little tighter, enjoying the momentary awkwardness he had created. You could barely contain your laughter, though you felt warmth rising to your cheeks from the pressure and closeness. Your arms, still around Daichi's torso, kept you in this peculiar and funny position.
"It's a team hug, captain! There’s no escape," declared Tanaka, holding the embrace with a mischievous grin.
"Tanaka, if you keep this up, Y/N might end up not being able to breathe," Daichi added, though he couldn’t hide the amusement in his voice. Finally, Daichi managed to free himself slightly, giving you the chance to escape too, though not without a few failed attempts and laughs along the way.
Once you were finally free, you took a deep breath, bringing your hands to your cheeks to dissipate the blush that had undoubtedly colored your face. Amidst laughter and a few sighs, you tried to regain your composure while Daichi, also recovered from Tanaka's "display of affection," gave his teammate a light pat on the back.
"Alright, let’s get back to work," Daichi declared firmly, though the shadow of a smile still lingered on his face. "If we're going to face Nekoma, we can't let ourselves get distracted like this."
"Ahhh, I don't want to!" you protested energetically, trying to free your arm from Hinata's persistent grip. The redhead had been begging you to help him with a couple of serves, though your determination to not give in was strong. With your free hand, you tried to grip the ground, but your palm slid uselessly.
"Come on, Y/N! You never play with me!" Hinata insisted, releasing your arm only to change tactics and grab your leg, making you fall backward in the process. "I promise I won’t bother you again after this!”
"No! You said that last time, and you almost hit me in the face with the ball!" you retorted, kicking your legs forcefully to try to free yourself, but Hinata kept his grip. A playful smile tugged at your lips despite the chaos they had caused. "What if I miss one of those shots? I'd die of embarrassment if everyone sees me."
"No one's going to make fun of you... well, maybe Tsukishima, but..." Hinata tried to convince you, but he couldn't continue. Taking advantage of his momentary distraction, you wriggled free and, aiming to run toward Kiyoko, barely managed a few steps before slipping on the floor, giving Hinata the perfect opportunity to catch you again.
"Let me go, monster! Kiyoko-san!" you shouted, trying to call for help through your laughter, but Hinata wasn’t going to give up that easily. With a mischievous grin, he started tickling you, making you laugh uncontrollably.
"Come on, let’s play!" he insisted energetically as you squirmed, trying to evade his attack but failing miserably.
"No!" you managed to say through your laughter, trying to free your arms to push him away. However, just when it seemed like Hinata had no intention of letting go, Daichi's firm voice rang out across the gym, calling everyone to gather. You seized the moment and, with a light punch to his stomach, finally got Hinata to release you. You quickly stood up and joined the group, Hinata following you with a determined look on his face.
"Please, Y/N," he whispered behind you, with that same persistence that almost made you laugh again.
"Shh," you whispered back, putting a finger to your lips, but Hinata wasn’t far behind, dramatically mimicking your gesture and making the sound to shush you as well.
The two of them became tangled in a small exchange of whispers and glances until Daichi's stern gaze pierced through them, halting their murmurs instantly. At that warning, both fell silent, straightening up to listen attentively as Takeda-sensei began to speak.
"I want to introduce someone to you," he said, and a man with blonde hair and a serious demeanor stepped forward. Wait, wasn’t that the grumpy employee from the store they usually go to? You stared in surprise; the man had a carefree, almost defiant air about him, and didn’t seem like someone who wanted to deal with the hustle of a high school volleyball team. "This is Ukai-san. He will be coaching you starting today."
"He's... going to coach us?" Daichi asked, approaching with a mix of disbelief and excitement on his face. It seemed like, just like everyone else, he could barely believe it.
Ukai sighed slightly, as if still weighing his decision. "Only until the match against Nekoma," he clarified.
Tanaka pointed at him, his expression part surprised, part skeptical. "But he's the guy from Sakanoshita's store... Is he really going to coach us?"
Takeda-sensei stepped forward, nodding with a smile. "Ukai-san used to study here at Karasuno," he explained, a revelation that caused murmurs and surprised looks among everyone.
"But the store has a different name," Hinata intervened, curiosity evident in his tone.
Ukai answered bluntly, as if anticipating the question. "It's my mother's family name." Then, with a sudden shift in tone, he placed his hands on his hips and looked at everyone with an air of authority that hadn’t been there before. "There’s no time to waste. I want to see what you’re made of. The match will start at 6:30 p.m., and I’ve already invited the opponents."
"Opponents?" some repeated, both surprised and eager.
Ukai explained that they would be facing the Karasuno neighborhood association team, a group experienced and skilled in the game. Upon hearing this, the team nodded with determination and began to warm up, each one focused on preparing for the challenge.
Meanwhile, you didn’t miss the opportunity to watch the new coach closely, hoping he would notice your presence and recognize you. Finally, after a few seconds, Ukai turned and caught your fixed gaze.
"Oh... and who is she?" Ukai asked quietly, leaning toward Takeda.
Tanaka, always eager to help, replied in the same confidential tone. "This is Y/N, his assistant," he explained, then gestured for you to come closer.
"Well...," Ukai scratched the back of his neck, clearly considering the situation for a moment before continuing. "And what am I supposed to do with an assistant?"
Takeda, always calm, responded with a smile. "For whatever you need, Ukai-san. She's here to help."
Ukai seemed to accept the explanation, and in a casual gesture, he took the whistle hanging from his neck and placed it around yours. The action caught you by surprise, and he noticed, giving a small smile. "Use it when I ask you to," he added, with a tone of authority.
You straightened up with determination, nodding immediately. "Yes, sir!"
With an approving expression, Ukai placed a hand on your shoulder, as if to soften the intensity of your response.
Soon after, a group of men in sportswear entered the gym. The Karasuno neighborhood association team had arrived, and Ukai stepped forward to greet them and discuss the details of the match. The opposing team players seemed experienced, and the atmosphere in the gym filled with anticipation.
After a few minutes, Ukai turned to the team and announced that it was time to start the practice match. However, he noticed a small issue: two players were missing to complete the teams. Just then, Hinata, looking out the window, exclaimed, “Look, it’s Asahi!” and waved his hand excitedly. “Hey, Asahi!”
Ukai, with a serious expression, made his way to the door, and you followed him, curious. When he opened it, both of you found the tall guy with brown hair wearing the Karasuno uniform, looking somewhat embarrassed. Ukai looked at him, not wasting time to scold him. “You’re late! Who do you think you are?” His tone, though firm, had a hint of frustration. “What’s your position?”
Asahi, clearly nervous, quickly answered, “Uh... I’m the outside hitter, sir.”
“We’re short on players, so go warm up. Now!” Ukai ordered with determination. He gave you a light squeeze on the shoulder as a signal, and you understood immediately. With a confident movement, you brought the whistle to your lips and blew it, a brief, clear sound that echoed through the gym. Asahi, not wasting another second, hurried in, ready to join the practice.
The match continued, and during the first few hours, your role remained in the background: you supervised from the sidelines, blowing the whistle when necessary, observing the game dynamics and Ukai’s instructions. The matches didn’t usually keep your attention for long, and you started to feel the effects of fatigue. You rubbed your eyes, which were beginning to grow tired, while part of you longed to return home. You checked your watch and noticed it was already 8:00 p.m.
"If I stay here much longer, Mom will give me a lecture," you thought with a sigh, trying to find a comfortable position leaning against the wall. "Do these men never get tired? Don't they have families waiting for them at home?" you wondered silently, watching how the neighborhood association members seemed inexhaustible in their energy.
Finally, the match came to an end, and the players began to relax while Ukai and some of the guys discussed strengths and areas for improvement. Although under normal circumstances, you would have offered to help pack up the equipment, this time, the memory of your mother's stern look made you reconsider. You quickly left, bidding your teammates a hurried smile and leaving the gym to head home before the night got any later.
"I'm home!" You announced as you entered, taking off your shoes by the door. Silence greeted you, so you tried again, this time in your mother tongue. "Mom!"
Instantly, you heard hurried footsteps coming down the stairs, and your mother appeared, relieved but with a frown. "You’re finally home," she said in the same language, walking over to take your face in her hands, examining you with concern. "Do you know what time it is?"
"I'm fine, Mom," you answered softly, gently moving her hands away from your face. You followed her into the kitchen, where you sat in one of the chairs by the counter.
"You could’ve let me know you were staying longer," she scolded as she turned on the stove to heat up dinner. "I don’t like you staying out so late at that club... there are so many boys."
"Don’t worry, Mom," you said with a smile, raising your arms and spinning a bit in the chair in an attempt to reassure her. "Plus, I’m not alone; there’s another girl there too."
Your mom sighed, seemingly calming down a little, but she still looked at you with some suspicion. "Even so," she continued, serving your plate of food, "promise me you’ll let me know next time if you’re going to be late. I don’t want to be here worrying while you’re who knows where."
"Alright, now eat," she responded, placing a steaming plate of food in front of you. Without hesitation, you picked up the spoon and took the first bite, savoring the familiar, comforting flavors that, after such a long day, tasted even better.
"And after that," she continued while collecting some dishes, "I want you to take a nice bath and go straight to bed."
You nodded silently, enjoying the warm atmosphere of the kitchen until your sister appeared, placing her computer in front of you without a word. With a determined expression, she turned the screen toward you and pointed at it: the website clearly read "Kyoto City University of Arts." You looked at her, somewhat confused.
"I don’t get it," you admitted, trying to understand her intention.
"Read this," she insisted, pointing to a specific paragraph. As you focused on the text, you discovered they were holding auditions to join one of their prestigious orchestras. They were offering spots for pianists, violinists, and cellists, and the requirements included being between 14 and 24 years old, having advanced music-reading skills, and a high level of performance on the instrument.
"You should try out," your sister suggested with an encouraging smile. You looked at her, still somewhat uncertain. Kyoto City University of Arts was known for its prestige and high standards, and you knew that getting into one of their orchestras wouldn’t be easy.
"I’m not sure..." you murmured, feeling the weight of uncertainty. You knew that to meet the level of excellence Kyoto City University of Arts demanded, you’d have to practice intensely. You weren’t bad at the piano, but to meet their high standards, you would need to be practically flawless.
"Also, it’s so far from home," you added with a sigh. "It doesn’t make sense to travel so far for something like that... and what if I don’t make it?"
"Oh, come on, Y/N! You know you can do it," your sister replied enthusiastically, turning off her computer and setting it aside to focus on you. "You can spend your whole afternoon watching a volleyball game you're not even playing in, and you don't complain about that," she pointed out, raising an eyebrow in challenge. "This is an incredible opportunity for you."
Her argument made you think. You knew she was right: you had made great efforts for things that perhaps didn’t deserve as much. This, on the other hand, was a unique opportunity, a door open to a dream you had been putting off for a long time.
After a few seconds of reflection, you sighed and finally said, "Okay, okay, I’ll talk to Mom." You gestured with your hand, trying to minimize the importance of your words, though deep down, the idea was starting to take root in your mind.
"Great!" your sister exclaimed, full of enthusiasm, as she quickly headed toward the stairs. "Where did you leave your piano? Oh, I remember, it's in the attic!" she shouted from the first step, her voice full of excitement.
Your sister’s figure disappeared up the stairs, and a small smile appeared on your face. The thought of auditioning for such a prestigious university, Kyoto City University of Arts, gave you a mix of nerves and excitement. You knew it would be a huge challenge; you’d have to practice a lot to reach the required level, and while you felt some pressure, you reminded yourself that you still had time. However, the responsibilities of school, the volleyball team, and the match against Nekoma weighed on your mind, making things even more complicated.
You took a moment to breathe deeply, pushing aside the rushed thoughts. Everything would come in due time. You couldn’t allow the many tasks to overwhelm you before you even started. One thing at a time, you told yourself. You had time to prepare.

Your boyfriend has been fighting his breeding instincts since high school. Always wrapping it, always, even if he did want to feel the satisfaction of filling a warm wet hole with his cum.
So by the time you're married and finally alone in your hotel room, he can't wait anymore.
"Mrs. L/N." He breathes against your lips, peeling your travel dress of your body with the reverence you deserve. Your beautiful curves drive him crazy even now.
"I wanna see your tits get heavy with milk." He murmurs as he sucks one of your nipples into his mouth. His hands groping at the softness of your hips and your love handles. He pulls off your nipple with a lewd pop, his eyes turning upward to meet yours. "Wanna see your belly swell with our child."
"Let me put a baby in you." He whispers, standing and finally pressing his erection against your soft stomach. His eyes plead with you, the deep seated need to start your family evident in his gaze.
"Okay, Mr. L/N. Let's make a baby." You grin as you press your lips to his, squealing when he all bit picks you up and tosses you onto the bed.
It's not long before you're folded underneath him, your knees pressed to your chest as he fucks you with his fat cock as deep as humanly possible. He can feel the head of his shaft kissing your cervix, he can feel your wetness on his bare dick and he goes a little crazy.
His words slurred, positively drunk on your pussy, "Gonna knock you up mama, fuck. Perfect fucking pussy, see how she's creamin' for me? She wants a baby I can tell."
Your eyes are crossed from how perfectly hes hitting your spot and your brain is melting from the heat of his dick and his words.
You have no way to prove it, but you're pretty sure it was that first time of that long night that got you pregnant with your daughter.

you were minding your business while you were out driving, on your way to the grocery store, when you hear sirens behind you blaring. you look at your rear-view mirror to see the flashing red and blue lights, you tense up and pull over. you weren't even speeding, just going five over the speed limit. everyone goes five over the speed limit.
you try and calm yourself down, maybe he'll let you go easy.
you hear a tap on your window and look over to see a familiar broad chest in front of your window, with the familiar badge number and name tag on his chest. sawamura daichi. it read. you roll down your window and he bends down to get to eye level, you could recognize those brown eyes from anywhere, even if they were hiding behind a pair of aviators (that you bought him).
"hi ma'am, may i see your license and registration." he tilts his aviators down to get a better look at your face. you smile at your husband's antics.
"yes, officer" you say as you lean over to your glove compartment, going along with his silly act. you grab your registration and open your wallet to hand him your license. he takes it from your hand, making sure to brush his hand against yours.
as he's examining the two items you handed over he asks, "are you aware why i pulled you over ma'am?" he looks back down at you, handing back your license and registration.
"no officer." you say with a smile, trying hard to contain your laughter. clearly he's going with the bit.
"you were speeding, that's going to cost you." he pulls out his ticket book and a pen to write it down.
"but officer i was only going five over!" you plead, no way your own husband was about to write you up.
"five over it still speeding ma'am, not going to let a pretty lady like you that easily" he smirks, tearing off the ticket and handing it to you. "it'll cost you one kiss."
"really?" you quirk an eyebrow, all this for a kiss?
"yes really" he bends down into an uncomfortable position, cupping your cheeks and you lean into his calloused hands. he pulls you closer, head out the window as you kiss him deeply. hopefully this will keep him going for a while. you pull away, both of you smiling ear to ear at this dumb act. you pull him down by his collar again for another one, for good measure of course.
"is that enough officer?" you cheekily ask.
"yes ma'am, have a good day." he replies, pulling his aviators down the bridge of his nose to give you a wink before he walks away. you wink back at him.
"bye officer!" you yell at your husband as he walks away, rolling up your car window. you look at the ticket he gave you and you see that he scribbled the words:
we're out of milk
you roll your eyes as you open your phone, going to the contact labeled with daichi ❤️ to send him a text.

Hinata’s eyes sparkled as he looked around the residence where the team would be staying before the match. “Oh, is this where we’ll be staying?” he asked, his voice brimming with excitement as he inspected every corner of the place. “It’s my first training camp! This is going to be so much fun.”
Off to the side, Tsukishima crossed his arms and sighed, looking at Hinata with a mix of exasperation and disdain. “Oh, great. A whole day surrounded by this bunch of airheads… what’s so fun about that?” You couldn’t help but roll your eyes at his usual sarcastic attitude.
“Tsukishima, you idiot!” Tanaka exclaimed, stepping forward.
Nishinoya backed him up with equal energy. “Kiyoko’s less than 500 meters away! How can you be so insensitive?” His expression was pure drama, as if the distance from Kiyoko physically pained him.
You shook your head with a smile, already used to the boys’ antics. Without wasting any more time, you headed to the room assigned to you. Sliding the door open, you were surprised by the spacious interior; it seemed ready to accommodate several people. While you would have enjoyed sharing it with someone like Kiyoko, you knew the young manager would head home since she lived nearby.
With a sigh of relief, you dropped your bag on the floor and started checking if you had everything you needed for the night. Pajamas? Check. Toothbrush and personal care kit? Check. Clean clothes and skincare products? Check. Satisfied that you had packed all the essentials for a peaceful night, you prepared for what would be a solo sleepover.
You got up, ready for dinner. Spotting Hinata and Kageyama sitting together, you decided to join them, though you quickly realized it wasn’t the best choice: both were devouring their food as if it were their first and last meal. Between smiles and incredulous glances, you carefully guarded your plate, mindful of your teammates' voracious appetites.
Even though you had been in Japan for years, you were still selective about some local dishes. Still, you ventured to take a generous spoonful of curry, offering a polite “Itadakimasu” before starting.
It wasn’t long before Hinata, with a hopeful look, pointed at the pieces of kakuni on your plate. “Y/N, are you going to eat that?” he asked, his eyes shining with a mix of enthusiasm and longing.
Smiling, you slid your plate toward him. “No, Shoyo-kun, go ahead.”
“Thanks, Y/N! You’re the best,” he said enthusiastically, savoring the kakuni you had shared.
Midway through the meal, Nishinoya leaned closer to both of you, a spark of curiosity in his eyes. “Hey, I’ve always wondered something, and if I don’t ask now, I think I’ll lose my mind.” He paused dramatically, capturing everyone’s attention. “Are you two dating or something? I mean, you’re always together... like, all the time.”
Both you and Hinata froze for a moment, exchanging a surprised glance before responding in unison: “Not at all!”
Shoyo laughed, throwing an arm around your shoulders playfully. “We’re best friends,” he explained with a carefree grin. “To me, Y/N is like a sister.”
“And to me, Shoyo is like a little brother,” you added, returning his smile. The familiarity and camaraderie in your words made the boys around you laugh, settling the matter.
“Little brother? Why little? We’re the same age!” Hinata protested, frowning comically while the others struggled to hide their smiles.
“Because I’m taller than you, obviously,” you replied with a triumphant grin, crossing your arms to emphasize your point.
Hinata looked at you with a defiant expression, stretching as much as he could in his seat. "Only by a couple of centimeters," he muttered, though his voice betrayed a hint of frustration, which made the boys laugh even harder.
"A couple? I’d say it’s more than that," you replied with an amused smile, raising your hand to emphasize the difference. "Come on, why don’t you try saying ‘big sister’?”
“I’m not saying that,” Hinata protested, frowning and looking away, crossing his arms in a show of stubbornness.
After dinner and a refreshing shower, you slipped into your comfy green Pochacco pajamas and started your nightly skincare routine, following the tips your mom had given you. Sitting on the floor, you opened one of the face masks you had brought, opting for the strawberry one this time. Taking out the small spatula that came with the package, you began carefully applying it to your face.
You hadn’t gotten far when the door burst open. “Excuse me!” Hinata exclaimed as he walked in like it was his own room, closely followed by Nishinoya. Without a second thought, they settled down next to you.
“What are you doing?” Hinata asked, his curiosity evident.
“Just relaxing a bit,” you replied, holding a small mirror as you applied the mask to your face. Then, with an amused smile, you offered, “Want to try?”
“Why not?” the redhead agreed, amused, as he pushed his messy bangs back with a couple of hair clips.
“I want to try too!” Nishinoya chimed in enthusiastically. Before you knew it, what had started as a solo routine turned into an impromptu group spa session. Tanaka and Asahi joined in on the fun, intrigued by the idea of trying the masks. Now, holding the lemon mask in your hand, you were carefully applying it to Asahi’s face as he shared, with a touch of guilt, how he had accidentally scared a first-year student earlier that day and how bad he felt about it.
Meanwhile, Hinata, Tanaka, and Nishinoya had moved to the other side of the room, apparently focused on your PSP, trying to beat the level you had left unfinished. You could hear their murmurs and exclamations every time one of them made a mistake in the game.
Tsukishima and Yamaguchi were walking down the hall after their showers. Tsukishima, with his usual air of indifference, wiped the steam off his glasses, adjusting them slightly in an attempt to restore a clear view. When they passed by your room and saw the door slightly ajar, with murmurs and laughter spilling into the hallway, both stopped, intrigued.
“What the hell…?” Tsukishima whispered, glancing inside with a mix of surprise and exasperation at the scene unfolding. From the doorway, they could see Hinata, Tanaka, and Nishinoya engrossed in your PSP in one corner, while you sat on the floor, carefully applying a lemon mask to Asahi’s face, who looked more relaxed than either of them had ever seen him.
Noticing their presence, you gestured for them to come in. “Tsukishima, Yamaguchi! Want to try?” you asked with an amused smile as you finished applying the mask on Asahi.
Before Tsukishima could respond with his usual sarcasm, Yamaguchi had already stepped forward. “Sure,” he replied enthusiastically, moving to where you were. With complete confidence, he settled on the floor and rested his head on your lap, relaxed and ready to be pampered. He chose the strawberry mask, and you began applying it to his face with gentle movements, enjoying the calm of the moment.
Tsukishima let out a barely audible murmur. “Traitor…” he said under his breath, though his words lacked their usual bite. Without much else, he moved closer and sat beside you, crossing his arms and giving you a look of patient resignation, as if waiting for you to finish.
“This is so relaxing,” Yamaguchi commented, enjoying the soft strawberry scent of the mask on his face. When you finished, he sat up and joined the others, who were still struggling to beat the video game level, fully immersed in the challenge.
With an amused smile, you turned to Tsukishima, showing him the remaining mask options. “Alright, which one do you want?” you asked, holding up the two for him to see.
He simply shrugged. Without much hesitation, you picked the lemon one. “Then it’ll be this one,” you said decisively, opening the container.
Without a word, Tsukishima shifted slightly and rested his head on your lap. “Make it quick. This is ridiculous,” he muttered with his typical indifference. But deep down, you knew that if he were really uncomfortable, he wouldn’t have agreed so easily. As you began applying the mask, you felt his hair, still damp from the shower, slightly soaking your clothes.
When your hands brushed his face to remove his glasses, Tsukishima tensed for just a moment—almost imperceptibly. To anyone else, his posture would still seem indifferent, but in that moment, he was grappling with thoughts he would never allow to surface. Ever since the day he met you, something about you had unsettled him in a way he couldn’t quite decipher. He remembered that second encounter—when you accidentally hit him in the face with a ball—and how it made him see you differently. And when you approached to check if he was okay, cheeks flushed and voice filled with apologies, he had been intrigued. He couldn’t explain what caught his attention; maybe it was your unusual accent when you spoke Japanese or the spontaneous expressions in your native language that you let slip into conversations. There was something genuine and refreshing about it.
But perhaps what surprised him most was how wholeheartedly you threw yourself into supporting them. Despite their chaotic practices, mistakes, and failures, there you were, cheering them on with fervor. Shouting words of encouragement that sometimes seemed almost ridiculous but somehow managed to energize and uplift them. And, though he’d never admit it out loud, there was something charming about your jokes—those corny ones you told when you sat next to him, not caring if they weren’t funny, simply enjoying the moment.
There was also the way your intelligence caught him off guard, like when you helped Hinata with his homework during breaks. He couldn’t deny that he saw you differently, in a way that clashed with his usual attitude.
It was the little things, the unconscious details that made you stand out. The way you furrowed your brow when something didn’t sit right with you or when you didn’t understand something—a look that became even more evident when you reviewed sheet music in the gym during breaks. Often, he watched you from afar, observing in silence. Your presence seemed to have its own rhythm; you always smelled nice, dressed gracefully, and to him, you looked more than good. However, whenever he started thinking about all of this, his mind would quickly rein itself in, reminding him that he shouldn’t think of you that way—especially in a moment like this.
Suddenly, the snap of fingers in front of his face pulled him out of his trance. “Earth to Tsukki,” he heard your voice, clear and amused. He opened his eyes and saw you raising an eyebrow, his glasses perched on your face, making you look funny. His gaze met yours, and for a brief instant, he couldn’t help but smile—if only on the inside.
"Man, you’re really blind," you said playfully, noticing how strong the lenses were.
Tsukishima looked at you with a mix of frustration and resignation, quickly extending his hand to try to grab his glasses back. "Give me that," he said seriously, but you, quick as ever, moved away before he could reach them. He was lucky the mask covered the slight blush on his cheeks, which didn’t escape your notice.
"'Give me that,'" you mimicked, copying his tone and posture, which only made him huff in annoyance.
"I don’t sound like that," he complained, still trying to retrieve his glasses, but you moved deftly to keep them out of his reach, enjoying the slight discomfort you seemed to cause him. Tsukishima’s nearsightedness didn’t help him much in this situation, and when he tried to distract you by smearing a bit of the mask onto the bridge of your nose, you paused to clean it off. He took advantage of the moment, grabbing his glasses back with a small victorious smirk.
"How annoying," you muttered, rubbing your nose to remove the excess cream, only to hear a triumphant cheer from the other side of the room.
"We did it!" Hinata and Yamaguchi shouted in unison, celebrating as they finally cleared the level you’d been stuck on. Their excitement filled the room, and Tsukishima, clearly irritated by the noise, let out an exasperated sigh.
"So loud," he commented, his tone as sharp as always.
Suddenly, the door burst open, and Daichi appeared, looking surprised and slightly annoyed. "Hey, it’s late! What are you all still doing up?" he said firmly. Taking in the scene before him, he frowned in disbelief. "What… what is this? Go wash that stuff off your faces and get to bed. Now."
With a collective sigh, everyone began getting up and reluctantly leaving the room, some grumbling about the captain’s order while others simply muttered their goodnights, resigned to Daichi’s reprimand.
You grumbled softly under your breath as you walked at a slow pace, trailing far behind the group of boys. "Damn… This is what I get for showing up early," you muttered, casting a frustrated glance at the figures running ahead. Ukai’s training sessions were notorious for being grueling, but you’d never thought you’d find yourself caught up in one.
"Come with us, you never exercise, not even in PE," the redhead had said with that boundless energy of his that sometimes got on your nerves. Stupid carrot head, you thought with a mix of irritation and resignation.
Unlike the rest, who were already running at a steady pace, you chose not to rush. Instead of trying to keep up, you preferred to stroll leisurely, enjoying the cool morning air and the quiet streets stretching out before you.
"Hinata, don’t yell for no reason; you’re just going to tire yourself out faster," Daichi warned, his tone firm but patient. Hinata, however, ignored the advice, picking up his pace to try and overtake Kageyama.
"Hey, where are you going?" Daichi exclaimed again as the redhead suddenly veered off course with all his impulsiveness.
You sighed at the commotion, finally catching up to the group, who had stopped by the side of the road for a break. Despite the curious glances sent your way, you didn’t stop. You simply kept walking with the same calm as before, unwavering in your stride.
"Wait, where are you going now?" Daichi asked, raising an eyebrow at your indifference to the team’s pause.
"To find him," you replied without slowing down, adjusting your high ponytail and brushing away the strands of hair that had begun sticking to the back of your neck from the heat. "Let’s just get this over with. It’s too hot to drag this out any longer."
You continued walking, your pace steady and determined. As you turned a corner, your gaze landed on Shoyo, who seemed engrossed in an animated conversation with another boy.
"Shoyo!" you called firmly as you approached. He quickly turned at the sound of your voice, an innocent smile lighting up his face. However, your attention soon shifted to the young man standing beside him.
He was dressed in a red tracksuit, probably his school uniform, and though his posture was relaxed, there was something in his gaze that unsettled you. His sharp, feline eyes rested on you for a moment, calmly analyzing before returning to the phone in his hands. He was reserved, that much was clear, but there was something intriguing about his demeanor. For a moment, he reminded you of Nayuta, though with a more masculine version of her serene expression—except for the blonde hair that set him apart.
"Oh, there you are!" Shoyo exclaimed, interrupting your thoughts with his usual energy, bouncing toward you like he was celebrating a victory. "This is Kozume Kenma; he’s a second-year in high school and, well… he’s lost," he explained, casually pointing at the blonde boy.
"I-I’m Y/N Y/LN," you introduced yourself, bowing slightly with more nervousness than you would’ve liked to show. Why are you stuttering? For god’s sake, he’s just a cute guy, you scolded yourself internally, feeling a slight warmth on your cheeks.
Kenma barely nodded in response, murmuring something that sounded vaguely like "nice to meet you" without looking up from his phone. His lack of interaction didn’t bother you; instead, it piqued your curiosity about his quiet and reserved personality.
"Did you know Kenma plays volleyball too?" Hinata chimed in enthusiastically. Hearing that, your eyes drifted to the athletic shoes poking out of the bag next to the blonde boy. They were of good quality, evidently worn but well cared for.
"He’s a setter, but not like ours," Shoyo continued, referring to Kageyama.
"Thank God," you muttered under your breath, just loud enough to pass as a casual remark. The thought of dealing with another Kageyama sounded exhausting.
Kenma glanced up for just a second. "What about you? What position do you play?" he asked, raising his voice just enough for you to hear him clearly.
"She’s our coach’s assistant," Hinata answered before you could even open your mouth. You shot him a sidelong glance, mildly annoyed, but decided not to correct him.
While Hinata continued chatting with Kenma, you stayed silent, merely observing. You noted how effortlessly Shoyo filled any empty space with his contagious energy. Before the redhead could ask the boy about his school, a deep voice rang out from down the street, cutting through the moment.
"Kenma!" called a tall guy with black hair styled in an unusually striking way. His presence dominated the space, his tone a blend of authority and familiarity.
"Kuro," Kenma responded with his characteristic calm. Without hurry, he stood and walked toward his companion.
"Bye," Kenma murmured as he left. You felt a pang of disappointment watching him go so quickly. "See you, Shoyo, Y/N," he added, his tone slightly warmer.
Your eyes met his in that final moment. And just when you thought there wouldn’t be any further interaction, Kenma did something unexpected: he threw you a quick wink, so subtle you might have missed it if you hadn’t kept eye contact. A sudden warmth rose to your cheeks, and before you could process it, he was already walking away with Kuro, as if nothing had happened.
The air, which had felt cool and relaxing earlier, now seemed uncomfortably warm. “Someone hold me…” you muttered under your breath, stunned by what had just occurred. The sense of discomfort and confusion was almost tangible.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Hinata asked, noticing your bewildered state. His eyes sparkled with concern as he observed you curiously. “You’re red. It’s because of the sun, isn’t it?”
Hinata, in his typical fashion, placed a hand on your forehead to shield you from the direct sunlight, trying to protect you with his innocent gesture. However, something in his expression shifted when his gaze followed the direction Kenma and Kuro had taken. His eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, it seemed like something had just “clicked” in his mind.
“No… no, no, no way…” he mumbled to himself, as if trying to process an impossible thought. Then, he looked at you, bewildered, noticing you were still silent and your face was still flushed.
“No… it can’t be!” Hinata repeated, his face a mix of confusion and barely hidden curiosity. “Come on, you just met him, and you already… you?” he tried to continue, but you cut him off, placing a hand over his mouth to silence him before he could say more.
“Stop talking,” you said firmly, trying to regain your composure. Straightening up, you stared at Hinata. “Not a word about this, okay?” The seriousness in your tone made it clear this wasn’t the time for jokes.
Hinata looked at you with an amused expression, and you knew you couldn’t trust him to keep this secret. His face was far too mischievous, as if the whole thing was just a game to him.
“Understood?” you insisted, pressing your hand more firmly against his face, hoping he’d finally get the message.
Instead of answering directly, Hinata did something completely unexpected—he licked your palm, as if he couldn’t care less about what you were asking. The gesture left you utterly stunned and, if you were honest, a little grossed out.
“Ugh, that’s disgusting!” you scolded, pulling your hand away quickly and shaking it with a look of disdain.
The familiar voice of Sugawara interrupted you both at that moment. “Hey, guys!” he called out, making you and Hinata turn toward him. “We’ve been looking for you.”
“Sorry,” Hinata apologized with a sheepish smile, not seeming too bothered. “I ran off and got lost.”
“It’s fine,” Sugawara replied, brushing off the incident. “Come on, we need to head back.” With that, the group began walking back to the gym, their conversation resuming its usual flow.
It wasn’t long before Hinata sidled up to you, murmuring a question. “Are you going to tell me what that was about?” But before you could respond, he darted away when he caught the murderous glare you shot at him—a clear warning that you didn’t want to talk about it.
“Girls are so weird,” Hinata muttered under his breath, seemingly to himself, glancing at you with a mix of curiosity and mild fear.
Finally, the long-awaited day of the match against Nekoma had arrived. Both teams were lined up in front of the entrance to the gym, ready to enter the venue where the match would take place. The rows were neat, with Karasuno players on one side and Nekoma players on the other.
Your gaze swept across the opposing lineup, and that’s when you saw him: Kenma, the reserved guy you had met not long ago, now dressed in the red and black uniform of Nekoma. To your surprise, he was playing as the setter for the opposing team. Wow, so he's their setter. Cool, I’ll get to see him play, you thought, feeling an odd excitement at the prospect of watching him in action.
"Kenma!" Hinata called before he could enter the gym, excitement clear in his voice. "You're on Nekoma?" he asked, not bothering to hide his surprise.
"Ah, yeah," Kenma replied with his usual calm.
"Why didn’t you tell me?" Hinata puffed his cheeks, clearly annoyed that he hadn’t known this detail earlier.
"Because you didn’t ask..." Kenma looked away, his answer as simple as ever, though no less effective.
Hinata furrowed his brows, as if trying to process his teammate's logic. "But you said we’d see each other! How could you not tell me something like that?" he insisted, still confused.
Kenma glanced at him out of the corner of his eye, a slight glint of amusement in his gaze. "Your shirt said 'Karasuno High.' It was pretty obvious," he concluded indifferently, leaving Hinata without a comeback.
Before the conversation could continue, a tall and intimidating-looking guy appeared behind Kenma, drawing the attention of both you and Hinata. His expression was serious, and his posture radiated a kind of passive threat.
"Hey," he said in a deep voice, addressing you and Hinata directly. "What do you want with our setter?" His tone aimed to be intimidating, but to you, it was nothing more than a half-hearted attempt.
Hinata, almost instinctively, took a step back and hid behind you, leaving you to handle the situation.
"It’s none of your business," you replied calmly, crossing your arms while maintaining eye contact with the guy. Your voice, though relaxed, carried an edge of challenge. "And who are you?" you added, raising an eyebrow, making it clear that his attitude didn’t impress you.
Before the other guy could respond, Tanaka's voice rang out behind you, full of energy and attitude. "And what do you want from our first-years?" he spat, stepping forward to position himself in front of you with a challenging stance. You glanced at him, feeling a twinge of exasperation. This is ridiculous, you thought, crossing your arms while trying to maintain composure.
As Tanaka and the tall guy began an exchange of words that seemed to escalate quickly, something else caught your attention. A soft "hello" was heard next to you, immediately capturing your interest. When you turned, you found Kenma, who was staring with unusual concentration at the screen of your PSP. On the device, the startup menu of God of War: Ghost of Sparta glowed with its characteristic dark and rustic tones.
Kenma kept his gaze fixed on the screen as you held the console in your hands, his interest clear despite his serene expression. "Do you like it?" he asked in his calm tone, which somehow made your heart beat a little faster.
"Yeah, although... I’m still on level 5," you confessed, lowering your voice slightly as if admitting it were some kind of weakness. "It’s harder than I expected."
Kenma nodded, moving a little closer to get a better look at the screen, his golden eyes analyzing every detail. "Yeah, God of War can be tough if you’re not used to the combos. This one, in particular, has some interesting mechanics, but also a couple of frustrating enemies. Have you faced the Giant Scorpion yet?"
Your face lit up with a mix of excitement and nervousness. "No! I haven’t gotten that far yet, but I’ve heard it’s pretty tough. I’m trying to improve my combos... but I always end up pressing buttons randomly when I get nervous," you admitted, letting out a small nervous laugh as you brushed a lock of hair from your face.
Kenma made a small gesture that seemed like an attempt at a smile. "That happens at first. But if you focus on blocking and dodging at the right moment, the fights get easier. Have you tried using the Spartan Rage? It’s good for clearing out hordes."
You shook your head, embarrassed. "No... I think I forgot how to activate it. The tutorial went too fast, and I didn’t want to go back and check."
Kenma looked at you, surprisingly patient. "It’s L1 and R1 at the same time. Try it next time you’re surrounded by enemies." Then, his eyes returned to the screen, but his closeness made you increasingly aware of every little movement.
"Ah... thanks," you managed to say, feeling ridiculously nervous by his attention. It’s just a guy, calm down, you repeated to yourself, even though your hands started to sweat slightly as you held the console.
"If you want, I can help you with that level," Kenma offered, completely casually, as if it were no big deal. But for you, that simple suggestion made your mind go blank for a moment. Help you? Play together?
"R-really?" you stammered, heat rising to your cheeks. "I mean... if it’s not a bother."
Both of you were so absorbed in your conversation that you didn’t notice the four Karasuno guys watching from a few steps behind. Kageyama had approached Hinata, who seemed to be following the interaction with a mix of surprise and amusement.
"What’s going on?" asked the black-haired boy, frowning.
Hinata, with his usual enthusiasm, leaned toward him and whispered something in his ear. Kageyama furrowed his brow even more, confused. "What about her?" he asked aloud, causing the other two—Yamaguchi and Tsukishima—to step closer.
"Shh, lower your voice," Hinata insisted, whispering. "Look!"
Following his indication, Kageyama turned his gaze toward you and Kenma, who were still absorbed in your conversation. He seemed to understand what Hinata was implying, although his reaction was more of a shrug.
The scene didn’t go unnoticed by Yamaguchi and Tsukishima, who had also approached out of curiosity. Hinata, always the first to spread rumors, whispered the same thing to both of them. Yamaguchi covered his mouth to hold back a nervous laugh, but Tsukishima didn’t react immediately. His gaze darkened as he watched the interaction between you and Kenma, the slight flush on your face, and the calm with which the Nekoma blond stayed by your side.
"Ridiculous," Tsukishima muttered, adjusting his glasses with a sharp motion before stepping forward toward you.
"Hey, Y/N," he said, his voice laced with false calm, "I think Coach Ukai is looking for you." He placed a hand on your shoulder, guiding you forward while looking at you with an almost challenging intensity. "He might need your help."
You couldn’t help but let a hint of doubt show in your eyes. It didn’t sound convincing, but still, the pressure of his hand on your shoulder pushed you to take a few steps forward. "Really?" you asked, your tone revealing more skepticism than certainty.
Tsukishima, however, didn’t seem to be shaken. "Yeah," he responded with a calculated softness, though his expression wasn’t entirely honest. "You know how he is. Better go before he gets in a bad mood."
With a resigned sigh, you finally decided to follow him, stealing one last glance at Kenma before he walked away without saying a word.

— FOREIGNER
How the Karasuno boys would react to meeting Shoyo's foreign cousin.
— starring. karasuno boys x foreign exchange student!reader (separately), student teacher!reader in ukai's
— tags. fluff, first meetings, pining
— warnings. use of 'pretty' and 'cute' to describe reader, but no pronouns are used, you slap ryuu in his LOL, mild suggestive comment in ryuu's if you squint
— requested? yes! thank you so much for your request this was fun to write :)
— notes. some of these are longer than others sorry ADHKWH my biases are showing a lil // this ended up being a first meeting + how they act when they start crushing on you, but it they're so cute so i didnt wanna change it lolol
daichi is whipped for you from the start
he doesn't show it (or he doesn't think he does) but he's attracted to you the second he lays eyes on you
he's extra sure to be polite to you, too embarrassed too show his brasher nature in case it scares you off
he loses his backbone whenever you're around
he needs to scold some of the first years for goofing off, but you're standing there? he's all sunshine and rainbows
when he finds out that you're a foreign exchange student, he's over the moon
he subtly finds out your classes from shoyo, who of course doesn't realize his intentions as he blurts out your schedule happily
he checks up on you often, making sure you're adjusting well to japan because "what kind of captain would he be if he let his underclassman's cousin have a hard time?"
the team is none the wiser, except for maybe koshi who sees through his shit immediately
he has a habit of patting your head as a greeting, even if he's just passing you in the hallways even if you complain about him messing up your hair
overall, he's super soft with you :)
sawamura daichi! was annoyed when he met you. shoyo hadn't shown up to practice and wasn't answering his phone, which left the captain ready to send the orange-haired freshman to an early grave. after kei made a smart remark that he saw shoyo lingering near the school entrance, he was on a mission to give the boy hell.
kei was right, of course. when daichi made his way to the entrance, he saw shoyo right away. he stomps over, lips parting to lecture the younger male about responsibilities when his eyes ghost over you. he stops short, shoyo's name barely dropping from his mouth as he pauses.
when you both turn to him, daichi feels his breath catch in his throat. it was clear that you weren't from around here. your odd sense of dress stuck out like a sore thumb—not to mention he had never seen you before. but if anything, he thought you were pretty.
"you're late for practice," daichi states lamely, barely managing to tear his gaze away from you to glower at shoyo. "i ought to put you on cleaning duty tonight."
the threat fell on deaf ears, shoyo's large grin unfaltering as he wraps an arm around your midsection in a tight hug. "captain! sorry, sorry," he apologizes, though the wide grin on his face told daichi he wasn't serious. "my cousin texted me that they were here, so i had to say hi!"
at his words, you finally snap out of your stupor, offering daichi a small smile. "i didn't realize he had practice. i wouldn't have called him out if i knew."
daichi presses his lips together, feeling his ears warm at your kind tone. "it's okay," he says softly. "i'll let him off for now. it's nice to meet you—i'm sawamura daichi."
when you introduce yourself, he finds himself repeating your name in his head.
"oi," he clears his throat, turning to shoyo with a deadpan expression. "c'mon. we're late enough already." daichi turns to bow his head at you politely, quickly turning around before you can see the warmth in his cheeks.
your sweet voice calls out a goodbye, and daichi decides then and there that he wants to get to know you better.
"hey, hey—why are you so red?"
"you're gonna shut up now if you want to go home early tonight."
koshi didn't realize you were shoyo's cousin until after he got to know you a little
he couldn't help it—when he saw you he just thought you were super cute lmao
he fumbles a bit in front of you
he really really tries to be a cool, calm, and collected person but sometimes he embarrasses himself by saying odd things or staring at you a little too long
when he does figure out you're related to his underclassman, he takes the opportunity to get to know you better
and when he finds out you're in his homeroom? even better
the type to arrange study session together with you every weekend just to spend time with you
he actually invites you to watch their practices and games before shoyo does LOL
the whole team knows about his feelings and he doesn't even care, constantly throwing an arm over you shoulder and hanging around you during downtimes
wants to impress you, so he gives it his all (and then some) whenever you're there
his sets get more accurate and he even blocks more hits than he would've before
he really wants you to think he's cool
but if you compliment him, he's exploding on the spot
suguwara koshi! had no idea you were shoyo's cousin when he met you. you looked nothing alike and your personalities were completely different. despite you being a complete stranger, the lost look on your face amused him.
you met koshi when shoyo accidentally stranded you at the train station. you were supposed to take the same train to his house, but he didn't notice you weren't right behind him when he stepped into the train car. the last you saw of the tangerine-haired boy was the back of his head as the doors closed on you.
you were standing there in a panic, though no one stopped to check if you were okay. shoyo had you hold his schoolbag while he dragged your suitcase along, and when you tried calling his cellphone you heard it buzz in the bag that hung on your shoulder. for the life of you, you couldn't remember which stop to get off or which streets to take to get to his house.
"are you lost?" a gentle voice asks you, pulling you from your anxious thoughts.
your eyes meet and koshi can't help but think you're cute as hell. you look doe-eyed in your panic, rounded eyes and parted lips. when you don't answer right away, koshi's cool demeanor switches and he stumbles into an embarrassed frenzy. "wait, can you even understand japanese?"
thankfully, you do, having learned it from shoyo at a younger age. you blink away the remnants of your panic with a few hasty nods. "yes, sorry. my cousin accidentally left me here, and i don't really know how to get to his house..."
koshi calms down at your insistence, chuckling to himself. "do you know the address?"
you wince, "no."
"alright," he says in a way that he hopes is soothing for you. "i can keep you company while you wait for him to return, then. it'd probably be nicer than just standing here by yourself."
when you agree, he hides his smile. he asks you several icebreakers, such as your name and your favourite colour. with every passing second, he only thinks you're even cuter than when he first saw you.
eventually, shoyo does come back, panting and heaving as he runs up the stairs to the station platform. his bright eyes widen when he sees you together with koshi. "oh, sugawara? you've met my cousin?"
koshi meets your eyes with a grin. "i guess we'll be seeing each other more often."
honestly asahi doesn't even acknowledge you when you first meet
he doesn't find out you're shoyo's cousin for weeks, so you're really just another classmate to him
you don't even talk to each other until like a month or so after you transferred
and even then, your conversations are short
he's polite to you when you work together, but he doesn't really try to become friends with you
don't get him wrong! he thinks you're nice and pretty, but he is too damn shy to initiate anything with you
you kinda think he hates you at first, but after you realize that he's just not an outgoing person you relax around him
when he does find out you're related to shoyo, you end up seeing each other more often out of class
you show up to more practices, even if you're just sitting on the benches doing homework
shoyo even drags you along whenever the team meets up outside of school to hang out
as a result, you and asahi eventually grow closer and he opens up more bit by bit
he doesn't actually start crushing on you until graduation nears
he realizes it when he hears you cheering his name at one of their bigger games
he thinks his name sounds prettier coming from you
he doesn't initiate any skinship with you, but he's always asking about your day and checking on you in his own ways
will absolutely combust if you even so much as brush pinkies as you're walking together
azumane asahi! first met you in class. like koshi, he doesn't know you're related to shoyo initially. when the teacher introduces you, making you write your name on the board, you don't have the same last name as shoyo. he doesn't really pay much attention to you, minding his own business as he takes out his notebook and pens.
several weeks pass and your homeroom teacher announces that you'll be partnering up for a group presentation. your first real conversation with him goes as expected—you exchange contact information and go your separate ways when the bell rings.
he thinks you're attractive, but he's too shy to actually act on those thoughts and he just pushes through the project, interacting with you as little as possible.
it's only when shoyo forgets his volleyball uniform at your house that asahi figures out you're related.
he sees you first, standing in the gym entrance while you wait to be invited in. you look hesitant as your eyes cast over the several members of the volleyball club, your gaze landing on asahi. when recognition flickers behind your eyes, he thinks you're there for him.
he opens his mouth to greet you, but before he can even utter a word, an orange blur runs past him. you're almost knocked on your ass as shoyo tackles you, excitedly calling out your name. "what're you doing here?" he asks you, tilting his head as he releases you from his death grip. "you never come to practice."
"you left your uniform at mine," you explain quietly, pulling the clothing out of your bag.
there's a moment of silence, before all hell breaks loose. the others scream and yell at shoyo, yuu and ryuunosuke shaking him by the shoulders as they demand why they weren't informed about his girlfriend.
even asahi's jaw drops at the thought of you, his classmate and group partner, dating shoyo, of all people.
"we aren't dating!" you exclaim, shaking your hands in front of you adamantly as disgust paints over your facial features. "we're cousins."
as the club eventually quiets down, you meet asahi's gaze over the commotion. when you offer him a bashful smile, he can't help but return it.
as expected, yuu is also whipped for you the second you meet
he swears on his life that he has never met someone as perfect as you—not even kiyoko (which says a lot)
at first, his attraction to you is entirely physical and he doesn't hide it
he compliments you every time he sees you he even compliments your outfits even if you're just wearing the karasuno uniform
he practically begs shoyo to bring you to practice just so he has an excuse to ogle at you and profess his 'undying love'
you'd probably make good friends with kiyoko, bonding over the second years' unabashed feelings and loud professions of love lol
though he's completely smitten with your looks, yuu doesn't learn a thing about you until like two months after your transfer
he realizes it when koshi asks if he knows anything about you and no, the fact that you're pretty doesn't count as something
during a late night run to the nearest convenience store, he runs into you
you're dressed casually, and he realizes it's actually the first time he's seen you outside of uniform
he thinks you're very cute in your bunny pajamas
he approaches you with koshi's words in mind, and asks if you want to hang out for a bit
your hang outs become a common thing, and eventually it's your weekend tradition to meet at the convenient store after sundown
after really getting to know you, he realizes that he likes more than just your appearance
shockingly, once he figures out his feelings for you, he tones down a lot
he would stop confessing his love for you every moment he could, but he gets casually affectionate with you
he'd always stand close enough for your shoulders to touch and would absentmindedly guide you places by taking your hand
he's never had a real crush on anyone before, so he's feeling it out with you
nishinoya yuu! has hearts in his eyes the moment he meets you. shoyo brought you to practice one day, excited to introduce his favourite cousin to his teammates. he had all but dragged you to the gym by the wrist, ignoring your insistent utterings that you can walk on your own.
"this is my cousin!" shoyo announces the second he bursts through the doors in true hinata shoyo fashion. you were the last ones to show up, so the entire team was there to witness you getting dragged in by shoyo. "they transferred here from overseas."
yuu feels the world stop once he glances over at you after receiving a particularly harsh spike from tobio, freezing into his squatted position. his world becomes a romcom movie—he swears someone must be blowing a fan in your direction with the way your hair sways as you walk into the gym. he might even be seeing the air sparkle in your presence.
he's absolutely starstruck with you, and he makes no effort to hide it as he bounds over to you. he takes your hands in his, looking at you with wide eyes as he takes you in. he can hear someone groaning, maybe daichi, as they mutter something along the lines of "he's at it again."
"i'm nishinoya yuu," he introduces himself. "you're really cute!"
your mouth opens, but no words come out as you simply stare at yuu in surprise. shoyo had given you a brief rundown of his group members, and you realize that this might be why he warned you about the libero in particular.
even when daichi smacks the back of his head, apologizing to you quietly, yuu remains in his lovestruck gaze.
you stay to watch their practice, at both shoyo and yuu's insistence, and yuu makes a point to be even more extravagant than usual. you can't help but laugh at his boisterous rolling receives and the way he calls out ridiculous move names.
oh ryuu. typical ryuu.
the first words he ever speaks to you end up with him getting slapped
like yuu, he thinks you've been blessed by the gods with your looks and he makes it clear to you when you meet
he asks you to go out with him, only to blatantly check you out right after, which earned him a smack to the face
eventually, he does apologize for his behaviour, though you don't accept it right away
when you tell him that you hate guys who treat others like eye candy, he's sure to tone it down for you
of course, a man can't change overnight
he still flirts with you, and with other women—he can't help it ;( him n yuu are menaces
however, when he's not being an absolute pest, he gets to know you
he learns about your interests and hobbies, and finds himself indulging you in them (who would've thought he'd end up enjoying the art of bracelet making?)
when you become close friends, you become his person
he goes to you whenever he wants to talk about something, and he lends an ear whenever you need to vent
he asks you about your home country often, wanting to know more about your life before you came to japan
he'd even go out of his way to do things for you that remind you of home whenever you start feeling homesick :)
it's not until well after graduation when he realizes that he might actually like you
tanaka ryuunosuke! was mid confession when you met. shoyo had brought you to one of their games, and just as ryuunosuke was getting on his knees to ask kiyoko to marry him, his eyes fall on you.
it's almost astounding how quickly the second year moved from the glasses-wearing beauty to you, appearing in front of you in an instant. before shoyo can even introduce you, he stares you down with a steeled expression, his eyes narrowing.
"you're the prettiest person i've ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on," he claims in his most serious tone. he takes your hands in his as he presses his lips to your knuckles. "please go out with me."
there's a collective sigh as the team turns away at his antics. you, on the other hand, feel your head pound in irritation. "excuse me?"
ryuunosuke doesn't hear the vexation in your tone, or chooses to ignore it, as his eyes trail over your features. even when you're staring at him in an angry disbelief, he thinks you're incredibly pretty. however, as his eyes drop lower and lower, his mind enters a less-than-appropriate headspace.
the feeling of your hand connecting with his cheek rips him out of his lewd daydreams. you didn't slap him hard, but the sound echoed over the loud chatter of the audience members anyway. "you pervert," you utter, gritting your teeth as you turn on your heel. you barely tell shoyo good luck as you all but stomp off to the bleachers.
ryuunosuke stares at your back, holding his reddening cheek in mild awe. yuu nudges his side. "don't tell me you're into that, man."
he at least has the grace to blush.
to be honest, you and tobio do not get along until much later
it's not because you're related to shoyo it is
he just genuinely has no idea how to talk to you lmao
you meet him on the first day of school with shoyo
the realization that he may be teammates with the very guy he had practically berated in middle school took priority over greeting you tbh
it's only after their initial fight when he realizes that you, a complete stranger, saw him yell at shoyo as harshly as he did (even if shoyo didn't have many nice things to say either)
he's kinda embarrassed abt it tbh
like?? you had to see him like that?? he's mortified
so when he joins the volleyball club and you're a manager, he avoids you like the plague
when he talks to you, he accidentally comes across as if he hates your guts (he doesn't, he just cannot properly converse with people to save his life)
your relationship is extremely terse for months, since you get pissed off at his behaviour and he doesn't know how to act normally around you
he doesn't warm up to you until one of their games later in the season, where the morale is low and the team is hanging their heads
you give them an uplifting speech, telling the team that they're stronger than they think
it's the first time tobio looks at you in a pleasant light, and he merely puts a hand on your shoulder to say thanks as he makes his way back to the court
slowburn as fuck tbh he might not even realize he likes you until you're about to graduate (cut him some slack he's only a lil slow)
kageyama tobio! barely acknowledges your existence when you meet. you had moved to japan before their first year at karasuno began, so you showed up with shoyo to the first day.
of course, tobio recognized shoyo immediately from their encounter in middle school. shoyo had dragged you to the gym to go with him to sign up for the volleyball club, insistent that you try to apply to be a manager or something. tobio was there, about to spike a volleyball.
the second shoyo and tobio lock eyes on each other, they're at it like cats and dogs, and you're left standing there in confusion. seeing shoyo as angry as he was is shocking to you and you wonder what the hell this other guy must've done to rile up your sunshine cousin so much.
tobio doesn't even look at you as he argues with shoyo, not meeting your eyes until after the fight has 'calmed' down. he stares at you quietly for a moment before averting his gaze, grumbling something under his breath as he leaves to retrieve the volleyball shoyo made him drop.
he doesn't say anything to you as you talk quietly with daichi about becoming a manager. he vaguely overhears shoyo introducing you as his cousin, but he's too annoyed to listen.
later on, when him and shoyo are finally accepted into the club, and you're brought on as a manager-in-training, tobio still ignores you.
you don't have your first conversation until a week later, when you corner him after practice. "what is your problem?" you demand, your hands propped on your hips. "i know you don't like sho, but you haven't said a single word to me since you joined the club."
tobio flushes in embarrassment as he stares at you. he doesn't mean to, but his eyes narrow into what could be perceived as a harsh glare. "i don't have anything to say," he says truthfully, his voice coming out colder than necessary.
when he rushes off to hide his growing fluster, you're left standing there confused.
you and kei barely interacted at first tbh
he had never seen you before and it was the weekend when you met so he had no reason to assume you'd ever talk again really
even after finding out you were related to shoyo, he didn't bat an eye
after all, he's not exactly going over to the orange-haired boy's house for sleepovers lolol
but to his surprise, you're in his classroom the next monday morning as a foreign exchange student
your classmates rush to you, overwhelming you with numerous questions about your hometown, and it's clear to kei that you're flustered
you meet his gaze over the crowd of people, and for a moment you're shocked to see him
however, before either of you can do anything, you get bombarded with even more questions
to your surprise and his, kei scoffs as he approaches your crowded desk
"can't you see you're bothering them?"
the gaggle of students dissipates with embarrassed apologies, leaving you and kei alone
your relationship with him from then on is odd
there's an unspoken agreement that you both don't like being bothered by other people, and you lowkey bond over it
he would never admit you're friends, but he comes to your rescue often
if you can't understand a phrase or if you don't know the answer to a question in class, he'll quietly help you out (but don't bother asking about it, 'cus he'll deny it vehemently)
when you start hanging out during practices, he ruffles your hair and rests his arm on your head regardless of your height
making fun of you is his love language (not that he'd ever admit he has feelings)
tsukishima kei! meets you when you're babysitting natsu. the team had been out getting ice cream (as per koshi's insistence—for team building), leaving kei in a sour mood because he would rather be anywhere than here.
"shoyo! sho!"
the whole team looks over, seeing a little girl who is the spitting image of their short middle blocker running toward them. kei's expression drops even more, because there's two of them?
shoyo almost drops his ice cream cone with the way the little girl jumps on him. "what are you doing here?" shoyo asks, scrambling to catch his sweet treat. "where's—"
before he can finish his sentence, another figure comes running at them, out of breath. "natsu!" you scold airily as you make your way up to the team, hunching over and resting your hands on your knees as you try to catch your breath. "jesus, don't just run off like that!"
you look up at shoyo from your hunched position, letting kei get a good look at your face. you're flushed, sweat beading on your brow bone and lips are parted as you breathe harshly through them. it's clear to the blond that you've been running around for some time now, something that makes him snort into his strawberry ice cream cup.
"sorry, sho," you wince, practically dragging the little girl, natsu, to your side. "she ran off while i was paying for her snacks. she probably saw you through the window." you vaguely gesture to a nearby convenience store, holding up a bag of candy.
you talk with shoyo for another moment, before turning to the rest of the team. your eyes briefly meet kei's and he arches a brow at you. you apologize for interrupting them, but daichi insists that you're fine and that you and natsu can hang around since you're there anyway.
as a result, you and kei end up standing near each other as the group converses. kei had been hanging a little bit away from the others, minus tadashi of course. you end up near him by coincidence—you don't know the others, and the three of you end up quietly sitting in acknowledgement that you didn't want to talk.
my darling baby tadashi is a mess when you meet <3
he was practicing his volleyball skills when he accidentally whams you in the face
he'd feel guilty about it for a while (even if you insist you're fine) and would use it as an excuse to buy you drinks from the vending machines lol
"this is the fourth drink you've bought me this week??"
"i have to make up for hitting you somehow :((("
becoming friends with tadashi is surprisingly easy, given how shy he can be
it becomes a habit to meet you by the vending machines before practice
the time in the halls between classes and volleyball are spent getting to know you
he asks a lot of questions about what it's like in your hometown and the differences in your culture
i don't think he'd start liking you until after you also get close with kei though lol good luck
the first time he sees you joking around with the tall blond, he thinks his heart is about to beat out of his chest
you must be an angel, he decides as he watches you get along with kei
the three of you form a trio and you end up spending more time with them than shoyo LOL
kei absolutely knows about tadashi's feelings and takes every opportunity to tease him about it whilst you're blissfully unaware
he's so so smitten around you after he realizes he likes you
the type to look at you like you hung the stars in the sky yourself and to becoming maddeningly red whenever you so much as make eye contact with him
yamaguchi tadashi! hits you in the head the first time he meets you. he was in the gym alone, practicing his float serve. you pushed through the heavy metal doors just in time to get slammed in the face with a ball gone awry.
he feels his heart drop to his toes as he quickly rushes over to you, asking if you're alright and if you need to see the nurse. his panic only worsens when he realizes you're bleeding from your nose.
although the hit shocked you, you're left watching in amusement as tadashi scrambles to find something to stop your nosebleed with. when he eventually returns to you, having ran from the boys washroom to grab a wad of papertowel, he apologizes again softly.
"are you okay now...?" he asks when your nosebleed finally stops. he looks almost like a kicked puppy, his hair falling limply into his eyes.
even after you reassure him that you're fine, tadashi still wears his guilt like a crown. he offers to buy you something from the vending machines, and does so despite your insistence that he doesn't need to.
"you can accept it for my sake," he says sheepishly as he offers you the cold can. the two of you converse quietly, with you introducing yourself as a new foreign exchange student.
"oh!" he suddenly lets out, looking over at you. "did you need something in the gym?"
"i was looking for my cousin," you sigh. "he said he was in the volleyball club and i haven't been able to find him at all today."
he's shocked when he finds out that you're shoyo's cousin—the boy had talked about you earlier in the week when he found out you were transferring to karasuno. as you talk, tadashi thinks to himself that shoyo never mentioned how cute you were.
your first meeting with keishin is awkward
ltrly knocks you off your feet when he runs into you
he's kind of brash when he meets you, not caring if you think of him badly because of it
you don't have much of a relationship at first—your work pulls you to the classrooms after all, so he doesn't really see you around often
the next time he sees you, you're stomping into the gymnasium mid practice with an irked expression
he's about to tell you off for interrupting practice, but he quiets when he sees you make your way to your younger cousin
he only watches in amusement when you tell him off for his horrid grades
when shoyo turns to keishin for help, he only shrugs with a lazy grin on his face
"sorry, little man, you heard 'em. no volleyball games until you raise your grades"
to shoyo's chagrin, you and keishin make a terrifying pair for him (and the other three idiots lolol)
you only really start hanging out with him when you end up making a late night run at his convenience store
it's the first time he sees you in casual clothing and the case of beer in your hands makes him laugh
"you wanna share that?"
he becomes your drinking buddy every other weekend, and he grows to cherish the time you spend chugging back cans of beer with him
keeps his feelings on the downlow, but as time goes on even the boys realize that their coach has a soft spot for you
ukai keishin! bodies you the first time you meet. the man doesn't realize his own strength until he literally knocks you flat on his ass after he turns a corner and bumps into you. his eyes go wide when the books and papers in your hands go flying, falling around you in a frenzy.
"shit," he curses under his breath, bending down to pick up your things. "sorry 'bout that." his voice is gruff as he speaks, collecting your papers without much care. when he returns them to you, some of them are scuffed and crumpled.
as he's handing you your things, he finally gets a good look at you. you're dressed more formally than he is by a mile. he holds a hand out to help you to your feet, his brown eyes falling to the lanyard around your neck.
"you new here?" he asks, jutting his chin out to gesture to your nametag. student teacher is typed above your name and picture.
you nod deftly, brushing off any dirt from your dress pants. "i started today. and you are?" your eyes meet his, and he knows you're silently scrutinizing him. he's much too old to be a student, you deduce easily, but he's dressed far more casually than any other other teachers.
when your eyes drift up to his bleached hair, he snorts. "i'm the coach for the volleyball club," he grumbles. "i don't need to be wearing fancy shit like you."
he sees your eyes light up in recognition as he analyzes your face with crossed arms. "the volleyball club? you must know my cousin then. hinata shoyo?"
keishin deadpans at you. "you're the runt's cousin?"
