RAMBLING THOUGHTS AFTER FINISHING PART TWO. GONNA ADDRESS MY P1 THOUGHTS FIRST. SPOILER WARNING.
1 & 2: I think Debling couldāve worked in the second half, and Iām kinda sad Cressida didnāt get a happy ending. The Creloise fell of a CLIFF after ep 5 but I think it could still be saved
5: no cishet man has ever loved his wife more than Anthony Bridgerton Iām gonna be ill
6 & 12: kanthonyās absence was felt BAD in the finale, I think their reactions to LW were sorely needed. Also Jonny and Simone have both said theyāll be at every siblingās wedding and stick around for years but they missed Francescaās??? Also felt their absence too much then. Theyāre both booked and busy I think weāll continue to only get a couple episodes a season from them
8: Francesca did get to thrive happy in pt 2 my baby I love her
9: I think they managed to disconnect the mondrich plot even further like š once again, I donāt mind them their plot just feels very empty
10: Pen and Delacroix CONTINUE to be my fave duo I love them so freaking much and they can never get rid of it
13: Portiaās growth this season continued to be 10/10 I loved her and Penelopeās relationship it really showed what itās like to be closely related to people you oppose and the process of needing to forgive and understand them for your own peace of mind
14: that was not how I was expecting Colin to find out about Whistledown
15: Marcus felt a little rushed in part two but I think I need to watch the whole season together to fully decide
17: this was indeed the longest 27 days of my life I got Covid day after it dropped lmfao
MY ~NEW~ THOUGHTS:
We finally got character development from Cressida and if they write her out Iāll be inconsolable (as will Jessica Madsen)
I hope they paid Golda Rosheuvel good for her feet exposure. Worth more than titties in this economy
I feel the need to tell everyone that Ā£5000 in 1815 is in the realm of Ā£500,000 today and we cannot brush over the fact Penelope has made herself the equivalent of a literal millionaire
Anthony has two moods āIām obsessed with my wifeā āI want to win this gameā like it is comical how drastically different his facial expression is in the game of charades compared to pretty much every other scene
Anthony saying the marriage is perfect and not hard work and Kate being like BOY I will humble you,,,, doing the lordās work I love her so much
At some points I felt like Francesca was fighting Anthony for āVioletās least favourite childā award lmao
John saying heās off to look at the wainscotting was unfairly funny
Cressida in the red dress is even better than I imagined fuck even if sheās not gay then I am
Peneloise back together the universe is healing I love my babies all we need now is creloise lovers and peneloise friendship simultaneously I donāt like it being one or the other sue me
However much Brimsley is getting paid isnāt enough,,,, Hugh Sachs the man that you are
I adored Penelopeās wedding dress so much and as bitter as I am still about no kanthony wedding in s2, it felt kind of right somehow for Polin to be the first wedding we properly see in this show
Most of the costumes and makeup feel like they got worse,,,,, big āI hired a 14 year oldā energy. I donāt need historical accuracy but I would like a modicum of care and the costume/hair/makeup dept looking at a single historical reference from before 1850,,,, please
We all got the bi Benedict weāve been asking for and I appreciate it, and recognise that he needed Tilley to explore that, but I still wouldāve preferred if they first main queer experience was not a threesome
If they go straight into benophie in s4 (which idk, Iām so torn bc I feel like F, E and B all could work well next season) then I also feel like bi Benedict was just them throwing a bone for 5 mins but meant nothing
The CONTENTIOUS Michaela Stirling,,,,, I was undecided until I saw it but that was the definition of gay panic from Francesca and it worked so well I am so excited.
As your resident peerage expert, it is much easier for women to inherit titles in Scotland than England so I wonder (not that anyone on this show knows anything) if that was a reason they chose Francesca to be sapphic [general peerage info and female inheritance info if you care]
On the above, if they can canonically end racism with one marriage then they can end homophobia with one marriage as well
We all know Eloise was the easy and obvious choice to be the queer love story but part of me does kind of like them not taking the easy route, and them going something more unexpected, but that doesnāt mean I donāt want Creloise/Sapphic El like they had eight children letās be honest
Finchās sneeze and Phillipsās ānow Varely! The bugs!ā were unfairly funny
Everything Lady Danbury said to Penelope about suspecting her and what not felt very in character and you can fight with the wall idc
Did they tell us the name of Polinās baby boy???
Hyacinth saying she thinks of Gregory as the family pet,,,,, girl you an icon walking amongst mere mortals
Predictions I got right:
Anthony didnāt kill Colin, but āare you gonna duel your own brotherā lmao I was on the right track
I knew Polin would win the Featherington baby race and I love that for them (but why were Prudence and Phillipa pregnant most of the season, barely showing, Kate was showing almost immediately, and then in the epilogue the sisters all had babyās similar-ish ages???? Give the writers room a calendar please)
I SAID FROM DAY DOT THAT THE FURNITURE THEY BROKE FROM SEX WAS A CHAISE I CANT FIND THE POST BUT I KNEW IT I FUCKING KNEW IT WHERE DO I COLLECT MY PRIZE SOME OF YOUR GUESSES WERE TRULY FUCKING COOKED
Okay that was too long if you made it this far Iāll make you cookie ily

Last Christmas
Characters: Dean Winchester x Y/N Female character Ā Ā Ā Ā
Summary: Y/N, a close friend of Sam and Dean, secretly struggles with her feelings for Dean as Christmas approaches, knowing it might be his last due to his demon deal. She convinces Sam to decorate the motel room and celebrate christmas one last time.
Warnings: none
English is not my first languageĀ
Inspiration: season 3 ep. 8: A Very Supernatural Christmas
*Please do not copy my work, reblog/comments/likes are appreciated*Ā
It had been a long, grueling hunt. Y/N was exhausted, the adrenaline still wearing off as she leaned against the motel wall. Sam and Dean were nearby, packing away their gear with quiet efficiency. Even after years of hunting together, there was a comfort in their silence, a rhythm theyād all fallen into. But tonight, something felt differentāheavier, like the weight of the world was pressing harder than usual.
Y/N stole a glance at Dean. His jaw was clenched, eyes focused on the weapons in front of him, but she knew his mind was elsewhere. She couldnāt stop thinking about the demon deal he madeāthe deal that was hanging over all of their heads like a dark, looming cloud. Heād given up his life to save Samās, and now his days were numbered. The thought alone twisted her heart, and she found herself staring longer than she should have.
āY/N, you okay?ā Samās voice snapped her back to reality. She quickly looked away from Dean, her cheeks warming.
āYeah, justā¦ tired,ā she mumbled, forcing a smile. But Sam didnāt buy it, his brows furrowing as he studied her. He was always good at seeing right through her, but thankfully, he let it go this time.
Dean, however, didnāt seem to notice. He was already halfway out the door, saying something about grabbing food for the night.
As the door clicked shut behind him, Y/N let out a breath she didnāt realize she was holding. She turned to Sam, trying to shift the mood.
āSoā¦ Christmas is in a couple of days,ā she started, her voice soft, testing the waters.
Sam sighed, running a hand through his hair. āYeah, not really in the mood this year.ā
Y/N had expected that. Deanās deal hung over everything, making it hard to think about anything happy or festive. Still, she couldnāt help but want to give him somethingāone last Christmas, maybe, if things didnāt turn around. She had to try.
āCome on, Sam. I know things areā¦ hard right now. But maybe we can do something small. For Deanās sake, at least. It might be good for himāgood for all of us.ā
Sam hesitated, his jaw tightening. He stared at the floor, his conflict evident. āY/Nā¦ā
āPlease, Sam,ā she interrupted, her voice almost pleading. āI just want this Christmas to be special. It might be our last with him.ā
The room was quiet for a moment. Y/N saw Samās resolve crack, and finally, he nodded, his lips pressing into a thin line.
āFine. Iāll take care of the eggnog,ā he muttered,
--
Christmas eve arrived, Dean was out to get food thinking it would be a normal evening.
While Sam worked on the eggnog, Y/N busied herself with decorating the room. She strung up some old lights sheād found in a thrift store, their colorful glow bringing a little warmth to the cold, drab motel room. She even found a small, plastic Christmas tree earlier in the week, setting it up on the nightstand. It wasnāt much, but it felt a little like home.
As she adjusted the lights, she couldnāt help but think about Dean again. The feelings sheād been hiding for him for so long were bubbling closer to the surface. There was a chance this might be his last Christmas, and that thought sent a sharp pang through her chest. What if she never told him? What if he never knew how much he meant to her?
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening. Dean walked in, his arms full of takeout bags and a couple of poorly wrapped presents.
āWell, look at this,ā he said, his voice bright with surprise. āYou two went all out. Kinda makes this crap motel room lookā¦ festive.ā
Y/N grinned, feeling a small wave of relief wash over her. At least Dean seemed to appreciate the effort.
āGot you some food,ā he said, setting the bags on the table. āAnd a couple of things to open, you know, for the hell of it.ā
Y/N and Sam exchanged a look, their silent agreement to make this night something good for Dean. Y/N grabbed her own gifts from her bagāa couple of books for Sam (ones she knew heād devour in no time) and a shirt for Dean with a classic Chevy logo on it.
āHere,ā she said, handing them over with a smile.
Sam gave her a grateful nod, flipping through the pages of one of the books before setting it aside. Dean, on the other hand, held up the shirt, a wide grin spreading across his face.
āChevy, huh? You know me too well, sweetheart.ā
Her heart skipped at the nickname, but she covered it with a laugh. āFigured you could use a shirt to work on baby, so you don't get all your good shirt dirty with oil.ā
Sam handed her a small, neatly wrapped gift, and she opened it to find a bottle of shampooāher favorite kind, the one she was always complaining about never finding on the road.
āIā¦ I know itās not much,ā Sam said, scratching the back of his neck. āBut I saw it and thought of you.ā
Y/N smiled warmly. āItās perfect, Sam. Thank you.ā
Then Dean handed her his giftāa bottle of cheap perfume, the kind youād find at a gas station. But when she opened it and took a whiff, it wasnāt bad at all. In fact, it smelled pretty nice.
āI know itās nothing fancy,ā Dean said, a little sheepish. āBut it smelled good, and I thoughtā¦ā
Y/N couldnāt help but keep sniffing the bottle, a grin on her face. āDean, I love it. Really, itāsā¦ nice.ā
Sam noticed the atmosphere in the room chance when Y/N kept looking at his brother while smelling her perfume covered wrist.
The second Sam closed the bathroom door Dean shifted in his seat, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "I really love it Dean, thank you." Y/N said. āYeah, wellā¦ I had another gift in mind. This one was just easier to wrap.ā
Y/N looked up, confused. āWhat do you mean?ā
Dean hesitated for just a moment, then took a step closer. His green eyes met hers, and for the first time, she saw a flicker of something in themāsomething vulnerable, something he usually hid behind jokes and bravado.
Before she could process what was happening, Dean leaned in, his lips brushing softly against hers. Her breath hitched, and for a second, everything elseāthe looming deal, the darkness of their livesāfaded away.
All that mattered was this moment.
Him.
When he finally pulled back, Dean looked a little unsure of himself, but there was a small, crooked smile on his lips.
āMerry Christmas, sweetheart,ā he whispered.

I know some people are upset about this, but
Adar had a complete and narratively satisfactory character arc and here's why.
(I'm saying "narratively satisfactory" because it satisfies his purpose in the narrative even if we think he deserved better.)
The two main problems I had with Adar's arc throughout most of S2 were as follows: his decisions to release Halbrand and then rabidly charge into Eregion after Sauron make no sense, and his character was inconsistent with what was established in S1. I complained about both of these things at length with people who were willing to listen, and some people who just smiled and nodded. But certain things in ep 6 made me start to rethink, one line in episode 7 really stood out, and the events of ep 8 put everything into perspective. So let's explore.
In 6, we have the scene of Adar and Galadriel speaking about Sauron. The major theme here is that he worms his way inside people's minds, insidiously exerting his will over them. Both characters at this point acknowledge this as fact. And in light of this revelation, Adar's "decision" to free Halbrand starts to make a little more sense. All it took was that one interaction for Sauron to get back inside Adar's mind and start influencing him again. There's no reason for Adar to do any of what he does in S2 unless he's under Sauron's control. Galadriel even says it herself: this is what Sauron wants. But Adar's mind and judgment are too clouded to see.
In 7, there's one critical line. "You think it was only you who put yourself in my power?" It's Annatar speaking to Celebrimbor, but he might as well be speaking to anybody here. It's pretty telling that this line shows up in most of the character-specific teasers, including Adar's.
Which brings us to 8, where everything comes together. Adar has Nenya, which has been shown to have healing powers, and a lot of people theorized that this might lead to him reverting back to an elven form. Which is exactly what happened. But the ring didn't only heal him physically.
Previously, we've seen Galadriel gain clarity of mind through Nenya: she better understands Sauron's ploy, and her part in it, and how she fell right into his trap. The exact same thing happens with Adar. When we first see him, crouching next to a rock, hiding his face, he's not just hiding his elven transformation. He looks like he's genuinely crushed. Not by seeing himself as an elf, but from the sudden ring-given clarity and the realization that he's been used by Sauron all along. His motivation and personality do a complete 180 here, and this isn't a plot hole or a contrivance. It's meant to show that the ring healed his mind as well as his body, shaking off Sauron's influence, and he's suddenly, for the first time all season, back to where he was at the end of S1. He's himself again. The searing desire to kill Sauron is gone, and he just wants to return to Mordor and build a home for his children.
He may have taken the ring because he thought it would help him kill Sauron, but in the end, it just helps him come to his senses.
Unfortunately for him, his actions can't be undone, and by sending the uruk to war, he's put them, as Annatar says 'under my control'. The minute Annatar asks Glƻg what his name is, and Glƻg falters in killing him, it's over. Sauron has control of the uruk again. He's wormed his way in. How do we know this for sure?
Adar's children wouldn't have set up that elaborate ruse to assassinate him. If this were all their doing, they would have just stabbed him and been done with it. The foreshadowing all season hints that Glƻg may disagree with Adar's orders, but probably would never have done anything about it without a strong push from Sauron. The scheme was all Sauron and Sauron's control. Sauron orchestrates Adar's death in the exact same way Adar killed Sauron in ep 1, specifically out of spite. Sauron even appears to watch Adar's final moments: he wants Adar to know.
Is it a shitty way to die? Yes.
Is it a shitty plot twist undeserved out of nowhere? No, because the entire season has been setting us up for this moment. Hell, even some pieces in S1 have been setting us up for this moment. Halbrand could have killed Adar way back when, but at some point must have decided that Adar was more useful alive for a while longer, and a more elaborate form of revenge was in order. Sauron gains control of Adar and uses him as a puppet warlord against the elves while at the same time setting Adar up for the ultimate betrayal at the hands of his own children once he's no longer useful.
I actually love this. It's a horrible way to go, and I'm sad to see the end of this character, but it's a complete arc for him and makes sense within the narrative. It doesn't feel cheap or undeserved or at all surprising to me. It's sad, but satisfying.
RIP Adar, you will be missed. But at least you died... uh... feeling betrayed by your own kind as a result of your own actions that you realized too late were orchestrated by the guy you hate most. And if that isn't top tier tragedy, I don't know what is.

ESCAPING INTO A SHIP
So what exactly made me latch onto the Sydcarmy ship like a leech on a water buffalo?
It was unexpected (for me)! Yes, the very first meeting between Syd and Carm did make an impact. I thought "Oooh, what's this?!" However, Carmy was/is such a mess that I quickly dismissed it. And Sydney just seemed to want his professional approval and a partner in making something great after the soul-crushing failure of Sheridan. So, the first season I personally didn't feel a mutual sexual/romantic tension, more like an automatic respect and shared goals/passions. Sydney nor Carm were obviously trying to flirt. Most slow burns on TV are 100% obvious like a Jeanine and Gregory (Abbott Elementary), Nick and Jess (New Girl), Jake and Amy (Brooklyn 99), Jim and Pam (The Office)...Until Braciole Ep. 8 that is.
S. 1 Episode 8- I won't get into everything but Carmy was desolate. Yes, he became a psycho chef and two people quit in Ep.7. However, he mourned Sydney more than Marcus. She was in his flashback/nightmare (?), then the way he told Tina that she looked like Syd (the poor pup), him texting her before opening the note from Mikey, and finally the most gorgeous locked gaze scene since Pride and Prejudice (2005). The soft lighting, the music, the colors, the mind-reading...magical. I still didn't get it initially. Silly, blind me.
Mentorship where??? Season 2 Carm and Syd's "mentorship" dynamic is pretty much over. They are true partners and spending more time together. They're dressing alike even when not in uniform, finishing each other's sentences or talking in unison. Sydney is opening up more of herself and Carm is asking to know more. They use the ASL sign for sorry with each other and no one else until ep 10. Then there's that locker scene in ep. 1 or 2, when they almost hang out just cause. However, Carmy misses the moment and there's the return of the kicked pup face. Before being on the ship I was delighted with all of their scenes and was looking forward to the food tour. They just ROCK together on screen.
Classic Love Triangle- Who's Claire? She's "Claire Bear", the prototypical "cool girl", who is willing to chase an socially awkward, wrong-number-giving man, despite being a pretty ER resident with no shortage of options. Did a CW writer get hired? Anyways, why was her presence used almost exclusively to put strain on Carmy and Sydney's relationship instead of The Bear generally? We could have had scenes with Nat, Richie, and Marcus arguing with Carmy about him being distracted due to Claire. They saved 99% of that for Sydney. They CHOSE to insert her in between or just after scenes with him and Claire. Showing Sydney's tattoos and her getting dressed with the stained chef's coat juxtaposed with them was WILD.
I LOVE that both believe their interpersonal problems are solely about The Bear/business partnership. In most "slowburns" the characters are far more conscious and actively work to keep things platonic. Jeremy might be a smidge aware that Sydney means more to him after the panic attack, but I bet he's shoved it down. All he knows afterward is that being with Claire feels wrong hence ignoring her call and recommitting to SYDNEY. He could of said "You all/This/The Bear deserve my full focus etc..." He was also nagged into greeting Claire at Friends and Family, seemed anxious when Fak brought her up right before The Table scene, and also while explaining that "she's great" to Sydney. He was at peace when focused on Sydney in the moment below.
The actors: Jeremy and Ayo's real life friendship is warms my soul and their chemistry onscreen is amazing. DON'T WASTE IT!!!
Jeremy smolders on screen. I want to see Carmy continue to stare, yearn, fall, then eventually confess and for Sydney to reciprocate his feelings. Anyhoo, does anyone else melt when Carm means business?! They do this twice in season one and it's not good for me. Whew, I need to clean my whole house or run a few miles.
Finally, there's so many other parallels between these two. They are fearful avoidants, have a missing or dead parent, jacked up stomachs, use sarcasm, but are generally very earnest, they struggle with anxiety, are compassionate, are perfectionists, peace-makers, give people multiple chances, are workaholics...so much more. A lot of that is also ME, lol.
Sydcarmy is my Roman Empire. I love them as much as you can fictional characters and they deserve the most tender, angsty, triumphant, romantic best-friends to more love story.

The moment Mulder quits
A point in which Mulder was ready to quit the minute he saw Scully hold a baby in season 7 and its effects in season 8
*this is my headcanon, its not gospel obviously Firstly, two scenes that are very linked in my head
Season 7 Ep 22 Requiem and Season 8 Ep 16 Three Words
Look at that face. That dead serious, at all costs face.
Season 7
Requiem. The culmination of Scully and Mulder's secret yearish? long quest for a baby. They've tried for a baby with IVF already. Mulder has promised her he wont give up on a miracle for her and they're well... trying basically, throughout season 7. Perhaps I would call it "hoping" for a baby. Maybe Mulder is hoping and Scully is characteristically ambivalent? Fully not using any contraceptives and I know there's a fic in there somewhere, anyway
The first scene above is why Ive never watched past the season 8 finale. nothing past them agreeing to be a family makes any sense because of Mulders face here. People knock Duchovny for not showing out when acting, but I will always be a defender of subtle acting. The way he can say an entire monologue of dialogue with the minute expressions on his face is quite breathtaking here.
Hes goes from sorrow at Scully not being able to have a baby, sorrow at her loss, sorrow at not being able to give her that; to regret at what he thinks is all his fault, at dragging her into this life; to pure love and affection for her seeing this baby in her lap and how good she is with him; and then a smile peaks out. A smile of hope that could compete with the Mona Lisa. Hope for their future and the certainty with which he knows what he wants so clearly, maybe for the first time in his life. His own family.
Like for the first time hes really deciding the cost is too much and he chooses her over the mission. He chooses their future over everything. And he's hopeful and perhaps even happy about it. which for someone with his amount of family trauma is a seismic shift. For so long he's chased the past in hope of fixing it, completely discombobulated and reckless in his search for well, his family.
Though, from the beginning of that moment in the rainy graveyard, he has slowly unconsciously coming to regard Scully as his family. In small gestures, a hand on her cheek or voicing out loud how important she is to him; to big gestures, giving up who he believes is his actual sister to save her.
We are lucky here, to be able to witness the moment the sparks of unconscious thought bloom into the flame of certainty. He follows up as well. Tells her she has to stay, that the cost doesn't outweigh the price anymore. Sure he wants to finish out this case, but he doesn't work without her, thats been established. Him telling her to stop, is his resignation as well. (There's a fit there too, with Skinner and him on the plane probably Skinner already knowing he's done.)
Thomas Flight praises subtly in acting better than I could ever articulate here:
youtube
Season 8
Mulder was weird and the PTSD was implied, but I choose to see it everywhere. After the moment in three words where Mulder tries to let them go gently because he thinks he's too damaged to be a father (Thanks @randomfoggytiger for the meta on that) (there's a fic here obviously where Scully gives him the space to be broken and also hers) After this though, he's not the Mulder as we've seen, ever. He's not the Mulder who
cares about exposing the government so he can say I told you so
cares about saving the public from the invasion
cares about finding the ultimate truth that has driven him since he found the X files
cares about solving cases and one upping the FBI, trying to force them to admit the truth out loud.
Mulder is fighting the entire season for his family.
he cares about exposing the conspiracy so everyone including his child will be safe.
he cares about saving the earth for his child's future
he cares about his childs and his families safety
he has zero concern about the FBI and what they do anymore.
In the second scene above, he's about had it with the entire conspiracy and he's downright pissed. He wants it all to end he doesn't care how. He wants to protect his child above everything. Sure he's usually reckless but this isn't for him and his self involved cause anymore, it's for his family, his wellbeing be damned at some points along the way. He states his thesis in three words while breaking into FBI files in an astonishing show of recklessness
"Look, Scully, I need to make sense of what happened to me. So that I can stop it. Because if I can't stop it, it could happen to anyone. It could happen to you. And who's to say it's going to stop there?"
I always wondered why he was putting Scully through all that, without realising this was the reason. Poor guy. There's nothing else in his purview anymore besides that baby who's in danger, and his family, so much so, when he is ultimately fired from the FBI, he's positively giddy at his newfound freedom.
If he had then gone down a path temporarily where he murdered his way through the remnants of the syndicate to assure the safety of his family John Wick style, I would've absolutely believed it.
It would've been insanely intriguing look at an evolving dynamic between Scully and Mulder. Scully law abiding Mulder reckless as always but with a different motivation. Becoming what he's always feared, to protect the family he has never had. A family he feels like he's only grasping at, as they're slipping through his fingers due to the danger and his recent and past traumas.
There's a reason a lot of the fandom sees Mulder as a happy stay at home dad post wherever they decide to end watching. Thats what he's been searching for his entire life. A happy family with loving parents. When he let go of that dream for himself in Closure, he found he could want that for his future family whatever that looked like (adoption, a miracle, etc.) in Requiem. And I personally don't believe he ever would let that dream go once he realised, I mean we all saw the devotion he had to his sister right?
In other words these are my reasons season 9 onwards make zero sense and I regard them as AU

Thoughts on the finale
I liked this season much more than the first one (which I love, btw).
Some things felt a bit rushed but I know that's because a show like The rings of power needs more than 8 eps to tell its stories but that's how what the entrainment system does now. They did very good with the time they had.
I cried, I laughed, I screamed...
Duran and Disa need to rest. It has not been an easy season for them! But I'm excited to see what will happen next season. And Durin and Elrond need to meet again and talk.
Celebrimbor and Sauron's scenes were the highlights of the season and I'm so sad Charles is leaving. Also give this man a couple of awards. He deserves it
We didn't see much of Numenors's and Elendil/Isildur's in the finale but what we saw was good. Elendil like Aragorn. We're going to Meet Anarion next season. Isildur is coming home. And poor EƤrien she was just trying to easy her pain and save her father.
Elrond is me, I'm Elrond. This broke me.
Watching the destruction of Eregion was painful but expected.
Adar, my beloved. You will be missed... I can't express how much.
I love them. This is everything I wanted for them... And they delivered. I will be talking about this for years...
Gandalf!!! Brief note. Gandalf and Nori's relationship is so sweet and tender.
Galadriel got engaged, again.
Arondir joined the big girls club now and I'm so here for this! You don't understand how much I love him, and how much I crave for a friendship between him and Galadriel. Also loved the moment where Gil-galad was there trying to formulate a plan and he was like 'Cool, cool, but Commander, what do YOU think we should do?'

This Week in BL - I'm Late, I know
Organized, in each category, with ones I'm enjoying most at the top.
Feb 2024 Wk 2
Ongoing Series - Thai
The Sign (Sat YT) ep 12fin - we waiting 2 weeks I guess? Bah.
Pit Babe (Fri iQIYI) ep 13fin - I wasn't impressed by the last ep at all. Trash watch happened here.
My final thoughts:
Based on alittlebixth's omegaverse novel #ąøąø“ąø©ą¹ąøą¹ąøā set in the world of car racing omegaverse. Thailand brought us the world's first omegaverse BL but then failed to lean into the courage of its a/b/o convictions by not emphasizing the difference between our world & theirs, adding & subtracting characters & allegiances + a weak ending. With earnest performances, enthusiastic sex scenes, a fantastic side couple, and some delightful scenery chewing - the actors triedā¦ poor things. It's just the story failed both them and their parent genre. Frankly? I just wanted it to be more outrageous and trashy, since I never expected it to be good. Instead, it was justā¦ meh. 7/10
(Imma remind all the newbies that this is not unprecedented from me with hugely popular BL.)
Cooking Crush (Sun YT) ep 10 of 12 - I like it but thereās a high % of this show that doesnāt interest me. Anything to do with the side couple, or the friend group, or the cooking competition drives me into a comatose state of UGH. That means that in this episode, I paid attention to about 5 minutes worth.Ā
For Him (Thurs iQIYI) ep 11 of 12 - I'm ready for this to be done. I think they were trying to be this year's Big Dragon, but they just aren't good enough. I really didnāt need a third couple.
City of Stars (Fri iQIYI) ep 2 of 12 - I'm warming up to FueangKrom a bit. Itās cute. I am finding the pacing interesting. That pacing might be bad, but right now itās simply different.Ā
Ongoing Series - Not Thai
Love For Love's Sake (Korea Weds iQIYI) 5-6 of 8 - I still love this show a lot, but this 2 ep installment felt a little disjointed. Iām not sure if thatās the narrative structure or the subs. The captions are shockingly bad for a KBL and I donāt have enough Korean to make up for their clear failings.Ā
Although I Love You and You AKA Sukiyanen Kedo Do Yaro ka (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 5 of 10 - Oh the return of the manic pixie dream ex. This is all very high school drama for purportedly grown-up adults. But them both being jealous and then kissing was sweet. Ā
AntiReset (Taiwan Fri Viki/Gaga) ep 3 of 10 - They remain adorable and the sunshine robot is very sweet. But it is a little slow.Ā
Perfect Propose (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 3 of 6 - I prefer the episodes when we get more of them onscreen together. But this was fine.Ā
Happy Ending (Korea Tues YT) 3fin - The ending disappointed me (are you surprised?). What can I say, not Strongberry's best as far as Iām concerned. High school besties that many could be sweethearts. I donāt like an ending thatās left up in the air. 6/10
It's Done but...
What Did You Eat Yesterday Season 2 AKA Kinou Nani Tabeta? Season 2 (Japan Gaga) 10 eps - will binge when I have any spare time. 2024 is crazy busy for me so far.
The Servant and the Young Master - from Vietnam, it's on YouTube. I will give it a try when I have a window of time.
Began Beginning (Myanmar YouTube) - A Burmese BL? @heretherebedork vouched for it, so I will give it a watch.
It's Airing But...
[NO INTERNATIONAL] Cherry Magic (Sat YouTube) ep 3 of 12 - yeah Japan put the smack down on our boys. Sadness. You can use a VPN if you like. Read all about it here.
Ossans Love Season 2 (Japan Gaga) - 5 years later, will anything have changed? This is Japan soā¦ probubly not. I won't be watching this. I disliked Season one and actively hated the follow ups. No thank you.
Playboyy (Thurs Gaga) 14 eps - Dear Playboyy, it's not you, itās meā¦ I hate you. Youāre about as deep (and as palatable) as a shot glass of cum. While I'm sure youāre someoneās kink, you're my weakest link. Goodbye. I DNFed this at ep 5. Frankly I'm impressed with myself for getting that far.
7 Days Before Valentine (Weds WeTV) 12 eps - Gave me Luminous Solution vibes. It finished, is it worth it?
Dead Friend Forever (Thai Sat iQIYI) 12 eps - finished, horror, supposed to be very philosophical, I think I'll give it a go.
Time the series (Tue Gaga/YT) 10 eps - dropped it at ep 4.
Next Week Looks Like This:
Starting Up
2/16 My Strawberry Film (Japan Gaga) - not quite sure how much BL this one is, because... Japan, but we shall see.
2/17 A Secretly Love (Thai WeTV) - Khonprot, a third-year head hazer of the engineering faculty, has a secret crush on Pluem, a tsundere fourth-year head hazer. Over the years, he's seen Pluem cycle through many girlfriends. Recently, after a public breakup, however, Khonprot thinks maybe a boy has a chance. Unless this is really good I probably won't I hate the WeTV interface...
Still Coming in Feb
2/24 Unknown (Taiwan Youku) 12 eps - Older brother tough guy criminal breadwinner looks after his sister and defacto adopted little brother. Little bother falls in love with him and is sent away after a stolen kiss. But when he comes backā¦
Upcoming BLs for 2024 are listed here. This list is not kept updated, so please leave a comment if you know something new or RP with additions.
THIS WEEKāS BEST MOMENTS
We gotta talk about LFLS this week. Look at Korea go!
Talking about a dead fish kiss, how meta! This will end up on one of my best of the year moments. I could not have been more gobsmacked.
Also something rarely directly addressed, particularly for same-sex firsts.
And then, a claiming trope, a personal favorite of mine.
Thank you Korea!
I just love them. (Pit Babe)

Are we, or are we not getting a Murder Drones Season 2?
So, the teaser for episode 8 states that the episode is the finale for the series. However, there have been quite a few different instances that would imply the existence or planned existence of a second season.
When the teaser for murder dronesā first season originally dropped, it teased āmurder drones season oneā, implying that there would be more than one season, and that this would be the first. If they had planned for there to only be one season, they would have/should have titled it something like āmurder drones: the seriesā or just āmurder dronesā as they have done more recently.
There have also been different instances of the team behind murder drones mentioning this being the first season, not the only season. The most important instance of this is when Liam Vickers mentioned that season one was for the show to find its footing for future seasons, which is now a seemingly false statement.
At some point in the show's development, I believe around the time ep. 5 or 6 released, the language around murder drones changed, not mentioning it as being the first season anymore, and just being murder drones.
This was also around the time or just before Glitch started to take on more shows, like The Amazing Digital Circus and Lackadaisy. They started to imply that murder drones would only have one season around this time.
Now, most of my thoughts are just speculation, but I think that after the success of TADC and Glitch taking on a few other shows, they had stretched themselves too thin, and something had to give.Ā
I'm not saying all the other shows that Glitch is making ended Murder Drones. This could have been the plan from the start, and they were using the wrong wording early on and gave us all false hope. But, I think that there is the possibility that Glitch had to let murder drones end earlier than everyone would have liked.
Again, this is all speculation, could be totally false, and probably is. Don't harass any creators associated with Glitch, Glitch themselves, or any voice actors that work for them.
But, I do think that there is a small, very small, chance that we could still be getting a season two after all, especially if we end on a cliffhanger or downer ending. When Meta runner season 2 ended, i believe it was called a series finale at the time, but it got a third season two years later! It's very, very, unlikely, but we could keep our hope up for about a year or two before I say it could be gone for certain. This could also be a temporary shelving of the series while they work on the other shows, as some other people have pointed out. I could return in a few years with an anthology series or something. (I swear it's not the copium talking)
Again, don't harass Glitch or any of their associates. We definitely won't get a season two if we're asses about it. Besides, like Michael Kovach said in a recent livestream (I think?), N at the very least is probably gonna pop up again with how popular he is, so our boy won't be gone forever, and I think Uzi and V wonāt be too far behind him.

i remembered your posts about "one difference" fics and i was rewatching jackie and hyde scene on youtube and this just came to me: how would you have written them getting back together s7 eps 16/17 (it still annoys me the way they got back together)
Thank you both! š
(The pic of the second ask was sent a few months after the first.)
Of note is the fact Jackie and Hyde didn't reconcile in 7x17 in the original version of season 7. That reconciliation was added once season 8 was greenlit to give fans a few more J/H episodes before the rewritten S7 finale -- originally the series finale, where Hyde and Jackie get engaged -- that leaves the state of Jackie and Hyde's relationship as the cliffhanger (which was intended to be resolved far differently in S8, but the choice of replacement showrunners destroyed it and the end of the show).
My version of the reconciliation episode wouldn't allow for that finale cliffhanger. The following ficlet is one idea I have.
One Difference: Jackie and Hyde Reconcile In-Character
Jackie and Hyde sat in the basement together, him in his chair and her on the sofa. Kelso wanted to show Fez a new trick he learned from Betsy, but they had to go to the Formans' backyard for it.
"But Betsy is an infant," Fez said as they exited through the basement back door."
"Exactly," Kelso said like Fez didn't understand logic. They were gone.
Jackie (to Hyde): You're still here.
Hyde: Yup. That a problem?
Jackie: I'm just surprised. I've gotten used to you leaving me.
Hyde: Let's just watch TV.
Jackie: Sure ... maybe the Price Is Right is on.
Hyde bristled at the mention but kept his attention on the TV. His shades made watching the black-and white images tough, but what he heard was more aggravating.
Jackie: Why did you leave me so abruptly at the public access studio? You were really nice and supportive. I didn't expect that either --
Hyde: I said what I came to say. It was your time. Didn't want to take it.
Jackie placed her hand on her heart. "I was going on about how happy I was about being independent. You know how hard that's been for me, getting that confidence. But you went there to say something else, didn't you?"
Hyde was silent
"Didn't you?" Jackie repeated, but Hyde stayed silent. "Say it to me now."
Hyde shifted his weight in his chair. He might've been more open last week, but that time had past.
"This is our first date all over again." Jackie shook her head and focused on the TV.
"What're you talkin' about?"
"I told you I didn't feel anything after our kiss, and you lied and said you didn't either. You're still lying to me."
"And you're lyin' to me. About what you wanted to tell me at Grooves."
"How do you -- I mean, I did not ... damn." Jackie glanced down at her lap. "What's the point in telling you the truth? That's what you thought on our first date, isn't it? I didn't have feelings for you, so you had no reason to tell me you did have feelings for me."
Hyde exhaled a heavy breath. "Look, I wasn't gonna hijack your victory last week. You've been afraid of not bein' able to support yourself, not bein' a success -- all that crap -- and I get it 'cause I've had the same crap in my skull. What I wanted changed that day."
"Changed ... " Jackie stood and approached him. Her legs were inches from his knees.
Hyde pressed his back hard against the chair; her gaze burned through him. "Not in general, man. Just that day. I wanted you to feel good about yourself. Not us. You."
"Us?" Jackie said softly "Us?" she said louder. "What do you mean us?"
She was shouting now. Hyde winced at the volume but said, "I got intel you'll be pissed about me knowin'. I pushed for it 'cause I ... needed a guarantee before I -- would you back up a little?"
"No." She crossed her arms over her chest and, after a second, gasped. "Oh, my God, Fez blabbed! He told you I -- " She pressed her lips into a thin line. "Nope. I'm not gonna say it to you."
Hyde shrugged. "Then that's it, I guess."
"That's not it. You owe me."
"How do you figure?"
"You have a remarkably good memory. Use it."
Hyde clenched his jaw, but he went over major events in his and Jackie's relationship. The first time she said she loved him and didn't care if he said it back. She'd just needed him to know. The first and only time he said he loved her, not for her sake but because he was scared of losing her.
He'd never stopped being scared. That was his freaking problem. He couldn't commit to her beyond the moment since the moment was all that counted. He learned that truth from his mom and Bud's marriage -- but it was their truth. It didn't have to be his and Jackie's.
He removed his shades. "I love you. That's it."
"Okay, now I'm confused," Jackie said. "That's it what?"
"That's the only guarantee I can give: I love you."
She knotted her fingers together. "For ... for how long?"
"It's a guarantee, not a warranty. It doesn't run out."
"But you ran out on me after promising to go to the LoPPs party."
Hyde stood from his chair, and Jackie stepped back. "I ran away, man. All right? I ran away 'cause I saw us together in the future, and the only futures I know are divorce, prison, and death. That's what 'before life goes to crap' meant." He risked clasping her shoulder; she didn't flinch from his touch. "Nothin' to do with you. All me."
"But our future can be whatever we make it, Steven." She was pleading with him, and his chest ached. "I'm sorry."
"Huh?" His eyes had narrowed. She had to clarify before he filled in the gaps himself.
"Our. Us. We both forgot those words until today. I shouldn't have made you promise to go to another event you'd obviously hate."
She had to mean the LoPPs Christmas party. He held up his hand. "Hold on a sec. You didn't make me promise. I promised, and I broke it."
"You did what Michael used to to, say something to appease me because I was too controlling then go behind my back to get a sense of freedom. But you just played with toys, not another woman's -- toys."
He used ever but of willpower not to stroke her sad face. "Doesn't excuse that I was a dillhole. I hate bein' disrespected, but I disrespected you, man. You didn't deserve that. I could've sucked it up, but my head wasn't there. It was up my ass."
Jackie laughed a little. "And my head was up the LoPPs' asses. They're like a group filled with clones of my mom. 'Being single is a sign you're not good enough to get a man.' 'Marriage is the key to happiness, so get married as soon as possible.'"
"Those direct quotes?"
"Close enough." She grasped his hand. He left his fingers loose. "None of my time with you has felt like a waste. I'm just scared of how much I have to lose. I'd rather lose it now then let down my guard and lose it when I think I'm safe."
She was speaking his language, as she so often did. He tightened his grip on her hand. "You're safe. Actually safe. ... Am I?"
"Oh, God, Steven, yes!" She cradled his cheeks between her palms and kissed him. His lips tingled, and his insides grew warm after a frigid internal winter. He'd missed this sensation, missed her, for too long, but he withdrew from her mouth. "What?" she said. "What is it?"
"I'm not proposing any time soon. You've got to be cool with that if this, if we're gonna work."
"I don't need a proposal. I just need you."
He allowed himself the barest of smiles before kissing her back, this time full of the fiery adoration he felt for her. Her breaths sped from her nose, but she held onto his waist and matched his intensity.
They ended up on the basement's sofa, lost in each other, but a startling image reached his consciousness: him in a jewelry shop, buying an engagement ring. Jackie hadn't graduated high school yet. He was only nineteen, but just like they weren't Bud and Edna, they weren't Forman and Donna. They could get engaged and stay engaged for years. Marriage could wait until they were truly ready
In this moment, though, he and Jackie were reconnecting in every way. That was more than good enough for now. It destroyed his fear. He and Jackie were solid, and he trusted they'd do whatever was necessary to keep it that way.

Notes of my final Murder Drones rewatch before ep 8
(These thoughts are uncollected and unrevised, proceed with lowered expectations)
Originally, I was about to make a three-part long post before episode eight comes out.
In the first part I would have analysed Cyn's character and showcased her possible depth and ties to N's character arc.
Then in the second part I compared the Doll, Cyn and J trio to Uzi, N and V, showing the parallels between each member of their respective squad, which would then lead to the final part.
Part 3 is my defacto theory on how certain elements of episode 8 would have played out, with J as a main focus in it, due to her being the V parallel, but then, as the day passed, I realised something:
I'm an analyst, not a theorist, and while it could be fun to make a theory on episode 8 to see how right and wrong I was in retrospect, it's not an activity that I'm particularly fond of, plus, while my opinions on Cyn have changed with time (I'm going to get there), the reason why I kind of like her now completely hinges upon head canons that hopefully are going to be confirmed, because otherwise, my opinion on the character could get even worse than what it once was.
One of the main reasons as to why I wanted to realise this project was to see if I could get invested into Cyn in the same way I got more invested into Rebecca with the analysis I've made on her, but why bother doing that when I'm sure episode 8 is (hopefully) going to fill me in on her character?
I'm not finding the time nor willpower that I wished that I had to complete any projects lately, and due to my constant need for perfectionism (need that it's being deliberately ignored in the writing of this post), I just keep shooting myself in the feet.
Anyway, let's just skip the intro and directly segway to the important stuff:
Uzi:
Uzi is a complicated character for me. She was my favourite character in the Pilot and dropped down massively after that, and I never understood why: I came up with a bunch of explanations for myself, such as "her development isn't engaging" and "she doesn't get challenged in interesting ways that isn't just plain torture" and "she's the most enigmatic character in the show, her actions don't make any sense to me", and I was particularly sure of that last one, not in the sense that Uzi was evil all along, but in the sense that Uzi was being written as a twist villain in the same way Goultard from Wakfu had been coded as such before the third season of that series revealed us why;
But this last rewatch finally made me understand what my problem with her was.
Aside from the rushed development, which is something the entire series struggles with, I've realised that there's an extremely subtle layer of complexity to pilot Uzi that her show's self lacks: see, despite Uzi acting like a gremlin at various points in the pilot, one thing that really surprised me about how Uzi was initially characterised is that, aside from her moments of emotional impulsivity, Uzi... is actually relatively chill?
The best way I could describe it is that serie's Uzi to me is a child to take care of; I would act nice, kind, patient to ep 1 through 7 Uzi just to get on her good side so that she wouldn't bother me as much as she bothers her peers, hopefully helping her grow up as an individual and stop acting so horribly, and help her find someone else who appreciates her for who she is, so that I wouldn't have to deal with her any longer, while pilot Uzi is someone I would genuinely like to spend time with as she's secretly a pretty chill gal, even if I would still be afraid of her, just like the rest of her classmates.
The pilot makes it extremely clear that Uzi's angsty teen persona is just that: a facade. It's not the real her. This added a layer of intrigue to Uzi in the pilot, where it felt like there was so much more to her than what we were shown at first;
But nope. The rest of the show comes out and Uzi is just that: a wild, emotionally unstable teenage gremlin-girl, who isn't even at the centre of the story despite all of the screen time that she has.
I always thought that Liam didn't want me to sympathise with Uzi, as I thought his modus operandi was "Make the character interesting, don't make them sympathetic" but as the show went along and it fell down even further into a classical good versus evil plotline (something that requires is own post), it kind of became harder to shrug off how genuinely unlikable she is to me. I like N a lot, and I kinda like V whenever her fans are nowhere to be seen, but I don't really sympathise with either of them, I just find them to be engaging.
I like the Murder Drones cast because they are interesting characters, not because they are good people. Yet, from the way Uzi is written, it feels like I'm supposed to consider her the hero, when in reality, she feels more like an unwilling plumber forced to take out the clog (Absolute Solver) unwillingly.
(Also Doll is a much better foil to Pilot Uzi than she is to canon show Uzi, but that's a discussion for another time)
But that's enough of that. Let's talk about the episodes:
Episode 1 through 3:
I plan to do an in-depth ranking of all 8 episodes of Murder Drones once the ending comes out, so consider these my rapid fire opinions on each and every single one of them.
The pilot is the best aged episode of Murder Drones to me even if a lot of its elements have been decanonised, and it could as well end up becoming my favourite episode of the show when it's all said and done.
Episode 2 is as weak as ever, but one thing that always bothered me about this episode is the ending where Uzi just decides to go back into the colony with Khan.
Now, it's no secret that Murder Drone's everything is extremely rushed, but for most of its runtime, this episode gave me the impression that Murder Drones was going to be a slow burn, long running mystery series, only for the ending to come along and leave me dumbfounded by what the pacing of the show was going to turn into.
Heartbeat is also the only episode where my opinion hasn't changed since first watching it. I thought it was mid at first, and I still consider it to be so.
My thoughts on it are a little bit more complicated than that, but I'm reserving them for the future.
You can slice it however you want, but episode 3 has aged HORRIBLY, it's not even in my top 5 best episodes anymore, and yes, it's exactly because of the focus character of this episode turning out the way she did in episode 7.
Say whatever you want, but to me, the third episode is not an Uzi episode, it's not an N episode, it's barely a V and Lizzy episode and partially a Nuzi episode, and it's certainly not a Khan episode.
For the most part, The Promening is a Doll episode; she's the character the episode is wasting most of its runtime on, introducing her, her parents, making her a mysterious threat; in comparison, the Nuzi and V stuff is mostly secondary, and could have definitely been developed further if the episode didn't have someone else as it's main focus.
Doll:
I never wanted Doll to survive the season; I never wanted her to live, I never wanted her to die, I never wanted her to be redeemed, nor did I want her to stay evil till the end; all I ever wanted, was for Doll to be well-written, and as it stands, I don't think Doll does enough or is explored sufficiently as a character to justify her relevance or existence, especially since a lot of other characters could benefit from some extra screen time, and while a lot of people might think that just bringing her back to life would fix some of her problems, I don't think they really understand all of the underlying issues that come with such a choice:
If Doll were ever to come back, she for sure would get a redemption arc, because what else is there to do? She lost all of her screen presence, she's no longer even remotely threatening, her story is so divorced from our current one to be straight up disposable, a lot of people see her as just a joke after the seventh episode, and in general, she's no longer a credible villain to see on screen.
And yet, I don't think a redemption arc would work for Doll at this point. Her character wasn't built up enough aside from being mysterious for the sake of it, I don't think a redemption arc would work, because it would require too much time for it to work, and time is the one thing Murder Drones always lacked, what makes you think a second season, let alone one episode would even fix?
I'm pretty pessimistic about episode 8, unless it's all one giant ruse and there is, in fact, a second season. The math just doesn't add up, episode 8 can't possibly be a satisfying conclusion or an unsatisfying conclusion done right, I fear it will be one giant clusterf##k.
Cabin Fever, Intermission, and Home:
Episode 4 is about as good as I remember it to be, and aside from noticing a couple of new details useful for my analyses, I don't have much to say about it.
I got the chance to watch @ghoulinfuschia 's Murder Drones Intermission together with the other episodes this time around, so now I finally have the chance to praise it a little bit.
Murder Drones Intermission is a fan made episode of Murder Drones set between episode four and five, made entirely by a crew of fans.
It's an amazing product for what it's worth and by how it was made, and while it's not perfect and I consider it far from possibly being canon, it does fill in nicely into the show's timeline, and improves a lot on some of the weakest story beats of the series. It was definitely a nice break from me while rewatching all of the episodes, and I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to check it out.
It's pretty ironic how episode 7 retroactively managed to worsen episode 3 and improve episode 5, but that's genuinely how I feel about Home now:
I'm about to be real with you, Tessa being dead all along was the only tid bit of major character's death that wasn't wasted, as now that I know why Tessa's wasn't the episode's protagonist, I'm much more accepting of the way in which episode 5 played out; it's clear that Liam never wanted us to get attached to Tessa beyond any simple "she's a nice, abused, teenage girl that treats N nicely" type of feeling, also the tradeoff for her death and humanity apparent extinction was well worth it in my opinion, which is something I can't say for V or... her.
But now it's finally time to talk about the actual main character of this episode:
Cyn:
I'm about to say something that I've never thought I would end up saying for real:
Did you know, that Cyn, is an actually interesting character in her own right?
I never did.
Quite frankly, I kind of heavily hated Cyn up until some time ago.
To me, at the start, Cyn was just a cool visual threat that would have hopefully been fleshed out in the future, but then, not only is she still remaining just a one note villain at this point of the show's runtime (aka the "finale"), but she also ended up killing a far more nuanced and slightly more fleshed out antagonist, while also not really doing anything to fulfill the compelling character void left by the aforementioned character.
Hot take: the fandom's portrayal of Cyn as this unbelievably silly creature of pure autism ruined her character, as well as the general discourse surrounding her.
To me, mass murderers should only be blorbified once their first major focus arc in a story has been concluded. It's why I'm fine with the blorbification of characters such as Qilby and William Afton, and I'm not with Cyn.
The thing about blorbifying is that, you are actively distorting canon for your weird fantasies, which is something that I'm fine with, but only once said characters have received their narrative catharsis.
I don't really view Cyn as a serious or heinous threat at this point in time, and that's all due to how much the fanbase ended up babyfying her to no end, giving her the Jax treatment with the main difference being that Jax has had is funny blorbo illusion already shattered, while Cyn still has it at this point in the show's runtime where she should be at her most evil and intimidating yet.
But that's enough of that; as I've already stated, now that we know that adult Tessa was Cyn all along... Cyn has just become such an interesting character to me, not for the mystery and creepiness surrounding her, but for the ways in which she could end up paralleling N.
... If that's actually what's going to happen.
It all hinges upon Cyn actually being worth the hype and the rushed developments, because otherwise, she could go from being my third favourite character to my absolute least favourite.
Episode 6 and 7:
I appreciate the Jurassic Park section of this episode for being a break from everything going on and for setting up the plot twist in the following episode.
Although her section bores me a little bit, I'm just gonna come out and say it: Alice is in my opinion the best humanoid antagonist in the entirety of Murder Drones, and unless that changes in episode 8 (which I doubt, sorry Cyn but I don't have a lot of faith in you), I'll make an entire post dedicated to her detailing why that's the case.
As for who or what I think is the overall best antagonist of the show...
It's the Sentinels, and it's not even close.
I'm still as emotionless as ever when it comes to V's demise. I believe it was stupid, but there are more passionate V fans to talk about it.
And last but not least, I can finally agree with what everyone else has said: Mass Destruction is the best episode of Murder Drones, and for me, it's all due to how genuinely funny it is.
I've become pretty apathetic to Murder Drone's horror elements due to how excessively prevalent and misused they are throughout the course of the series, so now the comedy actually hits harder, and this episode is extremely funny and comedic, even Doll's death is now hilarious to me, even if for other reasons, and the pacing finally feels appropriate now that the show has completely given up being a mystery adventure and fully embraced the end of the world battle shenanigans.
The episode did feel too fast paced when I first saw it at release, but it was mostly because of how slow the previous episodes were, now after a while the pacing finally feels normal, even if the episode is just bombarding me with lore left and right.
Ah.
.

We're doomed.

Some moments in season 3 of Young Royals that stand out for me ep.3
The day went on, I came back from work, recorded and sent my audition video for singing competition so I'm ready for another rewatch of episode 3, season 3. Let's go!
My posts about previous episodes are here and here
Simon telling Linda what she needs to hear
I mean - this is another unspoken fact most of us could see in season 1 and 2- Simon protect his mom and Sara for no matter what cost. We saw it with the bill from school after he took some extra lessons, we hear it now straight up from Simon.
Satisfying.
2. Running?
That was somehow a surprise for me. Like... he runs? Princes do that?!?!?! Kidding. But I immediately compared it to August's way of handling things... So... Wille is actually trying to help himself...? Wille why don't you go talk to Boris?
3. Safety first
Simon wearing helmet while going with Rosh and ayub on scooters. Finally.
4. Simon crying
I couldn't breathe. My friends needed to remind me to breathe. The way Wille diminished the comments meaning and left Simon alone with all that was just heartbreaking.
5. School Inspectorate arrival
I mean it's about the music again. My friend was like "what is it with this music!?", and another one screamed "what? the school inspectors are here! What is it you don't understand!?". And it has such a Skam vibe. I feel like this season is the most Skamlike of them all. What do you think?
6. Wilmon kissing on the piano.
Iconic. Very classic. I'm glad we have something like this scene with a gay couple. And it's so cool that this gay couple happened to be Wilmon.
Also Simon's hand, pulling Wilhelm down with him. Ooh!
7. Poppe!
I was just happy I see him again <3 But also, it was so good to see him there for Felice. And them talk.
Also, I don't know what is it with those fathers, but I could find some of my father in Micke and Poppe this season and that really warmed my heart.
8. THOSE HANDS?!
I felt like I shouldn't look. AND NOONE WARNED ME! Like really...
Why so fvcking hot gay?
9. Valborg
The music, the fire. As my friend said: Swedes are freaking wizards.
10. This moment
The whole sequence. Bottom Wille. But this moment. It makes me feel like I'm gonna pass out bc of the amount of electricity in this scene. But this exact moment is my favourite.
11. Micke
Heart attack. this is what this series does really good. Makes you feel what the character feels. I thought I will jump out of my body.
12. Simon sharing photo from 1st May
Like, after all of this... He's there, it's already ok. Why sharing it and causing more attention... Siiimoooon.
Yikes...
I laughed hard though... It turned out so wrong xDDDD
13. The end of the episode
Well... I have already seen it in a trailer, but the way it came in the episode... What did you said about breathing? Oh, I forgot to continue one.
Tomorrow is the day. Oh, I'm so sad I can't be in Stockholm. But I believe in ancient spirits that walk on this earth and protect us all, so mine will go tomorrow to Stockholm to hug some people who saved me by creating Young Royals.
Goodnight, beautiful fandom!

md episode 8 predictions
(THIS IS JUST WHAT I THINK WILL MAYBE HAPPEN AND ISN'T PARTICULARLY BASED ON EVIDENCE.)
Will be called something along the lines of "Absolute Zero" (i already said that on twitter but shhhh)
We'll see a comeback from V in some form; if she is dead, she'll probably have tried to leave some impact in order to help the team in the long run
NUZI KISS!!!!!! I'll be honest, as much as I want a season 2, a nuzi kiss would be much more impactful if ep 8 closed off the series as a whole (in my opinion) since it'd be their first and only kiss ever... I dunno, it just feels more intimate that way, but that's just me.
We find out more about Nori, her past, and form some kind of relationship between her and Uzi
Expanding on the last bullet (and if a season 2 does come), khan's development as a good father could continue, and nori's development as a good mother could start and mainly continue throughout the second season.
Uzi goes kooky insane!!!!!! (inevitable tbh)
J does something!!!! as much as I love this show a lot of characters get wasted, J being one of them, and I want her to have some sort of impact on the series, especially if they do decide...
...that they're gonna kill J off. I'll be mad if this one happens, but I have a gut feeling.
N snaps. We've seen a small peak of him getting mad in episode 7, and it will be so satisfying if he fully snaps in episode 8.
J finds out the truth about her entire existence and is absolutely crushed by it. Think about it: J has based almost her entire being on serving a company and devotes a good chunk of her loyalty (at least) to one person, that being Tessa. You mean to tell me that the show that likes screwing around with its characters' emotions isn't going to eventually make a character like this find out that not only is the purpose she devoted herself to a lie, but the woman she sought validation from most has actually been dead for years with her skin being used as Satan's human cosplay?
Small easter eggs/parallels to the pilot. Some examples I thought of are: j being given a branded pen by another character as a gift, uzi healing another character's nanite acid injury (maybe n's), v making balloon animal shapes with sentinel parts, the railgun blows up and kills lizzy, or khan euthanizes uzi with a wrench.
Anywho, that's all the predictions I can think of right now. I'll probably come back to see if I was right.
Regarding season 2, though, whether or not I can anticipate one coming is largely going to depend on the ending of the finale. If the world frickin ends or something, then there's no way liam wouldn't be planning on ending the series there. If there's some sort of godforasken cliffhanger, though... that'd be a different story.

Thoughts and favorite moments from LMK season 5, eps 8-10 (finale):
Spoilers galore below:
"Control yourself" OMGOOODDD JUST HOW COLD AND CALMLY NEZHA SAID THAT WAS SO COOL!!
Somehow Nezha calling MK a child is so cute X3
Glad his dad isn't a full on bad guy, though I think he turned around a little fast. Granted we don't want to waste too much time on this.
The Pigsy huggg!ššš
And the mastermind is... a Serpentine! Seriously, my sisters and I made up whole (unserious) theories on the spot there about this guy either coming from or pre-dating Ninjago. My favorite is that the cave he was talking about was the one the Anacondrai were trapped in - he managed to escape to the Ninjago realm before Pythor cannibalized the whole tribe.š
"Wow, I'm very used to all of our enemies just being like, recycled your old enemies?" "Or like your ex-best friend." Hahaha
Hmm so this guy knew Wukong before, interesting...I just find it kind of funny that this guy (sorry I just couldn't catch his name) that his whole evil motivation is that he wants to just.. eff off.š
Macaque trying so hard to stop MK sacrificing himself, again I can't believe how far their relationship has come since his first appearance. š
"That power. Who gave that to you? Who'd you make a deal with?" "A deal..?" I'M FROTHING AT THE MOUTH, ARE WE ACTUALLY GOING TO GET MORE ABOUT MACAQUE'S POWERS IN THE FUTURE??
Mei trying to straight up bite the snake guy XD
Macaque looking back at Wukong for a moment and seeing how desperate he is to save the kid before breaking them out of their bonds againš«
What did he do to Serpentine guy though??? Seriously give us the Macaque lore already!!!
So usually I HATE the trope of the hero insisting that there's no other way to save the day except to sacrifice themselves and pushing away their friends' efforts to save them... but here I'm kind of on MK's side with this one. They didn't exactly have a lot of time to figure out another way to stop the world from literally breaking apart.
That whole MK and Wukong fight put me in mind of Clint and Natasha from Avengers End Game trying to stop each other from killing themselves, which unfortunately means it was a little comical on top of being emotional.
But let's talk about how Wukong loves MK so much that even though he's so scared of death, to the point of making himself immortal, he still decided to take his place instead.š
OMG WHAAAT MK ACTIVATED THE PAIN CIRCLET!?
Man... Wukong's guttural screams... cartoons rarely let characters show this much raw primal emotion, probably so as not to upset kids too much, so whenever you do see it you know things have gotten serious.
The fact that Macaque said Wukong's name instead of MK's tells me that he KNEW he would sacrifice himself in MK's placeš
Speaking of raw emotion, man... MK choking up with relief that his friends would be okay was just heart breaking.
So, not that I would've WANTED the "cycle" to renew itself or whatever, but... and this is most definitely just the religious side of me speaking here, I don't know that anyone else will agree with me... but I'm getting a little tired of shows letting the main characters decide the fate of the world based on what THEY want. Like, messages about standing up for your freedom, that's all well and good when it's in terms of rebelling against corruption and oppression, things that humans do to each other. But defying the very way your world is made, messing with the natural order of things because you personally don't like it... that's just arrogant and selfish. People in reality already think they can push the boundary of life and nature however they like; if some things weren't literally impossible, like coming back from the dead, humans would definitely do everything and anything they wanted and excuse themselves on the basis of wanting absolute freedom. That's why there ARE limits, and personally, I'm not a fan of seeing them being challenged as a good thing so often in almost every modern story ever. Wanting things your own way no matter what rules you break is a villain mindset (pretty much what the Serpentine guy's motivation was). I can kind of excuse MK here for the fact that the cycle wasn't supposed to start this early and what he's doing is just putting things back on the right track... whatever, guess I just wanted to get that off my chest, rant over.
Back to fluffy wholesome moments - Wukong crying and saying "I got you" to MK after catching him!!ššš
And more group hugsš„¹ This is probably like the third or fourth of this season??
Toy Story 3 moment of everyone holding hands and accepting their fate...
AND WE FINALLY GET THE SCENE FROM THE TRAILER...WUKONG AND MACAQUE ABOUT TO FORGIVE EACH OTHER UGGHH! FART YOU SERPENTINE DUDE FOR INTERRUPTING THEM!!
Yes I DID pay attention to which stone lights went to which characters... and that Mei's went to Red Son, and Pigsy's went to Chang'e, AND WUKONG'S WENT TO MACAQUE!!
Oh yeah nope, we just CAN'T end the season without giving MK something to worry and feel guilty about for next time!
Wukong tearing up saying "I don't want to lose you" MY HEARTš
YO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MACAQUE'S SHADOW POWER??? AND IT'S ON MK'S STAFF!!! MACAQUE SPECIAL MACAQUE SPECIAL MACAQUE SPECIAL OH PLEEEEASE!!!
Bro, this show... every season has been peak so far.

I finally got to writing down my thoughts/feelings/notes/reactions on S2E1 of HOTD. Under cut because spoilers.
Thie episode ā but really just this show ā had pacing issues, which was one of its biggest problems, very reminiscent of what entirely killed of the seeds of good or at least decent plot points in GoT S8. IDK what genius decided to cut the number of eps to 8 ā or why, given that this show is very popular ā but then they had this issue somewhat last season too. We are also starting to see how recklessly cutting characters comes back to bite you in the ass, at itās just the start here.
With the episode/season paced as it is, there was no time to spend on Jaceās diplomatic endeavors. Were they strictly necessary? No, I guess, but they could have beenā¦interesting? And helped him grow/develop/showcase to the audience as a character. Like, I actually want Jace to be a character this season, yk?
So given that, as much as I am sad that they cut my girl Sara Snow, I canāt be too mad about it because they just kindaā¦cut all of it for the most part.
The North intro was kinda funny tho. For a second I was so confused because I was like āis the KIT narrating this?ā Cregan is very Northy-North lol. Is that sword Ice? āYou, at least, have the mercy not to threaten me with your dragon.ā ā lol, Iām glad Cregan got this little snipe in at Jace for his Targ revisionism. Like, yea, sure ātreatedā aha. Also, I liked the little Decimation reference, complete with the white/black stones.
The Daemon and Rhaenys scene was good. I like that she takes no shit from his ass. Also liked her little monologue about how hearing of Laenaās death made her go into denial and she couldnāt start grieving until she actually saw her body. It feels very realistic.
This is not what I ever envisioned Alyn to look like lmao. He feels kinda too old? But on the other hand, I guess it maybe makes sense if heās meant to be Corlyās son. Another question though: why are we getting introduced to him and not Addam first, given who the dragonrider will be? Are theyā¦for some reasonā¦merging the two brothers but keeping Alyn of the two???
AEGON this ep/season! Wow, this show is truly bipolar. First, they character assassinate him in S1 and now heās soā¦idk, likeable isnāt really the word. But, compounded by TGCās charm, he really, really has the potential to be a kind of sympathetic or at least fascinating character here. Excited to see this develop.
Loved seeing him as a father. Really, we needed more interaction between Aegon, Heleana and the twins, but you know. Pacing issues. The council scene with Ā Jaehaerys was adorable ā that Aegon cares to bring his son into council, even if heās a bit young for it now, but you can really see him trying to be the father he never got to have in Viserys. And you can see how much he adores this kid.
Really, Aegon, for all his impatience and lack of true competence is so clearly trying. Heās impatient to go to war, but brashness of youth of course, plus itās not like Aemond is not chomping at the bit as well. But Aegon can be restrained (for now) and does listen to his councilors. You can say thatās a sign of his weak will, and yea in part it probably is, but itās not a terrible trait really? For a young, inexperienced king to listen to more seasoned counsel.
AND THE PETITIONS SCENE. He genuinely wants to be a good king to the smallfolk, acknowledges them as a necessary backbone. No, he has no idea what heās doing, but really whoās fault was that? (Looking at you, Vizzy.) It was a great bit of comic relief, especially with TGCās acting, but also just a great portrayal of what an idealistic but really inexperienced, naĆÆve, and not naturally-suited young king might be like. āHe came all this way.ā Awww. He tried lol.
Aegon and his buddies! I love seeing him have friends. Will be interested if they play any more significant roles (like during the war) than just background chatter. The banter was cute. Very dumbass teenage boys vibes.
Dalton Greyjoy mention!
Fuck Larys. Thatās all Iām gonna say on that.
Aegon and Helaenaās conversation njglgjls. He really has not way how to communicate with her and she doesnāt really know how to convey her thoughts/feelings in general. But of course sheās afraid, poor girl :( But as estranged/kinda awkward their relationship is it doesnāt seemā¦terrible, yk?
The Alicent and Otta scene was nice. It felt like they found some understanding and a way to work together. But I do get the sense that yea, Otto is not completely satisfied with it (maybe Alicentās definition of āvictoryā seemed lacking to him, which heās notā¦entirely wrong there).
Lukeās funeral montage was very touching ā the music was gorgeous. (I can only hope they allow Jae the same respect next epā¦) Speaking of that montage, ahhhh Alicent in the sept praying for the deadā¦ The fact this girl prays for Vizzy ffs. And also Luke. She recognizes that he was just a teenager and even though it pains her, she affords him his respect. As Criston says, āshe has a gentle heart.ā
Criston and Aemondās conversation was so great on several levels!
First, of course, Aemond and his father-that-stepped-up making battle plans was great! They really do just have such a great camaraderie and dynamic of trust. Aemond believes in Cristonās excellence; they trust each other with secretive plans and vulnerable conversation. Loved the bit of Criston putting his hand on Aemondās shoulder briefly before leaving the room.
The āthat makes her a foolā line actually comes across better in context than it did in the tailer. (Although, still, who calls their mother by her name??) For one, Aemondās frustration is understandable, he feels misunderstood and unfairly so (given that Alicent and the small council did start this whole thing, as he points out) but also heās probably hurt, given his history with Luke. Remember how he had wanted to make a present of Lukeās eye to Alicent? He thought she was on the same page with him on this and sheāsā¦not. Second, Aemond actually doesnāt realize this is what might be going on with Alicent ā he seems kind of surprised after Cristonās explanation, the way that line is delivered. Heās having his realization out loud but heās also not had time to digest it yet.
Ok SO I am in no way one of those weirdos who thinks that Alicent and Cristonās relationship is all about Rhaenyra (lol). BUT she is a point of common trauma for them. What Criston describes ā Rhaenyra being a ācunning spiderā and having an emotional influence over Alicent and Alicent capitulating to her because of her āgentle heartā is, yes, a description of Alicent, but itās also a description of his own relationship with Rhaenyra, at least how it had felt from his POV. He understands Alicentās feelings here so well and can empathize with her and defend her to Aemond because he loves her, yes, but also because heās been there too.
OK, now ALICOLE.
I meanā¦Am I glad itās canon? Well, yea, Iāve been shipping it super hard. Do they deserve to have consensual sex that brings them joy? Yes! Do I think itās āhypocrisyā? Nope, lol, not matter now much TB screech that it is, it just isnāt. Iām pretty sure Iāve rebloged posts explaining why not.
That all saidā¦man did they not handle this well, or at least certainly not in the best, most compelling way they could have. Now, I understand that my love for asexual/courtly love romance is not something most people share, so this relationship was going get physical if it was to be canon at all. Also, this show isnāt really the right genre for a drawn out slow burn romance, necessarily. But. It IS quite a big leap to suddenly go from āimpliedā and āromantic tensionā toā¦fucking on a regular basis, just because Vizzy has finally kicked the bucket. Especially with these two characters.
Now, Alicent, I can get. Sheās a widow, her marital vows no longer bind her. She has also completed her duty as a wife, mother and queen (re: providing heirs). Social interest in her private life is as low as it could ever be for a woman in that society. (So, not low enough really lol but historically, widows had a lot of freedom, compared to unmarried girls and wives.) But Criston? How does this work for him? His vows are still in place and he had been so heartbroken about having broken them the first time. I mean, yes, this is a very different situation and relationship. Heās older, heās already broken those vows once so itās likeā¦how much he got to lose there? He canāt go back ever to NOT being an oathbreaker. But I really would have wanted to see some more set up. We should have seen them fight their irresistible pull toward each other, until they finally broke.
I did love her putting the cloak back on him afterward. A nice little anti-parallel to how he takes it off during the sex scene with Rhaenyra.
There really, really was no need to have Helaena walk in on them having sex after B&C. There had to be better ways to establish that this was a regular thing for them now and that the whole āwe canāt do this againā is just Alicent/them being in denial. A way that didnāt take away from a moment that is/was supposed to be so horrific and impactful.
I do love the contrast of Alicent and Viserys always doing it missionary style and now with Criston sheās on top!
Blood & Cheese. Oh god. I have spent the last few days so angry about this. Iāve rebloged do many posts about this that Iām not sure I want to spend to much time on it. Itās just depressing at this point. But I will say a couple of things:
Helaenaās reaction does make sense to me. Iāve seen a lot of people, including TG people, saying that it was bad, and she should have been more frantic. But, frankly, she did seem pretty panicked and frantic to me. Itās just this Helaena does not emote/externalize much. At some point it seems like she almost dissociates from the situation. Itās understandable that she picks up her daughter and runs ā she canāt save her son but while the assassins are distracted, of course she takes the chance to try to save her daughter. Even the necklace thing kind of makes sense. In the books, she asks them to kill her in part because she canāt stand to make the awful choice between her two boys ā sheās rather die than choose. But here she hears them talk about her being a son; when they reject her necklace they also repeat how āthatās not a son.ā Only a son will do, so offering her life is pointless, but trying to outbid the person who hired them might not be.
Ā The people (TB, lbr) shrieking about how this was Alicent and Cristonās fault are just willfully dense. If Alicent wasnāt having sex, she might have been sleeping or reading in her room or preying. There is literally nothing that implies that she would have been with Helaena if she wasnāt having sex, ffs. Also, Criston is not the only fucking kingsguard or guard. Wtf were there like no other guards idk. Thatās just a plot hole/devise that looks ridiculous. But nonetheless, he 1) isnāt on duty 24/7, thatās unrealistic, and 2) is Alicentās sworn shield, so he wouldnāt have been guarding Helaena or the kids anyway.
This is where we see that cutting Maelor was a BAD IDEA. Itās going to potentially create even more problems down the line. Who would have thought that cutting characters left and right might be an issue? /s It really diminishes the horror of Helaenās situation and sets up this kind of unrealistic replacement choice which makes no sense because likeā¦why would they even need her to tell them which one is the boy? Itās not that hard to feel the kids up and see which one has the right genitals, yk? Iāve seen people try to do some interesting analysis for how this scene is Thematically Relevant but nah. Thatās just cope the way I used to cope with things in GoT that went wrong in the last seasons by doing metal gymnastics to try to spin them in a more palatable way for me.
But even if they fucked up on the foresight and found themselves with a situation where they needed to play this without Maelorā¦They could have still tried harder. For example: framing it less from the assassinsā POV and more from Helenaās, having the scene be longer, maybe in these circumstances have her try to offer her life/emote more like in the book, have Alicent actually be present too, have the rape threat against Jaehaera, have Daemon actually order Jaeās murder or at fucking least have him say āa son for a sonā on screen because you KNOW the rabid part of this fanbase will act willfully blind and dumb to pretend heās not at fault. I really think itās that last one that makes me the most angry in the end, as the murder of a toddler is awful and horrific even without the Sophieās choice.
And to piggy-back off that last, itās the diminishing of the horror for TG and the whitewashing of TB as much as possible that gets to me the most, I think. They made this horrific, impactful event almost a par for the course (for the GoT/ASOIAF universe) sort of thing and with as little responsibility and plausible deniability given to TB as they could. The blatant bias (that they then have the audacity to pretend isnāt there) is infuriating.
In conclusion: there were plenty of nice things, but the disappointments really overshadowed them.

Bridgerton part 2 thoughts...
With part 1, I watched all 4 episodes in a row and felt a bit odd about it. But then I went and rewatched just the Polin parts and enjoyed it.
Same with part 2. All 4 episodes on Thursday and felt odd.
In the finale, there wasn't much Polin time in the beginning and found myself instantly wanting to fast-forward.
Then yesterday, I rewatched the Polin bits from part 2 and felt like it was a better watch.
Ultimately, in my rewatch of Polin scenes part 2, I actually liked episodes 5 & 6 even though episode 6 could've had much more of Polin.
I didn't like the lack of communication in episodes 7 & 8.
I totally get how Colin was so angry in episode 7 after the LW reveal, especially at the beginning. But he should've communicated with Pen sooner.
Yes, Penelope has been ignored and had to endure cruelty from her mother, sisters, and society her whole life.
But even in previous seasons, it felt like even in Penelope's friendships with Colin and Eloise, they were a bit one-sided. It was more about Colin and Eloise than her.
It's no wonder Penelope tried to save Eloise from being framed through her Whistledown column than actually talk to her.
It's no wonder Penelope tried to save Colin from a disastrous marriage with Marina through Whistledown instead of talking to him.
So in episodes 7 & 8, I was hoping for more communication between Colin and Penelope. For him to listen to her side of the story, let her explain herself, as she has always listened to him. After he had some time to cool down, that is. And before their wedding too.
Because Pen's love language is words of affirmation. So I think they needed to communicate vocally more in the last 2 eps. With the compassion that life-long friends and now lovers have for each other.
And there needed to be an epilogue scene with just Pen and Colin that wasn't just a sex scene, but them talking and joking with each other. As an aspiring writer, I like full-circle stories, so a scene like this would've been nice to show that they are still best friends within their loving marriage.
So yeah, I liked some of part 2, the sweet bits. Episodes 7 & 8 were a bit too dark and painful, but maybe that's what the showrunners intended - for us to experience the same anguish Colin and Pen were feeling.
Also, I definitely wished we had more Colin & Pen scenes. Even whenever they danced together at all the balls in part 2, they cut mid-scene to other characters talking or dancing. It felt like they weren't in their own season enough.
I remember the same criticism of season 2 with Kanthony. If they do release deleted or even extended scenes for this season, I'll welcome it.
But I still liked most of the Polin we got in the first 6 episodes. And I liked some of the side storylines:
Kanthony.
Portia and Penelope healing their relationship.
Eloise learning to listen and be more compassionate with Penelope and for them to be friends again.
Fran & Ben & Gregory & Hyacinth.
But ultimately, it feels like 8 hour-long episodes are too short for such a big cast.
The actors were great. I love the cast. The acting was fantastic. Same with the costume department, music department, sound, lighting, etc. But maybe the editing department can allow for longer episodes.
For Nicola and Luke's long press tour to come to an abrupt halt where we got doses of their lovely friendship, for part 2 to drop with an ending that needed some extra scenes, and to hear the next season won't be until 2026 all on the same day - was challenging to digest. Interestingly, I do feel some sadness, similarly to how I felt when Game of Thrones ended.
So yeah, I loved Polin and I loved big parts of this season. I still love this show because I love the characters, even if I wished the season had ended differently. But the season just needed more Polin. I look forward to rewatching their scenes together.
Okay, rant over =)
