Charlie had just walked in to Godots office, since her mentor had to go visit his mentor and his mentors detective, which by chance was Kristals dad, Kimi. Asher, the prosecutor, turned down to look at charlie, ruffling her hair as he spoke. “i have business to do with your mentor, you can go meet the girl there, thats Kimi's daughter. She might be a bit cold at first but shell warm up” was all he spoke before they left all the room, leaving Kristal and Charlie by themselves in the room.

Kristal was sitting down on the couch of the office, drinking some tea in her special mug as she didnt even dare to look at Charlie at first. She was too quiet, just not wanting to make her presence felt on that moment. Atleast not yet, shed rather much be left alone, she isnt used to interact with other kids her age anyways, so she was always extremily awkward over it.

Charlie laughs a bit when her hair gets ruffled and looks over at the girl on the couch with great interest. "Sure, I will! you guys just do your professional stuff"

She walks over to Kristal with a big smile on her face, tilting her head to the side slightly after she comes to a stop. "Hi there, I'm Charlie Koi! My Mentor Klavier is here to talk with his mentor, but you probably noticed that already, haha. Anyways, you're that Detective's daughter, right? what's your name?"

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

is that piece of media actually bad, or is it just not following the blueprint you projected onto it? is that work actually not good, or are you just demanding something from it that is absolutely antithetical to its themes, genre, tone, and narrative goal? is that story actually poorly written, or do you just dislike that it is not the specific things you wanted from it that it never set out to be, never was, and never is going to become? is it actually bad, or is it actually well-executed and you just dislike the story it chose to be because it isn't catering to your specific desires and expectations?

It's like we all collectively forgot as a society that friendship and just connection in general takes effort. Even if you meet someone you immediately click with, it takes hanging out about 20 times (!) to become friends. And guess what, some of those 20 meetings might be awkward or unimpressive.

We all want to reap the benefits (having a friend circle, having a partner, getting married) without doing the work (going to events, interacting with people, learning to handle conflict maturely, dating). Myself included. If I could, I'd never leave the house or go on another mediocre date again... except, that's part of the process.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, the cure to the loneliness epidemic is touching some grass and building tolerance for tedious in-person interactions.

So my bike was stolen from our garage last night. My beloved, custom, carbon fiber, most-expensive-thing-I-own-aside-from-my-car bike. I just found it listed on FB marketplace. Shit is about to go down.
