For a simple, less greasy dinner, mum prepared this one pot Pork Ribs Noodles Soup (排骨面汤). She added the pork ribs, yong tau foo (酿豆腐), waxy potato and dried scallops to the water to cook in advance. When we are home from office, she heats up the soup again, throw in some of the leafy lettuce and scoop them over the flat yellow noodles.

Mum only prepares this one pot Pork Ribs Noodles Soup (排骨汤面) when it is just the two of us eating. She also adds some Yong Tau Foo (酿豆腐) such as fish balls, bitter gourd stuffed with fish paste and various types of bean curd skin products. The soup is flavoured with sweet corns and dried scallops. Every ingredient is added to the soup except for the mee pok (面薄) or flat yellow noodles and the leafy cabbage. When you are ready to eat, the soup is heated up, cabbage thrown in and then the soup is ladled with the ingredients into a bowl with the noodles.

i’ve been torturing the people at work with night at the museum lately let me tell you actually me and my flatmate are dressing up as jedtavius for halloween but it’s if trixie and katya were cast instead of owen wilson and steve coogan . so like drag jedtavius . also here’s my dinner tonight we went on a trek to find our nearest asian supermarket bc we haven’t had time to explore the new area and i finally got stocked up on all the shit i like (except enoki bc they were out) so i made us tteokbokki and we have a little side of kimchi

I’ve never really finished or released most of my Electra fics for various reasons but one weird thing is they’re hard to describe face-wise for me because they’re very “average” in my mind. The kind of face that looks like a statistically average composite and goes unnoticed on a Philadelphia subway, appealing yet invisible in its inoffensiveness.

It’s a weirdly important mental image for me because they’re almost striking in their averageness.

Wonton & Dace Fishball With Flat Rice Noodle

Time for a small meal. Wonton tastes soft and tasty. Have little salty flavour. Dave Fishball is alright. Flat rice noodle is fragile that’s dried on the inside. Best to slurp few noodles at once to prevent choking. The soup is warm and slightly salty. Fulfilling as a small meal. From “Maxi’s Noodle”
