You know, it's a tragedy that there are no (or very little) Vampire x Christian stories out there, not for angst or theology or forbidden seductiveness or whatnot but for the sheer comedy of it all. I mean, the Christian would technically be immune to all of the vampire's shenanigans, like for example...
Vampire: Fool, I am the most powerful vampire in the West. Nothing but the force of an entire holy temple could even deign to scratch me Christian: Idiot, I AM a holy temple. 1 Corinthians 6:19, fear me and the Spirit inside that can burn you to ashes

Your first pride story was touching and all but you still married a man.
Yeah, bisexuals do that sometimes.

From what I can see, all the commentary on the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes movie thinks this story is trying to answer its philosopical questions, and completely overlooking the fact that all the answers these characters find are the wrong ones. The right answer is in The Hunger Games and Catching Fire and Mockingjay. You can tell because the main character of this story is the villain in the other ones.

Hey, wait a minute...
___
JOKE-OGRAPHY: 1. The Source: This cartoon doesn't have any direct quotes from the trial, like the previous comics, but it's based on this passage here (translated by W. S. Scott): "Asked if she knew Catherine de la Rochelle, or had seen her, [Jeanne] said yes, at Jargeau; and at Montfaucon-en-Berry. Asked whether [Catherine] had shown her a woman dressed in white, who [Catherine] said sometimes appeared to her, [Jeanne] answered no. [...] And in order to be certain of the truth, [Jeanne] had spoken to [her Voices,] Saint Catherine and Saint Margaret, who told her that this Catherine was mad and a liar." 2. Summary: Catherine was another woman who claimed to have revelations from God. St. Joan eventually consulted her Voices about her, and they concluded that Catherine was bonkers. 3. Irony: In this cartoon, the lawyer asks Joan about Catherine, and Joan answers bluntly that Catherine claimed to have visions from God but was a fraud. The lawyer snickers and pretends to empathize with Joan's frustration. He says he understands what it's like to deal with a fake mystic, implying that Joan is a fraud like Catherine. It takes Joan a second to register this insult, but when she does, she gives him the look. 4. Up Next: This isn't the whole passage about Catherine de la Rochelle, just the introduction. I'm saving the rest for the story arc I'm about to do. Stay tuned!

Christian Horner is on a one man political back stabbing thriller and is allegedly:
Actively trying to get rid of Helmut Marko so he can be unilaterally responsible for all of Red Bull's F1 operations
Tried to get Yuki kicked out of AT and Red Bull at large
So much so he was willing to pay 10 mil to get rid of him
He was allegedly stopped by Marko who thought kicking Yuki out now would make the remainder of Honda's tenure very hostile
^ this tracks with the verified account of Honda having to step in to Yukis contract negotiations after they had "stalled"

religon (hangster)
rooster was born and raised in the mitchell-kazansky house. its- eccentric, to say the least. there are notes scrawled over the table reminding maverick of his meetings. ice's shoes are lined straight near the door. its controlled chaos.
but when hangman first walks into the home, it isnt these small, minute details that jump out at him. its bradley's fingers brushing across a small mezuzah on the doorway to the house. he pays no mind. if theyre jewish, thats fine by him. it remains in the back of his mind until he comes back to the house a second time, and he spots the golden cross necklace on one of the windows. it takes him by suprise.
back in texas, the cross adorned every wall. a grey one stood above his bed, its shadow landing on jakes body as he slept in his bed. it reflected from his mothers neck as her words of poison spit out, and stayed in the background, silently surveying the scene as jake seresin ran away from his father, begging for him to stop.
here, though, in this house, it just calmly rests. it watches over the little family from its place hanging on the window.
when he stays for dinner the first time, he expects there to be prayers. there is none. he isn't unsettled, though. it just seems normal.
months pass, and slowly, jake takes up the customs that bradley does whenever he goes the the mitchell-kazansky house. he taps the mezuzah, and puts on the small kippah when he's invited to shabbos.
in the background watches the small golden cross, gleaming in the pale sunbeams that filter through the windows.
for the first time in how many years, he doesn't feel like a sinner. maybe not a saint, sure, but he knows he can turn his back to the small golden cross and just like the mezuzah, it will protect him.

23 years!! So Eddie hasn’t been to confession since he was around 10?!
Well if that isn’t interesting!!! That feels so pointed because that is a very young age to stop going to confession - unless you’ve started to realise you’re different - that the church as been teaching you the things you’re feeling and realising about yourself are not ok according to their teachings and beliefs and the best and easiest way to avoid religious wrath, not look at yourself too closely and bury your feelings is to just stop going to confession (assuming he was still going to church with his parents as I can’t imagine they’d not have him go to church every Sunday at 10!)

if one more person tries to claim that the oh hellos are no longer christian i am going to lose my shit
#they are no longer EVANGELICAL and they don't associate themselves with the organized church#but like ... the whole anemoi series is about deconstructing their faith and coming back around to a new faith? still in god??#they don't just use christian themes. they are christian. if u think that they are NOT christian then u are not understanding their music#like .. i am not religious so this isn't coming from a place of needing them to be recognized as gospel music#if u want to interpret their music differently then go ahead!!!#but straight up. we KNOW what those albums are about because they have TOLD us. & they're deeply intertwined with tyler and maggie's faith#going around spreading the idea that they aren't christian at all is so so so so so so fucking stupid#it's fine if u don't want to think the songs are about christianity but then don't pretend u know what they mean!!!!!#don't pretend u understand all the albums while claiming they're not christian because they ARE!! that's like the whole point!!!!#idk. whatever. just feeling some type of way about people like refusing to use absolutely any critical thought#yes the oh hellos are extremely progressive. no they are not evangelical. yes they try to be subtle about their faith & make music that#non-christians can also listen to & relate deeply to#but making up lies about their personal lives is like. ok whatever. but ur missing the whole point of the albums then. don't pretend ur not#please someone tell me they understand what i'm trying to say here#like this isn't coming from a christian perspective it's coming from a frustrated album-listener perspective#the oh hellos

Flash back to that time I was talking with my therapist and she made the mistake of asking about my Batman hyper fixation. So I told her about fav, Jason, who was the second Robin. And she…she told me she didn’t even know there was a Robin….
So obviously I took this as in invite to info dump the last 20 mins of our session, making a very brief intro to the batkids. (Because we don’t got the time to unpack all of that)
She learned to never ask that again.
(JK, she did. She was good and let me info dump about nerdy stuff)

LISTEN it's not about Doing Something Great and Fulfilling God's Purpose For Your Life because you don't KNOW what his purpose IS for you. for some it's preaching, others staying and 'doing nothing' at home but being quiet about it you don't KNOW his purpose so don't say you're failing at his purpose bc what if you just don't realise what he's doing with your life
