Fish Are Friends Not Abominations
The entire Justice League have been on edge lately watching as a giant creature the size of planet dart around the Milky Way galaxy in an almost panicked state. Despite it's very appearent size it hasn't done anything harmful, passing through planets and stars with intangibility.
Constantine on the other hand was freaking the fuck out. There was a giant realms being with a crazy amount of power searching for something and it felt like the universe itself was holding its breath. He was honestly at his witts end when he felt it.
"YOU! What do you have?" He stopped his pacing to look at Batman's traffic light child.
"That's none of your concern." Robin snapped back.
"Robin." Batman's voice cut through their little conversation. By now every JL memeber was watching them.
"It's nothing–"
"Oh yes it is, now let me see it."
As if on que a tiny glowing humanoid creature popped into view ontop of Robin's head cooing and making warbled noises.
Constantine paled.
Robin took the being from his head and held it in his arms, pulling out a batarang and giving it to the thing which then began to bite it.
"Robin." Batman started, voice firm but sounding tired.
"This one found me first." He countered.
"It doesn't matter how you found it, we need to–" Constantine's words were cut off as the large creature released a noise that sounded almost like a whale but something like warbled speech mixed into it. What happened next sent his heartbeat into a marathon and his stomach to a deep trench.
Robin's little creature stopped chewing on its toy and responded with a cry of its own.
Welp they were fucked now.
The large creature's head snapped to their direction, eyes directly on the watchtower as if it could perfectly see them from such a distance and sped towards their location.

So Dani got deaged to 3 and Danny 32 moved both of them to Central City, becoming a chemistry teacher. Dani grows as normal.
Eventually though, it becomes clear that Central doesn’t have enough ambient ecto to sustain Dani, so they move to Gotham.
Danny gets a job at Giatha Acdany, and sends Dani there. Danny also runs the astronomy club, which Damian Wayne joins.
He and Dani share classes, and it becomes clear that they hate each others guts. Everything becomes a competition with them, and they both have an equal chance of winning. The entire school is placing bets on them.
Eventually, parent-teacher conferences roll around, and Danny gets to meet the father of Damian.
Him and Bruce instantly click.
Damian is not pleased. Nor is Dani.
Damian and Dani form a temporary alliance to prevent their fathers from dating.
Eventually, Damian and Dani learn to tolerate each other. And their plan still hasn’t worked.
It’s the last day of the school year, and Danny’s and Dani are going abroad they actually going to the GZ for the holidays. They are saying their goodbyes when the GIW attacks the school, snatching Dani and Danny from under their noses.
No one is pleased.

Dead on Main
4/5
Jason had always loved the drawings littering his arms. As soon as he knew how to write and had markers, he would write notes to his soulmate. He knew Danny like the back of his hand. Danny was the first person he said good morning too and the last person he said good night too.
He barely managed to scribble out a message to Danny before he died, apologizing.(He prayed Danny forgave him for leaving him alone.)
After Jason was resurrected, he didn’t know what to say to Danny. Danny still wrote on his arms, and Jason would be lying he said he didn’t look over those notes and feel tempted to write back. But Danny deserved better than what Jason could give him.
(the only person Jason ever showed the notes to was Damian. He would let the little Demon trace over them silently as he explained. He knew the league’s policy on soulmates was not kind. He hoped Talia would be kinder to the kid)
Then the writing started getting sloppier. The notes became those of a vigilante, the one thing he had hoped his soulmate wouldn’t have to be. Jason wasn’t supposed to leave the League. Jason should be working towards his revenge on The Joker, his plans for Gotham.
But then Danny wrote about Vlad. About the creepy guy that made his insides crawl and Jason couldn’t keep himself from clenching his teeth.(all of the trainees got used to Jason having some days where he was worse than others. Sometimes, the pit would rage inside of him at the thought of Lasters, but oddly enough messages from Danny seemed to ground him and make it harder for the Pit to control him)(maybe that’s why the league didn’t approve of soulmates.)
It was when the writings stopped that Jason really got worried and started preparing to leave. Talya caught him quickly, but was surprisingly willing to let him go. Her only request was that He took Damien with him. (Sometimes, he noticed how Talia wore the same sleeves that he did. He wondered sometimes if Talia only pretended not to have a soulmate.)
The last message that he got from Danny was the one that made him leave three weeks earlier than planned, with a demon child to his back, and guns ready to fire.
I never expected to be a teen dad. I’m kind of scared, but like hell I’m letting the fruit loop raise these kids.
I wish you were raising them with me.

Danny is the type of guy gal ghost to Commit To a Bit. This is very common knowledge
But he may have overdone it this time.
---
Dan and Ellie had met the Red Hood, who seemed yucky. Ellie said this herself. Jason was not amused, and did not appreciate them following him around for the rest of the week.
After a bout of panic, Danny had finally tracked the tykes down. After seeing who they were with, he sighed. Of course those two would. Well he could play at that game.
Danny had popped in and pecked him on both sides of the helmet, leaving a casual lie before legging it.
"Hey hun, thanks for watching the kids. I'll take it from here."
---
It's been a month now, and somehow he has two kids with a notorious crime boss and goes on nightly dates with him.

Well, I mean . . . some book Devil's Minion fans have only just realized the show is actually doing that relationship at all just this season. And maybe only after this most recent episode.
Because from what I saw (and anyone is free to correct me if I'm wrong), a large majority of them -- as well as just many book fans in general -- thought the whole Devil's Minion relationship had been cut out of the show because of Daniel's age-up. Like, before Season 1 even aired. They never even entertained the idea that Daniel being old meant it could still happen. Some even refused to watch the show because they were sure Devil's Minion had been cut out, and so didn't even watch Season 1 at all.
And then, of course -- on top of that -- you also had some saying that the show had straightwashed Daniel's character along with aging him up. Because of, from what I've gathered, scripts that were written and leaked at least a year before production on season one started (and were rewritten only one month before production began and so were completely outdated by the time Season 1 was filming); but then also because of Daniel's line in episode 1x01 about only going to gay bars to score drugs and "doing what he had to."
It was . . . interesting how many people just declared the show straightwashed Daniel's character because of his age and/or that comment when asked by Louis about Polynesian Mary's. And ignored the tells that Daniel was obfuscating something with that reply . . . and that maybe he didn't want to share his past sexual history with a vampire that he only remembers almost killed him once . . . and that him having been married to a woman didn't mean he was straight and was actually just hiding that he was bisexual . . . and that he looked to have some internalized homophobia going on which would fit given his age and generation . . .
So yeah, as far as what I've observed of the book side of fandom, there was only a tiny -- at most -- group who thought Devil's Minion was going to happen on the show before it first aired. And I'm sure more began to think so as the season progressed. But even after Season 1 was done, there were still many more book fans/readers saying Devil's Minion was cut from the show, here and on other social media platforms. Even with all the context clues that were pointing toward the opposite. (I, personally, was very close to sure that Devil's Minion had happened in the past by episode 1x04. And pretty much 100% there by the end of episode 1x06.)
It's been forever and a day since I was in book fandom, so it was very much a surprise to come in and see that the majority of it thought Devil's Minion was cut out of the show just because of Daniel's age up. And when Rolin Jones himself had already said at Comic-Con in 2022 that if that relationship was important to you as a reader of the books, then you would be happy. I mean, yeah, showrunners as a whole have lied more than once about such things and upcoming storylines, but I was at least willing to give the man the benefit of the doubt since this was the first show he was ever running and didn't have a track record about lying about such things yet. (And before this, I was in Game of Thrones fandom, so yeah, lying showrunners? D&D holds the crown for me wrt that.)
So yeah, if I had to guess, I think there are many Devil's Minion book fans who really have only had two episodes -- of Season 2 -- to actually come to the realization that yeah, Devil's Minion actually is happening on the show. And that yeah, it is going to happen -- in the present day timeline -- with one of them being 70 years old, and looking it.
But I do want to be fair and say that I'm sure some who are genuinely worried about how it will be adapted and if the show will get their dynamic right. That's valid. But I personally haven't seen any misteps yet. (Because trust, I will call it out if I think there's one.) But that doesn't take away from the fact that some vocal parts of book fandom completely dismissed Devil's Minion happening on the show and that reason was because of Daniel's age and thinking he'd gotten straightwashed. Long before and after Season 1 aired. Despite what the show was hinting at to the contrary.
i think the biggest reason why some book devil's minion readers don't like tv devil's minion is because y'all just don't like old ppl. you just don't like the fact they aged daniel. i'm sorry you're so blinded by your ageism that you can't see past it to find how ingenious it is that they made daniel older. what a bunch of cowards.

BREAKING NEWS! Youngest Wayne's Secret Lovechild?!
Teenage Ellie taking care of deaged Danny and moving to Gotham to hide from Vlad because Lady Gotham offered them sanctuary and will keep Vlad out.
BUT
Chaos is set into motion when during a Rogue attack, Damian Wayne (not as Robin at the moment) saves him and returns Danny to Ellie...
The internet/news happen because of course it did.
And people mistake Danny as his kid and Ellie his baby mama.

There’s a very easy way to get around the fact that Assad is unable to pass for a teeenager if the show wants to adapt TVA and that’s to rely on the theme of unreliable narration. Armand begins retelling his history and according to him, he looked like he was in his early adulthood. No older than twenty four, for sure, but also not any younger than twenty. And then, just when the audience has bought it, just when this version of events has been presented as the truth for long enough, someone questions it. Asks if he really looked like that. Asks if he’s being honest with himself. And for the briefest moment, we flashback to Amadeo, the age he was when Marius first saw him. Beaten, shackled, afraid. And undeniably a child.
