17. what is something youre confident about in your art?

Anatomy. Absolutely. Without a doubt.

I still mess it up sometimes (literally every artist does). But it's one of the things I was trained specifically to do.

And if we're talking drawing bones? I LOVE drawing bones. I have won awards for drawing bones back in my Scientific Illustration days. And I love teaching how to draw bones. That was my favorite thing when I taught scientific art.

16. how do you motivate yourself to draw?

i don't

serious answer: motivating myself to draw is something i struggle with the most, which is why my art output has been so low over the past few years

but!! i find the thing that motivates me the most is having other artist friends to chat with and bounce ideas of off, as well as finding little communities where you can draw things together. like having ocs in the same universe!! it's so fun to draw interractions n stuff between your silly made up guys

i think the point when i was drawing the most is when i was active in a bunch of closed species groups on deviantart. say what you will about closed species, it's really fun to be a part of a community built on drawing little creatures hanging out in some fictional universe

it looks like a children's storybook and it's mostly lineless and looks not bad so i'm happy with it :D

i don't know how to answer this. i always love just drawing with a ballpoint pen after digital art tho

i usually listen to the bluey soundtrack while drawing. either one of the two official albums but mainly the episode tracks released by musicmaster on yt. i like listening to stuff with no lyrics

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw

BRUCE FUCKING WAYNE a menace to my soul and ipad. i cannot draw this guy. it's a curse he's my fav - the universe wants me to stay humble

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself

out of my personal work, i post about 40% of what i draw. the unposted stuff is dc art i'm not happy with and oc art, which i do a lot of too. don't plan to ever post my oc stuff online though

posting art is THE hardest part of drawing for me. showing my drawings to other people...is difficult for me in a way i can't explain. im a ball of nerves every time

8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in

so i drew these pieces of tim and damian in gotham academy uniforms and i had a hc that tim was in ap art

AND I HAD THIS IDEA that im going to draw tim's ap art portfolio. But then I actually reread the ap art guidelines and it was like wait...why would i want to put myself through ap art again? i wouldn't line up to take the SATs for funnies

so that was the end of that
