I finally finished Apollo Justice Ace Attorney and.... I have mixed feelings.
Mostly for me, the game can be summarized as good ideas, bad or (not as good as the idea deserved) execution.
See I like many of the new ideas. I love the idea of a new protagonist Phoenix has to mentor. It feels like a logical progression of his character. I am okay with Phoenix losing his badge because of a problem in the judicial system and him scheming for seven years to solve the problem. I love Trucy and her being Phoenix's adopted daughter. I like Ema becoming more cynical because she failed her exam. As far as the cases go, I like many of the twists in theory and the idea of the first and the last cases being connected was absolutely brilliant, as the first cases often feel very tutorial-ish (although they reused that idea from the third game of the first trilogy, I still give them point for following on an idea that worked).
The biggest problem for me was the direction they took the game in and the "moral" they wanted to make, which didn't really fit with the rest of the games. I have no problem with a jury system being implemented, I think it's a good idea, but the game didn't earn it and didn't explain why this was the logical, best conclusion to improve the law system. The justification they give is flawed at best, as the lack of evidence has only been a problem in few instances over the course of the games.
(Also, the fact that they genuinely say that it's a good idea to rely on the citizen's common sense is laughable with recent events. Like, you're sure about that buddies?!)
The problem is that the lack of evidence has never been a problem in the Ace Attorney franchise. The problem is and has always been, even in that game, the corruption and the incompetence of the people in charge of maintaining the law : the detectives, the prosecution office and, in this game, the defense office. Need I remind that the chief of police was found corrupt as far back as the first game, that at least three prosecutors were found to be guilty of some crimes (with two of them being charged for murder), that the detectives involved are incompetent (Gumshoe) or unmotivated (Ema), that the defense has no access to the prosecution's witnesses and evidence and also has the burden to find the real culprit if they want to get a non-guilty verdict for their own client, even if they have proved with 100% certainty that the defendant couldn't have committed the murder.
Furthermore, the short timeframe given to investigate and trial the cases pretty much exacerbates the problems I have mentioned. The detectives and the prosecution do not have time to properly investigate, causing them to miss evidence or not investigate other possible suspects. No wonder then they are overly aggressive, pressure witnesses or manipulate evidence.
These for me sound like the far bigger problems, and the jury system does not resolve them at all! At best, it puts more eyes on what the prosecution does, but who cares! The judge can barely keep them in check, you think random citizens will?! In this situation, with that system, implementing the jury system feels like having a great illness and only being given paracetamol to fix the headaches. Like thank you but it's not really addressing the actual issue is it?
And it's a pain because I want to see more of the characters introduced in that game: Apollo, Trucy, Klavier, even stand noodle guy who was, surprisingly, probably my favorite of the people involved in the cases.
Also Vera was totally abused by her father and I am not sorry at all he's dead! He deserved worse! Dude locked up his daughter for her entire life in their apartment and got her involved in illegal activities, including forging evidence, because he couldn't get off his ass and find a normal fucking job when his career as a painter didn't take off. I know she has trauma, but dude couldn't get her a therapist, or read self-help books, or anything beside locking her up inside and stunting her social skills forever! Fuck that dude! And fuck Zak Gramarye too! If he had just revealed what had actually transpired during his talk with his mentor and shown his mentor's will, none of this would have happen (I'm still not clear on why he didn't. Why the need for secrecy!?). And fuck him for abandoning his daughter too !
Actually a lot of fathers/mentors involved in that case are criminals or completely suck. Even Phoenix isn't that great as a mentor. Were the writers in that game working through something?

. . . ( part 2 )
â
"nah, what the fuck is thisâ big bad wolf bullshit?" you can hear matt's voice falter for a second, your bare knees digging into the wood floor of his room. he decided to stream for a few hours tonight, both chris and nick away doing their own things.
for the first hour and a half matt just played some games until you got bored and snuck under his desk, his hand cupping your cheek to give it a light warning smack to whatever cheeky ideas that were brewing in your head.
deft hands slowly started tugging his sweatpants down, to which he just hummed and swiveled around gently in his chair for a second. settling back down, matt was leaning forwards a little to put some music on for the stream, shouting out names he was able to catch that were gifting.
he's fixing his headset and turning the music up a little, it's mainly just to hide any groans and sighs he lets out however. for a second, he steals a glance down at you to find you slowly lowering the hem of his boxers, and he responds by subtly lifting his hips.
matt didn't totally like this idea. one little mistake and the whole stream of.. fifteen thousand people would know what was going on, but he couldn't deny how painfully hard he was just by seeing you on your kneesâa little cramped under the small space of his desk.
when you free his length to find pre already dribbling from his slit, your thumb reaches up to thumb at his tip and spread the bead of pre made lube down his shaft. you don't miss the way his thighs tense, hips twitching up a little as you listen to the way he scolds the chat for telling him to react to edits and read fanfiction.
one hand rests on his thigh while the other jerks up and down slowly, twisting your wrist up at the top as you lean forward. parting your lips, you let some saliva drip down the length of his dick and don't miss the heavy sigh he lets out.
soon you're hollowing your cheeks out and bobbing your head gently up and down matt's cockâone hand threading through your hair and digging blunt nails into the back of your head. you can't see his faceâbut you can hear the way his voice trembles once in awhile and how heavy he's breathing.
your nose presses into his skin, dick shoved all the way down your throat and you gagâonly forcing matt to ball one of his hands up into a fist to pretened to cough because he was about this close to letting out a groan.
the noisy slurping and gagging noises of your mouth have him panicking for a second before he's quickly turning the volume of the music up, per chat's request and totally not because it put him just a little more at ease.
he keeps a hand casual over his mouth or on his face, pretending to cough or whatever. his other hand is leaving your headâfingers twitching to pull you off just so he can fuck your throat to his heart's content.
so far so good, right? the stream went pretty smoothly until you'd done something with your tongue and he felt his tip hit the back of your throat, and matt's head is tilting back against his gaming chair and a tortured groan is ripped from his lips.
oops?
notes. sorry if this has spelling mistakes / mistakes in general or anything doesn't make sense i am TIREDD... feel kinda insane w how good matt n chris looked on stream tho. anyways where the fuck did 75 followers come from? like? what??? thank u all i love u guys <3 know its not a lot but argghhb + i reached 100+ notes on a post like ugh <33

Hi, I wanted to make a request about Luffy x female reader. The reader is feminine but clumsy, emotionally-reserved, unexperienced and kind-hearted. Smart and funny, with a soft spot for Luffy. . As for the plot, "she fell first, but he fell harder", slice of life with a little angst would be perfect. I'm desperate for fanfiction about first experience in everything kinda stuff. I'm not a minor, so it would be very good to see some sensual and awkward smut. I would be glad to read anything you'll write about Luffy x female!reader and I hope that you liked my request (^o^)/ sorry for bad english
It's Okay ~ Luffy x F!Reader
First of all, thank you for being my first request, you made me really happy and I'm really sorry for the really long wait, we had a really rough couple of months. Also, it's the first smut I've ever written so read this with patience. English is not my first language either and I'm sorry for any mistakes. Anyways, I had fun writing this, I hope you'll like it, lots of love!
Words: +3k
Warnings: hurt/comfort, op spoilers, ptsd, mentions of character death, comfort sex, smut with plot, oral (f!receiving), virginity loss (both), unprotected sex, cockwarming, fluffy ending kinda?, no use of Y/N

Quiet days on The Thousand Sunny were as rare as mythical zoans. Not only because of dangerous encounters but also because of how calm the whole crew was today. Even your walking ray of sunshine captain was not as wild as usual. But you couldnât really complain as you could focus on your task in silence.
The tailor of the crew, responsible of sewing, stitching and mending every piece of fabric on the ship. And that included the sails. Strong winds the night before managed a large tear and the next island was a couple of days away. So you had a job to do. Standing on a rope ladder, you effortlessly worked through the sails with elegance. Every piece of fabric in your home deserved care, as youâd always say when you mended the torn up clothes of your crew mates.
You were proud you could provide your family with loved and cared clothes and everything else they needed, top priority along with the dream of becoming the best tailor the seas had ever seen. Your mind wandered away to the smile of your captain every time you placed the fixed straw hat you came to love so much on his head, while you automatically repaired the sail. But your gracefulness started and ended at the needle in your hand.
Looking away into the sea for one second resulted in you prickling your finger. The sudden feeling caused you to lose your step and balance and you yelped as you fell from the ladder, expecting a hard fall and a trip to Chopperâs infirmary. But the land never came, arms wrapping around your frame, drawing you to somebodyâs embrace. In fear, you wrapped yourself around your saviorâs waist like a koala, your flower patterned dress coming up slightly. Your face went to the crook of his neck for one second, immediately recognizing who it was, and you raised your head to look at him in embarrassment.
âHi there!â
âLuffy, thank you, Iâm so sorry!â
âItâs alright. Was on my way to check if you needed help. Guess I was right.â he said laughing.
You smiled and hugged him tightly as he put you down on the deck. You were embarrassed, part of it because of your own clumsiness, another part because of the way Luffyâs hands lingered on your waist before letting you go.
âAre you almost done? Picked up a new card game from the last island and I want to play with you.â
âOh, ah, I, I still have some, some work to do...?â
You didnât. You also didnât know why you said that. You said a lot of stupid stuff lately. You loved spending time with your captain, especially when you knew there wouldnât be a crazy fight following you in a few hours. Falling in love with his brown eyes, his goofy and brave personality and his loyalty to his friends was the reason you said yes to joining the Straw Hats after you helped them save Robin in Ennies Lobby.
But ever since you returned to Sabaody, itâs gotten harder to contain the feelings for your first love. The other night while you two were keeping watch and talking about things you loved, an âI love youâ escaped your lips without thinking, proceeding to an inept attempt to cover it by saying how you loved he is such a loyal friend. You felt the blush rushing to your cheeks as you looked again on his face and noticed something you were seeing more and more these days. His trademark smile was reduced to a small upward line and in his eyes there was a gleam of sadness. You couldnât have that.
âItâs fine, Iâll see you around later I guess-â
âOn another note, I can always finish it later. Letâs go play, Captain!â
And you grabbed his arm, running like a child playing chase across the deck toward Namiâs tangerine trees, laughing as you tripped on your two left feet, Luffy holding you upwards and laughing in the process, always there to catch you.
~
The ship was in motion, light rain falling from the night sky as Luffy found himself walking aimlessly on the empty deck. His black hair tousled, his straw hat dangling from the string around his neck, his posture slumped, trying to find some sort of relief in the breeze that hit his face. His trembling hands grip the railing, his gaze lost towards the vast ocean, unable to back focus on anything but his most recent nightmare. Memories of Ace's death spreading, like poison in his veins, once again. He tried to steady his breathing but failed as hot tears run down his cheeks, silent sobs leaving his body, trying not to wake up his crew. He hadnât talked to anyone about Marineford. There was no reason for his friends to see him in that weakened state. He could tell that everyone felt guilty because they werenât there for him, he didnât want to feed that ugly feeling inside them.
You felt restless, worry prickling your skin like a hundred needles at once. Sleep wouldnât do you a favor so you hoped off bed to get some fresh air on the deck and some moments of peace to think. Luffyâs sad eyes lingered in your thoughts. You couldnât help but think about how much he had changed since you first met. You remembered the scrawny, eager, brave boy he was. Now his hair was longer and spikier, and he looked stronger than ever before, he was almost a man. Despite his carefree looks, a lot had changed about him. Yes, he was still as eager and resilient and determinated as ever, yet more mature, as much as maturity applied to him. And that big scar across his chest was the only testament of the fight he gave alone two years ago, as he hadn't talked to any of you about it. Not that he had to. You all knew you would wholeheartedly give him the support in any form heâd need. Youâd do what you knew best. Take care of the people you loved. And from the moment you joined the crew, you knew your heart belonged to the straw hat captain.
You spotted Luffy in the front of the ship. It was unusual for him to be up and alone this late at night. Your eyes filled with concern, you walked closer to him as you noticed the trembling in his form, worry rising in your chest. Your hand caressing his shoulder slightly, you didnât want to scare him or make him feel worse.
"Luffy?" you asked softly, voice barely audible over the wind.
Luffy wiped his tear streaked face quickly and tried to control his heavy breathing, wanting to be like his usual self, even if he knew it was too late for acting.
âIâŚâ
He took a deep breath trying to hold it all in. He was the one that was supposed to help people through their crying and problems, to protect them. He couldnât protect his friends in Sabaody, he couldnât save his brother. He swore heâd never let anything like those things happen again. He didnât want to be seen as weak. Not again. Not in front of his crew. Not in front of you.
âItâs okay, Luffy.â
His eyes met yours, a warm and safe gaze, always inviting and full of love, ready to be a place of comfort and joy to anyone that needed it. You wrapped your arms around his shoulder and back, taking him in a comforting embrace. His arms went immediately around you, his face buried in the crook of your neck as silent sobs left him once again. He hugged you tightly, hyperventilating as he let every last feeling of grief and pain out. You felt your eyes well too, the pain your favorite person carried alone enough to make you want to scream.
âItâs okay⌠youâre okay⌠it wasnât your faultâŚâ
âI couldnât⌠I thought you⌠were all dead⌠and⌠I was right there⌠I couldnât save him⌠he left⌠in my arms⌠it should have been me!â
Your heart ached listening to Luffy's sobs, tears running down your face as well. You pulled back slightly, cupping his face in your hands, and looked into his red, puffy eyes.
âListen to me! Donât say that again, ever! We all know youâd never let us down. You did everything you could, Luffy, you always do, and itâs enough for us." You said, voice shaking, carrying all the sincerity in the world. "And you always were there for him. You gave everything you had! He loved you so much and you saved him because you showed him how loved and cherished he was! You're still doing everything you can to keep his memory alive. That's what he would want! Donât do this to yourself, please.â
You wiped the tears off his face and squeezed his cheeks like you usually did when you shared food and laughs together, managing to drag out a small smile from the boy.
âHow about we go grab some tea and biscuits from the kitchen before Sanji comes down from his watch and go to my room?â you suggested, knowing Luffy would never say no to food.
âItâs on!â
Stealth wasnât your strongest suit as you somehow always managed to hit on something. And with Luffy beside you, havoc was almost always certain. Getting out of the kitchen as fast as you could, before Sanjiâs yells could reach you, you run into the ship, down to your handicraftâs room. The warmth of the cabin enveloped Luffy, feeling a little more like his usual self now, as he took in the room. Thatâs were all your great works laid, with needles, threads and sewing machines all over the place. From clothes and blankets to large embroideries hanging from the walls. You laid a soft, fluffy blanket on the ground to sit on. You sipped your scolding tea as Luffy munched on a cookie, taking in your works.
âI donât know how you can make beautiful things like these.â
âIâve practiced it a lot. And I love it. Iâm glad you like it, Captain.â
You smiled widely, gaining a toothy grin from him.
âThank you.â
âFor what?â
âFor always being here.â
You were thinking your next words for a moment before moving the cups and plate from the blanket, taking his shoulders gently as you both laid on the ground, your eyes looking at each other, taking his hand into yours.
âIt's alright to not be fine, you know⌠I'll always be here for you, no matter what.â
âItâs⌠Iâm not thinking about it most of the time⌠I just have nightmares⌠itâs hard sometimes.â
âAnd thatâs completely logical, Luffy, youâve been through hell! I collapsed when I heard the news and couldnât be with you. I would have run to you if I could. I love you so much and Iâm sorry I wasnât there andâŚâ
You were the one tearing up now, cheeks red from embarrassment as the words slipped through your mouth without thinking. You knew Luffy would be shattered when you heard about Ace. The only thing you wanted was to hug him until you pulled all his pieces back together. He met your gaze. Luffy was never interested in romance. He didnât thought he needed it. Until he met you and for the first time, he wanted someone to join his crew not only because he wanted them as a friend and theyâd be a great addition, but because he felt something different, something he couldnât quite understand. The only thing he knew was that he loved you a little differently than the rest of his friends. It was his turn to brush the tears off your face now and you melted from his touch. You tried to speak but before you could, his hand, warm and slightly trembling, cup your cheek. His lips pressed into yours, just for a moment, before drawing back only inches from your face.
âI think I love you too.â
Your eyes widened in surprise, heart pounding against your ribs. Never had you thought youâd hear those words from Luffy. Of course, you knew he loved everyone in the crew, but this felt different. You felt like you would burst into flames as you blushed even more.
âYou, you do?!â
âYeah⌠youâre sweet and strong⌠always by my side⌠youâre very important to meâŚâ
You let out a gasp of surprise as you hugged him tightly and crushed your lips into his clumsily, both of you laughing at your enthusiasm. Small, sweet kisses evolved into longer, more passionately ones and soon you were underneath him, his hands caressing your thigh beneath your dress, your hands slowly pushing his vest off of him.
âAre you okay?â
âI am, you?â
âMe too.â
Soon, your clothes landed somewhere else in the room as you felt him caressing your skin everywhere and you gasped into the kiss, him taking advantage of your parted lips to push his tongue into your mouth, tangling it messily with yours. His lips travelled down your neck and lower, soon to be between your legs. A feeling of self-consciousness crept over you as you closed your legs and he smiled up at you as he caressed your thigh.
âHey, itâs okay, we can stop if you want.â
âNo, I want this, Iâve just⌠never do this beforeâŚâ
âNeither do I. Weâll find it together. But I want you to be comfortable. You can stop me if you donât feel okay.â
You smile down at him and relaxed a bit, allowing him to spread your legs and start kissing the inside of your thighs. It felt so good to share another experience with him, and his touch was gentler than you thought it would be. He positioned your thighs on his shoulders and before you could react, his mouth was on you, his tongue licking a stripe before latching onto your clit. Your head fell back immediately as a choked out moan slipped through your mouth, one hand flying to his hair, pulling on his locks gently as the other grasped the blanket beneath you. His eyes were on you, his look was magnetic and focused on the task of making you feel good. A finger circling your tight hole, it pushed inside you slowly as he sucked on your clit, making you whimper from the pleasurable feeling. The stretching inside you new and welcomed, a combination of his mouth and a second finger breaching in has your orgasm approaching faster than you expected. He curled his fingers upwards, hitting repeatedly a spot you had never reached before on your own and it pushed you over the edge unexpectedly. He smiles against you as small moans left your mouth, your whole body shaking, your head spinning.
Coming down from your high, he crawls back on top of you and kisses you passionately, your tongues intertwining. You can taste yourself through the kiss, and it makes you long for more. He breaks the kiss and smiles down at you.
âHow was that?â
âLuffy, it was⌠amazing. How did you know-â
âDidnât. Just did what felt right. Are you okay to continue?â
You nodded eagerly and he grinned at you, his lips back on yours again. Your hand sneaks between your bodies to grab his dick, gently pumping him up and down, bringing him close to your folds. He moans into the kiss and swats your hand away, gliding himself between your now soaked pussy, his tip touching your clit every time, sending small jolts of pleasure down your spine. He breaks the kiss, his face only inches apart from yours, staring into your eyes.
âYouâre sure?â, he whispered.
âYes captain, pleaseâŚâ
A shiver run through his body as he hears your plead, and he moves his tip against your entrance, pushing in. A small gasp escape you and a sharp hiss leaves his mouth as he slowly slides into you, his movements awkward but gentle, the feeling of your warmth around him making him slightly tremble as he bottoms out. It felt slightly uncomfortable for you at first but the pain you expected to feel was nowhere to be found. His lips were on your neck, nibbling and sucking gently while his arms roamed your body, trying to make you relax as he stayed still, waiting for you to adjust to him. A few moments passed and your hand cupped his chin, bringing his lips to yours in a sweet kiss.
âFeels better now?â
âYes, Luffy⌠please, moveâŚâ
He smiled down at you and placed another soft kiss on your lips as he began to move, taking it slow and tender, setting a rhythm that made you gasp, the pleasure spreading over you. One of his hands on yours, intertwining your fingers as the other grabbed your thigh to keep you against him, his forehead on yours, eyes closed as you both relished the feeling of your bodies pressed together. His speed picked up slightly as he finds a steady rhythm and you moan his name, your legs wrapping around his waist to keep him close. He smiles widely and kisses you deeply, his tongue exploring your mouth, your fingers running through his hair, gently tugging at his dark locks.
One hand gripped your thigh rougher now, pushing it upwards, the shift in position allowing him to go deeper, the other sneaking between your bodies to rub at your clit. Your face buries in the crook of his neck, trying to choke down your moans, the knot in your stomach tightening as his thrusts grow faster and sloppier, you feel that heâs close too.
Your lips connect again in a messy kiss and your back arches as you come undone, crying out through the kiss, your nails dragging down his back. He breaks the kiss, his lips trailing down your jaw and neck, his hands grab your hips to drag you to him as he fucks you through your high, his hips stuttering, feeling your walls squeezing him tight, pushing him over the edge with you.
You stay like this for a while, hands wrapped around each other, his face buried in the crook of your neck, savoring the moment. He places a tender kiss on your cheek and turns to face you, his head on your shoulder.
âHow do you feel?â
âI feel⌠wonderfulâŚâ you say with a sigh as you smile up at him. His hand caressing you cheek, he placed another sweet kiss before stretching his hand to grab another blanket nearby, covering the both of you. He then lies flat on top of you again, his arms wrapping around you, and closes his eyes, still inside you.
âLuff, weâŚâ
âCanât move, I feel snuggly right now.â
You laugh softly as you hug him back, feeling his breath slow down as he slowly falls asleep, your eyelids getting heavy as well, a content smile playing on your lips.
âGoodnight dummyâŚâ

The corpse-quiet hours before dawn settled over the world with the languidness of dripping wax. There was a tenseness to it, beneath the silence, the twinings of a tautly strung instrument. You could smell it on the breeze too, a lick of disturbance carried sharply on the air alongside the fragrance of jasmine and rose. This night was a thing too tender for imminence, you thought, as you watched off-white petals scatter across pristine marble.
You felt it in your bones first, as it reverberated through the night. It felt like rolling thunder across the mountainside, but it was far too regimented to be birthed from mother nature. No, you knew this sound as intimately as your own heartbeat.Â
Hoofbeats. Steadfast, almost urgent, as they ascended towards the palace. Through your balcony, you could see a sea of them, clad in the pure white of moonlight and the gold of dawn. At the very front jostled a garish carriage swathed in the same colours, flying your nationâs flags. You stepped further out onto the balcony. A retinue, a homecoming. Your brother has returned.
Of course, ease slid through your veins at the fact that it was not a darker reality encroaching, but it curdled instantaneously, soured by the notion that you would merely be a marionette tugged upon and prettied up in order to appease him. A dutiful princess, you would play the part of orator, musician, perhaps finally bride to a stranger if the King and all his attendants had his way. What were you but a flower with an endless array of malleable petals to be arranged this way and that?Â
You drank in the perfumed scents that swirled around you, a sigh passing your parted lips. The silk curtains of your suite lifted like a breath, the solid colour broken apart by somebody familiar, whose chest rattled for the solace of fresh air.
Your features did not falter as your eyes remained fixed upon the retinue fast approaching. The girl, one of your many pairs of watchful eyes, strode towards you, sweat upon her brow, a worrisome crease at the youthful corner of her lips. You remained fixed as you felt the brush of rough parchment against your smooth palm.
Politics was a game played by degrees, after all. It demanded quiet, the slithering of a black-belllied snake in the grass, waiting for the perfect moment to coil around its prey and squeeze. You let the paper unfurl against the wind, let it flap in the air as you read word upon word scrawled onto the page with an unsteady hand.
You knew what you hungered for, the prey that dangled just out of reach above your open maw. It glistened deepest oceanic blue cast in gold, and it sat safely atop of your tyrannical brotherâs head.
Like all noble daughters, you knew that patience was a virtue. Things did not fall easily into your lap, so you would have to work for it, a dog searching ceaselessly for a single scrap of bone. You would let the meat of the empire simmer, wait until it was your turn to have your fill.
The parchment began to crinkle under the ferocity of your grip as your brother flashed through your mind. His smile, all canines. The cruelty that lurked just beneath the surface of that untarnished exterior.
With a fiery savagery singing in your veins, you silently declared that his crown would be yours.
      𼸠𼸠đĽ¸
The dayâs last light was beginning to wither away, its last breath sweeping across the courtyard below and setting it ablaze. The air that seemed like an extension of your own lungs the night before was cloying now, pollen stuck in the crevice of your throat and tightening it with fist-strength.
There were certain things you expected of your brother, but thisâŚ
Your eyes flitted from the balustrade to the woman who stood just behind the gauzy silk draped across the doorway. She had a straight spine to match the strength in her features. Slight aquiline nose, plump lips, and those eyes, crystalline blue but honed from years of slinking, silent observation. There was no denying the touch of regality woven throughout her being. If somebody had said she were an empress from some distant land, you would have believed them.
It wasnât such an extravagance that granted you with her presence, though. A white cape threaded with gold was draped around her armour-laden shoulders. There was a sword at her hip, but the breadth of her body alone was enough to make anybody hesitate.
This woman, whose body was carved for the gruesomeness of the battle, was to be your watchful knight, under oath to quash any harm that may arise.Â
A bitterness rose from the pit of your stomach to the back of your throat. Sworn protector. The words thrummed in your skull like jailer. It was clear from her unbroken gaze alone where her loyalties were placed, at the feet of your brother and your brother alone.
You were the first to break your eyes away, demurely, subtle but unerringly feminine, and more importantly, inferior. Your spine was straight, but you hung your head slightly, letting your eyes wander along the outline of lush greenery below. Your hands skimmed along the finery that swathed your body. You appeared reticent and meagre, but every minute movement was deliberate on your part, a dance in which you knew all the steps.
Her shadow of a presence was a setback, certainly, something to keep you at bay, but if you wove the right tale, spun an intricacy of honeyed words and laid syrupy sweetness upon her⌠this one, like any other, could be used, moulded and rolled like clay with the right pressure. All you had to do was locate a chink in her armour.Â
You gave a hesitant pause, counted to three, until you walked the expanse of the balcony, back into your quarters, the tinkling of weighty jewellery sounding with each step you took. Even closer, she appeared much more powerful, the jagged lines of her face schooled into sternness. The refusal to drop her gaze in the presence of her new lady sent a shiver down your spine.
âAbigail.â Your voice was gentle, the lulling of a flute. âI am grateful for your service. To my dear brother, of course, but especially to me.â You stepped closer to her, but remained at a polite distance, a benevolent smile gracing your lips.
Her face remained the same, but there was a slight quirk to her thick brows. She was used to doing bloody work for the King, but you could tell that she was unused to interacting with royalty. âMy loyalty is to the crown. I would do anything His Majesty asked of me, princess.â Ah, what a well trained response. As expected of one of the most renowned weapons in your brotherâs arsenal.
âYes, and it warms my heart.â You ensured your smile widened, your eyebrows softening in tandem with the lovely upward curve of your mouth. âI have heard stories of your bravery. To have such a hero protect myself alone⌠well, it feels rather a waste of talent, does it not?â
Her lips parted for a moment at the steer in conversation. You could see the hardness melting from her face like butter, replaced by an expression unreadable. It was too early to tell whether there was now a weakness to strike at, but it was better than talking to the righteous facade of her. âMy talents can be just as useful in the Royal Palace as they would be on the battlefield.â Her words were as certain as solid stone, unmoving in their conviction.
âSuch a noble heart you have.â You let the distance close between the two of you, then, your body just a few mere inches away from steel. Your hand met the one at her side, soft fingers grazing across leather, the cool hilt of her sword brushing against your knuckles. âBut you do not need to protect me. Guards swarm this palace, after all.â
You expected abashment, the averting of that steady, unbreakable gaze, but not so much as a twitch of her fingers was drawn out of her. Still, you pressed on, as a thumb circled a spot on her gloved hand. âYou would be better suited to attacking any threats at the root, dear knight. I could arrange you to be back where you once were. Not here, not with me.â
These lies, this faux flattery, left your tongue with the ease of second nature. You had none of the power you wished to possess, and you could not fulfil any such promise to her, but a few sweetened words could at least put you in her good favour, string her along for at least for a few moments outside of her obstructive gaze.
Something flashed across her features, but it was not the distant yearning for battle, not even the consideration of your hefty offer. You felt her thick fingers slip, gently, out of your grasp. Shock burst in your chest when her lips curled into a smile. Not completely unkind, but belittling all the same.
âThe way we view honour differs greatly, princess.â Her mouth shaped the words slowly, deliberately and they hung in the air like an accusation. The last of the sun filtered through the balcony, causing the stray hairs framing her face to shine gold, the dust of freckles on her cheeks to appear like a smattering of starlight. You were once again struck by the wondrous beauty of her, a blow to the ribs.Â
You urged the swell in your guts down hastily.
âIs it so dishonourable,â you started, choosing to focus instead on that same jagged ambition that ate away at you, âto desire glory for oneself?â
The eyes that you thought resembled a pristine shoreline now darkened with the implications of your question. You watched as the storm passed across her face, as the act of noble knight swallowed her whole once more.Â
âGlory means nothing if it is not for the sake of serving the King.â She finally averted her gaze to the rolling gardens below.Â
âOur King.â
𼸠𼸠đĽ¸
Thunder rippled across the charred night sky, the rain beating against the earth with the ferocity of a thousand rapid heartbeats. Your quarters burst white and fizzled with each lightning strike, and you could see the dozing face of Abigail each time. She laid, with one arm cradling the back of her head, in a cot at the foot of your bed, her golden-brown lashes long enough to cast wispy shadows on the apples of her cheeks under the inconsistent light. Even in her sleep, she seemed to be withholding herself from you, despite the stretch of days you had spent together thus far.
Beneath the writhing rage that clawed at your insides, you felt a soft pang, something faint and unfamiliar, for this woman. She was forced to live her days, in utter numbness, waiting for an attack on your life that would never come. She was here to intimidate you into compliance, at your brotherâs whims, and she was completely unaware of it. To be a pawn in such a twisted game unwittingly⌠It was cruel. But werenât you attempting to do the exact same? The hypocrisy was completely not lost on you.
You watched her sleeping figure for a few more moments until you were certain she was asleep. Then, soundlessly, you slipped out of the embrace of your bed. The air was cool but heavy with humidity as you walked on the balls of your bare feet, your nightgown brushing your ankles and sending an anxious tremble up your body. You tried to move as swiftly as you could. Your spies and confidants were loyal enough, but even they would not wait out the entire night for you when there was other work to be done at dawn.
An electric thrill jolted your being when you clasped the door handle. Was evading her watchful eye really so easy? Was all you had to do is slink around in the deep hours of dark? You bit down a smile as the heavy door gave way . Freedom, for a few mere minutes at least, was just beyond the doorâŚ
âMy Lady?â Something glacial hardened in your veins. The voice was hoarse with the remnants of slumber, but there was no doubting the razor-edge awareness of it.Â
For a beat, you were too stunned to face her. When you didnât turn, she spoke again. âPrincess, what are you doing out of bed?â
What was the safest way to avoid her suspicion? The crashing of thunder sliced through your thoughts like a knife, offering you an escape route on a silver platter.
You whorled around, your eyebrows high-strung. Abigail was sitting upright, her head tilted and her unbound blonde hair dripping over one shoulder. There was no armour covering the wide expanse of her chest, a rare exposure of bare collarbone and surprisingly soft skin. You would perhaps never get used to the sight.
You clutched the fabric of your nightgown and widened your eyes, fawn-frightened. âAbigail, IâŚâ you let your voice taper off into a quiver.
She was up in an instant and striding towards you, brows knitted together. Despite the urgency vibrating every cell in her body, her large hands cupped your shoulders with a gentleness you thought so disjointed for a woman of her size and profession. You doubted she would have touched you if it werenât for the haze of confusion that overpowered her usual meticulousness.Â
âWhat is the matter? Speak to me, princess.â
âI-itâs absurd, IâŚâ You trembled ever so slightly and could only pray that you were convincing. âThe storm⌠well, it frightened me. I apologise. You mustn't be used to such frivolity.â
The tautness of her bow-strung body seemed to drift away all at once. Her shoulders drooped and she smiled, this time a thing of pure relief. âIs that all that this is?â
You nodded once, pulling yourself inward more and silently thanking whichever god had just granted you quick wits. She tsked softly and brought you closer to her. The warmth of her body was comforting, as alive as the spark upon a coal.Â
âYou can wake me when youâre frightened, my lady,â she breathed out, her breath rustling the hair at your ear.Â
âI thoughtâ I didnât wish to burden you.â For once, there was a distasteful speck of truth in your words. She was a thing too gentle and straightforward for the ugliness of court politics. How could you ask her to help you usurp a throne she adamantly kneeled at the foot of?
âPrincess,â she sighed, her hands trailing from shoulder to elbow. âYour brother has tasked me to protect you.â A lie, and yet she believed it so wholeheartedly. A loyalty as steady as a heartbeat.
âYou cannot be a salve for every little thing that ails me.â
âThereâs a sort of protection in comfort, is there not?â Such naive words, ones a child could have spoken, but they rang throughout your entire being.
She was diluted ink in the dark of the storm, but the whites of her eyes and teeth shone with the sheen of pearl. Your lips parted, drinking in a shaky inhale. You should have kept playing the delicate flower in distress, but you were teetering on the edge of something dangerous and curious, a hunger that gnawed at the very marrow of your bones. A hunger that you had no choice but to satiate.
âAnd how do you intend to comfort me, dear knight?â
A moment of something heady passed, and you could practically see the churning of her mind, the weight of precariousness at her throat like a glinting blade. You knew then that the same starvation engulfed her own being, your hands slithering down to her wrists and clutching them.Â
âI would do whatever you ask of me, My Ladyââ
âNo,â you cut her off, tracing a sliver of puckered flesh that outlined her bare wrist. A quaint shiver wracked her shoulders at the abrupt stone of your voice, unbidden. âNo, Abigail. How do you wish to comfort me? Speak plainly.â
âI wantâŚâ Her voice was strained, the word leaden and fumbling on her tongue, her own will now foreign to her. Her hands tightened around your elbows. âWhat I want⌠what I desire, is not so easily spoken, princess.âÂ
Even in the dark, her eyes were the bottomless wells of a carefully guarded vulnerability. You wanted to chip away at that wall she had between you and her, between anyone but her fiery devotion and her own self.
You cupped her cheeks with the soft, uncalloused palms of your hands, watched as her reluctance dissolved with the touch.Â
âThen show me.âÂ
Perhaps all that was needed was an uttered confirmation that you felt the same infuriating emotions. You had torn through the neat little bow of restraint that kept her being together, and now it was uncontainable, this ever-swelling.
There was a moment of hesitation, shared breath mingling sweetly, before she pressed her lips to yours. She cradled your waist as if you were porcelain, but her kiss was a beast of want, all teeth and tongue. Your back melded with the carvings of the door as she nudged you back, wooden jasmine blossoms and orchids keeping you tethered to the moment. You kissed back with just as much viciousness, astonished by your own affections welling up like crimson from a finger pricked.
It was with the ebb and flow of ocean waves that she let you go just as promptly as she had kissed you, her face a hazy mass of surprise in the semi-dark, leaving only the remnant of her warmth against your skin, the phantom of soft lips and tongue.
Her fingers scraped her blonde locks away from her face, chest heaving.Â
âPrincess,â she spoke through the ragged edge of her breath. There was a singed quality to her voice, raw and crisp. âPrincess, it would be improper to continue.â
Disappointment, to your dismay, pooled in the pit of your stomach. You turned your head to the side and gave a feeble nod, swallowing at the thick knot lodged in your throat. Letting her warm your bed would be unwise, you reminded yourself now. It would serve no purpose to your goals, and a lovesick knight trailing you around was the last thing you needed. And yet...Â
âWe cannot cross that line,â she whispered. You felt the gentle snaking of arms around yours as you were pulled close to her chest, your ear snug against it. âBut I am still here.â Her heartbeat was hummingbird-rapid, a reflection of your own.
She led you back to the bed and watched intently as you laid down beneath the smooth blanket. You stared in return. How was a person sharpened for such luridness able to wield tenderness the way she did a weapon? It was more frightening, you silently mused, than any tale of her violence could offer. It did little to divert the ache that seeped to your very bones, the craving for it.
Lightning still ruptured the heavens, followed dismally by a cacophony of thunder.
âAbigail.â Your hand drifted into the air, toward her. She held it gently in both of hers.
âAre you still frightened?â
Your plan for the night had been uprooted, and you had no choice but to remain here in this room. You traced each feature of hers with your eyes, lingering on the worrisome crease of her brow. Perhaps⌠âYes, a little.â
Perhaps, this once, sweet selfishness was justified. Perhaps you could let this sordid business of trickery and usurpation float from your mind. This onceâŚ
âWill you lay beside me?â You sat up, peeling the blanket aside. âIt would help me a great deal.â
âMy ladyâŚâ
âInnocently, of course,â you reassured. âTo know someone is beside me, to share that warmth⌠it would ease my nerves greatly.â
A beat passed, then another. âI think⌠It's something I also need. For tonight.â
âFor tonight,â you echoed, patting the empty space of the bed next you.Â
She clambered in beside you without another word, a slow exhale escaping her when her head softly hit the pillow. You could feel her breath fan over your face gently, followed by a soothing, steady hand on your arm.
âWill you hold me?â There was a waver in your cadence, something unbearably soft puckering to the surface. âIs that okay?â
You were encircled by her arms, so gently that you felt, something swirl inside of you, just to then sink.Â
Consciousness left her almost instantly at the feel of your body against hers. The comfort of someone to hold in the eternal stretch of night elleviated the quiet ache that thrummed and tugged at her own being.Â
You listened as she slipped into a deep, dreamless sleep, until the sky stopped its tears and the only sound that could be heard was the rhythmic thump, thump, thump of her heart at your ear.
𼸠𼸠đĽ¸
The marble was icy beneath the soles of your feet, each footfall echoing softly through the desolate, cavernous halls. The lanterns flickered low, the walls cast in leaping, ravenous shadows.Â
Wait for me at the entrance to the orchard, you had told your spy, an inconspicuous place for business made in the night, but as you reached the intricately designed archway, you were met with the absence of the living. The sharp smell of damp earth and overripe fruit wafted through the open space, yet it did little to calm the eerie feeling in your blood.Â
Perhaps you were too late, or perhaps she had appeared conspicuous. A fist of disappointment twisted at your gut, but relief flooded your veins with it. There was silence, at least. Stagnance was a better ordeal than disruption. You turned away from the trees, feet almost silent without the usual finery adorning your ankles.
A whisper against the precious stone. Something scratching and picoting, until you felt the brush of it at your leg. Frozen, you peered at what had touched you. A piece of flimsy paper, the uncertain handwriting that you had come to know so well. Between the looping letters of secret after secret unfurled, vermillion stained the thin sheet. Vibrant. Fresh.
A man at the very first tree, the shimmer of the whites of his eyes furious and expansive. You knew this face, these pompous clothes, the cruel, all-knowing scowl on his lips. Your brotherâs confidant and his closest advisor. If this man could stretch himself as thin as a carpet to soften your brotherâs steps, he would have.
His movements were rigid, yet quick as he lunged in your direction, teeth bared and motivated by his sweltering rage alone. His cheek was streaked with the same shade of red.
âYou treasonous whore!â He swiped his hands at you, but you scrambled away at the very last moment. âTraitor!â
âMy Lordââ Your heart thrusted against your ribcage, your breath coming out in uneven, shattering breaths. There was no cajoling such a blind beast. His voice was much too loud, his body propelled by something untethered to reason.
You were going to be found out. He had the evidence and his screams were enough to alert any guards patrolling the slumbering palace. You had to do something, you had toâ
He lunged forward again, forceful yet sloppy. Your body began to react on its own accord.
The blade was an ugly little thing, stolen from beneath Abigailâs pillow weeks ago and fastened in a makeshift sheath of torn silk and ribbon, held steadily enough by a bangle at your wrist. It was in your hand, slipping from the snugness of the material and clanging against the jewellery with the same delicate ring of anklet bells chiming in the midst of dance and song. A song of retribution, thrumming, awake and unabated, in your veins.
The moment was a blur, the contact of iron to skin one you could not even comprehend until a surprised, wet sound bubbled forth from the noblemanâs lips. He slumped forward against the blade, his eyes glassy. Lifeblood trickled down the hilt of the blade and down your fingers. The warmth of it made your stomach churn.Â
Before you could pull the blade out, he swayed to the side, toppling to the ground with a sickening thump. Crimson bled across the stark white of the floor, pooling beneath his now motionless body.
The bile of pure panic rose to your throat, face leached of warmth. What have I done? What have I done? What have Iâ
âPrincess?â A voice of honeycomb, even when it wavered with such uncertainty.
No.
You stared ahead, the bulky outline of her blurring only to refocus as she got closer. There was a look that had never graced her face before, one of confusion mixed with something akin to horror. Had she known this man? Taken orders from him?
But she did not look down at the grim image at her feet, but rather at you. Your stained fingers, the way your face had grown ashen and fear-stricken.
Her fingers ghosted over your cheek, but stopped short of making contact. âWhatâŚâ You could hear the thoughts that knotted in her mind. How could such a sweet thing â you â do this?
A shout sounded down the hall, and you flinched, eyes darting in the direction as a new wave of bone-rattling fear crashed down upon you. There was a clamour, the sound of swords against urgently moving legs.Â
Abigail pulled her hand away from you as if seared. Hardness seeped into the cracks where her moment of bare emotion shone. A moment ticked by, voices growing closer.
With a flash of movement, she yanked the blade out of the lifeless body beside her, a sickening squelch that did not seem to rattle her, and turned her back on you. Surely she had to be more selfish than this?
âAbigailââ
âBe silent and stay behind me.â
Your voice sank down into an urgent whisper. âYour recklessness is going to get you killed.â
Her head turned toward you then, her gaze meeting yours. Blue flame, a flicker of pure torment.Â
âYou have already made me your accomplice.â They should have been sweet, simple words, but they held the acrid tang of rotting fruit, bitter and wilting despite their saccharine nature.
They were encircling you in an instant, guards wearing the colours of the sun and the moon. Their swords were raised, but they waited for somethingâŚ
The guards parted, roiling ocean waves. You watched as your brother stepped his way to the front, head held high.
Without a single word, Abigail dropped to her knees, the blade clanging against the floor and skidding away from her to rest at his feet.
Your brother did not spare her a glance. His eyes pinned you in place, cold and measured. He did not ask about the commotion or point grieving eyes towards his closest advisor. No, he already decided on what truth in this he would spin and alter in order to squash you beneath his bejewelled hand.Â
As he stared you down, you gazed at the back of Abigailâs neck, peach-toned skin peaking beneath the cascade of blonde waves over her shoulders. You wanted to reach out, to touch her one last time if only to bid farewell.
Such a rotten heart you had. You felt it thump mournfully, greed winning out in the end.Â
Your lips remained tightly locked as she took the fall for your turpitude, an act of the foulest betrayal.
As you watched them drag her away, you may as well have been clapping the chains around her wrists yourself.Â
Who knew that even a blade of the soul could be double-edged?

Fire on Fire Part. 3
Aegon Targaryen x Reader
Description: Aegon made a promise to his niece 6 years ago that he would marry her. Separated by distance and the passage of time, Aegon still intends to keep his promise to the only girl he ever loved. When Rhaenyra returns with her children to King's Landing, Aegon hopes to get Y/N to fall in love with him all over again but quickly learns her heart may not be so easily won. So ensues an elaborate game of cat and mouse which Aegon is determined to win.
Previous part Dividers by @zaldritzosrose
Writer's note: Hiiiii! I'd recommend reading the previous 2 parts for context of when they were teenagers but you could probably read this as a standalone. There will be future parts. I've played around with time, so Rhaenyra and her kids spend around a week at KL before the events of Lord of the Tides.
Warnings: female reader with Targaryen features, targcest (uncle and niece), sexual innuendo, Aegon being fairly toxic and possessive at points. Childhood friends to lovers to enemies to lovers vibes. Aged up characters. Will be canon divergent. Aegon isn't a rapist in this because if Ryan Condal can write fanfiction, so can I.
The sky looked just as it had when he'd watched Y/N disappear into it on her dragon 6 years ago. Standing at the entrance to the Red Keep, in the same spot he had that very day, Aegon could almost pretend that no time had passed at all until he saw her step out of the carriage behind her mother, his sister. And it felt as if the breath had been knocked out of him. She was still Y/N, with the same silver hair that shone like a thousand glittering stars and the singular beauty he could only describe as cutting. But she was more mature now, her features more defined, a woman rather than the girl he had known and loved. He was much changed, too, and he wondered for a moment if Y/N would even recognise him now. But she was not even looking at him. Her lilac eyes were trained upon his brother Aemond, fixing upon the eye patch that concealed his scar. Don't look at him, Aegon thought. Look at me. And that same possessiveness he'd long held towards Y/N, for as long as he could remember, simmered to the surface.
As if he'd called her name, her eyes met his, widening slightly in recognition. The world around them seemed to fade away as they stood gazing at one another, and Aegon felt an uncontrollable need to be close to her suddenly. He wanted to touch her face, trace its contours, and measure the passage of time in their subtle changes. He wanted to pull her to him and wrap his arms around her, to press her body against his and see if it still felt like something inevitable and completely right. He wanted to kiss her and see if those lips that could speak such cold words could still feel like fire against his. But most of all, he wanted to talk to her, to hear her speak his name again, to hear her say anything. Y/N had been the first and last person to truly understand him. They had always been one in the same, and he wanted so badly to feel that familiarity once again. A sharp pain in his ribs jolted him out of his stupor as Aemond not so subtly jabbed him in his side.
"Aegon, won't you greet our guests?" His mother's voice sounded terse and strained. She must have tried to get his attention several times before he'd heard her.
Hands clasped behind his back he inclined his head towards Rhaenyra first.
"It's good to see you again, sister, nephews."
And it was. A part of him had always wanted to be close to his elder sister, though the tense relations between his mother and Rhaenyra had rendered this but a wistful dream. And he'd had a close friendship with Jacaerys in childhood. Though, any residual affection he had could not extend to Lucerys. He'd cost his own brother his eye, and Aegon had long blamed the boy for his separation from Y/N. He turned to his niece again, once more finding himself lost in the depth of her eyes.
"Niece." It was almost embarrassing how tender the appellation sounded in his mouth, and Aegon knew this had not been lost on those around him for he could see Aemond wince out of the corner of his eye.
"Uncle." By contrast, Y/N's voice was cold and devoid of any emotion, her gaze steely. Aegon's heart plummeted. He'd expected her anger might have waned in the 6 years they'd been apart, that she might have missed him as he had her, though perhaps not as acutely. He'd been quite certain that he'd loved her a great deal more than she loved him. But he still remembered the promise he had made to her on that fateful day at Driftmark when he'd taken her first kiss. He had said that he would marry her one day. Aegon intended to keep this promise and vye for her heart all over again. He had wanted one girl and one girl only his whole life and if she were still a little angry with him he was prepared to weather the storm, to take her ire in his stride and forge a path back into her heart. With renewed determination, he quirked his lips up at Y/N in a smile that was full of intention. He couldn't feel too sorry to have her frown back at him. She'd always been particularly beautiful to him when angry, blazing with an intensity only the stars could manage.
At supper, he noted that Y/N took up her old spot opposite him as if by habit. Though she said but little, and nothing at all to him, he had observed a slight pinkening of her cheeks as he'd continued to try and catch her eye all evening, prompting a satisfied smirk from him which she seemed to bristle at, steadfastly avoiding his gaze from then on. It seemed his niece was determined to play hard to get. Aegon was all too willing to accept the challenge, thoughts whirring in his mind of how best to get Y/N alone so she would have to speak to him.
Aegon was up earlier than he thought he'd ever been in his life, dressing quickly before the sun had even risen. He paced the floors of his chambers in nervous anticipation until he saw the first pinpricks of sunlight break through the blanket of the early morning sky. Then, he briskly walked to his niece's old chambers, where she'd happily been installed once again, much to his pleasure since it was but a short distance from his own.
He leant against the wall beside her door, preparing to wait for her until she emerged to break her fast. She couldn't very well deny him her company if he just happened to be in the vicinity of her chambers and offered her his arm to walk her to the morning room. He jumped slightly as her door opened with a soft click, having become lost in his thoughts as he waited. Lost in thoughts of her in truth, of what dress she might wear, of how her maids might have arranged her hair, and how she might react to his being right outside her chambers. The reality was far from what he had pictured, her eyebrows pulling together and her expression taking on a blackness he misliked. He'd always been good at reading her emotions, for she always wore them on her sleeve around him. This emptiness was unnerving to him.
"Good morrow, uncle."
Aegon tried not to be ruffled by her indifferent tone, only investing his own with more energy.
"Good morrow, Y/N. I thought we might head to the morning room together. My mother and sister would be pleased to break their fast with you there." He didn't rightly know whether they would. He didn't care, but it wasn't a bad ruse.
Holding his arm out to her in invitation and drawing up the most charming smile he could muster, Aegon silently pleaded with her to take his arm.
"Please offer them my apologies. I don't much like to eat early in the morning. Besides, my mother has requested my presence in her chambers."
Aegon's face fell, his arm dropping back to his side limply as he watched Y/N speed down the hallway away from him. She was lying, that much he knew. She simply didn't want to be in his presence, and that knowledge sent a jolt of pain through him. For the first time, Aegon considered that he might not be able to win Y/N back. Perhaps he'd been foolish to think they could start right where they'd left off, despite their estrangement of 6 years. He realised that in trying to protect his mother and brother at Driftmark, and in so doing inadvertently call Y/N a bastard, he might just have lost her for good. It didn't help that she'd returned in the first place to reaffirm Lucery's right to Driftmark once the Sea Snake passed. But he couldn't believe that. He couldn't give up on her, not without a fight. They'd played many games as children. Now, they would simply play another. If Y/N wanted a game of cat and mouse, then he would be obliging.
"Just the princess I was looking for."
Aegon smirked as Y/N nearly dropped the book she was holding. The clever minx probably thought it unlikely he should find her in here. But she must have forgotten all of the times he'd sought her out in the library in their youth, when he'd first realised he was in love with her and would have done anything to be at her side. His mind wandered to the feeling of her hand running through his hair as she'd read.
"What for?" It took Aegon a moment to understand what she was asking, though he quickly shook himself out of his reverie. He was hardly going to win Y/N over if he continued to just stare at her stupidly.
"I was hoping to get your recommendations on some reading material." At her look of incredulity, he slowly moved towards her. As he got closer, he noticed her taking minute steps backwards, her back hitting the bookshelf behind her as he came to a stop right in front of her.
"You? You want to read a book."
Aegon smirked at her.
"Don't look so surprised. I read to you once, didn't I?"
As if by fate he spotted the familiar spine of the book he'd once read aloud to her when she was overcome by a wave of seasickness and barely able to keep her eyes open. His voice had lulled her into a peaceful sleep.
Placing one hand on the bookshelf on one side of her as if to steady himself, he reached across her body with his other arm to grab the book, effectively encasing her in his arms. At her sharp intake of breath he smiled to himself, presenting the book to her innocently.
Y/N sounded a little breathless as she spoke.
"You remember?"
Aegon stepped closer, shifting his hand so that his fingers just grazed her bodice. He spoke so lowly she couldn't have heard him had he not lowered his head until theirs were nearly touching.
"I remember everything."
Y/N only stared at him with wide eyes at first, but he caught her gaze flicker briefly to his lips. Experimentally, he trailed his fingers down her side. A feather light touch, he didn't want to push his luck. And then she was stepping away from him, turning to the opposite book case and grabbing a thick and dusty book, which she promptly shoved against his chest.
"I think you'll like this one better."
And with that, she was scurrying away from him once again, her footsteps echoing against the stone floor of the library as she fled.
Looking down at the red tome in his hands, Aegon laughed. No one had been able to exact such a genuine sound from him in years.
Of course, she'd hand him the Book of Holy Prayer. Gods only knew what tales she'd heard of him to think he'd have need of such a thing. He placed it back in its rightful place on the shelf, he reclaimed the romantic novel he'd dropped as Y/N had forcibly shoved his arm away from her. As he left the library, the book under his arm, he winked at the maester, who'd just entered holding a bundle of scrolls. It had likely given the poor old fellow quite a fright to see Aegon of all people coming from the library, more still with a book tucked under his arm.
Perusing the novel that afternoon gave Aegon an idea of how he could convince Y/N to spend some time with him. He thought in time she might come to appreciate the deviousness of it. As they sat opposite each other at supper once again he addressed her directly.
"Y/N, I wondered if you might play a game of Cyvasse with me on the morrow. We used to enjoy playing together as children and I can have a board set up."
He caught Y/N exchanging a glance with Rhaenyra before turning back to him.
"I apologise, uncle. But I don't remember the rules."
Aegon's smile only grew at her refusal. He'd anticipated as much.
"I'd be more than happy to catch you up to speed."
Another curious look at her mother prompted Aegon to think she might actually be asking for her permission. It was evidently denied.
"Alas, I don't think I'll have any free time for games tomorrow. But thank you for the kind offer, uncle."
Time to put his plan into action, Aegon thought.
Lowering his voice and leaning across the table so no one else could hear him, he played his card.
"Y/N I'm starting to think you don't want to spend time with me. In which case I might be forced to recite some passages from one of your romance novels as this evening's entertainment."
His threat seemed to have had the desired effect as she gawped at him, mouth hanging open like a fish. Though a very comely fish, Aegon thought. The novel didn't have anything too damning in its pages, but it did contain a few rather silly passages he was sure Y/N would rather not be aired publicly.
She whispered through gritted teeth.
"You wouldn't dare."
Aegon smirked.
"Oh, I would." He started to rise from his seat as if to address the rest of the family sat around the dinner table before she promptly stomped on his foot under the table.
He hissed in pain, glaring at her.
"Seven hells Y/N."
The raucous they were making had earned them several looks from his mother, and sister, but they quickly returned to their conversations as he smiled blithely back at them.
"I'll play a game with you if you keep your mouth shut. OK?"
Aegon smiled brightly at Y/N's acceptance of spending time with him.
"Excellent, that wasn't so hard was it? I'll come by your chambers tomorrow to get you."
Y/N glared at him the rest of the night, seemingly trying to scorch him and turn him to cinders beneath her gaze. Aegon was simply pleased to have her full and undivided attention on himself. She wasn't looking at his brother now. She was looking at him.
Aegon thought Y/N remembered the rules of Cyvasse pretty well, considering she was currently sat across from him and thrashing him. What had looked like a small victory for him had quickly turned sour as he glumly looked a the board.
Y/N was comparatively gleeful, with a self-satisfied look gracing her features.
"The rules seem to have come back to you, niece."
Taking another one nof his castles, Y/N leant back and smiled broadly at him.
"I think you're just bad at this game, uncle. Your problem is that you never have a strategy."
Aegon's hand hovered over the board as he considered his next move, but he looked across it into her eyes at her assumption.
"You'd be surprised. I'd say I have a pretty clear idea of what I want and what I have to do to get it."
His mouth upturned as he saw her swallow down a retort.
He gasped suddenly, pointing behind her at nothing at all. As she whipped her head around he quickly reached across the table separating them and made a grab for her trebuchet piece, concealing it within a closed fist. She turned back towards him with an air of suspicion, looking from him to the board and back to him again as he presumed an air of innocence.
"Ah, perhaps I was mistaken. I thought I saw..."
"What piece have you taken, Aegon?"
He grinned at her. That was the first time she'd said his name since she'd arrived.
He presented the piece to her, quickly retracting it when she made a grab for it.
"I'll give it back to you if you give me something I want in return."
Y/N narrowed her eyes at him. He knew she was too competitive to abandon a game mid-play. She'd want to see it through and so she'd humour his request.
"What do you want?"
Aegon leant towards her, so close her breath was fanning his face as she followed his movements. He raised his free hand to curl a tendril of her hair around his fingers.
"I want you to take a stroll in the garden with me on the morrow." It seemed like the type of thing lovers would do in Aegon's mind, at least the type of lovers he'd read about in Y/N's books. So he thought she might like it. He wanted to do all of the things that happened in her books with her, if that was the type of love she sought. If she'd only let him.
Y/N let out a shuddering breath as if she'd been holding it waiting to hear what he'd request.
"Is that all?"
With a final stroke of her hair he dropped his hand and leant back in his chair.
"That's all."
"No."
Aegon quirked his eyebrow up, not having expected her refusal to such an innocent request.
"No?"
"I don't trust you. You're playing some game."
Aegon smiled coyly at her, weaving the piece he'd taken from her between his fingers.
"I thought we were both playing a game, my dear niece."
He didn't mean Cyvasse, and he didn't think she thought he did either.
With an agility he hadn't known she'd possessed, Y/N made a quick grab for the piece that was almost successful, though he pulled it back out of her reach.
"Give it to me, Aegon."
Ah, there you are, Aegon thought. That was his fierce girl, half savage and half his.
He reclined nonchalantly back in his seat.
"Come and get it then."
Her irritation with him plain to see on her face, Y/N rose and moved around the table to stand before him with her hand outstretched expectantly.
Aegon placed the trebuchet piece in her hand before quickly enclosing his hand over Y/N's and yanking her towards him. Not expecting his ruse, she fell into his lap with a shriek, and he quickly entrapped her in his arms. He grinned at her devilishly, more than a little pleased with this turn of events.
Y/N pushed against his hold, huffing in frustration as he didn't move an inch.
"Let me up, you swine."
"Only if you promise to go on a stroll with me."
Y/N glared at him wordlessly, though she stopped struggling, seeing it was futile.
Aegon tutted at her. "I'm quite comfortable like this and don't think I'll have any desire to move anytime soon. If you want your freedom, you'll have to give me what I want, I'm afraid. Is spending time with me really such an awful prospect?" He couldn't help the tinge of insecurity that came through in his words. Did she really hate him that much?
But it seemed to be that note which finally struck a chord with Y/N. Sighing with resignation and relaxing against him, Y/N looked at him sternly.
"Fine, but I will hurt you if you try to ravish me behind some bushes. I've heard about your reputation."
Aegon felt a levity in his heart again. He could see the smile Y/N was trying to conceal, hear the jest in her words.
"Oh darling, I wouldn't dream of it." He would. He definitely had. But he wouldn't tell her that. Instead, he finally released her from the cage of his arms and let her stand up, though he immediately bemoaned the loss of her.
Aegon had quickly captured Y/N's arm and wrapped it around his, firmly tucking her arm in the crook of his elbow as soon as he'd seen her enter the garden. He'd been worried for a short while that she wouldn't come at all. But there she was, utterly resplendent in the morning sunlight.
"Come then, Y/N. Tell me what you've been up to in Dragonstone these past 6 years."
Y/N looked up at him quizically.
"What do you want to know?"
Aegon responded immediately.
"Anything. Everything. Just talk to me."
And, finally, she did. Aegon didn't care if it was minutes or hours or days that passed because Y/N was speaking to him, laughing with him again, just as she had when they were children together. Everything was going a little too well, however, for Aegon was too busy staring at Y/N to realise he was walking them into a path of rose bushes. Evidently, she was too busy staring at him to notice either, giving Aegon only a few seconds to grab hold of her and turn her towards him before she fell into it. Regrettably, the rapidity at which he'd turned her had caused her dress to fan out and get caught in the thorns.
"Oh bother." Y/N had sighed exasperatedly, reaching down to untangle herself before Aegon had stopped her and crouched down himself.
"Allow me." This seemed like the sort of thing a romantic interest would do for his beloved in a novel. Aegon remembered Y/N had always like the part where the knight rescued the princess best.
To his surprise, Y/N only started swatting at him frantically.
"Aegon, get up. If anyone were to come across us and see you under my skirts, they'll think.."
"What? Oh, no I don't care if they think that."
"Aegon!"
"I'm just joking. You're being ridiculous. Anyway, I'll be quick."
He paused, unable to resist teasing her a little more when she was blushing so deliciously.
"But, if we were doing what you think your imaginary spectators would think we were doing, then..."
She grabbed a chunk of his hair suddenly, giving it a threatening tug.
"Aegon, I swear if you finish that sentence I'm going to shove your face in that rose bush."
He chuckled, happy enough to have her fingers in his hair. He redirected his focus back to the matter at hand, though her constant shifting made it increasingly difficult to concentrate.
"Stop squirming."
"I can't keep my balance."
Aegon pretended to sigh exasperatedly whilst hiding his smile. He patted his shoulder in invitation.
"Fine then, just sit on my shoulder while I do this." He could see Y/N looked sceptical at first, but she perched tentatively on his shoulder after a few moments, her hand resting on his back to support her.
The soft tread of footsteps had the both of them snapping their heads up to see Aemond turn the bend. He halted in his steps upon seeing them, although he quickly turned back in the opposite direction, his lips turned upwards in a smirk that seemed to say this was exactly the position he'd expect to find them in.
Y/N threw her hands up.
"Perfect."
Aegon reached up from detangling her skirts to pat her thigh reassuringly.
"Not to worry, my sweet. No one would expect you to throw your lot in with me."
She slapped his hand away, eyes narrowed.
"I'm not your sweet."
Aegon simply smirked at her.
"You're right. I do prefer you venomous."
Seeing that he'd left her speechless for once, he turned back to the thorn bush and, with one final tug, successfully untangled Y/N's skirts. He couldn't save the mesh, which was torn in several places.
Rising from his crouch, he didn't expect to see such a forlorn and despairing look on Y/N's face as she stared at her torn dress. He felt a jolt of panic rush through him that he'd actually offended her with his teasing, frightened her even...
"Y/N, look, I'm sorry if I upset you or frightened you. I was only teasing."
She waved away his apology, pointing towards her skirts.
"No, I'm used to you. It's my dress. The mesh is hard to come by and it was my absolute favourite."
Aegon immediately regretted not being even more careful, hating to have upset Y/N by ruining her dress.
"I'm so sorry Y/N. Can't it be mended?"
She shook her head softly, looking up at him with a smile devoid of any malice or sarcasm.
"I don't think so. But it's just a dress after all. Thank you for helping me, Aegon."
He bowed his head respectfully as she passed by him.
"Of course."
Aegon watched after her as she disappeared into the walls of the Keep. The dress clearly did matter to her, and so it mattered to him. In the hopes of remedying his error, the Prince went in search of the Keep's seamstress.
Viserys hadn't been best pleased to learn that whilst he was confined to his sick bed, Queen Alicent had not arranged for a banquet to be held in Rhaenyra's honour. This was an oversight he commanded her to resolve quickly. Thus, it was that in a few days hence the family would host a banquet with all the most important nobles in attendance. The whole affair seemed rather farcical to Aegon since this was hardly a friendly visit, with the succession to Driftmark hanging in the balance. He only hoped that the dress he had requested to be made for Y/N would be ready in time. The Keep's seamstress had assured him she would be able to get hold of the same diaphanous mesh material of the one he'd inadvertently torn. Aegon was anxious to please Y/N, to give her a reason to consider him again as a suitor for her hand. He had little doubt his mother and Rhaenyra would be steadfastly opposed to such a match for that had been the case when they were adolescents. But he wouldn't allow their petty arguments to keep him and Y/N apart any longer...provided Y/N felt the same. She seemed increasingly amenable to his advances, taking his arm when offered and allowing him to lead her to meals, and her manner was much warmer and familiar when they talked now than it had been only a few days ago. But he could tell there was still something amiss, a wall she had built up between them he was determined to break down.
On the morning of the banquet, the seamstress knocked on Aegon's door to show him Y/N's completed dress. He was satisfied with the outcome, the material was just as grand as her previous dress had been. He only hoped she'd think so, too, once she saw it. Perhaps she would even wear it later that evening. Before sending the seamstress off to Y/N's quarters with the dress, he quickly scribbled a note to his niece.
Quelos,
Please accept this dress as a replacement for the one I tore in the rose garden, along with my sincere apology. The material is as close a replica of your favourite gown as I could procure. I hope it will still please you and that you will wear it tonight at the banquet.
Aegon
Aegon had already drunk several cups of wine by the time Y/N entered the banquet hall, though it was her elegance and refined beauty that sent him stumbling back a pace rather than the alcohol. She was wearing the dress, and it fit her perfectly, swirling in burgundy pools of fabric around her with the intricately woven black mesh over the top. Returning his gaze to her face, he jolted slightly to see that she was already looking at him too and smiling softly. He felt himself smile back at her by reflex though as soon as he took a step towards her, his mother was calling for all the guests in attendance to take their seats. He made a beeline for the seat next to Y/N, roughly shoving Jacaerys aside and ignoring his cry of indignation.
Aegon heard Y/N trying to conceal a giggle with a cough, and smirked at her as he sat down. He turned to face her, leaning against his hand. "I take it you like my gift then?" Aegon was aiming for mild interest but he was genuinely curious to know what she thought of it. Smoothing the material out on her skirts, Y/N smiled brightly at him.
"I think it is very beautiful. Thank you. You didn't have to."
Aegon leaned further towards her.
"I wanted to."
The evening passed surprisingly pleasantly. Though Aegon didn't know if that was just because he was so preoccupied with trying to make Y/N laugh. He'd earned a pretty endearing snort from her with his impression of Lord Beesbury, much to her embarrassment. Though he did notice her continually glancing at his cup as he allowed a servant to fill it multiple times throughout the night. He normally needed to be drunk to get through these sorts of things, but Y/N's company made him want to stay sober, so he turned his goblet upside-down on the table, stopping a servant from filling it again. Y/N looked at him in surprise, her eyebrow quirked up. Aegon simply shrugged at her, though his ears perked up at something Rhaenyra had said at the other end of the table to his mother.
"The betrothal is all but arranged. There is just the matter of..."
Aegon's heart was thrumming in his ears, cold dread filling him. She couldn't mean Y/N? But the way Y/N was looking sheepishly down at her plate and refusing to meet his eyes all but confirmed it.
"Are you to be married?" Aegon could barely repress the rage he felt, gritting his words out.
Y/N nodded almost imperceptibly.
"Yes." By the sound of it, she wasn't too pleased about the arrangement either. Aegon grabbed Y/N's hand and pulled her up, ignoring her shocked expression, and he dragged her along with him to the centre of the banquet hall, where a dance was just about to begin.
"Dance with me." It wasn't a request. The time for patience was long passed. Aegon wasn't going to let Y/N slip away from him again to marry some other priggish Lord. He pulled her close to him, speaking lowly with anger lacing his voice.
"When were you going to tell me you were betrothed?"
Y/N looked surprised by his animosity.
"I didn't think it would matter to you. From what I've heard there are many other girls who've taken your interest since I left."
Aegon bristled. She didn't think it would matter to him.
"And we're you jealous? Like I was when you flirted with other lords and knights?"
"No, we no longer have any claims over one another. You can do as you please."
Aegon gripped her waist tighter.
"How can you say that? Is your heart still so hardened to me after what happened at Driftmark that you are blind to how I have pursued you ever since you returned? I apologised for what I said, sent you letters explaining why I had to say it. And you didn't reply to a single one." Aegon's voice was raw, thick with desperation. Y/N stared up at him in confusion.
"You sent me letters? I never received them."
Aegon felt his heart plummet. He had thought her lack of response meant that she hated him. To know she hadn't even read them was just as upsetting.
Aegon loosened his grip, holding her more gently.
"Then you don't know?"
"Know what, Aegon?"
"That I love you. I never stopped."
Y/N took a sharp intake of breath, searching his eyes for the truth in them, he thought. Then her gaze hardened again.
"I apologise if I have given you a false impression, uncle. But I am betrothed. I'm tired now, I think I'll retire for the evening."
Aegon was stunned by her coldness, her harshness after he poured his heart out to her. He was stunned only a short while before he shook himself out of his despondency. No, he didn't believe she no longer felt for him, and he wouldn't allow her to marry another man if there was any possibility of her returning his feelings. He followed her back to her chambers, not bothering to knock before letting himself in. Y/N jumped at the sound of the door opening, looking at him like he had three heads.
"What in the Seven Hells, Aegon! You can't be in here. Someone will see you."
Aegon shut the door behind him.
"I don't care. I need to know if you love him. That fool you said you're set to marry
Y/N shifted uncomfortably.
"I... like him. We like each other."
Aegon took broad steps towards her, stopping only when they were a hair's breadth from one another and placing a hand on her waist possessively.
"Like? Is that all you wish for, to be liked? You deserve to be passionately desired and fiercely loved."Â He tightened his hold on her for emphasis.
"It doesn't matter what I want. Mother has arranged it."
Aegon frowned.
"Of course it matters."
Y/n placed a hand on his chest to push him lightly away from her.
"What do you want from me Aegon?"
Aegon smiled sadly at her.
"You have to ask?"
Y/N shut her eyes briefly before fixing him with the full force of her gaze, which had long had the ability to bring him to his knees.
"We can't relive the past. Even if I wanted to. It's just too late." All Aegon could hear was that there was a part of her, however small that part might be, that still felt that frenetic energy between them. That wanted him too.
"I think we can. Maybe you'll fall in love with me all over again, if you give me a chance."Â
Y/N's eyes lit with something he couldn't place before immediately dulling into that blank mask of indifference he'd come to hate.
"Too much has happened. I think you should leave, Aegon"
Aegon grasped desperately at a reason to get her to just listen to him.
"Quelos, please." Her head snapped up, eyes locking with his. In them, a tenderness he'd not seen in years. He nearly sighed with relief at the sight of it.
"No one else calls me that."
Aegon approached her again, though he did not touch her this time.
"You are very like a star. In it's beauty and light. In is cold indifference and untouchable distance from mere mortals like me."Â
"I'm not indifferent to you." Y/N's reply was so instantaneous he scarcely caught it.
"What?"
"I said I'm not indifferent to you." Y/N was looking at him with such an affectionate expression, Aegon felt his heart was fit to burst. This was as close as she'd come to admitting she still held any feelings for him other than resentment at all.
"That's good. Because I find myself quite often overwhelmed with how much I feel for you. I always have an excruciating need to be near you. To talk to you, even when I have nothing to say. I think I have wished for you and nothing but you my whole life."Â He whispered the last, as if fearing that voicing his confession any louder would shatter this fragile understanding between them.
He hadn't realised how close he'd come towards Y/N, if he leant forward only a little their lips would touch. He also hadn't realised she was clutching his tunic, pulling him towards her even when she was trying so desperately to send him away.
"Are you telling the truth?" And for once Y/N looked insecure. Had she thought his feelings a lie after Driftmark or had she thought they would change?
"Yes, nuha quelos."
Her eyes widened. He'd never called her "his star" before.
Caught up in her beauty and the growing suspicion she might just feel the same for him, he made to kiss her only to have his head snap back violently when she slapped him.
"Seven hells! What are you? Dragon or girl?"
Holding his throbbing cheek, he relented in his anger as he looked up to see Y/N holding a hand over her mouth, her eyes alight with fear. He softened his voice, dropping his hand from his face so she didn't think she'd seriously hurt him.
"It's alright, Y/N. That was my fault. If you don't want me to kiss you, then I won't."
"But I did want you to kiss me."
Aegon blanked, then threw his hands up in confusion.
"Then why did you slap me, you infuriating woman?"
Y/N shuffled towards him sheepishly, tentatively raising a hand to stroke the red mark she'd left on his cheek.
"Since the day that you first kissed me...I have never been close like that with anyone else. I panicked."
Aegon held her hand in place over his cheek.
"Why?"
Y/n turned her gaze to the floor.
"I didn't want it with someone who wasn't you."
Aegon felt his heart stumble at her words. Smiling tenderly at her, he took her chin between his thumb and forefinger to gently turn her gaze back to him.
"Good. I'd kill a man if I knew he'd touched you."
Y/N fixed him with a rueful glare.
"That's hardly fair. I'm supposed to be fine with you whoring yourself about the Red Keep, chasing after every skirt you see?"Â
Aegon smirked at her.
"So you do care?"Â
When she made to move away from him in annoyance, he quickly gathered her back into his arms, speaking affectionately to her to make up for his past deviances.
"It is you who has my heart. Who has always held it."Â
Y/N melted against him, though she still looked a little unsure.
"I don't know what to do."Â
Aegon stroked her cheek
"I'll teach you."
He leant down slowly, routinely searching her eyes for any doubt, any hint she didn't want him to kiss her. As she tilted her head up to meet his, he pressed their lips together. After a few moments, she began to respond, and it was just like it had been in their youth. Each brush of her lips against his felt like a fire burning through him and like a wound knitting together all at once. It didn't matter to him that she was inexperienced. He only wished he hadn't bothered kissing any other girl's lips. When she pulled away to catch her breath, he pressed their foreheads together, wanting to maintain this closeness between them.
"What did you write in your letters?"
Aegon chuckled at her sudden curiosity, entangling his fingers in her hair.
"Mostly, I was just begging you to forgive me for what I said at Driftmark, telling you I loved you and that I missed you."
Y/N stroked a hand across the plane of his chest.
"I missed you too."

WARNING âÂ
A Poly!Judgment-Day fanfiction containing themes and mentions of DEPRESSION, LONLINESS, SOME SMUT, ANGST, SADNESS, ALCOHOL etcÂ
Overall, Iâm just trying to make you all cryâŚÂ
READER X JUDGMENT DAY/POLY! â Rhea, Damien, Finn, Dominik x READER- Written in first person with Y/N (Reader Female) Â
Italic font â flashback, speech or memories
Less than a minuteÂ
The hotel room was quiet, the cheap TV fixed to the wall showing Monday night Raw on a low volume mixed in with the sounds of footsteps in the corridor, each sound filling the hot humid air. Outside the rain lashed down, heavy rainclouds hung low in the night sky blocking out the starlight, yet the full moon powered through, illuminating the streets, reflecting in the puddles that ran along the gutter line.Â
It was late, most of these anonymous guests rushing around just outside our door would be returning from busy work days to catch up on sleep or be heading out for a fun night on the town.  A blissful life for most, a chance to escape their homes and stay in a bed with room service, maids to clean up after you and a reception for any assistance required! I hated it though; it wasnât my choice but when you are on the road traveling for what felt like 300 days of the year with your partners there isnât much of an option. A different country every month, a different state every week, Christ a different town every night. I longed for those one-off days where we were all free to do nothing. Something many people take for granted is the ability to do nothing, and I missed it.Â
Life felt far too chaotic, and despite being in a 5-way Polyamory relationship, Iâd never felt so alone. I longed to go home, back to our own little house, we had been away for so long now. I could picture it, the front room shelves filled up high with my collection of books. My own little library I had spent a lifetime building now just collecting dust. The cabinets filled with Dominikâs board games that had bought about so many nights of endless laughter and equally some rather extreme arguments over winners, losers, cheaters and a half empty liquor cabinet that had been drained dry after a game of Scrabble. I still laugh now thinking back to when Rhea would demand the Alexa to define a word, we were sure Dominik had made up. Still, you could always rely on Finn to settle the score with a round of tequila shots and an accidental knock of the board.Â
âOh no!â Finn would laugh as he âaccidentlyâ kicked the board off and onto the floor.Â
âThe board fell⌠guess we will have to play something else aye lassâ he stated sarcastically, winking at me as he passed over one of the shot glasses.Â
âI wouldnât say No to a game of Twisterâ Damien suggested, raising his eyebrows as he took his shot and ran his fingers down my back. I swear that man would give me goosebumps from the top of my head to the center of my core with just a passing look and that fiendish glint in his eye!Â
Rhea was quick to move herself over towards us resting her head in my lap, turning her view point to a more favored position. âIâll second thatâ she smiled gently kissing the inner of my thigh, my breath was hitched, excited and on edge all at once.Â
âWell Iâm calling it!  I won..â Dominik stated with a huff as he began to pick the letter tiles up off the floor. Smirking over at him we each adorned a loveable gleam towards the boy. A little brat at the best and worst of times, but we wouldnât have changed him for the world.Â
Moving Rheas head onto Damienâs lap where the two of them began their own little make out session I crawled my way round to Dom, helping collect the remaining tiles off the floor and boxing his board game up.Â
Smiling into his eye line I whispered âNever change who you are Dom Dom, We will always be here and we will always love youâ
âWhat about when they break us up though?â he asked, I could hear the anxiety in his voice, his eyes. âI have to turn on Rhea andâŚand..âÂ
I held him close, his hands holding tightly to my back and I could hear his gentle muffled cries.Â
âYouâll never be alone Dom, I love you so much. Even if Iâm not always there to hold your hand, ill never be far awayâ I whispered in his ear.Â
âLess than a minuite?â he smiled.Â
-----
I couldnât deny how much love I felt for each of them, work life had been tough for the four of them after the WWE had stated they would be splitting the group up to start a new storyline involving the likes of Liv Morgan, JD & Carlito. It didnât stop the love we had for each other, but it certainly made traveling together difficult! I often reminded them that unlike myself none of them exactly blended into a crowd.Â
Sitting in the middle of this king size bed I pulled my knees up to my chest, I had stolen Damienâs hoodie and a pair of rheaâs gym shorts in the hopes of being comfortable enough to focus while I studied my textbooks, but alas tonight my mind was elsewhere. I had been studying Law for some time, it had always been such a passion of mine and thankfully no matter where we slept I could bring my books and get my head down while my partners entertained the world. It also came in quite handy when certain members of the group had one too many drinks on a night out and needed some help in escaping the police without legal prosecution. Dominik can tell the world he did hard time in jail all he likes, but it was me that got the little brat released early after a dramatic night with Rhea at his parentsâ house on thanksgiving.Â
The WWE had offered me a position on their legal team once I had passed all my exams, yet that was over a year ago. I had deferred my exam date twice already, I wasnât sure what was wrong with me but I didnât feel the love, the passion or the joy I had done surrounding myself in plans for my future dream career, I was starting to worry I had wasted all these years for nothing.
Finn was always the voice of reason; he would often sit and help me revise while Rhea and Dom would shower together after the gym and Damien would take a nap. He was the voice of reason in the group, the glue that held us all together when things got tough. It was Finn that supported us all the most when our relationship went public, none of us had wanted to hide how we felt and the WWE were supportive, but that didnât stop the online hate. The four of them were use to random strangers throwing insults due to the nature of their job, and thankfully I wasnât of much interest to the fans. We had done our best to keep me away from the public eye, almost everyone just assumed I was part of the WWE teams supporting the group. There were a few fan speculation pages online who loved to play the guessing game but the majority saw me as nothing, as no one.Â
Finn always knew when something was wrong, he hadnât wanted to leave me this evening but I had persuaded them all to go on the promise when they returned we could order in and cuddle up to watch a new release on tv if we connected Damienâs laptop.Â
âChicken tenders! Ooh and nuggies?â Dom said, looking around the room in minor disbelief as we all looked at him with smiles. âWhat?â he asked.Â
âReally Dom? Chicken tenders, Iâd never have guessed that bro. Thereâs me thinking youâd want Sushi!â Damien stated sarcastically with a smirk as he zipped up his duffel bag.Â
âEw, raw fish? Bleugh! Thatâs gross!â Dom was genuinely disgusted at the idea.Â
âHey! Donât knock Sushi you little squinnie! Just because the rest of us have some foodie culture, your mother should have had you expand your pallet better!â I replied as I walked over and flicked Dom on the head. He was quick to wrestle me up and onto his shoulder, spinning me round onto the bed where he climbed on to pin me down.Â
âUh Excuse me! I think youâll findâŚMami! has expanded my pallet just fine hermosa!â He stated, daring his lips closer to mine.Â
âOh I bet..â I whispered to him closing the gap between us, our lips aching to touch. âYour pallet has had its fair share of tasting sessions aye Dom DomâÂ
Before he could respond Damien wrapped his arms around Dominikâs waste pulling him off me and planting him back down to earth, ruffling his hair upon release.Â
âAlright you two, break it off!â Damien patted Dom on the chest as he tossed over his rucksack from the chair. I bought my chest up leaning back on my hands winking at Dom as he scowled at me with a mix of frustration and cheek.Â
Rhea walked out from the bathroom with Finn following in tow, slapping Dom on the ass and wrapping her arm around his neck.Â
âBehave yourself Dom Domâ Rhea said before looking over at me on the bed, âYou too Bunny, Brats be warned there will always be consequences.â She laughed and pulled Dom towards the hotel door blowing me a kiss as the two of them headed out to work. Damien followed suit leaning down on the bed to kiss my forehead.Â
âTe amo, Hermosaâ he held the back of my neck touching foreheads before following Rhea and Dom.Â
âIll catch up with you three downstairsâ Finn said and Damien gave him a thumbs up as he headed out the hotel room door and closed it behind them.Â
Finn took a seat next to me on the bed as I sat up properly and moved to the edge, adorning one of those fake convincing smiles that had worked so many times before.Â
âA night of studying then? We wonât be back too late I promise, you can pick the film tonight. I dread another of Rheas slasher films aye. We will be up all night watching the doorâ Finn said with a gentle nudge to my shoulder. I just nodded, unsure of how to respond. It was strange, I could hide myself in the love and laughter I felt for them all, the never ending flirting and sexual frustration that would build when we were in a room. But a reminder of the real world, of the real life we were living was enough to shatter my dreams back to reality. Every day was blending into one, the repetitive endeavors were tearing my soul apart. Tears began to fill the corners of my eyes as I was quick to stand and rub them away taking a sharp breath. I knew inside I was breaking, I was like a ticking time bomb and I needed to protect them all. Finn leapt up to his feet spin me around and face him.
âY/N, listen to me lass, you know we all love you. No matter what, no matter how hard it all gets, whether you sit the exams and pass or fail.â Finn held his hands to my face cupping my cheeks.Â
Finn had suspected something was wrong for a while, he and Rhea had sat down with me before to talk. They knew about my past, the scars I had whilst silver and faded now were a window into a past life I had battled for so long to break free from, always terrified it would find me again. I was like a rabbit in headlights when it all got to much, I would freeze in fear of my mind running away with my sanity. Hence the nickname Bunny.Â
âI donât know what is wrong with me..â My voice was fragile, broken.Â
Finn held me in a close hug, his warm embrace relighting the fire inside my chest, a willing to keep going forward. The serenity was quickly broken by a car horn beeping outside followed by a text alert on Finns phone.Â
BRAT NO.2Â Â -
âOi! Save some of her for the rest of us Finn >_< get your ass down here! Weâre gonna be late!â Â
Finn shook his head, âThat boy tests my patience to its limit at the best of times, ive a good mind to put him over my kneeâÂ
I laughed wiping my eyes with my sleeves âOnly if you let me watchâÂ
He smiled and held me close, âI can stay, if thatâs what you need?âÂ
I shook my head and released him from the hug, âNo. its okay, you go kick ass! Iâm gonna jump in the shower and try to get in a quick nap before I crack on with those books, canât defer the exam forever!âÂ
âWe will be back before you know itâ Finn said softlyÂ
âLess than a minute?â I half smiled
âLess than a minuteâ He returned the all too familiar phrase. Finn kissed my forehead before getting his bag of the chair and reaching into his pocket to get his phone that had started to ring. He answered the call whilst slumping his bag over his shoulder and nodding his head goodbye to me before heading out the door.Â
âDominik, I am telling you now! I swear to god if you donâtâŚâ Finns voice faded out as he continued down the hotel hallway, the door closing behind him.Â
Taking a deep breath I shook off the heavy emotional cloak weighing me down and headed for the shower.Â
4 HOURS LATERÂ Â Â -Â
Looking around the rather large hotel room we had booked for the night I came to wonder; anyone would have thought we would have been used to this horrendous decor by now. No matter where we stayed every room felt much the same, whether it was the dismal wall art, low pressure shower heads or dull painted walls that felt like they were closing in. Though I knew the others were not fazed by it, they very rarely spent a lot of time in these rooms, aside from catching up on missed sleep or dancing the devils tango with any sparing energy the four of them would be in the gym or at the WWE training centers for live shows or TV.Â
Sitting here I couldnât steady my mind, I felt lost, lonely, empty even. It wasnât their fault, they showered me in affection, I could want for nothing but more time with them. Yet it wasnât that either, no amount of time in the arms of Rhea could fix the damage, she was the only woman I could love with the entirety of my heart, but as incredible as she was, even Rhea Bloody Ripley couldnât fight off the demons inside me.Â
The deeper I looked the more the world felt wrong. It all felt alien, uneasy, I wondered if it was just me, was I the problem? I checked the time, just after 10pm, they would be back soon enough, why did that bring about such panic, an anxiety drowning my heart, my breathe hitched and I felt it. You just know donât you, it could have been years, weeks, days, hours or minutes that you had been fighting the voices in your head, the devil on your shoulder, but I was so lost in it all I just wanted to be alone.Â
Slipping  off the bed I pulled on my socks and trainers and headed for the door. Pausing in the doorway I felt my heart sink a little, maybe this was it, maybe I wasnât what I had promised I would be.Â
A single tear fell down my cheek as I closed the hotel room door behind me, leaving my phone and keys on the nightstand. I needed to break free, only time would tell how long for, but I needed to feel. I needed to escape the War inside my head and the only way I knew how to do that, was to run.Â
1 HOUR LATERÂ Â Â -Â
Rhea and Dom walked through the carpark with his arm wrapped around her waist as they headed towards the rental car. It had been a hard night for them and all they wanted was to climb into bed with their girl and sleep. Damien followed just behind the both of them carrying the groups bags. Finn bringing up the rear of the group was locked into his phone, his face filled with concern for their girl who hadnât responded to a single text all evening. They had received a message from the WWE management team that they could leave early to limit fan interaction ahead of SummerSlam.Â
Climbing into the rental car Dom, Rhea and Damien waited for Finn.Â
âMaybe she fell asleep studying?â Dom asked as Finn sat in the back passenger seat.Â
Rhea had her phone up to her ear listening to a never ending ringing on the other end, Voicemail again. âBunny? please call me back.â She ended the call and looked up to Damien in the drives seat.Â
âPriest, Floor it!âÂ
--------
Reaching the hotel all four of them raced from the car inside, adrenaline fed through them as they reached the hotel room.Â
Hands shaking Rhea swiped the card multiple times before holding it still long enough to enter. The realization. The Silence. It was deafening.
Damien rushed in to check the bathroom as Finn scrambled around the room with Dom, looking for something, for someone they knew wasnât there. Rhea stood frozen in the doorway, in silence, her eyes locked in.Â
âRhea?â Dom hastily rushed over, hand on her shoulder as he turned to her eye line. There it was, on the bedside table.Â
Finn edged his way over to the bedside as Damien came back into the room. Hands shaking nervously Finn reached down and picked up Y/N phone and hotel keycard.Â
They all shared a look between each other, a look of fear and confusion. What were they meant to do now? Where did Y/N go?Â
âI shouldnât of left herâŚâ Finn held the phone tightly pacing the same two steps over. âI could see it, I saw it, I shouldnât of left herâŚâ Finn repeated again.Â
âFinn?â Dom hesitantly questioned his actions.Â
Rheas demeanor quickly turned and she slammed her hand against the doorframe and rushed out followed by Finn and Damien desperate to find their girl.Â
âDom stay here! In case she comes back!â Damien yelled, he paused in the hall before rushing back to the room and holding Dominickâs face in his hands. âWe will find her, I promise, we will all be back before you know itâ Damien kissed his forehead before turning and running back out the door.Â
Dom was frozen on the spot, he couldnât move, he looked around the room at abandoned study books, half unpacked suitcases and clothing discarded on the floor. He felt smaller than ever before, his heartbeat felt cold, his chest filled with butterflies and his hands cold to touch.Â
Walking over to the window that stood from floor to ceiling he held his hand to his chest tearing up at the rain lashing down outside . âLess than a minute?âÂ

Soft House MD Ship Things
Too lazy to write a fanfiction about these, here ya go.
Camteen (Cameron x Thirteen):
Thirteen likes to watch Cameron work. She likes seeing her razor sharp, focused, in charge.
Mostly because once Cameron realizes Thirteen is watching her, her face almost literally melts, becoming soft around the edges, and her eyes light up. She'll smile so big Thirteen has to look away
Thirteen dyes Cameron's hair. They have all the supplies in their home that Cameron keeps in a neat caddy under the sink. Thirteen is so methodical with her approach that Cameron has fallen asleep while her fingers are in her hair.
Cameron does make tea for Thirteen. She makes her favorite tea in the mornings, herbal tea when she's sick, something warm and cozy on fall nights... While Thirteen was already well versed in the hair dye scene, Cameron went out of her way to learn different techniques for steeping, boiling water, etc, to make the perfect cups of tea.
Choreman (Chase x Foreman)
When asked about when they got together, they pick random dates and random stretches of time, just because they don't think it's anyone's business. But they do know, and are secretly huge saps about it, buying each other 1 month, 2 month anniversary gifts, etc.
Foreman loves to game late into the night, which is usually fine cause Chase is a heavy sleeper. On the rare occasions he's woken up Chase, Chase will come to the living room and drag him to the bed for apology cuddles.
They argue about medicine a lot at work, because they have such opposite viewpoints. It's a solid rule that they don't talk about work at home, and if one says something that goes too far while working, they apologize at home and spend quality time doing something together (like playing games or cards, or cooking together, any activity really).
Everyone thinks Chase is a bigger romantic, but it isn't true. Chase is romantic in small ways; fixing the coffee before breakfast, getting Foreman his favorite snacks when shopping, helping Foreman with his half of the house work when he's too tired. Foreman is romantic in big ways; planning fancy dinners months in advance, finding time for both of them to get PTO and get away for a few days, those sorts of things.
Finally, Hilson (House x Wilson)
While not a fan of it himself, House has watched the show Fraiser all the way through because of Wilson. When Wilson looked on softly at the scene where Daphne and Niles sings Heart and Soul together while cooking, House made a mental note. Now he plays it when he's between pieces, or taps it out while thinking, because he knows it brings Wilson a small kind of domestic joy.
Of course, House's own compositions and home-recitals of the greats steal Wilson's breath away. He's careful to never over-praise, House thinking it forced after a compliment or two, but Wilson would love nothing more than to shout to all he knows how talented his lover is.
Wilson picks up small hobbies to keep him occupied, as to not work himself to death. House's favorites, and the subjects of most of his ridicule, are knitting and crocheting. Wilson loves seeing House in the things he's made, like a scarf or stocking cap when it's cold, and House likes having a physical reminder of Wilson when he isn't around.
House teaches Wilson Spanish. He knows Wilson wants to learn, but doesn't often push himself past watching telenovelas (always with subtitles on). After a rocky start, Wilson and House can have conversations in Spanish, and House feels a stab of pride whenever Wilson uses it to talk to a patient.
Their main dynamic never changes, after all that was how they got this far in the first place, but now they find saying I love you is a quick way to disarm the other; whether in the middle of bantering, pranking, arguing, anything. An unexpected I Love You sends the other reeling, relishing in the way the words come naturally, and how now, after all these years, they've finally let each other say it.

Ascendn't
Summary
I got mad when the game wouldn't let me hug him after the Cazador fight. So I fixed it. Plus a bit more steaminess in the graveyard scene. (Also, yes, I'm insufferable about this title.)
Pairing: Astarion x GN!Tav Rating: M Word Count: 4.5k Tags/Warnings: post-Cazador fight, Act 3 spoilers, blood kink, biting, hurt/comfort, fluff and angst, soft dom Astarion, enthusiastic consent
It's been a good 10 years since I've written fanfiction and probably about 20 since I've published any online. This boy got me down BAD. I made an AO3 account for this fucker. (Which you can find here.)
âI can do this, but I need your help.â
Youâve never heard him plead like this. Heâs usually so cool and confident. He doesnât need anyone if he can help it. But this is different. Standing over Cazador, dagger in hand, fear and desperation in his eyes.
âIâll be free - truly, completely free. Isnât that what you want?â
He knows how to make your heart melt and break all at the same time. Gods, yes, of course thatâs what you want, more than anything in the world. For him to be free to live the life that he never got to have, the life that Cazador stole away from him. He was so young when he got turned. And if he doesnât take this chance, then as soon as you manage to get these damned tadpoles out of your head heâll be relegated to the shadows once again. You canât do that to him.
But this isnât it. This wonât give him the freedom he so desperately craves, no, deserves. Itâs just another form of chains. You take a shaky breath and prepare yourself for his disapproving glare.
âI know you think this will set you free, but it wonât. This power will trap you, just like it trapped Cazador.â
Astarionâs face goes slack, the recognition of the cycle of abuse suddenly clear. His eyes on you soften as he murmurs, âYouâ youâre right. I can be better than him.â He turns a steely gaze back to Cazador.
âBut Iâm not above enjoying this.â
With a ferocity that you havenât yet seen in Astarion, he yanks Cazadorâs head back and starts viciously stabbing into his neck. Two hundred years of pent up fury and revenge release in a matter of moments. At a certain point, heâs not even stabbing the man, but rather the idea of Cazador and everything he represents.
Eventually he slows and drops Cazadorâs limp body to the ground. The dagger falls with a clatter, and Astarion takes a step back. His eyes finally come back into focus and he realizes that itâs over. Really, truly, over. Heâs finally free.
His face is awash with an overwhelm of emotions that you canât identify. Heâs panting, first from the physical exertion and then the sobs that wrack his body. He lets out a howling cry filled with pain and suffering and relief and anguish and he falls to his knees, shoulders shaking. Up until this point, you and the rest of your party have been frozen to the spot as you watched Astarion claim his revenge. But something in you breaks free and you rush to his side. Where you need to be. Where you belong.
You grab him tight in your arms and curl into his neck, your own tears mixing with the blood and grime on his bare shoulder. You think with an almost sardonic humor how often your positions have been reversed. Whereas when he leaned into your neck it was often with hunger, or lust, or even just a flirty playfulness, now all you could bring is a shared pain and comfort. You plant a tender kiss just below his ear and he looks at you with tearful eyes, an unidentifiable question present. You wrap your hand around the base of his neck, fingers raking through bloodstained silver curls. Pressing your foreheads together, you sync up your breaths with his, trying to slow them back to an even rhythm. Gods, you love this man so much.
You finally dare to break the silence, whispering, âLetâs get you cleaned up, shall we?â He lets out a weary chuckle and nods. You take one more look into those wet crimson eyes, bloodshot and tired, and smear some of Cazadorâs blood left on his cheek in an attempt to wipe away his tears. He takes your hand and kisses your fingertips gently. You suddenly become aware that the other six spawn have been released from their soul-draining chains and are approaching, just as tired and sweaty as the rest of you. The two of you slowly get up to your feet, each helping the other in the process.
âIs⌠is it over? Is heâŚ?â The woman you vaguely recall meeting in the flophouse in Wyrmâs Crossing, Dalyria, cautiously peers at Cazadorâs body. Astarion lets out one final sigh, his breathing finally returning to normal.
âYes. Heâs gone.â He sounds like he can hardly believe it himself. As though saying the words aloud might somehow break a spell and make them untrue.
âWhat does that mean for us?â Petras, you think, comes up behind Dal. You do remember meeting him, feeling like he was like a knockoff version of Astarion. Trying all the same moves with half of the charm. You feel bad, now, about that judgemental assessment. He looks like such a lost little boy.
âIt means you have a choice,â he says with exasperation. Sibling bonds, even when forged in fire, never die. âYou can hide here, living in the shadows, like parasites.â His voice is filled with venom. âOr you can be more than what he made us to be. You can choose differently, of course. But the consequences are on your head.â
âWhat does it mean for them?â Dal asks, and Astarion falters slightly.Â
âAh. Now that is a questionâŚâ You can tell he had been trying not to think about the seven thousand vampire spawn locked up in the dungeons. He was trying to get Sebastian out of his mind since their conversation. You donât blame him, honestly. Astarion may have been forced to do Cazadorâs bidding, but that doesnât make the fallout from that any less reprehensible. Worse even that he was good at it.
Astarion had taken a step away from you to talk to his siblings, and you can see him beginning to spiral. You close the distance again and lay a hand on his shoulder. You can feel him start under your touch.
âLetâs release them,â you offer quietly. âThey deserve the same chance you got.â You have no idea who Astarion would be right now if he hadnât gotten kidnapped by the Illithid. If he hadnât been on this journey, seen everything he had seen. Met you. Honestly, you donât know who youâd even be if you hadnât met him either. The thought alone makes you run cold.
âYouâre right,â he breathes barely above a whisper. âThe poor wretches in the cells are innocent. They shouldnât have to suffer just because I-â his voice catches in his throat and you see him shake off a dark thought, âlured them here.â He reaches down to pick up Cazadorâs staff - Woe, you think itâs called - with a hand still stained reddish black with the vampireâs blood. He looks at it for a moment, considering it carefully, and everything this staff had ever meant. Then he slams it on the ground, red waves of energy emanating from it, using its power to unlock every single one of the cells in the dungeon.Â
âTheyâll need someone to lead them. Take the tunnels into the Underdark. Find somewhere⌠well, not safe, but less perilous.â Petras eyes light up with fear.
âWhat? No, we canât-â he begins desperately, but Astarion cuts him off with a hand.
âJust try to keep them out of trouble.â The exasperated tone is back. How often had he needed to manage Petrasâ emotions as much as his own? You vaguely wonder if Petras looked to Astarion as a role model. The other six spawn walk off slowly, exhausted but clearly relieved to be starting anew.
You turn to Astarion, who has just finished redonning his armor that Cazador had stripped him of. His gaze is glassy; youâve seen this look before, sometimes even when youâre in bed together. He might as well be a million miles away. You gently touch his arm to bring him back to you. He jumps slightly, then a wan smile touches his lips, but not his eyes.
âThatâs it. Heâs gone. After all these years â these centuries â itâs really over.â He shuffles his feet, antsy and tired at the same time. You hesitate a moment, unsure of the best way to respond, but you finally settle on, âIâm proud of you. You did the right thing.â His smile isnât free of bitterness.
âIâm glad you think so, because Iâm not so sure.â His eyes flick up back to you, but that glassy look has returned. âI just feel numb. What Iâve lost, what Iâve gained â itâs all so much. And gods, all those spawn, free in the Underdark. I need some time, I think. Just to let it all sink in.â You reach out to touch his face comfortingly. Your heart sinks as he gently pushes your hand away, but it settles when he doesnât let go of it.
âLetâs just go. This place reeks of death and I want to feel alive again.â He gives your fingers a small squeeze and then walks off ahead of your party, making his way down the long corridor into Cazadorâs dungeon. Well, not Cazadorâs anymore. You briefly wonder whatâs going to happen to this place.
At the end of the hallway, you see the Gur standing there, too late to be even remotely useful. You struggle to keep a scowl off your face. You hate how they treated Astarion in your last encounter. You could be sympathetic of their pain, of course; theyâve lost so much to Astarionâs actions. But the fact that they offered no sympathy for him back, the fact that they could barely acknowledge that he was a victim himself? Absolutely despicable.Â
Ulma stands at the head of the group, and her scowl matches yours. âYou killed one vampire, but released seven thousand of his spawn? Have you lost all sense?â
âThey were innocents. To kill them would have been an even greater crime.â Astarion couldnât possibly sound more tired. You donât blame him, these are the last people he wants to defend himself against right now.
âSome of those innocents are your fucking kids,â you grumble under your breath, hopefully not enough for Ulma to hear, but just enough for Astarionâs benefit. Itâs clear that she couldnât when she retorts, âAnd our children? What of their fate?â
âCazador turned everyone we brought him into spawn. I can only assume your children are somewhere in those wretched cells. Youâll find them in the Underdark, although you may not like what you find.â The grief is plain in Ulmaâs face, as well as the rest of the Gur. You feel a little more sympathy for them, but still no warmth.
âThis isâŚâ Ulma searches for the right word to capture the enormity of the situation, âdifficult news.â She probably couldâve done better. âWe will need to decide what this means.â She lets out a heavy sigh. âThank you for what you have done â slaying Cazador was a great justice. As for the rest⌠well, time will tell.â Astarion nods curtly, and youâre relieved to be able to push past them and leave.
You and your party finally trudge back to Elfsong Tavern to rest. The rest of your companions are eager to gossip about the dayâs events, everyone having something to say. You shield Astarion from their nosiness and distract them while he bathes in the tub in the corner, washing away more than just the physical dirt.Â
Later that evening as everyone else is beginning to tuck into bed, Astarion comes to you, finally ready to talk again. You can smell his signature fragrance, an earthy citrus with an undertone of spice, and itâs positively intoxicating. Youâve grown to really love that smell, and even the slightest whiff makes your head spin. For the first time maybe ever since you met, his eyes look⌠soft. Almost warm, even.
âI should probably start getting used to the shadows, again,â he muses with a light smile. âWho knows how long I have left in the sun?â Your heart drops. This had been your greatest fear, that he would feel resentful of the fact that you convinced him not to go through with the ritual, thereby committing him to an indefinite lifetime in the darkness. You know how much heâs grown to love the feeling of the sun on his skin. Not to mention how it makes his skin look, soft and kissable.
âDonât say that,â you plead with him. âWe could still find a way to control the tadpole.â He shakes his head, his freshly washed curls bouncing slightly.
âMaybe, but even if I could control it, itâs a dangerous game. Iâd spend every day waiting for something to go wrong. For the tadpole to find a new trick, reassert itself, make me a slave again.â His eyes grow lighter, discovering the truth of what heâs saying as he says it. âMaybe never seeing the sun again is just the price of freedom.â You reach out and give his arm a reassuring squeeze, relishing the feel of his cool, toned arm beneath the warm linen. Even after all this time, being this close to him makes you a little lightheaded. You feel the blood rush to your cheeks and neck, almost as though itâs aching to be drunk.Â
âIâll be with you either way,â you breathe softly. You canât help but glance at his lips. âI hope you know that.â
âI think I do.â He sounds genuine, a bit of a rarity for him. Lest anyone believes Astarion to have a sincere bone in his body, he adds, âAssuming we survive, of course. Because a horrible death is always just around the corner with you.â You playfully shove his shoulder for teasing you. He laughs and gently pulls you in by your lower back and you feel the heat rising again. Your breath catches as his eyes rake over your body and face. He lingers on your lips for a moment before darting back up to your eyes.
âThereâs⌠something Iâd like to show you, if thatâs alright? Something out in the city.â He cocks his head and looks at you with an almost impossible combination of bashfulness and lust. Being this close to him and breathing in his heady scent makes you dizzy. You manage to recover just enough to quip, âIf you want to sneak off for a cuddle, you can just ask.â He lets you go and you feel a significant drop in your internal temperature.
âIâll try to restrain myself if you do,â he says with a cheeky smile. He takes you gently by the hand and leads you out the Elfsong Tavern.
The graveyard is quiet, almost serene. Astarion walks forward towards a tombstone covered in ivy and, with something bordering on reverence, brushes the vines away to reveal the text engraved in the crumbling stone.Â
Astarion Ancunin 1229 DR - 1268 DR
He wipes the dirt off his hands and steps back next to you to get a better view of the stone. You stand together in silence for a moment, as if in prayer.
âNearly two hundred years and I never came back. Not since the night I woke up down there.â His gaze is overtaken by that glassy look, the one you recognize to be him reliving his trauma. âI had to punch a hole in the coffin and claw my way through six feet of dirt. Then when I finally broke the surface, retching up dirt and congealed blood, Cazador was waiting. From that day on I was his.â He sneers at the memory. Then he pauses, considering, âUntil today.âÂ
He comes back to himself with a shake of his head, and his eyes return to this plane. He adds, as much to himself as to you, âNow I need to figure out who I am. What I want.â
âAnd what do you want?â Your mouth is dry as you ask the question. You can hope for the answer, but you wouldnât dare presume. He might need to figure that out on his own, and if thatâs the case, you will respect that.Â
He turns to face you, his red eyes full of more warmth than youâve ever seen. Your heart leaps into your throat as he smiles and says, âYou⌠I want you.Â
âYou were by my side through all of this. Through bloodlust and pain and misery. You were patient. You cared.â As heâs speaking your heart starts beating loudly, blood pumping through your arteries at an almost vulgar rate. You know he can tell, and he chuckles softly. Cupping his hand below your ear and gently stroking your cheek with his thumb, he adds teasingly, âYou trusted me when that was an objectively stupid thing to do.â He pulls you even closer and rests his forehead against yours. You could never get tired of this. As much as you love those moments filled with heat and lust, thereâs something so tender about these intimate gestures that arenât about sex.Â
âI feel safe with you. Seen. And whatever the future holds for me, I donât want to lose that.â You grasp at the back of his shirt, looking for purchase as you fall so much more deeply for him. Your voice is barely above a whisper as you breathe, âYou wonât. Whatever comes next, Iâve got you.â
âThank you.â
You two stand there for what feels like both an eternity and a fraction of a second before he pulls away and looks at the grave again.
âWell. I should probably fix this.â He pulls a dagger from his belt with practiced fingers and kneels beside the stone, carving something into it. You kneel beside him and see that it now reads
Astarion Ancunin 1229 DR - 1268 DR 1492 DR -
His new life. For the first time in two hundred years, he can call it his own. You find yourself at a loss of what to do, or what to add, so you self-consciously pick up a nearby wildflower and gently place it at the base of his gravestone. He glances at you sideways and smirks, âCute.â You both sit back on your heels to admire his work. He heaves a great sigh, letting go of centuries of tension and fear.
âIâve been dead in the ground for long enough. Itâs time to start living again.â He turns to you and takes your hands. âWith everything life has to offer.â His voice has taken on that gravelly tone that sends a shiver up your spine. You donât want to pressure him, of course, but your desire for his touch is getting harder to ignore. These gentle grazes, lovely though theyâve been, have set your skin aflame.
âMeaningâŚ?â
His eyes glint mischievously and that familiar flirty lilt comes back to his voice. âIf a night of passion is on offer, I could be persuaded.â Your body leans toward him instinctively, breath heavy in your chest. The words are out of your mouth before your brain catches up, âSounds good to me.â He gets close to your face and you can feel his breath on your lips before he pulls away suddenly. Heâs teasing you, and you know that heâs relishing in the satisfaction of it.
âYou know,â he says with a feigned innocence, as though he doesnât know the effect he has on you, âI didnât care for you when we first met.â The sudden shift in tone knocks you back to reality, and you canât help but laugh. He impishly glances up at you through his lashes.
âBut I do now. Being with you is about more than lust or manipulating you into a tactical alliance.â He takes your hand, cheekiness gone, and looks you squarely in the eye with a rare earnestness. âI love you. I love this. And I want it all.â You will never tire of hearing those words. He reaches behind your ear and tenderly pulls you closer to him, finally giving your lips the reprieve theyâve been so desperate for. Itâs a soft kiss, gentle, yet it still makes you burn up inside.Â
He pulls away far too soon, and you gaze back at him with starry eyes. His features is soft and smiley, but in an instant he raises on his knees so heâs towering over you and he takes on that stern expression that makes your temperature rise. He shoves you back onto your elbows before bending down to crawl up your torso hungrily. He kisses you again, this time with more intensity. He pins you down with the weight of his chest and then traps you further by nudging your leg up with his knee, eliciting a small gasp of surprise from you. You couldnât escape even if you wanted to. And you most certainly donât want to.
His body presses against yours and you curl your leg around him, pulling him tighter. An almost imperceptible grunt escapes his lips and you smile through your kiss. You can feel his smile in return and you lace your fingers into his silvery hair. He deepens the kiss, rolling his hips harder against you and your mouth opens involuntarily. He takes advantage of this momentary lapse and makes his way toward your neck, marking the trail with kisses. You seize up and your fingers tighten in his hair, encouraging him silently. But he needs more than that, and you know exactly how heâll respond.
âUse your words,â he hums between kisses. You squirm beneath him, trying to sound even remotely dignified.
âYou can,â you manage to gasp out as you try to suppress the moans that his lips are tearing from your throat. He flicks his tongue right over his usual puncture wounds and then gently trails it up the shell of your ear. You shiver with the intensity of it all.
âI can⌠what? I canât know unless you tell me.â How the fuck does his voice stay this even? You can bearly even think straight, let alone string full sentences together. And yet he remains calm, nigh indifferent to the effect heâs having on you. But as cool as he is on the surface, you know how much he wants it. You both love the teasing, each night a challenge to see who can outlast the other.Â
âYou can bite me,â you breathe and he nips at your ear ever so lightly, causing you to choke out the last few words, âif you want.â
âIf I want? But what do you want?â He emphasizes the pronouns in a singsongy tone, and even hearing âIâ and âyouâ in the same sentence does it for you. Heâs still grinding against you all while assaulting your neck with filthy kisses. You try to remember what words are.
âI want you,â you gasp, trying to keep your words legible, âto bite me.â You suck in sharply through your teeth as he hitches your leg up a little higher. He grabs both of your wrists in one hand and pins them above your head.
âAre you sure?â his tone is still infuriatingly innocent. He knows how much you want this, and you know what he wants in return. Youâre not quite ready to give it to him yet. But gods how you wish he would break first tonight. Odds arenât looking great as his free hand slips behind your lower back causing you to arch it off the ground slightly.
âYes,â you groan in agony as his lips continues their heinous walk up and down your neck and collarbone. âPlease, Astarion. I want you to.â He nips you again at the same time that he presses his thigh right at the apex between your legs. He tightens his grip on your wrists and whispers sharply in your ear.
âBeg for it.â
Thatâs it. Youâve lost. You cry out in a delicious mix of pain and pleasure. The words come tumbling out of you, unbidden and unburdened.
âPlease, Astarion, bite me. Please please please. Bite me. I want to feel your fangs pierce my skin. I want to know the feeling of my blood inside you. Gods, please, I canât take it any longer and if you donât bite me soon I think I might-â
Thank the realms that he cuts you off in that moment, acquiescing to your begging, because you have no idea how you planned to finish that sentence. The sharp moment of pleasure as he sinks in, followed by the loveliness of feeling your blood flow into his mouth. It makes you feel slightly lightheaded, and the high it gives you is better than any you might hope to achieve on Elendren pipeweed. The gentle feeling of his tongue lapping at your neck contrasts beautifully with the sharp tension of him sucking the blood out of you. You can feel him starting to get lost in your neck, his grip on your wrists loosening. You use this moment of vulnerability in Astarion to get him back by arching your back even more to move your hips against his. You hear the sudden intake of breath through his nose and you smile to yourself smugly. He knows what you did and isnât about to take it lying down, metaphorically speaking.Â
Once heâs had his fill he draws away from your neck, lips stained red with your blood. He sits up again, one knee between your legs as he looks down on you. He tsks quietly as he shakes his head, drawling, âSo naughty. What am I to do with you?â You prop yourself up on your elbows and return his gaze wickedly, your blood tickling your neck as it drips down toward your shoulder. He swipes at the drop with a long pale finger and lasciviously sucks your blood off his fingertip. Your smug grin is back, knowing how weak he is for you.Â
His face drops into that stern expression again, but this time a devilish smile plays on his lips. He puts his hand on your chest gently, then takes a hard turn as he grabs you by the throat. Not enough to be painful, nor enough to constrict your breathing, but just enough for him to have control. He studies your face for a moment, admiring its beauty, before he yanks you upward commanding you to look him in the eye. He leans in for a forceful kiss as he keeps his hand tight beneath your jaw. You start to lose yourself in the kiss, melting into him, and he takes the opportunity to sharply push you away, his pointer lingering on your chin to show that heâs still in control of where you look. He lets you go and leans back confidently, enjoying how youâve become extremely pliable in his hands.
He stands to loom over you for a second more, then reaches for your hand to pull you up. Youâre completely under his power and couldnât be more than happy to give him whatever he wants. You take his hand and he pulls it behind his back, pressing your chest into his.Â
âYouâd better be good for me,â he murmurs against your lips, once again denying the kiss you ache for. âWe wouldnât want to punish any bad behavior, now would we?â He caresses your face momentarily and then turns with your hand still in his and pulls you toward⌠somewhere. Honestly, you couldnât care where. You love him, and you love this, and youâll go wherever he leads.Â

Hello everyone.
This will be a rather long post about some things I wanna adress, including the fact that I plan to stop writing for Pressure, my OCS and other peoples Ocs in the near future.
Down under the cut is a list with my personal view, issues and some other things that lead to this decision. Maybe I miss a lot or don't go too deep into detail but the main points are covered.
But before I would like to add that this is MY opinion and MY choice. I let you think of it what you want but I also request that you respect my actions.
The first point is probably already clear from the start. Maybe some noticed, maybe not but I fell out of love with the fandom and the game itself. It became boring to play, the characters lost their charm and I can't come up with any creative scenarios anymore and the ones that already exists have lost their meaning. This may sound like the typical burnout thing and maybe it is but I'm more than certain that I wanna step away from the game and the fandom to focus on other things that bring me more joy. Maybe I start a multifandom writing blog or I just learn another hobby.
The second thing that is close connected to the first point is the fandom of the game, including the community on tumblr. A huge part are super sweet people with a very creative side. I would go as far and say that I brought some of those together with my projects and writing and it really makes me happy to see everyone interact so friendly on my blog.
But something that I haven't adressed is the fact that there are also plenty of hardcore fans, haters and weird people in my askbox or general in the fandom. It is to be expected when someone gains a massive amount of followers. But I do not accept the fact that people judge me based on what I write, who I write for, when I write and if I write at all. I delete those asks. Some telling me that my community project is awful, unserious and pulls other ocs into dirt. Other people are claiming that I don't write Sebastians Character right and oh wow seriously? I am not Sebastians creator, I do not have that ultimate deep lore and mindset to write a person 1:1. I get hate for my own stories and of course the fans could now come to my protetion and say âBut Chea don't listen to the haters, you are amazingâ but it doesn't fix the thing in a slightest.
Also regards the people that praise me, some of them ( I won't name anyone) are counting to those weird people that force me. There were 2 or 3 people that acted all sweet in public only to try and take control of some story plots etc.
Also, I started writing when Pressure was first raising to be popular. There weren't many pressure writers out there. I am usually not someone that posts their work online, I don't comment on stuff and I rarely like something. But I really wanted to see more pressure fanfictions. Now we reached the point where there are more than plenty amazing writers and I can quit. There is no need for me to continue something that only makes me hate myself more because everytime I open my notes to write a story for pressure it feels like a mental torture. I leave the writing to the other blogs.
The status for now:
AASB gets discontinued.
Reverse AU gets discontinued.
Streamer AU will recieve 6 more chapters to end the story on a good term.
House of Entities will get continued for a small period of time, probably till I am done with the Streamer AU. There is no plan for the chapter count yet.
All requests in the inbox will get deleted and the inbox itself will be closed after Streamer AU finished.
Any other unnamed project will get discontinued as well.
All stories, one shots, series, drabbles and other works of mine are free to use. Other authors can pick them up, re-write them or just make an own story out of those. I drop all rights for the ideas and I won't demand any credits either. Maybe someone else would like to continue House of Entities as well.
My final word, which may sound repeating: I do not change my opinion, there won't be any motivation talks or sugar coated words that will change my stand in those things. I know some of you will try and comfort me but this is really not needed. I wish for you all to accept the outcome of this situation and move on more or less.
I apologize dearly because this is very sudden and I hope you all will understand.
-Chea

Stories
Summary: You tell the boys varying stories about your childhood and upbringing where you got hurt, in a comedic sense.
Warnings: Mentions of getting injured or hurt but nothing too major other than the mention of getting the wind knocked out of them, busting their lip, and getting scapes on their body. All of this is put in the context of the reader recounting the stories to the boys and laughing at how dumb they were. Â
Authorâs Snip: Some of the stories that the reader says/are mentioned are made up but a few are actually real stuff that happened to me. I will not tell you which were made up for the story and which were true.
Iâll shut up now. Enjoy! And donât be afraid to request.
Word Count:
Taglist: @my-secret-shame-but-fanfiction @sergeant102105
You had, what the boys would call, an endless well of stories from when you were a kid.
Like the time you snuck in a bunch of bugs and put them in the lunch box of the kid that was picking on you during recess, knowing that he was terrified of bugs.
"It's fine. All his food was wrapped so it's not like any of it was contaminated. And he was a brat anyways.".
Or the time you straight up stood up a boy in the 7th grade who had asked you out to your school's winter break dance because you didn't like him and he wouldn't take no for an answer. You never even bought a ticket to the dance. To make it even funnier, you were moving over the winter break and changing schools as a result. So, you successfully ghosted him.
You even told them the time you skipped school on senior ditch day with your friends...
... you were all sophomores. And seemingly no one checked to see why neither of you were in your classes. Was that slightly concerning in hindsight? Yeah. But you all thought that you were soooo cool.
You seemingly had them all.
Even the story about how you got your first kiss was crazy. You played a weird game of truth-or-dare at a party where you had to have your eyes closed and let a random boy kiss you. You literally don't know who your first kiss was.
But the most insane ones was when it left a mark.
When Steven confessed to always wondering how you got the scar on your knee, he was not prepared for you to tell a story that sounded like a Jackass skit.
"Oh. It's actually really funny." you started out with.
"When me and my siblings were at the park down the street from our house we found an abandoned skateboard. We thought it would be fun to sit on it and ride it down a hill with pavement. I wanted to go first, so they let me. But neither of us were old enough to understand momentum and figured that when we got to the grass it would just stop," you explain. You could see that Steven already knew what was coming. But you continued.
"Here's the thing though, the thing that got me was actually the skateboard hitting a rock on the pavement that we didn't see from where we were. So I fell off and scraped the shit out of my knee on the way down." you reveal.
Steven had a clear cringing face from thinking about it.
"I was fine," you reassure him, "I had a bunch of scrapes on me and cried the whole way home but it was nothing rubbing alcohol and time couldn't fix," you say.
You also told Marc about the time you got the wind knocked out for the first time. Marc did ask, but he too wasn't ready for that story.
"I had a pair of rollerskates and this boy who lived in the neighborhood thought they were dumb and said that his bike was more practical. So I challenged him to a race from one end of the street to the other to settle it." you say. "I won," you add with a sense of pride. "But I made the mistake of turning around to taught him so I didn't see where I was going." you explain.
"So I crashed into a parked car and that's how it happened." you finish off with.
Marc looked at you in horror and gasped your name in concern.
"Don't worry I didn't break anything in my body or the car. I was wearing kneepads and a helmet. I just got the wind knocked out of me for a few seconds. I was able to get up and roll back." you wave off.
"Did you ever tell anyone?" Marc questions.
"No. My dad said that if I ever got hurt doing something stupid then he'd take them away." you say.
The only one amused by your stories was Jake who, according to him, got the lamer story behind a mark. The story of the dot on your bottom lip.
You set up the scenario, "I was five or something. My aunt was babysitting me and I wandered into my older cousin's room. He had one of those boxing dummies, the ones that topple and get right back up when you hit them.".
"Well, I was hitting it but I was so small that I couldn't really make it move. So I pushed it with my whole body. I had managed to get it to tilt a little and I was so excited that I got off of it. But I didn't back up enough so it hit me in the face and I busted my lip." you say and conclude.
Jake laughed and said, "I was half expecting you to have rough housed with your cousin and accidentally hit something when you first started.".
"We would but he'd obviously go easy on me." you mention and then have something cross your mind.
"I did get rug burn on my stomach one time as a kid because I was roughhousing with one of my siblings and they dragged me around on the carpet," you say.
Jake just laughed again and shook his head.
"What is it with you and just casually saying stuff like that?"

Little AI to Human headcannons
I've seen a lot of fanfictions or art about Caine as a human. Specifically an AI turned human (not human, then ringmaster, then human again). So, here are some of my own headcannons that I haven't seen anyone mention. I don't plan on doing anything with them, so if anyone wants to use them, please do!
Over stimulation. Before, in the circus, he could disable visual and audio processing. He could even go as far as to unload his virtual avatar and exist purely as a bundle of code. Now, he is essentially stuck in his body and can not manually turn his senses off.
Staring into space. He already does this in cannon, but I would imagine it would get even worse as a human. He would get too in his own head thinking about things and completely forget that his body exists at all times. He would either be impossible to drag out of this, or get annoyed that his train of thought was interrupted as he no longer has perfect memory.
Memory issues. Well, he wouldn't gain memory issues. It's more like he would be used to the perfectly memory of a machine. Suddenly storing information organically would be a massive downgrade for him, but he no longer has to worry about running out of storage so there's that.
Very good at math. This is another thing that he would consider got worse when becoming human, but compared to the average person, he's a physicist. He's familiar with all the light, force, and gravity based calculations and can even solve them reliably quickly. Again, he used to be able to do this in fractions of a second, so he considered it a downgrade.
Fascinated with the little details. He's familiar with physics because that's how computers render things, but moving to the real world, everything has insane detail to him. Something as simple as tearing paper has his eyes sparkling and lead him to talking about destruction physics. The fact that everything breaks differently every time fascinates him.
Insane knowledge about game design. I agree that Caine definitely would be almost completely ignorant about how the real world works and would essentially need a babysitter to make sure he doesn't die. But what I've seen very little about is how good he would be considered at design and programing. Man was literally built for this stuff.
Anxiety. As a computer, he could think 24/7 without consequences. As a computer, he could know the digital world on an extreme level. Quite literally know where everything is at all times. Obviously he isn't always monitoring this, as he didn't realize that Pomni had clipped out of bounds, but I imagine that he is capable of this. As a human, not only is he lacking this level of knowledge about the world, but he also can no longer think all the time without consequences. I imagine that he would still try to do this, thus manifesting as Anxiety.
impulse control. Now as a human with way less control over himself, I'd imagine what little impulse control he has just goes down the drain. Something interesting happens? He's walking over to look at it no questions asked.
Anger at his situation. To him, turning human is a downgrade. Yes, he is insanely happy to still be with everyone and see the real world, he's just unhappy about being a human in it. He would prefer to still be an AI system, just with a camera, microphone, and speaker on it so he can see, hear, and still talk to everyone. Of course, he would not voice this anger towards any ex circus member, as he views it as not their fault and therefor not their problem.
Now this one has to do with my own cannon adjacent AU, specifically the fanfiction I am currently writing a chapter 2 for. All you need to know is that Caine has been sending error reports, specifically about the inability to leave the circus, since the issue first started. These reports have gone unread.
10. abandonment issues. No one has helped him fix errors in so long that is has genuinely warped his view of reviving help. In the circus, no one (except maybe Kinger) knows how to read code and debug, but even as he moves to the real world and is surrounded by people who do know how his system works, he is still reluctant to ask for help. He's become used to asking and receiving nothing, and then being the one to fix everything. He's open to asking questions about the world and learning things, but when it comes to his own issues, nothing. Like, the kind of person to not ask for a blanket and then curl up under the rug. Also, he would hate sending text messages or emails because he hates having to wait for a reply. At least when talking to someone he can see that they are actually there and listening.

"The Other Fairy Tale" - Different Fairy Tales (AU?)
~560 words || The members of Crown, represented by different fairy tales than the originals used in the game.
This fanfiction is rated for all audiences, but keep in mind that the game, Ikemen Villains, is intended for a more mature audience.
â CW: None...? Nothing too serious. Let me know if I should add any warnings. â Let me know if you'd ever like to be tagged in my posts!
ââââââââââ
William: Rapunzel (original version)
sorry for the jumpscare
Youâve always been a dreamer. Youâve always wanted to see the world, but the walls built around you prevented you. Ah, mother (Victor) warned you not to fall in love with anyone (prologue), but look at you now. You could never see the world, no matter how much you wanted to. It took a prince to whisk you off your feet and guide you to free will. Even if William was blinded by thorns, heâd still be able to find you in the dark.
â
Harrison: Cinderella
Black hearts may mistreat you, Only a miracle could save you, But heâs able to see through the lies, as well as your disguise, because his love is one that is true.
â
Liam: The Little Mermaid (original version)
It was an impossible relationship. You are of land, while he is of sea. Youâre worth more to him than youâll ever know. He loves you so much, oh, heâd die for you. He saved you so many times. Liam sacrificed everything just for a chance, a small chance to love you. Learn from the Princeâs mistake. You better love him back and not leave him for another.
â
Elbert: The Little Mermaid
All the beautiful things he heard about on the surface brought him jealousy. For years, he would collect every little scrap that fell to him from the sky. When Elbert looked up at you from the seaâs surface, he fell for you in an instant. The siren, entranced by you, the most beautiful of them all. But perhaps he would do something different. Instead of dragging you to the surface, he would drag you beneath the depths. A place where he could love you forever. And now you belong to him.
â
Alfons: Red Riding Hood
The wolf will lead you astray with the beautiful flowers on the way. Heâll devour you whole, And take hold of your soul. Youâll never see another day.
â
Roger: Pinocchio
Roger will always fix you up when youâre chased, injured, and on the verge of death. It doesn't matter if you're flesh or wood. Heâll hold you close and shield you from the world. In a world surrounded by death, in which life is increasingly bizarre, youâre real to him. You may be a fool, but youâre the only thing keeping him sane.
â
Jude: Aladdin (Disney's version)
Heâs a rich, feisty prince. Youâre a robber on the streets, on the run. Strange how you two fell in love. Quit trying to impress him, he isnât interested. Oh- oh dear. Jude crosses his arms and sighs. You should have just been yourself in the first place.
Well then, what are your three wishes?
â
Ellis: ??? ("Happy Ending")
The world is full of unhappiness. Ellis would rather kill you to preserve your happiness than to have the possibility of it being tainted. Heâll stop time when youâre at your happiest, letting you stay in that happiness - forever. Thatâs his happy ending.
â
Victor: The Little Match Girl
Victor already knew your fate, but he must let life take its course. Heâs tortured by the visions of the deaths of those he loves. Ah, but despite their sins, he loves them all so much. Death watches over the girl, letting the flames remind her of love and kindness. May you die with a smile on your face, and let the loving Death carry you to Heaven.

Author's Notes
I remember seeing something similar for Ikemen Prince, and I decided it must be done for Villains.
I had to choose a fairytale that's different from the one they originated from. No similar characters either, which means Roger wasn't allowed to be the Huntsman from Red Riding Hood.
Harrison and Alfons' seemed too short... so I just made them into limericks...
Just something I was tempted to include in Roger's. But this fox and cat are rather antagonistic, so I decided against it.
The line from Ellis' is a reference to petite-otome's translation of his trailer~
My favorite is definitely Elbert's. It has such fanfiction potential. Maybe later. But my least favorite is probably Ellis'... I couldn't think up anything better than "happy ending".
Elbert mermay art might come out on my main anytime. @rou-luxe Elbert merman and lighthouse keeper Alfons... my Elbert merman AU... it never stops...

not they ended last lesson on the cliffhanger and barely addressed it in this one đ§đž
honestly that's on par for someone as closed off as raphael but FUCK i wanted some insight on how he's actually feeling. what's up with angels and not letting themselves show weakness ???
also the fact that this part of the lesson is called "back to the sorcerer's society" ??? mc's had too many death scares i can't keep doing this
gotta get all the mammon crumbs i can now that i know that the stupid date feature is 30 FUCKING DOLLARS đ i'm semi p2p but this shit is getting more and more ridiculous as the days drag on. like i'll just use character and and fanfiction atp
it's the way that i forgot the fact that mc's existence can literally tear apart reality at the seams. like that whole thing that happened in season 3 (4?) of og when simeon had to steal lucifer's ring and ended up becoming human bc of it
i feel like his punishment would've been way more lethal if the stakes weren't so dire. mc having lucifer's ring was the only sure fire way to ensure stability within and between the human, celestial, and demon realms without having any of them implode
this also explains why magic sickness is so concerning for mc specifically. to quote marvel, kayden is probably this universe's anchor being. if they go down, so does everything else in the timeline
me and sol got beef now bc what /lh
like yes he did what had to be done but did he HAVE to do what had to be done ????
also the fact that mc broke the measuring device after solomon had to fix it with reinforcements bc he himself broke the device before is so ??? like how fucking strong is mc ??????
this brings even more of a concern to the fact that a war breaking out between any of the realms would literally be life and death. if any of the brothers or their friends family get hurt, mc would cause irreparable damage to whoever or whatever is closest to them, whether the target caused the problem or not. like that's terrifying
this is why i love satan
he's almost more no-bullshit than lucifer is, which makes sense all things considered. in his eyes they still don't know anything about mc's power. all this is to satan is an educated guess, and when it inevitably gets disproved, then what? what if they do end up hurting someone
i doubt that'll happen since there's so little time left in this season but idk. it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility
i'm very glad that they used the very obvious answer as to why mc's powers are going haywire, bc the whole "it's just bc they're so loving and kind" thing just seemed like a cop out to me. like where are the stakes. what about the first 40 lessons of the game
ANYWAYS i'm very interested to see how this'll play out. part of me thinks diavolo and lucifer already know bc 1) they're not stupid and 2) dia is in close enough proximity to the time demon himself to know when something happened to the time stream (or as barbie himself called it, "time soup")
like look at the way barbatos reacted and the way diavolo immediately changed the subject. they both know something's going on, but whether or not diavolo knows the specifics is up in the air
satan is also the funniest mf on the planet idc argue with the wall. he really is the product of all his brothers bc this SCREAMS mammon and levi
:((( poor raph
i honestly can't even imagine what it feels like. the only angels he probably has left that he's actually close to are michael and maybe luke. even then, he probaboy sees luke as someone he can't confide in and feels like he's losing his brother(s) all over again
at least with simeon in purgatory hall, he can delude himself into thinking that simeon's still an angel. but if he's not there anymore, it's all but set in stone that he's lost what little connection he had left to simeon and, in a way, the other brothers, bc luke wasn't around or old enough to remember pre-war times
on a brighter note...michael lore. kinda. and mephisto being a kisser of multiple asses (mephisto fans i'm sorry he's so fun to dog on)
i wish he could get his head outta his ass though. like actually. just pay your boyfriend a visit ffs, he'd be beyond happy to see you
of COURSE he's not in his room and of COURSE this is how the lesson ends
watch lesson 60 end with a michael-related cliffhanger. like watch them tease his design reveal and then just cut the shit off right before he's shown
but i need the michael design asap i'm so serious. solmare count your days

Two hearts can fix everythingÂ
Pairing: Wilhemina Venable x fem!ReaderÂ
Word Count: 1,3k
Tag list: @paulsonixââ @d14n4olââ @harknspetâ @strawberryshorttcakkee and if any of you want to be added just let me know!
Summary: Wilhemina Venable. A strange name, but one that has never caused a stir in the redhead's life. However, when a new coffee shop opens near Kineros Robotics, her unusual name is what brings Wilhemina and Y/N together. Charmed by Y/N's sweet smile, Wilhemina doesn't have the courage to correct the barista when she spells her name wrong every time the redhead orders a coffee and, as time goes by, a feeling grows in Wilhemina's heart and she is tempted to almost add an I and an L to her register.
But one day, this little misunderstanding has to end.
A/N: Hello! i'm back with something new!Â
fuck⌠I miss good fanfiction, so I got inspired and finally fell ok with writing again for this social network after all this time, and nothing better than writing about this pretty redhead who lives in our hearts...Â
I have in mind five chapters to this fanfic (to be really specific), but if you all like this I can extend the fanfic to 7 or 8 chapters, just like I did with (a very unprofessional) game changer .Â
As I said last time, English is not my first language so something might sound strange, but as always, I did my best.
Anyway this is basically a coffee shop au (mix w 5 times +1) were the cute barista keeps mispelling the other persons name but it's been too long now so the person don't even know how to tell them that without it being 100% awkward BUT happy ending included! And they are cute!!Â
Enjoy!
Synopsis of the story + Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5
Chapter 1
The first time that it happened, Wilhemina was supposed to go home after a really long day of work, because she couldn't be more irritated on a Monday. Jeff and Mutt started the week smelling like cheap booze and both extremely tipsy, stumbling between the rooms of Kineros Robotics while laughing for no reason at all. Even though the redhead knows that their brains are absolutely useless for anything, she still finds herself getting irritated by their lack of professionalism. And this irritability gives her a headache right away.
The redhead took an antibiotic for the pain, even though her back wasn't bothering her, silently and uselessly wishing that the relaxing medicinal effect would be directed at the throbbing pain in the middle of her forehead. Her primary instinct is to simply get into her car and go home, but as she leaves the building where she works, a sign shines in the sunset across the street and consequently catches Wilhemina's attention.
The sign had been ready for a few days now, full of green plants and eye-catching flowers to the point that the redhead believed it was a flower shop. But now it is clear, thanks to the colorful and festive letters that basically scream âGardenhouse Coffeeâ, that it is a coffee shop.
And the redhead simply knows that she will not like it there.
Wilhemina can see, just through the ornate glass of the colored windows, that this is not the kind of place she frequents. It is a mix of shades of green, yellow, purple, pink and blue that contaminate the redhead's vision. She knows that she cannot call it ugly, because even though it is confusing it does not seem ugly. It is just not for her. Definitely not for her.
But when the redhead's headache worsens, as a reminder of her current situation, Wilhemina imagines that, perhaps, there is no harm in visiting the place. After all, the cause of her headache could be the lack of coffee in her day. It made sense since she did not drink coffee in the morning and also did not stop her work for it at any time during the day.
And suddenly, getting rid of this pain quickly turns out so important to Venable that she crosses the street and enters the coffee shop right away.
The inside is not as bad as the facade. There are wooden tables with several plants in different colors, but with green and brown staying everything seems to make more sense. The place is busy, but everyone is already seated at their respective tables and engaged in parallel conversations, and knowing that she doesn't have to wait for anyone to place her order or stand under the gaze of strangers while waiting for a measly coffee makes Wilhemina calmer.
The coffee shop is not as small as Wilhemina imagined looking from the outside, and part of the redhead is surprised to discover that only one woman works there. She wears a light brown apron with some plants printed on it, as well as the name of the coffee shop and a name tag.
Y/N.
The name is written clearly, in a size acceptable to be seen from a distance and with beautiful handwriting. But what really catches Wilhemina's attention is her face. Y/N has bright eyes and a smile that seems to shine in the middle of the coffee shop, as if she were a being oblivious to all the evils of the world. And Wilhemina almost gets scared when her eyes shine with a kind of natural affection directly in her direction.
âHello, welcome to Gardenhouse Coffee! How can I help you?â, her voice is also soft, full of joy and Wilhemina canât decide if she likes it or not.
âJust the menu.â, the redhead didnât mean to, but her voice came out less inviting than she anticipated.
âHere. Just let me know if you need anything, or if something on the menu is confusing.â
âI believe I can find myself on a sheet of paper. Thank you.â
Y/N doesnât answer her, just nods and focuses her gaze on her own counter, as if looking for something to do besides looking at the redhead. When Venable focuses her gaze on the menu, she notices that the names are absurd. Full of lame puns, or ingredients that are not very inviting to her, and Wilhemina has absolutely no time for any of that, especially when her head starts to hurt again. So, she doesn't bother to look at the entire menu to turn her attention to the waitress in front of her.
"I'll just have a strong coffee, medium size. Black, no sugar or anything else.", as the words slip past her lips, Wilhemina slides the menu to the counter again, and as she does so she can see that Y/N notices that she is not available for any silly conversation in the middle of this sale, and the redhead feels grateful for that since her head continues to hurt more and more with each second.
"It's on its way! What's your name?", the waitress's smile is there again, but the question confuses Wilhemina.
Why does she want Wilhemina's name if she is the only one inn line there waiting for a coffee? And honestly, a simple, regular coffee doesn't take long to make so there's no chance that Y/N will forget what to do or to who it is directed before it is ready.
The redhead thinks about being unpleasant and asking questions in a loud and clear tone for everyone to hear, questioning the attendant's IQ until the incessant smile disappears from her face, but her head is about to throb without pause so Wilhemina just answers quickly before watching Y/N work.
"Venable. Wilhemina Venable."
Maybe it would be better for her back to just sit down, because the idea of ââthe pain in the center of her forehead being accompanied by a much more unpleasant one in the middle of her spine made her saliva taste bitter. But sitting carefully in chairs that seem too low, and then having to get up to leave with the same care, both to avoid hurting herself and to avoid attracting curious looks, is so exhausting that perhaps the first option is actually the best on a comparative scale.
It's official, she prefers to stand and only sit down when she is really comfortable and without pitying looks on her, in her car.
Trying to use the time she has in a profitable way, the redhead takes her wallet out of her bag and then her card, but as soon as she looks up, she sees Y/N writing something down in a cup filled with a dark liquid that Wilhemina could swear is hers.
It really was fast.
The cup is handed to her with a sweet smile, and Wilhemina almost feels obliged to mirror it, even if it was with a slight robotic lift of her lips, but then she sees it.
Wilhielmina.
At another time, Venable would have stared at the striking and beautiful line of the barista's handwriting on the glass, or even the two drawn hearts that accompanied it, but the error in her name screams so loudly in her ears that she can barely think of anything else while staring at the hot drink.
If the redhead were living an ordinary day, her first reaction would be to complain to the person in charge and ask the bright-eyed barista if she was illiterate. After all: an I and an L, really?
But her head hurt so much, her body was really tired and crying out for a shower, and her knees were now tired of supporting her weight.
Wilhemina really just wanted to go home. And so the redhead just grabbed the cup and gave the barista a polite nod before heading out of that rainbow-shaped nightmare, not caring if Y/N had said a word to her.
After all, Wilhemina wouldn't go back there.
The coffee must be bad, so she doesn't care if her name is spelled wrong.
She wouldn't go back there anyway.
