hi there - doing this to encourage everyone in the US to vote early and help others where they can! my first dnd character started out as a changeling assassin rogue (lmao) and I eventually took 6 levels as a battlesmith artificer; he became supremely more interesting to play once I multiclassed. the best thing the character ever did was cast feather fall on our paladin who had like 6 hp left in our final battle against Tiamat (the paladin got the final blow on Tiamat but then was going to fall just far enough that it would probably take him out, and nobody had any healing spells left at that point). it was a fun ending for the character to save someone with a level 1 spell.

man I love when low level spells do something important and crucial! That does sound like a really great ending for a character. But going back I think the battlesmith multiclass with rogue is really interesting! My feelings about assassin rogue are documented but the problem is the concept is very cool (see: my I Don't Even Entirely Go Here (yet) Lucanis Posting) but mechanically it doesn't super fit well into D&D 5e as it is played, and I think a high-utility partial caster tank multiclass opens up a whole lot for like, a more fun assassin concept with GADGETS, or alternatively just keeps you alive longer and gives you the ability to do such cool moves as save someone with feather fall. I bet that multiclass choice gave you some cool character arc stuff to do too!

Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I'll check old interviews and all the articles that vaguely mention the subject. Of course it goes without saying that I'll read though the FAQ in its entirety. Only then, will I send an ask. However, I'd be very polite and praise his work, as anyone would. I'd also keep it short, because I don't want to waste his time. But I'd keep it very very respectful. I'd be sending a message to a very talented, amazing author that deals with god knows how many like me. Or I'd just stay in the dark and not send him an ask. Yeah, I'll do that.

17 (oh if only) and 33?

17 is easy; I never really got into C1 fic, and while I've got opinions on C3 events the story is still unfolding and so my own opinions are constantly in flux and as such I'm open to a pretty wide variety of feelings about the plot in what little fic I read. So: basically, if someone is unhappy with the C2 ending beyond small details - ie, if they're mad that the Nein parted ways, or that Caleb didn't go on some life-ruining revenge tour, or are bitter about the ships - then I'm not interested in what they have to say.

33. I am sure I had something in mind when I wrote this question and then I had the super brain genius idea to do this meme, which is to be fair by design a thing I post as I do the 7-8 hour drive back from my hometown, and then also have a 1 hour meeting and a 2 hour d&d session. so. Brain is soup. Probably would ask Matt something about the Founding but again, expect me in a week to be like OH SHIT THAT WAS IT.
