I watched arcane for the sisters,their relationship was the heart of the show to me. I was beyond excited to see what would happen to them in season 2, and what did I get?

Hi! The artstyle is a bit different from what I usually draw but I liked to experiment this more cartoony style with Arcane x3 my goal was also to draw cartoon characters quickly

being able to see so much of yourself & your sister in both vi and jinx at the same time is such a visceral, indescribable feeling that you can only rly understand if you feel the same, i think.

So um, about this poster...

First, obviously it mirrors the s1 poster.

But the thing is, in the s1 poster, Vi is holding Powder in a very protective embrace. She's sheltering Powder as best she can (which actually makes the whole "Jinx written in Powders hair" that much more impactful, as if no matter what Vi does, she can't always keep Powder safe, especially from herself).

But in the s2 poster, Vi looks traumatised, and Jinx looks so controlling, its insane. It's less of a hug, and more completely wrapping her body around Vi so she can't leave. It almost looks like she's trying to hold on so desperately to Vi, and Vi just seems trapped by it.

Also what is this???

I can't figure it out, but it definitely doesn't look like Jinx's hand. If anything it looks like something to cover Vi's ear.

It's like Jinx is trying to protect Vi and keep her close, but is just sort of holding her away from everything (God my phrasing is awful)

Again, I'm quite ill at the moment so I'm not formulating points well, but I saw that thing next to Vi and I was like, yeah I've been reading this poster wrong

(Okay so a quick little edit, this video by Schnee PERFECTLY summerises what I was trying to get at, it was actually a lucky coincidence it came up rn, bc I'm having a lot of trouble expressing my thoughts.)

There's something I love so much about Vi telling Jinx she won’t let HER stain the memory of her sister, only to soon tear apart "Pow-Pow."

Maybe in your goal to “protect” the memory of your sister Vi, you’re actually destroying a whole lot more.

Anyone else think it would feel pretty nice to just be stretched by the arcane for a second? No? Just me? Somebody else is bound to yearn for the feeling of being taken apart just to be put back together like that.
