I’m Not Okay (With the State of the Government)
I’m tired of walking around feeling like I don’t belong just because I’m enby… Gerard Way and the rest of MCR makes me feel completely comfortable for who I am, that’s why I’m a part of the community. The band always taught us to fight for what we believe in and not take no for an answer, so I’m not. The state of our nation is falling apart and I’m not gonna pretend it isn’t, if we don’t fight for this right now, then what the hell is it gonna take? What else has to happen to the “outcasts”, the “minority”, the “ones who don’t belong”? “It” has already happened to hundreds of people! I’m tired of being told to “choose my battles and fight for a worthy cause”. Those men, women, and children in prison ARE WORTHY, AND SO ARE YOU.
So if you ever see someone fighting to prohibit you from your humanity and existence in general, do like gerard told you, SPIT RIGHT IN THEIR FUCKING FACE AND YELL FUCK YOU.

Hi! I literally just discovered your blog through a mutual reblogging your size chart post. I'm absolutely gonna consume all the content you've got on your AU -- but while I do that, could you clear up one minute, unimportant thing that confused me please?
Why is Age taller than Wild?
(Literally it's the least important detail to focus on and yet I gotta ask lmao)
Ah thanks so much !!!
Age is taller than Wild because the shrine of resurrection kinda stunted his growth? If that makes sense? Age however never went through the shrine of resurrection and so his growth was never stunted. But he’s still not that tall I mean his parents are very short lol.

I'm hoping this video starts at the right time-stamp. If not, it's 47:18. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez makes a powerful case for why Americans leftists should vote for Kamala Harris.

ok as promised here's the post about botw-adjacent hyrule castle's theorized main entrance
so: as anyone who's explored the castle in breath of the wild or tears of the kingdom knows, there are limited entrances to the interior of the castle. there's the docks, some tunnels, the balcony of the observation room, etc. then there are a couple of side doors, like the ones to the guards' chambers, the library door that leads outside, the door(s) to zelda's room, etc. but like, none of those is a *main entrance*. you'd think it's obvious, duh, it's the door to the sanctum!
but here's the kicker. the sanctum doesn't lead anywhere.
you can't actually get anywhere else from the sanctum. you can get on top of the sanctum, sure, and you can get outside, but it does not connect to any other parts of the castle. There aren't even rubble filled doorways that would indicate that you could! (this is Very Likely so that you wouldn't accidentally end up in the boss fight in botw while exploring the rest of the castle, and like, that makes sense from a dungeon design point of view, but not from a *liveable castle* point of view.) this is ESPECIALLY frustrating because Creating a Champion literally states that Zelda's room is where it is so that she could get to the sanctum in less than 5 minutes without going outside. SHE CAN'T, NINTENDO, BECAUSE YOU REMOVED ALL INNER THE DOORS TO THE SANCTUM!!
so this creates the question: where was the main entrance before calamity then?
well, youtuber banan039 has an answer: under the observation room balcony! genious, i thought, that makes so much sense omg why wasn't that in there in botw. (by the way i'm in love with banan039's pre-calamity mod's progress videos they give me so much strength on my harrowing journey to trying to figure out intact hyrule castle's layout please go watch them and support the creator if you have the means.)
but uh yeah anyway turns out the door isn't there in botw because there's a cliff like right in front of it. well that's inconvenient, i thought, but idk, maybe the calamity caused it and collapsed the door.
NOPE! that door was never in there even pre-calamity in breath of the wild canon!
Tumblr media
(https://www.reddit.com/r/Breath_of_the_Wild/comments/7xkavh/hyrule_castle_town_on_its_prime_before_the/)
this screenshot is from the cutscene in champion's ballad where king rhoam appoints the champions. if you look closely, you can see that the area underneath the observation room (right above the castle gates) is the same texture as the cliffs around it, and you can see the bit of grass there, yeah, that would block the front door.
(also, minor spoilers for tears of the kingdom: you couldn't have anything under the observation room anyway because of the royal secret passage.)
and actually then i got to thinking: if the front door was under the observation room, what would be the purpose of the gatehouses??? and, as a friend pointed out, the narrow winding path that would be difficult to climb, heightening the castle's defenses????
so what makes the most sense is that the main entrance would be in the sanctum after all, especially since it was said in creating a champion that it would have had an indoors access to zelda's room. my current working theory is that there was a spiral staircase in one of the corner towers of the sanctum's lowest floor, but i have not yet been able to explore that area in depth enough to confirm that it could have been possible. however, it seems... plausible, likely even if i happen to find a spot with a lot of rubble on the floor, because that could be a staircase hole filled up. it's not the most conventional castle architecture but eh, it makes more sense than the front door being before either of the gatehouses, straight on the line of attack after the castle gate gets broken.
except.
THERE'S A FUCKING FRONT DOOR UNDER THE OBSERVATION ROOM IN AGE OF CALAMITY
Tumblr media
(https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Hyrule_Castle?file=Hyrule_Castle.jpg) (and a bunch of aoc cutscenes, though i wasn't able to find the one this screenshot is from.)
sigh.

Concerning Biden dropping out: I don’t think we’re doomed.
To be clear: I don’t think this was good, and AOC said it was mainly because democrats were caving to donors. I believe her.
But also—better to have a candidate the Democratic Party can unite behind than someone they’re actively calling to step away who refuses to.
I think having a nominee most elected democrats don’t support is probably one of the worst possible scenarios going into such a high stakes election.
Kamala is most likely to be the immediate pick, particularly if there’s a plan already in place which is likely, but despite the chaos part of me does hope that we have an open election.
Just cuz a big part of the issue with Biden is people felt trapped. They had no other real options.
So part of me feels like giving their base choices for who they have faith in is not the worst idea. I very much doubt there will be an open election though, we don’t have much time so chances are the plan is for Kamala to step in, and the more I think about it the more I think she might actually have a chance.
For one thing, Trump won’t be able to help himself from being blatantly racist and sexist towards her, which will hopefully alienate more potential voters.
And for another, it could build a lot of confidence if the democratic nominee is capable of essentially prosecuting trump on the world stage.
If it is Kamala, there’s three key things that need to be considered:
One, she’s got a long history of being a prosecutor. There’s legitimate reasons not to like her track record there but it’s not horrible experience for a candidate to have when running against a convicted felon.
Two, she needs a very strong VP pick.
three: she needs to fix one of Biden’s biggest flaws—she needs to fight the narratives being spread by Trump and Trump loyalists. Biden rarely communicated to the American public throughout his presidency, which let a lot of narratives take root

H.Res.888 - 118th Congress (2023-2024): Reaffirming the State of Israel's right to exist. | Congress.gov | Library of Congress
The manipulation and weaponizing of words now on a Federal level is truly mindblowing to me. Legally requiring to say all the talking point that Israel repeats when they can't debate the actual issues. Equating things with antisemitism as a law is going way too far.

If you're interested to see who voted for and against it, here is the link below. AOC for example voted for it.

100%. If the corrupt & violent system you're protesting is the one telling you when & how & where you're allowed to protest, how on earth do you think any change could happen?
Letting the people on top tell you that peaceful protest is the only way to change anything guarantees that change won't happen. We can't peacefully protest our way out of fascism guys, be so fr.
Tumblr media
Bullshit.
Martin Luther King isn't evidence that peaceful protesting works. He's evidence that even if you're peaceful, they'll still kill you.
The change wasn't in response to people listening to Martin Luther King. The change was in response to the riots that happened after he was murdered.
If you're able to command that protesters be peaceful, then you're able to command that the ruling class be peaceful. And if the ruling class were peaceful, the protests wouldn't exist.

RANDOM FACTS AND STUFF IVE NOTICED ABOUT MASTER KOHGA AND SOOGA!!!!!
Tumblr media
Kohga actually doesn’t really like the fact that ALL they eat is bananas, in one of his quests it’s said he’s tired of it and wants to try something new
Tumblr media
Sooga cant accept any help, his own clan needing to sneak around so he wouldn’t know they intended on helping him, and when you try to lighten his load of stuff to carry, he doubles it.
Tumblr media
Kohga is REALLY tall. Somewhere around 6’6.
Tumblr media
Soogas only interactive line when added in a team with someone, aside from Kohga(and probably terrako i havent finished aoc) is Impa, where he says “I’ll be watching you.” ..seems he isn’t a big fan of her
Tumblr media
Kohga is the only yiga with purple in his design, a color as stated in the master book is associated with danger and power, such as when silver monsters have purple markings. The patterns also kind of resemble a blue ringed octopus, I’ve noticed
Tumblr media
Kohga is actually pretty cowardly when it comes to fighting monsters and getting hurt unless it’s about his clan, in which case, he will sacrifice his own escape to save them from dying for him
Tumblr media
Oh the topic of this, he seems to have a lot of love and concern for his clan, seeing them as way more than just his underlings. When they sacrifice themselves for him, he says “why is everyone only worried about me?”
Tumblr media
When followed up after he uses the Shieka ice rune, Sooga carves a statue of Master kohga out of ice. He MUST bow to the statue before doing anything and you aren’t able to control him until he is finished bowing. If something breaks the ice statue while he is bowing, Sooga cries out in anger and delivers three huge slashes at whatever broke it.
Tumblr media
^^(Which, wanna add, the statue thing kinda implies Sooga is artistic enough to create ICE SCULPTURES????)
Kohga and Sooga seem to be mirrors of Link and Zelda, Sooga and link both being quiet bodyguards with a sword, and Kohga and Zelda both having magical powers and coming from a “royal” bloodline
Tumblr media
Aaaand that’s all for now! Gonna reply to my asks tmw

Jonathan V. Last at The Bulwark:
We now see that most institutions are weak in the face of authoritarianism. JVL’s Law is: Any institution not explicitly anti-Trump will eventually become useful to Trump. I originally thought this would apply only to media orgs. Turns out that it applies to everyone and everything. From Ross Douthat to John Fetterman, from Paul Weiss to Facebook. All of our institutions are the Republican party now.
This is an extraordinary moment and it requires extraordinary vision and actions. We must stop viewing political life through the lens of American politics as we have known it, and adopt the viewpoint of dissident movements in autocratic states. The Democratic party has more to learn from Alexei Navalny or the protesters in Serbia than it does from Chuck Schumer or strategists obsessing over message-testing crosstabs. This battle is half mass mobilization and half asymmetric warfare. Over the next year those tactics will matter more than traditional political messaging as it has been practiced here in living memory. Once you accept that reality, our next steps become clear.
The rough roadmap for how to proceed goes like this:
Demonstrate popular power in the provinces through large-scale rallies.
Use these events to organize the resistance into a mass movement that can be called into action.
Direct the mass movement into targeted political strikes: Getting blowout wins in special elections; boycotts of Tesla; etc.
Politicize everything: Attack the authoritarians for every bad thing that happens, anywhere in the world. Flood the zone.
Elevate the corruption/graft in a way that pits the billionaire insiders against the “forgotten man.”
When the moment is right, bring this movement to the Capital for a show of strength.
Use this demonstration as a slingshot to take back legislative power in the 2026 elections.
More importantly, use it to send a message to the institutional actors that people will have their back if they show courage.1
2. The Near Term
Winning in 2026 will not be sufficient to stop the authoritarian push; but it is necessary. And the only way to win is people power. That’s it. No institutions are going to save us. The courts won’t stop the authoritarians. Corporate interests won’t stop them. The Democratic party won’t stop them, either. If the authoritarians can be stopped then the Democratic party will be the vehicle through which people wield power. But the Democratic party, as an institution, is too weak and desiccated to stage a real fight against Trumpism. It will have to be pushed into fighting by a mass popular movement. AOC’s public events over the last week have been exactly what the opposition needs.
She is making herself a rally point and telling everyone who wants to resist that they have a place to go. She should do these rallies, over and over, across the country. But not in Washington or New York. Not yet. When you look at the history of dissident movements, they almost always begin in the outer provinces. The autocrats’ power is greatest near the literal center of the government they control. The further you get from their power center, the weaker their hold and the more risks they have to take if they want to put down demonstrations. AOC went to Denver and Phoenix last week. She needs to go to Nashua and Nashville. Houston and Chicago. Oakland and Oklahoma City. The bigger these rallies get, the better. Make them ongoing events. She will need an infrastructure. It’s not enough to get 30,000 people in the streets. You need to get them organized. People in the pro-democracy space will need to help figure out how to do that—how to turn live attendance into lists that can be activated.
3. Solidarity
The last piece of the puzzle is leadership and solidarity. The dissident movement needs a leader. AOC has been the primary person to step up, though Chris Murphy and a few others have been banging the drum. Maybe in time someone else will emerge as a more potent leader for the movement they are incubating. But either way: Without a leader, this movement will not materialize. People need a rally point. History makes that clear. Whoever this leader is, she will be imperfect. In addition to being imperfect, she will not be everyone’s first choice. If you are a Paul Ryan-style conservative, you will have many disagreements with, say, AOC. If you are a progressive and Mark Cuban becomes the leader of the opposition, you will have many disagreements with him. Hear me when I say this: There can be no purity tests in the pro-democracy opposition.4 You are either against Trump, or not. If you are against Trump then the anti-Trump movement must operate in solidarity. We do not have the luxury of saying, “Well yes, I dislike Trump. But Leader X wants higher marginal tax rates, so I can’t sign on with that.” This doesn’t mean you have to agree with everyone in the opposition. Just for the sake of argument, let’s pretend it’s October 2026 and AOC is the face of the opposition. You don’t have to suddenly love the Green New Deal and single-payer healthcare. You can disagree with those policies. But you cannot use those disagreements as pretext to distance yourself from the opposition movement. Remember: Any person or institution not explicitly anti-Trump becomes useful to him. You are either on the bus or you are off. And the point of solidarity is that everyone in the anti-Trump opposition needs to support one another. Again: History is clear on this. So that’s the plan. Find a leader. Bring people together in person, far away from the capital’s control. Build momentum. Organize your supporters. Harness the power of their mass. Build toward an explicit show of strength. Take back control of Congress. And then, if we’re lucky, we can start thinking about an endgame.
Jonathan V. Last wrote a solid piece in The Bulwark on how anti-Trump forces should think and act like a dissident movement: unite on opposing Trump and Trumpist Tyranny.
