I'm learning Clip Studio now because. Art programs. Uhh. Don't ask lol. But anyways. Quick little Impulse doodle because he's quite easy to draw so why not test out a new program on him. Therefore. Doodle.
Genuinely though Clip Studio is quite nice. I've been using a free trial version while I wait for the summer sale and it's very nice. Also. Adjusting my style just a bit. Gonna try and figure out a more detailed portrait-y style for illustrations and a simpler one for comics. Maybe. Idk I'm figuring it out :P

Man I don't even play Genshin anymore but sometimes I get a deep urge to draw Ayato and have to oblige. Now I'm sad I drew him today not yesterday but HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to my son. I was off a day and didn't even know until after I drew this.

a headcanon I just realized I have is that Light often has a lot of trouble living in the present moment and L often has a lot of trouble NOT living in the present moment. Light is a huge planner and forward thinker and accustomed to grinding through unpleasant current circumstances in order to achieve optimal future results. L is very keen on living for today and whatever is currently tickling his fancy and giving him the most excitement and pleasure and challenge, and prefers not to dwell heavily on the future nor the past. And I think that both of them normally feel uncomfortable and resentful if they are forced to do the opposite of what they are normally accustomed to doing.
#this kinda goes along with my headcanon that L experiences some kind of time blindness#he's not good at keeping track of time because he's always getting lost in the sauce with his various interests#/ he doesn't usually have to worry about being on a regular person schedule anyway#Light on the other hand keeps a strictly regimented day with every second planned in advance and accounted for and gets very irritable#If it's not#doesn't usually know what to do with himself if he's just made to sit there and chill#Can't imagine not thinking ahead to the consequences of most choices whereas L finds that something he'll worry about later maybe#And can't imagine being so organized about things and finds it depressing/boring to plan that far ahead#they might bicker about it but also find things to admire and appreciate about each other's different outlooks on this#light yagami#l lawliet#lawlight#headcanon#p

it's been over a whole month since i had a stupid argument with my parents about driving, a skill that i legally possess but hate doing because i have a special brain illness that makes me fear death and injury, but i'm still chewing over an absurd claim that it's "equally dangerous to go on a 14 hour train ride like you just did". literally how is that more dangerous. in what way. in what world. public transport is nice and good and i like it and i don't have to enter my personal torment nexus

We checked out Assateague State Park this morning and had a really nice time even though we were basically limited to the south beach since we had the pup. She usually is really excited about horses, but I suppose they're less interesting for her when they're just standing around

applied to a bunch of jobs! 😅🙏
#took me three days bc i really wanted my dad's input on my resume and he took a while to get back to me#but i reallyyyy wanted to have applications in my monday morning and now i do :)#also feeling much better aboutbthe whole thing now that i have stuff to be excited about#still really really sad abt leaving the kids at my current job tho#but i drove by some of the places i applied today and researched them and im really optimistic about some of them#i even heard back from one already which i was not expecting at all#she literally emailed me like half an hour after getting my application and started asking me questions#like a pre interview#so thats nice#we went back and forth a couple of times#its not my top top choice but that place isnt officially hiring and might take forever to back back to me#this place is a smaller home daycare type place and urgently hiring but the pay is super good and a home daycare environment might be nice#and the pay is pretty decent esp compared to what im making now#the top top place is a fancy pants private school that going to be way more thorough abt references and background check#so they'll take longer to get back to me#but i found out after applying that my friend's mom works there 🤯#so she's gonna ask her to put in a good word for me :)#but they're not officially hiring according to their website it just says they encourage people to inquire so i did#so p unlikely i would get that one but you never know#anyway!!!!#finally excited abt things and not just filled with dread and sadness abt leaving the current place and kids#still makes me sad but im not on the verge of tears thinking abt it anymore lol#this has been a shitpost
