Give support to Shelby, uplift the voices of women like her sharing their stories, spread awareness on what domestic abuse can look like so everyone can learn, and wait for more information. -CCs don't owe statements for conflicts they weren't involved in. Philza, Tommy, Quackity, Charlie, and other CCs close to Wilbur who aren't part of this don't owe you an explanation. They're people, they're most likely having to come to terms with the fact that a dear friend, someone who could've been like family, isn't who they thought he was. Have a fucking heart and cut it with the parasocial entitlement. I'm hoping Quackity will remove Wilbur from the Qsmp, but just like with Forever, he probably won't make a big announcement of it, and that's perfectly ok. I understand wanting to make sure you're not supporting a CC who would defend someone guilty of committing domestic abuse, but its still not your right to get anything from these people. If they share, they share. If not, then they don't. If you can't handle that, then leave.

-Having said the above, its worth noting that CCs aren't just a fun group of friends, they're coworkers. Much of what they say publicly and when they say it can be shaped or restricted by situations that can affect their careers or get them in legal trouble. You don't know these people personally or what goes on behind the scenes, its a network and you can't measure their responses the same way you would your own opinion piece. The CCs will always need to be careful about how they respond to an issue, and they will most likely respond in "safe" ways considering what's on the line. Not accusing anyone of anything, nor demonizing them for it, just something to keep in mind. They're human, but they're also working a job.

-If you have Lovejoy or Wilbur-related merch, DON'T THROW IT AWAY OR DESTROY IT. I've seen lots of people pointing out merch can be donated to thrift shops or shelters, and its more eco-friendly than burning or trashing. Remember, anything can be repurposed; a book, a hoodie, there's always someone who can find a use for it. Likewise if you want to keep your old merch, that's fine to. You can wear it if it brings you comfort, or if its something you just like the look of. As long as you're not supporting the source, you already have the merch so don't let people pressure you into thinking you're bad for keeping it if you're not ready to let go/throw away those $70.

---My Opinion Regarding His Response

Everyone and their cousin has been dogpiling on Wilbur's response (rightfully), but I think people online don't understand how public responses work when there's legal team and PR interference. The tweet for me had a weird lack of personal touch and emotion from the guy I've observed to be very personal in his writings, whether its his music or a community post about a life update (blah blah parasociality I know, but I'm letting you know the observations I've made of his behavior simply as someone who notices these things). He also never explicitly stated Shelby's name, rather saying "that person" (you even had the textbook 'black text on a blank white background' screenshotted response). Finally, there was a consistent standing on Wilbur 'not being aware of how the other person really felt' regarding his actions. What I'm trying to say is... y'all really gotta start putting two and two together. Its a textbook PR response. As in, I'd be surprised if Wilbur had over 50% involvement in making it because the wording is exactly how it reads when a response has been initiated by someone's lawyers rather than themselves. The reason he doesn't take more accountability and openly admit to having abused Shelby (other than the obvious public backlash) is probably cause his lawyers are banking on the feigning ignorance angle, that Wilbur didn't intentionally abuse Shelby and was ignorant to how his actions affected her. Its the best way to get him out of hot water on the legal side, because again, this isn't messy drama; its a genuine accusation of a crime. I don't think the response is tone deaf and unaware, I think its a deliberate and measured legal move not even fully created by Wilbur himself. This isn't to say I think he's innocent, but I do know that Shelby and others have brought up some serious accusations, and Wilbur is lawyering up as a result.

---Nuance

Prefacing this part by saying that things are not looking good for Wilbur in regards to what other CCs have brought up about him, and I fully believe and support Shelby, hence why I support that the community should start distancing from him and his work. But I would like to take this opportunity to look into the greater aspects at play. We are within a system that brings up men to do what they want without teaching them to be considerate and aware of the consequences. Men are taught their harmful behavior is perfectly fine, often at women's expense, which makes these situation a very different story depending on who's telling it. Its because of this that we need to critically analyze the system and how it causes men to turn out as they do, instead of giving an immediate opinion without any nuance.

There's a possibility that Wilbur is being genuine in not realizing how bad his actions were. There's a possibility he truly is a manipulative liar who knew exactly what he was doing. He could be a piece of shit. He could be genuinely trying to improve and do better. We don't know. I'd say its pretty cut and dry that he hurt Shelby, and for that I'm glad she's getting justice for herself and spreading awareness. But if we're to entertain the idea of redemption, we need to look at situations like these with nuance so that we can understand the "why". I'm not trying to justify Wilbur's actions or even give him the benefit of the doubt, I have no idea what's going on in that guy's head. I'm just putting this out there because its something I want everyone to think about, especially when it comes to topics regarding narcissism and mental health issues. Don't support him or Lovejoy, just keep something like this in mind for the future.

---The Community/Now Displaced Fans

To everyone who's immediately telling Wilbur's fans (the ones that don't support his actions and are actively mourning no longer being able to enjoy his stuff) to just listen to other music or move on, and who are celebrating each negative new thing that comes out about Wilbur's current status, sincerely, shut the fuck up. You are completely lacking in empathy or emotional intelligence, and what you're doing is the last thing the community needs. Wilbur and his work could have and for many did get fans through some of their hardest moments, and losing that wonderful sense of community you get from streamers and their work (especially with the roleplay stuff) is awful. It fucked me up losing that after almost a year, for some of his fans its been even longer.

If you're a (former) fan of his, its ok to feel like shit. We're human, we get attached and we grieve losing something like this because that's how capable we are of loving. Take your time, as long as you know where to stand (supporting Shelby and raising awareness on domestic abuse), you're doing good. You can keep enjoying his characters and work and making content about it, separating the art from the artist (though don't stream his music from platforms that would give him the money, find a way to pirate it).

This sucks. I feel it as a casual fan who was once hugely into his content, I can imagine what its like for those who were huge supporters all the way up until now. You didn't do anything wrong supporting someone you thought was a good person, its just a thing that happens and its so fucking shitty. You ain't alone though, I know some of you have that knee-jerk reaction to avoid anything to do with him but reaching out to others in the community and actually processing it all is way better, you won't be bottling it all up. Don't be afraid to continue engaging with this part of your life until you're ready to move on from it in your own time, and be kind to yourself. From someone who went through exactly what you are now, trust me, you'll get through it.

When Yuu was finally able to get out of the ceremonial robes and into more comfortable clothes on the first night in Ramshackle, it came as quite a shock to Grim and the ghosts when they unwrapped their hair to the point the tips touched the ground. Given how dirty it was, however, Yuu had to quickly tie up their hair to keep it away from the dust.

“Where did you put all that?!” Grim asked, patting a paw against their hair as they tried to run their fingers through the long strands. “Why is it so long?!”

“Because I wanted it to be long?” Yuu replied with a shrug.

“Oh…do all humans have long hair?”

Despite being a chaotic gremlin in the beginning, Grim is more curious about the length and texture of Yuu’s hair than anything. At some point he realizes just how warm it is and will often be found practically wrapped up in it, snoozing away and just enjoying the comforting scent of their shampoo.

And then there were the monster students.

Hair is not a foreign concept by any means to these monsters, though the fact that there was someone who had hair this long? It reminded so many of those who knew the story of the Sun Kingdom and the princess with long hair who used incantations on a golden flower to bring her lover back from the dead!

“…your hair doesn’t glow, does it?” Ace asked, bouncing Yuu’s hair in his hands as he held it up to see it in the light.

“If it starts glowing, feel free to freak out, because I sure will!”

An issue that they came across, however, was how often the long strands got caught underfoot by monsters near them. More than once did their head jerk back because someone happened to step on it, whether they were trying to stand up or move to another spot. It happened more than once to the point Yuu’s neck started to hurt from the frequency. Such things didn’t go unnoticed by a certain unicorn…

“Honestly, you’re going to ruin your hair and your posture if you keep letting it drag on the floor like a mop,” Vil scolded them, the unicorn’s lion-like tail swishing in agitation as he worked through the newly formed knots.

“I can just put it up in a ponytail or a bun,” Yuu told him. “It’s no big deal.”

“Absolutely not! If you’re going to keep your hair this long, then at least do something more presentable and functional to keep it healthy and strong.”

So began the long process of Yuu having to sit through lessons on hair care from Vil. They watched as he worked in the mirror to fashion their hair into new styles, referencing videos he’d watched online and resources for hair that closely fit their own to ensure he knows how to care for and teach Yuu. They listened as he instructed them on how to braid or twist their hair into styles they never even considered, and before long they were walking out of Pomefiore with hair care samples and a long, thick braid that hung at the back of their knees. It was a little heavier than they were used to, but not unmanageable.

It certainly made it easier to dance and run after their friends when a certain gremlin chimera got up to mischief!

When Cheka comes to visit, Yuu can’t help but notice how much he acted like a kitten that they just…couldn’t help but let him play with their hair. It was adorable to watch at first, but—like all things in Twisted Wonderland—something inevitably goes wrong.

“How did he get tangled up in your hair this badly??” Jack asked as he tried to figure out how to unravel the giggling child from their hair.

“Ow…Cheka was just so cute playing, and I only looked away for a second,” Yuu said, their hands on their scalp to keep the tugging at a minimum. “I didn’t think he’d get tangled up like this!”

“Halp!” Grim cried out, squirming around Yuu’s hair as well.

“Ow ow ow ow! Grim, stop! You’re pulling on my scalp!”

“I’m starting to think that human hair is used to trap prey,” Ruggie commented with a snicker, though his fingers were still combing through and untangling the hair quicker and easier than Jack.

After all is said and done, Yuu’s hair is quite fascinating even to Cater’s Magicam followers, leading to some crazy hairstyles and designs to be created (and lots and lots of safe hair dye and hair spray to be used). If Yuu wants to use a rainbow of colors or specific ones for their hair, Vil and Professor Crewel will find ways to help do so without damaging the roots or strands with harsh dyes or bleach!

Straight? Curly? Wavy? Dreadlocks? Afros? Any style and texture of hair a human could have! Imagine the possibilities with styles and colors in a world where Yuu can literally ask someone to use magic to see how something would look! And there wouldn’t be any issue with returning it to normal because magic~!!

Kudos to those of you who are able to confidently dye your hair wonderful colors, I love seeing the hues that can be done ;;v;; I'm too chicken to do it to my own hair, so I live vicariously through seeing others do it. 😃

As a disabled person how people treat Viktor really pisses me off.

They either infantilise him or make him overly independent.

We can and will take help from our family/friends! My friends regularly carry my things if I'm having a bad pain day! Jayce helping him with tasks isn't an inherently bad thing to include in fan content (especially if it's the point of time where they've known each other for multiple years. Even non disabled people take help from their good friends!)

I feel like so many people are too fucking scared to actually talk to a disabled person about what kind of help they'll take/what is reasonable to include in fancontent so they don't include disabled characters taking any help when it's appropriate to include. Also just bc Viktor's ill doesn't mean he's not a decently young man, allow him to behave his age!

I WISH more people would take the time to ask their disabled friends or even make a post online that's like "hey if you have a disability like Viktor's can you answer these questions for fancontent research" because majority of people will answer questions!

Also way too much of the Arcane fandom is just fucking ableist yeah Imma just say it because it's infuriating it's not even just with Viktor. The way some of y'all talk about Jinx's schizoaffective/BPD symptoms makes me realise y'all have never met a person with psychosis in y'alls lives. Especially when Timebomb is brought up because Jinx can definitely be in a relationship especially post season2 considering the fact she's learning how to deal with her illness shown when she breaks the cycle.

I have no comments on how Sevika fits into this I don't see much mention of her amputated arm. I just love her and she deserves a mention bc she's also an amazing disabled character!

Anyway I love Arcane's disabled cast and will hold them deep in my heart forever.

It’s sad how disabled characters are treated in fandoms. People’s lack of research and care towards disabilities is incredibly frustrating ESPECIALLY in regards to shows like Arcane. Wild how so many people’s favorites are Jinx and Viktor yet they boil those characters down to stereotypes and infantilization.

Good response to the "bubble" anon. There's something people in online fandoms need to realize, we are a very small minority. Forget about the BuckTommy bubble or the Buddie bubble, the online fandom for 9-1-1 is itself a bubble. And it's so small in the scheme of things.

A big post might get a few thousand likes on Tumblr. Put those likes against the ten million US & Canada-based viewers 9-1-1 gets weekly, and the online fandom size looks silly in comparison. Then consider that some of those likes on Tumblr are from people living outside of the US and Canada. And that many of those likes are from people who don't watch the show. Those are people who do not matter when it comes to TPTB when their focus is on the bottom line.

The majority of viewers aren't in a fandom for this show. They're more go-with-the-flow. More importantly, they're more likely to base their opinions on what is actually happening on the show whether they love the story or hate it.

This is all to say, regardless of how they feel about BuckTommy, most non-fandom viewers accept they were a couple. Most non-fandom viewers would never even consider Buck and Eddie as romantic because they don't spend countless hours thinking of all the ways Eddie's secretly not the straight character the show is telling us he is.

Those "journalists" are aiming for online fandom views, not the general audience. And so many of them come from that space. You're not getting pros established in TV journalism writing about Buddie. Even if they secretly shipped them, they know better.

Yeah, you sum it up pretty perfectly here. Not only us, but also Buddies, are a really small (tiny, even) part of the show's viewership. That's why I laugh whenever I see a Buddie threatening to boycott the show, because they simply do not have that power.

Matter of fact is that, based on what we've seen, BT was generally liked by the GA, enough that we saw some of them go out of their way to express their disappointment post 806. And we also know that Buddie isn't a generally liked ship by them, as they'd prefer for them to stay friends. And, honestly, I think this is one of the things that make them extremely mad, the knowledge that our small ship has resonated with the GA audience in a way their hasn't.

(Also, I want to say that this follows what the writers and showrunners wanted. The GA liking BT romantically but not Buddie makes sense, because only one pair was presented as romantic, and it wasn't Buddie. The audience likes things as they are presented to them. They aren't looking up the magnet theory).

Lastly, yes - the journalists very much come from an online space, and they all know what goes on in the 911 fandom. That's why a lot of them choose to cater to the bigger online presence; the same presence that will bully them if they do not cater to them. At this point, these journalists are very much making their own bed, for as they are promising things (in a way) that I honestly believe even they know won't happen. And when all is said and done and things, inevitably, don't go the way the journalists tease, hell will rain on them. But as I say - they're making their own bed (also known as- if you fuck around, you will find out).

Okay I'm about to share some truths that maybe someone else can relate too or whatever because honestly. Whatever at this point. Under the cut. It's about Covid times affecting stuff for those interested.

Also yes I know the answer is probably therapy BUT consider this. No.

So. Covid-19 happened. We all remember that joyful time right? Cool. I had covid twice. Had it for a month then had it for like two/three weeks or something similar afterwards. I'm not 100% those 2 1/2 - 3 years are pretty much a blur for me tbh.

THANKFULLY! I have had no long lasting effects on my physical health. Had a few hospital visits since covid but like irrelevant ygm? ANYWAYS not to get sidetracked. Mentally? I haven't been me since covid happened. I have blamed it on the seasonal (also see: year round) depression. I blamed it on the anxiety. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I REALISED? I DIDN'T HAVE THOSE BEFORE COVID! Well okay thats a lie but they didn't fuck me up so much before Covid.

AND it's not even just wah i wanna go blast music to get away from my thoughts or curl up in the fucking shower and just cry and rock like some kind of fucking rocking horse. I was talking to my mom earlier and she was like "you used to be so observant and now you don't even notice the things you're staring at" and I was like "well duh. I don't have the fuckin energy for that" (without the fuckin I don't really swear in front of my parents that much tbh) AND THEN I WAS LIKE WAIT

2o24 recap! ...sorta

all previous years got deleted for location concerns and i won't say much from this year. half of the year was Not Good. but the other half was Pretty Good?

stayed very close to my favorite cartoon for the first half of the year. i was very, VERY sick for a good chunk of it, and genuinely having online friends around often and having cartoons to focus on is what got me through it. and my husband, who put up with A LOT of bullshit dealing with a sick wife for months. also Kick Buttowski's attitude is infectious, you feel like you can do anything when you're in that mindset, and it helped lots! joined a KB:SD server and made some new friends. i met Kick's VA at a local convention too!!

an arcade opened up near us and i spend, uhhh,,, a lot of time there. usually once a week, sometimes more if people are around, but i have a consistent DDR schedule now both on cab and on home setup, and it slaps. it SLAPS. i fucking love DDR and when i get too old and my legs stop working i might as well just drop dead tbqfh.

met Khaliar and Ginger this year! i gave them drawings and letters written in Irken and we fooled around in a bookshop for a few hours, i was too sick to stick around in the city very long so my other plans fell thru but i'm happy the stars aligned to let me meet them at least!!

in the spring i got SO sick that i stopped eating, sleeping and driving far. almost lost my job from being unable to work. it was a virus at first and then anxiety took the reigns and things just got? really bad? i still can't travel because of it. BUT i love food again and can sleep easily and all things considered, we have to look at the bright side and take victories where we can. they're small for me compared to my peers. but i'll keep building on it in 2025.

over the summer we had ARTFIGHT!! and a sudden (?) WOY obsession!! joined another server and watched all of season 2 with Vermi and Hux and a bunch others, it was SO fun! affected who i attacked in AF for sure lmao, sorry to most of my Irken and Vortian bookmarkssss aaaaa (but still got a Vort Mass attack in >:3!)

the fall was probably when i got back to feeling mostly normal again. we had just closed on a new condo, so there were pressing matters to deal with and it helped shake me out of my own head and focus on those things. lots of construction and 700 things going wrong later, and we moved in! it's awesome, we lived in what was basically a single room before, and this is sooooo much more comfortable and it's been so fun to decorate and make our own.

the fall has also been a mini Weeb Phase(TM), i fucking guess. got really into Dandadan thanks to my wonderful friends, but i was PAINFULLY into it to the point that waiting for updates was just sooo hard. so i asked for recommendations for anime/manga to fill the void and instead of TAKING those SUGGESTIONS and WATCHING/READING THEM i instead went back to my favorite anime of all time. which is. regrettably. Osomatsu-san. truly the garbage dump of anime. but i missed the boys so. here we are. i um, bought a hoodie (got 3 of them now), and figures, and DVDs, and i can't fuckignnnnn stop, and uhhh aaaaaaaa anyway. also played lots of webfishing and minecraft with friends, it's been A Lot of fun and feels a lot less, idk. alone? than the beginning of the year felt.

goals from 2023 for 2024 included find a new place to live (done!) and travel around the northeast more (not done!)

definitely need to push the envelope for 2025, or i'll be stuck physically in the same place forever. i was happy in my job last year but not now, so i've been casually applying. bigger place means higher bills so, aughghghh. i still want to learn Japanese, which is extremely difficult with zero self-discipline and eternal distractions. i started in 2022 and then got distracted by like, World's Longest Invader ZIM Obsession and dropped it. so i'll try but it just is what it is unless i can get into local courses with grades on the line.

📱 as i said government assigned agent to keep tabs on you on what you do on the internet and stuff. you aren't the first one he was assigned to watch but something about you seems different.

 📱he started this gig because of life circumstances that lead him to take some not so ethical and moral choices, so him taking on this job to watch a cute lil guy like you wouldnt be the worst thing

📱the cash is pretty good, he doesn't do much on the job really as he just watches well you. which definitely beats he's previous active life style where he had to take care of some people

📱now he's looking to settle down and there you were! being all cute for him! atleast that's what he believes because you are so darn cute when you don't realize you're being watched by him

📱harp isn't his real name, that's just his code name. he left his old life behind to start a new one. He doesn't want anyone to know his real name. Despite wanting to be closer to you he would still want some distance between you and him since he's never had anyone to be close to emotionally.

📱His descent to obsession with you is a slow one. Like real slow but undoubtedly its a slow but sure process. He started personally going through your accounts, photos and the like on his off time. it's so weird to talk about being an atheist online I imagine a good portion of my followers are atheist, including ones who are culturally or ethnically of another faith but consider themselves atheist. I'm pretty sure I follow mostly atheists (I can think of a few that aren't but anyways)! But I basically never see posts about it on here, I'm assuming because religion is one of those very hot topics no one wants to talk about? Plus I think the stench of "reddit atheism" puts people off from talking about it, lest people think they're actively anti-religion in a very racist way (like anti-muslim, anti-judaism, etc).

But being atheist is something many people increasingly are! And it's not something like "ohohoh atheist are So Oppressed!!!1" but it is kinda sad that it's just never really talked about ever though.

my very first understanding that there was something very different about me that set me apart from everyone I knew wasn't my autism or gender, it was my realization that I was atheist. I was very young, maybe 8 or even earlier, when it occured to me that people aren't all pretending to love God and Jesus at church. That they're all dead serious about that. I played along until I was 13 because I felt that it was something Wrong with me, like I had a mental illness that made me unable to feel Faith. I was homeschooled for a while so my only friends were the people from my church, but I was never able to connect with any of them much because the only thing that any of us had in common was our church, and since I didn't believe in it, I had even less things in common with them.

It was an extremely frustrating and isolating experience, especially since the church I grew up in was a fundamentalist Christian megachurch. All my parents friends were from church, we did church stuff at least twice a week if not more. My extended family was all Catholic so we also went to Catholic church on the high holy holidays.

I remember a point in high school where I decided to try and force myself to believe in God by making extremely sympathetic OCs that were being persecuted for being Christian in a scientific laboratory dystopia world (culturally Christian much @ past me???) And after a few chapters of writing I was like. This is so bullshit I can't do this.

And to this day, the closest thing I have to a religion is some occasional superstitions but they're so infrequent i can't even think of any to name. I knock on wood before I say something I don't want manifest, but it's a figure of speech to me, not actual will of the world.

I got to thinking about this because of that post and my comment about how I don't write religion and it's not from a place of being unable to write characters of faith, or a distain for world religions (I will say, fuck Christianity I have no respect for it and what it did to me), but because if I'm going to put things into the world I want them to be things I want to engage with, and religion is far from anything I want to engage with.

I am entering my 20s and have never had positive female friendships in the past (always delegated to the DUFF, never had friends who were particularly interested in my personal life and would only turn to me for advice or if they knew I could give them something). Hi love! Thank you so much. Finding meaningful, reciprocal friendship is not for the faint of heart, so validating your experience here.

It's great that you recognize the need for platonic relationships/connections aside from your partner (too many people fall into this trap!). Remember that if anyone judges you for something as superficial as where you live, those people don't deserve to be your friends anyways.

If I were in your shoes, here are the ways I would go about finding friends:

Find social activities involving your interests: Join or attend a club meeting about a skill, field, or cause you care about (think a painting class, social justice club, women in business/tech, etc.) to surround yourself with like-minded people. Having a common interest increases your chances of clicking with these people.

Strike up a conversation in class: Nothing bonds people together like the monotony of a lecture, meeting, or going through a deck. Consider making a comment about the class or offer a genuine compliment to get the conversation started.

Immerse yourself in online spaces: While it's great to have friends to socialize with IRL, social connection is social connection at the end of the – whether it's virtual or in-person. Join some relevant Facebook groups, Discords, Reddit communities, etc., and follow like-minded individuals on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr, to get started. You never know who you will connect with once you put yourself out there!

Send them a relevant message at some point over the next few days to stay connected. Try something related to the conversation – like an article on a topic you discussed, or a recommendation for a coffee shop in the area. Or, get more personal if you’re comfortable, and ask how a meeting went, if they ended up liking a certain show, movie, or book, or whether they want to grab lunch at that place they mentioned they love. Remain thoughtful and interested without looking desperate. People want to what know others are thinking about them as long you’re not obsessive.

One More Friendly Reminder:

Different Friends Can Serve Different Purposes: Have your class friends, going to lunch or weekday meals friends, going out friends, and then your genuinely close friends (if you find 1-2 of these types of friends, that's plenty and very lucky!). Don't be afraid to spend most of your time alone. As long as you have some social interactions and put effort into this area of your life, remember that we all have solo seasons or days. Think of this time as an opportunity to reflect, work towards your goals, and spend time with yourself to discover what you really enjoy and want in life.

Robooty Reviews: Yandere Kanojo (7/10)

My first manga I ever laid mein precious little eyes upon... hoo boy is this one nostalgic! You can definately see how it influenced my artstyle lol. It's incredibly charming imo and i fuckin love it. anyways this manga is about a yankee girl reina and her new nerdy boyfriend tanaka (who is most definately not a yankee) and them having slice of life swag together. It's all done in a 4-koma style but is incredibly charming with a delightful cast of fun characters and quite a few interesting dynamics + jokes! Just be careful, there two versions of this story, the print and online one and they contain the same plot but have different comics each. I recommend reading both since its kinda like getting more in between stories (except when it comes to the end with the more plot heavy stuff then they diverge a bit)

I will say that when i was younger i struggled to appreciate tsubasa and hijiri properly, but now I quite enjoy their addition to the friend group. I also have always loved the cafe manager and his gay ass chef. I used to reference the pannel where he goes "okay now stand next to me so i can grab your ass every once in a while (itll keep me motivated)" all the time. I do appreciate how in the print version theres also the long ass baseball arc but thats just because i love baseball lol

but okay. imma be ngl rn guys. this manga scored a whole extra point or two purely because it has Ran and Kouichirou Ryuuzaki (reinas parents). Guys. They are the best fucking couple ever. I WISH THERE WAS AN ENTIRE SIDE MANGA FOR THEM THEYRE SO GOOD THEYRE SO GOOD UGHH I LOVE HUSBAND WIFEEEE!!! The yandere in the title is actually supposed to stand for "yankee-dere" (lol shows age doesnt it?) but its alright, because ran is a true yandere. Shes protective and smiley and cutsey and literally kills people and has a demon in her heart. and her husband kouichirou has a scary face and insane social anxiety so everyones terrified of him because he just stares at people but its because hes terrified of everyone else. ITS SO GOOODDDDDD!!!! SHES SO OBSESSED WITH HIM AND ADORES HIM AND HE LOVES HER INCREDIBLY DEARLY TOO GIVE ME THE FUCKING MANGA SPIN OFF THATS JUST THEM!!!! I say this all the time but conservatives and transphobes and the like are literally the only people who have the whole "But what if-" problems with pronouns. "Oh so if someone wants me to call them 'god' i just have to call them that?" name ONE person who has asked you to call them god. I know a lot of people, I've seen a lot more people than I've met, I'm chronically online for christs sake. I have yet to meet or see one person who does that. And the fact that so many of them use strawman arguments like this all the time means that we have to point it out all the time. It gets to the point where "Strawman" loses it's meaning and the conservatives don't take it literally anymore, they forget why we keep calling it that. Because that's what it is. I tried explaining to my mother about pronouns once, which was difficult for sure because she's one of those "Keep an open mind! Not me though, I'll never consider your side of the argument because Ben Shapiro told me that's what liberals do" types of conservatives. Anyway, she pulls out the whole "So what, if some random person at a convenience store happens to want to be called 'master' all the time, I have to just call them that?" and like...mother...no. You don't know that person so 1, you're not going to interact with them 2, you can just walk away if you don't like it 3, nobody has that as their neopronoun and if they do i guarantee you they don't force it onto randoms at the store because they know just as well as you should that you two are never going to meet again! Anyway, back on topic, terfs and conservatives also like to call us "Obsessed" because we want to explain simple fucking 3rd grader concepts to legal adults rather than leave them blind. WE'RE obsessed, apparently. Yeah, I've never seen anyone more obsessed with anything than Conservatives / Terfs are obsessed with trans people and pronouns. Genuinely. I have multiple autistic friends, my sibling is also autistic. They all have their interests and obsession, hyperfixations, the like. For my sibling, it's tanks. They've L O V E D tanks and tank related things their whole life! They have like over 3000 hours on War Thunder purely because they like the tanks. They've spent hundreds of dollars on tank figurines and....well, you get the point. But you know what they haven't done? Start a podcast about how much they like tanks, while talking about them 24/7. They aren't going on the internet to rant about tanks, or going up to random people and saying "Well clearly you don't know how tanks work" when tanks weren't part of the conversations. They don't randomly insult someone else or insinuate that the person is inferior because of their lack of tank info. They don't vote for people purely because the person likes tanks. They LOVE tanks, but they're not an asshole and they're not stupid. You know who DOES do all those things? Conservatives and terfs. Just replace "Tanks" with "Trans people". I haven't heard a single Ben Shapiro episode (I hear a lot of them, my parents are binge-listeners) that didn't mention trans people. That man is a walking Cognito hazard because he makes my brain rot with how much he talks about trans people. I'm literally trans and i don't even talk about it that much.

Last song played: Dance of the Moonlight Jellies from the Stardew Valley soundtrack... 😊 It's one of my go-to songs to play on repeat when I'm writing, and I was writing a little before bed!! I love how it has the gentle wave sounds underneath the music, it adds a really soothing effect for me. Also while I was not writing this scene (I've already long since written it ahaha) there is a very very special scene in my fic centered around the Moonlight Jellies festival so... :3 I kind of associate it with them anyway.

Favourite colour: Brown, specifically umber :3 I also really like olive drab green! I used to wear camo a lot because I was like wow, all the best colors ghjdfkjds (how to spot a country butch) an earthy plaid is more my style now though

Favourite dish: Green bean casserole :3 I could eat it forever!!! I tried making it from scratch last year on Thanksgiving because I couldn't get the fried onions at the store and had dubious results lol need me an air fryer or something

Current favourite characters: The ones currently occupying my brain most are Alex from stardew valley, Cecil from uta no prince-sama, and Otis from ffxiv dawntrail. Rotating those three in my head and kicking my feet 😊 Sphene too but with an asterisk on her name, like Sphene but [redacted] spoiler spoiler 😞 Playing the music from that one dungeon on repeat all the time. Waves vaguely!!!

The all-time faves of Zenos and Lyse are also there but that's like a constant. 🥰

Currently watching: I never had a chance to see it before but my friend hooked me up with a way to watch the anime of uta no prince-sama finally!!!! I had read fan translations of the visual novels (though what I was reading was incomplete at the time, and I think I forgot to go back and check if it ever got finished) and I played shining live so I know the characters and their stories well but actually getting to see it all play out?? 🥺 Aaaaaaaa!!! I just watched episode 8 from the first season today while I was having breakfast

Last film I watched: The Watchers (2024)! I liked it!! Not the most compelling film I've seen but I thought it was decent! I love folklore but truthfully I know little about Irish folklore (my interest is more in American folklore) so I don't know how accurate it was to actual legends from the region but I found it really interesting!! If anything it makes me want to dig more into learning about the premise at some point :3

Current obsession: This might sound weird but I feel not so much obsessed with one series (as I have several on my mind strongly at the moment) but I feel like my current obsession is just with creating itself. Like drawing and writing, that's what's motivating me! I spend my whole day drawing for work but I'm not thinking about a game or a show as the reward at the end of the day, I'm thinking about writing or drawing for myself as my reward. If that makes sense? Maybe just something that comes with making art my job, I find greater passion in drawing for myself now :3

Last thing I googled: "When is spotify wrapped calculated" since I usually am listening offline, need to make sure I go online so it can sync my listen data before it's too late!
