hey love, i hope this arrives in one piece and nothing is cut off, as i am not sure anymore how much i can write in a tumblr ask. just to be sure, my message ends with a ":)"

i'm a larrie since 2013, but went on a work-related tumblr break in 2018 (i work in the music industry). i returned to tumblr last week, amidst deep shared grief 💔 to find solace in community. as i tried to cheer myself up by going through my favorite blogs (like yours, it's so wonderful) and trying to catch up -especially about Harry&Louis things that i missed in the last years-, i found the posts really feel like little nuggets of joy and i'm so grateful for that. so i decided i finally want to add to it, now that my industry commitments have downsized significantly. i haven't shared this in almost a decade (never online anyway) and it's not big news or anything, but whenever i remember it, it just makes my heart glow. so, one of my closest work-friends in the industry back in the days (and i'll use neutral pronouns to protect them) did two tours with them in 🦘 in 2013 and 2015. our shared work ethics and also contracts obviously forbade us both from sharing almost all of what was seen or heard (concerning the artists' personal business), but my friend knew i firmly believed Harry and Louis to be together, just closeted (and we both knew this sadly was very common in music or the film industry; meaning mgmt iron-closeting non-straight male artists was completely and automatically still considered The Norm back then, especially with male artists doing these kinds of numbers and having that large of a young fanbase). i never indulged in my reasons or theories, because i felt like i had a professional reputation to uphold and also with me being queer and in the closet as well, it felt too personal to discuss, back then. during the first tour in 2013, we didn't text much, they just said the band was all very friendly and crew was professional, they seemed "like family". the schedule was "brutal". and security constantly needed to be "tightened", due to invasive people trying to steal or replicate tour passes. i didn't ask my friend about Harry and Louis specifically --but admittedly we also weren't that close of friends at that point. during the second tour in 2015, we were though, and only a few days in, they out of the blue texted something that made me smile so wide, i honestly think my cheeks are hurting to this day. :D i quote: "hey so those two louis and h. can't tell you more but you weren't wrong!!!" i replied with ":DDDDDDD" (honestly felt like sending a million heart emojis instead) and about an hour later they sent "every here knows too!!!" and a correction: "everyone" and to this day, almost 10 years later, I keep these imessages saved, because it made me so happy. and i hope that sharing my time-capsuled precious memory will make someone else happy, too. their love is truly something so special. oh, and one of the two was really unlucky at the pokies (slot machines) and quite a sore loser, haha. I always guessed it was Louis, but I don't know. :)

Right on cue, gullible Gina received a fake ""2015 larry receipt"" today. They're really triggered over that Freddie tweet getting 125k+ likes huh. It's funny because I haven't seen any of their ugly larrie tweets get that many likes in 2024. It makes me happy to see the tide might be finally turning :)

That Australian tour receipt isn't believable at all. 1/10 for effort.

I know you write bl but please do not defend Emma. She is known in our fandom as a transphobic asshole. She has been openly transphobic to harries and larries because they think Harry MIGHT be trans. She is also homophobic with how she as a cis het white woman thinks she has more say in how a gay fandom needs to operate. There are years worth of receipts of this. She harassed my friend because they tagged Harry as a princess on their own blog and tried to call them homophobic for doing so. Im mutuals with authors who had to drop out of the bl fest for personal reasons, and then Emma and her friends started harassing them for joining a non bl fest months later. You should see how former blouie authors are treated by her after they dont write exclusively bl fics anymore. The reason BLP is not well liked in fandom is because of her. There is literally a top Harry fic fest run by an actual trans person and much more supported by larries. Louis bottoming isn't the issue. For years blouies have made that their only personality and harassed and sent so many larries death threats (me included) because we blog on our own blogs about Harry wanting to be pregnant or singing about sucking dick or anything that doesn't make him "a top". Blouies have ruined themselves for their entire fandom and that anon is a perfect example of how they are.

I don't exclusively write bl, I like to think I write fics where Louis gets taken care of one way or another. By bottoming, by subbing, by being cuddled; rn I have 2 smut fics, both of them sub Louis, one of them is them being vers (i.e. penetrating each other), the other *can* be considered bl, I did tag it as such, but the only penetration that happens is two lines of cockwarming. My current unpublished fics and ideas are:

Exploring the idea of topping from the bottom: i have a petplay sub Harry fic that's half-written, currently plotting a vaguely Dom transrry fic. First one will be Dom!bl, second one Dom!bh. Might have a third one, but I still haven't decided;

I did have run-ins with Emma back in the day; idk if you were there in 2015/16, but I have a whole tag where I actively fought people on Harry's possible gender identity, together with Angela and Jay (godspeed to both of them, they're much happier now believe me). It's been 8 years, I don't know what Emma is doing right now, besides managing the blff, and I don't know how she changed in eight years; eight years ago I was a staunch anarchist, and look at me now. You can come off anon and send me anything you might see fit, that would actually be great, and it would give me something to operate on. And on that point, I don't--think? That telling someone "hey yo instead of sending anon hate go and support the people who write/rec the fics you wanna read" is defending anyone? But it's understandable that if she's currently harassing people, that's a knee-jerk reaction.

Then to address your points about Louis bottoming... Again, I'm not sure, like. Feels a bit like you're barking at the wrong tree? One of my favourite smut authors is devilinmybrain (oh my god that 5+1 gross-hot fic nnnn) and I read, and to some extent write, quite happily everything as long as it's good. Like, both of them canonically have a prostate. It's a shame if they never use it. And Harry being feminine has nothing to do with Harry bottoming (or topping ;) of course), but this is something that needs its own post to be expanded.

With that long-ass rant in that post I wanted to make another point, and that point was directed to some of the reblogs, and that point was: stop wokeifying the gay community, because you--general you--will have a stroke if you ever go to a gay bar one day.

I won't reiterate the stuff I said there, but that should have been the main takeaway, not that I prefer writing bl or bh. I don't consider myself a blouie, by virtue of the fact that not only I read and write whatever, but also because I genuinely don't agree with a lot of the, like, ideological stances. On smut. I could talk about what hardcore bl/sh do and say probably all day, and Raf/Niv know what I'm talking about because they're usually the ones I fill with audios, but this post is already really long.

Yeah 2015 on the otra tour Louis and Harry seemed to constantly either despise or be in awe with each other. From the outside and from looking at them at shows and the way they acted around eachother it looked like they were regularly fighting and then getting ‚back to to loving‘. I don’t think they were dating then. But I absolutely agree with you that there were a lot feelings between them. And it’s so interesting to me how inconsistent they acted toward eachother, regardless of Larry being a real thing or not. I don’t know if you know that soundcheck video of 1D where they rehearse for jimmy Kimmel but the vibes between them in that video just scream ex boyfriends who aren’t over each other yet. I definitely think ‚larry‘ made them so uncomfortable, especially during that time. But I also think that during times they got along and were looking so in love on stage it didn’t bother them as much, at least when I look at receipts from fans who were first row and had signs and all that kinda stuff. The Larry hug however definitely seemed like an act of duty bc they kinda had to do that in that situation. And like you I think they were uncomfortable doing that. I mean who wouldn’t be. I always scroll if the hug comes on my timeline bc I just feel sorry for them.

I’m not an insider but I’ve “met one” before. I went to an Ed Sheeran concert back in 2015 and one night when my friend and I were out getting drinks, we started talking to this girl, and she said she was following Ed’s tour like she followed 1D’s tours, and that led into fandom talk. My friend was was not a larrie but I very certainly was, so I was extra keen to hear what she had to say. My friend mentioned something about twitter and the girl started listing all the 1D members and family members that followed her and all the “insider” knowledge she had. No one mentioned Larry, but it was heavily danced around. My friend left for the restroom and the girl turned to me and said something like “I can tell where you stand and I can’t say much but don’t doubt your gut, there’s a reason the rumors won’t die.” Later when my friend returned she said things about zayn and perrie that ended up being unconfirmed truths and hinted at later 1D album things that ended up being true. Most of what we discussed was harmless fandom things but those little bits of specific “knowledge” that later turned out legitimate pushed me closer to believing what she said. (Also I just checked twitter and she is still followed by everyone she originally said.)

Hi, hope your doing well! Can you share your favorite and most credible receipt you’ve ever seen/gotten? I just accidentally dug myself down a fake Larry receipt rabbit hole from stylesforstiles and now I’m sad most of it isn’t true :(

I don’t have any sort of masterpost of that kind of thing, but I think most of the really credible receipts came from the early days when the boys were more reckless and the impact of social media was a lot understood in terms of how it affected celebrities.

Saying that, some of the more recent receipts I’ve felt rang more true than others are ones like Gabi’s New Zealand anon, my Copenhagen anon, the always wonderful Jamaica receipt, not exactly a receipt, but Harry thanking Lorna for her Oops and Hi Forever sign in 2015, this domestic Larry receipt from 2017, and then all of these moments where people close to Harry and Louis outed them.

Those are just a few that come to mind off the top of my head.

I tend to answer and talk about a lot of bbg/2015 things on here and seem to attract a lot of newer fans & Larries (which is wonderful!!!) but I thought I’d just share some resources that you can refer to so there’s not so much back and forth in my inbox.

Arden (cosmicleeds) makes fantastic, super digestible videos recapping years, bbg, rbb & sbb and the big gay war etc., and I think it’s a really valuable way to kind of get your head around some stuff as socials, especially Twitter, have a lot of misinformation, fighting, wrong timelines, stuff that’s already been debunked etc.

so, here are a couple of faves that I recommend newer larries, or people who want refreshers, to watch as it’s a little less overwhelming than the 15k word essays we have on these topics that are hard to read about when you haven’t kind of been introduced to it initially

Okay, so Toyota park is five (literally five minues) away from my house. And I figured there was a chance that Louis might go back there today, so I went to the venue (which i’ve been there quite a lot so I know the in & outs of it) anywaay I went around 1:30ish (central) and didn’t leave until 3:30ish I think. There was no signs of him there and I looked around the entire venue. You see this place is gated up, well the field and one of the gates was still open so me and brother snuck in. I was paranoid about doing it cause I’m 21 and I could have gotten in so much trouble but anyway I went around the backstage area, through the field, around the venue and parking lot for quite a bit. No one was there. No fans surprisingly. Just people who worked there. And no one asked me to leave?? Which I’m confused about it. I wasn’t once told to go. But I was was beginning to give up so I asked two people who worked the venue. One of the guys had lightish brown / dirty blond hair was wearing a light blue t-shirt (polo) and beige pants. There was a girl with blonde hair in a ponytail wearing a maroonish colored t-shirt with jeans and carrying a clipboard. I asked them because they shut the gates that me and brother sneaked in through how to get out. They didn’t make a big deal about it which was cool on their part. They just pointed our direction to where the elevator room was which led down to the first floor that’s sort of another backstage area. Like I said, I searched the pretty much everywhere possible of this place. 

I was going to just leave, but my brother is like why don’t you just ask, so I did. I went back up to the the dude and girl and asked if Louis from One Direction came here today. He told me no that him and Harry from 1D were only here yesterday. I never once asked about Harry. He brought up Harry Styles on his own and then got kind of quiet after mentioning Harry’s name. He then went on about how Louis played there for a bit but not too long and left before the game even started. 

Soooo yeah, I’m not going to sit here and bullshit this. I’m quite stoked I went either way because I got to go into parts of the venue I was never able to before. I’m just genuinely shocked that the dude brought up Harry being there as well.

Because they have to find a way to hate louis, he is getting too much attention. He is being a great artist and person so scaring people is the easiest way because they all hate Freddie. So once one blog says.. oh F will be there .. like a cult they proceed to repeat this sentence over and over again and start to say negative things about Louis and than hate on him. That’s always the same thing.

Also, harry can do no wrong to them . Olivia was there having but he had a gun to his head the whole time. He didn’t choose to have her as a gf 🙄🙄🙄. His mom was playing with the kids but she too had a gun to her head the whole time.

I'm so thankful for your "they never broke up" tag. As someone who has been here since 2012, its so strange to see newer people who weren't around in let's say 2015 or 2016 say "yes during this time they broke up and here's why!" And that leaves me ????? Because people fail to realize what was going on once 1D went on hiatus. 2015 was a good larry year yet awful stunts happened. 2016 they literally lost Jay and thats how people realized Harry was going back to London while filming Dunkirk to go visit her. All this while Louis had to stunt and Harry was writing HS1. Then 2017 both of them put out music and Harry started to tour. Both of them still stunting yet Louis wished Harry a happy bday on twitter when they were both in LA! 2018 tour continued for Harry and we got STILL THE ONE during a tour that we knew Louis had come along to see 🥺. And thats not even mentioning the receipts of people seeing them together during those times. Pretty sure people can put the rest of the pieces together for 2019 and beyond. But I find it so strange to see newer fans claim during the time described above is when they had a break up. If you ask any veteran larries they'd just say ???? where??? because that doesn't make sense in any timeline. Sorry for this rant but im tired of new fans taking their communication issues as proof they broke up and not remember that they've been in a closeted, gay relationship for over 10 years with personal hardships and that alone would've broken casual relationships. They've planned to stay together since they got those massive complentary tattoos. It's not their fault homophobia exists. If het couples who have been together for over a decade and never broken up exist, why it is so hard to believe the same for a gay couple?
