Tumblr media
The McLaren paddock was always buzzing with energy on a race weekend, but you barely noticed anymore. You were too focused on your job—an internship that demanded perfection, efficiency, and an unwavering dedication to details.
Unfortunately, no one seemed to have passed that memo to Lando Norris.
"You’re stalking me," You muttered, flipping through your clipboard as you strode through the garage, dodging mechanics and engineers.
"Following," Lando corrected, strolling beside you with way too much ease. "Completely different."
You stopped abruptly. He stopped too. You shot him a flat look. "You don’t even need to be here right now."
Lando smirked. “Aw come on, not enjoying our quality time?”
"Waste of time, actually." You scoffed, adjusting the clipboard in your arms. Lando gasped, pressing a hand to his chest like you’d just gravely offended him. "Wow. Harsh. I thought we were bonding."
You exhaled sharply, turning back to continue walking, attempting to wave him off. "Leave me alone, I’ve got work to do."
"And I have free time," He pointed out, easily keeping pace with you. "Which means I can spend it however I want."
"You want to spend it being an ass?"
"Of course." His grin was all mischief. "It’s my favorite pastime."
You rolled your eyes, but you didn’t slow down, weaving through the garage with practiced efficiency.
Lando, despite having no real reason to be there, stuck to your side like an overgrown puppy, dodging cables and stepping around mechanics with the kind of casual ease that made your irritation flare.
He lived to get under your skin.
"Hmm," He mused, leaning in just slightly, "You should try smiling more. I think it’d be good for you."
You didn’t even glance up. "You should try shutting up more. I think it’d be good for everyone."
Lando let out a bark of laughter. "So mean."
“Well, I’m certainly not trying to be nice.” You glance up, sending him a fake and sarcastic smile before your face deadpanned with cold eyes.
Lando clutched his chest dramatically. “You truly wound me.”
“God, save me.” You muttered, flipping a page on your clipboard.
Lando, of course, was unfazed and continued pressing. “To be honest, I think you secretly like this,” He mused.
You gave him a look. “Like what exactly?” Furrowing your eyebrows, not following where he was going with this.
“This.” He gestured vaguely between the two of you. “Our little game.”
You stopped so abruptly that he almost walked into you. “What game? You mean me trying to do my job while you act like an overgrown toddler with too much money and free time?”
Lando grinned, rocking back on his heels. “So do you like it or no?”
You let out an exasperated sigh, turning sharply on your heel, and in your haste, your pen slipped from your grip.
It clattered to the floor and rolled just slightly out of reach.
Without thinking, you bent down to grab it.
But. There was a shift in the air. A second of silence too long.
Then—
“Oh.”
The single syllable carried so much smug amusement that your stomach dropped before you even straightened.
You turned slowly, and Lando was standing there, arms crossed, lips curled into a knowing smirk.
His eyes flickered downward—just briefly—before meeting yours again.
"Oh, correct me if I’m wrong," He drawled, "But was that a lower back tattoo?"
Your entire body stiffened.
You knew right then and there that your McLaren issued shirt had betrayed you. Probably riding up just enough for him to catch a glimpse of the delicate little ribbon bow and butterfly inked on your lower back you had gotten back in high school.
Your fingers curled tightly around the pen, knuckles white as if you wanted to shove it into his throat. You fought to keep your face neutral, but the heat creeping up your neck was traitorous.
Lando’s smirk deepened.
You knew you should just ignore him. Keep walking. Act like you didn’t hear. But his tone—so goddamn amused and intrigued—was already sinking its hooks into you.
You straightened fully, lifted your chin, and shot back smoothly, “Maybe don’t stare at my ass?”
Lando’s grin was instant. “Not my fault it was right there.”
"You could’ve looked away."
"But then I would’ve missed the best part of my day," He quipped, eyes glinting with unfiltered delight. "Because never in a million years would I have guessed you had a tramp stamp."
You exhaled sharply, flipping back to your clipboard with forced nonchalance. "You saw nothing."
"I feel like there's a story behind it." He leaned in slightly, eyes practically gleaming. "And now I have to know."
"You have to shut up."
"Make me."
You inhaled slowly, forcing yourself to stay composed. You refused to let him win.
Lando’s smirk widened like he could feel you getting flustered.
"Was it a dare?" He mused.
You ignored him, flipping a page.
"Drunken impulse?"
Silence.
"Rebellious phase?"
You turned sharply. "Lando."
"Hm?"
You briefly smiled, pinching the bridge of your nose. "Shut up."
"Can’t. I’m way too entertained at the moment."
"Oh, of course you would find this entertaining."
Lando grinned. "Come on, just tell me! I’ll drop it after."
"You never drop anything."
He sighed dramatically. "You know me too well."
“Unfortunately."
For a moment, there was silence.
Then—
"You know," He mused, rocking back on his heels, "It’s actually kind of hot."
Your brain short-circuited.
You nearly dropped your pen again.
"What?" You croaked.
Lando shrugged, far too nonchalant. "The tattoo. Didn’t expect it, but… yeah." He smirked. "Bit of a plot twist."
Your mouth opened—then closed. Then opened again. "You—I—what.”
He chuckled, watching your reaction unfold like it was the highlight of his day.
You refused to give him the satisfaction.
So, instead of responding, you lifted your clipboard and smacked him lightly on the arm.
Lando burst out laughing, clutching the spot like you’d actually hurt him.
"You’re an idiot," You muttered, turning away before he could see the hint of a smile threatening to break through.
Lando grinned after you, calling out, "I will get that story one day!”
And maybe—just maybe—you weren’t as annoyed as you pretended to be.

a pearl
who? spencer reid (post-prison) x fem!reader based on: a pearl by mitski (and also pearl diver also by mitski) written for: @mggslover's event lyrics: “You’re growing tired of me. You love me so hard and I still can’t sleep/Sorry, I can’t take your touch. It’s not that I don’t want you.” word count: 0.9k content warnings: mentions cat adams, reference to addiction/drugs & sobriety
Tumblr media
He stared at the flickering flame in the living room, knowing he’s left your sleeping frame upstairs, and rubbed the sobriety chip between his thumb and forefinger, and he remembers the moment he had fallen in love with your smile, a warm saccharine thing that had brightened your whole face when he tried to pull a coin from behind your ear, but it hadn’t worked, only for you to find it in your pockets. He hasn’t made you smile like that in a while. Not in 3 months, 20 days, and 14 hours. Not since Cat Adams had made it her mission to ruin his life, and yours along with him. This year had just been the tip of a long-building iceberg of issues that you kept having to put up with because of him.
And sure, things were okay now. His mom was in a good home in DC, always a call and a drive away. They had gotten his murder conviction overturned. He was supposed to be safe. Then why did he feel this uneasy all the time?
He’s so lost in himself, the firelight reflecting in his soft and worried hazel eyes, that he doesn’t hear you coming down the stairs, doesn’t see the cute donut pyjamas that usually make his heart melt, and physically flinches when you touch his shoulder, the chip in his hand falling to the floor. “Sorry,” you said instantly, “I didn’t mean to… You just weren’t in bed, I wanted to make sure you were—”
“I’m fine,” he said, a little too sharply, and usually, you’re better at controlling your expressions, but it’s 2 in the morning and you’re tired, so the concern is visible on your sleepy face.
“Honey, you don’t seem fine,” you said softly, approaching him like he was a skittish horse.
He let out a breath, bending down to pick up the sobriety token, while you wait and watch him straighten. “Can we not do this right now?” he asked, sounding tired, and he can see your concern deepen, adding another wrinkle to your brow, the corners of your lips turning down. He can see the battle that rages inside you every day, every time he acts like this — do you confront him? Do you put your foot down like you had all those years ago when he was coming to work while in withdrawal? What would it take for you to finally retaliate?
“Okay,” you said, in your gentle but firm way, looking at him evenly. “Two choices. We sit here and talk, or you come back upstairs with me and get some sleep. Either way, I’m not going back up without you.” Your arms come up to cross against your chest in what you think is a firm, decisive position to take, but Spencer’s sorely tempted to smile at you, and then his heart sinks all over again. It must have come up on his face because your arms start to fall and you walked over to pull him to sit next to you on the couch. “Sweetheart, will you please just tell me what’s going on with you?” you asked, and you think your heart might crawl out of your throat when Spencer pulled his hands away from yours.
“It’s nothing,” he said, and you can see his body closing off, all your work to bring him out of his shell, to coax him into the sunlight, vanishing like smoke. “Everything’s, you know, it’s fine. The team’s fine, my mom’s fine. I’m fine.”
“Which means it’s only a matter of time before things aren’t fine again,” you said, tilting your head to meet his eyes. “Right?” You’d be a liar if you said you hadn’t felt it too — the panic in the middle of the night when he’s not there, the reminder you have to give yourself that he’s not in prison anymore, that he’s safe.
“I’m so tired,” he told you, his eyes falling to your hands, where you were gripping each other for fear of reaching out to him again. He was tired of waiting to get the phone call saying his mom was gone. Tired of the nightmares. Tired of feeling afraid in a house that was supposed to be his refuge.
“Sweetheart, you can’t rest when your body still thinks it’s on the run,” you told him gently.
“Then how do I get it to stop?” he asked you, a hint of desperation rising into his throat, causing his words come out more broken and shaky than he meant for them to, and it just made his chest ache more.
You leaned closer, pressing your forehead against his and cupping his cheek, feeling the light stubble on his jaw. "Stay here," you whispered. "In this moment. You and me. Nothing else."
“In this moment,” he echoed, his voice soft and quiet, barely more than a whisper. “You and me, and nothing else.” A hint of a smile spread across his lips, and you pressed a butterfly kiss to the corner before laying your head on his shoulder while he slid his arms around your waist. You don’t move, just eventually shift so you can both lay on the couch, the fire dying out into embers as he finally fell asleep to the rise and fall of your chest.

empty. cold. that’s how his side of the bed felt at the moment. it had been weeks since you last saw him, and days since his last message. your eyes stayed glued to your screen, rereading his final words over and over again.
"i luv youuu"
cold tears slipped down your cheeks. you weren’t even sure if they were from grief or from your irritated eyes after staring at the screen for so long without blinking. deep down, you knew the truth—you weren’t dumb. this was bound to happen one day. but you weren’t ready to accept it yet. you wanted to stay in denial just a little longer.
satoru was supposed to be the strongest. so why hadn’t he come home?
with a shaky breath, you shut your phone off and set it aside. hugging his pillow tightly, you buried your face into it—only to realize it didn’t even smell like him anymore.
silent sobs wracked your body as exhaustion finally overtook you.
but in the dead of night, a noise startled you awake.
footsteps.
first near the front door. then in the living room. the kitchen.
and now… heading toward your bedroom.
afraid, you hid under your blanket like a child. you didn’t know if it was reflex or true fear—because honestly, after losing the man you loved, life had lost all meaning.
the door slid open, and you held your breath.
then, a voice.
"baby?"
satoru.
your heart stopped, then raced. it was him. the way he said your name, the way his voice carried through the room—you had missed it more than words could express. before you could think, you jumped out of bed and ran straight into his arms, clutching him as if he might disappear again.
he hugged you back just as tightly.
"where… where the hell were you?! you don’t know how worried i was, how much i cried! i thought you were—"
his lips met yours, silencing your frantic words with a soft peck.
"now, now," he murmured against you, his tone laced with that familiar teasing warmth. "i’m here, and that’s all that matters, pretty."
you pouted, fresh tears spilling down your cheeks as you buried your face into his chest, holding him closer. but then your fingers brushed against something different—a rougher patch of skin around his stomach.
a scar.
your breath hitched. "how did you..."
he turned away slightly, avoiding your gaze. guilty. he didn’t want to talk about it.
so you didn’t push.
instead, he gently eased you back onto the bed, his lips finding yours again, slow and deliberate.
"i was this close to dying," he murmured between kisses, trailing from your lips to your jaw, down to your neck. "but i remembered you were waiting at home for me..." his words sent a shiver down your spine as his kisses grew deeper, needier.
"and i decided that heaven could wait."
you let out a breathless giggle, threading your fingers through his white locs."you think you’re going to heaven?" you teased, tugging playfully at his hair. "what a joke."
swiftly, he unbuttoned the blouse you had on and grabbed a handful of your breast, massaging it gently while sucking and nibbling on your neck to create a colorful bruise. sweet moans of his name slid out of between your lips against your will and he simply smirked at them.
"I know you cried, and I know you were cold," his eyes bored into yours, "but now that I'm here, I promise I won't ever leave again." and this time, you're the one that closed the space between your lips. you knew that his promise wasn't true at all, but you decided to ignore that fact and let yourself believe it for the span of a single night. in the heat of the moment, your hand slid down his chest and onto his pelvis, before sneaking its way into his pants, stroking his erection sensually.
satoru moaned into your mouth before taking this bold action of yours as a sign to give you pleasure aswell, his hand rubbing your pussy through your thin panties. "Oh shit- yeah, just like that, 'toru.." your head fell to the side as his hand slid into your panties, rubbing up and down your slit to collect some of your wetness before rubbing tight and quick circles onto your clit, making you needily clench around nothing.
meanwhile, your hand was still skillfully rubbing his cock, thumb rubbing on his tip making him jolt up from the sudden intense pleasure. satoru bit his lip before penetrating you with two of his digits, making you gasp in utter shock and awe. your breath followed the rhythm of his fingers that he pumped in and out of you, as you sped up the speed of your own hand.
as expected, you felt orgasm build up pretty quickly, and as you were of the edge of climaxing, you stopped him. "stop, stop! 'toru, stop it," and he quickly halted his movements, scanning your face for any signs of discomfort or pain. "I'm sorry baby, did I hurt you? I'm so fucking sorry, fuck-" you interrupted him, "no honey, I just..." you bit the inside of your cheek, "after all this time, I wanna cum on your dick, not your fingers..." and you felt his cock twitch at your words. he stared at you in shock before his expression turned into a lustful smile.
and before you even realized it, he had taken your hand out of his pants, before taking said pants off along with your panties in a span of a second. impressive.
"you know baby," he rubbed up and down your slit with the tip of his cock, "even though I won't go to heaven, I'll make sure you do," he aligned his tip with your entrance. "what do you mean?" he pressed a quick kiss against your lips. "I'll take you there myself." and with that, he bottomed out inside you in one swift motion.
your jaw dropped and you instinctively closed your eyes to embrace the familiar sensation of him inside you, but he tapped your cheek with his finger to get your attention. "eyes on me love." and so you obliged, opening your eyes to be met with an expression that seemed to be the results of a love and lust mix.
the sound of his hops meeting yours over and over again made you delirious along with the sensation of his cock claiming your insides and the intense eye contact you held with satoru. at some point, satoru can't hold in anymore—he whines and moans into your ear, whispering confessions such as "fuck– I love you too much, baby-" and "I missed this so bad... holy shit, yeah- I need this- oh fuck, yeah.." which did nothing but turn you on even more.
your hand went straight to your clit to rub it when you felt your orgasm building up again. satoru chased your high as much as you did, using his six eyes to hit all those gummy spots that made you see stars. "fuck- m'cumming, m'cumming!" you couldn't hold back your voice as your orgasm crashed over you without a warning. you struggled to keep your eyes on him as you twitched and shook with the intensity of the orgasm, as it had been weeks since you deemed yourself worthy enough to feel pleasure.
satoru's orgasm followed suit, shooting long ropes of cum into your womb, as your tight grip pulled strings of moans of your name out of his mouth.
as you both calmed down, satoru pulled his cock out and flopped on his back next to you.
a comfortable silence fell upon the both of you before you broke it, "you know," he hummed in acknowledgement, "you were right." his head whips to the side to look at you, who was already turned towards him. "what about?", you smiled, looking at the ceiling, "you did take me to heaven, after all."
you crawled on top of him to kiss his scar, making him feel a bit tingly. he patted your head, "and I'd do it all over again just for you, love."

AHH OK well now you’ve got me thinking, what if there is no one Reason, what if they’re just stressed and distracted from the day to day of their jobs and just don’t notice how she’s feeling? Or if they do notice they think she needs space to work it out herself? OR WORSE what if they are actually annoyed with how often she checks in on them? Not enough to not want to be with her but just needing some space?
She’d eventually drop the whole break the bond request, though not after some arguing / begging I’m sure, and pretend like it’s ok but would walk away from the conversation CONVINCED she needs to change to keep her team happy. So she sets out to be more like Johnny, minimizing her needs, trying to get by on the bare minimum.
OR she accepts that Price won’t break the bond now so she decides to distance herself to save herself the heartbreak, to make their bond weaker so next time she asks, they’ll be as ready to get rid of her as she thinks they already are.
Either way it’s not a fun time for anyone as the team starts to notice how she’s slipping away, how she’s not their sweet, comforting girl anymore.
Price is confused when days go by and she doesn’t pop into his office once, doesn’t come check on him, doesn’t remind him to take a break and eat if he hasn’t. When he gives in and just calls her to his office, he’s hurt by how she stands by the door, shuffling her feet like she can’t wait to leave, and avoids eye contact at any cost. He wants his warm and bubbly girl back who would walk into his office and plop herself down on his lap like it was her rightful place, who would steal kisses and snuggles while he was filling out paperwork and he doesn’t know what he needs to do to get her back.
Simon has never been chatty, content to always let her drone on about the little things while he listens and chimes in when needed. He doesn’t realize how much he misses her sweet voice and giggles, how much they make him feel normal instead of the monster everyone else assumes he is, until she stops seeking him out. Now, everything she says to him is monotone and soulless, and only ever related to work. She never sticks around for long after she’s said what she needed too, never rewards him with the beaming smile at the end of her words like she used to and he hates it!! He hates that she seems like she’s been turned into a shell of her former self!! He tried to remember what she used to like to talk about, tries to follow up on those conversations, asks her about the things she could’ve ranted about for hours, only to receive a shrug and short answer. Simon doesn’t remember being this anxious trying to have a conversation since he was a child, and after the third time being shut down, he decides he’s had enough and storms in to Price’s office because they need to fix this! It’s tearing their little family apart, even Soap and Gaz are feeling the effects, and he’s had enough!!
Soap and Gaz who’ve tried to be much more gentle only to have her recoil at their smallest touch, always slipping out of their fingers, always having an excuse for why she needed to leave. Soap and Gaz who are torn between watching her leave and following her, not knowing what the right thing to do is in this new world they’ve found themselves in. They look to Ghost and Price for guidance, for leadership, but they’re just as lost, only knowing that they’re loosing her piece by piece.
Mmmmmm I can’t decide if they confront her about her new behaviour and the clear effects it’s having on her (because surprise surprise sacrificing your needs to keep others happy isn’t healthy if her weak and tired state and constantly sad smell is anything to go off of). If they do, I can see her finally being angry, yelling at them that they need to make up their minds about what they want from her, and as much as it hurts them to think that she’s been acting this way because she thinks it’s what they want, they’re relieved that at least she’s talking to them again, at least she has her spark back.
Or maybe they’re too cautious, maybe they avoid saying anything for fear of making it worse, of upsetting her more so they just don’t. And then they’re sent on a mission, gone for two months as they try to save the world from certain doom, at least content in knowing their entire world is home, safe, even if she’s upset. Does distance make the heart grow fonder? Or is it a trial run for separation? Because as hard as it is, as much as each day away from them hurts her, it makes it even more clear what she has to do.
Finally they’re back home, all safe, all alive, minor injuries that don’t really mean much anymore, not in their field of work. And they’ll take her comforting presence over anything, no matter how distant, no matter how cold. What they can’t take however is her request for Price to break the bond again. Four elite soldiers, used to death and blood and war, reduced to tears because for the first time they feel hopeless. Simon secretly wonders if it would’ve been less painful to bleed out on the battlefield than come back home to this.
Hey friend. I've put off this ask a little while, because I'm sure you're tired of getting it by now, but... are there any updates on the neglected! reader (a/b/o)? I really liked that one, and though I have no issues with the second part not being done yet, a little progress update (if you want to add one) would be very cool! Thanks for writing :)
ugh i know i've been putting it off for a long time but i haven't abandoned it guys! just feeling very stuck with where the narrative is sitting rn 🥲 however, here's a little tease of the beginning of part two, keep in mind it may not be written exactly like this when i post it:
"what?" kyle mumbles, rising from john's lap to grapple with the sudden coldness that overcomes him. no one else says anything, but you can see how your words affect the rest of them: john stiffens in his seat, simon's dismissive glance has turned into a burning glare, and johnny's hand has slipped from where it was resting on his captain's shoulder, a look of confusion and panic twisting on his face.
your anxiety may have dissipated, but that doesn't make this any easier. the air feels too tense, too uncomfortable. you don't like how agitated everyone's scents became the moment you walked in, and it hurts even more knowing they didn't even try to hide it. you don't like seeing them all together here like this. you don't like that you're believing that spiteful little voice in the back of your mind jeering at you that they've been planning your departure, planning how to break the news to you that you're not worth the hassle anymore.
it only makes sense why they're all cooped up in john's office, whispering amongst themselves.
"darling, what are you talking about?" john's voice cuts through your thoughts, but you try not to find comfort in it. he stands from his seat, and you try not to reveal how much you've missed his scent despite how thick it is with stress. your omega has been quiet for a while, but now that you're gathered in one place like this, she's getting restless, simultaneously wanting to hiss at them and cling to anyone who will spare a scrap of affection.
"please, captain, just do it. i don't want to be a burden any longer." you'll beg if that's what it takes; you'll get on your knees and clasp your hands together if it means saving them from unnecessary stress and annoyance and you from further heartbreak.
the earnestness in your voice is so strong it bites at them because how could you even suggest something like that? how could they even consider their pack whole if you're not there?
but hearing his rank fall from your lips leaves a bitter taste in john's mouth and a knot forming in his stomach. it's unnatural to hear you call him that while sounding so defeated and miserable. it's scary to feel so out of control when he's supposed to be your captain, your head alpha.
to know he's let you down so much makes his alpha growl pathetically in shame; how can he even consider himself a leader?

summary. after sam's confession, you can't deny your feelings anymore.
pairing. sam winchester x reader ft. dean winchester ; angsty!
wordcount. 1086
notes. just shocked. heartbroken. going absolutely insane with this series!
⋆.˚ ★— read part 1, part 2 + dean's ending
Tumblr media
The bunker feels different now.
You don’t know how, exactly. The walls are the same, the air is the same—heavy with lore books and coffee, gunpowder and old leather. But something about it feels off, like the foundation has shifted beneath you and you don’t know how to walk steady anymore.
Because Sam left.
And Dean? Dean barely looks at you.
The last thing you remember clearly is standing between them, Sam’s confession hanging in the air like an exposed nerve. The way Dean turned away, the way he asked you if you loved Sam, the way your throat closed up before you could answer—
And now here you are. Days have passed. Maybe a week. Maybe more. The time feels meaningless when all you can do is think.
Sam isn’t here. He didn’t take much—just a bag, his laptop, a few weapons—but he’s gone. He left without another word, and you don’t even know where he went. Maybe that should be your answer right there. Maybe if you truly loved him, you wouldn’t have let him walk away. Maybe if you truly loved him, you would’ve chased him.
But you didn’t.
And yet…
You don’t sleep. Not really. Not without thinking of Sam’s eyes, how they softened when he looked at you. Not without remembering the way he always listened—really listened—when you talked, the way he knew when you needed silence and when you needed a joke. Not without thinking about how easy it was to just be with him, to exist beside him without effort or expectation.
Dean loves you. You know that.
But Sam sees you.
And it’s that realization—the quiet, slow, earth-shattering realization—that makes you sick.
Because what kind of person are you, to love one brother while holding the hand of the other?
Dean is quiet when you find him in the kitchen.
He sits at the table, nursing a beer, his jaw tight as he stares at nothing. It’s been like this ever since Sam left—short conversations, no teasing, no warmth. Just silence.
You sit across from him, tucking your hands in your lap. The words sit heavy on your tongue, but you need to say them. You owe him that.
“I think I love Sam.”
Dean exhales sharply through his nose. It’s not a surprised sound. He’s known. Maybe he’s always known.
“I figured,” he says after a moment. His voice is rough, distant. “You gonna go after him?”
Your heart twists. “I don’t know where he is.”
Dean lets out a humorless chuckle, shaking his head. “Bullshit. If you really wanted to find him, you would.”
And there it is. The truth, laid out bare. You’ve been waiting for someone to say it, and now that he has, it stings worse than you imagined.
“I never meant to—”
“To what?” Dean snaps, finally looking at you, green eyes burning. “Never meant to fall for him? Never meant to lead me on?” He scoffs. “That’s comforting.”
You flinch. You deserve that. “Dean, I didn’t want this to happen.”
“Then why did it?”
“I don’t know.” Your voice breaks. “I didn’t realize it, I didn’t—” You squeeze your eyes shut. “I love you, Dean. I do.”
Dean leans forward, forearms braced against the table. “But not like you love him.”
It’s not a question.
Tears burn behind your eyes. “I’m sorry.”
Dean studies you for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then he pushes back his chair, standing up without a word.
“Dean—”
He holds up a hand, shaking his head. His throat bobs, but when he speaks, his voice is even. “Go find him.”
You don’t move.
“You want him?” Dean says, jaw tight. “Then go.”
And so you do.
It takes three days to track Sam down.
You follow a trail of credit card charges—cheap motel rooms, gas stations, diners. He’s been moving every couple of days, never staying in one place too long. It makes you sick, knowing he left because of you.
When you finally find him, it’s in a small, rundown motel on the edge of nowhere. His car is parked outside, the headlights catching in the rain-soaked pavement. Your hands shake as you knock on the door.
There’s a pause. Then, finally, the door creaks open.
Sam stands there, barefoot in jeans and a worn hoodie, hair messy, eyes tired. He blinks at you like he’s not sure you’re real.
“Hey,” you whisper.
His eyes widen and you can clearly see you were the last person he thought would be on the other side of the door. “What are you doing here?”
You take a shaky breath. “I think I love you.”
Silence. Then—
“You think?”
Your chest aches. “I know.”
Sam exhales sharply, looking away, rubbing a hand over his face. “Jesus,” he mutters. “You can’t just—” He swallows. “You can’t just say that.”
“But it’s true.”
His jaw clenches. “And Dean?”
“I told him,” you say softly. “I ended it.”
Sam stares at you for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Then, suddenly, he lets out a breathless, almost bitter laugh. “Shit.”
You don’t realize you’re crying until Sam reaches out, fingers brushing your cheek. His touch is hesitant, like he’s afraid you’ll disappear.
“You broke up with Dean.”
“I had to.”
Sam shakes his head, but his hand doesn’t leave your face. His thumb strokes your cheek, slow and careful.
“You broke his heart,” he says quietly.
“I know.” A tear slips down your cheek. “I never meant to hurt him.”
Sam swallows hard. “But you chose me.”
Your voice is barely a whisper. “I did.”
A beat of silence. Then—
Sam exhales, something breaking in his expression, something raw and aching and real, and suddenly his hands are on you—gripping your face, pulling you in. His lips crush against yours, desperate and searching, and you melt into him like you’ve been waiting forever.
He tastes like coffee and rain and something inherently Sam, something safe and familiar and right. His hands tremble against you, like he can’t believe you’re here, like he’s afraid you’ll disappear if he lets go.
But you’re not going anywhere.
When you finally break apart, foreheads pressed together, Sam breathes out your name like a prayer. His hands cup your jaw, his thumbs brushing over your skin.
“You don’t know how long I’ve waited for this,” he murmurs.
You smile, brushing your fingers through his hair. “Then don’t let go.”
Sam’s lips ghost over yours, the barest hint of a smile tugging at his mouth.
“Never.”

The last few months have been extremely hard and all this has lead to me having to make possibly the most difficult post I’ve ever had to make. Michael and I are no longer together. We both are making our own posts about this so please be sure to read his as well.
About 3-4 months ago Michael started becoming romantically involved (verbally, not physically) with another person and was not honest with me about it. To add important context Michael and I have been polyamorous for the vast majority of our relationship. I have had a second partner for a while who Michael has also been close friends with since well before I started dating them. Michael was of course free to have multiple partners as well, the issue is that he was dishonest and broke my trust.
I didn’t plan on all of this coming out this way, but over the last couple months my trust has continued to be repeatedly broken and I’ve seen little effort on Michael’s part to repair our relationship. I don’t hate Michael or think he’s a bad person. He just has things to work through and he’s starting therapy soon while I have also started therapy for my own struggles.
All of this being said though, Michael and I will still work together. Part of what makes this so hard is that we still love each other very much, but neither of us can make us work. I do not want a single project or friend of ours to treat him any differently. I do not want ANYONE picking sides, as that isn’t what either of us need. We both have a lot of healing to do and that cannot happen without kindness and understanding. I wish nothing but the best for Michael on his healing journey, I just can’t be a part of it anymore.

THE ISLAND LOOKOUT (pt.8): stop being weird - (smau & irl au) childhood bsf!rafe cameron x thornton!reader
series masterlist; general masterlist; taglist
Tumblr media
an; lmfao i watched babygirl last night so smut coming in the next few chapters FINALLY!!
part 7- part 8 - part 9
Tumblr media
you don’t do weird, dramatic silences. you don’t ignore each other. you don’t fight.
so why does it kind of feel like you are?
it’s been days since the last pogue hangout. since you started seeing rafe a little less. since you realized he wasn’t really… talking to you anymore. not like normal. not like you two.
it’s not like he’s outright avoiding you—he still shows up, still answers when you text—but he’s dry. dismissive. like he doesn’t really care. and maybe you wouldn’t care either, if it weren’t so obvious.
you roll onto your back, staring at the ceiling, your phone resting on your stomach. music plays softly from your speaker, some song you don’t even realize is on until it ends. the room feels too quiet. the kind of quiet that makes your thoughts louder than they need to be.
before you can think too hard about it, you grab your phone and open your messages.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it’s not like you to overthink things. not with rafe. but the whole thing is just… off. and it’s not like he’s going to tell you what’s up—clearly—so you do the next best thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
meanwhile, your life is moving. no time to think about rafe. no time to care.
you’re at the chateau, cross-faded, curled up against jj on the couch, barely processing the conversation happening around you. his arm is slung around your waist, and at some point, your head ends up on his shoulder. the night moves fast like that, all smoke and static and warmth, the air thick with laughter and the low hum of music from a speaker someone set on the counter.
jj’s rolling another joint, half-focused on pope and john b arguing over something stupid, while kiara eggs them on. you don’t even know what they’re mad about, but it’s funny watching them get worked up, hands flying, voices overlapping.
jj nudges you with his shoulder, eyes lazy, smirking. “you good over there, champ?”
you hum in response, tilting your head back to look at him. “never better.”
he grins, flicking the lighter to life.
at some point, jj drags you off the couch, pulling you toward the kitchen under the excuse of “we need snacks.” the real reason, as it turns out, is to shotgun a beer with you, which you only half succeed at before nearly choking on it. jj laughs so hard he almost chokes too, smacking the counter as he wheezes, before shoving the neck of his hoodie at you to wipe your mouth like you haven’t known each other for two weeks at most.
“you suck at this,” he says, grinning.
“fuck you,” you cough, still recovering.
“nah, that was tragic,” he teases, cracking open another one like you didn’t just borderline aspirate the first. “you gotta commit. you hesitated.”
you glare at him, wiping your chin with his hoodie before flipping it back at his face. “let’s see you do better, mr. professional.”
jj winks, tilting his head back as he downs the beer effortlessly, then slamming the empty can on the counter with an exaggerated gasp. “light work,” he announces.
you roll your eyes. “congrats. you’ve peaked.”
he throws an arm over your shoulder, pulling you into a loose side hug as he grabs a bag of chips off the counter. “c’mon, princess. let’s go pretend we got the snacks and not just our crippling alcohol dependencies.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
sometime past 2 a.m., you end up back on the couch, jj next to you, kiara half in your lap, legs thrown over the armrest. your limbs feel heavy, head fogged over with exhaustion, but you feel good. easy. warm in the way that only comes with nights like this.
you don’t check your phone. don’t think about unread messages or stubborn boys who’d rather sit in their heads than get out of them.
not your problem tonight.

I am…not doing so hot atm. 🙂‍↕️ Can I request a small short where Reader is going thru it and kinda just. Lying in bed. Buried themselves under the blankets bc they had a rough few weeks and that morning they just didn’t have it in themselves to crawl out of bed (totally missing breakfast and lunch…and maybe dinner 💀).
Uhhhhhhhhh not sure who to choose I’m thinking maybe Robin, Himeko, Jing Yuan or Welt? (Or anyone else from Star Rail.) Platonic or romantic it doesn’t matter.
No Rush, No Burden
Tags: Jing Yuan x Reader, Robin x Reader, Comfort, Emotional Support, Platonic Relationships, Gentle Care, Quiet Companionship, Soft Fluff, Slow burn, Tenderness, Quiet affection.
Warnings: Mentions of emotional exhaustion and fatigue, Non-graphic descriptions of being overwhelmed or burnout, Light angst (due to emotional struggles).
A/N: I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope you get well!! 🫂💖 Also just a quick reminder for others: Please don’t take this as an opportunity to exploit the idea or ask for something on the spot. My works are all scheduled and planned in advance, so I can’t keep rescheduling or accommodate last-minute requests. I appreciate your understanding and patience! Thank you!
Tumblr media
The weight of exhaustion pressed down on you, heavy like the blankets wrapped around your body. You hadn't moved much today. Maybe since yesterday. You weren’t counting anymore.
The room was silent, save for the occasional rustle of fabric when you shifted. The outside world felt far away—too far to reach, and honestly, you weren’t sure you wanted to.
Then, there was a knock. Gentle, but firm.
You didn’t answer.
The door slid open anyway, the scent of fresh tea wafting in before the soft click of boots followed.
"Ah," a familiar voice hummed, light and thoughtful, like he had already expected this scene. "So this is where you've been hiding."
You barely peeked out from under the covers. Through the dim light, you caught a glimpse of golden eyes, sharp yet warm, watching you with quiet understanding. Jing Yuan, your ever-persistent guardian, didn’t seem surprised. If anything, he seemed… patient.
"I had a feeling," he murmured, setting something down with a faint clink. "You missed every meal today. Even the chefs started to worry."
You wanted to say something—maybe an apology, maybe an excuse—but the words wouldn’t come.
Jing Yuan merely sighed, but it wasn’t exasperated. It was the kind of sigh that carried familiarity, the kind given by someone who had seen this before.
Without asking, he settled himself at the edge of your bed, his armor creaking softly as he adjusted his position. Then, as if it were the most natural thing in the world, he leaned back against the headboard and crossed his arms.
"I'm not here to drag you out," he said casually, closing his eyes. "The world will still be there tomorrow. Right now, though…" His voice trailed off, thoughtful. "I thought I'd keep you company for a while."
For a man with a reputation for being lazy, he certainly had a way of making his presence feel grounding.
You shifted slightly under the covers. “…You don’t have to.”
"I know," he said, his tone carrying a quiet smile. "But I will."
There was no urgency in his presence, no expectation. Just warmth. The steady rise and fall of his breathing, the occasional sound of fabric shifting as he got comfortable. It was… nice. Safe.
After a while, you felt the weight in your chest ease, just a little. Maybe you weren’t ready to get up yet—but you weren’t alone. And somehow, that was enough.
Tumblr media
You weren’t sure when you fell asleep.
Or if you had even really been asleep at all.
The blankets were cocooned around you, your limbs heavy, your mind clouded by exhaustion. Time had slipped away, stretching into something intangible, and you had long stopped keeping track of meals or daylight.
But then, a soft melody began to weave through the silence.
It wasn’t intrusive. It didn’t demand anything from you. It was just… there. A gentle hum, carrying warmth and familiarity, wrapping around the room like a delicate embrace.
Robin.
Even before she spoke, you knew.
There was a faint rustling as she settled beside your bed, her presence quiet but unwavering. The melody lingered for a few more seconds before fading into the air.
"You don’t have to say anything," she said softly, as if sensing the struggle in your silence. "I just wanted to be here."
Something about her voice—smooth, melodic, laced with a tenderness she rarely showed in crowds—made your chest ache.
A pause. Then, a small chuckle.
"You know, I once did this for myself," Robin admitted, amusement laced with something more somber. "On nights when I felt too tired to face the world, I would sing. Not for anyone else, just… for me."
The air felt lighter somehow.
"You don’t have to do anything today," she continued. "Or tomorrow. Or even the day after, if you need the rest." A gentle touch against your shoulder, fleeting but reassuring. "But I’ll be here. If you ever want company."
Her fingers brushed against something on the nightstand. A plate, maybe? You caught the faintest scent of something warm—freshly baked bread, lightly sweet, something easy to eat even if you didn’t have the energy.
No pressure. No expectations.
Just care.
You swallowed thickly, your fingers twitching under the blankets. You weren’t ready to move yet.
But maybe, just maybe, you weren’t alone in this.
And that was enough.

Fuck it Friday
I was tagged by @bidisasterevankinard, @agentpeggycartering, @laundryandtaxesworld and @fairytalegonewronga03 (thank you so much lovelies!! ♥) Here's a snippet of chapter 5 of Tsunami Fic!
It’s been three days since the tsunami, and Tommy is finally ready to let Vivie out of his sight for more than ten minutes; they’ve spent pretty much all of their time at home as both her and Sal recover from it all, physically and emotionally. Sal’s been staying with them, and Tommy’s insisting he stays until his medical leave is over in a week.
But now Tommy needs to go for his first shift since everything happened, and he’s pretty sure Sal is having a harder time with it than Vivie. While his daughter is happily lying on the floor, her socked feet swinging in the air as she colors a piece of paper, his best friend is eyeing Tommy warily from where he’s sitting on the couch, as he ties his shoes.
“Tommy”, he mutters. “Are you sure you want to do this? You… I won’t be offended if you get a babysitter or take her to someone else, you know? I… I’d understand after…”
Tommy sighs; he’s tried to blow off every single apology Sal sent his way ever since the tsunami. They’re safe, and Vivie is completely fine, and Tommy doesn’t blame Sal for any of it. But that doesn’t mean Sal is convinced, and Tommy’s starting to think he’ll need an extra hand.
“Vivie?” He calls.
“Yeah?” She answers, still focused on her drawing.
“Do you want Daddy to call someone else to take care of you while I work?” Tommy asks, and that makes her raise her head in alarm.
“Why?! Is Uncle Sal not okay?! Are you feeling bad, uncle Sal?” She rushes to them, throwing herself in Sal’s lap. He wraps his arms around her, a sheepish smile on his face.
“I’m feeling fine, darlin’, don’t you worry about me.” He tells her, ruffling her hair, and she sighs in relief. “Do… you want me to take care of you?” Sal asks, sounding impossibly insecure, and Vivie glares at him in a way that’s eerily reminiscent of Tommy’s own bitchy expression.
“Duh, uncle Sal, you’re my favorite uncle. You play the best games and you sing Barbie songs with me!” She tells him as if it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
Tommy, in his defense, does his best not to look smug, but he doesn’t think he actually succeeds. As he finishes tying his shoes, he gets up, raising an eyebrow at Sal, who’s glaring at him.
“Well”, Tommy quips, grabbing his car keys. “I guess that settles the matter, doesn’t it? You guys have fun signing Barbie tunes as I go to work. You behave for your uncle, pixie, okay?”
He presses a kiss to Vivie’s forehead, half expecting her to say goodbye to him and cuddle up against Sal. What she does instead is gasp and scramble out of her uncle’s lap, rushing back to her paper. As she grabs it, a healthy amount of glitter falls on the floor, and Tommy doesn’t even want to think about the clean-up. He guesses he could ask Sal to take care of it, but it doesn't seem like a fair thing to the concussed guy.
“Wait, Daddy!” She says, and then she shoves the card into his hand. “You have to take this!”
Tommy frowns, and looks down at the card. His cheeks instantly blush when he sees the wobbly ‘To: Mr. Evan’ that’s written on the top corner, along with a much neater ‘From: Genevieve’ on the bottom (she’s only five, but she’s already a master at writing her own name, Tommy is proud to say). There’s a very glittery blue heart in the middle, and when Tommy opens the card to take a peak, he sees two sticky figures: Genevieve, holding Marsh, and a bigger one that can only be Evan, based on the blue eyes and the small pink birthmark drawn above one of them.

WILDFLOWER | G.A
inspired by billie eilish's wildflower. I think you can already predict that it's very angst. I cried writing this and I love it even more because of it.
𓍼 WORD COUNT: 3390
𓍼 SUMMARY: after listening to Two People on Good Riddance tour something invades you, like a fever.
𓍼 WARNINGS: angst, good ending...
Tumblr media
good riddance had been out for a few months now, yet you still remembered the nights when gracie came home late from the studio. it might have seemed like a bad thing, but she always found a way to make it up to you—small surprises, late-night apologies that always ended with her between your legs—so, in the end, it was never really that bad.
one of the things you admired most about her was her honesty, especially when it came to her feelings. while working on the album, she never let you forget how much she loved you, how important your relationship was, and how those lyrics were nothing more than echoes of old wounds.
more than anyone, you understood what this album meant to her. it wasn’t just a way to express everything she had been through, but the first project that was truly hers, a piece of her heart laid bare. and you had been there for every part of it.
before love ever crossed your mind, you and gracie were just friends. and you had the luck—or maybe the curse—of knowing her ex-boyfriend, of watching them grow together and, eventually, fall apart.
it should have been easy to let time wash it all away, to accept that the past was nothing more than that. you had promised yourself it wouldn’t matter anymore. you had promised gracie, too.
but then two people started playing.
and when gracie sang that one specific line—
"and you know, you know every inch of my body"
that was when the tears started falling, before you could even think about stopping them. that was the night you started seeing him in the back of your mind again when you started feeling like you were burning alive.
but you knew she didn't mean to hurt you.
so you kept it to yourself.
the next morning, usually filled with kisses and silly conversations, is ruined by a tension that settles between you like something unspoken—thick and heavy. the air inside the apartment feels too still, as if it’s holding its breath, waiting for one of you to break the silence.
gracie leans against the sink, absentmindedly stirring her tea, though you’re not even sure if she actually intends to drink it. her fingers tap a slow rhythm against the ceramic mug, eyes fixed on some distant point.
you sit on a stool by the counter, arms crossed, so close yet so far away. the hum of the fridge, the faint ticking of the clock on the wall—everything sounds too loud in the midst of the silence between you.
"are you really not going to talk to me?" gracie finally says, her voice quieter than usual but heavy with frustration.
you exhale through your nose, hearing your own heartbeat echo inside your head. "i don’t know what you want me to say."
"i want you to say whatever it is that’s bothering you."
you shake your head, staring at a spot on the floor. "it’s nothing, gracie."
she laughs, but there’s no humor in it. "liar. you shut down the moment we got home. you barely looked at me all night. just tell me what’s going on!"
"i already told you—i’m fine."
"no, you’re not." she leans forward slightly, exasperated. "and i’m tired of pretending i don’t notice when you’re upset just because you refuse to talk to me."
your chest tightens. part of you knows she’s right. but another part—the one that’s been burning since last night, since that damn song and the way it made something ugly take root inside you—wants to resist.
you run your hands through your hair, a habit stolen from her. "maybe i just don’t want to talk about it, okay?"
gracie shakes her head. "god, why do you always do this? why do you always push me away when something’s wrong?"
"because i don’t want to fight with you!" you snap, your voice rising as your patience wears thin. "i don’t want to ruin the morning or… or make things weird before your show!"
gracie exhales sharply, setting her mug down on the counter harder than she intended. "and you think not talking makes everything better? because right now, it just feels like you’re shutting me out."
you press your fingers against your forehead, breathing heavily. "i just need time, okay?"
"time for what?" her voice wavers now, a trace of hurt seeping in. "for me to stop asking? for me to just sit here and pretend i don’t see that you’re upset?"
"for me to figure out how to talk without sounding like an idiot!"
that makes her pause. the tension between you crackles in the air, the silence stretching too long.
gracie swallows, the sound making you shiver.
"you know what? forget it," she says, turning back to the sink and picking up her tea.
you close your eyes for a moment, inhaling deeply. "gracie—"
"no, i get it." she cuts you off, taking a long sip. "you don’t want to talk. fine."
gracie turns back to you, searching your face for some sign of regret, but she finds nothing but confusion.
"in the end, i’m always the only one trying to fix things," she says before walking away, the sound of her heavy footsteps echoing as she climbs the stairs.
you stay there, sitting on the stool, staring at the empty space where gracie stood just seconds ago.
your fingers grip the edge of the counter, and you let out a shaky breath, frustration still pulsing beneath your skin. this wasn’t how you wanted the morning to go. this wasn’t how you wanted things to be before her show.
but now it’s done.
you rub your face, trying to clear your thoughts. but everything feels blurred, tangled—a mess of emotions you don’t know how to unravel.
the apartment suddenly feels too small. the air inside it, too heavy.
you need to get out.
standing up quickly, you grab a sweatshirt draped over a chair and shove your keys into your pocket. the soft click of the door unlocking echoes through the apartment, but there’s no sound from upstairs. no attempt to stop you from leaving.
a part of you wishes there was.
you walk down the stairs slowly, hands buried in your pockets, with no real destination in mind. you just keep moving.
the cold morning air hits you the moment you step outside, and an immediate urge to cry swells inside you. your nose starts to sting, your eyes well up, and before you know it, those words are replaying in your head again.
"and you know, you know every inch of my body."
you know she loves you. you should let this go, shouldn’t you? but he lingers, always there, in the back of your mind.
last night, when gracie wrapped her arms around you, kissed the nape of your neck, and told you she loved you, you wanted to turn around, hold her tighter, tell her you loved her more, and start a silly argument over it.
but every time she touched you, all you could think about was how he felt.
had gracie ever looked at you and seen him? in the dark of the bedroom, between kisses and whispered promises, had a part of him ever slipped into her mind?
and if, just for a moment, she had wished it was him instead of you?
you try to push the thought away, try to hold onto the certainties gracie gives you—the way she reaches for your hand without thinking, the way her eyes light up when she talks about you, the i love yous that sound so real.
but doubt creeps in, spreading like a loose thread unraveling everything.
what if they’re not?
what if, deep down, you’re only here because he’s not?
the thought tightens in your chest. you swallow hard and keep walking, unfamiliar streets closing in around you.
but nothing feels as endless or inescapable as the maze inside your own mind.
the lights dim, and the crowd erupts into cheers. the air is electric, pulsing with anticipation, and gracie feels it thrumming through her veins. she grips the microphone tightly, fingers trembling just slightly, but she forces herself to take a deep breath. this is her moment—her show. no matter what happened this morning, she needs to push through.
but she knows better than to think she can just shut it out.
as she steps onto the stage, her eyes scan the audience, moving quickly over the sea of faces. the adrenaline in her chest spikes as she catches sight of you.
standing near the back, hands buried in your pockets, shoulders drawn tight, looking at her like you’re not sure whether you want to be here or not.
the moment stretches between you, thick with words left unsaid.
gracie knows that for months she has been exposing you to these painful memories embedded in her own songs. but she also knows that they are past pains, without weight or meaning, and she expected you to know that too. if something was wrong, you would tell her. wouldn't you? but as she stands there, watching you from the stage, doubt grips her chest.
did i cross the line?
abrams swallows hard, forcing herself to keep moving, to wave at the fans screaming her name, to smile like she’s okay. but her mind is already somewhere else, stuck in the heaviness of this morning, the way you looked at her, the sound of the door clicking shut behind you as you left.
she drags in another breath, stepping up to the mic as the opening chords of the first song hum through the speakers. the setlist is the same as always, but tonight, everything feels different. she wonders if you can feel it too, if the weight pressing down on her is pressing down on you as well.
and then the next song starts.
the one that ruined everything last night.
the crowd sings along, voices blending with hers. her gaze, however, is locked on yours. she sings the line without hesitation, without breaking, watching the way your jaw clenches, your eyes darkening just slightly. she wonders if you can tell that she’s looking at you. if you can hear what she’s trying to say through the words that once meant something else.
i didn’t mean to hurt you.
it’s just a song. it’s just a song.
but that doesn’t make it any less real, does it?
the song ends, the moment passes, and yet, the weight lingers. the rest of the show blurs together—flashes of movement, chords, applause—but that moment stays lodged in her ribs, burning like something she doesn’t know how to name.
by the time the final song fades, the crowd’s cheers ring in her ears, and gracie barely remembers getting through it. sweat clings to her skin as she steps backstage, her heart still pounding too fast, and she doesn’t know if it’s from the performance or the way you looked at her.
she doesn’t have time to figure it out before she hears movement behind her.
turning slowly, she finds you standing there, just a few feet away.
you’re still wearing that same guarded expression, the one that makes something in her ache, but there’s something else beneath it now. something hesitant. something like regret.
she wants to say something, anything—but what is there to say?
where were you?
are you okay?
i’m sorry?
but before she can choose the perfect false words, you take the first step. "we should talk… at home."
"yeah, definitely," she says almost automatically.
you hold each other’s gaze for a moment, both fidgeting with your hands—shared habits.
the ride home is silent. the radio plays some random melody, but neither of you really listens. gracie keeps her hands on her thighs, fingers restless, resisting the urge to reach out. she doesn’t know if it would be welcomed. if she still can.
on the other side, you stare out the window, your hand so close to hers. close enough that if one of you just…
but no one moves.
back home, the silence is just as heavy. gracie drops her bag on the counter but doesn’t step away, fingers gripping the marble as if she needs something solid to hold onto.
this time, there are no distractions. just the two of you and the space between you.
"can we talk now?" gracie asks, her voice low.
"yeah," you answer hesitant. but it takes a moment before you can actually speak.
gracie’s breath seems caught in her chest as she waits, and you hate it—hate how uncertainty spreads across her features, like she’s bracing for something bad. but the truth is, you don’t even know how to put what you’re feeling into words.
you run your tongue over your dry lips before finally saying:
"that song last night, two people… it really fucked me up."
gracie blinks a few times, surprised by the raw honesty in your voice. she swallows hard before responding.
"i didn’t…" she pauses, the words dying before they fully form. "i didn’t mean for it to hurt you."
"i know." you squeeze your fingers, letting out a heavy sigh. "but it did."
gracie nods slowly, eyes fixed on you, unsure of where to step. "you never said anything before. about the song, about…" she hesitates. "him."
"because i thought i was fine," you admit, your voice coming out rougher than you intended. "i thought i had let it go. but hearing it—hearing you sing it—just brought everything back, and i hated it. i hated that it still gets to me."
gracie stays silent for a moment, her gaze locked on you like she’s searching for the right thing to say. then, in a hesitant, almost resigned tone, she asks:
"do you want me to stop singing it?"
do you want that?
"because if you do, i will."
"of course not," you say, shaking your head. "that’s not the point, gracie."
"then what is the point?"
"i don’t fucking know!" tears start streaming down your face, and suddenly, you’ve never felt more exposed than now. "i’m sorry…" you bring your hands up to your face, as if trying to hide somehow.
gracie doesn’t think. she just moves.
before she can second-guess herself, she closes the space between you, wrapping her arms around your trembling frame. you tense at first, your body stiff against hers, but then, slowly, you sink into it.
your hands clutch the fabric of her jacket, desperate for something to hold onto, something solid in the middle of everything unraveling inside you.
gracie presses her face into your hair, eyes squeezing shut. "hey," she whispers, voice barely steady. "it’s okay. you don’t have to be sorry."
but you shake your head against her shoulder, fingers tightening. "i hate this," you choke out. "i hate feeling like this. like i’m stuck. like i—" your breath catches, breaking apart in your throat.
gracie pulls back just enough to look at you, cradling your face in her hands, her thumbs brushing the tears from your cheeks. her gaze is searching, pained, but steady. "then don’t do it alone." she almost whispers. "let me be here. let us figure this out together."
"look at me," she continues, tilting your chin up with gentle fingers.
your breath hitches. "gracie—"
"i love you."
you swallow hard, eyes flickering between hers. "i know that you love me."
"no." her grip tightens, not to hold you in place, but to make you feel her, to feel the weight of what she’s saying. she looks at you like she’s searching for something deeper, something that words alone can’t reach. "i don’t want you to just know. i need you to feel it. i need you to feel it in every vein in your body, how much i want you, how much i love you, y/n."
your chest tightens, throat burning with unshed tears.
"you’re my baby, my girl, my fucking adorable, sweet princess," she breathes, her forehead resting against yours. "i’d give you the whole damn universe if you asked me. and i’m sorry for not noticing how hard this has been for you."
"you don’t have to do anything," you shake your head. "it’s not your responsibility. it’s not your fault."
gracie lets out a soft, almost disbelieving laugh, brushing a stray tear from your cheek with her thumb. "i’m your girlfriend, of course it’s my responsibility. but it’s not just that—i want to. i want to be here. i want to hold this with you."
you let out a shaky breath, your forehead still pressed against hers. the warmth of her hands, the closeness of her body, it’s the only thing keeping you grounded.
gracie watches you, waiting, giving you space even as she holds you close. there’s no rush, no expectation. just her, just this moment, just the steady rhythm of her breathing mixing with yours.
"i don’t know how to stop feeling like this," you admit, voice barely above a whisper.
"you don’t have to figure it out all at once. we’ll take it one step at a time. no pressure, no rush. just us."
you close your eyes for a moment, letting yourself lean into her, feeling the warmth of her presence wrap around you like something safe, something solid.
then, after a beat, you whisper, "say it again."
gracie pulls back just enough to meet your gaze, her lips curving into a soft, knowing smile. "i love you."
you shake your head. "no. the whole thing."
her hands tighten around your face, eyes dark and unwavering as she speaks again, voice like a vow:
"i don’t want you to just know how much i love you. i need you to feel it. in every breath, every touch, every part of you. you’re my baby, my girl, my sweet, adorable princess. and i’d give you the universe if you asked me."
tears slip silently down your cheeks, but this time, they don’t feel heavy. it’s love, because of love.
gracie catches one with her thumb, her smile turning just a little teasing, a little mischievous. "and i’m never singing two people again unless you say it’s okay."
you let out a breathy, tearful laugh, shoving her shoulder lightly. "i never said that."
she grins, eyes crinkling, before she leans in and presses the softest, most deliberate kiss to your lips. like a promise. like a beginning.
gracie doesn’t pull away right away. she lingers her lips barely brushing yours, memorizing the shape of you, like she’s making sure you feel every ounce of her love in that kiss. when she finally does part from you, it’s only far enough to rest her forehead against yours again, her breath mingling with yours in the small space between you.
"you okay?"
you nod, a little shy now, a little overwhelmed but in a way that doesn’t hurt as much anymore.
she smiles, thumbs still tracing light patterns on your cheeks before one hand slips down, lacing her fingers with yours. "come here," she says, giving your hand the gentlest tug.
abrams leads you to the couch, pulling you down with her, and before you can even think, she’s tucking you against her side, wrapping you up in warmth. it’s so easy, so effortless—the way your body finds its place against hers, the way her arm fits snugly around your waist, like you were always meant to be here.
"do you wanna talk more?" she asks after a moment, her voice soft. "or do you just wanna stay like this for a while?"
you don’t answer right away. instead, you shift, pressing your face into the curve of her neck, breathing her in. she smells like vanilla and something distinctly her, something comforting.
"this," you murmur against her skin. "just this."
gracie hums, pressing a lingering kiss to your temple. "okay, baby. just this."
and so you stay there, tangled together in the quiet, her fingers trailing lazy patterns along your back, your hands resting against her chest, feeling the steady rise and fall of her breathing.
it’s not perfect. there’s still a lot to talk about, a lot to work through. but for now, in this moment, in her arms, you feel safe.
and that’s enough.

"CAN I...?"
Another fic with him because I need him so bad isn't funny anymore, please just one chance Dave PLEASE I love him
I hope you like it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You and Dave had been friends for quite some time.
You had gone to each other's houses on countless occasions, but in the last few weeks something had changed between you.
Your best friend ignored your messages and when you were together he would quickly look away from you, as if he was trying not to pay you more attention than necessary.
That's why, tired of that strange situation, and taking advantage of the fact that you were alone in his room in the middle of an afternoon of studying, you decided to leave the notebook on his bed, where you were doing your homework, to look at him.
He turned around when he heard the knock, his blue eyes went from the notebook to you for a moment.
"Why did you do that?" he asked, putting a hand on his chest. "You scared me."
"We both know that's not true," you said, crossing your arms. "Spit it out."
"What?" –he questioned, staring at you intently-
-You've been ignoring me for weeks, Dave –you reminded him, as if he didn't already know- if I've done something that has offended you, I'm sorry, okay? But I can't go on like this –you confessed- I miss my best friend
He left the pen he was holding on the table, while he turned his desk chair around to focus fully on you.
-Sorry, it's just been a few rough weeks and I… –he swallowed hard- yes, that's the reason I've behaved like this
-You're a very bad liar –you murmured, holding his gaze- I know you too well to know when you're being sincere and when you're not, and now you're not –you paused for a second before asking in your most reassuring tone- What's wrong?
He lowered his head for a moment, before focusing on the slippers he was wearing.
-I… -he swallowed nervously- before I tell you, promise me it won't affect our friendship
You raised an eyebrow
-Are you gay? –you questioned, he frowned and shook his head vigorously-
-What? No!
-It wouldn't be a problem if you were –you added- there are a lot of boys in our school who…
-I like you –he interrupted you, making you open your eyes wide-
You blinked a couple of times quickly, as if your ears had gone bad, and you hadn't understood him well.
-What? –you asked, dazed, staring at the way his blue eyes shone-
-I like you –he repeated, looking away somewhere other than you- I'm sorry, I… I wanted to tell you before, but I didn't want to… -he took a deep, shaky breath- I was afraid this would end our friendship
-Nothing is over, Lizewski –you affirmed- you will always be my friend, no matter what
-No matter what happens –he repeated in a low voice-
Now it was your turn to ask
-Since when? –you wanted to know, he tilted his head, sketching a shy little smile that made you want to get up to kiss him-
-I don't know for sure –he confessed- but I think it was since we were paired together in the science project –he explained- Do you remember? you invited me over to your house to do it, and then when it got late you insisted I stay for dinner and the night –he looked up at you again- you were wearing green jeans, a white t-shirt and a black bow to hold your hair back –he listed blushing with embarrassment as he remembered all the details- you were… -he swallowed nervously again before finishing- you were very pretty
-Oh, Dave, I… -you started, but he stopped you with a nod-
-It’s okay if you don’t feel the same –he said- I… I feel better now that you know –he confessed- it was too heavy a burden to carry alone
-I was going to say that I feel the same for you –you confessed, this time you were the one who blushed and he stared at you with his beautiful blue eyes- I’ve never felt this way about anyone –you confessed- and I think… -you pressed your lips tightly before saying- I think I’m in love with you
-Really? –he asked hopefully, as he stood up and sat down next to you on his bed slowly-
-Yes –you whispered, his closeness making all the barriers you had built around yourself to protect yourself from his charm fade away little by little- Are you…?
-Yes –he interrupted nervously- yes, I think so –he said making both of you smile- Can I… -he looked down at your mouth before fixing it on your eyes again- can I kiss you?
-It's not that you can –you whispered unable to take your gaze off his pink lips- it's that you have to
His lips connected with yours delicately, as if he was making sure that this was real, that you were in front of him and that this was really happening.
You returned the kiss following the movement of his lips, at the same time that you placed your hands behind his neck, catching several curls of his brown hair between your fingers.
He sighed into your mouth as you lightly pulled him closer. You felt like you were going to melt just from hearing him.
He pulled away from you to catch his breath, the lenses of his glasses fogged up and his lips swollen from the kisses you had given each other. You couldn't help but smile at the sight of each other.
-It seems that I'm not the only one who had dreamed of this moment -he mocked, sketching a half-smile-
You shook your head as if it were hopeless, before hooking your arms behind his neck again, bringing him closer to you.
-It's possible -you ventured- now kiss me, Dave
And that was exactly what he did

Small Rant About RE
Hello gang... This has been on my mind for awhile. Today we're talking about Resident Evil and particularly Leon stans. Now I'm gonna come out and say I am one of them! I love that silly little blonde man and he's like number 1 on my favorite capcom white boy tier list next to Cody from Final Fight/SF.
tw: mentions of rape, pedophilia, incest, abuse, and my opinion
Let me make it clear, I'm not kink shaming, I'm not advocating for censorship. Art and literature shouldn't be censored. Sex is cool. Kink is cool (when safe and consensual).
I'm gonna be one of those fans real quick and say, I've been an RE fan since I was like 7. That doesn't really mean much since I can't drink legally but I've been in love with Leon since elementary school. I watched my Dad and brother play RE6 co-op and man... Aka I've been in the fandom for a fat minute. Before the RE2 remake came out I'd see the occasional Dead Dove fic but that's whatever. But I have never seen this much dark romance about Leon of all people!
Like. Call it the T-Virus the way it's everywhere I swear I can't scroll down the damn tag without getting hit with a sexual crime. And let me say, I'm not new to fandom culture. I take don't like don't read to heart (I'm super picky LMAO). And I understand that, that's just how big fandoms are, more people, more bad eggs. I'm sure the majority of y'all are sweet people.
BUT I feel like I shouldn't have to say that romanticizing things like pedophilia, rape, abuse, and incest is disgusting in the big year 2025 but here we are. Honestly, I feel this way about a lot of the fics of other fandoms I'm in. I feel crazy seeing it everywhere and it makes me feel like some sort of sexual puritan. Am I insane for wanting freaky smut and not ...freaky smut??
There for sure is a bigger conversation here about how easily accessible porn is and how quick people to fall into these pipelines. Or how booktok caused a rise in the normalization of dark romance troupes and just pure porn writing (I still hate icebreaker). Or how quick form constant content is slowly leaking it's way into everything. But we’d be here for forever…
And like, it's just completely out of character?? Like if you're gonna write about that can it at least be in character? Wesker fits the dark romance thing LEAGUES better. But LEON?? THE POLICE OFFICER?? Did you even watch a walkthrough? Leon is a sweet upstanding guy with lots of trauma, that is the last thing he'd do to ANYONE! Not saying fics have to be completely accurate all the time but there's literally nothing fun about "Omg what if Leon RAPED you!?" HES NOT THE EVIL RESIDENT HERE GUYS! At some point it's not even about Leon (or whoever the fic is about) anymore, it's just someone wanting to share their sexual fantasies online.
These topics are almost never written with any care and are insanely insensitive to the survivors of these acts. I don't know, sexual crimes are literally some of the most deplorable acts of hatred and depravity someone can do onto another person. I can't imagine getting off to the suffering of others (in a heinous crime way not BDSM way) (BDSM is cool). Have some fucking empathy and stop thinking with your goon wad guys <3
Like at least take it to AO3 so that I can filter it out or smth...
Edit: I just woke up and remembered what else I was gonna say.
You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat their fictional characters. Another thing I don’t like are the Gooner mods for the games. Like they’re fun every once in a while and like if it’s a capcom game you have to expect it. At some point though, it just stops being sexy and feels gross or uncomfortable.
Idk maybe I’m in the minority here but there has never been a single time where I was playing any RE game and thought to myself, “man… I wish I could see Leon’s end rod whipping in the wind rn…” Obviously, I wanna see that man oiled up butt booty naked doing jumping jacks like as most normal people do but… zawg…
That’s also like an actual person?? At least for the remakes. Maybe this just isn’t my dove to eat but the treat Leon like some sort doll. I know it’s kinda weak to be like this for a fictional person but yeah </3

Baby, dont cry, please. [L.HS]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
— synopsis: when you and heeseung go to a party but you end up drinking a little too much than intended.
wc: 1.1k | genre: genre: fluff, slight angst(if you squint) | cw: drunk talking, hee is a lil agressive at the start, tbh barely anything… | @teddybeartaetae
Tumblr media
You and Hee were at a party. You were in the middle of the crowd with your friends while Heeseung was with his--at the bar. You dont usually go to parties but you'd always attend the ones that your boyfrined went to because you didn't want to be alone at home you wanted to make sure no girl would hit him up..
A few hours passed by, you had taken a few drinks by then—feeling a little tipsy. Heeseung knew you weren't the easiest to handle when you got drunk, so when realized how long it had been since they arrived, he decided to go search for you before you do something you might regret later.
He had been searching for you for around 10 minutes now, still nowhere to be seen. He saw your friends but couldnt see you, assuming you had left them. At this point, he started getting anxious, pushing people a little more agressively than before when trying to pass by. Until, he tripped on someone he didnt realize was in his way. "Y/n?-" "y/n sweetheart where the hell have you been!" he says as he pulls you by the arm and takes you out the door, surprised that you were the one he bumped into.
"H-hhiii seungieee" you mutter out, clinging onto his arm—trying not to lose him as he drags you. "Where were you?" he asks when you both finaly make it out the door. "I was with my-" hiccup "friiiends!" You blabbered out, "Really? I couldnt see you." He replied firmly—to which you responded with—“I promise i was with them.”
You were clearly tipsy Heeseung let out a frustrated sigh, his grip tightening around your wrist as he pulled you further away from the chaotic party. The loud music still thumped through the walls, but out here, in the chilly night air, everything felt quieter—tense.
You stumbled slightly, giggling at nothing in particular, but Heeseung wasn’t amused. His jaw was clenched, his brows furrowed in irritation. “You’re drunk,” he muttered, more to himself than to you.
“I’m not drunk,” you pouted, trying to pull away from his grip. “Just a little tipsyyy~”
Heeseung rolled his eyes, his free hand coming up to pinch the bridge of his nose. “You always say that right before you do something reckless.”
“I was not being reckless!” you protested, stomping your foot.
Heeseung let out a dry laugh. “Really? Then where the hell were you? I’ve been looking everywhere for you, and you were nowhere to be found!” His voice wasn’t loud, but it carried a sharpness that made your already tipsy brain slow down.
You blinked up at him, lips parting slightly. “I already told you! ‘was ’with my friends…”
“For the first half of the night, maybe,” he shot back. “But I checked. You weren’t with them anymore.”
You opened your mouth to argue but quickly shut it. Truthfully, you had wandered off. Everything had started blurring together after a few drinks, and in the heat of the moment, you didn’t think it mattered.
But now, standing in front of Heeseung, watching the way his nostrils flared and his hands twitched at his sides, you realized—this wasn’t just about you drinking. This was about him being worried.
Your lips wobbled, and you felt your eyes sting. “You’re mad at me…”
Heeseung sighed, the irritation on his face faltering for just a second. “I’m not mad, I’m just—” He ran a hand through his hair, his voice softer now. “I was worried about you, okay? You’re tipsy, alone, and anything could’ve happened.”
You sniffled, the alcohol in your system amplifying every emotion tenfold. “I-I didn’t mean to make you worry…” Your voice was small, fragile, and when Heeseung looked down at you, he saw the way your lower lip trembled.
He exhaled slowly. “Baby, don’t—”
But it was too late. Tears welled up in your eyes, spilling over before you could stop them. A choked sob escaped your lips, and you quickly covered your face with your hands. “I-I feel so bad now,” you hiccuped between cries.
Heeseung cursed under his breath, guilt immediately replacing his frustration. He had seen you cry before, but this—this was different. You were sobbing, shoulders shaking, hiccups mixing in with tiny gasps for air.
And worst of all? You looked heartbreakingly pretty while doing it.
Your flushed cheeks, glassy eyes, and quivering lips made something deep in his chest ache. Even through his frustration, he couldn’t help but think you looked so delicate, so precious.
“Shh, baby, don’t cry,” Heeseung murmured, stepping closer and wrapping his arms around you. “I’m not mad, I promise. Just breathe for me, okay?”
But you only buried your face into his chest, muffling another sob. Heeseung sighed, rubbing slow circles into your back. “You’re making me look like the bad guy here,” he mumbled, but his tone was laced with fondness.
“I’m sorryyyy,” you whimpered against him.
Heeseung shook his head, pressing a kiss to the top of yours. “Nothing to be sorry for, angel. Just don’t wander off like that again, okay?”
You nodded into his chest, clinging onto his jacket like your life depended on it. Heeseung smiled softly, feeling you melt into him, your breathing slowly evening out.
After a few minutes, he pulled back slightly, cupping your puffy cheeks with both hands. “Feeling better?”
You sniffled and nodded, eyes still watery. “Mhm…”
“Good.” Heeseung wiped a stray tear from your cheek with his thumb before tilting his head. “You’re so cute when you cry, you know that?”
Your eyes widened slightly, and a fresh wave of warmth rushed to your cheeks. “D-Don’t say that!” you whined, lightly smacking his chest.
Heeseung chuckled, the last remnants of tension leaving his body. “What? I’m serious.”
You pouted, but the way you shyly tucked your face into his chest again told him you weren’t really mad.
“Come on,” he said after a moment, “let’s get you home before you start crying again.”
You peeked up at him, rubbing at your tired eyes. “Will you cuddle me when we get home?”
Heeseung smirked, wrapping an arm around your waist as he started leading you toward his car. “What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t?”
You let out a small giggle, letting him guide you, completely safe in his arms.

Stay With Me | B Faber
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Brock have been together since high school, your love unwavering through the years. But now, with his career taking off, you feel like you’re being left behind. When you start to pull away, Brock notices—and he won’t let you go without a fight.
-
You don’t realize how much you’ve pulled away until you catch Brock staring at you across the living room, his brown eyes dark with frustration. His duffel bag is still slung over his shoulder, fresh from practice, but he hasn’t moved. Hasn’t even bothered to take off his shoes. He’s just watching you.
“Are you even going to say hi to me?” His voice is low, tinged with something sharp. It makes your stomach twist because you didn’t mean for things to get like this.
“Hi,” you murmur, barely looking up from your spot on the couch. It’s pathetic, and you know it. You should at least pretend things are normal, even if they haven’t been for a while.
Brock exhales harshly, dropping his bag to the floor. The sound makes you flinch, and he notices. His jaw clenches. “Okay, seriously. What’s going on with you?”
“Nothing.”
“That’s bullshit.” His voice rises slightly, frustration finally breaking through. “You barely talk to me anymore. You barely even look at me.”
You swallow hard, staring at your hands in your lap. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Yeah, you do.”
Silence stretches between you, thick and suffocating. You don’t have the words for this. You don’t know how to explain that watching him succeed—watching him live this life that’s getting bigger and bigger while you feel like you’re standing still—hurts more than you ever expected.
You’re so, so proud of him. You’ve been there since the beginning, when he was just a kid playing hockey in Maple Grove, dreaming of something bigger. You went to Minnesota with him, stood by his side through every high and low. But now, with him in the NHL, it feels like he’s soaring while you’re stuck on the ground.
And maybe that’s where you belong.
“You should go,” you whisper, the words tasting like poison on your tongue.
Brock stiffens. “What?”
“You should go.” You finally look up at him, eyes burning. “You don’t need me holding you back.”
His brows furrow. “What the hell are you talking about?”
You shake your head, trying to keep the tears at bay. “I can’t keep up with you, Brock. Your life is—” You gesture vaguely, trying to find the words. “It’s everything you always dreamed of. And I’m just… me. I don’t belong in it.”
His face twists, something breaking in his expression. “That’s not fair,” he says, voice rough. “That’s not fucking fair, and you know it.”
You press your lips together, looking away. If you don’t say it now, you never will. “I think you’d be better off without me.”
Silence.
Then, a harsh laugh. But there’s no humor in it—just disbelief, just hurt.
“Are you serious right now?” Brock takes a step closer, but you don’t move. You can’t. “Do you think any of this—any of what I have—means anything without you?”
You squeeze your eyes shut. “Brock—”
“No.” His voice cracks, and when you finally meet his gaze, your heart shatters. He looks devastated. “You think I want this without you? That I’d rather come home to an empty apartment? That I’d rather not have you waiting for me, telling me how bad I played, or how I need to eat something other than takeout?”
You let out a shaky breath. “I don’t want you to resent me.”
He exhales sharply, running a hand through his hair. “Jesus, babe. I could never resent you.” His voice softens, raw and real. “You’re my home. You always have been.”
Your throat tightens.
He steps forward, so close now that you can feel the warmth of him. “I don’t care how big my life gets, okay? It’s only worth it if you’re in it.” He swallows, voice barely above a whisper. “Please don’t do this.”
You break.
Tears spill over, and before you can stop yourself, you’re reaching for him. He catches you instantly, wrapping his arms around you like he’s afraid you’ll slip through his fingers. You clutch at his hoodie, burying your face in his chest, breathing him in.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper, voice cracking.
He presses a kiss to your hair, his grip tightening. “Just stay with me,” he murmurs. “That’s all I need.”
And in that moment, you realize—maybe you don’t have to let him go to love him. Maybe, just maybe, you can still belong.

I generally try to avoid being all serious on this blog, but I do want to make this post, so. TW for allusions to suicidal ideation.
Because the thing is, Shoot from the Hip saved my life.
I found them a little over a year ago, right when my mental health was about the worst it’s been. I have a chronic illness, and I’d been ill for almost a year at that point. I hated my life. I felt horrible. I wasn’t enjoying anything anymore. I wanted nothing more than for it to stop.
And then, one day, I was looking for something to watch while I was knitting. [I don’t knit, but I was hyperfixated on it at the time.] And HUGE came up on my home page. I didn’t think I’d like it, since it didn’t seem like my thing, but I thought I’d watch five minutes, just to see if I’d enjoy it. It was the first time I’d laughed in months. And an hour and a half later, I knew I’d found my new favourite thing.
Obviously it didn’t fix everything. But it got me through, because it was something I enjoyed doing, because it was something to look forward to. And I’m doing a lot better now—not great, but better—but I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them.
And I guess the point of this post is just that I really hope they know how big of a difference they make for their fans. Because they’re the best. And I hope they know that.

cloud gazing — epic!telemachus x reader
Tumblr media
pairing: telemachus x gn!reader synopsis: after years of serving as the queen’s guard, (Y/N) never expected their favorite moments to be spent with the prince of Ithaca—not because of who he is, but because, for the first time, they’ve found a place that feels like home. warnings: mentions of poverty, so starving child, stealing, cold night cold days etc, tele being cute, lil guard being cute and sad word count: 465 author's note: thought ab this as my sims were cloud gazing and it instantly brought a smile to my face oml guardwolf. also ! lil guard's first pov, nice !
not proofread.
pt 1: here!
Tumblr media
(Y/N) and Telemachus lay side by side on the soft grass outside the palace walls, staring up at the endless blue sky, barely covered by the refreshing shadow of an apple tree. The afternoon sun was warm, and a gentle breeze carried the scent of the sea, mingling with the distant hum of Ithaca’s life below. For once, Penelope didn’t need their protection—locked away in her chambers, weaving the shroud while the seventeen year old prince and the guard had some time to spare and to get away from the suitors that seemed to multiply by the second.
"That one," Telemachus pointed lazily at a drifting cloud, "looks like a ship. Don’t you think?"
(Y/N) just hummed in thought, squinting up at the white mass before responding with a slight playful tone. "More like a sea monster about to swallow a ship whole..."
Telemachus turned his head to look at them, his lips quirking up. "You always see the most dramatic things."
They smirked. "And you always see the hopeful ones, my prince."
Tumblr media
The sky was the same shade of blue back then. The clouds drifted just as lazily, painted golden by the afternoon sun. But there was no warmth, no apple tree—only hunger gnawing at their ribs, only the bite of the wind through their torn, threadbare clothes. Their bare feet pressed into dry, cracked earth as they sat alone, arms wrapped around their knees, staring up at the sky like it held answers from the gods themselves.
Their stomach ached. They had counted the days since their last proper meal—five? Six? Longer? The sun had been high when they last found a scrap of bread left too long in the market dust.
They pointed at a cloud, whispering to no one. "That one looks like a ship."
Their voice barely carried in the empty field.
Ships meant the possibility of escape, of going somewhere, anywhere that wasn’t here.
(Y/N) shivered and pulled their knees closer. The wind whistled, rustling through the dry grass, and their stomach twisted again. The world was too big, and they were too small, and the sky, as wide and endless as it was, held no answers.
Not yet.

Telemachus’ voice brought them back. "You see it now? The ship?"
The guard blinked, turning their head to him. He was watching them, soft and curious, waiting for their response.
(Y/N) thought back to that day, alone and shivering, starving and helpless. And right now, they weren't hepless, and most importantly, they weren't alone anymore.
They let out a slow breath, then smiled. "Yeah," they murmured, leaning just a little closer while they turned their attention to the sky once more. They had all the answers that they needed now.
"I see it."
