Last DMC rant before the anime comes out!!

Okay so I saw the teaser and the little YouTube short and first off I am super excited! I can tell they’re locked in on the action portion of the show as one of the main criticisms of the 2007 anime was the lack luster action.

I know previously I doubted it but as more teasers came out I think it’s gonna be a fun watch. And the little YouTube short from the QR clip was super cute loved the DMC5 ref.

I’m gonna finish my homework and when it drops at 12am I’ll binge it as a reward 😻😻😻

DMC anime pt. 3 teaser spoilers ig?

Just saw the teaser and WOW so MUCH to talk about!!! First of all, Fredi's (har har har) mention from the 2007 anime!! I loved seeing my diva Cindy and the love interest guy. Sucks they didn't give him that low ass v-neck though.

AND I KNEW IT THAT WASN'T ACTUALLY VERGIL!!!! THAT WAS A IMPOSTER AND DAN SOUTHWORTH IS COMING BACK (the 2nd part is me coping). If the real Vergil shows himself and it's the same voice I might crash out a bit but that's a later issue. Idk how I feel about lofi bury the light but we only heard like 5 seconds of it so maybe it's fire.

Also like... maybe I'm just picky and he looks fine but Vergil looks weird. I thought he looked fine when he first got revealed but now that I'm really looking at him... I think it's the lack of hair. Big forehead not enough hair. like obviously it's not gonna be 1:1 (duh) but man. He looks like he's cosplaying Vergil. I mean he is but if that's how he's gonna look throughout the series jeepers!

ALSO he doesn't have ebony and ivory? He just has pistols tm (DMC 2 reference?). Perchance in this universe he doesn't get them until later, or maybe that is E&I and I'm tripping.

Still getting used to Dante's voice but I'm gonna keep gaslighting myself into liking it. Animation looks #fire I'm so excited!! I need to talk about this with someone omg.

Edit: I just rewatched the teaser again and it might’ve been the fact I just woke up when I watched it but bro looks fine 💀💀

[ Rashid Turbulent Wind Headcannons !? ]

A/N : hello freaks👅 Yeah I'm a slow writer what can I say. It's finals season and I have to study for my exams, then finish my 2 art finals by Tuesday but I don't feel like doing it right now... Once break hits I'll lock in a post for that week only.

Rashid is so silly I always smile when I play him. Fun fact he's my 2nd main! It goes Ed, Rashid, Jamie, then Aki if you were wondering (y'all dgaf LMAOO)

Doesn't really keep up with the more hands on or resource heavy hobbies but I can see him drawing his own thumbnails or small doodles for his twitter.

Critiques the different ads or displays he sees when he's traveling with Azam and they're walking around a major city.

Makes schlatt-esque videos but they're more ad friendly. Like rankings or him just doing random shit. On the SF twt equivalent there’s a running gag of “what the fuck is Rashid doing now?”

It started cause within the span of 3 days Rashid fought a world renowned MMA fighter, blew glass, did a no sleep stream wandering around Metro City, got jumped on said stream and won, met the Mayor, fought the Mayor, ran into R. Mika and did an impromptu Mario kart stream, then got banned from Footube for copyright infringement.

Which then caused him to go completely dead for a week before posting a picture with the caption:

"The opportunity of defeating the enemy is presented by the enemy himself"

He later reveals on stream that someone tried to steal his account but he "showed them who's the alpha."

Really good at just dance (and really competitive).

Loves horror movies but he's really jumpy. Like popcorn everywhere, jumping around on the couch, and screaming like a little girl.

He's only embarrassed about it if the ladies (or guys...) are around.

That's a bisexual man if I've ever seen one.

Rashid reminds me of Dante from DMC in a way. They're both super goofy fun guys that the fandom characterizes as dumbasses when they're like super smart and serious dudes outside of that persona.

On that note, he probably has a lot nightmares regarding the events of SF5. He won't close the chat where she sent her last message and sometimes just looks at her offline avatar reminiscing kind of thing.

I can see avatar(you?) and Rashid bonding over both having lost friends (If you consider Bosch your friend ngl personally I'm not attached but we go around the world for the guy soooooo) due to Shadaloo activities.

I mean if we go by the world tour timeline then it'd be more like Rashid helping Avatar cope.

DMC anime rant because we don’t have enough of those…

My main thing is that the DMC vibe isn’t there. It has elements of the IP but that’s just it, it feels inspired by it. Which like no duh it’s a reboot/reimagining, so it not being exactly like the original is not a huge criticism. It just feels wrong though, like it’s wearing some dastardly meat suit of my beloved.

Do I like how they look? Ehhhhh. If Dante is supposed to be 18 like the time frame suggests then no, he looks too old. Idk it could work for like an after 3 show, def between 2 and 4.

I don’t like the demon designs. Agni and Rudra look like they’re were pulled from TABS and we might be in for a CGI ass pimple (will talk about animation later). Lady… Oh what did they do to my queen. Everyone’s talking about Vergil and Dante but have you SEEN what they put on my Diva????? WHY IS SHE IN A SPACE SUIT???? WHY IS SHE WORKING WITH THE SIDE CHARACTER BATTALION???? They sucked all the SSStyle out of her…

The animation looks pretty good but that’s only for the crazy battle scenes in the teasers, there is a fat chance we might get the invincible treatment and 15 minutes of each episode being made in go animate.

And… Vergil. My stinky binky boo boo bear… He wasn’t even in the trailer. Idk who that Buffoon in the Best Buy uniform was but I can’t believe he wasn’t there. Talking about some “long time no see brother” but maybe they’re gonna have a doppelgänger episode where the real Vergil is revealed.

In all seriousness though, I feel like out of anyone, capcom should know how important it was to nail Vergil. I was genuinely so shocked not hearing the Quantum ranger. Like out of all the VAs, Dan Southworth was the most likely to reprise his role. I hope more info comes out about it, I’m so curious (yeah🎶) on what happened. Dan loves playing Vergil that’s literally his baby (saying this like he told me that personally 💀). Like at the very least someone who sounds kinda like him in some way, I’ve seen my fair share of good Vergil impressions you couldn’t have found at least one??

Am I still gonna watch the show? I mean yeahh, I wanna complain if it’s bad. But it’ll be with a suspended belief and low expectations. My only hope is that it’s at the very least fun like the 2013 reboot. Was DMC squared a bad DMC? Ohhhhh yeah, but it was a fun game. Honestly the show might just face the same issue. Maybe everyone is gonna hate it now but in 10 years we’ll be like “wait guys… it was kinda fire…” and switch up. The worst thing the show can be, is boring. The moment you make DMC boring you need to pack your things and hand in your badge.

Things might look bleak now but let’s try to be optimistic guys 💔💔💔

Small Rant About RE

Hello gang... This has been on my mind for awhile. Today we're talking about Resident Evil and particularly Leon stans. Now I'm gonna come out and say I am one of them! I love that silly little blonde man and he's like number 1 on my favorite capcom white boy tier list next to Cody from Final Fight/SF.

Let me make it clear, I'm not kink shaming, I'm not advocating for censorship. Art and literature shouldn't be censored. Sex is cool. Kink is cool (when safe and consensual).

I'm gonna be one of those fans real quick and say, I've been an RE fan since I was like 7. That doesn't really mean much since I can't drink legally but I've been in love with Leon since elementary school. I watched my Dad and brother play RE6 co-op and man... Aka I've been in the fandom for a fat minute. Before the RE2 remake came out I'd see the occasional Dead Dove fic but that's whatever. But I have never seen this much dark romance about Leon of all people!

Like. Call it the T-Virus the way it's everywhere I swear I can't scroll down the damn tag without getting hit with a sexual crime. And let me say, I'm not new to fandom culture. I take don't like don't read to heart (I'm super picky LMAO). And I understand that, that's just how big fandoms are, more people, more bad eggs. I'm sure the majority of y'all are sweet people.

BUT I feel like I shouldn't have to say that romanticizing things like pedophilia, rape, abuse, and incest is disgusting in the big year 2025 but here we are. Honestly, I feel this way about a lot of the fics of other fandoms I'm in. I feel crazy seeing it everywhere and it makes me feel like some sort of sexual puritan. Am I insane for wanting freaky smut and not ...freaky smut??

There for sure is a bigger conversation here about how easily accessible porn is and how quick people to fall into these pipelines. Or how booktok caused a rise in the normalization of dark romance troupes and just pure porn writing (I still hate icebreaker). Or how quick form constant content is slowly leaking it's way into everything. But we’d be here for forever…

And like, it's just completely out of character?? Like if you're gonna write about that can it at least be in character? Wesker fits the dark romance thing LEAGUES better. But LEON?? THE POLICE OFFICER?? Did you even watch a walkthrough? Leon is a sweet upstanding guy with lots of trauma, that is the last thing he'd do to ANYONE! Not saying fics have to be completely accurate all the time but there's literally nothing fun about "Omg what if Leon RAPED you!?" HES NOT THE EVIL RESIDENT HERE GUYS! At some point it's not even about Leon (or whoever the fic is about) anymore, it's just someone wanting to share their sexual fantasies online.

These topics are almost never written with any care and are insanely insensitive to the survivors of these acts. I don't know, sexual crimes are literally some of the most deplorable acts of hatred and depravity someone can do onto another person. I can't imagine getting off to the suffering of others (in a heinous crime way not BDSM way) (BDSM is cool). Have some fucking empathy and stop thinking with your goon wad guys <3

Like at least take it to AO3 so that I can filter it out or smth...

You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat their fictional characters. Another thing I don’t like are the Gooner mods for the games. Like they’re fun every once in a while and like if it’s a capcom game you have to expect it. At some point though, it just stops being sexy and feels gross or uncomfortable.

Idk maybe I’m in the minority here but there has never been a single time where I was playing any RE game and thought to myself, “man… I wish I could see Leon’s end rod whipping in the wind rn…” Obviously, I wanna see that man oiled up butt booty naked doing jumping jacks like as most normal people do but… zawg…

That’s also like an actual person?? At least for the remakes. Maybe this just isn’t my dove to eat but the treat Leon like some sort doll. I know it’s kinda weak to be like this for a fictional person but yeah </3

general ed headcanons

A/N: i thought it'd be nice to just share some ed headcanons that i think about quite often for some odd reason

TW: hmm nothing really ! maybe some typos cus i didn’t proof read anything , yolooo

starting this off with a banger; ed can’t drive.

but it’s not his fault! when he thinks about it, he’s never had a reason to drive. being raised by balrog would mean that he also benefited from the boxer’s wealth.

and of course, balrog would always have both him and ed in fancy cars or limos getting transported wherever they wanted.

even though he’s older and more dependant on himself, ed settles on using public transportation to make his way around town.

he’d never admit to anybody how often he used to get lost on the subway when first getting used to travelling on his own though…

this might be expected, but ed also has pretty bad eating habits. if he’s not accidentally starving himself (busy with travelling, working, lack of appetite, etc), he’s treating himself to a bunch of sweets and snacks.

it’s canon/confirmed that ed hates vegetables and loves sweets, so expect him to just be snacking on things like chocolate mint ice cream, licorice (both are his confirmed favourites !), candies, pastries etc.

since ed was in balrog’s care growing up, i doubt that he knew much of his own german heritage. it’s believable that he was quite out of touch with german culture until meeting falke.

since meeting his older sister figure, he’s learned to speak/understand quite a bit of german and enjoy german food ! (which isn’t really much a headcanon considering this is confirmed and very much canon)

falke definitely made him use duolingo to help teach him german, and ed can confirm that he despises the look of the duolingo bird. something about the way it looks… it rubs him the wrong way.

ed isn’t very into social media, but he has an account created on most platforms. he’s a huge lurker online too.

his accounts are somewhat anonymous and he’ll never have pictures of himself posted anywhere.

all his accounts are private with 6-10 followers who are just his neo shadaloo friends, balrog and probably you/world tour avatar.

on some occasions he’ll post pictures of snacks or meals that he’s eating, but even then it’s still not much.

however, he does follow a handful of accounts that post things he’s into. and due to that he’s adjusted his algorithm on all apps to show content related to boxing, pool/billiards, baking and pastry videos etc !

ed is a hot head and he can’t stop himself from arguing in comment sections—he always has to speak his mind.

even if he’s not arguing with people, he’ll sometimes leave small comments under certain things he’s fond of.

there’s a video of a candy shop tour? he’ll watch the whole thing in awe and comment something simple like “i gotta visit here some day”.

ed most likely has a small 1 bedroom apartment in metro city. it’s not the cleanest home, but at least he finds it comfortable.

he has charts scattered with pins, messy handwriting, photographs and more that helps him keep track of the shadaloo bases that he and his team find while saving other test subjects.

he’s only really home when it’s time to sleep.

in public spaces, ed prefers to keep to himself unless somebody is actively trying to get his attention.

since ed is always on the subway, he makes sure to be ready with lots of games to play on his phone. it’s no shocker that he’s a fan of pool games! it’ll keep him occupied no matter how long his train rides are.

adding a small bonus since it’s father’s day while i’m writing this…

ed totally celebrates with balrog every year on this occasion. knowing both of them, they probably think it’s too sappy to consider it as them celebrating father’s day.

but deep down they’re both aware of it and they’re grateful for each other ! truly the best father-son duo !
