In regards to that putting your favourite characters in a niche au that only you will understand:

Veilguard Div 1 college sports au where all of them are grad students at the same university (all of them got covid eligibility years). Rook (Cora) is a new transfer on the women's tennis team and an All-American(Thedosian?) aspirant that coach Dorian Pavus was really lucky to get (Tarquin is of course the grumpy assistant coach) but really she only came to the school because it's where Teia Cantori (a friend) is doing gymnastics there and she mentioned they have a good tennis program. Debating whether I want Rook to be ex-pro who flopped completely like me or just have her be a transfer. She and Teia end up rooming together but they need a third to be able to afford their apartment so they find Bellara on the internet somehow. Lucanis Dellamorte is a grad-assistant coach for the gymnastics team since the year before when he had a career-ending back injury (he was gonna go the the olympics or some shit idk). The other assistant coach is Viago de Riva who is just waiting and scheming for the day Caterina Dellamorte (gymnastics head coach) retires so he can have her job cause he'd be so much better than her. Him and Teia have had mutliple close calls with compliance almost finding out they're sleeping together. Anyway Lucanis is grad-assistant and also really depressed because of said career-ending injury so the school pays for him to go the sports psych but he gets her graduate intern - Neve Gallus. Illario Dellamorte plays line 1 on the men's tennis team but Caterina still prefers Lucanis because she thinks tennis isn't a real sport. It's not Illario's fault tho because he was too tall to do gymnastics like she wanted. He's planning on going pro after college. Lucanis, Illario, Davrin (grad assistant coach for the football team who recently found a kitten in a dumpster that wont leave him alone) all live together and Viago is there more often than not because he doesnt have any other friends. Taash is gonna either be track and field or rugby I haven't decided, and Lace is a grad student in the training room with Emmrich being the head trainer. She sees Lucanis three times a week to oversee his rehab.

Neve suggests Lucanis get out and away from gymnastics for a bit and so Teia suggests he come with her and Bellara to see her roommate Rook play her first match of the season. Davrin and Illario tag along and Viago is already going because Teia is going. Illario has already flirted with Rook several times at practice to no avail (because that's just how men's tennis players are). Anyway the matvh starts and they're all watching and maybe Lucanis is getting distracted a little bit from his near-constant misery and pain when a tennis ball from Rook's court just accidentally hits him square on the fucking nose hard enough to make it bleed. The next thing he knows Rook's face is hovering over his almost crying with how sorry she is and Emmrich is trying to ask him if he's alright but he's a little disoriented and all he can think is that Rook's actually really pretty now that she's closer-

Hear me out: Robin Dick would be the biggest Bruceman supporter and shipper.

This boy hates any of Bruce’s love interest with a passion because then his dad guardian spends less time with him and that’s obviously UNACCEPTABLE, SCANDALOUS even, so when rumours start circulating that Bruce Wayne is in a relationship with the Batman, he jumps right on the wagon.

Reporter, thirsty for a story: Mr Grayson what do you think about the rumours that Bruce Wayne is dating the Batman?

Dick: What do I think about my dads you mean? My very married very taken dads? My very faithful to each other plural dads?

He would fuel the rumours both as Robin and as Dick Grayson, punching criminals for talking bad about Wayne enterprises as Robin (“THAT’S MY STEPDADS COMPANY YOURE TALKING ABOUT!”). He would be on online forums all day talking about how Bruceman is the only Batman ship that makes sense and Doxxing people who disagree.

Bruce is so exasperated because this is happening at a time where only Alfred and Dick know his real identity so he can’t even do anything with ANYONE without making either Bruce Wayne or Batman look unfaithful.

Throw Reporter Clark Kent into the mix who has been sent to scope out the Bruceman story, who Bruce makes the mistake of flirting with at a gala. Both Clark AND dick are scandalised.

Dick, making a scene: HOW COULD YOU! BATMAN IS WAITING FOR YOU AT HOME AND YOURE HERE FLIRTING WITH SOME… SOME REPORTER??

Bruce, sighing: Dick-

Dick, tugging on Bruce’s suit and looking up at him with fake tears in his eyes: Dad, are you and dad getting a divorce? :(
