I attempted to include her crushes of Flyn Ryder (who dressed up like Iron Man), Loki (dressed up by Tulio), and Hawkeye (John Rofle), and eventually I thought I would include more MAREVLous characters from Avengers Assemble (a show she shared she likes). I attempted to cast characters who I feel fit the personality of the given comic book character, and yes Gaston is the Hulk, NOT Bruce Banner. Happy Halloween! =D Yes they are taking a group selfie. Been thinking about an au where Loki lives in new Asgard and they're trying to build a new bifrost (with Tony and Bruce). Eventually they get it working and Loki, knowing the most about both the original bifrost and this new version, is their first sentient person test subject. It goes two ways; the test works, Loki ends up at the location, the moon, and it helps him slot with getting over his fear of the bifrost, OR, it malfunctions, he ripped through space and time once more, and suddenly he's in the middle of nowhere, freezing, with a limited amount of oxygen in his suit (it's the one red, white and black from Endgame) and he's having a panic attack.

My favourite thing EVER is the little sub fandom that’s currently all of my tiktok fyp of Peter Parker in Gotham.

Like- I could go on for hours about how amazing theses fics are, but even on a sentimental level it’s so fucking cool to see.

Spider-Man (and the MCU in general) was literally my entire childhood. Ultimate Spider-Man? Avengers Assemble? Earth’s Mightiest Heroes? Little six year old me was drawing fanart before I even knew what fanart WAS. Andrew Garfield? #1 Celebrity crush growing up. The Marvel Cinematic Universe? I have my walls covered in posters, my laptop wallpaper is that one Cap vs Thanos’ army scene from endgame and I have an infinity gauntlet lamp on my bedside table.

Recently though, like October 2022, I’ve been obsessed with the batfam and DC in general. Learning as much as I can about the comics, watching all the CW tv shows (including titans) and all the movies. Hell- I’ve been watching shows like Young Justice (which was another childhood show), Teen Titans (03) + the tie-in comics for both, the Justice League animated series, and so many other that I’m blanking on.

It’s so fucking cool to see people who love Spider-Man and Marvel find these fics and start asking how to get into DC and vice versa. Like- humans are so fucking cute man idk T°T

I tried to watch avengers assemble (the animated series). At first I wanted to watch it for Black Widow but I'm so disappointed and angry at it. She's an avenger, one of the first one actually, she built the team with Fury and Coulson but as always, it's a male only show : all the characters are exclusively male, and sometimes for a few seconds, when they need a damsel in distress, there is a woman screaming or she finally appears! Only to be there for at most 2 minutes in the whole episode (25 minutes) and only maybe 2 or 3 episodes. Even the new guy who is not an avenger yet but is becoming one get more screen time and line and everything actually than her an actual avenger.

This is infuriating! Not just about her character lack of screen time, she often doesn't talk either, just appearance time to time, she is so invisible and reduce as a poor damsel in distress.

I'm so so so sick of this !!! Of this male only society, the entire planet is already practicing separatism, everything is male only. And if you dare create one female character even if she has one second of time screen then all the trash are screaming and crying that they are erased and replaced by those *Misogynistic insult*. It is truly sickening to live in a world where you are not supposed to even exist but your people is the one creating the entire humanity.

I crave to have shows where there is not a single male in it !! But if you dare say so, you're a terrorist blablabla. The entire world is already like this and it doesn't bother anyone! But when it's about the invisible humanity, females, then it's an outrage to the world ??? Having female representation is categorised as hatred or hate speech. 💀

The entire society is applying DARVO on us, this is gaslight, this is manipulation. We are not the one who genocide half the humanity that birthed us just because they exist. Male are. Every media, every movie, every song they create is built on their hate towards us, every thing they do is created only to full their hate speech Agenda.

The only few shows dominantly with females characters are the Barbies ones, the animated movies.

In all the Disney etc movies, the ''princess'' or female lead doesn't have any female friends, her only possible friends are all male. (Except some rare exceptions)

In the 101 Dalmatians, the only female one is only there because they needed a mother role to birth all of them !! That's her only purpose 💀

In the aristocats, the strays one should be all females, the male one are very similar to the humans too, the female too, they tend to bond and to live together with their kittens and the male are excluded. The adult males don't bond they fight eachother, they kill eachother. So a made up family of Stray cats can only exists if they are all females.

Same in the Lion King, the male are excluded and not the leader or king of anything. The lionesses are the Queens.

Female friendship or sisterhood is inexistant unless it's for serving the sole purpose of misogynistic agents like peak me etc.

Summary: Bucky wants you to meet his friends after the two of you have been dating several months. A brief mental crisis leads to not only love confessions but talk of the future between you.

A/N: I had a lot of fun playing with these two while also getting the chance to include an already established dynamic of Husband!Steve and his Wife!Reader. I'm hoping to write more for these two couples together in the future.

You couldn't help the nervous flutters that had long taken wing in your middle.

This was your first time meeting any of Bucky's close friends. The same friends that worked to keep the world safe every other day.

Never in your wildest dreams did you think you'd ever meet any of the Avengers. Let alone date one.

Then again, you didn't see an Avenger when you looked at Bucky Barnes.

You saw a man who'd seen and experienced some of the most unspeakable horrors. You saw a man who wanted to find some peace for himself and for those he'd directly affected through his years under HYDRA's control. You saw a man who was so incredibly kind to his neighbors and did everything he could to prove he wasn't that guy anymore.

In the few months you've known him, you couldn't help how soft you've grown for him.

A part of you hoped that he felt the same about you.

Sure, you had your flaws.

You had a giant reckless streak, but then, he quickly learned that the day you two met. It had to be your greatest flaw. You just hoped he knew how much you tried to keep that side of yourself in check. Sure, it didn't always work out, but then, you couldn't help how often you ran into bullies. Your absolute aversion to them is the only reason why you keep finding yourself in trouble time and again.

Like Bucky, you also tried your best to help out your neighbors when they needed help. It wasn't an uncommon sight to see you buying groceries and delivering them to the young, single mom who lived right below you or helping your oldest neighbor with the state paperwork for his benefits, including the housing allotment he got each month.

Animals, however, had to be both your greatest strength and weakness. So many of your free hours were spent at the nearby shelter where you worked with all the new arrivals. The sweet older dogs and cats who'd been surrendered because either their owners died or could no longer take care of them for one reason or another. The little pups and kittens who came into this world and then abandoned by owners who never took the extra precaution of spaying or neutering their pet, then couldn't be bothered to care for these little innocents.

Just that morning, you'd taken in a gorgeous white kitten with the brightest blue eyes. The sweet girl had taken to you despite her earlier spitting and hissing at the worker who'd collected from an overturned dumpster. It'd taken everything in you not to foster or adopt her right then, but she had to go through the normal quarantine protocols.

That didn't stop you from snapping a few photos to show Bucky when you got the chance.

If anyone shared your love for animals, it was Bucky himself.

You just knew without a doubt that he'd adore the little white kitten. Part of you hoped you got to his place before his friends so you could show him the photos you'd taken. Another part of you wanted to keep her a secret for a little bit longer. Maybe you'd show him the photos after this casual meet-and-greet so you'd be sure to have his full attention.

Such were your thoughts that the nervous fluttering in your middle had settled.

Well, at least until you approached Bucky's front door.

Taking a single breath, you raised your hand and knocked.

The door opened within moments.

"Hey, pretty lady," the man you recognized seconds later as Sam Wilson said. When the Falcon himself stretched his hand in the space between you, you almost thought this was a dream despite him taking your hand and gently tugging you inside. "Terminator has not shut up about you, and now I see why. You are gorgeous."

Heat suffused your cheeks.

"Don't flirt with my girl, bird brain."

Sam flashed you one of the cheekiest grins you'd seen in a while. "Flirt with my sister, Tin Man, and I get to flirt with your beautiful lady."

"Sam, you promised," a pretty woman said as she stepped out of Bucky's tiny kitchen with a serving platter.

She set the platter on the overloaded table that you helped Bucky pick out a few weeks ago. It'd been part of your mission to help him transform his apartment into a home for him. And maybe one day yourself but you refused to get ahead of yourself. Once she had it set just so, she hurriedly turned towards you and nudged Sam aside when he continued to keep you in the doorway with an amused grin.

"Ow, woman, you have sharper elbows than our resident Widow," he groused, rubbing at his arm. Despite his griping, you could tell that he wasn't too aggrieved as his grin merely softened when she shot him an eye roll.

"Come in, come in," she said to you while also waving Sam back towards the kitchen. "It's nice to finally meet you. Bucky really has had nothing but good things to say about you. Sam wasn't wrong. You are gorgeous."

"And you are married, Mrs. Rogers," Sam called out even as you caught Bucky letting out a small groan.

Unable to help yourself, you bit back a laugh when Mrs. Rogers shook her head. "I'm complimenting her, not flirting, Samuel. If you want to see me flirt, then just wait until Steve gets back with the ice."

Several groans came from the others.

Meeting Mrs. Rogers's eye, you managed to hold it together for a mere second. Then, you both let loose with soft chuckles.

When she finally regained herself, she dropped her voice. "You better check on your guy. He's been a bit of a nervous wreck since we got here. In the years I've known him, he's never been like this. You must be really special, and I hope you don't take that for granted."

The not-so-gentle warning couldn't have been made clearer.

Don't hurt Bucky, or there'll be hell to pay.

Not willing to confess your feelings to someone other than Bucky first, you settled for saying, "I've met good guys before, but none of them compare to Bucky. All I want is to make him feel as special as he makes me feel."

"You and I are going to get along well. I can tell," she said softly. "Now, go on. I'm going to make sure Sam isn't messing up our progress before the others get here."

"Oh, come on," Sam called out, affronted, while you made your way towards the hallway.

You tuned out their playful bickering as most of your attention zeroed in on Bucky's retreating back. His movements had a frenetic energy that you hadn't seen in him since your first date all those months ago. Nibbling on your bottom lip, you picked up your pace and caught up with him just as he entered his bedroom.

With a soft shove of your foot, the door swung closed behind you.

"You doing okay?"

Bucky nodded though he didn't lift his gaze to meet yours.

Instead, he kept it firmly on whatever sat within the top drawer of his dresser. A few items lay scattered across the top, including a photo he'd framed of you two on your third date. The Cyclone roller coaster took up most of the background as you two showed off the sweet treats you'd gotten after riding it for the fourth time. It'd been a fun date, and you could only hope you two got to go again soon.

Having dealt with these moods before, you eased yourself towards his bed and sank onto the edge of it. In time, he would open up about whatever was bothering him. He just needed time to process it, find the way to word it so he didn't cause anyone any upset. You had no issues with waiting until he was ready. His friends had clearly made themselves at home in the rest of his place, and they could figure out what else was needed for the evening without the two of you.

"They're a lot," he finally mumbled.

You tilted your head. "Your friends?"

He nodded.

Studying his tense posture, you nibbled on your bottom lip.

Bucky had talked about his friends a lot over the months you've been dating. While you could find some basic information about them with a quick internet search, you preferred listening to Bucky's stories about them. Those garnered more than any press junket or puff piece might've about any one of them.

From the way he spoke about them, you knew each Avenger possessed a powerful personality. That even extended to those attached to the Avengers through marriage or whatnot. They probably had to in order to withstand the paparazzi or the regular press that comes with being an Avenger or being attached to one.

You also knew that Bucky cared about all of them in his own way. There wasn't one person among his friends that he wouldn't do everything in his power to help.

When you might've answered him, raised voices seeped under the doorway of his bedroom. If you strained your ears a bit more, you thought you could make out a few new voices joining Sam and Mrs. Rogers. Who they belonged to, you couldn't say, but it seemed like the small party was growing a bit more.

"You can always sneak out through the fire escape if it's too much." He motioned toward the window behind him. "I wouldn't blame you if you did."

You searched his face, which he kept in profile on you. His stubborn gaze still hadn't left that top drawer, making you wonder what he kept in there. Finding him too hard to read, you pushed to your feet and closed the distance between you. Your hands remained gentle as you cupped his cheeks, turning his face until he finally looked at you.

"Tell me what just happened."

He remained silent though you could make out the cogs working furiously in his mind.

"Are you worried about how your friends and I'll get along?" You bit your lip. "Look, I know I didn't say much when I first walked in, but I like your friends. At least, the two I've met so far. I think they may even like me. If they don't yet, I'm sure I can win them over. I mean, I can try. After all, you did the same for me with my friends last week. They all loved you, you know? I swear if they weren't so loyal, they'd be trying to steal you from me."

That earned you a smidgen of a grin, but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

When his gaze dropped to the floor between you, a thought occurred that sent a wave of pain through you.

"Buck, are you having second thoughts about us? Is that why you're giving me an out?" Each word tasted like ash in your mouth, and you had to work to keep the bile threatening to claw and scratch its way up your throat.

Bucky shook his head so violently that your hands had no choice to fall to his shoulders.

You withdrew them to let them dangle between you, but he stopped you, taking your hands in his. His voice grew thick as he finally said, "It's not you. Never you, love. I just…"

"Just what?"

He blew out a breath. "I see you with Steve's girl, and I realize that this is becoming all too real. Being with me comes with so many risks, and I just don't know if I want to put you through those risks. Hell, Steve barely survived when his girl got kidnapped because of who she was married to. I can't…I don't want you to ever regret being with me."

"Isn't that my choice though?" You gently tugged your hands free. When Bucky tried to protest, you shushed him, placing your hands on his cheeks and tugging him closer. You didn't stop until you had his forehead touching yours. "James Barnes, hear me, okay? I'm a grown woman, and I make my own choices. I knew the moment I realized who you were what I was signing up for. If I had any doubts, I wouldn't have had you meet my friends. I certainly wouldn't be making plans to have you meet my family next month."

That last bit got his attention.

You smiled even as you shook your head at him in exasperation.

"You really want me to meet your family?" Bucky asked, his voice so hopeful that your heart squeezed painfully in your chest. His hands, once listless without yours, now settled on your hips, gripping just enough to keep you from trying to get away. Not that you had any intention of doing so.

"I really do, Buck."

Several loud whistles and claps accompanied your statement.

Bucky's grip tightened on your hips, drawing you closer even as you both turned to find all his friends standing in the now open doorway.

At the front stood none other than one Tony Stark who slow-clapped his approval.

"Now, tell the lady you love her, or come out here and play host to your guests, Cyborg."

"Tony, did you know that Pepper has been asking me to upgrade my office for a while now? I think your precious lab would be the perfect space, don't you?" Mrs. Rogers asked, shooting you a wink even as she worked her way out of the room.

Tony trailed after her, begging her not to be so cruel. He even went so far as to list all the reasons why taking his lab away from him would be the worst thing for all of them.

Sam and a woman you recognized as Natasha Romanoff followed after them. It was Black Widow who stopped in the doorway to say, "Don't worry. We'll get you trained up properly. No one messes with one of our own."

When they disappeared, you found none other than Steve Rogers, Bucky's best friend and the Captain America, remaining.

He met your gaze with his warm one. "Nat's right. We protect our own. Buck did such a great job with my wife, and I'll do the same with you."

"Does that mean I get to use a shield like yours or will I be using a trash can lid?"

Steve gaped at you for a moment before straightening and glaring at Bucky who'd let loose a snort behind you. "Really, Buck? You had to tell her, too? Did you tell her I also used to put paper in my shoes?"

Bucky shook against you, doing his best to keep his laughter in check.

"No," you said, a Cheshire cat grin sliding across your lips, "but you just did."

Steve groaned. His hands came up to rub across his face. When he met your gaze, you found his features held only humor as he said, "Well, now that I've embarrassed myself, I'm going to go find my wife. You two join us whenever you're ready, okay? She and I can handle this rowdy bunch."

"Thank you, Steve," you called out. The door had barely shut behind Steve before you turned toward Bucky again. You nibbled on your bottom lip as you studied him. "We don't know the future, but I do know that I want to face each day with you at my side. If that's not what you want, tell me now. I don't want to fall in love with you more. It'll only hurt more later."

A squeak escaped you.

Bucky had lifted you several inches, forcing you to wrap yourself around him. Not that he seemed to mind, and neither did you. It brought you so close that your lips almost touched with little effort because he'd put you at eye level to him.

"I think I started falling the day we met, darling, and I've been falling ever since." A faint blush stole over his cheeks even as he kept his eyes trained on you. "I may have emptied a drawer or two for you in my dresser this morning. There's even some space in my tiny closet if you want it. If you need more, I’m sure we can find it. The only reason this place has much of anything is because of you.”

"Bucky Barnes, are you asking me to move in?"

The blush deepened but so did his focus on you as he nodded. "That's exactly what I'm doing."

"Well then, I accept."

Your lips, which had been brushing one another, met then. Gentle but not quite so chaste as it probably should've been with so many willing eavesdroppers in his apartment. But, you couldn't bring yourself to care. If they wanted to see a show, then let them.

This moment hadn't been what you pictured being the first time you two declared your love, but you wouldn't change it for anything.

It was only when you broke apart for some much needed air that you recalled your own little surprise for Bucky. In a raspy voice, you asked, "How would you feel about adding one more to our new living arrangement? Because there's this really cute kitten…"
