The concept of both Mozenrath and Behan being related to Aladdin in some way is so funny to me because it takes the story from “Lonely orphan with no family finds love” to “Four men are in the family and three are wanted for crimes against the government.”

It also means that Aladdin's line “I never ever had a real family” from “There’s A Party Here in Agrabah (Reprise)” reads as “I never had a real family that didn't suck.”

Well I rewatched Aladdin

I think continuity wise Aladdin has the best pay off for their viewers.

First movie[1992]: the main characters meet, fall in love, and get in engaged.

Second movie [1994]: which is more so, why the main gang trust iago after he was a villain in the first movie.

Tv series[1994]: The main couple is engaged the whole time. Three whole seasons!

Third movie[1996]: They finally get married and we get to meet and learn about Aladdin's father.

We get to see the characters we've grown attached to over the years, finally tie the knot and it answers an important character's fact.

Small edit: I meant this post as in Disney Prince continuity not in general of all media, don't come for me. I can't fight.

ARE YOU IN OR OUT?? Also Robin Williams didn't voice Genie in Return of Jafar, but he did for this one! Aladdin's dad shows up, Jasmine and Aladdin get married - good stuff all around

The Lion King 1 1/2 {original-The Lion King (1994)}

It follows Timon and his New York Jewish meerkat family. The jokes are great

It is a masterpiece that adds to the movie while making it better and not worse. The dig a tunnel song is amazing. It's cute to see snippets of them raising Simba.

Ok, but i love Iago's character arc over the course of the trilogy and tv series. He goes from Jafar's evil lackey to . . . technically no longer evil. He doesn't stop being greedy or lazy or selfish or pessimistic or cynical. He is still prone to seeing the worst in people and manipulating others to his own ends (tho it is more often then not a case of Iago's cynical viewpoint hitting a nerve and him exasperating the situation). The noble choice isn't his first option. It isn't even his second or third. But by the end there, if pushed hard enough, Iago would do the right thing even if it involved sacrifice. Iago did learn to care deeply about others.

I love how he was shown to have positive character growth, to go through a massive change and become a better person, but still be an extremely flawed individual.

I love how in the end he goes off with Cassim who had gone through a very similar character arc (giving up the treasure he'd spent his whole life searching for to save his son). In many ways they are two peas in a pod and they are perfect for each other.

It is a fantastic character arc and i love it so.

Director: Okay okay okay, but hear me out: It's about Aladdin and Jasmine's wedding, and Aladdin is sad that his family won't be able to witness it.

Disney: Hm, it's an okay plot, you gotta do better than that.

Director: We pulled Robin Williams back in to voice the Genie!

Disney: Oh damn, everyone loves him. Anything else?

Director: Aladdin's father is alive, and is the leader of the forty thieves, and wants his son to join him-

Disney: Ooooh, that might be good-

Director: -and he's a dilf. Like, even our animators are wanting him. Here **hands a photo**
