Febroary day 3 - Lion

I really like how this one turned out! I still struggle drawing lions but I think I'm starting to get the hang of it! Especially the manes are, I think an improvement from last year!

Okay, so let's talk about this stunning pair of elephants we have here! 🐘✨ There’s something monumentally majestic about these creatures that’s just unmatched. The adult elephant in the sketch is the epitome of gentle strength. Look at those powerful tusks; they are tools of survival and symbols of matriarchal might. Her ears flap, conveying a multitude of emotions and sending signals to her kin. You can almost feel the texture of her skin, rough yet resilient, etched with the tales of a thousand migrations.

By her side, we have the little one, a beacon of curiosity and burgeoning strength. Those smaller ears, not yet grown into their floppy grandeur, and that adorable trunk, trying so hard to mimic the elder’s grace—pure wonder in every stride. The pairing is poetic. It’s a dance of the old, wise guardians and the spirited, hopeful next generation.
