The hum of the Facetime call connecting was the highlight of Kimi Antonelli's day. No matter how hectic the race week, no matter how many kilometers separated him from his amore mio, this evening ritual grounded him. His phone vibrated slightly before the screen lit up, and there she was—her smile soft, her hair a little disheveled from hours spent studying.

"Hi, tesoro," she greeted him, her voice warm despite the long day.

"Buonasera, bella mia," he replied, his lips curling into a smile that matched hers. Kimi leaned back in his hotel bed, the faint roar of mechanics and engineers still echoing outside the window. His world was loud, fast, and chaotic, but this moment? This was peaceful.

"How was the car today?" she asked, propping her chin in her hand. The soft glow of her desk lamp illuminated her face, making her look like the muse of every classic Italian painting Kimi had ever admired.

"Quick. But the brakes were—" Kimi paused, shaking his head. "Eh… You hear about cars all day from me. I want to show you something."

Her eyes lit up with curiosity. "What is it?"

Kimi opened his camera roll, scrolling to the first picture he had taken that day. It was a close-up of a cappuccino, the foam shaped into a perfect heart.

"I had this during my break," he began, tilting his phone to show her. "It reminded me of you. The heart, you know?"

She chuckled softly. "Because I give you caffeine energy?"

He shook his head, his expression serious but teasing. "No, amore. Because seeing you is the best part of my day. Just like the first sip of coffee."

Her cheeks flushed, and she rolled her eyes, though the smile on her lips betrayed her. "You're insufferable, Kimi."

"Wait, there's more!" he said, eager as ever. He swiped to the next photo, one of a tiny pink flower blooming in a crack of concrete outside the paddock.

"This?" He pointed to the image. "It’s small, maybe no one else noticed it, but it stood out. Like you do, wherever you go."

"Stop," she said, laughing, though her heart swelled at his words.

Another swipe. A snapshot of the sky—brilliant orange and purple streaks as the sun set over the circuit. "This reminded me of your favorite colors," Kimi explained. "And... how you look when you're trying to solve something hard. Intense and beautiful."

She sighed, leaning closer to her screen as if it would close the distance between them. "You’re too good to me, Kimi."

"Only because you deserve it, mia anima gemella," he replied softly.

They spent the next twenty minutes going through the rest of Kimi’s photos—a picture of a book he saw in a shop window that he thought she might like, a black cat lounging near the track because it had the same sharp, inquisitive gaze she sometimes wore, and even a picture of a messy plate of pasta al pomodoro that the team chef had served for lunch.

"It wasn’t as good as the one you make," he admitted, scratching the back of his head.

She laughed again, the sound ringing through the call and making his chest ache with the distance. "Of course it wasn’t. I’d have to fly there to teach them properly."

"Maybe you should," he said, his tone lighter now but with an edge of sincerity. "It’s been too long, amore. I miss you."

Her smile softened, and she leaned her cheek on her palm. "I miss you too, Kimi. But this helps. Knowing you think of me even when we’re apart."

Kimi’s hand hovered near the screen, wishing he could reach out and trace her features, feel her warmth. Instead, he looked at her with all the affection in his heart. "Always, amore mio. Every day, every moment. You make everything better."

And as they continued talking about the little things that reminded them of each other, the world felt a little less vast, and the miles between them didn’t seem so impossible.

White knight week: day 5 atlas ambling

*Ruby walks into the bathroom to see Weiss bathing and reading from her scroll. Weiss is running a warm cloth along her legs*

Weiss: Jaune and I went to the movies without Oscar.

Ruby: Oh? Just-just the two of you?

Weiss: Yes. The movie was a forgettable rom com which was so cheesy I had to hide my face in my hands out of embarrassment for the actors. Then we went to some little shop with noodles and sauce in custom bowls. It was nice.

Ruby: D-did anything happen? *Forced smile*

Weiss: We went to a park in the night with glass and crystal trees put up as decoration. The view of the shattered moon was beautiful through the fake leaves. Then we got close and he turned to look at me. He really is quite handsome.

Ruby: Y-yeah. He is.

Weiss: He didn't make a move and considering the evening...

Ruby: Would you have let him?

Weiss: I suppose I would have gone quite far if he pushed.

Ruby: *flatly* Wonderful.

Weiss: Isn't it?

Ruby: No. No! I broke my heart waiting for him in anima but he was still healing! I wanted him since Beacon!

Weiss: Pardon?

Ruby: It isn't fair. Why doesn't he look at me that way? I'm tired of feeling like a dumb kid.

Weiss: You were alone for months. I thought if you wanted him you would have made a move!

Ruby: I was trying! But it was just after Pyrrha. I kept wearing too small pj's but nothing got through!

Weiss: Ruby you are drop dead gorgeous. If you want me to back off I will. I respect you too much. I kinda had a shot with him and blew it. He offered to let me shape him into what I wanted and I declined. You're the real heroine here.

Worldbuilding: my fictional Universes

Hello, everyone! Recently I reached 4k followers on my Bluesky and I promised there to make a thread about my fictional universes and OCs to celebrate

Since it got a bit long, I made it about my fictional Universes first. I'll later make one about my OCs~

The universes where my stories take place are these:

Cedaria (a fictional medium-sized country located between the North & South Pacific Ocean)

Essentia (a fictional dark fantasy world divided into 6 regions)

Catanya (a cat universe! - Not to be confused with Catania, from Italy)

~ ~ ~

CEDARIA

Cedaria is BOTH in the northern and southern hemispheres of the world. It's divided into 5 regions:

◆ Satione: both a region & a prefecture ◆ Marmore: has 2 prefectures ◆ Anima: has 3 prefectures ◆ Littus: has 2 prefectures ◆ Pluvia: has 4 prefectures

Where Winter Crows Go takes places in the region of Satione—derived from the latin word "sation", meaning "to sow". It is both a region and a prefecture itself (much like Hokkaido in Japan).

Satione is a BIG forest area with a few mountains in certain parts. Famous for its nature, foraging & hunting.

There is a bit more info about Satione on my Where Winter Crows Go's Artbook. You can get it on itch or my Ko-Fi shop! It also contains a map of a portion of Satione, the part where WWCG takes place.

If you get it, be sure to read it AFTER playing the game since it has lots of spoilers!

Marmore—from the latin word "marmor", meaning "marble"—is a region divided in 2 prefectures:

◆ Silvering (where Killer Trait and Petrichor take place) ◆ Goldenburgh (where Hummingbird's Crown and The Dream Drinker take place) Silvering has 12 districts while Goldenburgh has 7.

The other regions haven't been developed much yet, but here's what their names mean: ◆ Anima—derived from the latin word; it means "soul" or "spirit" ◆ Littus—derived from the latin word;; it means "seashore" or "coast" ◆ Pluvia—derived from the latin word; it means "rain" ~ ~ ~

ESSENTIA

Essentia is a massive world with 6 continents. It's a natural environment for different types of species, so not everyone is human here (in fact, the great majority isn't)

The 6 continents are: ◆ Nymphaea ◆ Asphodelus ◆ Chrysanthemia ◆ Dracaena ◆ Quercus ◆ Daffodilia

Here's a map of the world:

⟢ Nymphaea is an aquatic area with a little coast. Mermaids, nymphs and other marine creatures tend to live here!

I'm thinking of making a story for a certain marine OC of mine here at some point~

⟢ Asphodelus is a region for undead creatures. For those who are born undead and for humans who die with a strong urge to live... and thus are reborn.

There are a couple of OCs I plan to make a story for here too. Especially my zombie girl 🧟‍♀️ and my Jack-o'-Lantern boy 🎃

⟢ Chrysanthemia is where the yokais live. Most of them are firm believers of tradition and respect.

This is kind of the "Japan" of my universe 😂 I love yokais, so I wanted to have an excuse for them to exist in my universe.

⟢ Dracaena is the territory of the dragons. They are very proud of their race and heritage. Also believers of tradition and how important it is for them to conserve the "pure blood" of their species.

Most of Azure Flame takes place here!

⟢ Quercus is a vast forest zone where spirits, elves and other creatures live. It's said that even deities and demons ramble around.

Quercus is divided into 5 different ares:

Fiorosia, the Spring Area (where Potion Pleasing takes place)

Erbaviren, the Summer Area

Rubeglia, the Autumn Area

Albanivis, the Winter Area

Umbra, the Dark Area (aka "The Dark Forest"; part of Panacea: Rebirth takes place here)

⟢ Daffodilia, a region with multiple villages, hills and towns. The biggest region of all and where humans live.

Between Quercus and Daffodilia there's also a crossing, a point where the 2 meet. It's where the entrance to Amber Stone Village lies.

A part of Panacea: Rebirth also takes place here.

CATANYA

And, finally, Catanya! This is the newest universe I've created. It's not very developed yet, so there isn't much I can say other than this being a fictional country where anthropomorphic cats live.

Hopefully, this 2025 you'll meet one of my OCs from this universe too~

AmongUs Park

So I’ve been trying to brainstorm on what to make more of my FNAF AU which is Android Anima while watching Corpse Livestream past video playing with people known as Dream Georgenotfound. Kinda attaches to George. Anyway While watching their mayhem, I started mixing my FNAF AU and the YouTube together which is why it end up like this! 🤣

Corpse is a Security Animatronic. His face and voice can terrify anyone that were messing in the Theme park and always quick to be around the park even if they’re are crowded. Although his functions are slowly decreasing.

Sykkuno is the Plant animatronic. He is in charge of healing with herbs and plant life, he is also the owner of the gift shops in the amusement park so he will immediately be informed of theft happened in one of the shops.

Valkyrae is the Rockstar Animatronic, she’s in charge of the stages, music and entertainment. Can levitate around the area like an astronaut and have sharp senses. She is hyper and cannot stay in one place.

Toast is an Original animatronic like Freddy Fazbear. He is in charge of the maintaince of the rides, stage and all sorts of machines. His intelligence are the main reason why the park is popularise as to be the impossible place for crimes.

Random Doctor Who Facts You Might Not Know, Part 25

Josie Day was a companion of the Eighth Doctor. She was a living painting, commissioned to capture the likeness of Lady Josephine, but she was so rich in animae particles that she became alive.

The Valeyard took on the identity of Jack the Ripper. While committing the famous murders, the Valeyard used the Dark Matrix to corrupt the other Doctors.

Ace was almost the sixth Ripper victim.

The Man with the Rosette (or, the Master) gave Scarlette rings to use for her and the Doctor’s wedding. He also sat in on the wedding on the side reserved for the Doctor’s family.

The Fifth Doctor is so scared of spiders that he will freeze in place and make Peri get rid of it.

The Saxon Master thought that the sun on the Mondasian Colony Ship would look the same as the sun in the Teletubbies.

The First and Second Doctors were both colorblind, but the Doctor did not realize this until they became the Third Doctor.

The Eighth Doctor spent a lot of time during the Coronavirus lockdown baking. He eventually managed to make a banana bread that wasn't disgusting. It was quite good actually.

After getting bored of baking, he started making a lot of face masks. He superimposed people's faces on them, so they could tell who each mask belonged to. Very few people accepted them when he offered them.

Once he got bored of that and ran out of other hobbies, he ran away to go live alone in his grounded TARDIS for many months.

When Ariane's family had fled their home, it had been with the hope that they would one day return.

Those few that could had gone early by aetheryte, but they had been the privileged few. Most families, Ariane's included, had thronged to carriages and airships, because they or their children were attuned to no aetherytes where they might away quickly, or they simply lacked the requisite anima to teleport at all. Ariane had been twelve, her sister Gratienne eleven, and though Mother had long said that one day they would go to see Gridania, they had never yet been outside Mor Dhona. They had been attuned to a single aetheryte, that which stood in the village of Silvertear Falls, bright blue and ever-turning.

What Ariane remembered was red skies, and the shape of a dragon in flight—the first she had ever seen. Midgardsormr. Ariane had known the name; everyone in Silvertear Falls knew of the Father of Dragons, the Keeper of the Lake, whose name was invoked for protection in matters great and small.

But to see him—to see the great wyrm, the span of his wings broad enough to black out the sun when he swooped low—

No one is ever prepared to meet their god.

Ariane would only later understand that Midgardsormr had arisen, calling forth from Dravania a legion of his children, to drive back the Imperial forces that had invaded their home. At the time, only twelve years old, it had been a blur of horrors. Garleans, dragons, the sky burned red. The crowded carriage in which she and Grati had huddled with Mother and Father. The anxious kweh, kweh! of the draft chocobos, skittish with the noise and the smoke. The shouting of people demanding or begging to be let onto the airships that had closed their gates, unable to bear any more weight and still fly safely.

By the time their carriage had pulled away, the village aetheryte had lain in pieces, shattered by Garlean fire.

They had meant to return—hoped that whatever ruin they might find of their homes and livelihoods could be rebuilt, that their village of Silvertear Falls, with its cozy little strip of inns and shops, would survive.

It had taken mere days for the news to reach them, in the refugee camps on the outskirts of the Black Shroud, that there was no going back.

She thought of this now, and of a lone dragon traversing the great expanse, carrying with him but seven eggs, and the hope of his people. Seven children to make Hydaelyn their new home.
