I know I've said this a hundred times but if you're worried about palestinian fundraisers being scams at least consider donating to MSF. It's a highly reputable organization which has broken its long-standing neutrality to denounce Israel in front of the UN. ok last thing. but what people fundamentally need to get through their heads is the significance of gaza fundraisers not being the same as like mutual aid when you're helping someone get groceries, because it is a genocide. there is insane deliberate scarcity and prices are unmanageable, because there is nowhere nearly enough for everyone, so only people who can pay can eat. and what positioning individual fundraisers as the only course of action does is quite simply give a tiny percentage of random people whose fundraisers take off the ability to pay those prices while thousands of others can't. and every one of those thousands of people without a fundraiser is suffering through the same inconceivably horrific reality. it is giving a few completely desperate people out of hundreds of thousands a slightly more favorable position in a horrific war economy of imposed scarcity. and what grassroots community kitchens do is try to mitigate in some small way that inconceivable hierarchy of who can pay and who can't, by stretching ingredients as far as they can last to cook meals at large scale and give them out at no cost. and obviously people are still going to send money to their friends and families because this is hell what else are we supposed to do but please just think about that before promoting endless individual fundraisers as somehow the most ethical way to help

Forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs, today, we find ourselves sheltering in a displacement camp lacking access to sanitation, medical supplies, food and drinkable water. I will not talk a lot about the dire and unbearable life we have to go through, as no word can express it fairly 🥺😣

The good news in the midst of this tragedy, that I am one of the 22 women from the developing world who have been awarded OWSD- PhD fellowship to pursue my PhD study in Malaysia🍉💪. But now I am stuck in Gaza unable to achieve my dream because Israeli army has occupied and closed all the border crossings 😭💔

Baby Ayla and her family were in their tent today when the IOF suddenly appeared and began firing on the tents. The family barely escaped with their lives, a bullet having narrowly missed baby Ayla’s head!

They had to leave their tent and most of their possessions, which are now under IOF control and are irrecoverable.

They are currently on the street, with no tent, no blankets, no food, and no clothes other than what they were wearing when they had to flee for their lives. They are literally just sitting in the dirt under the night sky.

Ayla’s mother Bashaer @bshaeromars-blog is trying to get Ayla to sleep, but Ayla is too cold and uncomfortable. The low temperature in Gaza tonight is just 47 F or 8 C. They are starving, freezing, and totally without resources. They DESPERATELY need funds for a tent, food, and other basic necessities!! The tent alone is $3000

Help two students in Egypt and their family in Gaza

Hashem (@helphashemfamily) has been raising money since April, his and his father's livelihood was destroyed early on and there is no way to secure a source of income.

This adds to the responsibility Hashem has towards his two siblings currently studying medecine in Egypt at Zagazig University. Their university fees need to be paid and Hashem feels terribly guilty that they might never achieve their dreams due to the situation.

All of this to say, your donation will go towards helping two first years students become sorely needed medical professionals AND a family still struggling in Gaza.
