It’s so funny going from Neil’s asexual pov to jeans definitely NOT asexual pov

rereading aftg is so funny like I have a crystal clear image of Andrew in my mind and he's the most handsome guy in the whole series while Aaron looks like a vague shape even though they're identical twins

andrew's first pro game in the city aaron lives. he doesn't send tickets or ask aaron to come and he doesn't even tell aaron his team is coming to town. if aaron wants to come he will. andrew can't make him do anything.

between quarters, the jumbo tron is showing a "look-a-like" game on the screen where the camera operators find people in the crowd who look like different celebrities or animated characters. andrew's not paying any attention to it when the crowd goes wild. a teammate nudges him to look up and lo and behold, wearing a Minyard jersey is andrew minyard's look-a-like, aaron minyard himself.

he rolls his eyes when the camera focuses back on him for the side-by-side shot and but aaron can see that andrew is actually very pleased.

i do believe in neil's ability to cry on command, and this is not like an ugly cry it's like the most beautiful cinematic movie perfect crying ever seen. it was like the second thing mary taught him while on the run because crying children are extremely sympathetic + u gotta start the manipulating gene young. anyway i think he starts using it to run cons on the foxes during his second year. Most affected are matt and nicky (andrew is adamant that he's not affected but he almost always indulges him), least affected are dan and aaron. renee thinks its funny + allison is just extremely jealous and annoyed because he does it better than her (neil loves dunking on her w this). in my vision the first time this happens it's because the foxes bet that neil can't get the press to shut up without tearing them to shreds, and neils like ugh whatever bets are stupid but this is his Pride on the line. so he waits for someone to ask something suitably insensitive and then just bursts into gorgeous photogenic tears and the foxes are freaking out and the reporter is like oh my god im a horrible person and quits his job and then they get into the locker room and neil just. flips the switch. and everyones like ohhhhhh you bastard. you're evil. also kevin and renee are the only ones to win the bet

i (20M) got back from the night shift at my third job this morning to find that my son (16M) had locked my other son (16M) in the bathroom to get him sober. i tried to open the bathroom door and let him out but the other one held me at knifepoint and made me swear not to open the door, so now i’m just waiting for him to get clean and occasionally slipping him food and water from under the door. AITA?

ps. if any single parents have dealt with a similar situation before, please dm me! i could do with all the advice i can get

the biggest thing i took away from the short stories is how much andrew minyard cares about people. he signed onto the foxes to give aaron a chance at college. he went through with the kit to give aaron a legitimate chance at trial. he gave neil the armbands so that he wouldn’t have to look at his scars all the time. he constantly sacrifices himself for others so much so that he ends up harming himself sometimes. andrew minyard, who still gets called heartless when he has one of, if not the biggest, hearts in the series.

i wish i had the words to put this properly because it's incredibly emotional for me but I really wish i could show up to every repressed trans woman who's freaking out because she's scared wanting to be a woman makes her gay and explain to her what's going on. it's so beaten into people that a "guy" wanting to be a woman = gay/drag queen/both and i wish so so much that i could do something to tell them it's ok.
