Day 26: Painting

Ghost Bride themed request: Instead of Idia being at risk of being whisked away to Unholy matrimony, it is instead the reader, A.KA the boys of your choices crush, being whisked away to a ghostly honeymoon. Would at least like to see Kalim for this but any boy that you think would mount a daring and romantic rescue. Please and thank you

COMMENTS: Well, I decided to write for 4 characters. One of them being Kalim. For the others I didn't want to choose one from the Overblot Boys because I'm thinking of doing a similar post with them in the future. And when I saw the list of students I thought that the most fun to write would be some of the most impulsive and those most likely to be unable/unwilling to lie. So I chose Deuce, Jack and Floyd.

I will admit it was fun to write. 🙂

WORD COUNT: An average of 450 words per character.

CONTEXT: Someone was kidnapped to marry some ghost princess and might end up turning into a ghost too. And they just found out that someone was you.

A mix of panic and fury is what Deuce felt when he found out what had happened or could happen to you.

There was a Housewardens meeting about what happened, so Deuce wasn't present. And so he went to his Housewarden to ask Riddle that whatever the plan was, please get him involved.

They end up forming a small group to rescue you. Deuce being part of it. On the way to you the others end up staying behind to stop the ghost guards from getting in the way of Deuce. And he ends up being the only one to appear in the ceremony room.

Deuce screams at everyone to stop the wedding. But with his feelings on the surface, instead of trying to reason and persuade the ghosts, he threatens them. It was as if he was willing to fight the world and beyond for you.

Unfortunately, the guards are in the majority and manage to trap him and cause him to drop his magic pen.

He's furious, but he can't break free. The wedding goes on and the only thing that occurs to him, in the midst of despair, is to tell the truth.

“(Y/N)! You don't want to marry her do you?” You answer him that of course not, but the princess says anything about you don't know what you're saying. “You're the one who doesn't know what you're saying! What if they already love someone else? What if someone else already loves them?” The princess asks what he's talking about and his answer is for you and not for the princess. “I LOVE YOU, (Y/N)!” and then he talks to the princess again, with tears in his eyes “Please, don't take them away...”

The princess petrifies. She might be delusional, but even she can't ignore a declaration like that. She even mentions that she feels a little jealous of you. That one of the things she dreams about the most is that someone loves her so much that they make a declaration like that to her too.

And that's what drives the ghost guard who loves her to declare himself to her. And all that ending with her finding out she loved him happens.

After everything and they freed you, Deuce couldn't care less about the princess and the ghosts. He hugs you desperately, as if he's afraid they'll take you again.

He is embarrassed by the loving declaration he made to you. But he can't go back now.

Jack is more worried and scared than angry. He's more concerned with you being hurt and your well-being than with getting revenge on the ghosts. But he won't back down from a fight.

There was a Housewardens meeting about what happened, so Jack wasn't present. And so he went to his Housewarden to ask Leona that whatever the plan was, please get him involved.

Leona'd probably tell Jack that he could even do all the work if he wanted to. And he decides to do just that. He is a man... young man of action.

He will turn into a wolf and burst into the building. He won't stop until he gets to you and he'll get rid of anyone who gets in his way. And he will break down the doors still in his wolf form.

Everyone's like "A WOLF?!" And you're like "Jack?"

In his wolf form and with magic he can defeat any ghost that tries to stop him. And that's why that ghost guard turns into a giant to finally stop Jack.

Without being able to move anymore, the only thing left for him to do is try to talk to the princess and the guards. And for that he transforms himself back into a beastman. Surprising all ghosts. And piquing the curiosity of Princess Eliza. She asks him why he was there.

“To stop this wedding!” She asks, overjoyed and flattered if he's there for her. But he can't take that opportunity to lie, because he doesn't like to lie. “No! It's not for you that I'm here. It's for the person you kidnapped.” she starts to say that she didn't kidnap anyone. “Of course you did! Do you think (Y/N) wants to be here?!” An argument between the two of you and the ghosts starts, but that doesn't matter at the end. “JUST LET THEM GO!” he barks completely out of patience “They deserve better than you!” Everybody gasps at his boldness.

The ghost that held him starts defending the princess. Ending up revealing his feelings for her. And all that ending with her finding out she loved him happens.

The ghosts set you and Jack free. He runs to you to hug you, relieved that you're okay and that it's all over. You ask him about what he said. About you deserving better. And he decides to just tell you the truth.

He reveals that the whole thing about stopping the marriage was because he liked you. That a person like you deserves the best that anyone can offer. And he promises you that he will do his best to be the person you deserve.

Floyd hears that someone was kidnapped by that princess to marry her and such, but he couldn't care less. At least not until he hears your name.

At that moment he stops. Approach the students who were talking about that and ask what you have to do with that story.

The students, frightened, tell him what happened. But they quickly regret being the bearers of bad news because Floyd's expression quickly goes from just a curious face to that serious and terrifying expression of his. And he ends the conversation by calmly asking where you were.

And the ghosts worst nightmare enters the building. He was just annoyed at first that you'd been kidnapped. But then he starts having fun fighting the ghosts. To the point of becoming practically sadistic. Which terrified the ghosts even more.

The last time Princess Elisa was in such danger was when she was killed. So all the ghosts prepare in the ceremonial hall to protect her. You see them all panicking without knowing why. Not even the princess knows why.

He enters the room breaking down the door with a kick and a creepy smile on his face. “Peekaboo~” And the guards attack him. Now you see why they were so scared. Floyd was having fun at first, but then complained that facing the same kind of ghost was getting boring.

Then one of the ghost guards became a giant to face him. And Floyd smiled again. Unfortunately for him, the ghost managed to get him to drop the magic pen and trap him. The Princess asks what a monster like him was doing there.

“I study here, smartass.” everyone gasped offended. She says he can go back to study there after the wedding. “Yeah, but nah. That won't do.” she asks why not “Because I won't let you marry my Koebi-chan.” She gets confused by that nickname, but when she realizes he was talking about you, she starts defending herself. “Whatevs. HEY KOEBI-CHAN! Do you want to marry this spoiled brat?” You try to contain your laughter and answer no. “See? Now stop this crap before my patience runs out for good.” The giant ghost who is grabbing him orders him to stop talking to the princess like that. “Why? She's gettin' on my nerves. Don't tell me you have a crush on her, HA HA HA”

The ghost starts by trying to deny it, until he finally decides to confess to her once and for all. And all that ending with her finding out she loved him happens.

After the ghosts free the two of you, they beg you to take Floyd with you. You ask him why he did that. “You didn't hear me? I said I wasn't going to let her marry you.” you ask him why “Because I don't want you to marry someone you don't want to. Well, the truth is, I don't want you to marry anyone but me, but I let you choose.”

PANIC!!! OH GREAT SEVEN WHAT DOES HE DO?!

If Jamil is in the room, he himself is trying not to panic while trying to calm Kalim's panic. If only the Housewardens were in the room, one of the others will have to calm him down.

Kalim will do anything to save you, pay whatever it takes! Just someone tell him what to do.

Unfortunately, without an answer on what to do, he returns to Scarabia in a very worried state. Unknown to Jamil, Kalim has gone to the treasure room to be alone. But carpet went to keep him company.

He begins by thanking carpet for the company, while it tries to tell him that it can help save you. But as slow as Kalim can be, he only realizes later and even thinks the idea was his own.

He dashes out of Scarabia with carpet towards the hall where the wedding is taking place. And to get there, he ends up breaking a window since it's faster than going through the door.

He grabs you still on top of the flying carpet, to try to simply get you out of there, but the ghost guards manage to hit the carpet and make you fall. You fell with Kalim embracing you so you wouldn't be hurt.

And it's when the guards force the two of you apart that he starts to speak. He screams at them to stop the marriage because it's wrong. That one person cannot be forced to marry another.

But Princess Eliza says she needs to marry someone “princely”. Somehow, for some reason, she seas that in you.

“But why? Is that a rule? Because it shouldn't be! You should marry the one you love and not someone others think you should marry. Whether that person is a princess or a thief. Be someone you've known for years...” he points to the ghost guards “...or...” he looks at you “someone who just showed up in your life out of the blue and without warning. And who in just a few weeks became the most important person in your life.” he smiles at you, as if he forgets everything else around.

Princess Eliza stopped listening after that about the guards. And all that ending with her finding out she loved one of her guards happens.

In the end, Kalim gets emotional with the princess's marriage to the guard. Forgiving and forgetting the whole thing about your kidnapping. Chances are he's the type of person to cry at a wedding.

And he takes that opportunity to declare himself to you. Because that opened his eyes and he can't keep hiding his feelings anymore.

He couldn't stand the idea of you marrying someone else, because he started dreaming of marrying you.

I've been seeing this reels or tiktok videos about people who are so disarming face-wise or vibe-wise which causes random strangers to tell them all their secrets or trauma dump to them, so imagine a reader like that who's an executive of one of the toxic gangs in Tokrev like Kanto Manji/Tenjiku/Bonten. You're so disarming that your allies or even enemies end up telling you about your recent breakup or trauma when you didn't even do anything. You're just there like: 😀😀😀???

However, I can see your fellow executives encouraging it because of the useful information. Koko likes the idea of spending less money on informants, the Haitanis love the tea, and if you're in a gang with more ambitious people like Izana and Kisaki they'll weaponize you 💀.

Lmao oh the poor reader who ends up in that situation. They just want to hang out and have a good time but instead they keep learning everyone's darkest secrets...

The first time you meet Izana is in the orphanage, he's new but is immediately drawn to you. You feel safe to him, different then how the others feel so of course he declares you as his servant right away. You felt a bit offended by that at first but went along with him anyway.

During the day time when the other kids are around, he's strong, a king. But when it's just the two of you he tells you everything. How alone he is, how much he misses his mum and Emma, how scared he is here. You just listen and hug him through it all, telling him it'll be ok.

He introduces Kakucho to you when he arrives, Kakucho who's just been told to forget his parents. That night, after Izana falls asleep, Kakucho breaks his word to Izana. Telling you all about his parents and what happened, about how he agreed to be Izanas servant too and about how he doesn't know what to do anymore. You soothe his fears and tell him that you'll be here for him too, the three of you together.

Over the next few years the three of you grow up together, following Izana. He founds the 8th gen black dragons but keeps the two of you away from it.

You're there for him when he finds out the truth about Shinichiro, you watch as he throws things around, smashing them and yells. Watch as he runs out of energy and ends up crying into your lap and chest. You're not entirely sure what to say in this situation but comfort him the best you can. He ends up falling asleep on you and you sit there, wondering what will happen next.

He threatens you when he wakes up, he does it often. He'll let you see his emotions then threaten you to never tell anyone about it. Though you both know he's bluffing, he couldn't hurt you.

Shinichiro dies and that terrifies you because Izana shuts down. It's the first time he won't talk or let his feelings out. You and Kakucho do your best to care for him but you can see it's not helping, nothing is changing, not until he arrives...

Kisaki is a strange boy. One minute he looks at you with warmth, like you remind him of someone or something else then the next he's glaring at you like he hates you. He refuses to be left alone with you, it's almost like he's afraid of something.

Izana invites you to join tenjiku, he wants you there and says you can be very helpful for him. Of course yoy say yes, you're just happy to see him like his old self again. But...things are different this time. He's back to opening up to you, emotions spilling out before he can stop them but you can tell he's holding something back.

You get to finally meet the others, the S62 members you've heard so much about. Shion immediately takes a shine to you, introducing himself and bragging about his past achievements, asking you if you want to see him fight. Mochi soon shoves him out of the way to introduce himself, he shakes your hand and says he looks forward to working with you. He seems so genuine in his words that you can't help but smile back. The Haitani brother's approach you from either side, slinging their arms around you and "welcoming you".

You think you've got them all figured out until that night and the next day. All four of them end up seeking you out alone and spending some quiet time with you. Telling out their insecurities and ambitions, letting you see more of them. All of them laugh it off after, saying they were just kidding around but you could tell they meant it.

After that you all fall into a comfortable routine of preparing to attack toman. The Haitani brother's want to know the latest gossip, Kakucho tells you about his worries for Izana, Mochi and Shion work with you, helping you get to people who's secrets tenjiku wants and Izana still confides you but without giving you details.

The day you attack toman, you're paired up with Shion. You have a good and bad cop kinda routine, where Shion beats them then you kindly help them back up and take care of their wounds. They spill all kinds of secrets to you while you help them. Everything from the structure of toman, to it's meeting spot, to it's members.

You meet Mucho and Sanzu later, the meeting itself is very formal but once again they seek you out later. Mucho get's onto the subject of Mikey and let's it slip about his guilt of choosing Izana. You're about to try comforting him when he realises what he just says and quickly leaves. Leaving you alone with Sanzu...

"What are you?" You flinch slightly when he speaks, forgetting he was even there. He tilts his head at you, curious as to why Mucho just told you that, why he let his guard down around you. More importantly he wonders if you could be helpful for other people, a way of being able to read what Mikey's thinking and what he wants. He walks away without another word, instead planning.

You meet Koko the next day, he's still hurt from Mucho and no ones even offered him any first aid. You sigh and fix him up yourself, he watches you intensely the whole time before muttering that someone called Inupi normally does this for him. He practically gives you his life story after you ask who that is, even Akane's name slipping out. You're both horrified after, Koko realising what he just said and you after hearing such a sad story. You're not sure what to say next so you tell him about your own childhood. The two of you end up as friends by the end of the day.

You're in your room one day when Kakucho suddenly barges in, frantically talking about a murder and how sorry he is for not telling you sooner. Your blood runs cold as you ask him to explain. "Kisaki and Izana planned what????"

You run to Izana after that, need to talk him, need him to explain. He must be so lost after that so he needs someone to talk to right?

Someone grabs you before you can climb up the stairs to him. Hanma. He has you by the waist, stopping you from interrupting Kisaki and Izana's conversation. Refusing to let you stop Izana from falling further into darkness and ruining Kisaki's plans.

You next see Izana at the docks, getting ready for the fight. He refuses to even look at you, too focused on the fight and Mikey then his own emotions. Instead you stand next to Kakucho, waiting for all this to be over so you can be alone with Izana.

Kakucho tells you to stay on the shipping containers while the fight goes on, you promise to stay and not move.

You nearly break your promise a few times, when you see each of the S62 fall or when Koko starts getting upset but you listen to Kakucho.

It's not until Izana starts losing it and arguing with Kakucho that you hastily climb down, running to him. But you never reach him.

Instead you see Kakucho get shot, you try to run to him, to get in front of him but someone catches your arm. Turning around, you see Sanzu stopping you from getting closer. Time slows down after that, Izana gets shot, the gun falls to the floor, Sanzu let's you go and you fall to your knees beside Izana and Kakucho.

You frantically try to stop the bleeding but Izana grabs your hands instead, holding them. Telling you his emotions for the last time and letting the rest of his secrets slip out. Kakucho reaching out to do the same.

You're not sure how long you kneel there, they both stopped talking already and you know they're both gone, telling yourself that you're imagining the warmth in Kakucho's fingers.

The Haitani brother's help you up but they don't keep you with them, instead guiding you over to Koko and telling the two of you to run.

The next day you wake up at Koko's apartment, where you hear the news. Running to the hospital you practically launch yourself into Kakucho's arms. This time you both tell your secrets, helping each other to cope with the loss of Izana and talking through it together.

When he's released from the hospital, you go to meet him so you can both pay your last respects to Izana. Then you both head to your apartment, looking after each other....at least until a tall man arrives months later looking for both of you.

You were sitting in Empty SEKAI, it seemed that no one was close so you just layed there tiredly. What you didn't knew tho was that Luka made her way up to you.

"Taking a nap~?"

She spoke as if nothing specific was on her mind, with small smile as she sat next to you.

"If you don't mind, I wanted to talk about one specific topic."

"Sure! What's on your mind?"

"Tell me, why are you so afraid to reach out for help? From what I know, everyone from group wanted to help you. Especially Kanade"

She was rather straightforward but that's because she wanted to know the truth and maybe even help you realize that you're not alone.

When you stayed quiet, she took your hand in hers and gently rubbed the back of it to give you a bit of comfort.

"You can tell me. I can promise you that I'll keep this secret to myself~"

(She does indeed keep it a secret but she does say few clues in front of other members... but not enough clues to easily realize the truth)

MEIKO is known to keep her distance in SEKAI but right now you were laying in bed, thinking or talking to yourself to vent a bit and brown haired girl appeared on your phone. She immidietly made her presence known so even if you talked to yourself, she didn't heard anything.

"Y/N..."

"O-Oh, MEIKO! Hi, what are you doing here...?"

"I wanted to talk. I'll get straight to the point. I think you need to allow Kanade and others to help you."

When you stayed quiet, she did the same. She just stared at you waiting for your answer, so you don't have a choice but say something or you'll be left with her staring at you, waiting for your answer.

"I just... I don't want to..."

"Everyone are worried about you. Do you want me to tell them what you're struggling with? Or do you prefer to do it yourself?"

And in that moment, she gives you a choice. If you prefer her to tell them about if, she will say it as gently as she can. But if you decide that you'll tell them yourself, she'll do her best to support you through this time and help you get your courage to face them.

Of course KAITO noticed how you're avoiding confrontation with your group. He tried ignoring it for some time but of course he can't stay quiet forever so he finally confronts you the moment you're alone in Empty SEKAI and he's rather straightforward about it.

"Y/N. You need to tell your group about your feelings."

"What? But I don't really want-"

"You can't hide it anymore. You need to start thinking of yourself as well. After all, they only want to help you!"

That was the moment when you knew he's not going to let go so easily, but he also doesn't do it just to make your life worse, quite the opposite...

"Listen, I'm willing to help you but you also need to want this. They'll discover the truth eventually so I think it'd be better if you tell them yourself."

He's really determinated to help you through it and get your courage up to tell your group about your real feelings. He might've been pretty presistant right now but you can be sure that later on, he'll be more supportive but he'll also push you forward a bit whenever you stop in your tracks.

It's nine am. You are sitting on the bed, your back against the headboard and your knees drawn to your chest. You are looking at me with sharp eyes, showing no particular emotion.

“Did you hear me?” I say. “I asked if you wanted breakfast.” A pause. “You have to catch your plane tonight, so. Best to start the day, now. We still have a lot to do.”

“What about you?”

I shrug.

“My plane's tomorrow.”

“We have to be out of this place today.”

“I'll figure something out.”

“Joe.”

I look at you, really look, but I can't tell what I'm seeing. I don't know what you want from me. I don't think you know, either.

I step into the room, slowly, and sit down at the end of the bed. I'm giving you your space. Last night, I even slept on the couch.

“I've been thinking,” I say.

“You've been thinking?”

“Yes.” I clear my throat. “Are you really afraid I'll kill you, if you break up with me?”

You shrug.

“And if you knew for certain I wouldn't, what would you do?”

You shrug again, then shake your head.

“I wouldn't break up with you.”

“Why not?” I ask. “I killed your mother. I followed you around and broke into your place. You said it yourself. You compared me to Mitch.”

“You're not Mitch.”

“I'm not going to change, (Y/n).”

You fall silent.

“Here's the thing. Last night, Nadia told me some things about your grandparents. You know what my first thought was?”

“To kill them.”

At least you know me. Maybe I kind of hate that you do.

But you need to. I need to show the worst parts of me right now, because I need you to see them.

“Yes,” I agree. “And I would have. I'd have gone over there right away, only I didn't want to leave you alone.”

I look at you, waiting for you to say something. To scream at me.

You don't. You say nothing.

I understand now, (Y/n).

Our relationship will never work if I only show you the best parts of me. I want to be perfect for you, but you are too smart to fall for it. You know there's a dark side. And so long as I keep it hidden from you, you will never know exactly what you want.

If I make you think I will ever stop protecting you, you might stay with me. You might stay with me for the person you fell for - the one you thought would never - but we'll just end up in this situation again down the line. You are too smart.

This is what I thought about last night. And also:

“I'm not going to stop protecting you. Not as long as I'm in your life. But I want you to have a life. So if you tell me to stop, to go away, I will.”

“I don't want that.”

“Then what do you want?”

“I don't know!” you shout, putting your hands on your head.

I won't take it personally. You are allowed to have feelings.

“Last night, you told me you hate me,” I say. “But that's not fair. I'm telling you who I am. The way I see it, your options are to hate me and break up with me, or to love me and stay with me.”

“Joe–”

“You can't have it both ways. You can't hate me and stay with me. It's not fair on either of us.”

“And what if I call the police?” you ask. “What about that option?”

“You tried to kill yourself last night,” I say, worriedly. “You're not in your right mind. You don't know what you're talking about.”

“Fuck you,” you spit at me. “You think they won't look into it?”

“Sure they will,” I say. “But I don't think they'll find anything.”

“If I leave you,” you tell me. “I'll never know what you're up to. What if you trick the next girl into believing the average Joe act? What if you kill everyone around her and then her? What then?”

“I would never hurt someone I love.”

“You're sick, Joe,” you say. “You need help.”

“I don't think so.”

You shake your head.

“So what? If I stay with you, I can't ever be mad at you? I can't ever show a negative emotion because it's not fair to you? Is that what you're telling me?”

“Not at all. I'm sure we'll have plenty of fights about the stupidest things. That's what couples do. But you can't blame me for protecting you if you know about it. If you choose it.”

“I can't agree to that.”

“Then I guess we're breaking up.”

“I don’t want that, either.”

“Figure out what you want, then,” I say. “What's your perfect scenario?”

“You don't kill anyone.”

“I don't just kill anyone. I only kill when I need to.”

“You're deranged,” you say. There is a disbelieving look on your face. “And you think I'll just go along with that?”

“I'll make you a promise,” I say seriously. “Not your grandparents. Not your family. Not so long as you go back to New York with me and stay there, out of their reach.

You laugh, unhappily.

“Well, fuck me, then! Guess I found the perfect man! You're going to kill people, but not my family! Guess that makes it all okay!”

“If you thought it was okay,” I say. “I would be very worried.”

“But you're not worried about yourself?”

“No.”

You lean your head back, staring at the ceiling, then close your eyes.

“If I break up with you,” you say. “I will never forgive myself. But what you're asking me… The way you want me to stay with you…” You shake your head. “There's no right answer here.”

“Nothing in life is exactly right,” I say. “There's just what you want, and what you don't. And I think you know what you want. I think you're just afraid to admit it.”

You look at me.

“You know what I want?” you say. “I want to stay in love with you. I want to stay so in love with you I can't think straight. I want to have sex every day and get married in a couple of years and have some kids who look like us because I'm selfish as fuck and you make me really happy, most of the time.” You take a breath. “But when I open a newspaper and see an obituary, I don't want to wonder if you had anything to do with it.”

“Then don't,” I say. “Don't wonder. Just ask me.”

“Just ask you?”

“Or better yet, I'll just tell you. No secrets.”

“No secrets,” you say. “Just like that? You have a billion secrets, Joe.”

“Not really. Not anymore.”

You stare at me.

Last time we talked about Jinx. This time, I'm talking about Vi, Jinx/Powder's sister.

Vi, even at a young age, is given clear characterization as the more responsible, mature, has-her-shit-together sister out of the two. She's the one who told her sister keep your eyes shut while we're walking to safety. But even she can't hold it together when she sees her parents are apparently dead. It's upon Vander to help get them to safety, carrying the load. He can't carry their grief, but he can carry them.

We also see though that Vi has both equal hate for Piltover and it's high society pricks...and desire. She wants to go where those people are, as in the words of the Little Mermaid! And hey, compared to where they end up stuck, who wouldn't?

We also see that she's a clear, natural leader. She's the head of her little gang, and treats their thefts topside not just as simply a way to help pay the bills...but also as adventures AND a kind of "break" in an of itself. Them being up top is dangerous, but freeing.

We also see that despite the hardship she endured, it hasn't made her cruel or heartless. When Powder says that one day she wants to ride in one of the big, impressive zepplins flying by, Vi smiles at the thought...and when Mylo says "And one day I'm gonna shoot one of 'em down", she whacks his arm away. She clearly doesn't find THAT funny. He's not just being a little mean (given how he likes to bust Vi's balls you can argue he's going "yeah and I'll shoot your ship down when you get on it" to piss her off), he ruined the nice moment they were having. Way to kill the mood, Mylo!

When she sees Powder is afraid to jump to the next roof, she helps ease her over, and then catches her when she's just about to fall, showing she's still a responsible older sister figure. Her compassion, her responsibility, her natural leadership skills are all here...along with a bit of wit. Yeah, Vander will probably kick their asses if they screw up... "So DON'T SCREW UP."

We also see she prefers the direct route. They can't get the door they need open and Mylo says "I'm the only one who knows how to pick locks"...but Vi just "cuts the Gordian Knot" and kicks the door open. Problem solved. Now, granted...this ALSO shows a bit of recklessness, if someone HEARD THAT...they'd be in huge trouble.

We also see she's smart. She figures out, looking at all of the machinery in the room AND the complex equations on his chalkboard they must be in an inventor's house. AND she's also a skilled fighter, which we see when she fights off Deckard. Even when he's got a knife, her sheer FEROCITY makes him back down. Now, unfortunately things don't quite work out. Powder tries to escape with the loot they got...annnnnd she drops the bag while running from one of Deckard's goons. It understandably gets her friends kinda upset. But their father figure Vander's even MORE upset when he finds out what they did.

He tells Vi that the kids look up to her, and when you're the leader...you CAN'T be selfish. You have to put THEIR needs above your own, you have to be more responsible, more careful, because whatever happens is on her. Heavy lies the head that wears the crown, as the saying goes. And on top of that, violence in the end doesn't solve problems. It just makes more.

Later she has a talk with her sister, who thinks that maybe, she's just a jinx, worthless, of no help to the gang. Vi tells Jinx that truth be told, they all have bad days, and as long as they stick together...they'll be fine. But...she makes a mistake. When Powder shows off that she kept the jewels from their job...(which we, the audience know, cause EXPLOSIONS when they hit stuff), Vi tells her not to tell Vander about them. She's trying to protect her sister because Vander had said "nothing can tie you to that job topside or you'll get in trouble". The thing is...them TELLING Vander about this probably WOULD have been the smart thing. They'd find out what the things can do and either find a safe time to sell them, or they'd get rid of the things...and there wouldn't be any heartache later on.

Things go bad when Enforcers find them based off a tip from Deckard. Vi KNOWS Powder has the stones from up top, they gotta run...and run fast. They barely escape, but then Silco shows up not too long after. Ekko's father figure is killed, and Vander is taken. They know WHERE he's taken though and intend to get him back. There's just one thing...Powder wants to come.

But now, after all those talks with Vander AND him being taken away, Vi's thinking more carefully. If this all goes bad...she doesn't want to lose Powder. Even though she tells Powder "You're not ready", she asks Powder to stay behind, saying she couldn't bear for her to die if the rescue mission goes badly. She's trying to soften the blow. She also gives her a flare gun and tells her that if they come after her, shoot the flare and she'll come running.

Unfortunately Powder has kind of a fit. She angrily tosses stuff around and then she finds one of the blue gems and realizes "Wait, it makes stuff explode, I can use it to help save Vander"...only for it all to go downhill. What she does not only loses Vander, but kills Mylo and Claggor too. Vi's left with almost nothing...except the person whom she TOLD TO STAY HOME.

And...WELL, she lashes out.

And I get why. Vi has literally lost just about everyone but Powder, and Powder is the reason WHY she's lost just about everyone. All the built-up frustration, anger, disappointment she's been holding back not just because as the leader she needs to be strong but as Powder's sister...she CAN'T anymore. The love she feels for Powder turns to hate. Even when Powder uses her full name...

Which BTW, in writing is basically what you do to show things are really serious...

Vi can't help it. She calls Powder a jinx, saying Mylo was right about her...then she realizes "Oh my God I just hit my sister", looking down at her hands in horror.

She remembers what Vander said. Violence just makes more problems.

Boy was he right. But she's hurting right now. She's torn between her love for her sister, her horror at what she did, her horror at what SHE did, and her anger, and she just can't deal. So she walks off as Powder calls back that she needs her.

Vi, however...needs space. She needs space, she needs time to grieve, to process.

All she can do is slip into unconsciousness, assuming her sister is gonna die.

So...we've learned a lot about her. Despite how flawed she is, even when she was at her lowest point, the SECOND she sees her sister is in real, genuine danger she's immediately running off to try and save her and it's only INCREDIBLY BAD LUCK that keeps her from doing that. Remember, she has EVERY RIGHT to just be like "f--k her" after all Powder did, a lot of people WOULD angrily leave Powder to her fate.

But Vi loves her sister.

She can't just abandon her. Even after she's taken EVERYTHING from her. Because the core of Violet...is responsibility...and love.

Years later, Vi's changed a bit. She got way stronger...more buff...and tons of tattoos too. Caitlyn, an Enforcer from Piltover, goes to Vi and asks for her help, and Vi recognizes the particular GRAFFITI left behind at the crime scene. She'd know that monkey anywhere...it's Powder's.

So, Caitlyn busts her out of prison. And Vi naturally runs back to the Undercity. She's overwhelmed with emotions. It's like riding a bicycle, familiar, almost comforting.

Yet...also sad. Her best and worst memories are here, as she looks at what happened to Vander's bar. She tries to find out where Powder is, but by now Powder has changed SO much as Jinx...that basically nobody BUT Ekko has realized who she is. But the thing is, while she's gotten tougher...she's not invincible. She gets badly hurt, and Caitlyn saves her.

The good news is that Vi's hopeful. For the first time in a long time...she might get her sister back. That's when she meets Silco.

"What have you done with my sister?" "I have freed her. Candidly? I thought YOU were the prize of your family. But Jinx? Oh, she's more than I ever imagined!"

And the thing is...

Jinx has something. Something from her past.

The flare gun Vi gave her.

Despite how cruel and twisted she's become, Jinx has held onto the memory of Vi and what she represents. The hope...that Vi will come back to her and they can be sisters again. And Vi sees it.

Vi tries to apologize and Powder says she's changed, and Vi's not mad. "You did what you had to do to survive, what matters is we're together".

Unfortunately...this happy moment doesn't last. When Jinx sees Caitlyn, she begins to slip into a psychotic episode. Just when it looks like MAYBE Vi is getting through...Ekko's gang shows up and makes things worse. The sisters are separated yet again. And Vi finds out what's happened with Ekko.

It's a strong moment for them. Vi's just glad to see a friend. She thought he was gone too. Ekko's glad she's back, and he's also remorseful too. He thinks maybe if he'd gone with them, they could have saved Vander and Powder wouldn't be Jinx. Vi tries to tell him that for all he knows HE could have died too, or ended up perhaps another of Silco's goons. But she still thinks she can save her sister. She saw the recognition in Powder's eyes. She was CLOSE. She can do it.

Ekko shows her a mural...it's everyone they lost. All the ones they loved...and Powder is there too, because even though she's not gone...she is. Cuz Jinx pushed her down a well. Jinx works for Silco because she WANTS to.

But Vi insists...she has to try.

They find out that a pure gemstone is what Jinx wants for Silco. If they bring it back topside they can hopefully make some degree of peace, and bring Silco to justice. But Jinx uses butterfly bombs to attack when Caitlyn and Ekko get caught by Enforcers, and almost everyone BUT those two die. Vi, horrified that Jinx was so casually willing to kill, manages to get Caitlyn to safety and leaving Ekko to fight Jinx. Vi's clearly hurt that Jinx fires on her and Caitlyn, but she leaves all the same.

Later on, Caitlyn and Vi are bonding as Vi talks about her sister. She used to play a game where she and Powder would pretend to be monsters. Then the game turned into Vi chasing monsters away from Powder.

But then a real monster showed up...and Vi just ran. And Powder ran into the monster's arms.

Vi and Caitlyn present their findings to the Council. They tell them about Silco but the Council doesn't seem to want to intervene the way Vi wants.

Vi's naturally frustrated and furious. She went through all this, has possibly lost her sister AGAIN...and nobody's doing ANYTHING to help. Caitlyn tries to calm her down, but Vi says there's nothing they can do. It's oil and water.

Even them. Oil and water.

Even though Vi clearly doesn't want to believe it. She's obviously hurt. She allowed herself to dream of a better life...and instead she's left with disappointment. This is what happens when she gets her hopes up...they're dashed.

But...there's one person who seemed to listen on the council. Jayce.

And Jayce...has power fists.

She recognizes Jayce is someone Caitlyn trusts. If Caitlyn trusted him...maybe, just maybe...he can help. If they can trust down the shimmer manufacturing plants, where he makes the drugs...they'll shut HIM down. And Jayce is just as sick as Vi of doing nothing but TALKING ALL DAY.

It's time for action. Vi has decided to go the direct route...and just bust.

Down.

The door.

What's the time?

HAMMER TIME!

And it goes great! They beat the SHIT out of the shimmer-enhanced guards...

Until a stray shot from Jayce's hammer gun hits one of the workers and he realizes... "Oh fuck. FUCK. There's CHILD WORKERS HERE."

Jayce decides he simply can't keep doing this. Not if it means more kids might die. He'd rather make a deal with Silco. Silco gets his nation of Zaun if he shuts down shimmer production, gives over the gemstones and Jinx.

Caitlyn goes to blow off steam...by beating the ever-loving shit out of the enforcer of Silco who'd stabbed her before and nearly beaten her, whom Caitlyn saved her from previously. Now, all she pretty much wants...is revenge. And she's gonna get it in an act of symbolism...taking back Vander's bar. Starting from the bottom all over again.

She almost loses...but a vision of Vander speaks to her. Vi...Powder needs you. The Undercity needs you. You can't lose.

And she doesn't. She finally wins...and with only ONE power arm.

Just...when Jinx shows up to take her.

Jinx really seems to blame Vi for creating her...that her leaving is what made Powder into Jinx. Vi apologizes again for leaving and says NOTHING will stop her from being her sister. And as you might remember when I talked about Jinx...she's set up a unique dinner.

Silco and Caitlyn are there as prisoners. And Vi notices...Jinx has not only created DOLLS of Mylo and Claggor...she got Vi's favorite toy. The bunny Vi talked about someone tossing up into some phone wires that never came down. She's only NOW beginning to realize that Jinx's delusions might, just MIGHT...be far stronger than anything else. She's getting a peek behind the curtain and it terrifies her. And Jinx gives her a gun. "Make her go away". She says. She wants her to shoot Caitlyn...and Vi can have Powder back.

Vi pleas for Powder to stop. They can just leave. They never have to see Silco again.

Caitlyn gets hold of the gun and is gonna shoot Jinx, but Vi pleads with her not to. "She's still my sister". Even after EVERYTHING, Vi wants to believe Powder can still be Powder. That it's not too late for her. Unfortunately...Jinx gets the gatling gun back. Vi tries to plead with her to remember their family, while Silco gets hold of Jinx's gun. He's about to shoot Vi and Jinx in turn shoots HIM. As you may remember from the last time I talked about it, Silco lives long enough to tell Jinx she’s perfect just the way she is. The affirmation she always wanted from her family.

She sadly sits in the “Jinx” seat she’s labeled at the table…totally given in to the dark side.

“I thought maybe you could love me like you used to. Even though I’m different. But you changed too. So...here’s to the new us.”

Vi kept hoping, even after everything Jinx did...that her sister was still redeemable. That they could be happy again. But they can't. It's never, ever gonna be the same again. Jinx ignores Vi's pleading...and then decides to go launch a rocket at the Council Chambers at Piltover...

The big problem with Vi...is that love isn't meant to be unconditional. If you truly love and respect someone there ARE conditions. Responsibilities. You have to be open and honest, you have to really respect what both your partner or your family wants...within REASON. Because there's no such thing in real life as an unlimited right.

Jinx had chance...after chance...to show she could be stronger than her dark side. And Vi, over and over again, tried to do what was right, and to do the responsible, just thing. But the series keeps punishing her.

Watching this is rough. I'm not gonna lie. It gets hard to watch, knowing that no matter how hard Vi tries to do what's right, and to do right by her home and her sister, and the woman she's come to love...it keeps all getting f--ked up.

The tragedy of Vi is she's had far too many crosses to bear than anyone should. And keeps giving second chances to someone who proved they already had their third and FOURTH chance...and just chose to be selfish over everything else.

And to think...I'm not even at the SECOND SEASON yet. I'll dive into that later. Hope you all enjoyed reading.

ANALYSIS #3: 03/09/24

A new critter has entered the ring, a very goober-ish one indeed. Yours was a bit tricky to pinpoint, especially with my unfamiliarity of the characters you've chosen, but I think I've done a decent enough job for now. Hopefully you're able to find something that resonates.

What were those characters you picked anyways?

Ahh, you're a very eccentric little fellow, aren't you? You seem quite fun, but the fun ones are always the most concerning. Why don't we try looking at your background first?

"LORE":

Loneliness is a feeling you know all too well. You've been backstabbed, abandoned, forgotten. Almost everything associated with the idea of being alone is something you're able to understand. Though, you're weird in a sense. You have friends, you're able to make conversations with people, but it never seems to last, does it? You're always the second option. The temporary friend. A tutorial guide, even. Left to built paths for others but never being given your own. You yearn to have the lasting relationships that come so naturally for others. All you really want is to be seen. By anybody. Somebody. Just one person would be enough.

And by gods, what in the seven hells is going on with your parents.

I might not have much proof for this one (other than Scaramouche, I suppose), but I have a specific feeling that one of your parents has abandoned you, either literally or mentally, and the other simply can't take care of you properly because of all the slack they're picking up from the other. They both either can't or don't pay attention to you. They never seem to fully support you or understand your needs. They're usually too consumed with their own lives or their own problems to recognize yours. Either that, or they attempt to but are too unstable to really give you what you what you need. They compare you to others. They expect you to follow in their footsteps but they don't even tell you how you're supposed to do that, let alone consider if that's something you want. You're left in the dust and then expected to find your way back home alone, but the truth is that you don't even know what home is. Home is where the heart is, but your heart has been kicked around so many times it can't tell left from right anymore. You just wanna know what home feels like. Why is home so much to ask for?

People tend to push you to the side. Most likely because you don't think the way they think. You're not the most logical person in a room, or at least not in the way people expect you to be. You're more experienced in emotions, feelings, and desires, not economics. You do have many skills, but you're never given the opportunity to prove yourself. These skills would be great in the real world, but the real world doesn't see the value in them without proof, which is the same proof they're preventing you from having. They even have the audacity to judge you for not having said proof. That's why you stay on the outskirts of life. You sit cheering on the sidelines while desperately hoping that one day you'll be able to join their games. That one day they'll realize you do deserve to be on the big screen. You swear you do. Why won't they let you play? Why don't you deserve that attention? What are you doing wrong? It consumes you.

I am afraid I can't do much to mend the empty tears in your heart, but I can try to identify the main ailments. Let's see what really keeps your mind pacing.

THE TRUTH:

You don't entirely feel human. You love people, you love making connections, but it's like there's something wrong with you. Like God cursed you to be indefinitely incompatible with the world. You try to embrace your differences. Confidence is always key, isn't it? It has to be. Because if it isn't, you won't have anything. Because if it isn't, all you will be left with is the intrusive fact that you will always be disconnected from the people you long to be next to. You know it, we both do. You're stuck in a loop of your own isolation and it is driving you mad by the second.

Despite being so in tune with your feelings, you have a lot of trouble verbalizing those emotions. You tend to have trouble knowing yourself in general, which is ironic considering how you're also unapologetically yourself. It's a weird mix to have, and it's confusing to even yourself. This confusion bleeds out into the rest of your daily life. You might accidentally make promises you can't keep. You're probably not the best at planning because of it. You also might need a lot of personal space to figure out your own thoughts. It's all just so confusing. You wish things wouldn't be so frustrating anymore.

What makes this worse is that you're actively ignoring the problems that you can recognize. It is inarguably evident. I can't blame you really, since ignoring them is all you're really able to do with what you've been given in life, but at some point you will need to confront them. You can only stay in a house engulfed in flames for so long. One day you will lose control, and all that will be left is an empty rage. And that's assuming you aren't already burning as we speak.

I'm afraid I can't even think of much more to add. The world has drowned you and in retaliation you are flaming. It hurts you, but you will do anything to make sure it hurts the world more, to make sure it feels the exact same pain it's given you. There's not much to add to such a self-explanatory tragedy.

I don't have a solution to aid something like this, but maybe showing you your own best traits would help restore your faith in humanity, even if it's only for a second. 

YOUR BEST TRAITS:

You see the beauty in things that go overlooked by most. You have a genuine appreciation for the smallest things in life, and you want to do what you can to keep those things at their best. Not everybody is willing to take the time to notice these kinds of details, and then to make sure those details stay noticed and remembered? That's the kind of "Tender Loving Care" that can only be given through people like you. It's an important value, and you should make sure you remember that as well.

You bring out the best in people by being yourself. You help people let loose, and frankly everybody needs a little more of that in their lives. You're smart though. You know when to take a step back, you know your boundaries and stop when needed. You're empathetic and observant, and it makes you one of the greatest protectors anybody could have. People should be honored to have you on their side, because you'd go as far as you could to make sure the people you truly care about aren't left behind like you were.

Despite all the shit you've been put through, you do love the world. You want to live. You want to have fun. You want time know people. You're adventurous, you live in the moment, and you'll be damned if you don't try to make all your suffering worth it. Your passion shows throughout every aspect of you. Do not let go of that. It is what keeps you fighting and the world needs more fighters, especially in this decade. Just make sure you don't die a martyr. As honorable as it is, we cannot lose the few warriors we have. And you are one of the most priceless and irreplaceable warriors we have. Do not let the world take that away from you.

Serious question: how is it possible not to feel like we're doomed after reading such discussions? Like, it's clear people just refuse to care about women at all. They only care about men who call themselves women

I gotta be honest. I'm optimistic. If you're naturally pessimistic then you are already dead in the water, that's just the truth. But also, I feel like real life is better than online. I've had multiple pleasantly surprising conversations because I wasn't afraid to speak up. You can't be afraid to voice your opinion. Also, I don't understand the sentiment of being afraid to lose friends because of your disagreement on trans rights. I'll happily lose anyone who tells me that lesbians can like dick. Not only do I not give a single shit, but I've done it before and would do it again. Value yourself more. You don't deserve to be around people like that. Cut them off. You're not losing anything. I'm not in agreement with my friends on trans rights, but I have told them what's what. One of them has come to me privately to ask me questions on my beliefs, and we had a very respectful discussion. The thing is, I think these discussions are better in real life. Idk what it is, but people are sweeter when you talk to them face to face. Repeating what people say back to them helps them see that they're being ridiculous. I told one of my friends that liking both genitals makes someone bisexual, and she completely agreed despite the fact you can probably guess what we were arguing about that would prompt me to say that. A few months ago, I was in a group of people my age and we were absolutely clowning on a boy in our class who had said that trans women belonged in women's sports and who had called our teacher a terf . One of the boys in our group had never even heard the word terf before. A lot of the good people are offline or aren't heavily engaged in this specific debate. You gotta remember that the grand majority of people are straight and thus don't spend much time thinking about gay or trans people. I asked my mother what she thought of trans people and she said she "doesn't think about it". Imagine that? Never once thinking about this? A lot of people aren't aware of what's going on. Do you remember super straight? Straight people caught a whiff of the nonsense that trans people spout about sexuality and they went OFF. There's a lot more animosity towards the homophobia and misogyny of the trans movement than you think. Riley J Dennis' video about genital preferences was FILLED with people disagreeing with him and saying he wants everyone to be bisexual. Genuinely not a positive comment in sight. If you repeat trans rhetoric to regular people, there's a fairly good chance they'll think you're joking around. People want to be good. They take things at face value. A trans person say this? It must be true! They'll hit the 'like' button on trans positivity posts. But if you just challenge them a little bit then they almost always crack, in my experience. A literal perfect example is during the argument between my friends I mentioned above. One of them quite literally said "I've been agreeing with what you guys have said so far, but after hearing what [me] had to say, I agree with that as well." Like. You CAN'T be a coward. I remain positive because I don't think that things are as bad as a lot of you guys think. I genuinely really don't. I have so many more positive things to say, but I'm feeling burnt out so hopefully this makes you feel better, anon ❤️

Hi! Do you remember Sam saying that "lestat needs to understand it's his fault all people he turned into vampire left him" including Gabrielle and Nicki. Do you agree with him? Because unless they'll majorly change dynamics between Lestat and Gabrielle and Nickistat it's not his fault? Gabrielle and Lestat couldn't stay together because they ultimately needed different things and I always felt they understood that, and Nicki was mentally ill... I'm honestly scared how they'll spin those relationship because they changed a lot from loustat dynamic in IWTV (book), while they added more romance, they added more physical abuse too and outcome turned out completely different (in book there's grey area concerning Claudia murdering Lestat, in show he deserved everything and way more etc) I just really hope they know what they're doing. I saw too many takes and theories how bad Lestat was to Nicki and Gabrielle, and if those turned out to be true I don't know what to do. I get that Rolin wants character redemption arc, but the way lestat's character morally made way worse for that is not a good thing IMO. Lestats antagonistic role in first book was more because of Louis general misunderstanding of lestats character, who he truly see in the end of the book. In the show Louis knows way more about Lestats past already AND lestats way more awful to Louis and Claudia. It can't be simple miscommunication (in simplifying terms). So I truly trust Sam with lestats character but I don't trust writers and unfortunately Sam can't influence them (at least majorly) Basically I'm afraid of them making Lestat even MORE removed from book!canon for the sake of future arc when there's no need for that

Sorry for the rant, but you're one of my favorite blogs in fandom, and your answers always do thoughtful, I thought I'd share my concerns with you

Tbh, I differ a bit with the judgement of Lestat being removed from the books... The show pulled all the subtext up (*ducks away from Sam*), not just the implied sexual components, but also in regards to the abuse. The abuse is in the books, it's text, it's good to remember that.

And Lestat can be quite capricious, and an ass, and he is a killer. They all are. I don't think he is that much removed from book!canon actually, especially when you consider that... we haven't even seen the real Lestat yet.

The only(!!!) "real" Lestat we get in season 1... is "Come To Me". And if you look at the text there, it is surprisingly insightful, I've written about it here (and I'll go over it in today's chapter of 'Laden').

Louis is telling us his story, for an effect. He wanted to omit Lestat in Paris, and for that he had to be dead, and it had to be inevitable for him to be dead. The reason for this interview is still unclear at this point, though I believe it has a lot more to do with Daniel and Armand than the need for an actual second interview^^.

I'd be very careful with theories and metas taking only what is the "first level" of it all at face value, namely what Louis is telling to Daniel. That is a tale, and that tale has already been broken apart at the end of episode 7. Was it all a lie? No, most certainly not.

But it was not the (whole) truth either and told for an effect.

So, I'd... suggest not to fret just yet.

From what I've seen and what I've heard... there is literally no reason to worry. 😅

For all the characters btw, not just Lestat.

I think they did their homework, and magnificently so, too. That will show in all the relationships, in the one to Gabrielle and Nicolas, too, but... remember we are likely on Lestat's POV then... and that will be massively different.

The writers are playwrights, let's let them tell their tale :), and then we can judge after.

But I'm not worried at all tbh. Just giddy.

There is nothing that's telling me that H and L wants to keep their sexuality (and their relationship for that matter) a secret. A secret they never want to see the light of day. Neither of them act very protective of their secret, they seem to self-sabotage a lot if that were the case. Like Louis singing 7 and i love him, i hate it and Harry refusing to label his sexuality and claiming that his friends and family know (peculiar thing to say if you're straight, even more peculiar thing to say if you want to keep your sexuality a secret). They are feeding the speculation all the time, they are also feeding larries. They know the less they feed us, the less harshly they'll have to be closeted. Still they keep doing it, so that tells me they're still fighting in the ways that they can. I don't think H and L wants to be closeted. It's not their choice.

I agree that older closeted celebrities have their reasons for being closeted, it probably varies a lot why. I don't think everyone still closeted is a secret predator or groomer. A celebrity coming out might out other celebrities (or make it more difficult for them), it might reveal lies, it might shed a different light on situations and it begs the question if someone partook in closeting them. If it's big powerful people or companies, it can be a can of worms. I think most older celebrities still enjoy their reputation and respect, and they're afraid it will be lost if they come out. So there is many different reasons why they stay closeted.

Trying to escape to another timeline to escape the God of Deception was a terrible plan. Still, it was the only one she had. She went down one of the alleys until she stopped behind a corner. She looked out to see if she saw him and breathed a little easier when she didn't.

Suddenly she heard a draft behind her and turned around, just enough to see the God dressed in a very elegant tuxedo.

-What class you have, Loki. Are you going to the opera?

-I'm glad you like it - she said, opening her arms on both sides of her body - I put it on specifically for you.

-How thoughtful - she smiled, pausing - Are you going to kill me now or should I keep running?

-If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it already - he said, getting a little closer, cornering her against the rock wall - I want you to tell me the reason why you are running away from me

If you nestle yourself into his arms after a fight he'll love it. He loves the smell of people being active and sweat is one of those things.

If you punch down, though, to people who can't fight back, that's when he gets unhappy. He'll straight up hold you back from them and hold talks between you and him to find out why you're doing it.

He doesn't appreciate the double standard, either- people will tell him how you're acting, and if enough people do so he'll sit down with you and find out the truth.

He has an extremely low tolerance for bullies in my opinion, so he wouldn’t try and fix you. Either you shape up and stop bruising Mikans shins when she stutters too much or you’re done.

Oh boy.

You were probably threatening some kid for their lunch when he passed by, but the fact that he didn’t try and stop you or just look away nervously piqued your interest.

Of course, the first time you tried to talk to him you tried to kabe don him and Peko ripped you away and trapped you on the ground as she assumed you were trying to threaten him.

Once the misunderstanding is cleared up and you two get together, he doesn’t give two shits about what you do. If they didn’t want to get hit, they should learn to defend themself. Not his problem.

He really likes the affection, probably, but don’t do it in public or where his family can see. He’ll be incredibly embarrassed and shove you away if you do so anyway.
