One time I was thinking about what Kalim's family could be like and I thought of something fun. I don't know if anyone had already thought of this/had this idea.

First of all, I think we can conclude with near certainty that Kalim's father has multiple wives. And then I thought: What if Kalim's father has white hair and he has seven wives each with hair and eyes the colors of the rainbow?

The first wife would have red hair and eyes and so Kalim would have his father's white hair and his mother's red eyes; the second wife would have orange hair and eyes, the third yellow and so on, green, blue, indigo and violet.

They would be like a big rainbow family! 🌈😄

Christmas doesn't exist in Twisted Wonderland. You're the one who told Silver and the others about this holiday in your world.

“It sounds like a heartwarming holiday.” Silver tells you. “I understand that you miss it. Are you going to celebrate it at Ramshackle Dorm?”

You say you could do it, but since Christmas isn't a holiday in Twisted Wonderland it's hard to find decorations. And even though you like Grim and the ghosts you'd still feel a little sad that there are so few people.

“I understand. I also always celebrated my birthdays and holidays with few people. Usually it was just me, Father and Malleus. Then Sebek and his family started joining us. And now I have had the opportunity to celebrate certain dates at this school with new people and you. I can see how difficult it will be to have so few people with you again after these experiences.”

You ask if he's also going to spend the winter break with few people.

“Probably with the same people, I believe. Most of the days should be spent with Father and once or twice we should go to see Sebek and his family. Malleus must also come for a visit.” He smiles, looking into space. “I wonder what it would be like if you were with us.”

You smile and look at him hopefully.

“Hmm? Would you like to spend winter break with us? But wouldn't that interfere with your holiday?”

You explain that no, that Christmas can be celebrated in any home. And you also wouldn't mind not celebrating it that year.

“Please don't say that. Your culture should be celebrated if it means that much to you. Especially such a merry holiday.” He thinks for a moment. “You say this Christmas can be celebrated in any home.” He smiles again. “Now that I think about it, there's someone in that house who would love to experience a completely new holiday. In that case, would you like to join us this year?”

You accept the invitation and the two of you end up agreeing that you and Grim would spend the winter break at Silver and Lilia's house in Briar Valley.

But before that day arrived, you ended up slipping on the ice that had formed in Ramshackle Dorm's backyard and breaking your ankle. Grim was very worried but followed your instructions to go and get someone from the infirmary. But halfway there he saw Silver sleeping at the foot of a tree and went to wake him up.

“SILVER! SILVEEER!”

Silver wakes up, not because Grim spoke loudly but because of the urgency in his voice.

“Grim? What happened?”

“(Y/N)! They slipped on the ice and are in a lot of pain and their ankle is swollen!”

“What? Did they sprain their ankle? No! Tthat doesn't matter now. You go tell the infirmary, I'll go get (Y/N).”

“(Y/N)!” You hear Silver shout as he runs towards you.

He didn't stop to ask if you were okay. He could see from the poor condition of your ankle that it was a serious fracture. As soon as he got close to you he immediately knelt down and picked you up in his arms. He had that serious expression that would probably turn anyone away.

He didn't run because that could hurt your ankle even more, but he walked as fast as he could, which in itself was faster than most people walk. He also carried you in his arms as easily as if you weighed nothing, but with the same care as if you were something of inestimable value.

When you arrived at the infirmary, Grim and the nurse were already waiting for you. Silver carefully placed you on the bed and he and Grim left for the nurse to examine you and take care of you. He almost had to take Grim with him by force because he wanted to be with you so much.

After the nurse takes care of you and puts the cast on your ankle, you can receive visitors. Silver and Grim return and Grim immediately jumps into your lap. Silver stands beside you as if guarding you.

“Don't worry, I took care of that ice for you.” Grim tells you after you calm him down and tell him you were fine now.

“After nearly burning down Ramshackle Dorm by melting the ice with his fire breath and magic.”

“Collateral damage. But I didn't burn down the dorm, it's fine.”

“Because we protect the dorm with our magic.” Another familiar voice enters and approaches you. “Khee hee hee, it was a fun exercise. How are you (Y/N)?”

You tell Lilia that you are okay now, but you remember that the next day you would go with them to Briar Valley.

“I really wanted to go with you guys.”

“What do you mean by ‘wanted’ you don't want anymore?” Lilia messes with you. “And why did you think you could no longer come with us? It's not like your ankle is a problem. I'm sure Silver will be happy to carry you around if necessary. Khee hee.”

Silver blushes slightly, but smiles in agreement.

“Grim and I can take care of the decorations. And I'm sure Sebek and Malleus would love to help too. Unless...” Lilia makes a dramatic heartbroken face. “...you broke your ankle to get rid of us. *sniff*”

You laugh and guarantee that you didn't do it on purpose to hurt yourself.

“So be prepared to be well tomorrow so we can go, okay?”

“Have you already packed your bags?” Silver asks you. “If not, I can do it for you. Just tell me what you need and I'll get it all ready. And if there's anything else you need to do, just let me know. I'll take care of everything for you.”

“And I can babysitter Grim on the meanwhile.” Lilia laughs as Grim complains about not being a baby to need a babysitter.

When they are about to leave, you ask Silver to stay just a little longer. Lilia takes Grim with him and leaves Silver behind with you.

You share with him that you don't want to be a burden to them. You don't feel right about having him and Lilia as your personal nurses while they should be enjoying their winter break.

“You would never be a burden.” Silver assures you. “We will be happy to help you with your recovery and having you with us at this time of year. Besides, I could never leave you alone here with an ankle to take care of. I know Grim and the ghosts would help you with whatever you needed but... I want to be there for you. I want to be someone you can count on. So please don't feel like you are asking or receiving to much from us. I would do this and more for you.”

He kisses your forehead and then smiles sweetly at you.

“I'll come get you tomorrow. I hope everything goes well with your recovery until then.”

If you ask him for a kiss on the lips, he will blush a little while smiling and will give you a sweet and delicate kiss. “Would you like me to come and keep you company in your dreams?”

As English is not my first language I can't write Epel's dialect/accent as I would like, but I hope it still feels accurate. 🤞

CHARACTERS: Epel Felmier / Lilia Vanrouge

WARNING: Spoilers from The Phantom Bride event and the Vignettes of the respective Cards.

CONTEXT: Someone was kidnapped to marry some ghost princess and might end up turning into a ghost too. And they just found out that someone was you.

The only thing Epel knew was that someone had been kidnapped by a ghost or something.

When he found out that it was you who had been kidnapped and to marry that ghost, he not only panicked but also got furious! Vil and Riddle had to calm him down.

Although he wanted to be in the very first rescue group, the others ended up convincing him to stay in the last one.

Every time a rescue party failed, he would release all the frustration he had. He even went so far as to criticize Vil himself for failing.

Rook promised he wouldn't tell Vil anything because he found Epel’s display of raw feelings merveilleux.

When it was Epel's group's turn, Riddle and Rook had already fallen behind and he and Ace were almost reaching you, more ghosts appeared. Guards who mistook Epel for a princess and made him furious.

He wanted to stay behind and fight them, but he remembered that it was you they were trying to save. And if there was anyone he wanted to prove his strength and courage to the most, it wasn't those ghosts, it was you.

Instead, he convinces Ace to stay behind. Or rather, he almost threatens him to stay behind. Ace commented that, really, with all that determination maybe he should be the one to face the princess, and he stayed to fight the guards.

When he arrived at the ceremony hall he was so angry about the whole situation that he didn't even try to hide it to deceive the princess.

“Listen here ya spoiled brat!” The guards, the princess and Vil gasped! “I'm fed up and tired of this crap! Go find someone who wants to actually marry ya instead of forcin´ someone to do it and save us all the headaches?!” The ghosts turn on him, telling him how foul-mouthed he is for the way he looks. “Looks don't define who I am! And I am not sorry if I'm insulting you! I don't need to be a tall and handsome prince on a white horse to fight for the one I love!” He said it in the heat of the moment and then immediately blushed like a red apple and fell silent.

The princess was surprised by his courage and determination despite his body and appearance. Even though she said it in a way that insulted Epel. And she began to wonder if she herself would have someone who would risk themselves so much in that way for her, regardless of their fragile bodies (once again insulting more than complimenting)

The guard who is in love with her takes this opportunity to declare his love, she discovers that she also likes him after all and they marry each other.

Despite the embarrassment, Epel runs to you and stays by your side the rest of the time. However, even though he is embarrassed by the declaration of love he made to you, he is very proud of himself because he managed to save you by being himself.

Lilia was already fighting some ghosts more for fun and defense than anything else.

And he remained in a playful mood as they explained that a student had been kidnapped by the princess to marry her. That mood only changed slightly when he heard your name.

On the outside, he continued to appear unconcerned about the situation, but in his head he was already drawing up a plan of attack and conquest.

Lilia asked to be in the last group, using the excuse that they should save the best and cutest candidates for last. Epel didn't like the comment very much.

If it were anyone else, he would take the whole rescue operation as a joke, but it's YOUR life that's at risk, so that was a battle.

He used what he observed from other groups along with his experience as a war general to come up with the best plan he could.

Needless to say, part of the plan was for him to get to you, so he used his persuasive charm to convince everyone else to stay behind and stop the guards whenever necessary.

He entered the ceremonial hall slamming both doors open.

“PRINCESS! I beg you to stop this wedding! You are making a mistake!” Everyone looked at him, curious. “I completely understand you wanting to marry (Y/N). But you deserve someone on your level, someone who understands your dreams and feelings. In other words... (Y/N) is at too high a level for you.” Everyone gasped, but his expression was one of pity for the princess, even though you knew it was just one of his masks. He knew perfectly well that he was insulting her and having fun with it. “I'm sure someone like them has a much higher standard, you wouldn't be able to satisfy them. It's going to be a headache for you to spend every day trying so hard to even reach the level of someone who deserves them.” He smiles innocently. “You should choose someone more on your level. One of your guards perhaps?”

At first the princess is upset and asks how Lilia could say something like that. But then, she starts to question whether he is right about you being in fact too good for her and becomes sad.

It is at this point that the guard who is in love with her enters the conversation to console her and ends up revealing his feelings for the princess.

They realize that their love is mutual and end up marrying each other.

Lilia ends up revealing to you that his plan was to make that guard declare himself. While everyone was focusing on the princess, he realized that the real target must be someone else.

“Oh, but I was being honest all the time. I do believe you deserve better. Actually, you deserve the best. On another note, don't you think I look so charming in this outfit? Does it not make you want to take the opportunity and marry me? Khee hee hee.”
