I love dunmeshi for the like.. built in horror of consumption. Like they eat to survive, they eat to honor their prey, they eat to possibly mourn someone. Laios eats monsters because he wants to learn more about the things he loves, Senshi eats monsters to feel included in the ecosystem because he didn't fit in with the outside and with most creatures in general, Chilchuck DOESN'T eat as much as he could because eating too much could kill all the party members, Marcille eats monsters and hates it but she still does it because she'll die before she could save Falin.

hey guys… we all know that it’s okay for mithrun to have a caretaker for the rest of his life, right? that even after he heals and potentially regains his desires he will probably still need support?? that the goal of healing is not to become a “normal person”, but to build skills to navigate the world in a way that accommodates your disability??? that relying on the people around you is not a failure, but proof of your desire to live????

when people think delilah just completely takes over and laudna has no control. when people think jester is just an uwu child who has been manipulated by every man she’s met. when people think vex is an empty husk of daddy issues without her brother by her side. when people think fjord is an arrogant asshole who doesn’t pay attention to the party around him. when people think scanlan saying that vox machina doesn’t care about him is an accurate assessment.

“why can’t trans women just use the male bathrooms?” and “why don’t women want trans women in their bathrooms?” both have the same answer and it would be prudent for certain adults to stop pretending otherwise

"you just ship zutara because its a bad boy/good girl dynamic" yeah actually i do. im so glad we're on the same page about this. its literally the most quintessential and incredibly popular teen romance troupe and you say that like its a bad thing.

TIL that Pathfinder 2e not only has the standard sex change potion (Serum of Sex Change) but also the “Elixir of Gender Transformation” which only shifts the drinker’s secondary sexual characteristics and requires regular dosing, and you know what? I appreciate the fact that someone took the time to detail fantasy HRT.
I mean, yeah, there’s an appeal to the whole instant sex change to treat gender dysphoria, but it’s nice to see the writers took the time to think about the nonhero trans people in their setting who can’t afford the original potion. And also I appreciate the option for people without bottom dysphoria. Y’all are also valid <3

I am BEGGING the BG3 fandom to acknowledge that the story is specifically set up so that the player always makes the “right” decision.
Trust The Emperor? He does exactly as he says, treats you as a friend, helps you kill The Netherbrain, and floats off into the sunset without ever once betraying you. Don’t trust The Emperor? He taunts you, says he always thought of you as a puppet, shows you how evil he is and fights against you in the final battle.
Help Astarion ascend, Gale become a god, and Shadowheart become a Dark Justiciar? They say thank you, this is what I always wanted, I’m very happy. Keep Astarion a spawn, Gale mortal, and make Shadowheart a Selunite? They say thank you, this is what I really wanted, I’m very happy.
The characters aren’t real people. They’re plot devices to ensure that the player always gets a satisfying conclusion to following the plot and side quests to their completion. I’m so tired of the same arguments over and over where people use evidence from Choice A to explain why Choice B is bad and invalid.

I don't really care about people's takes on what the current situation in Thedas is or whether or not people like that the Chantry was centred less or whether or not people like that the mage rebellion was mentioned in Veilguard or not everyone has their own interpretations and everyone has their own readings of stuff said in the game but one commonly repeated line I have seen in both Veilguard positive and negative posts is that 'it's ok that the Chantry wasn't mentioned as much because we're in Northern Thedas and it's different there'... no? Correct me if I'm wrong because I'm very far from a lore expert but there's only three places in Thedas that don't follow the Orlesian Chantry and that is Tevinter, Seheron, and Rivain and Rivain doesn't really even count because they do still follow the Orlesian Chantry it's just that they're a lot more relaxed about it because of the qunari and Seer influence there. And the Circle got annulled because of that. (Let me just reiterate an entire group of people got brutally murdered for their unconventional take on religion and that is an actual quest that is a part of the game Dragon Age: The Veilguard that still somehow fails to bring up religion at all during it, but I digress). As for Tevinter, they still follow the Chant, the literal only difference is that 'magic was made to serve man' means something different. Yes mages have a lot more influence and the templars don't have the same power because of that, but the Shadow Dragon organization's (that our PC can literally be a part of) tag line is "Bring The Light". What light do you think they're talking about? The same light they're talking about in the fucking Chant. Because one of the leaders of said organization is a major figure in the church. A fact that's never brought up in a substantial way. It's a huge part of all of this, and it isn't really brought up in any meaningful way even though we literally prove this oppressive overarching religion wrong. It honestly even irks me slightly in relation to the Antaam because the whole reason the Antaam exist is because of the Qun. I know there are codex entries talking about how the Antaam fractured and their way of life influencing this but idk. And honestly I'm more complaining about fandom dismissing this as 'not a real critique' than I am of the game for not including it. But anyway back to my point, Antiva follows the Orlesian Chantry, Nevarra follows the Orlesian Chantry, obviously Ferelden and Orlais do. It's actually not that much of a stretch to be asking questions about why this previously very pervasive religion is somehow not mentioned At All in the game despite the fact that it's a follow up from Religion: The Game. And so many of the revelations have major impacts on it. I understand it's not necessary for the story but I think it takes away from character depth and also worldbuilding. And again, if you don't feel that way about it, fine, whatever, play the game how you want and interact with the world how you want, but claiming people are stupid for bringing it up because 'we're in a different part of the world' is not a valid dismissal and is quite rude actually too.

what does (msn) mean for autism?
“Level 1 - Level 2 - Level 3” in the DSM.
(LSN) Low-Support needs, (MSN) Middle-Support needs, (HSN) High-support needs.
I was in special ed my entire life, as well as discovering (others) I was autistic was very early on (Kindergarten). I’ve always needed extra support specific to my autism, more than LSN autistics need (which is not to say they do not need support — all autistics need some type of support, this is just to help others know how much).
MSN, means that I need substantial help in my day-to-day life to be able to stay alive and functioning. I need a daily caregiver, someone to help me bathe, clothe, food, clean, etc. I wasn’t able to work, go to school myself without some type of accommodations and help from an “aid” or caregiver. I would never have been able to live alone even if I wasn’t physically disabled, because I was always mentally disabled (Autistic).
I just happen to have become physically disabled as well. My old therapist said that Autistic individuals have a higher chance of developing auto-immune disorders and disabilities due to the way the brain and body are connected and work. Especially if that coincides with severe and ongoing trauma, which causes the nervous system to “break down” and immune system to become, well… less immune.
I hope this makes sense, I spent like, 45 minutes writing this to make sure it sounded right.

teen wolf meme: [3/5] motifs -> resurrection
It's different now. I think dying did something to him. It did something to me, too. But none of it was good.
#teen wolf#lydia martin#kate argent#tracy stewart#scott mccall#peter hale#jackson whittemore#derek hale#hayden romero#twedit#twgifs#mine#my gifs#twmeme#yes i'm aware that it can definitely be argued whether resurrection is a motif in teen wolf or just a recurring plot device#and while it's certainly not a symbolic motif like fire and water was previously#the way it's utilized within the show does make me read it moreso as a motif than just plot#like water it's used to communicate an internal change but the ways it differs from water is that it usually occurs at the end of a#narrative arc whereas water typically appears at the beginnings#water is used to signify a character's beginning descent into something new and the resurrection is once that change is completed#jackson's arc in season two is started with his submersion in water and it's ended with his resurrection#and lydia's arc in eichen house in 5b is much the same with her in the river in her mind at the beginning and then her dying and coming bac#at the animal clinic#even lydia's arc in season two can be read within these parameters#it begins with her in the hospital shower as she digs hair out of the water and ends when she resurrects peter#so while yes there is a reversal there and lydia isn't the subject of the resurrection she is the agent of it#which honestly the same can be said for theo in 5a#basically what i'm getting at here is that my reading of the resurrections in teen wolf as a motif is very valid and you should all agree#also i completely forgot about jackson's resurrection until i was literally writing these tags so i had to go back and make a gif for that

Note
STPD culture is wanting a therapist bc of your distress/anxiety/nervousness bc of your symptoms but being worried that that means that you are faking because schizotypal people usually don't seek help?? But you also don't really think you *need treatment* all the time and just need help dealing with emotions and coping with stress

its actually insane to me how many people are willing to wholeheartedly believe that something is bad without knowing what it is 😭 if you have "proshippers dni" in your bio, i dont think youre a bad person but i do immediately assume youre a little stupid 😖 you guys get so caught up in associating a word with something you saw or something someone else told you, you dont realize youre literally saying "if youre anti-harassment, GET OFF MY BLOG 😝"
i get that the label has been watered down by people who just use it as an excuse to be shitty online and harass people under the guise of moral superiority, but those people are just freaks and by definition arent even proshippers 😭 so can we not like ENCOURAGE false information by making everyone in the world believe thats what a proshipper is
