There's something so bittersweet about the childhood flashbacks in tua. They were all children together. Reginald was horrible, but they had each other. And then everything went to shit. The thing that absolutely SUCKS about having fandom OCs (this kind of goes for OCs in general, until you release them and gain a fandom) is that you're sitting here going nuts with The Feels™, and no one (save for maybe a couple of good moots, if you're lucky 🫶🏽) gives a shit about them or what you're yapping about.

And, of course, you have to make all of the content for them as well!

I forgot that Tara the thunderbeast has Thor-powers, and she managed to single-handedly send the pigskin bandits fleeing for their lives.

Not before they'd got a few hits in, though, and on the way back home...

... Vasso had a cut on his leg that got infected. By the time we got back to Monster's Basin, the infection was at 98%, and his immunity was only at 72%. So, sadly...

... He matches Socks now. I suppose you could say they're "all right", but you wouldn't because that would be in poor taste.

Then we got some Mechanoids causing trouble, and considering M.M. and Tara did such a good job with the pigskins, we sent them to deal with it alongside Poison the bionic thrumbo and Buckeye with her newly-unlocked psycaster abilities.

An eventful trip that ended in no more toxic fallout and also a new relationship in the cult! Hooray!

Merry Christmas! Today we came together to celebrate the birth of our Savior, first at church, and then at home with our little family. I bought the most adorable festive outfits—on sale, of course! With this many children it’s always prudent to watch our purse-strings, as Colin likes to remind me. Once we were dressed, we took family photos in front of our tree for our annual Christmas card. Every Christmas is a time for gratitude and joy, but I’ve never felt it as much as I have this year.

To begin with, Colin got a promotion! He’s now the manager of his company’s Brindleton Bay branch. As his wife I can testify to his hard work, persistence, patience, and—most important—trust in the Lord as he worked toward this career milestone. It was so cute to see him in church the Sunday after he got the job, telling everyone he saw about his big news!

It may not be obvious from the photo, but I’m pregnant with baby #5! We’ve just done our first scan and it’s only one baby in there. My heart wanted another set of twins (or triplets!) but my head knew I would have my hands full as a mama to five under five, let alone six or more! I’m not showing much, since I’m only eight weeks along. From what I��ve seen in our church community, the consistently tight spacing of my pregnancies (five under five!) is on the unusual side, but certainly not uncommon. As I grow older I’m sure my body will slow down, but for now I’m enjoying the fruits of God’s grace.

Once again, Merry Christmas! I’m prayerful He’ll continue to bless us in the coming year.

Fatherhood: How it started vs How it’s going

Teenage superhero groups are so good. Not only because they're always really fucking relatable, but also because their relationships are so special. They're like:

“I met you, and I was weary of you at first. We've become closer and closer to the point we trust eachother with our lives, but still not with our identities — it's sad, but it's how it is.

You've cried to me about how your mentor didn't listen to you, about how they yelled at you and didn't seem to care enough. I've cried to you about how my life is so lonely, about how being a hero is taking away my life, about how I can't be a teenager anymore because I can't rest without feeling like someone will die because of me not being there.

We've fought together, and we've fought eachother. We've cried together, laughed together and yelled together. We've saved the world together. We were never meant to be apart.

The other day, you were brainwashed and turned evil. You were tortured, striped away of your own being. We tried to help you anyway, even if our mentors told us not to. We still spent hours shopping for a birthday gift you'd like a few months later.

We're slowly growing up, and we're leaving the safety of our mentors's cloaks. We're going through different paths; always down, always falling, but not as together as we were before.

Some of us have found our own proteges. I'd like to say I'm better with mine than my own mentor was with me, and I hope you are the same.

Our proteges have found eachother the same way we did. The happiness from seeing me in your face was everything I needed to be convinced to stay with you.

We've been getting the others to come back, too. We're also recruiting new people, new young heroes who will get themselves killed if they're not guided properly. We're not the same young kids anymore, but we're together once again, and that's all that matters.

We grew up very quickly. I can see it from the way we don't laugh as much anymore, from the way we're the one attempting to stop the younger ones from pulling pranks on us, from the way we train instead of being trained.

We're all adults now. There was a time where we lost ourselves, and we wouldn't find us anymore. A time where I went to our old lair and saw it empty, devoid of life. A time where I tried to call you and you didn't answer. A time where I saw you on TV, with a kid by your side, looking at you like you're their entire world.

We're adults now. We've lost ourselves many times. But we've found eachother again. And I think that's what matters. Because we're not only teammates anymore; we're family.”
