Happy Valentine's Day folks!

Today, in honor of the holiday, I just released my very first holiday themed episode of my fanfic, "X-Men: The Next Mutation"!

Well, the first part of it at least.

The episode, as it says in the title, is called "Date Night in Murderworld".

It's Valentine's Day, and The X-Men have decided to celebrate it with a date night to Coney Island with their significant others and a few of their friends.

Those being the Maximoff Twins (Pietro and Wanda), Peter Parker, and his girlfriend Sophia Sanduval aka Chat.

However, they’ll soon find themselves in the creation of the fun-loving madman, Webber Torque aka Arcade!

That creation being the titular Murderworld!

the pulsating beat of the music surrounded sophia as she stood in the midst of the vibrant new year's eve party. the air was thick with anticipation, laughter, and the infectious energy of the approaching countdown. glittering confetti adorned the space, and couples swayed to the rhythm of the music, lost in their own world of celebration. her eyes, however, couldn't help but wander to a figure across the room — a figure that carried the weight of shared history and untold stories. there, amidst the revelry, stood the one she used to call hers, the echoes of their past etched in the lines of their once-intertwined destinies. as the countdown to the new year commenced, she couldn't ignore the magnetic pull that drew her toward the familiarity of their shared space. the unspoken tension between them lingered, a silent acknowledgement of the uncharted territory they were about to traverse. "i understand, alex," sophia replied, her fingers hovering over the keys as she carefully crafted her response. "it's not easy, and i don't expect you to just flip a switch and move on. healing takes time, and it's okay to struggle along the way." the thought of seeing alex one last time tugged at sophia's heartstrings, stirring up a whirlwind of emotions she had been trying to suppress. she knew that closure was necessary for both of them, a chance to say goodbye and find peace in their own separate paths. "i'd like that too," sophia admitted, her voice softening with sincerity. "one last meeting to say goodbye sounds like the right thing to do. let's meet and make peace with the past, so we can both move forward with our lives." as she hit send, sophia felt a sense of bittersweet relief wash over her. it wouldn't be easy, saying goodbye to someone who had once meant so much to her, but she knew it was the first step towards a brighter future for them both.

alex reads the reply from sophia, he could feel his heart breaking, he felt like an absolute idiot. but he did miss her a lot and he was struggling, alex could see sophia in everything, she was always there, a constant reminder of how he fucked up. he sighs, letting out a shaky breath, looking down at his phone, " you're right, i know. i just can't seem to accept that. it's tough". sophia was right, he did need to let go of her, he needed to move on, this wasn't healthy for either of them, it was just causing more pain. maybe, if he saw her for one last time and made peace with her that way, he could finally start the process, "i get it. i shouldn't put you in that position. yeah, but that seems so difficult at the moment, it feels impossible" he hits send, sitting back for just a second, "i'd like that. it'd be good to see you again, for one last time" that was it now, he'd sent the text, he needed to commit, he was going to get over her, no matter how hard it was.

Voice Headcanons

Papyrus - Darby Cupit. No explanation needed. Darby Cupit.

Sans - A mix of Steel and paper-mario-wiki, just a lot more soft-spoken. He has a small, barely noticeable accent and is prone to mumbling.

Undyne - Deep, but not too deep. Kinda raspy at times, especially when she shouts or does her battle cry. When she's calm, she just has your standard, tomboyish voice, maybe with a slight accent.

Alphys - I kind of picture her sounding like Sadie from Steven Universe... Or Sarah Stiles.

Chara - Not particularly masculine or feminine, though I'm thinking Sophia Anne Caruso's version of Lydia from the Beetlejuice musical works for them. Though I'm mainly only thinking about their singing voice there. (I really like musicals...)

Frisk - Ah! Now this one! They're... well, their voice isn't particularly masculine or feminine either. It's like a smooth balance between the two. My version of Frisk is very outspoken and frankly, um... big-headed, so to speak, so they tend to project a LOT. They're either really hamming it up or very flat, there's no in-between.

My due date with our newest little one is fast approaching and we couldn't be more excited. Because he or she will be a "tiebreaker baby" we've decided to hold off on finding out the gender, but I can't say I haven't been tempted to sneak a peek! sophia felt her heart constricting in her chest as she listened to his plea, his words heavy with vulnerability and longing. a part of her wanted to reach out to him, to wrap him in her arms and reassure him that everything would be alright. nut another part, the part hardened by years of disappointment and heartache, held her back. "i can't," she whispered, her voice barely above a whisper, the weight of her words hanging heavy in the air between them. "i can't keep pretending that everything is okay when it's not." her gaze softened as she met jett's eyes, the pain reflected in his gaze mirroring her own. ''i know you could be better," she continued, her voice trembling with emotion. "but it's not just about you, jett. it's about me too." she swallowed back the lump forming in her throat, the tears threatening to spill over. "i can't keep waiting for you to change, hoping that one day you'll be the person i need you to be." the truth of her words hung between them like a barrier, separating them from the possibility of something more. she could see the hurt in his eyes, the desperation to make things right, and it tore at her heart. but she knew deep down that she couldn't sacrifice her own happiness for the sake of someone else's. "i'm sorry," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the pounding of her heart. "i wish things could be different, but they're not." and with that, she turned away, her footsteps heavy with the weight of what could have been, leaving him standing alone with his shattered dreams.

this was the first time that he’s ever really felt like this towards anyone. all of his life he was convinced that love wasn’t the thing for him, that it was only part of the fairytales that was never a reality. especially with how screwed up his parents were, it only lead to him being the way he was. his eyes darts over towards her features, a pain look taking over his features. “don’t say that.. i could be better.. better for you.” he mutters softly, trying to get her to see that he wasn’t all too bad. words were like shards of glass cutting through him piece by piece, not wanting to lose the one person that makes him feel sane. “please, sophia.”
