This is wrong.

The feeling of being alone (= allein) even when you're with other people is Einsamkeit (= loneliness, einsam = lonely)

Zweisamkeit is when two people are spending time together, often in harmony and sometimes even romance, without being disturbed by other people.

As you might notice:

vs.

zweisamkeit (2-sam-keit) -> being with one other person

i would say the cracking of the souljam and loss of power is very possible for the other beasts! the amnesia however is a Very special case of pure vanilla fucking up the spell he cast

but then this is where they separate because shadow milk doesn't feel at fault, he doesn't remember doing all those things, he doesn't even know who that was! you want me to grovel forever about it? pathetic, what's done is done anyways, why not try to do something now?

white lily absolutely despises that mindset as she's competing with pv over who can hate themselves more, and she is winning. she thinks they both deserve to repent forever for their crimes but is constantly reminded of the fact that she remembers but shadow milk doesn't! she knows what she did, why she did it, it was bad and terrible, but she understands and that's what's important and she must repent for it

shadow milk doesn't know, he doesn't know anything at all and theres even more that they can't tell him as he's apparently been evil for centuries. it's hard to argue that he needs to feel bad when the personalities are truly separated.

......i went on a ramble again.

he doesn't feel bad about what he did but he is in fact, very unnerved that he may be capable of those actions again, and with pure vanilla trying to teach him to be good and kind its...... panic inducing sometimes, that maybe he can do something terrible again, that the evil is possibly just lurking under the surface and hes fooling himself and everyone around him

i have decided to break my lack of original posting on this blog to bring you my Thoughts on Rot in Paradise. because i played it as soon as i got up this morning and i have scoured for some opinions after finishing it, and now i have my own!!

(and also i posted this on twitter but twitter has such a Shit wordcount that i'm also posting my things here with More Detail)

so! spoilers under the cut, please go and play the game if you haven't. it takes literally an hour (it only took nearly 2 hours for me because i like voice acting by myself and exploring every nook and cranny) and it's also free. so maybe come back into the tag once you're done.

okay, so i noticed quite a number of people being confused and disappointed on the lack of an explanation for the monster. it's brought up in the story as the central thing driving the plot, but it's never explained on what "she" is, why she's compelling people to eat a ton of fish-related food or hell, metal, and why this doesn't impact June at all.

but you know what I think?

i think that that's the point. the focus of rot in paradise isn't supposed to be on the monster.

yeah, it's the thing that pushes the plot along besides June and the gang going on vacation in this island. it's what's causing that uneasiness from the moment that guy grabs June's arm at the drinks, to the sheer unnerving feeling of witnessing people going to the ocean to get Raptured basically. i know i personally felt a chill when i saw that one dude literally eating chains and the other hauling an anchor, as if they're trying to make themselves heavier so they get taken by whatever She is.

but that's not the main point! the main conflict is about June and her friends.

as people have pointed out, this game is about toxic friendships and relationships! it's foreshadowed in the conversation that June has with the gang about her cousin (which i will also get into), and it carries it through the way her friends are horribly warped by this ocean Creature. June goes on a silly little vacation trip with her friends only for them to become so so different from themselves that they lash out at her and even hit her in McCoy's case.

but she still sticks it out with them. through the whole game, even despite their verbal abuse, despite being slapped, despite them being people that she can hardly recognise. she stays with them for the whole game, up until the point where you are given the two options at the very end. and she could still stay with them.

because they're still her friends. she cares about them even if they still hurt her. from the way June still tells Carmen to tell June if she needs anything after Carmen literally tells her to shut up and leave, the way June worries about Vonnie eating seafood even though she continues to stuff herself despite being implied to either hate or make an active choice to not eat seafood, to the way June still trudges out to sea screaming for McCoy to come back to the shore as he wades further in even after he slapped her until her nose bled.

it mirrors the conversation about her cousin, the reason for why June was looking forward to the vacation. that while she did comfort her cousin through all of it, June clearly says that "they were dickheads, and she should have ditched them a long time ago".

but it's funny, isn't it? that June, an outsider to her cousin's friend group, easily sees the pain that her cousin's friends are causing her, and immediately calls it as it is. that her cousin should have left the second they hurt her.

and yet now, when her friends hurt her, even though this was a quick and sudden change that happened in a span of three days, June still sticks around. her friends are dickheads right now, and we can see that in the way they interact with June, but she still stays.

because they're her friends. and how could she just leave them like this if it's something that's causing them to be this way?

so no, i don't think the monster is supposed to be the main picture. we don't need to know what it looks like, or why it needs to do this to the islanders, or how it's even doing it in the first place. it adds to the scariness of the game, as per the Spooktober Game Jam, sure, but that's not the point. might be a bit disappointing to some, but that's not the point.

the point is about June, and the choice that she needs to make at the end of the game.

it's a choice on whether she chooses to be pulled deeper into the tides and be with the friends who hurt her and will continue to hurt her in this way,

or to leave them to their fates, whether deserved or not, and resurface to a world where she's alone without her friends.

and even though the first choice hurts much more in the long run, doesn't the second hurt even more in the moment? knowing that you're alone at the end of all of this?

even if it is the right choice, i'm sure the pain must be unbearable in the moment.

where’s the tension between odile and the group because one side her biological family was never there for her and she doesn’t want to follow in those footsteps and latch onto something that might not last.

where’s the anger filled outbursts with bonnie and the rest of their family because everything is sugar coated towards them and they can’t help anybody if they don’t know what’s going on?

and where’s the moments where everyone has to realize that just because siffrin’s come to terms with all these facts and nuances about them and their lives doesn’t mean they have.

I hate that the braindead takes on Firefly from people who can't read are spreading to the people who do actually pay attention to her character, cause now a bunch of people who loved her before are saying she's nothing but waifu bait and has never been anything else.

Her relationship with the Trailblazer is only a small part of her character, she has way more going on with her than just that. 'Take away Sam and then she's just a generic waifu'. Yeah no shit, if you take away a characters whole story there's nothing left there, funny how that works.

Why are people acting like TB is the only thing her character has going for it, when she's got the whole Glamoth lore and Stellaron Hunters and her own personal goals and motives that have nothing to do with TB.

You guys are the ones reducing her down to just a waifu, not the game.

This is probably one of the longest fics I’ve ever written on here it took me 3 days to write lol

Pairings: Vampire!Peter Steele x Innocent!Fem!Reader

Warnings: absolutely FILTHY, yes I mention how large he is a lot but I mean COME ON, reader is obviously smaller than him, reader is a virgin, bleeding during sex, marking, biting (hes a vampire duh), kidnapping, dub/non con, Peter being sexy idk, he lives in a gothic vampiric castle 😍

The day started out simple enough. You got up and went to the coffee shop before school. When you got your order and started to make your way out of the establishment, you bumped into a very muscular and very tall man. He was at least 6’8 with long black hair and beautiful green eyes. You felt a little nervous around him he was huge and albeit very majestic.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to see you there little mouse.” His deep voice said.

You cranked your neck to look up at him, “It’s okay it was just an accident.” You said, your voice sweet and soft.

“I just hope I didn’t hurt you. I’m Peter.” The raven haired man held out his large hand and you placed yours inside it. His larger hand practically swallowed your small one. “You didn’t I promise. I’m Y/n, it’s nice to meet you Peter.”

Peter shook your hand and let go, flashing you a smile before saying, “Well, I don’t want to keep you from wherever you’re going.”

“School. I’m going to school.” You smiled.

You bid your farewell before walking out of the coffee shop. Peter watched you make your way onto the streets of Brooklyn.

You were young, sweet, and innocent.

Later in the night, you were walking home from a long day studying at the library after school. You couldn’t wait to go home and fall asleep in your small but cozy bed, when you could’ve sworn someone was following you. But when you looked around no one was there so you shrugged it off.

As you continued walking you heard other footsteps behind you and they were getting quicker and quicker. You started to walk a little faster, before you were pulled into an alleyway.

Pressed against the brick wall of a building, you tried to scream but a large hand covered your mouth. “Don’t scream, darling. You don’t want to make this difficult for me.” The familiar deep voice said.

“Peter?” You asked, but it was muffled by his hand. Peter chuckled lowly, “Yes, it’s me, Y/n.”

“Let me go please. I don’t know what you want from me but…I only have five dollars in my pocket.” You said, trying to get your voice loud enough for him and anyone else to hear against his palm.

“Oh baby, I don’t wanna take your money. I just want you, my love. I think you’ll be the perfect bride for me.” Your eyes widened at his words. Bride?

Suddenly he opened his mouth and you screamed against his hand when you saw he had fangs. He’s a vampire.

“Vampire!” Was all you could muster out.

“You’re so smart, Y/n. Now let me mark you, make you mine forever.” Suddenly as he was about to mark you on your neck you wriggled out of his hold and started to book it down the street. Part of you wanted to see what was going to happen with the handsome man but the logical part of you told you to run.

So you ran, and ran. Thinking you lost him you took a little stop to catch your breath. But that happened to be the biggest-or best-mistake of your life. Because a strong arm hooked around your waist and lifted you up so easily. Peter snapped his fingers and suddenly you found yourself in a fancy dark black and red bedroom that looked like the inside of a castle.

“Where am I? Where did you take?” You cried.

“My castle. Well, it’s our castle now my love.” He was so calm about this.

You pushed him with all your might but it didn’t seem to do anything. His eyes darkened and he grabbed your arms and put them to your side, “Behave.” He warned.

You felt a sensation in between your legs and was very embarrassed about it. Peter noticed you shift in attitude and chuckled, “Did that turn you on, darling? Me telling you to behave?”

You looked down at your feet, blushing. Not wanting to give him an answer. But Peter knew, he was a vampire after all and had advanced senses. He could smell your arousal.

The vampire tilted your chin up with his index finger, “I know you’re wet. I can smell it.”

Your eyes widened in shock and you tried to back away, but he roughly grabbed you and whispered aggressively in your ear, “Try and run one more time. You won’t succeed. I will always catch you.” It sent a shiver down your spine and you nodded slowly, tears pricking your eyes.

“Come over here baby.” Peter said and he less you to the black and red gothic canopy bed, sitting both of you down next to each other.

He caressed your face softly and leaned in to kiss you, passionately. You’ve never been kissed before so you didn’t know how to react but you tried your best. When the raven haired man pulled away he stroked your cheek, “You’re so beautiful. I knew you’d be the perfect bride for me.” There he went, using that word. Bride.

A dark evil smile took over him, “Now…where was I?” He retracted his fangs again and laid you down quickly so you couldn’t escape, and made the effort to put half-so he wouldn’t crush you to death-of his body weight to hold you in place when he licked a spot on hole neck before sinking his teeth deep inside.

You screamed in both pleasure and pain as he marked you. Mated you.

“Now you’re mine…forever.” He chuckled lowly before kissing you again, then moving down to your neck kissing the spot he bit. He ripped your shirt off with ease, along with your thin bra, exposing your breasts. The larger man groped the soft mounds in his large hands, tweaking your nipples in the process.

slowly realizing more and more that the sm boycott effort is gonna amount to nothing in the end, and this is not the way we should be going about the riize situation.

i loved seunghan when he was in the group, and i am still an ot7 fan. but at a point, i think we need to think of how much of our time and energy we're willing to spend fighting for something that has such a small chance of actually happening. sm is gonna bounce back from any stock lost from the boycott because they are one of the big 3. they have like 4 of the biggest groups in kpop rn: nct, aespa, red velvet, riize. there's just no way either boycotting riize or boycotting all of sm would actually be detrimental enough to get a member who's been terminated from the group back in.

and while i don't agree with the ot6 fans who are being unreasonable, i think some ot7 fans have been just as bad. this fandom is so toxic and rotten, every day it just seems to get worse. and i don't like the narrative that most ot7 fans were spreading about ot6 kfans-- how they were just mad that seunghan was dating pre debut. that isn't why they were mad, they really didn't care about that. it's the fact that he took pictures of him with his possibly/alleged underage girlfriend (it's honestly bad enough with/without her being possible underage, which i don't have confirmation on) at what looks like a hotel and presumably sent it to his friends in a group chat (which was how it got leaked). that's why they wanted him out of the group.

personally, i don't believe that a member should get kicked out of a group or put on hiatus without a proper reason why. and seunghan's hiatus and termination is really messy. but there are valid reasons why kfans weren't too big on him. the problem is there have been many idols kicked out for things they didn't do, and others who have been caught doing really fucked up and nasty things and rightfully kicked out of the group, but it's hard to know which idols are innocent or not when there's no organization. and when we jump on a narrative train and blow something super big out of proportion, the facts and proper investigation of the situation gets lost in the mess of things.

what should have happened was things being properly investigated back in october 2023 before seunghan was ever put on hiatus, and a decision made from there whether to keep him in the group or kick him out based on that.

instead, we have the other 6 members who clearly want seunghan back tired of the state of everything (rightfully so), ot7 and ot6 fans fighting a full blown war every day without logical thinking, and misinformation being spread left and right. there's no organization, there's no firm confirmation on anything, all of this is just such a big mess.

now let me be clear IF it's true that there was anything suspicious going on between seunghan and his girlfriend, then i would obviously no longer support him. as it is, i'm not going to stop supporting him until there's firm evidence. i'm tired of kpop stans making rash decisions based on half truths instead of just being patient and waiting for the facts to come out. staying neutral during unclear situations is a valid stance to take. please let's all stop jumping to conclusions from both sides.

I think a really underrated character duo in gravity falls is Dipper and Stan. Like one, I think they are way more similar than people give them credit for. Like Dipper is definitely the one who feels like the ‘inferior’ twin (internally on his part), something reflected in Stan. Also Dipper is generally pretty cunning and willing to throw punches in a Stan-way, you can see Stan rubbing off on him as the show progresses. Dipper in the Stan costume, and that one scene where Stan and Dipper both cross their fingers at the same time for the same promise, both live in my head rent free. In my heart of hearts I think Dipper picks up a bit of Stans con-man tricks in the future (and Mabel goes on some bonding missions w/ Ford, but this post isn’t abt them). Also I just want to say I bet Dipper reminded Stan of a young Ford and that informed some of their early dynamic. Anyway bye just needed this brainworm out

One of my favorite parts of phase 2 (and indeed one of the few moments I resonated with IDW Prowl) was when the neutrals were coming back to Cybertron and Prowl said that he refused to let Autobots be pushed aside and overruled after they were the ones who fought for freedom for 4 million years (the exact wording escapes me atm).

And I mean, that resentment still holds true even once the colonists come on bc like. As much as it's true that Cybertron's culture is fucked up, and as funny as it can be to paint Cybertronians as a bunch of weirdos who consider trying to kill someone as a common greeting not important enough to hold a grudge over.... The colonists POV kind of pissed me off a lot of times, as did the narrative tone/implications that Cybertronians are forever warlike and doomed to die by their own hands bc it just strikes me as an extremely judgemental and unsympathetic way to deal with a huge group of people with massive war PTSD and political/social tensions that were rampant even before the war?

Like, imagine living in a society rife with bigotry and discrimination where you get locked into certain occupations and social strata based on how you were born. The political tension is so bad there's a string of assassinations of politicians and leaders. The whole planet erupts into an outright war that leads (even unintentionally) to famine and chemical/biological warfare that destroys your planet. Both sides of the war are so entrenched in their pre-war sides and resentment for each other that this war lasts 4 million years and you don't even have a home planet any more. Then your home planet gets restored and a bunch of sheltered fucks come home and go "ewww why are you so violent?? You're a bunch of freaks just go live in the wilderness so that our home can belong to The Pure People Who Weren't Stupid And Evil Enough To Be Trapped In War" and then a bunch of colonists from places that know nothing about your history go "lol you people are so weird?? 🤣🤣 I don't get why y'all are fighting can't you just like, stop??? Oh okay you people are just fucked up and evil and stupid then" ((their planets are based on colonialism where their Primes wiped out the native populations btw whereas the Autobots and OP in particular fought to save organics. But that never gets brought up as a point in their favor)) as if the damage of a lifetime of war and a society that was broken even before the war can just magically go away now that the war is over.

Prowl fucking sucks but he was basically the only person that pointed out the injustice of that.

And then from then on out most of the characters from other colonies like Caminus and wherever else are going "i fucking hate you and your conflicts" w/ people like literal-nobody Slide and various Camiens getting to just sit there lecturing Optimus about how Cybertronians are too violent for their own good and how their conflicts are stupid, with only brief sympathetic moments where the Cybertronians get to be recognized as their own ppl who deserve sympathy before going right back to being lambasted.

Like I literally struggled to enjoy the story at multiple points because there was only so much I could take of the characters I knew and loved being raked over coals constantly while barely getting to defend themselves or be defended by the narrative so like. It was just fucking depressing and a little infuriating to read exRID/OP
