Went to a 1920s themed murder mystery party for my friends 30th birthday!
I had fun dressing up and vaguely attempting to play a character
I am a little disappointed in myself because he had a cool photo drop set up and I didn’t get a photo. I asked my BFF is he wanted one and he said he didn’t care, and instead of saying that I would like one (to which he almost certainly would’ve come and taken one with me) I just said okay. And know I don’t have a photo because I didn’t ask for one.
But I did have lots of fun putting the fringe on sequin dress to turn it into a flapper dress. And I got to drink more of my sparkly purple cocktail left over from my birthday which was great.
And then the next morning me and the boy went to see the little mermaid 😊 he had no interest in the movie but went because I wanted to see it. It was my favorite movie as a kid so it fun to relive the nostalgia and overall it was v cute, but I think I prefer the animated version. It was fun that they had new songs but they just weren’t as good as the originals. And flounder was quite frankly horrifying. But I still had a good time and I enjoyed the mermaids and all the scenes where they were exploring the island were really fun and delightful.
But then on the car ride back it was just really quite and when I would ask him things I would just get short or even one word answers and he wouldn’t ask me anything in return and just felt like trying to talk to a brick wall and it made me so sad. And then he collected his stuff my house and left and like as soon as I closed I burst into sobs. And just like full on cried for several minutes. And then found my self looking into trying to change my Japan flight, but I bought an un changeable flight so there’s nothing to do there. Because I was convinced that being that sad over nothing had to mean it was a sign that the relationship was over and completely doomed and that it was a sign that he no longer liked me.
And then several hours later I felt better about everything and back to day dreaming about how we’re going to be together. It’s so strange. Objectively everything is fine with the relationship. We hang out a couple of times a week, he’s super considerate and generally a really good boy friend, I still think he’s super attractive, wee still mostly have a good time together. It’s just sometimes a little quite. And he does leave the toilet seat up. But that’s it. That’s the list of complaints. But have had this nagging feeling sometimes that he likes me in spite of all of quirks (like he finds all the purple and glitter annoying instead of endearing) and not because of them. Like maybe maybe I’m just the hottest person he could get to date him so he’s settling for me. It doesn’t help that last fall I lost like ten pounds so when we started dating in January I was the smallest I’ve been in a while, and now I’ve very slowly gained back maybe three ish pounds. Which like in the grand scheme of things is nothing, but you can’t logic with insecurities.
Or maybe he’s just been super tired lately and I need to supportive and do more for him instead of him always doing things for me (he doesn’t legitamently Plan most of our dates, admittedly partly because he just cares way more about food places than I do). And that I should generally stop freaking out about nothing. But also if like half of our interactions make me cry that’s not a sign that things are working. Even if I can’t pinpoint exactly what, it’s not a good way to be.
Anyway the party was fun!
#1920s#murder mystery#and then boy ramblings#because everybody loves a good boy ramble#sigh#I mean clearly I need to communicate more#or better somehow#but it feels so hard when it feels like he doesn’t want to communicate back#and getting him to actually tell me anything is like pulling blood from a stone#or so it feels#and then I just ask about frisbee because then he’ll actually talk#but I do not want to talk about frisbee all the time#and it feels like I’ve just committed to at least trying until after we go to Japan together in November#and then maybe I just call it a day#if you barely want to talk to me what are we even doing

FREEZBEES — II you killed someone (queued)
WORD COUNT 0.4k
CW mentions of violence and death (nothing major, matthew just got hit by a frisbee)
Matthew hurried his way to his school's gym after Jiwoong had told him that he was supposed to be playing frisbee. He was lucky since his house was only two blocks from his school, but the only problem was that he neglected to wear his left shoe. He ignores the idea that he's sprinting around the streets with a shoe on, but who can blame him? He’s seeing the girl of his dreams.
He finally arrives at his school's gates and dashes to one of the gym's doors. He accidentally smacks his friend with the door as he opens it, but he instantly gets drawn in by him. "I can’t believe you actually forgot that you joined a club," Jiwoong says as he chuckles. Matthew takes his jacket off and throws it on a nearby bench.
He looked around the gym for Haejin, but she was nowhere to be found. "Where is she?" he asks. Jiwoong scans the gym and scratches his head. "Dunno." He glances at her friends and points subtly at them, "but her friends are there." Matthew sighs and sits down on the bench. Jiwoong pulls him up and shoves a frisbee in his hands. "You’re supposed to be playing frisbee, not stalking Haejin," Jiwoong says, muttering the last part.
Matthew gets in stance and throws the frisbee at Jiwoong with his forearm. They toss it back and forth until Matthew loses focus and gazes around to check if Haejin is there. He sees her walk out of the changing room and run over to her friends. He feels his heart swelling up, and he suddenly forgets all about the frisbee being thrown at him.
The frisbee falls to the ground next to him, and Jiwoong goes over to grab it. "You should man up and talk to her; maybe invite her to play with you," Jiwoong suggests as he spins the frisbee with his finger and tosses it to Matthew. He lightly pushes him, and Matthew slowly walks toward her. He takes a deep breath and walks faster. As he’s inches away from her, he hears a voice yell out to him, "Watch out!"
WHACK.
Matthew falls to the ground after getting hit by a frisbee in the face. His vision starts to get blurry, and eventually, everything turns dark. The last thing he heard was his peers calling for a nurse. "You killed someone, y/n!" a voice yelled out before Matthew fully lost consciousness.

🗣️ SONA SPEAKING i found this chapter funny i don’t know why
< SYNOPSIS > sunny days have arrived, and having matthew’s classmates drenched in sweat from sports is not what he needs. it’s not until he gets a text from his friend saying they both have to go to a club he doesn’t remember signing up for. by the time he gets there, there’s the pretty girl from the other class chucking plastic plates at her friends. right, he joined the frisbee club as a joke because his crush signed up. at least he’ll get to eat flavoured ice sticks with her.

*throws this at you*
for the oc/canon ask game :
💕 for digivalen
😑 for axyl/zhouxing
and 🕊️ for any of them. hopping in place
*catches it in my mouth like a dog with a frisbee*
💕: Who confessed first and how? Did it go as planned or did shenanigans ensue?
juno was very much the first to make a move and you already KNOW that it went completely not according to plan. I imagine it’d be after he and kite have already battled at least once or twice, and in the middle of one of their battles she drops a “y’know, I’d really like to spend some more time getting to know you outside a stadium. What do you say?” and she does actually mean that sincerely- by this point they’ve taken interest in him and are actually trying to ask him out, but unfortunately for them, Kite does not trust the sincerity of that. Juno is not above using their cryptic flirting mid-battle to try and throw off their opponent so at this point kite’s just thinking “no, she’s just trying to catch me off guard again! Well I’m not falling for it this time!” and it takes juno several more attempts before kite realizes “oh shit wait I think they’re actually serious.” it’s also not unlikely that his friends would be like “fucking DUH he’s obviously super into you” and kite’s just like “WELL HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT I THOUGHT HE WAS JUST LIKE THAT.” and of course, kite unabara, ever prideful, upon their next meeting would try to spin it around on them to make it seem like it was his idea and juno, already too whipped at that point is like “oh but of course! It’s an honor to be able to go on a date with Mr. Perfect, Kite Unabara himself!” and they are stupid and cringe and I hate them /affectionate
😑: How easily do they get jealous and how do they handle it?
Oh this one is fun because they both get jealous occasionally but in very different ways. With both of them, it’s not too often- with Axyl, Zhouxing is very popular and they know that so they kinda just get used to him getting a ton of attention, and on Zhouxing’s end, he’s just generally pretty chill and able to regulate his jealously most of the time, but both of them have their moments. Axyl just gets. kinda sad actually when it happens. They have a habit of shutting down and separating themself when they feel any kind of negativity so if like, Zhouxing’s getting a little too much attention for aer liking and it’s feeling kinda overlooked, he’ll usually break off for a minute to cool down until Zhouxing comes back to them, and usually they can talk it out and Zhouxing takes care into being a little extra affectionate and attentive for the time being. Meanwhile for Zhouxing, he tends to get a little petty and smug when he gets jealous. 90% of the time he’s not possessive at all and just generally pretty chill, but in those rare moments where he feels like someone else is getting a little too close to Axyl, he’ll make a show of holding them extra close and being really cutesy to them while giving whoever else is annoying him an intense glare. Axyl doesn’t tend to realize it at first but once he does and he brings it up, Zhouxing usually ends up pretty embarrassed about it and apologizes. Axyl won’t say it directly, but he really doesn’t mind that much.
🕊️: Give just a general domestic tidbit for em (things they like about each other, routines, habits, and just overall sweet stuff)
weuhuhuehe im gonna just give one for each so as to not make this too long
digivalen like to cook together. a lot of times if kite finds juno by herself in the kitchen, he’ll come up behind them and wrap his arms around them and like, rest his chin on the top of their head.
Zhouxing is usually the one initiating affection and Axyl usually gets really stupid and giggly over that, but if axyl’s the one initiating, they tend to do it silently and without acknowledging it. Zhouxing will give him a little look whenever he does it and ae just completely avoids eye contact instead.
Essi is really attentive to a lot of the things that Selen says and does and Selen doesn’t realize this usually until Essi brings up something really specific that Selen brought up before and it catches her really off guard every time. It makes her feel really twisty and turny inside (pos) and she doesn’t know what to think about that
#mfb oc#axel’s silly little thoughts#punting them across the floor (lovingly)#I rlly wanna write a fic about Juno’s numerous attempts to ask kite out but we’ll see if that idea ever actually leaves my head#who knows maybe one day#jealous zhouxing is very silly to me#he thinks it’s totally uncool to be overly possessive but suddenly he sees Dan and reiki with axyl and it is on SIGHT#axyl de la cruz#fleetingspirit#juno aimoto#digivalen#essi de la cruz#selessi

eren jaeger relationship hcs
eren’s turn! modern relationship hcs. nsfw under the cut as per usual <3 levi ver.
really clingy. when ur away on a trip or something, he definitely cuddles your pillow and buries his head in it. might also spray your perfume on his hoodie so he can be reminded of you throughout the day (as if you aren’t already on his mind 24/7)
on that note, LOVES seeing you in his clothing. i feel like for most guys this is true and people mention it all the time, but eren especially. it makes him feel mushy and horny at the same time (more on that later) bc it just drapes over your shoulders perfectly. like he sees you and has to suck in a breath and look away to collect himself or else he’ll just become a puddle on the floor
likes hearing verbal affirmations. when you compliment him, tell him you’re proud of him, he gets all warm and fuzzy inside. it means so much coming from you and he knows you're genuine
really goofy, this is to be expected - tries to get you to laugh bc it raises his self esteem and confidence. he just likes looking at you being happy and smiling, it makes him feel so warm inside
definitely hides behind corners when he hears you walking or coming down the stairs so he can jump out and scare you. don’t worry though, because he always proceeds to hug you and kiss your forehead or temple to say he’s sorry but only kind of bc ur reaction was priceless. the little whack u give his arm in annoyance? he lovessss it bc it’s like he knows u still love him even when he is a little obnoxious
eren is definitely one of those enemies to lovers kind of guy bc he desperately wants someone to love him not necessarily in spite of his flaws, but with his flaws. he needs u to acknowledge that he’s far from a perfect person but still love him regardless
his favorite kind of dates are park dates. he likes going on warm & sunny days to throw a frisbee around with you in the open fields. i feel like he’s a basketball guy so he’ll bring you onto the court and play knockout... when he loses, will tell you he let you win on purpose for the sake of his ego
lolll imagine him critiquing your free throw form or something and coming up behind you to fix it (it wasn’t actually that bad, he just wanted an excuse to be near you)
really needs physical touch. he’s the kind of guy who will always be in contact w you in some way or another. when driving, his hand will be on your thigh or holding yours on top of the center console, same for if you’re out at restaurants but under the table. he’d definitely try and play footsies with you if you’re sitting across from him rather than beside him. when sleeping, he holds you really tight and won’t let you roll over so you better just get comfortable.
doesn’t mind being ur photographer and taking pics for you. he takes some time to learn the methods for the best pics but he eventually gets it
this is kind of random but when playing minecraft, he always blows up creepers and never fills in the creeper holes :| sorry. to make up for it he’ll get you music discs. also likes just going on little adventures to find a sand biome two thousand blocks away and just walking with you in game
on this topic actually i LOVE the idea of gamer bf eren. like not the league-and-monster-drinking kind but sumn about him in a headset and sitting at the edge of his bed... but he’ll definitely teach you how to play shooter games and will be so nice about it, won’t get mad at you, will give you little kisses when you’re not doing well and getting frustrated, and if you’re playing in online lobbies together he’ll stick by you the whole time and carry you
always sending you tiktoks & tries to get you to do all the trends with him. they never go viral but he goes back and watches them when he misses you
i peg him as a cat guy! really good with animals in general. i think most people would expect him to be a dog person since he can be loud and rowdy and excited, but on an emotional level i think he also just likes to be calm and relaxed and would get along with cats well. also teases you when animals reject you for him.
definitely writes about you in his journal. he jots down funny things you say or do or moments you shared so he never forgets any of them, and when he misses you he’ll read through them :( imagine when you’re so much older and he has documented proof of his love for you back when he was young please it makes me cry
also writes down little poetic words or things that remind him of you. he’ll hear a quote in a movie or a book or a song that instantly makes you pop into his head and he just has to write it down. he’s probably tried writing poems or songs about you, but he keeps those really secret because he’s embarrassed
this is kind of random but i think he’s a total beach person! likes going to spend days in the sun, builds sand castles and asks for your rating, drags you into the water to swim with him, will dive under and grab your ankles to freak you out, also looks really good in swim trunks but that's besides the point
he hates to see you upset and tries to cuddle the sadness out of you. when needs be, he’s a really good listener and doesn’t mind letting you just vent. when you cry, he pulls you in for a really tight hug and cradles your head - also because if he sees you crying, he’ll start to cry too because he genuinely feels for you
tries his best to take care of you when you’re sick. not really a good cook or anything, but he’ll make you a grilled cheese or a pop tart, albeit a little crispy even though it’s his third attempt. doesn’t mind being near you and isn’t afraid of getting sick so he’ll cuddle you anyway
loses focus when you’re talking to him sometimes but it’s not because he’s not listening, it’s because he just gets caught up in staring at you and how you look when you talk bc he just adores you. when you snap him out of his, he always gets all red and blushy :(
nsfw under the cut (18+)
really likes sending & receiving nudes/lewds. he always goes for the torso selfie to show off his chest/abs when sending, and it doesn’t matter to him what you send back because he’ll like anything you have to offer
and his responses aren’t lame either. NOT the type to send you a thumbs up or a “ayo you sexy as hell fr doe” - he will hype you up with dirty talk because he seriously means it. honestly might just send you a voice message, or call you if you’re alone and available bc while he might look at pics of you from time to time for aesthetics, the majority of the time he’s jacking off
so you know how i said he likes seeing you in his clothing? he especially likes nudes of you in his clothes. send him a pic wearing his zip up hoodie & nothing else and he’s yours
he prefers being in control/being on top but doesn’t mind if you want to take the reigns every once in a while
throws his head back and groans when u give him head. that's the image.
one of his favorite positions is when you’re in doggy but he pulls you up by the arms so your back is against his chest. he’ll snake a hand around to rub tight little circles on your clit, might put his hand around your throat if you like it. heavenly.
reallyyyy dirty mouth omg. asks sooo many teasing questions, likes hearing you say his name. “you like that, princess?” “louder for me” “who’s making you feel this good?” ugh and it’s not awkward either he makes it sound so good
has a lot of energy and a lot of stamina. stroke game will make you pass out, he’s so smooth and sets such a rhythm with his hips
things that get him going: kissing under his jaw, especially up by his ear. sucking his fingers. tugging on his hair. running your nails down his back.
pins your thighs to the bed when he eats you out. likes to make you squirm and loooves to edge you. super teasing in every way
can we just talk about his voice for a sec... he has the prettiest moans and isn’t afraid to let you know how he’s feeling. when you’re in missionary, he’ll hold himself up with one elbow, hold your hand with the other, and will lean down to moan right in your ear. sometimes does it on purpose bc he knows it turns you on from how you clench around him
usually has a death grip on that sensitive spot between your hips and your waist so he has something to hold on to while he pounds you
when he cums, he 100% buries his face in the crook of your neck, might even bite down from time to time
can totally see him going harder if he knows there’s people around, he doesn’t care who it is that’s outside the door but they’re gonna hear how good he’s making you feel whether you like it or not
wants to see your face when you cum. will definitely tell you to cum for him and keep your eyes open when he’s really feeling it - your expression makes him nut so fucking hard lawwddd
daps u up after sex just cause he’s weird like that lol

hiii i've just spent the last 36-48 hours reading your works and oh dear do i lOVE your writing and this universe :') . i dont know if you are taking requests but i think it would be kinda interesting (and low key hilarious) if you would write the lions reacting/reading thirst tweets? idk if this is a dumb idea or not but just like some of them reacting to them and going "well i'm actually gay/married so.. no!.. but thank you!"
Part two of the six-month celebration, everyone! Thank you thank you THANK YOU to everyone who submitted comments--I had over 60 come in, and while I couldn’t include them all, reading them was a true joy. The Lion Pride channel was something I started writing on a whim; I never expected it to grow like this <3 Much love to all of you!
TW for alcohol mentions and thirst tweets (nothing explicit)
“Why do I always fear for my life around you?” Sirius asked as Marlene settled into a cushy chair to the side of their table.
She smiled, catlike, and crossed her legs primly. “Because only Finn appreciates me.”
“That’s just the Aries connection, Cap,” Finn said with a smug grin.
“We’re both Leos, Harzy.”
“Eh, close enough.”
Remus raised an eyebrow at her. “You should probably start asking questions before this devolves further, Marley. He’s gonna keep digging himself a hole and we won’t get anything done.”
Marlene’s smile returned with a vengeance. “That’s where you’re wrong, Loops! We’re not doing any questions at all today.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“Read it and weep.” She tossed a small posterboard at him like a frisbee; he caught it, barely, though both Talker and Sirius had to duck out of the way. Marlene faced the camera and winked. “Welcome back to Lion Pride, everyone! Today I’m here with Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, James Potter, Thomas Walker, and our wonderful cubs to react to your comments on our videos!”
“Bet you thought we’d never see ‘em, huh?” James asked.
“The comments fall into four categories: thirsty, funny, mean, and sweet. I will be reading two of those groups, and my lovely fiancée will be reading the others because she is the human embodiment of sunshine.”
“If you make Dorcas read the mean ones, I’ll be sad,” Leo laughed.
Marlene gave him a look of disbelief. “You think I’m passing up a chance to roast you guys? Puh-lease. We’re starting off strong with some thirsty, thirsty comments! Loops, you’re up first.”
“This is going to be fun,” Sirius said, leaning back in his chair.
She cleared her throat, then turned a smoldering look on their table. “I didn’t know I had a freckle kink, but then Remus Lupin appeared and now here we are.”
“Oh, shit,” Remus muttered, covering his face with his hands as the others howled with laughter.
“Lupin has been looking sexy as hell on the bench for years now. I'm so glad people are simping over him like he deserves,” Marlene read. “And there’s a little heart emoji, just for you.”
“This is every one of my nightmares come to life,” Remus said, though his voice was muffled by his forearms.
James lifted his glasses to swipe away the tears of mirth that had gathered in his eyes. “Are you kidding? This is everything I have ever wanted.”
“Y’know, it is so good to see people drooling over this hot piece of ass at last,” Finn sighed, reaching over to ruffle Remus’ hair as his face turned bright red.
“One more, and it’s a good one,” Marlene warned. She licked her lips, then had to take a moment to laugh before speaking. “I feel like Remus Lupin is the type of guy to bake you muffins—”
“Accurate,” Leo said.
“—but is also a kinky motherfucker.”
Remus’ mouth dropped open as the table erupted into cheering. Logan pumped both fists in the air and Sirius was laughing so hard no sound came out; Talker sank so low in his chair that only his head and shoulders were visible as he applauded.
“Why do people comment these things?” Remus asked, barely above a whisper. “Holy fuck, I’m engaged!”
“Speaking of…” Marlene raised her eyebrows and Sirius smile drooped.
“Oh, no.”
“Oh, yes. Buckle up, Cap!” She rolled her shoulders out. “Get someone who looks at you the way Sirius Black looks at a hockey puck.”
Remus snorted; James’ laugh was so short and sharp that it set everyone else off as well. “That sounds like I have a hockey puck fetish!” Sirius complained. “Which is so, so not true!”
Finn made an ‘ehh’ noise, and he leaned around Remus to smack the back of his head. “Hey!”
“Next one!” Marlene announced. “Sirius Black was my bi awakening.”
A beat of silence passed. “Is that it?” Sirius ventured, looking nervous.
“Yep.”
“Aw, man, that one’s lame,” Talker said, shaking his head. “Everyone thinks Cap is a little hot.”
Remus shot him a look. “A little?”
“Fair. Marley, I dare you to find one person who wouldn’t tap that.”
She rolled her eyes. “Me, though that dovetails nicely into the last one for our lovely captain. Ahem. I understand why Remus is with Sirius: he's hot as hell and rich, I'd hit that too.”
“Oh, fuck, you’re right,” Leo gasped. “Why didn’t I think of that?”
Finn and Logan turned to him in unison with a mix of disbelief and offense written all over their faces. “Dude.”
“First of all, Leo, you found yourself two hot rich boys,” Remus interrupted. “Second, that comment is forgetting that he’s funny, and smart, and nice, and—”
Seconds after the initial cover, Sirius took his hand off Remus’ mouth as if he’d been burned. “Did you just lick me?”
“Moving on! This is in all caps, so be prepared.” Marlene shuffled through her posterboards and turned to Leo with an ominous smile. He glanced toward the camera in mild fear. “What does a person have to do to get some hockey player ass?! Like why is Leo Knut so fine?!”
“Amen!” Logan called as Leo blushed.
“According to six of the seven people at this table, the answer to that first question is to be a hockey player,” Talker laughed. “The world may never know the answer to the second, sadly.”
“Lily could play hockey,” James said, resting his chin on his hand. Every single one of the others rolled their eyes. “She could! She’d be so good at it, too.”
“We know,” Finn groaned. “You only mention it every other day.”
“Speaking of the lovely Mrs. Potter,” Marlene began with a sly look as she held up a new card. “Do James and Lily Potter need a third? Asking for me specifically.”
James paused, dumbstruck, while the others drummed their hands on the table. “…no?”
A general sigh of disappointment went up. “I was really hoping he’d say yes,” Leo said.
“Ask Lily next time,” Remus recommended.
James turned to him and blinked slowly. “What are you insinuating, Loops?”
“Oh, nothing.”
“Don’t worry, James, you’ll like this one,” Marlene assured him. “James Potter is the ultimate dilf.”
“You’re damn right I am!” James whooped. “Vindication, bitches!”
“Marley, what have you done?” Talker whispered. “He’ll never shut up about that, now.”
“Oh, never,” James all but cackled. “I’m officially a dilf, you guys!”
“I hate you,” Sirius groaned.
“Tremzy, are you ready? We’ve got a couple very special ones for you,” Marlene said.
“Anything to get us out of this hell,” Logan begged.
“In that case: Logan Tremblay’s ass is better than Sidney Crosby’s. I said what I said.”
A pleased flush rose to his cheeks as Finn and Leo high-fived over his head. “Really? Thank you!”
“And they would be correct!” Finn announced. “Best ass in the league.”
“Come on,” Remus scoffed, though he was smiling.
Marlene cleared her throat to get their attention. “I don’t think I can legally read this on air without being censored or getting the video taken down, but…”
She turned the board around; all seven of them leaned forward to read it, then slowly looked at Logan, who turned vivid red. “Mon dieu. Is that—someone commented that on a video? Like, for people to see?”
“I feel like I need to bleach my eyes,” Sirius said just as Finn began shaking with silent laughter.
Leo’s face fell. “You wrote that, didn’t you?”
“I did,” Finn wheezed, scooting forward to fist-bump Marlene. “We wanted to see what you guys would say. Fuckin’ hell, your faces.”
“Alright, Talkie, are you ready?” Marlene asked around her laughter. “Seeing Thomas Walker with a baby makes me want to have his babies…please hit me up.”
He held up his index finger and took a second to laugh before responding. “If that’s Noelle, yes. If that’s anyone else, I’m flattered, but absolutely not.”
Logan made a face. “Ew.”
“We have two more,” Marlene warned. “For some very special people that aren’t here today, but I think you’ll like them anyway.”
Sirius narrowed his eyes. “I don’t trust the look on your face.”
“Daddy Dumo makes me swoon.”
A muddle of horrified noises echoed through the studio as all seven of them cringed. “Oh, my god, that’s my dad!” Logan yelped, covering his ears. Sirius looked vaguely ill and Remus’ shoulders crept toward his ears; James shuddered.
“The worst part is, we all know he can get it,” Finn said with a grimace. “God, I feel like I just heard someone talking about my parents having sex.”
“I’m sure he’ll love to hear that,” Marlene laughed. “Last one, from one of our truth or drinks.”
Remus went pale half a second too late. “N—”
“Hope Lupin is a milf.”
A broken noise escaped his mouth and he clamped his hand over it while Talker rubbed his back in sympathy. Sirius shook his head. “Somehow, that’s worse than Dumo’s.”
“Whoever sent that in, show some respect!” Leo said indignantly as Remus bonked his forehead against the table. “Hope Lupin is a lovely woman!”
“I think they noticed that particular fact,” Marlene pointed out, earning herself several scandalized shouts of her name and a whine from Remus. “That’s all we have for thirst comments! Are you ready for some funny ones?”
“Anything,” Remus pleaded. “I am begging you, anything else.”
Marlene shook her head as she stood, still smiling, and kissed Dorcas on the cheek when she entered the frame. “Go for it, love.”
“Dorcas!” they all cheered, lighting up immediately.
“Hey, guys, it’s been a while!” She curled up in Marlene’s vacant spot and took her own posterboards out from underneath the seat. “Alright, let’s rock and roll. Pascal Dumais is the team dad and nothing will change my mind, and Tremzy is the annoying youngest child.”
“That is so accurate,” Sirius laughed, leaning just out of range of Logan’s playful punch. “Whoever commented that has no idea how right they are.”
“We’ve got a whole sibling dynamic thing going on,” Talker agreed. “Tremzy’s the baby of the family, Cap is the quietly chaotic middle child, and Pots is the older brother that starts shit and inevitably gets blamed for however out-of-control it gets.”
Dorcas nodded. “You are one hundred percent correct. In a similar vein: Pots was the dad jokes friend before he was even a dad.”
“Painfully so,” Leo confirmed, shaking his head as they all groaned in agreement. James looked rather smug about the whole thing. “So many puns.”
“Oh, you’ll like this one,” Dorcas mused as she drew a new card. “If Tremzy looked directly into my eyes for even two seconds, all of my problems would be solved. I am sure of it.”
“Yes,” Finn and Leo said in unison.
“It’s something about the eyes, I think,” James added. “They just stand out so much that it’s a little startling straight-on.”
Logan looked to the camera and stared at it, unblinking; it zoomed in slightly on his face. “Everything will be fine,” he said with mock solemnity. “Your problems are solved.”
“Well, that was terrifying,” Sirius said drily. “Got any more for us, Ms. Meadowes?”
“Of course I do! We’ve got quite a few for Loops and Leo.” She took a sip of her water before getting comfortable again. “My favorite thing about these videos is that we can all see Loops get steadily buffer as the season goes on. Good for you, king!”
“Flex! Flex! Flex!” the six of them chanted; Remus rolled his eyes, but slid his sweater sleeve to his elbow and flexed his forearm, resulting in enough hoots and hollers that they could probably be heard a block away. Talker fake-swooned into Leo’s arms and Remus lightly whacked him on the shoulder.
“Remus Lupin looks like he has squishable cheeks,” Dorcas read aloud.
“He does!” James cooed, scooting over and reaching out.
Remus narrowed his eyes. “I swear to god I’ll bite you.”
Sirius cupped his face between his palms and kissed his nose, then pinched both his cheeks gently. “Ta-da!”
“How many of these do we have?” Remus asked, though his voice was a bit muffled by Sirius’ hands.
“Just one more for you, and it’s my personal favorite.” Dorcas assured him. “I love how the team probably had no impulse control until Loops joined.”
Sirius let go of his face and dissolved into laughter as Finn nearly fell on the floor. “Oh my—you think he has impulse control?” Talker slapped the edge of the table as he shook his head. “Absolutely not. Hell no, Loops is the first person to do stupid shit with us.”
“Yeah, I just don’t get caught,” Remus added around his own laughter. “Everyone thinks I’m such a hardass goody-two-shoes and it lets me get away with so much more than you delinquents.”
“Speaking of delinquents,” Dorcas continued. “This one is from our ‘Taste Testing Sexy Alcohol’ video: ah, yes, now I know how to do a body shot. 10/10, very educational video.”
“Do not take educational advice from us,” Finn blurted instantly. “I know this is a joke, but please exercise caution. That video was a ton of fun but a nightmare to recover from.”
Sirius winced at the memory. “I took two naps and then wished for death for a full day.”
“On a lighter note, who’s ready for some Knutty appreciation?” Dorcas smiled at her cards. “I've only had Leo Knut for a season and half, but if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.”
“Big mood,” four of them said simultaneously.
Leo turned to the camera with a concerned look on his face. “That’s a meme reference, but are y’all okay?”
“No,” Dorcas answered. “Especially not this next person: Sometimes I do something productive and then I remember @LeoKnut is a 19 year old professional athlete who radiates happiness and with two of the hottest boyfriends the good lord has made, and then my bowl of packaged ramen seems less impressive.”
“I’m proud of your ramen,” Leo said, even as the corners of his mouth twitched in a smile. “And I appreciate the note about my boyfriends, because they are definitely the hottest people the good lord has made.”
Talker stuck his lip out in a pout. “Rude.”
“Sorry, Talkie, I’m biased.”
“Last one before Marlene comes back, so you’d better enjoy it!” Dorcas announced. “Did the Lions effectively utilize girl power when they wrecked toxic masculinity, yes or yes?”
“Can we utilize girl power?” Remus wondered, resting his shin on his hand. “Isn’t that exclusively for, y’know, women?”
“We can utilize himbo power,” Finn suggested.
James gave him an offended look. “Not all of us are himbos!”
“Okay, but you definitely are.”
“I am not!” James held up his fingers to count. “There are only, like, three qualifications, right? I might be strong, hot, and respectful, but I’m not dumb so it doesn’t count!”
“Pots,” Remus said quietly, hiding his smile for half a second. “Buddy, that was four things.”
James paused, then sighed in resignation. “Ah, fuck, I’m a himbo.”
“You really are.”
“At least we don’t promote toxic masculinity.”
They raised their waterbottles in a ‘cheers’ motion as Marlene and Dorcas switched spots; Marlene stretched her arms over her head and grabbed the new boards. “I’m back, beloved himbos. Talker, Leo, you are beloved by the people and have no mean comments. Cap, we’re starting with you.”
“Are they actually mean mean?” he asked.
“Sirius Black seems like a little bitch. Not in a bad way, necessarily. He just. Seems like he'd be a little bitch."
Sirius raised his eyebrows. “Oh, okay. That answers one question.”
“He’s not a little bitch,” Leo said. “Pouty on occasion, but not a little bitch.”
Remus gave him a long look, then shook his head. “Yeah, I mean, you teared up a little when Hattie got a splinter in her paw but didn’t even yell when you almost sliced your finger off while making dinner.”
“Duality of man,” Finn said sagely.
Marlene cocked an eyebrow. “Finn O’Hara’s hair kind of reminds me of Garfield the Cat.”
“Alright, that’s just rude.”
“It does not!” Logan gasped at the same time Leo made a noise of agreement.
Finn turned to him in utter betrayal. “Nutter Butter, I thought you liked my hair!”
“I do!” Leo defended. “But they’re not entirely wrong. It’s very orange in the sun.”
“I’m never going to forget that,” Finn muttered, staring at the floor.
“Ugh, it bothers me so much that Lupin just objectifies Black all the time!” Marlene read in a high-pitched, nasal voice. “No respect in that relationship!”
Sirius raised his eyebrows. “Pardon?”
Marlene stared at it for a moment, then shrugged. “Yeah, I have no idea what videos they were watching. Do you feel objectified in your relationship, Cap? I know the opinion of total strangers really bothers you a lot.”
“I’m really glad you picked up on that,” he said with false gravity. “Yeah, it’s such a bummer when my hot fiancé says I look nice. Such a blow to my self-esteem.”
“That was supposed to be a roast against me,” Remus said, looking amused. “Talk about backfiring.”
“Are you ready, Pots? This one’s pretty brutal,” Marlene warned. James nodded and Finn linked their hands for moral support. “James Potter is a swiftie and you cannot tell me otherwise.”
He furrowed his eyebrows. “…yeah? That’s true? T Swift is a regular occurrence on the locker room playlist.”
“Also, James Potter looks like someone who would think black pepper was spicy.”
“Now that one is mean,” he complained as the others burst out laughing. “It’s not my fault I have sensitive taste buds!”
“Oh, honey,” she said under her breath as she took a new card. “Get ready, Tremzy. This first one is short and sweet: Logan Tremblay looks like a lesbian.”
“That is not an insult,” Logan laughed. “Every lesbian I know is rad as fuck. I wish I looked that good in a leather jacket.”
“I just realized Logan doesn’t look short cause he’s next to bunch of hockey players, he’s short cause he’s 5’9.”
The smile slipped off his face in a millisecond as the others roared with laughter. “Quoi?”
“Oh, she got you good,” Sirius gasped, patting his shoulder clumsily. “Holy fuck, can I frame that?”
“That’s not what it says.” An edge of distress appeared in Logan’s voice. “Marley, that’s not what it says.”
James sat on the floor with the heels of his palms pressed against his eyes. “You’re fucking—whoever sent that in, you are my new favorite person. Jesus.”
“Do you need a second to recover before we move on?” Dorcas asked as she draped her arms over the back of Marlene’s chair. “The next one is our biggest section by far.”
“It’s the sweet ones, yeah?” Leo asked.
“Right.”
“It might be a good idea to do those before Lo spontaneously combusts.”
“Agreed!” She swapped with Marlene and hauled a short stack of posterboards out from their hiding place with a smile. “A hug from Dumo can probably solve any issue.”
“Facts,” Logan said. “I could really use one right about now, too.”
“Has anyone noticed how blue Leo Knut’s eyes are?”
“Yes,” the six of them chorused.
Finn gave him a dreamy look. “Every single day.”
“When I first read this one, I thought I wrote it,” Dorcas said with a snort. “Someone give Marlene a raise. No reason why, I just love her.”
“Can we do that?” Sirius asked, looking toward the camera crew. “Can we lobby to give you guys raises? Because you definitely deserve it after all the bullshit you deal with to make these videos watchable, and Marlene, you’ve drawn the short end of the stick ninety percent of the time.”
“How?” she called off-screen.
“You have to actually talk to us and try to get answers.”
“Fair.”
Dorcas finished scribbling something down on her notepad. “Just making a note of this conversation for future reference. Moving on! Sirius Black and James Potter are a prime example of hockey husbands, and I adore them.”
“The ironic part of that is that we’re both in committed relationships, but we’re basically married,” James mused.
Remus shook his head. “You guys are so married. Lily wanted to get you matching rings for your birthday, Pots.”
“That would be so cool!” they said in perfect unison. Remus turned to the camera and spread his hands in a case in point motion.
Dorcas stifled her laughter before moving on. “This one is cute. Give Remus Lupin all the hugs! I feel like I could tell him he’s an inspiration and he’d be so nice about it—” She paused to glance up at them. “—this next bit is in parentheses: all the LGBT Lions give me that vibe, but Cap and Knutty are super intimidating so I wouldn’t have the guts.”
Leo’s face fell and Sirius’ eyebrows pitched. “I’m not intimidating!” Leo protested. “I thought we already went over that! Loops gives fantastic hugs, but I want some, too.”
“He definitely deserves all the hugs in the world, but I promise I’m nice,” Sirius said, a bit softer than usual. “Is it because we’re tall?”
Dorcas half-shrugged. “Probably. It’s a little startling at first. Oh, I could’ve written this one, too: The Venn diagram of men I trust and the Gryffindor Lions is a full circle.”
Talker beamed at the camera. “Thank you!”
“So many hockey guys are such douchebags,” Logan said with a shake of his head. “I’m really glad we don’t do that shit.”
“Me, too.” Dorcas slid her old card under her chair. “Sirius Black’s hair looks so soft and I just want to touch it so bad.”
“It is so soft,” Remus agreed immediately. “You have no idea.”
“Everyone wants to touch Cap’s hair,” Finn said, sighing. “It’s so majestic.”
“I need a haircut.”
“No, you don’t,” Remus said as he tugged a stray curl. Sirius hummed.
“This one is from the interview some you did with Jules and Katie: these hockey boys being so soft with kids is my aesthetic! Like, it’s just so adorable to see these big, intimidating dudes be so, so sweet! Love them all!” She turned the card for them to see. “And then they added a heart at the end.”
“It’s impossible to be around those kids and not be happy,” James said. “They’re just too cute and wonderful.”
“Yeah, I love kids.” Finn nodded. “Especially the Dumais and Jules. They’re a hoot.”
“Jules would die if he heard you say that,” Remus laughed. “The hero worship is still going strong with most of you.”
“This one made me laugh when I first read it, but it’s really sweet,” Dorcas informed them. “Anyone else feel like we were deceived these past five years into thinking Cap was this hard-ass man, when in reality he's a cuddle bug who definitely captures and releases spiders instead of squishing them?”
“You weren’t deceived, I was just closeted,” Sirius said. “Also, I absolutely squish spiders.”
Remus gave him a look. “No, you do not. That’s my job. I’m the catch and release person if I can get away with it.”
James shook his head. “The third week of practices you saw a spider and threw me at it.”
“You did what?” Finn asked.
“There was a spider in my stall,” Sirius sighed, looking as if he would rather be anywhere else. “And Pots and I were talking so I didn’t see it until I almost sat on it, and my brain decided the only logical thing to do would be to grab him and shove him toward the spider.”
“That was after you shrieked,” Talker added. “Like, literally shrieked. I’ve never heard anyone make a noise like that.”
“Alright, alright,” Sirius grumbled. “We get it, I don’t like spiders.”
Remus shrugged. “But you are a cuddle bug. They got that part right.”
“We’re in the final two!” Dorcas announced. “This one has some pictures to go with it, so it’s on my phone. Fuck Romeo and Juliet, I want what these bitches have.”
“It’s us!” Leo cooed as the phone made its way down the line. In the upper corner of the screen, the photo appeared—it had been taken in New York, and Logan’s whole face was alight with happiness as Leo and Finn each pressed a kiss to his cheek. The camera caught him mid-laugh, so his eyes were closed and his chin was tucked slightly into Finn’s Strand hoodie.
“That’s my screensaver,” Finn said with a grin, pulling his phone out and turning it toward the camera without moving away from Leo. “One of my favorites.”
“I forgot you took that one,” Logan murmured. He hooked his chin over Leo’s shoulder and kissed his cheek; the four others at the table gave soft are you seeing this? looks to the camera and Dorcas smiled.
“Pots, I think yours is next. I hate to break it to you, Talkie, but they didn’t get any of you and Noelle.”
“We don’t take a ton of pictures together,” Talker said as James took the phone. “I mean, we take a bunch of selfies, but we don’t live close enough to each other to actually post that often. What picture is it, J?”
James was staring down at the picture with an unbearably sweet expression. “It’s our wedding. That’s my favorite one, actually.”
Like Logan, they had been captured while laughing—Lily was bent slightly at the waist as James clapped, his glasses just as askew as the flower crown on her head. It was impossible to tell who had told the joke originally, but they were both radiant in the sunset.
“That’s a really good one,” Sirius said with an unreadable look on his face.
“Well, well, well, fancypants, you two got a video.” James wiggled his eyebrows and Remus leaned in to see.
“What kind of video? One of our tikt—oh. Oh, this is so cute.” He shifted his chair over as the short edit began to play. “D, who made this?”
“A fan.”
“It’s really impressive,” Sirius said without taking his eyes off the screen. The edit was a series of photos, both on and off the ice; Sirius knocking their helmets together, then Remus looking back over his shoulder, then both of them in the water playing chicken in the sun. It was a slideshow of their life and their love.
“Can you send that to me?” Remus asked when it was over. “Cause that’s super cool.”
“Sure thing. Are you guys ready for the last one?” When they all nodded, she drummed her fingers on the posterboard and cleared her throat. “Arthur appreciation hours. He deserves it after managing to control the team.”
A cheer went up—all seven stood and applauded, half-laughing and half-whooping. “Miracle worker!” Sirius called.
“Best coach in the league!” Finn added.
“Most tolerant man to ever walk the earth!” Remus raised his water in a toast and they tapped the plastic edges together, nearly spilling all over the table.
Dorcas’ eyes crinkled in a smile as she turned to the camera. “That’s it for today, Lions! Tune in next time for more content of our boys, and thank you for such wonderful comments!”

prompts: could you write an in canon verse (so like gods and stuff are real) fic with amnesia? it could be post TLO or it could be one of them coming out of anesthesia and feeling wonky. i just love a good memory loss fic.
@halfbloodcarrie was instrumental in making this happen!!! Her adorable fluffy idea was completely paid dust in favor of making this angsty as hell but I blame her for me getting it done at all <3
read on AO3
Everything was dark. And everything hurt. His head especially was throbbing, but he couldn’t make out any other feeling. He could hear something; vague at first, just a ringing. But if he struggled, and he did, he could start to make out faint voices. His eyes refused to open, they wouldn’t even blink, but the noises were getting clearer by the second.
“What if he doesn’t wake up?” a worried voice asked. Something about it felt familiar, but he couldn’t even pry his eyes open, much less figure out who it belonged to.
“He’ll wake up,” a second voice said, male this time. He sounded confident, assured. At least he thought so.
“There was so much blood, I thought… gods.”
The first voice again, though this time it wavered. It sounded scared, terrified even.
“He’ll be alright, Annabeth. He’s got a thick skull.”
That made the first voice laugh, watery as it was.
“Don’t I know it.”
Some feeling was starting to return to his limbs, slowly but surely. He tried blinking again, but it felt sluggish, slow. Suddenly he realized he could feel his arms and fingers, and there was a hand in his, gripping it so tightly it was a wonder he hadn’t felt it before.
“Percy?” the female voice asked, hopeful. He groaned. His head was pounding like nothing he’d ever felt before. Actually, he wasn’t sure if that was true, because he couldn’t remember his head pounding before, ever.
Come to think of it, he couldn’t remember anything at all.
He blinked again, this time managing to pry his eyelids open a fraction of a degree. The light streaming in hurt like a bitch, and he groaned again, closing his eyes.
“Percy,” the first voice said again, more frantically, “Can you hear me?”
She seemed to be talking to him, though he wasn’t quite sure. He couldn’t remember his name, but she’d said Percy twice, so that had to be it, didn’t it?
He tried to say something to the girl, but it came out as a strangled groan of pain.
“Will,” she said, a little desperately.
“He’s maxed out, Annabeth, I’m sorry,” the other voice said.
The girl (Annabeth?) muttered something under her breath in-- was that Greek? And how did he know that? More determined than ever, Percy blinked again, this time managing to crack his eyelids open and keep them that way.
His vision was blurry, but a few more blinks and the vague shapes in front of him started to sharpen into focus.
“Percy?” the girl said again. Percy squinted, trying to focus on her.
The first thing he noticed was that she was-- well, pretty didn’t quite describe it. She was seriously beautiful. Her eyes were a dark grey color, currently wide with concern, her hair framing her face in cascades of golden curls. Her nose was small and button shaped, dotted with freckles.
Even if Percy didn’t currently feel like a small blacksmith’s forge was hammering on the inside of his skull, he was pretty sure he would’ve been rendered pretty speechless.
“Hey there, sleepyhead. You were out for a while,” she said, smiling. She did look relieved, but Percy didn’t miss the genuine worry behind her eyes either, the little waver along her lips trying to maintain an upbeat expression.
“I… what’s going on?” Percy asked. Annabeth bit her lip, looking over her shoulder. Percy glanced upwards, properly seeing the other person in the room for the first time. He was a teenager, with shaggy blonde hair a shade or two lighter than the girl’s. He was wearing a white lab coat over what looked to be an orange t-shirt and jeans, which didn’t exactly instill Percy with a lot of confidence in whatever medical care he was receiving.
Of course, the fact that he had no memory didn’t help matters.
“You sort of got hit in the head,” Annabeth said, wincing as she did.
“Really hard,” the boy added.
Percy reached up tentatively, to the place where it felt like his skull was splitting inside out. Instead of skin he felt something else, some thick sort of fabric.
“Ow,” he said, a little unhelpfully. The girl smiled again-- crap, how was she even more beautiful when she smiled?-- but it still had an edge of sadness to it.
“Yeah. Discus accident,” she said.
“Discus accident?” Percy asked, confused.
“Yeah. Those stone frisbee things, remember?” the other guy said.
“No,” Percy said, pushing himself into a sitting position. It made his head throb, but he couldn’t stand lying down anymore. “I don’t-- I don’t remember anything.”
“You mean-- you mean you don’t remember the accident,” Annabeth said, a little forcefully. Her grey eyes flashed, and Percy didn’t quite recognize the expression, but something in his gut told him it was not good.
“No, I mean I don’t remember anything,” Percy repeated, figuring it was best to get it out of the way sooner or later, “I don’t know where I am or who you are or who I am.”
The girl took one very long look at him. He didn’t know what exactly he had said in particular that had triggered something in her, but the concern fell from her face in an instant. She dropped his hand, something sharp overtaking her expression.
“You’re such an ass sometimes,” she said. Her voice was a little thick, but Percy couldn’t tell if she was crying, because in the next second she stood and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. Inadvertently, Percy felt a twinge of something sad in his chest, though he couldn’t quite place why. He didn’t know Annabeth, but she clearly seemed to know him, and what he’d said had clearly set her off.
All of this was really not improving his headache, which had resumed its throbbing with reckless abandon.
“I didn’t mean to…” Percy trailed off. To what? Upset her? Make her run away? But all he’d done was tell the honest truth-- he couldn’t remember shit. The guy was giving him a look that was bordering on disgust.
“Dude, that’s really not funny,” he said. He sounded pissed, though if Percy wasn’t entirely mistaken, there was a hint of fear behind his bright blue eyes.
“I’m not trying to be funny, I literally don’t know what’s going on,” Percy said, starting to feel a little frantic. Why was everyone here acting like they knew him? And why did he not even know him? He felt nerves and something else tugging in his gut, an insistent, terrifying pull--
Without warning, the glass next to his bed shattered, spraying water and glass everywhere. Percy flinched away from the table, whirling around to look at the boy. His eyes were wide and surprised.
“What the fuck was that?” Percy asked, alarmed.
“That was… you,” the boy said, staring at Percy like he had just grown a second head, “Styx, you’re not making this up, are you?”
“How many times do I have to tell you that I don’t know what’s going on for you to believe me?” Percy said, still staring wide-eyed at the place where the cup had shattered. For his own sanity, he decided to ignore the boy’s declaration that he had caused it.
“Four, apparently,” the boy said, rubbing his forehead like he could feel a headache coming on, “Unless you want to make it five for good measure?”
“I have absolutely no memory,” Percy repeated.
“Great. This is just-- this is awesome,” the boy said, sighing heavily.
“Yeah, I’m having so much fun over here,” Percy said dryly.
“Right, sorry,” the boy said, wincing, “Your name is Percy.”
So Percy had guessed that correctly. Good to know.
“My name is Will,” the boy continued, oblivious to Percy’s thoughts, “The girl was--”
“Annabeth,” Percy finished. Will perked up, hopeful, but Percy shook his head.
“I heard you say her name,” Percy explained. Will deflated.
“Oh, right,” he said. He sounded inordinately disappointed, way more disappointed than he’d been when Percy hadn’t remembered him.
“How exactly did this happen?” Percy asked, doing his best not to rub his forehead again. Will sighed.
“Some newbies were messing around with the discuses on the strawberry fields-- which is stupidly dangerous, by the way, we have an arena for a reason-- but it went a little off course and almost hit Annabeth in the face. You shoved her out of the way but it clipped your forehead pretty good.”
Percy tried to process all that, piece by piece. He didn’t know what a newbie was, and apparently wherever this place was had strawberry fields that he and Annabeth had been in together? But the strangest thing of all was that Percy didn’t feel at all surprised that he’d gotten injured trying to get Annabeth out of the way. That piece felt strangely right to him, even if everything else was messy and confusing.
“So me and Annabeth are friends, then?” he asked. Will gave him a strange look, his face paling slightly.
“You guys… you’re close. Really close.”
Percy nodded. That made sense. He didn’t know why Will was being weird about it, but he believed him regardless.
“She was mad at me,” Percy noted. At this, Will winced.
“Yeah. Memory loss… it's kind of a sore subject for her.”
“Why?” Percy asked. Maybe it was a little invasive, but this was all stuff he was supposed to know anyway, wasn’t it?
Will sighed, rubbing his face in his hands.
“Gods, I’m so not the person to be explaining this to you,” he said, “But a few years ago you sort of… disappeared. And you lost all your memories. Except you remembered her. But it was really, really tough on her, she had no idea if you were gonna know anything or not when she found you.”
Percy blinked, trying to take all that in. He had a feeling that was the hyper-condensed version of what had gone down, but it explained the situation well enough. Annabeth hadn’t considered the fact that he genuinely wouldn’t remember her, so she’d assumed it was a bad joke. Percy wished it was a bad joke, because he would give absolutely anything to remember more about her.
“Got it,” Percy said, trying not to frown, “So how did I get my memories back last time? Can we do that again?”
Will grimaced.
“I think last time you drank gorgon’s blood, but we’re fresh out of that.”
Percy stared at him, unsure if he was joking or not. He looked serious, but Percy didn’t want to press it. Clearly last time had been a different sort of deal.
“So what do we do? I can’t go around like this forever.”
“Well, hopefully it's just temporary. Your head injury, plus the mortal pain meds we gave you, plus the nectar--”
“The what?” Percy asked.
“Don’t worry about it,” Will said, a little hurriedly. “The point is, your brain is processing a lot of stuff right now. My best guess is that it overloaded a bit, and the amnesia is a side effect. If that’s the case it should go away on its own eventually.”
“And if it’s not the case?” Percy asked, dreading the answer a little. As predicted, WIll grimaced again.
“It could be from the initial injury. In which case it would be… more permanent.”
Percy’s mouth went a little dry.
“Goodie.”
“It probably isn’t,” Will said, though he didn’t sound entirely convinced.
“So what do we do?” Percy asked again.
“You could try going to sleep. It might give your brain a chance to readjust, chill out a little. Or…”
Will trailed off, clearly unwilling to finish his thought.
“Or?” Percy prompted.
“Or we could try to jog your memory with stuff you might remember,” Will finished. Percy didn’t understand why this option seemed to be so unpleasant to Will, since it made the most sense to him. He felt disoriented as hell, and he was pretty sure he wasn’t going to be able to calm his mind down enough to sleep anytime soon. Plus, he was pretty sure he’d been unconscious for a good long while.
“How long was I asleep just now?” Percy asked.
“A while,” Will admitted.
“So let’s try the other thing.”
Will swallowed heavily, his fingers gripping the sides of his white coat a little too tightly.
“Yeah. Okay,” he said, still not sounding happy about it at all, “I’ll-- ugh. Don’t move, I’ll be right back.”
Percy did not move, mostly because he didn’t think he could get up from his bed if he tried. Being alone gave him the chance to observe the room he was in a little bit. It was small but clean, sort of a cross between a normal bedroom and a hospital unit. The walls were made of old looking hardwood, and if he craned his head back a little bit he could almost see out the window. It looked green out there, but it was kind of hard to tell.
Nothing about this place felt familiar, but that didn’t mean much, given nothing Percy had experienced since waking up felt familiar.
Nothing except for those few flashes of feeling he’d gotten about Annabeth, anyway.
Will was gone for a long time, a lot longer than Percy had been expecting. He couldn’t tell time very well and he didn’t see a clock anywhere, but it felt like Will had to have been gone at least half an hour, maybe more. Just when Percy was about to give up and try taking a nap, the door opened again. Will was there, but this time Annabeth was in tow too.
Percy tried not to read too hard into the fact that she didn’t look happy to be there. If he wasn’t mistaken, her eyes were puffy and red from crying, though now they were narrowed in barely constrained anger, her arms folded over her chest.
Will, for his part, looked extremely nervous. That didn’t give Percy a lot of hope about how this was going to go.
“It would probably work better if you could get up and walk around, but well…” he trailed off, but Percy knew exactly why that wasn’t possible. Just keeping his eyes open had been a struggle, and he was pretty sure if he tried to stand right now he was gonna black out.
“Yeah, sounds like a bad idea,” he agreed. Annabeth said nothing, just kept staring with her jaw clenched tight.
“I figured-- you know, you remembered Annabeth last time,” Will said, still sounding nervous, “And you guys have known each other for years, so if anything is going to jog your memory… well.”
“Okay,” Percy said, easily.
Annabeth remained silent.
“I’ll leave you guys alone,” Will said, looking like he absolutely couldn’t wait to get out of the room. He did a second later, slipping out the door and shutting it behind him.
Annabeth looked extraordinarily unhappy to be there. Any care that she had displayed for him when he first woke up was apparently gone. She said nothing as she looked at him with nothing but ice in her eyes.
He didn’t know why exactly she was so pissed-- it wasn’t his fault he couldn’t remember anything, and wouldn’t it be worse for him anyway? But she didn’t seem keen on speaking to him anytime soon, and Percy figured it was up to him to break the ice.
“So, um. Are you single?” Percy asked. It was dumb, sure, but he didn’t remember shit, and this girl was pretty and she seemed to care about him and well? Might as well shoot his shot.
Annabeth muttered something under her breath, something that sounded suspiciously like I’m going to kill you. Cool. Definitely did not make her hotter to him, not even a little bit.
“I’m not single,” she said, practically glaring at him.
“Got it. Sorry,” Percy said. For just a second her eyes ducked away, sadness replacing anger. But then she looked back up, and her previous expression was reinstated.
“Why don’t we just stick to you,” she said.
“Sure,” Percy said. He didn't want to make her mad again, because he had a feeling if that kept happening it would not end well for him. He wasn’t sure what could be worse than complete and total amnesia, but looking at Annabeth he was pretty sure she could think of something.
She took a deep breath, a little unsteadily.
“Your name is Percy,” she said, “I guess Will already told you that, though.”
Percy nodded. She moistened her lips, staring down at the ground.
“Okay. What else do you want to know?”
“Where are we?” Percy asked. It wasn’t his most urgent question, but it felt like a safer one to ask. Then again, from the look on Annabeth’s face, maybe that was a miscalculation. She was biting her lip, the anger in her expression softening slightly. It seemed to be replaced by something sad though, and Percy found he almost preferred the anger.
“It’s… a little hard to explain. But we’re at a camp. A summer camp. It’s-- it’s where we met.”
“Why are we here now?” Percy asked. Annabeth shrugged.
“We’re just visiting,” she said.
“Together?” Percy asked. She stared at him, swallowing heavily.
“Yeah. Together,” she said, though she was clearly unwilling to elaborate.
Okay then. Time for a new line of questioning. A safer line, one that hopefully wouldn’t put her on the verge of tears.
“What’s my favorite color?” he asked.
“Blue,” she said, instantly.
“Favorite food?”
“Anything blue,” she said, just as fast.
“I eat blue food?” Percy asked, confused. She smiled for the first time since he’d told her his memory was gone. It was small, but it still made his heart flutter.
“Yeah. It’s sort of an inside joke with you and your mom,” she said. The smile faded just as fast as it had come, but her answer had inadvertently given Percy more information than he’d expected.
“So I’m close to my mom?” Percy asked, unable to help it. Annabeth nodded again. She took a tentative step forward, sitting back down on the chair beside his bed.
“Who else?” he asked, without thinking. Annabeth frowned, a little confused.
“What do you mean?” she asked.
“I mean--” Percy started, realizing this might be a little too much too soon, but wanting to know so badly he couldn’t help but ask anyway, “I mean, who else am I close to?”
Annabeth didn’t answer for a long minute. She was looking down at the ground again, her hands gripping her own shoulders, arms shielding her chest. She seemed to be contemplating something, though what it was, Percy wasn’t sure.
Maybe he shouldn’t have asked that question. Maybe it was too personal-- with a start Percy realized that Annabeth was probably a pretty high priority for him, given the scant details he knew about their relationship, and him not knowing that intrinsically had to hurt.
“I’m sorry,” he said, “Just forget it, tell me something else.”
She finally looked back up at him, though she still seemed upset and unsure.
“No, it’s fine,” she said, though she was clearly forcing her voice not to waver, “Like I said, you’re close to your mom, her name is Sally. You have a sister named Estelle and a brother named Tyson. And your best friend is--” she stumbled, but found herself again, “His name is Grover.”
Percy noticed that Annabeth’s own name was conspicuously absent from that list. Maybe he should keep his mouth shut, all things considered, but his curiosity got the best of him. He wanted to know this more than anything.
“What about you?” he asked, voice quiet.
It took her less time to answer than he expected, but she was still quiet for a minute.
“You asked me if I was single,” she said finally, eyes ducked down, a rosy blush growing in her cheeks, “And I said no because-- because we’re dating. We have been for a while.”
“Oh,” Percy said. He could feel his own face getting red, even though this was kind of great news-- or maybe not so great news, considering his stupid brain still couldn’t remember shit. But it still felt right, like a puzzle piece slotting into place. Of course he was dating her. That was just correct, an inalienable fact he felt dumb for not knowing, despite not knowing anything at all.
“Yeah,” she said, “But you don’t remember, so… so I don’t know anymore, I guess.”
“I’m sorry,” Percy said, and he felt it. He felt like an idiot, both for trying to flirt with her earlier, and for not putting the pieces together sooner. The hand holding probably should have given it away, at the very least.
To his surprise, Annabeth gave him a small smile, even though her eyes were a little red. She wiped them on her sleeve, clearly trying not to do it in an obvious way.
“Sorry, it’s just-- that’s so you,” she said, sniffling a little.
“What’s so me?” Percy asked. He felt stupid, oblivious, but she just smiled again, a touch wider this time.
“Apologizing for something that isn’t even your fault.”
“I really am sorry,” Percy said, and he felt worse with every word, “I want to remember, I do, it’s just-- all of it’s gone.”
“I know,” she said. She sounded defeated. “I guess it would be too much to ask for you to remember me twice, huh?”
She said it like a joke, but Percy could feel the real pain behind her words. He felt an ache in his chest, like a phantom pain he couldn’t quite place, something in him mirroring her own hurt. He wanted so badly to comfort her, but he didn’t know how.
Or maybe he did. His brain was a jumbled mess, but he did know the only things that had made him feel anything since he’d woken up had to do with her.
“I… I almost get flashes,” he admitted, glancing up at her again. She wasn’t quite meeting his eye, looking somewhere over his shoulder, but he continued anyway. “When you say or do things… It’s like my body knows what to feel but my mind doesn’t know why.”
She glanced up, her eyes finally meeting his own. They were still shining with tears, though not as intensely as before.
“Like how?” she asked, simply. Percy swallowed heavily, not exactly sure what to say. It was hard to describe, given he’d barely recognized his own feelings.
“Like… like when you left, before. I was upset but I didn’t know why. I didn’t know you but I knew… I knew that was supposed to hurt, somehow. And when Will told me about how I got hurt in the first place, how I was trying to keep the frisbee thing from hitting you-- that felt right, but I don’t know why.”
She had graduated to crying in earnest now, tears slipping out of the corner of her eyes and falling down her cheeks. Percy felt the inexplicable urge to reach out and brush them away, but he knew he couldn’t. And that hurt too for some reason, a hollow aching in his chest he couldn’t quite place even though the reason for it was standing right in front of him.
“And right now,” Percy continued, even though maybe he shouldn’t, “You’re upset and I just feel this urge to do something, and I can’t because I don’t know how.”
“Percy, please--” she said, still crying, her voice rough with tears. He didn’t know what she was begging for, but he couldn’t help his next words slipping out, like his tongue knew more what to do than his mind.
“I don’t know anything about me, but I know-- I know I love you. I can feel it. I’m not just saying it either, I swear I can feel it.”
“Percy,” she said again, her voice barely above a whisper this time.
“You have to help me, Annabeth. I don’t know what to do,” he said, and this time it was his turn for his voice to get thick, a lump in his throat obscuring his words.
“I--” she started, swallowing heavily, eyes welling with tears again, “I don’t know what to do.”
“Yes you do,” Percy said, and he was sure she did, something in him just knew, “You always do, don’t you?”
That felt right too, even if he couldn’t place why, but it seemed to mean more to her than to him. She stared at him, eyes wide and scared. She was so close now, close enough that he could see every freckle on her nose.
Annabeth looked so panicked that for a second a second, Percy thought she was going to hit him, but then she did the opposite. She leaned over and kissed him.
Her lips were soft and sweet, and she tasted like strawberries and salt. His lips seemed to know exactly what to do, moving against hers like they’d kiss her a thousand times-- and maybe they had. His hand moved, almost of its own accord to her hair, tangling in it, pulling her a fraction of an inch closer--
And then it hit him. The scent of her shampoo, lemony and sharp and familiar.
He gasped, not meaning to, but she pulled back, grey eyes wide.
“Percy?” she asked, hopeful even as she tried to hide it.
“Annabeth,” he said, trying not to panic as things started to float through his mind-- more than things, memories. Her face and her voice and her words, the feeling of her hand in his and her smile against his lips, it all started to flood back like it had never left.
“Are you--” she asked, her hands on his shoulders, gripping tight, too tight, but he didn’t even care.
“Annabeth,” he breathed, saying her name like a revelation, because it was, “You’re Annabeth Chase, you’re my girlfriend and an architect and you’re scared to death of spiders and you still sleep with a teddy bear--”
She cut him off at that last point, throwing her arms around him and hugging him harder than she ever had-- except for maybe that time she’d thought he was dead for two weeks and he’d crashed his own funeral. Percy hugged her back just as hard, because he actually remembered that.
It hadn’t all come back-- things were blurry, most things, actually. But Annabeth at least felt clear in his mind, a shining beacon welcoming the rest of his memories back. He was already starting to get a headache again, but he didn’t care. They would come back. And even if they didn’t-- he had her. That was enough.
She pulled back from her bone crushing embrace, keeping their faces so close their noses were almost touching. She seemed scared that if she pulled away he might too, even though he had no intention of doing so, physically or mentally.
“So you’re back? Really?” she asked, sounding scared to know the answer.
“Sort of,” Percy confirmed, wincing as he did. He really was starting to get a pounding headache. “I remember you. And bits and pieces of other things, but mostly you.”
Annabeth breathed a sigh of relief, closing her eyes for a long moment.
“You scared the shit out of me,” she whispered, her hands trailing up his neck, just barely scraping his hair.
“I know. I’m sorry,” he breathed. And he did know, now better than ever. It couldn’t have been more than a few hours since he’d woken up without his memory, but he knew every minute of it had to have been hell for her.
Annabeth sighed, pulling back further, so he could see her whole face. Her eyes were still red from crying, and her cheeks were still flushed from their kiss. But he could see the barest traces of humor in her expression, a slight tug at the corner of her mouth where a smile was being repressed.
“What?” he asked, but she just shook her head.
“It’s nothing,” she said, but her smile had grown.
“Come on, I just had amnesia. You have to tell me.”
She laughed, a light tinkling sound. It was just on the edge of being hysterical, but she deserved it, after the day she’d been having.
“Fine. I was just thinking-- Hera couldn’t make you forget me but a glorified frisbee could?” Annabeth said.
“Hey, it was heavy!” Percy protested, but he couldn’t help but grin as he did. He would probably stay grinning for the rest of his life, actually.
“You’re such an idiot,” she breathed, pulling him into a hug again, “I love you so much.”
“I love you too,” Percy said, hugging her back. And now he knew he did, in a permanent, tangible way.
There was still a lot missing, but he had the most important bits down. His name was Percy Jackson. He was twenty years old, and in college and a demigod, and lots of other things that would surely return with time.
And he loved Annabeth Chase more than anything in the world.

Please tell me about metal man!!
Brooo you really gonna make me type huh
Okay Metal is like…my absolute beloved. One of my boys. Y’know.
So I have many thoughts on him.
I probably won’t put them all in here but I’ll give you the rundown
How I see Metal is essentially that he’s kinda a big softie, but emotionally closed off, and not exactly sure how to handle said feelings when they come up.
So instead of dealing with them in a healthy way, he just gets angry.
Normally talking to Metal, he’s decently polite.
But he’s also incredibly sarcastic, and will make jokes in such a dry manner, it’s hard to tell when he actually intends to be funny. And with the subject of his jokes often being violent, it’s not a surprise some bots think he’s little more than a killing machine.
When annoyed, Metal will very casually make death threats to pretty much anyone. Especially his brothers, who luckily know him well enough to know it doesn’t mean anything.
Most he would actually do when mad at someone is punch them. Having pretty intense anger issues, this isn’t uncommon. Especially when it comes to people like Quick Man. That being the crucial criteria of being a 2 bot, and being an absolute menace.
Metal is aware he has anger issues, and is frustrated with it. He doesn’t really like being angry all the time, or being ready to throw a punch at a moments notice, but he’s not sure how to fix it.
Some things he’s done as an attempt though, is getting into more calming hobbies like cooking and painting.
Not that they always help.
And his less productive way of calming down is going into his room and throwing blades and punches at the wall until he’s exhausted.
Not ideal.
Metal is an expert at dodging. He’s super fast and nimble.
His fighting style is based on dexterity and his ability to avoid attacks. He’s something of a glass canon.
Also is very frustrated by the fact he is so delicate when actually hit.
Especially with his own weapon.
It’s a subject that is quick to annoy him when brought up.
Overall, Metal gets along pretty well with his brothers.
Though, he does frequently fight with Quick Man, and arguments with Flash Man aren’t uncommon.
Sometimes they will play frisbee with him :]
Which he appreciates because he’s very good at it and likes it a lot.
Flash definitely cheats with bud time stopper though, after so many loses.
He’s very protective of his siblings, even the ones he doesn’t always get along with.
He will have a stern talking to anyone who bothers them.
And maybe he’ll beat them up for their lunch money. Depends on how much they harassed his bros.
He cares a lot about and is very loyal to wily, and works really hard to gain the doctors approval.
Though, he’ll still argue with him about stupid plans. But at the end of the day, if wily gives an order, he’ll follow.
He really does not like dogs.
This is a point of contention between him and Bass.
Dogs always tend to bark at him when he walks by, which annoys him to no end.
So there’s some of them about my guy :]
I’ll probably have the rest in a full post at some point since I love Metal a whole lot
Thanks for the ask bucko (even tho you already know like all of these, lol)

HC request: How would Loki react to someone (Thor, Bucky, Steve, etc.) hurting you accidentally (like giving you a bloody nose while playing a sport).
It would depend, first, on who hurt you and how you got hurt.
Knowing that these boys have superpowers, they often forget that you’re not as skilled as Natasha or as strong as Carol.
Loki would never play physical games unless it was something like sparring, to which he knew one of you could be hurt.
So when you’re playing frisbee with Steve’s shield, he’s keeping an eye on you.
No one hurts his best friend, after all.
Given that the two of you have never actually expressed any romantic feelings toward the other verbally or blatantly whatsoever, it isn’t exactly his place to be protective over you.
The rest of the team knew that you and Loki had some unspoken thing, so no one really questioned it. It never got in the way of your work and to be honest, they really couldn’t say anything with Wanda and Vision being together.
So Loki was reasonably protective.
While you were playing frisbee with the shield, you got nicked gently on the side of the head.
You didn’t get hurt enough to cause even an almost-concussion.
Still, Loki stood up and rushed to you.
“Darling!”
“Are you alright?”
He’ll pet your head and turn it about five or six times.
You shake your head yes. “I’m fine,” you insist. “I’m perfectly okay, just grazed.”
He passed his hand over the nick and it disappeared. If he had any idea that you had gotten distracted while the shield was flying because of him, he would probably freak out.
He was alright after making sure you weren’t bleeding anymore from that one.
Then came the time when you were playing 9 Square with Thor.
The ball hit you in the face.
Given that this was Thor, Loki didn’t just run to you, he was ready to murder Thor.
“What is wrong with you?!”
“Y/N is a mortal, you imbecile! What if you killed her?!?”
You barely made sure he didn’t commit some kind of interplanetary war crime. It was almost getting out of hand.
“What am I supposed to do if I lose you?” he asks.
You sit him down, sighing. You don’t want your relationship, whatever it was, to fall through.
“So you’re telling me you’re going to be fine? Darling, you’re playing rough with men who don’t know how to go easy on you.”
“I will be fine!” you tell him. “I don’t know how I’m supposed to be killed by people who love me. You’re going to stifle me if you don’t back off!”
His face fell.
You couldn’t take it back.
After all, you somewhat meant it.
But you knew you had hurt his feelings when his good intentions weren’t that bad... he just needed to give you some space. Realize you weren’t entirely fragile.
Loki stopped talking to you for a week.
He waved to you at two across the room.
He was nervous around you for the first time.
“Are you sure I’m not overstepping boundaries?” he asked you.
You explained the best you could that his boundaries before weren’t even that extreme, just that he didn’t need to worry so often.
Once things had been resolved, he hugged you tightly.
You pulled away to look at him, and then he kissed you deeply.
Suddenly, his overprotectiveness made sense.
And all you could do was smile.

wah wah uni/modern AU headcanons/word vomit underneath bc i’m bored
sfw stuff for once; probably a lot of projecting my uni experience on to characters lmao, a sprinkle of slander (a whole serving for naoya)
gojo, geto, nanami, haibara, naoya under the cut
gojo
double majoring in physics + mathematics. survives off of sugar/sweets to get him through all nighters. lives in the physics department building.
comes off as the kinda student who ALWAYS has to have something going on because they don’t want to be alone in their thoughts.
TAs for introductory courses and is the worst kind of TA; not that he’s an ass or anything. he’s really into the topic and that’s great! but explains things like “so you go like this, and like zoom here? but also there’s a whoosh that kinda changes things.” like sir? i just asked what newton’s third law was.
will try to haze underclassmen into doing stupid things. (jumping in a nearby lake, running naked across the football field, stuff like that)
still a pretty good student; does make some dumb decisions (has definitely taken an exam high on some type of illicit drug just to see what happens)
heckles conspiracy theorists/animal rights activists when they’re on campus.
steals plates/utensils from campus dining, has amassed a giant pile of utensils by the end of the year.
bonus text message bc i felt like it:
geto
philosophy major + animal bio/zoology major(? or minor)
not related to his major but he also comes off as the type that would read horror fiction in his spare time (idk lovecraftian fiction in particular feels like it would ring with him)
is an RA. he didn’t want to live off campus because it’s too expensive but didn’t want to have roommates in a campus dorm either. best of both worlds.
when introducing himself to his floor/residents during the first meeting, he just makes up random lies about campus/university. (the bathroom in room 323? haunted. don’t eat the cafeteria pasta; you’ll have terrible shits. intro math is the EASIEST class ever! (he almost failed intro math in his first quarter.)) aka just causes problems on purpose just to see what happens.
stellar student and (generally) all around swell guy; is always the first one to speak up if you’re assigned in a group project and takes the lead. very charismatic (in a good way!)
has a well-organized planner/google calendar. if you make plans w/ him he says shit like “ok, so i’ll pen you in for 2pm on thursday?”
if you get into an argument w/ him he’ll probably point out that something you said is technically a logical fallacy and then goes off on a tangent about said fallacy.
when approached by petitioners on campus, lies to them that he’s not local to the area, or that he’s not registered to vote.
starts small talk w/ you not out of romantic or even platonic interest, but because he wants you to join his student club
nanami
business/econ major. but he’s cool! responsible! and ~not like other business majors~ (aka he’s nice and not a drunken asshat)
doesn’t do much outside of school; holes himself in his room to study or occasionally goes to a library/cafe on campus for a change of pace.
turns in assignments days before the deadline. never does anything last minute if he can help it.
wears a leather messenger bag. has been mistaken for the professor on a couple of occasions.
lives on caffeine; his 32 oz hydroflask? yea that’s filled to the brim w/ coffee.
part of model UN
has a lot of spare time since he doesn’t work or do many extracurricular activities; main hobby is reading, and occasionally baking.
if he has a class in a large lecture hall he puts his bag on the seat next to him and says he’s saving it for someone if anybody asks. he is indeed, not saving that spot for anyone and just doesn’t want people sitting next to him.
haibara
pre-med or veterinary science major.
plays ultimate frisbee on the school lawn.
if you sit next to him on the first day of class, he’ll make small talk + ask you for your number so that you two can study together for the rest of the quarter. (in a platonic way, not necessarily romantic!)
type of person that likes to draw on the whiteboard outside of their dorm door as the seasons change; things like “good luck on finals!”, “happy holidays!” w/ smiley faces and cute doodles
is part of a cooking club on campus; likes to bring whatever he makes to nanami. (also bc he’s worried nanami isn’t taking care of himself; who the hell drinks 32oz.+ of coffee everyday?)
keeps a hamster in his dorm even thought he’s not supposed to; has to hide the hamster cage/supplies ahead of time for room inspections.
has accidentally fucked up a lab once and had to use the emergency lab shower.
naoya
compsci techbro. like the worst kind of techbro you’ll ever find. elon musk worshipper and crypto enthusiast.
has a stacked resume w/ internships and whatnot bc his family has connections. legacy kid.
pays people to do his homework.
subscribes to rise and grind mentality, believes in alpha male ideology
is always dripped out in luxury/designer brand outfits.
if you ever ask him for help w/ something he’d either say “figure it out yourself” or repeat the spec word for word to you as if he actually did something.
thinks weed ~elevates his state of mind.~ it doesn’t.
#jjk headcanons#jujutsu kaisen headcanons#sen hc#sen writes#gojo + geto are always fun to make headcanons for bc they'd be the type to do some dumb/chaotic shit#idk i thought this would help me get in the right mind to write my geto fic#regardless this was fun to think about

Oh, for the ship ask, how about 💖 and 😒 for roloceit?
Hello this came out absurdly long. Also I started, stopped, and forgot this twice because I had to go out for dinner, and then the new Asides dropped.
💖- How do each of them feel about pet names?
I think it goes without saying that Roman is just about the biggest fan of pet names and quirky nicknames there is. He probably dedicates an entire journal to lists of nicknames for each of the sides, and makes little marks and notes to indicate which ones got particularly strong reactions. This one made Janus laugh, use again. Logan was frustrated he didn't understand this one, do not use. He's a dork, is what I'm saying.
Janus gets a lot of snake and scale themed nicknames still because Roman actually thinks his scales are lovely and wants him to know that, always. References to musicals, plays, and mythology are common place in his nicknames. Space themed nicknames are Roman's favorite for Logan, because they're romantic and fit so well, and he loves when Logan reacts to a new nickname in a way that lets him go off on a passionate ramble where he compares him to the sun and the stars until Logan is beet red and mumbling for him to please have mercy and stop his gay heart can't take this?? His nicknames are often themed around novels, sci-fi, science, and also mythology. Roman will also add specific references to Logan's current hyper fixation.
When it comes to simpler, more common terms of endearment Roman's favorites are things like my love, my treasure, my heart, my muse. Sweet and classic, and letting his loves know in a casual way that they're important and beloved and invaluable to him. As for being called pet names? Roman loves it. He's weak for being given affection in any form, honestly, but pet names give him this warm wobbly feeling in his heart. Janus's casual endearment, like loving Roman just comes so naturally and effortlessly to him, makes him melt. Logan's carefully curated nicknames, that he puts so much thought and effort into because nicknames don't come naturally to him but he loves his boyfriends so much that he wants to try anyway, always leave him beaming.
Janus is the second biggest fan of pet names here, because of course he is - he's just as much of a dramatic flirty theatre boy as Roman is. His arsenal of affectionate nicknames is smaller than Roman's, because he doesn't really plan them out like Roman often does. He'll make them up on the spot most of the time, just say whatever comes naturally at the moment. He's made up plenty of little situational nicknames that are almost forgotten as soon as that situation passes, until he says it again like four months later and it immediately reminds Roman or Logan of that exact situation and they start yelling (affectionately). He has a set of favorite nicknames for each of the sides, though, that he uses most often. Roman is his Prince Charming, his Braveheart, his ... terms themed around royalty, bravery, creativity, and charm. Janus is good at this, I am not. Logan can expect to be flustered with My Starlight and My Night Sky fairly often, and also Sherlock Holmes and references to his curiosity, because Janus finds that particularly endearing about him.
Janus's favorite pet name is darling and he uses it constantly, but he can also frequently sprinkle in terms like my beloved, my sweet, dearest, dear, dove. A lot of classic and sweet nicknames, which again, he uses often because terms of endearment just kind of come naturally to him. As for being called pet names, he's fond of it, and certain ones can fluster him, which his boyfriends love. Mostly he enjoys the simple reminder that he's cared for.
Logan's thoughts on pet names are a bit more complex but hey, he's a complex side. He's not good at nicknames, and he admits this. He's not that much better at terms of endearment in general, really. That kind of thing doesn't come as naturally to him, and he tends to express his affection in other ways. He knows, though, that Roman & Janus both enjoy them, so he does make the effort to use them every once in awhile, to cheer them up or just to see them smile. Because he thinks he's bad at them, Logan puts a lot of thought and genuine research into a nickname before he'll use it, because he wants it to be accurate and expressive and liked. Roman & Janus appreciate the effort he puts into them, especially because he doesn't really have to.
Logan always considered himself fairly neutral on the idea of nicknames and pet names, maybe even leaning towards dislike. He has a perfectly acceptable name and there's no reason not to use it, thank you. But that changed pretty fast when Roman & Janus started flirting with him. It flustered him for awhile, because there's a world of difference between pet names and the kind of mocking nicknames he's used to, but once they're all together they just kind of ... make him feel a bit warm and fuzzy.
😒- Who is more protective/gets jealous more easily?
Well, I can tag Logan right as the least protective and prone to jealousy. Not that he isn't protective at all, because he can and will shutdown anyone upsetting his boyfriends, but he has confidence that they can handle themselves and he's pretty good at being level-headed when he's not, you know, angry. He doesn't get jealous often and when he does it's mostly that insecure type of jealousy where he turns it in on himself.
Janus is very protective once he's attached to someone, and obviously his boyfriends are at the top of his list of attachments. He's protective in the way that he won't let anyone talk shit about them, only he can do that, how dare they? And he's very protective of like ... their excitement? If something is really important to them, Janus will bend over backwards to make sure no one else fucks it up, or he'll ruin their lives. He's like ... moderately prone to jealousy? He doesn't particularly like anyone outside of the circle flirting with his boys, and if he spots it he'll usually sweep in and out-flirt the offender and offer some scathing sarcasm and passive-aggression. Sometimes he gets caught up in the fear of being pushed out again and left alone, and he gets snappy and defensive.
Roman is a lot more protective in the physical ways. He's the one that would start a fist fight in public because someone got handsy with Logan or said something especially nasty to Janus. If someone or something is a threat to either of them? Roman will throw down at a moments notice. He'd take a bullet for them, but he's also definitely jumped in front of frisbees and tackled a wild Remus for them. Jealousy ... that's a bit of an issue for him. We all know his self esteem is in tatters, and that can get in his head and in the way of his relationships. He can caught up worrying that Logan & Janus love each other more than they love him, or that they're interesting in someone else and want to replace him, and why wouldn't they, he's so easily replicable-- Roman has definitely cried over his jealousy before, and him starting fights because of it is definitely a bit of a problem early in the relationship, though it is one that's eventually dealt with because of healthy communication and also therapy.
Uh, final verdict is Janus is the most protective but Roman is the most insecure, and Logan loves these fools.
BONUS HEADCANON.
Logan & Roman both own an absurd, insane amount of notebooks and journals dedicated to a vast variety of topics, including nicknames and relationships and random interests. Janus finds it such an amusing thing for them to have in common, and starts keeping a little relationship journal of his own where he keeps notes of all the little things and moments that made him think "wow, I love this person" and presented it to them on their anniversary. They loved it.

Been trying to have more conversations with the boy but it’s hard. I’m bad at it and he’s even worse. It just feels like we aren’t always very good at talking to each other both about small things and big things and it’s like if we don’t have that what we do we have?
And like sometimes the conversation is easy, but then it’s almost always about frisbee. And it’s like I do not want to either be carrying the whole conversation or talking about frisbee for the rest of my life (and yes that’s a hyperbole and I’m being dramatic but like still)
And then when I finally talk to him about how it feels like he gives me all these one word answers it’s always that he’s just tired and if he doesn’t think the answer is important he’s not gonna put his energy into it. And like he’s being apologetic but it’s not like if talking to me isn’t worth your energy what is? And like we only see each twice a week and sometimes only once a week.
And partly it’s because with the holidays I’ve been gone for two weeks and then had a Covid exposure and now he’s gone so we’ve barely seen each other. And I’m an abysmal texted so it’s hard to maintain connection when we don’t see other (and yes I really am the problem here and yes I’m working on it (although he was always says it’s fine)
I just feel sometimes like I just don’t understand him very well especially considering we’ve been dating almost a year.
And when I brought up doing something for our year, that is when he mentioned that his grandmother had died earlier this week and so he’d be leaving for her funeral. And I had asked him about various aspects of week like seven times at this point and he had yet to mention it. And I have no idea how to be there for him or if he even needs or wants that because he just never shares.
And then because he never shares I feel like I’m being over emotional and needy whenever I share. And then we just talk about anything ever.
And his family’s going to Italy in may and when I saw his family over thanksgiving she invited me but he has never even hinted if he’d like me to go with them (I probably can’t regardless but like I would like to be asked)
And even when his family was here for thanksgiving he only invited me to see for actual thanksgiving even though they were here for like a week and he did lots of other stuff with them. And I had to be the one to ask if he even wanted me to meet them when they came and to let me know what he wanted me to join them for. And turns out the answer was very little.
And it just sucks that it feels so hard to build an emotional connection because he’s so great in other ways. Like he’s so sweet and kind and thoughtful. And he remembers all the things I like and is always seeking them out or trying to do things to make me happy. And whenever I do manage to try and talk to him about the things I feel he’s always really nice about it and never makes me feel like my feelings are stupid. (He sometimes get hung up the logistics (it almost always twice a week and only rarely once a week) )but also always ask what he could do make me feel better. But like how do you tell someone to just be a more emotional human?
And like I hate that it’s always me telling him things. Like I know I can be annoying and I’m far from perfect but like he just never has any complaints, often even when asked point blank. And even when I did ask him what he would change about the relationship he one made me answer first and two just said he’d like it if I texted him back a little quicker. Which while fair I had just told you five minutes ago how was feeling disconnected probably in part to me being a terrible texter so is that really what you want or just what you think I want? It’s also annoying because when we first started dating I told him I was bad at texting and he said he actually preferred to not text that much. And like it could be that it’s a spectrum and also things evolved but it makes me worried that he’ll just tell me what I want to hear and then just deal with it even if it’s not really what he wants. And then I worry that he’ll end up resenting me for that and then just break up with me out of no where.
And this fully me just being anxious but I can’t help but feeling sometimes likes he’s just waiting for a good time to end things because he’s too nice to do it at an inconvenient time.
And I guess a lot of it just circles back to the thought I’ve been having since this summer that while he’s a really good boyfriend, he’s just doing the things that a boyfriend should do because he likes having a girlfriend and not that he likes me in particular. It’s like I check all the boxes so he’s committed to make it work and emotions are irrelevant. I like I want to have that deep emotional connection and it feels like that’s not enough. But then I go to describe what is that doesn’t feel like “enough” and it feels like I am describing a really good relationship.
And I don’t know if I’m just getting caught up in the holiwood or social media fantasy of relationships where people jump into each other everyday and talk endlessly for hours and no every last detail of the other persons psyche, because that’s not what we have.
He’s pleasant to hang out with, even if sometimes I feel like I want to shake him until more words fall out. He’s like the least annoying person I’ve ever met, he’s super easy to travel with. He’s considerate of me and my feelings. He puts effort into the relationship. He can be silly and we can have goofy moments together. He checks all the lifestyle “boxes” and my ideal life and being with him work perfectly together. He’s never dismissive of me. He’ll do things just to make me happy even if they aren’t his favorite. He feels safe.
And I don’t know how to balance all the wonderful against the intangible lackluster emotional connection. Especially when I am the other half of the emotional connection.
Like is the reason I have more deep feeling conversations with my girls friends just because THEY are good at it? And does it feel hard with Anthony because I am actually bad at it or because he is? (I mean probably both). And at the end of the day does it matter? Even if I’m the problem if I can’t figure how to make it better, it’s still not really working. And we all know the answer to every relationship question is just to talk to the other person. I just wish that didn’t feel so hard
#word vomit#am overthinking?#yes absolutely#but I’m still sad#and still confused#and don’t really know how to feel better#I’ve been spending way to much time by myself on the couch lately which doesn’t help#what also doesn’t help is comparing what I would do if I wasn’t dating Anthony#and wondering if that would be better#sigh#and he’s at a conference all week and then going for his gm funeral#so I won’t see him for another week#and then it’ll be past our year anniversary#and that feels bad somehow#but also it’s his grandmas funeral so I don’t want to be really considerate of that#even if he’s not talking about it it’s hard#and he’ll want to be there for his dad#so want to let him be#and not be like whyyyy aren’t you paying more attention to me#so anyway#the giant tumblr over share diary continues

Breathe
Dean x Castiel
Word Count: ~2580
Warnings: Dean feels. Angst with a happy ending.
A/N: This is my finale fix-it to tie up some loose ends and patch some holes. 100% canon compliant, but... better!
Thanks to @rockhoochie for the read and @thoughtslikeaminefield for all the cheerleading.
Dean wants to scream, wait.
Wait, Cas.
Just a minute.
I need a minute to breathe, Cas.
I need more time. Please.
It’s all too much, too much to process, too much to feel, and then the Empty is sending tendrils of black oozing nothingness up Cas’s face, smothering him, taking him away, and…
There isn’t any more time. He’s gone.
Dean is out of time, and he can’t breathe, let alone speak, and Cas is gone before Dean can say, I love you too.
—
Of course Dean loved him, but…
Family, they’d always said. It never occurred to Dean that it could’ve been… that. That it could’ve been more. Something new.
Whenever he starts thinking about it, trying to examine his feelings a little closer, he feels like he’s drowning. The loss is so big, right now. There’s no room for anything else, and it’s terrifying, how easily it could pull Dean under.
Dean tells himself there will be time. After they get Chuck, after they end this thing… yeah. He’ll have time. He’ll figure it out.
Later. When it doesn’t hurt so much.
—
Dean’s not really sure what to do with his free will, now he has it. He doesn’t feel any different. He thought it’d feel different somehow.
He’s tired. He’s not a goddamn hero any more; there’s no all-powerful asshole putting cosmic Tiger Balm on his sore muscles for the sake of the fucking narrative. He aches, now, and some mornings he wakes up feeling like he’s been holding the actual weight of the world on his shoulders.
All that loss is a heavy thing to carry around. He’s getting too old to play Atlas.
It gets easier, but not by much. There are still things that Dean can’t say out loud. He hasn’t even said the name.
His dad always said it was selfish to waste time on shit like that. Can’t be sittin’ around feeling sorry for yourself when there are people to save, things to hunt…
Plenty of things to hunt, that’s for damn sure. It feels mundane after what they’ve been up against, but there are plenty of monsters; they keep Dean busy enough that he doesn’t have time to dwell.
No apocalypses. No gods, no angels. Just Sam and Dean and their dog, and one hunt after another.
—
“I know you’re not telling me everything,” Sam says quietly, over breakfast one morning. “You gotta talk about Cas at some point, Dean.”
“Soon.” He clears his throat. “Soon. I need some time before I can talk about… him.”
“Dean.”
“Cas. Before I can talk about losing Cas. Okay?”
“Okay.”
It’s quiet for a few minutes as they eat their eggs.
“How’s Eileen?” Dean asks quietly.
Sam sighs. “We’re taking it slow. Maybe it’s stupid. I know she’s alive, but…”
“You lost her.”
“I lost her. And that’s all mixed up with… with how much I love her. I don’t know how to feel one without the other right now.”
Dean almost laughs at that. Trust Sam to find exactly the right words for what Dean hasn’t been able to admit to himself.
Love isn’t just love, it’s loss, and the fear of loss, and the knowledge that most people leave. They leave, and it hurts like hell. Dean doesn’t even remember what it’s like to love someone without expecting to lose them. Loss goes hand in hand with love, especially if you’re a fucking Winchester.
“Like I said,” Dean tells him. “You need time. We both do.”
Something shifts in Sam’s expression, like he understands, and Dean looks away.
—
Dad always insisted that Dean make his bed in the morning. It had to be neat, everything tucked in tight… his dad learned it in the military. He taught Dean in turn, beat it into him until the lesson stuck, and Dean’s never been able to shake the habit.
Until now.
His dog is ready to go out and chase a frigging frisbee for a while. Dean doesn’t want to spend another five minutes making sure his bed is up to goddamn military standards. He wants to throw a frisbee and drink some coffee and hit the frigging road.
So that’s what he’s going to do.
It’s scary, but in a good way, like the last moment when a rollercoaster pauses before it drops.
What’s the use of free will if he’s still following orders from a memory?
—
That night, when he comes in and sees his rumpled sheets, Dean can’t breathe. He grabs the bottle of whiskey from the nightstand and heads right back out again.
He knows Jack talked about being everywhere, but it feels better in the open air. Easier, somehow. The knot in Dean’s chest loosens slightly when he turns his face up to the moon.
“Jack?” he says tentatively. “Jack, I dunno if you’re listening, buddy, but… I’m sorry. I’m sorry for… all of it. Being a fuckin’ hardass. Treating you like you weren’t part of the family. You were always part of the family. You hearin’ this?”
There’s no real answer, but Dean didn’t really expect one. He takes a slug of whiskey, wipes his mouth, takes another, and for a second he thinks it’s the alcohol, giving him that funny warm feeling.
“Hi, Jack,” he manages. “I’d pour one out for you, but… seems like a fuckin’ waste, if you’re… I dunno. In everything, or whatever.”
This is a happy sort of warmth; it lingers.
“My dad would say I’m being selfish, right now. Feelin sorry for myself. Looking back. Wasting my time wishing things could be different. But…”
Dean looks up at the stars again. They go blurry.
“I just — fuck. Fuck it. I don’t know what to say.”
He sits down on the ground, head in his hands, and takes a moment to be selfish.
—
Dean feels a little thrill the first few times he leaves his bed unmade. After about a week, it starts to feel like a new habit.
In the morning, he ignores his dad’s voice in his head. At night, he takes his fifth of Jameson outside and sits under the stars.
It’s quiet, nothing but crickets and wind to keep him company, but he’s not alone. Jack’s right there, waiting, whenever Dean takes the time to listen.
He gets that glow in his chest every night. It feels like Jack’s smile did, when he waved goodbye: warm and bright and pure. It feels like his mom’s hugs used to, back when he was a kid. It feels like comfort.
Little by little, day by day, it gets easier. The kid’s always there, waiting for him, even if Dean doesn’t know what to say.
What would happen if he prayed to Cas?
No. No point in wondering. Dean knows that the answer is nothing. Nothing — abso-fucking-lutely fuck-all. There would be no answer, no rustle of wings, no raspy “Hello, Dean” — he would pray, and it would be silent, because Cas is gone.
Dean missed his chance.
—
“You out there, Jack?”
He’s out there. Dean’s starting to trust that he’ll always be there.
“I’m trying, okay? I’m trying to be me, not him. I don’t want to be him. ”
He has to pause and take a deep breath. He’s been thinking about how to say it all day, and the words still don’t come easy.
“I want to be the person you thought I could be. You and Cas, you always thought —” He takes a long drink. “— fuck. My dad didn’t — he didn’t say that enough, and I wish he’d taught me how to — how to tell people. I love you, Jack. I’m sorry. I should’ve said that sooner. To you, and… to a lot of people, probably.”
The tears start to spill over, hot and stinging, and it’s okay, Dean reminds himself. Jack’s still there. He’s not leaving.
“It hurts too much,” he admits, and his voice breaks. “Thinking about what I could’ve had, if I hadn’t… wasted all that time. I should’ve told Cas.”
Dean doesn’t fight the tears. He lets himself cry until there’s nothing left, until his eyes are puffy and his voice is raw.
When he gets up, brushes himself off, wipes his cheeks, he feels lighter. It still hurts, but he feels lighter.
“Love you, Jack,” Dean says quietly, into the silence. “Talk to you tomorrow.”
—
Sam is watching a family — the mom and dad and kid all holding hands, their smiles bright in the sunshine — and he looks sad.
Dean knows what Sam would say, if he asked.
Someday, maybe. I wouldn’t mind having kids… someday.
When Dean thinks about family, he thinks about the past: the childhood that he dimly remembers, when everyone he loved was under one roof. He doesn’t think, someday. Not like Sam does. Most of Dean’s family is long gone, and if they ever held hands at a pie festival, Dean doesn’t fucking remember it.
Dean tries not to dwell on it, but he’ll always remember heaven, all those years ago. Dean’s heaven was going back home to be with his family again. Sam’s heaven was running away to try to find a home of his own.
Dean wants to tell him to go. He wants Sam to be happy almost as much as he wants Sam to stay.
“I’m thinking about Cas. You know? Jack. If they could be here.”
Fuck.
For a moment, Dean lets himself imagine: holding Cas’s hand, making him laugh, walking in the park, sitting on an old porch swing, eating pie. Maybe they would have beehives. Maybe Dean would get a guitar.
Maybe they could’ve had a life together. Maybe they could’ve been happy.
“I think about ‘em too,” Dean says quietly.
It still hurts. Fuck, it hurts.
—
It takes Dean a moment to process what he’s feeling. The rebar punched through skin and muscle, and at first it just feels strange. The pain hits later. The fight’s over by the time Dean really understands what’s happening.
He considers his options.
He could call an ambulance. He could call Jack. He could barter and bargain and claw his way back one more time.
He could rest.
It’s not gonna be pretty, this way. He can feel it in there, cold and intrusive, chilling him from the inside. It’s gonna get messy real fast.
Dean closes his eyes and tries to breathe. It’s harder than it should be.
Jack, he thinks. Jack, I need a favor, buddy. Give me a minute, okay? And… let me go easy, maybe. If we could just skip the coughing up blood, and… yeah. I don’t want Sammy to have to watch that. Can you do that for me? Just… let me go easy, and… give me a minute to talk to my brother.
He feels that now-familiar warmth. The pain recedes, and the chill with it.
Thanks, Jack, he thinks, and then he opens his eyes.
“Sam,” he says quietly. “I don’t think I’m going anywhere.”
—
So this is it.
He wants to see Mom and Dad, of course. He wants to give his mom a hug. He wants to just… sit with his dad. No pressure, no hunt, no rules, no orders. Maybe things can finally be simple again. As soon as Sam gets here, they’ll all be together — all those people he never thought he’d be able to hold again, all in one place.
Dean doesn’t have to worry about losing them ever again.
They’ll stay.
No more goodbyes. No more loss.
And for the first time in his life, Dean’s not in a rush to get somewhere else. He’s got nothing but time.
He’s going to wait for Sammy. He’s going to figure out what he’s going to say to Cas. He’s going to breathe.
Dean goes for a drive.
—
“Hey, Sammy.”
“Dean.”
They breathe. They take their time. They’re in no rush.
Eventually, though, it’s time to hit the road again.
“You want to pick the music?” Dean asks.
Sam laughs as the engine rumbles to life. “Man, you must’ve missed me.”
“Yeah. Yeah, I really fuckin’ did.”
“Are we gonna talk about this?” Sam pulls out the mix tape Dean made for Cas, all those years ago, and holds it up with a knowing smirk. He pops the cassette into the tape deck and turns up the volume.
“Dude, you have decades worth of shit to tell me about,” Dean grumbles.
“Yeah. And you’ve got some unfinished business to deal with. Let’s go find Cas.”
“Bitch.”
“Jerk.”
—
Dean’s not sure how long they’ve been driving, but he knows exactly what he wants to say — he has a speech, he has it all planned out — by the time they round a corner and see the house. Dean just stops. If they weren’t in heaven, the brakes would squeal like a motherfucker.
He stares for a moment. It’s the house where Dean grew up, but… better.
It’s the only house on the block now; no neighbors, plenty of privacy. It’s surrounded by a big, sprawling garden, all fenced in, and the fence needs some repairs, he can see already. There’s a stream running through the backyard, big enough that there’s probably some decent-sized trout lurking in the eddies.
There’s a garage, too, and a car inside under a sheet, surrounded by tools, waiting for him. It looks like Baby, and Dean does a double take before deciding that he’s not going to question the logistics here. It’s heaven. Of course he has one Baby to drive, one Baby to tinker with and detail endlessly.
There’s a porch, a big wraparound one with a swing out front. The house itself needs a fresh coat of paint; it’s starting to look a little worn around the edges, but it’s surface damage, nothing structural. It’s like the laugh lines Dean sees in the mirror when he smiles, the crinkles at the corners of his eyes. He earned those lines.
Dean can’t wait to spend long quiet days in the sunshine, fixing this house up, putting some love into it, making it his own.
There are two whitewashed beehives tucked into a corner of the garden, under an arbor, and suddenly Dean’s heart is racing.
“I think this is my stop,” he says. His voice is a little wobbly.
“I’ll get out and walk the rest of the way,” Sam tells him with a grin. “I’ve got a funny feeling my place is just around the corner.”
“Love you, Sammy.”
“Love you.” He gives Dean a hug. “See you soon.”
The gate squeaks when he flicks the latch and swings it open. I can fix that, Dean thinks absentmindedly, as a dog starts barking.
His dog. Miracle. He recognizes that bark.
Cas is waiting on the porch. He’s beaming, brighter than sunshine, just like the last time Dean saw him, but this time Dean’s smiling too.
He had a speech. He forgets most of it, now.
Dean takes the last step too quickly. He almost stumbles, and Cas grabs him by the upper arm, laughing, holding him steady.
“Hello, Dean,” Cas says, and Dean’s so happy he can barely breathe.
“I love you too,” he says, and before their lips meet he says it again, just because he can: “I love you, too, Cas.”
He knows there’s more he wanted to say, but it can wait. They’ve got time.

Ok wait I wanna ask another feel free 2 smite me
FSG, SF, and any others you'd like to add!
S/o has a deep scar on their face and whenever people ask what happened they make something up
"I got mugged"
"I came face to face with a rascal of a pirate and barely made it out with my life"
"Knife frisbee is one hell of a game"
In reality, they have low iron and they passed out and their face hit the wall at a weird angle >:[ (bonefriend was there and knows what happened but still has to listen to s/os antics because they're too embarrassed to admit they lost a fight to a wall)
Sans: he’ll always add a little tibbit to the story. “I fought a bear” “well Actually, it was two bears, don’t forget sweets”. Nobody believes anything you two say lol
Papyrus: it depends on who you’re telling the story to. If you’re just entertaining some little kids or messing with an especially nosy person, papyrus will back you up whole heartedly. If you’re just saying that out of embarrassment, then he’s gonna call you out, you can’t hide from the truth reader
Star: lies are a big no no. Especially since he always has to worry about your low iron *ss. Each time you fob, star will roll his eyes and briefly summarize how it really went down. This boy always carries some of your supplements on him after the scare you gave him.
Honey: sure, he’ll go along with your silly stories. Honey isn’t going to put any effort into keeping up with them though. “I got mugged” “is that the one with the aliens too?”
Red: he punishes you by making the story really uncool. Each time you give a new excise, red will follow up that you got out just fine but tripped right after and got the scar.
Edge: his answer is almost the same as star’s but a little more chastising. You shouldn’t be ashamed just because you have a health issue! Edge doesn’t like talking about the scar since he didn’t manage to catch you in time
Mal: he’ll roll his eyes or let out an unimpressed snort, but otherwise doesn’t comment
Cash: he likes to pretend that he’s never heard this story before and will act all shock and suprised and will beg for more details. Basically, cash forces you to spin this whole imaginary tale about how you got your scar. You become a pretty good storyteller
Wine: he actually likes all the silly fibs you come up with. That doesn’t mean wine let’s you off the hook though! He’ll let you finish your story then add a fake confused “but I thought you said you fell in the blender?” Then he gleefully watches the fallout
Coffee: he’ll let out muffled giggles behind his sleeve each time you come up with a new lie. If coffee is feeling especially mischievous that day, he’ll cheerfully tell your listeners that a wall beat you up

Through the Years, Ch. 2
A George Weasley Fanfiction
A George Weasley x Slytherin reader story. Each chapter shares events in one year of George and reader’s life together, starting in their first year of Hogwarts.
Word Count: 3.6k
Content Warning: Snakes, mentions of bullying
Chapter 1 here
Year 2: Snakes and Lions
Sixth years were mean, especially sixth year Slytherins who thought they were above everyone else because they came from a rich family. Because of the knowledge about squibs you had learned from the twins, and seeing how everyone treated Filch, you decided it was best to keep your family history as vague as possible. That didn’t sit well with some of the upperclassmen. They would constantly pester you to learn more about your family. By the time you got to the end of first year, you had let it slip that your father worked in Muggle Studies at the Ministry. You were hoping this would stop some of the pestering, but it only made the pure-bloods laugh more.
The constant goading at your family was easy to deal with compared to the insults thrown at you just because of who you were friends with. Even with the Weasleys being pure-bloods, the Slytherins all seemed to hate them. They tended to stay away from insulting Charlie, as his prefect status seemed to deter them, but Percy made it so easy for them to mock him. Percy Weasley wasn’t a close friend, per se, and the twins had interesting things to say about him, but over the last year at Hogwarts you had grown to kind of like him. Sure, he was a little stuck up and had a tendency to make a fool of himself, but that gave you all the more reason to stand up for him. The twins were a whole different story. The insults thrown at them were about how loud and obnoxious and disrespectful to authority they were; insults about how their family was a disgrace to the pure-blood status. "And really, I don't get it." You were close enough friends with the twins that nearly every annoying thing your housemates said got relayed back to them. "You're not obnoxious, you're hilarious. You're not disrespectful, you're fun. Even if laughing at your pranks gets house points taken away from.. well, both of our houses." You had a free period today, so the courtyard was empty besides the three of you, and you felt free to speak openly. "I didn't know it bothered you so much," George's facial features were never as easy to read as Fred's. His tone was light, but his eyes were soft. "Doesn't bother us one bit," Fred piped up, shrugging. "It doesn't," you lied. "I just wish they'd shut up" “Well then let’s make them shut up,” Fred said, leaning closer to you, a familiar gleam in his eye. “Pull a prank on sixth year Slytherins?” you turned to look at him, a smile on your face. “I like where your head’s at, Freddie. What’s the plan?” “Filibuster fireworks in their food?” he suggested. “Didn’t that get you in trouble with a girl last year?” you asked, eyeing him. He turned his head away quickly, but you could still see the shy smile on his face; something you didn’t see often from Fred Weasley. “Besides, it’s really only one girl. If we shut her up, then her entire posse will shut up.” “Fanged frisbee right at the face,” George said with a laugh. “I like it, I like it a lot,” you agreed, “but, knowing Snape, he’ll put us all in detention for months for that one. If I miss one more quidditch practice because of detention, I’m gonna be kicked off the team.” “You got any good ideas then?” George asked. “Something a little more subtle,” you said, standing up so you could pace. The twins watched you walk back and forth, their heads following along with your body. An idea popped into your head, and you stopped suddenly in your tracks. A grin appeared on your face as you looked up at the twins. “Come on, we need to go to Hagrid’s” You took off towards Hagrid’s, hurrying out of the courtyard and down the hill. You could hear the twins behind you, shouting questions and trying to get you to slow down. You kept up your fast pace until you were at the base of the hill. Hagrid didn’t seem to be home, considering there was no smoke coming from his chimney, so you headed straight for his garden. “What’re we doing down here?” George asked as he stepped over a cabbage. “Is she allergic to vegetables or something?” Fred questioned. Ignoring them, you continued to search the dirt for what you were looking for. Moving pumpkins around, you looked for any sort of movement underneath them. “Worms in her shoes?” Fred inquired. You paused your search, looking up at him to give a small nod. “You’re getting close with that guess.” The twins looked between each other, confused. What on Earth could you be searching for in this garden? You continued your search while you talked to them. “I need something ordinary and non-magical. Something I can easily play off as an accident or coincident. Think Slytherin. Think phobias. What’s the stupidest thing a Slytherin could be deathly afraid of?” “Snakes?” they both asked at the same time. You looked at them with a smile. “Bingo, boys. Now help me look.” They both bent closer to the ground, looking for the small creature. It was only a second before George became curious about the plan again. “How do you know she doesn’t like snakes?” he asked. “She complains about it all the time,” you said, rolling your eyes. “Every day in the common room it’s ‘Why couldn’t we have a different animal? Snakes are just so gross and slimy.’ I don’t think she’s ever even seen a snake in real life. Most are harmless and absolutely not slimy. --Oh! Shut up, I found one.” “We weren’t talking,” George said, but you just stuck your tongue out at him and bent down to get a closer look at the animal. A small black creature wiggled in the dirt before you. It was a harmless garden snake, but you still slowly lowered your wand in front of it so it wouldn’t spook. It slithered over your wand, and you lifted it up slowly to show the boys. “Look at him!” you said excitedly. “He’ll be perfect.” You stuck him in the largest pocket on your robe and started back for the castle. The twins followed closely to you this time. “Are you sure you don’t want any magic involved?” George asked. “We could make him twice as big or give him a rattle to scare her more,” Fred suggested. “No,” you stated bluntly. “The more you add, the more likely I am to get detention. And don’t-” You smacked George’s hand away with your wand as he was reaching for the snake in your pocket. “-try to be sneaky about it and charm or transfigure it while I’m not looking.” “Sorry,” George mumbled as he rubbed his sore hand. As you got back to the courtyard, you turned to look at your friends. “Listen, I appreciate your pranks, but I’m doing this one by myself.” They started to protest before you cut them off. “You’re not allowed in the Slytherin common room or dorms,” you reminded them. “We let you in the Gryffindor common room just last week!” Fred protested. “Shut up,” you whispered, smacking him on the arm. You looked around quickly to confirm that the courtyard was still clear. “You know the teachers would never actually allow that. If they found out, especially McGonagall or Snape, I’d never be allowed near you again.” “So you like being near us,” George said with a grin. You noticed that he didn’t phrase it as a question, but you were too distracted by how cute his smile was to acknowledge that. “No,” you lied, hoping the walk up the hill would hide how distracted you felt. “But I like hanging out with Lee and Angelina. Plus, I like the chairs in your common room more than mine. But if Percy knew you told me your password, he would surely kill all three of us.” “Percy has no power over us,” Fred stated. “He will when he makes prefect next year,” you said. “And don’t even argue about that. We all know he’s gonna be a prefect.” “Pompous little Percy,” George mocked. “You should be nicer to your brother,” you said, smacking George this time. “Quit hitting us,” they said in unison as they both rubbed their arms. “Quit being annoying and I’ll think about it,” you said. You looked down at your pocket to see the snake looking up at you, its tongue flicking out. “Just make it through tonight, little buddy. I’ll bring you back to your garden first thing tomorrow.” “She’s nicer to a snake she just met than she is to us,” Fred whispered to his brother, but he wasn’t quite quiet enough. You shot him a quick glare before turning to head to your dorm. “I’ll let you know how it goes in the morning.” ------------------- It was really quite easy to sneak into the sixth years dorm room, as they were all still in class; your free period being your savior at this moment. You carefully tucked the snake under the girl’s blanket, promising that you’d be back to save it later that night. Hurrying off to your last class of the day, you were overjoyed thinking about the events that were to unfold in a few hours. You avoided the twins at dinner, wanting to make them even more eager about the situation. Sure, you were doing this mostly for them, but it still felt nice to be able to perform a fully fledged out prank by yourself. The twins may be known for their pranks, but they sure weren’t the only ones who could have fun. You focused most of your attention at dinner on Adrian Pucey, who was one of your only true Slytherin friends. He seemed to be the only other Slytherin quidditch player who believed in a fair match, and you liked him for that. Walking back to the common room with Adrian after dinner, you ran into the very girl who was annoying you to no end lately. “I see you’ve finally ditched those no good Weasleys,” she said as she pushed past you, her group of friends knocking you into Adrian as they followed. “Maybe you’ll actually grow to be a real Slytherin one day.” You apologized to Adrain as he helped you right yourself. “She’s a bit of a...” Adrian paused to think of the right words, but you were happy to fill it in. “Incessant little bi-” “Hey, no,” Adrian cut you off. “I was gonna say pain or annoyance. But I do kinda like where you were going.” “You should’ve let me finish my sentence then,” you said with a smirk. “That little ‘annoyance’ is about to get what’s coming to her, anyway. Come on, I don’t want to miss it.” You hurried off down the corridor, Adrian following next to you. “What do you mean by that?” he asked. “Oh you’ll see,” you said as you got to the Slytherin common room. “Pick a chair, settle in, and wait for it.” You picked a couch to sit on and busied yourself with pretending to do homework as you waited for the sixth year girl to go up to her dormitory. Adrian tried a few times to get you to explain what you were talking about, but you refused. After a few minutes he gave up and did his own school work. Less than 30 minutes later and there was a loud scream coming from the girls dorms. Adrien looked at you as you and the rest of the girls in the common room headed towards the scream. “What did you do?” he asked as you rushed past him. “Nothing,” you said, but the grin on your face told him a whole different story. The hallway was crowded and it took a bit of effort to push through the group to get to the front. When your vision cleared of the bodies of students, your eyes found the girl’s bed. The blankets were now a mess and you could see the small body of the snake tucked under the pillow. The girl herself was clinging to the four-poster two beds down. “Get that thing out of my bed this instant!” she screamed, her eyes searching over her group of friends. None of them moved. You separated from the crowd, walking closer to the bed. You pulled out your wand again, acting just like you had when you first found the snake that afternoon. It slithered over your wand. Picking it up, it hung gently from the wood, its head lifted towards you. “It’s just a small snake,” you said, looking over at the girl again. “We’re literally the house of the serpent. Plus, he’s harmless.” You let the snake crawl onto your hand to show the crowd that it was perfectly fine. The girl got down from the bed and started making her way over to you. “You foul little creature. You put that thing in my bed.” “I did no such thing,” you said, feigning the most innocent face you could muster. She took another step closer to you, but as you held the snake up she recoiled back. “What’s going on here?” A male voice could be heard from the hallway. A second later Snape appeared in the doorway. He looked between you and the sixth year as he stepped into the dorm room. “Nothing Professor,” you said, now petting the snake's head with your finger. “Nothing?” the sixth year asked, exasperated. “Professor, she put a live snake in my bed.” “For one: no I didn’t,” you started. You could see Snape was getting more annoyed with every passing second. “Two: it’s harmless. It couldn’t hurt you if it tried. Three: we live in an old castle. There’s bound to be little creatures everywhere.” The girl was about to protest again, but Snape seemed to have had enough. “Just get the snake out of here and go back to your own dorm room.” He looked at you with contempt. “Would you like to take him, Professor?” you asked, holding the snake up towards his face. He recoiled a bit at the proximity of the creature to his face. You had to try very hard to stifle a laugh. “No,” he said and walked out, back through the crowd of students. The students started to disperse now, sensing the fun to be over. You waited until most of them had left to turn back to your upperclassman. She started to speak before you could. “I know you did this, you evil-” “You’re right,” you cut her off. “I did do it. Maybe don’t talk so openly about your fears next time.” She went to speak again, but you stopped her by holding your wand up towards her. “Now, know this: if you ever talk badly about the Weasleys in my presence I won’t be afraid to hex you. That includes Percy and Charlie. And honestly, I don’t care if I get expelled for it either.” She tried to hide the step back she took by saying “ I will never be afraid of you.” “Sure,” you said, finally dropping the snake in your pocket and heading back to the common room. Adrian was waiting for you. “What did you do?” he whispered as you both walked back to sit on the couch. You ignored him for a bit, instead searching the room. You found a basket that was full of old books and emptied it. Sitting on the couch, you put the basket on the floor between your legs. “I didn’t do anything,” you said, taking the snake out of your pocket again. “He did.” You smiled at the small creature as you set him in the bottom of the basket. “You scared that girl with a snake?” Adrian whispered. You shrugged and whispered back. “All I did was put a harmless little creature in someone’s bed. Not my fault that she was afraid of him.” Adrian sat back into the couch with a short laugh. “What’re you gonna do with it now?” “I’ll bring it back to the garden I found it in in the morning.” “You really are quite smart with your pranks and sabotage,” he said, looking from you to the basket. You turned to look at him, the widest smile on your face. “Thank you.” ------------------ The next morning you were going to skip breakfast and head right down to Hagrid’s garden, but you spotted George and Fred in the Great Hall. A mischievous idea formed in your brain and there was no way you could ignore it. The twins were sitting opposite each other, so George was bound to notice your presence as you snuck down the rows of tables behind Fred. Right when his eyes landed on you, you made sure to put your finger up to your lips, telling him to be quiet. You were right behind Fred, George pretending to ignore that you were there. You slipped the snake quietly out of your pocket and gently set it’s head on Fred’s shoulder. It slowly crawled further on until you were able to let go. It was hard to stifle your laughter as Fred reached up to itch his shoulder. When his hand touched the body of the snake, his head whipped around and he let out a scream that caught the attention of the many students around him. You reached out quickly to grab the snake before he could hurt it. “That was finally payback for the shoelace incident in Diagon Alley,” you said as you sat down next to him. “That’s not fair!” Fred protested. “George told you about that, so it didn’t even work. Some brother he is. I know he saw you behind me.” “Yes, but he likes me more than he likes you,” you said, giving George a wink. “I’m his brother!” Fred continued to argue. You shrugged your shoulders as you grabbed a piece of toast from his plate. You looked across the table at his brother. “Georgie.” “Hhmm?” George said through a mouthful of food. “Would you care to accompany your favorite person down to Hagrid’s garden?” you asked him. “I’ll tell you all about how Fred’s scared face looked even funnier than the girl’s last night.” “I would love to,” he said with a laugh and stood up. Fred grumbled in disagreement as you walked away. You both made your way out of the Great Hall. You heard your name being called as you neared the front doors of the castle and turned to look for the speaker. You could see Adrian walking towards you. As he got closer to you he looked at the creature that you were carrying in your hand. “I see you haven’t brought him back home yet,” Adrian said, petting the snake’s head. “George and I were just about to,” you informed him. You looked between George and Adrian. George was staring at Adrian, while Adrian had most of his attention set to the snake. “Have you two met?” “No,” George said shortly. “Oh,” you said, looking at George, confused in his sudden change in attitude. “George Weasley, Adrian Pucey. Adrian, George.” Adrian turned from the snake and stuck his hand out towards George. “We were bound to meet eventually. You’re on the Gryffindor quidditch team right?” George shook Adrian’s hand, but it was a short and sharp shake. “Yes, me and my brother are beaters.” “Adrian’s one of the best chasers that Slytherin’s seen in a long time,” you informed George. “Maybe, but I’m sure Gryffindor’s are better,” George said with a sour laugh. “Okay,” you said, a little awkward now. “Well, we better get going, Adrian. I’ll see you in class.” You grabbed George’s arm and shoved him out the front door. You waited until you were down the front steps before you finally decided to speak to him again. “What the hell was that, George?” You stopped walking in front of him and turned to be face to face. “What was what?” he feigned ignorance, but refused to look you in the eye. “That little attitude you had back there,” you told him. “I would prefer it if you could get along with Adrian. He’s honestly my only housemate that I like.” George let out a sigh at that, and you could see his body relax. He knew how you felt about your housemates, about how they were one of the few things that made you unsure of yourself at times. “Okay, maybe I got a little mad that you told Adrian about your plan before you told me,” George admitted. You let out a laugh. “George!” “What?” He snapped his head to look at you. “He was in the common room when it happened. I really had no choice but to tell him. I wasn’t gonna lie to my friend.” You grabbed George’s hand and held up the snake as close to his face as you dared. “Now will you apologize to this poor creature before you hurt it’s feelings even more?” He looked at the snake for half a second before he said, “Fine.” He turned to look at you. “I’m sorry that I acted like a jerk. I will not be apologizing to an animal though.” You laughed again and held tighter onto his hand. You turned to start down the hill again. “Now I’ll tell you all about last night, Georgie.”

Like her - Bucky Barnes [IV]
Hey guys! Part four and honestly, it’s gonna get a bit messy.. next chapter is going to be a key-point. Again, if you want to be tagged or drop by and give me an idea about this series, please do let me know! Word Count~2k. MASTERLIST Part I | Part II | Part III
Suddenly she realized that what she was regretting was not the lost past but the lost future, not what had not been but what would never be. But she had no excuse to continue down that path – she was looking at the break of dawn. Sleep had been avoiding her but it wasn’t sleep’s fault – she was too tired for that. She had been waiting for the day her heart would be free and light as a feather - she was fooling herself. She was doing that thing again, where she started pushing people away. Where she was showing them a glimpse into who she was and why she was the way she was. She was scared they would turn their backs on her. She was scared that when she would need them the most they wouldn’t be there. She was falling so hard and so fast and she knew how it was going to end, she was going to hit the pavement because everyone who had ever promised to catch her, had left. So, she did the only thing she knew how to and that happened to be how to push people away. She became distant, didn’t answer as much as she used to, she hoped he would get the message and leave, so she wouldn’t have to worry about hurting him. She felt so broken and was slowly trying to pick up the pieces. She was actually more worried about dragging them down with her than the other way around. She was no hero – they had their share in that department. She closed her eyes just for a few seconds and exhaled a long overdue breath. Another day, another try. She had been roaming the house like a ghost. She knew that they were awake – or taking turns, to keep an eye and an ear on her, but she couldn’t care less. The strong smell of the coffee filled her lungs and she welcomed the familiarity of the simplicity. Diving into the cup of freshly pressed and brewed coffee, she almost forgot the situation she had put herself into. “You didn’t sleep all night” a hoarse voice remarked. She smiled inside the cup and without turning to check who it was, she answered. “Neither did you”. He was impressed by her confident after the last time they had talked. He had pushed her and he acknowledged that – but she erupted like a volcano. She moved slightly to the left, so he could make his cup of coffee, but didn’t left the spot – it had a wonderful view of the sea and the horizon. Her eyes never left the image outside, but his traveled along her face, studying her through brief glances. Once he realized what he was doing, he focused immensely on the coffee, trying to ignore her soft vanilla scent. “Why is every tree covered with… mattresses?” she asked perplexed. For a second there, he was lost in the way words flowed, without actually listening to her. He cleared his throat, obnoxiously loud and took a sip of his coffee before replying. “Sam was practicing with the shield” he informed her casually. Her eyebrows shot to the heavens and a smile made its way to her lips. “It’s not a Frisbee. Poor trees” she commented with ease. She was sarcastic but in a way that made him want to come up with more lines, just to listen to her comebacks. No, no, no. No. The silence, this time was not as awkward as it was before. Granted, it had only been a day, but she didn’t do what she usually did in a day. He didn’t trust her still, not fully. And she didn’t trust them, not fully. They had to go slow, to get to know one another, to be able to trust that when they found Zemo, no one was betraying the other. “Could I possibly have my phone back?” she asked after a while. He simply replied with a nope. She inhaled sharply and tried again. “I have to check my emails, James. And my computer is not connecting to any wi-fi here, so… could I possibly have my phone back?” she restated her question, leaving him little to no room for a negative answer. He put his mug down, and turned to her with his eyebrow arched. “I’ll supervise” he stated. He wouldn’t badge about it and she knew. It was the best offer she was going to get. She locked her eyes with his. Such a clear gray-ish blue, she could see her reflection. “Fine” she accepted and he got the phone out of his damn pocket, leaving her with an open mouth in disbelief. To think that she could have kicked him and get it herself. He handed to her and went right next to her, eyes on the screen at all times. She opened her data and her phone was catching up on all of the notifications she had missed. A single cough was enough for her to dismiss them all. At last, she opened up her email app to check if she had received any kind of update to her application, secretly wishing not to. When she saw the single email, she had been craving her entire life, which was basically an acceptance letter from her favorite University to perform her research, she felt as if the universe was playing her on purpose. Bucky re ad the email and was more than shocked that she was such a highly valued academic researcher. And then he looked at her, crushed. He thought she would be thrilled about that – but all he saw was sadness and disappointment. She closed the data, dismissed the applications and handed it back to him, without even looking at him. Grabbing her cup, she refilled it, in silence and went to sit on the couch. He was about to say something when it hit him. It was everything she wanted and she had actually achieved it – only for it to be taken away by the situation. She was having her dreams crushed once again and he couldn’t do anything. Maybe, he could say something nice. Maybe he didn’t have to be brooding all the time. He walked up to her, waiting for her to acknowledge him, not wanting to invade her privacy. But she didn’t and he was curious. He sat down next to her; her whole body was facing the other way. She was making it even more difficult than it already was. “Soon, you won’t even remember this and you will be conduction your research” he tried to smooth things over but when she turned to face him, his entire face fell. He wasn’t used to that much honesty. Tears were on the verge of spilling and she looked dead. “No. I never was lucky, that’s why I was strategic. But this time… I am the target of a cruel joke. It’s fine. Everything is fine” she concluded, closing her eyes for several seconds, to recollect herself. She would just not think about it. He had nothing to say to that; he felt bad for her, for the first time since he had been introduced to her, he truly felt bad. Maybe it was seconds, maybe it was minutes or hours, until Sam joined them. Silence was her go-to place; however, her mind hadn’t shut up about anything. A million scenarios had already been processed by her intuition and her logic. Why did Zemo want her? Why was he sending her Bucky’s personal stuff from before? Why hadn’t he delivered? Who was she? Before Sam could open his mouth, she had already planned their next few moves. She had to be organized and plan everything out; even when things didn’t go as planned, she had already explored that possibility and that was why she never ran out of plans. “I’ll call him. Make him believe that I will deliver you to him. Set up a meeting. We’ll stage everything. Even if he doesn’t believe me, we’ll sent proof. He’ll bite. After all, he is still looking for revenge. And what better way to start your evil plot, than taking down two of the people who put you in a cell?” she mapped out their strategic positions. She had a very scary mind, they thought. It felt that it came to her as easy as breathing. But then again, who were they to judge? “Good morning to you too” Sam mocked her but in reality, he was pretty convinced by her plan. She didn’t even listen to him and neither did Bucky. They had been having this little dance of letting go and pulling back. Their limits were testing each other. Could he trust her not to actually deliver them to him? He would never admit it but he was afraid of what it might happen if those god-damn words were spoken again. In theory, he was no longer affected by them – but what if? As if she had read his thoughts, she slowly nodded, leaving Sam even more confused. “We’ll use that too. Lead him on, just to get him where we want” she assured him but he still was reluctant. How was it possible that she had already planned that too? “What if they work?” he voiced his fear out loud for the first time in a very long time and Sam quickly caught on, but didn’t interfere. He wanted to see the dynamics between them. “I won’t let him” she said with a fierce tone he hadn’t heard before. It was a combination of Steve’s certainty during a pep talk and the aggressiveness of Tony when he thought he was right. Maybe, he could trust her. Sam saw through his inhibitions and understood that he wanted to trust her more than he had let on. With a smirk on his face, he tapped on Bucky’s shoulder to make his presence known again, because it felt as if they had no idea, he was standing there all this time. “Okay, we’re going with that plan” he admitted and reassured both of them. He was not entirely sure about her intentions as well, but the look she was giving to Bucky told him a lot more than what he needed to know. She looked at him like she didn’t expect him to trust her that much and she felt grateful because for once in her life she was being taken into account before being sent out like a monster. “I will get us an untraceable number and we can begin. It might take some time though” he continued. Well, that was better than nothing, she thought. As he was walking away, he did mention something that could potentially turn out worse than she would have expected. “Three things. I am out for my run. We are going shopping later on. Until we get to Zemo, you train” he counted before she could protest about a single thing, he was already out of the house. She left Bucky on the couch as she walked upstairs, not bothering to look twice. He had no words to describe how shitty his day was and it hadn’t even ended yet.

A3! And What Sports They’d Play ↦ All Troupes
So.. I was talking to a friend about the sports we used to play in the past. I loved sports as a kid and thinking of Haikyu also pushed me to do this. All troupes are included, and individual characters gets their own sport and my take on how well I think they’d do in it!
Kind of went off on Autumn and Winter Troupe;; sorry.
Uh, E-Sports, of course. He gets absolutely winded from walking, so sitting down and competitively playing a game he loves is his dream. On particularly intense matches, he breaks a heavy sweat and needs a lot of water and snacks to keep himself focused and in the game.
He's a popular player and a great one as well! Sometimes he gets asked to host little bits of the tournaments he attends because he has such a big fanbase and he's awesome at entertainment despite his normally deadpan tone with jokes.
He has a lot of energy, so I think running in track or doing marathons would be good for him. Afterall, he's one of the first to run after Tsuzuru in the prologue of the game. He isn't the best nor is he the fastest runner, but his stamina is impressive and lets him outlast many of his competitors.
I also see him doing kayaking? Not competitively, but he definitely loves the thrill of crashing down small waterfalls and regaining his balance right after. The flow of the currents is exhilarating and he has a good sense of balance, so he'd rarely overturn in a kayak (which is absolutely dangerous by the way).
He wouldn't do any competitive sports, but skate/longboarding is something I can definitely see him doing. If he needs time to himself or just simply wants to chill, he'll go out and enjoy the breeze as he boards down the bike lane in the park or on the road, hands in pockets.
He becomes a bit of an attraction at skate parks though. He's always seen there on his board, headphones donned and hands in pockets like I said; effortlessly performing tricks that a lot of other skaters would struggle doing. People are very attracted to the sight, and he lures them in whenever someone finds out he's at the park that day.
He's already suffering so much and is always tired— I wouldn't put it past him to play shuffleboard. It's not a laborious sport, and he can play with anyone like his siblings or any elders who need the company. It's a slow paced sport and is great for sleepy Tsuzuru who needs a break from scrip writing. I don't know if there were any canon stories of him actually being involved in a sport at some point, but I think he'd be pretty okay at tennis or table tennis.
Tennis is a very intense sport so he didn't play it for long because practice cut into his studying, his part-time jobs, and his babysitting. Table tennis is similar to tennis with it's concept, except you can just kind of stand in one spot and don't have to run around as much. It's a fun game to play with his siblings since they enjoy it so much, and they always run after the ball so he doesn't have to do much other than play along with them and clean up when they're done.
I honestly have no idea with Citron. I don't remember any canon details of Zahra (I think that's where he's from?) so I don't want to assume what kind of environment he was in that would influence his choice of athletics, but I think he would enjoy swimming! In the beach event, he ran into the water happily with Kazunari if I can remember, and I'd like to think he had a good body type for water.
There's also another part of me that thinks he'd love skydiving! The thrill of jumping out of the helicopter and letting the winds beat against him as he soared down towards the ground below would be awesome. He's practically shouting for joy as he glides down and loves the look of the city from above. Impressively enough, he can do flips in the air and loves twirling around, much to the dismay of other skydivers as they fear for him.
He's not one for actively moving, but ballet seemed interesting to him and he wanted to try it out. He had no idea how intense ballet was, from strict teachers, to getting blisters on his ankles and feet, Yuki actually almost quit. What prevented him from doing so was probably watching a performance where his seniors were giving the juniors an extravagant scene to watch and they inspired Yuki to keep going.
I would have said acrobatics/gymnastics as well, but Yuki's arms aren't very strong and he doesn't like doing flashy things like that anyways (no offense...? I don't know, I haven't watched videos of this sport in years). If he did pursue acrobatics/gymnastics, I'm not sure if he'd be amazing at it, but he would definitely be decent! He's got the flare;;
Running! Since he was in track for a while and was rumoured to be great at it, he would definitely be doing marathons and track alongside Sakuya. He had great speed and a stamina to match so he's a terribly good opponent to go against if you like to get pushed past your limits. If he kept pursuing track he would train during late nights and early morning with Tasuku, who has his routine jogs at those times.
Absolutely adores the sport too! His team of runners were basically second family to him, so if he chose to return, he would have the time of his life growing as a sportsman with them. He would grow into a fine and very popular runner! Hitting his growth spurt would only make him an even more fearsome competitor as his legs would get longer and his intense training with Omi and Tasuku would get his stamina maxed out.
He has no time to do sports since he's always acting, so I honestly can't say what he'd do. He isn't the best runner either and extreme sports is out of the question since he's a bit of a scaredy cat. I guess he would enjoy a casual game of table tennis though? But despite liking the sport, I'm going to say that he kind of sucks at it. He understands the rules and everything, but his rhythm is off and he never manages to hit the ball back.
He's good at receiving a strike back though! He's always lucky at standing in the right spot with his paddle in the correct position to receive a smash hit, and that's basically the only time he wins a point because he catches his opponent off guard. It doesn't happen often though, so he still gets absolutely destroyed during a game of table tennis.
I believe Misumi would be amazing at track & field. He runs extremely fast for one, and he does parkour like no other; he would definitely place first in sports like long jump, high jump, pole vault, and sprints. He doesn't have a particular favourite event to do though, but always does his best when someone gives him an incentive to do his best.
Izumi and Omi offer him triangle onigiri? He's going to run as fast as he can! Jump as high as he can and as far as he can! No one will be able to stop Misumi. But then again, competitive parkour is a thing, I'm pretty sure, so he can just do that sport for fun and still place in the top 3 at least. He would be terrible awesome at Ultimate Frisbee, but the disc isn't a triangle, so. :p
Him? Sports? No.
I'm kidding. Do not know at all what sport he would enjoy playing, but billiards is something that suits him in my opinion. It doesn't have to be competitive, but he's greatly skilled at handling a cue stick, and his aim is impeccable. He's real lucky with trick-shots too, so don't go and start betting money with him; you'll definitely splurge all of your cash on him within seconds.
Sigh. It's super annoying that he's good at everything, and sports are no exception. He plays futsal with Omi and Tasuku the most, and is very light on his feet. He's so good that during competitive games he'll do a trickshot and score, or will play around with his check and do something like dribble the ball between their legs when they're at their most vulnerable.
I'm sure he would fall in love with ice hockey, though. Ice hockey is fast paced and is a contact sport so Banri would feel free on the ice rink. Good thing is that he's pretty good looking, so he's a fan favourite player. The cold air biting into his skin as he pushes himself across the rink to get to the puck is exciting and he loves body checking opponents into the walls (this also makes him a controversial player since he plays rough and dirty).
He'd be a monster at competitive martial arts. Taekwondo especially, considering his kicks come in hot and fast. His spinning kicks are ones to avoid if you go against him, but he's so quick on his feet and can kick higher than his head so you might get a quick KO if you can't read his body language fast enough. Judo is also high on the list despite it being more of a grappling and throwing sport, but Juza's quick reflexes make him a difficult opponent to beat. Normally wins a match using jiu-jitsu grappling techniques on the floor.
He would also be great at ice hockey. His large figure and quick feet would make him a great player, and his posture is always low to the ground so it wouldn't be easy to knock him over on the rink. Not exactly the best at dribbling the puck though, but give him a one-timer when he's open and he'll send that thing flying through the net. No one tries to pick fights with him on the rink though lol, he's notorious for one hit ko's.
Taichi gives off the chaotic vibes of Nishinoya from Haikyu, but he would suck at volleyball so I'm giving him badminton cause height doesn't matter too much I think as long as he's quick on his feet and is able to read the body language of his opponents well. His form would be perfect though and he's super agile so getting to that shuttlecock is no problem for him. He's got a bit of muscle too so he can send those babies flying!
Doesn't really use strategy most of the time, so he'll just keep hitting and receiving the shuttlecock however he wants until his opponent tires or until someone messed up a smash. No one else in Mankai plays badminton so finding him a coach is a bit difficult. He eventually learns other ways to hit the shuttlecock, so when he learns how to slice or do drop shots, he's a little monster on the court!
Oh, the sports he would play.. Obviously, he plays futsal with Tasuku unless you haven't seen his card where he's playing as goalkeeper! With that information, he would absolutely destroy volleyball teams as a middle. Now I don't know if calling middles 'middle blocker' and outside hitters 'wing spikers' is like.. a cultural thing, and I know that's what they call the players in Haikyu, but it definitely catches me off guard and really confused lol. So, yeah! Omi would be amazing as a middle in the front since he's so tall and can shuffle fast on his feet to block a front row opponent. He's like Tendou in a way where he's great at reading people, the only thing is that he's better than Tendou (no offense, I'm serious) because he doesn't need to guess. He already knows. UGH, I want to go off on volleyball (both indoor & outdoor), but this part is getting long. Lmk if you want to hear me talk more about A3! & volleyball.
American football/rugby. Don't tell me I'm wrong please, I'll cry. Both of these are a full contact sport, and looking at Omi's past and his physical structure, you can't tell me he would not obliterate everyone on the field. He is either the offensive guard or the tackle. He will not start offensive plays, but he will end defensive plays. He stops any player from tackling their centre and tackles those who try to hit a blindside. I don't know much about rugby other than it is just as rough as American Football, just with less protective gear. I'm stopping here because I'm thirsting too much for Omi rn.
HOO, baby! When I looked at Sakyo, I just knew he would be able to do something with swords, so I chose kendo/fencing. Keno is a traditional martial art stemming from Japan and is practised with wooden swords. I won't say I know much about the sport, but it is definitely tense and is very noisy. Noisy because kendokas/kenshis shout whenever they strike, this is to show their spirit. Sakyo kind of hates shouting during the sport, but it definitely lets off some steam and gives him more momentum when he strikes.
I also think fencing because there are swords involved here too, it's just that it seems to be more of a European sport and has some sort of specific footwork involved. The piste may seem a bit narrow as well compared to kendo where they have a whole floor to themselves, so Sakyo doesn't practice fencing as often. (The clothing he's required to wear for this sport is also quite stifling as well.)
I'm ngl, but I didn't know what sport to give Tsumugi, omg, so I ended up giving him cup stacking. You know, you remember; I feel like you should do some research if you don't though because cup stacking was a huge thing in the early 2000's (?) and kids were setting world records here and there non-stop. Tsumugi uses his hands a lot for things like gardening, tutoring, bouquet arranging, etc, so he's deft and talented with them.
As long as he puts his mind to it, cup stacking is a piece of cake for him. He doesn't play anymore, but every now and then he'll look at his old kit in the corner of his room and will set it up with Tasuku in the lounge room for everyone to have a go at it. He loves the thrill and the way his adrenaline runs through his veins as he focuses on trying not to mess up the stack down.
HOOOO! Okay, so we already know Tasuku plays futsal so I'm not going to bother, but man.. He would be the same as Omi in volleyball; an absolute monster of a middle player. He's well rounded in the sport, so his coaches/team actually refuse to switch him out with a libero/defence specialist. His digs are almost on point with the setter, and he's always at the right spot when receiving, making sure no one gets an empty spot on the court.
When he's in the front blocking or hitting, he's almost always successful, and since he trains a lot with different drills and regimes, he perfects a lot of things like tipping, tooling, slicing, and even setting. His height added along with his vertical makes it almost impossible for opponents to block him, and when he's feeling good in a game, he'll start doing things like float serves and jump serves. If he's feeling any better, he'll play around and start doing slide hits at the front or will hit from position A on the back court (left corner facing the net). He'd also do swimming!!!!!!!!! BUT THIS IS GETTING TOO LONG
Definitely would do archery/darts. He's got impeccable aim if you take evidence from his outside work chats with Banri and has no problem pulling the string on a bow. Archery is difficult and I am not lying. Pulling the string until it's taut takes a large amount of strength and it digs deep into your fingertips, leaving calluses after one or two pulls.
Figuring out the trajectory and weighing in the factors of weather (if you're outside) takes a lot of skill and practice, and Hisoka always manages to hit the centre of the target with no hesitancy with his release of the string. His hands are all rough from the string digging into his fingers all the time, showing you how long he's been practising the sport.
I don't think Homare was very athletic growing up. I'm saying this only because his body type is quite lean and he's a poet after all who seems to stay inside more often than not if he isn't meeting with an editor/publisher. I think figure skating would suit him very well as it is an elegant and cold weathered sport. I also think he would fall in love with the suits if Yuki made them as they'd sparkle brilliantly and show off his flare as a skater.
He figure skates as a casual hobby rather than competitive, but he definitely makes a lot of famous friends in the community due to his whimsical personality and beautiful posture.
Kyudo (Japanese archery) was a sport that popped into my mind for Azuma, despite the strain it puts on the skin of his fingertips. His skin is very delicate with how much he takes care of it, so he wears a glove on his dominant hand to protect him. Kyudo seems to be more of a peaceful archery, and with the sight of Azuma in the kyudo uniform, the scene in front of you would be quite serene and calming.
I also think he would be great at figure skating since his body is lithe and he has lovely facial features that would complement the body suits that Yuki would create for him. His long hair flowing in the breeze he creates as he glides throughout the rink would be gorgeous along with the way his body looks as he does an axle in the air. His performances on the rink are always mesmerising, and he'll receive a few claps from fellow rink goers when he's in the centre just casually practising.
