❌ (n.sfw) sexual tension while tending his wounds w/ Eustass Kid
a/n: requested by @dxvilmanlev <3 aaahhh writing this sent me down bad into Kid hell, can't deny that. he's an angry little man but i'm very fond of him. want to put him in my pocket so he can yell at strangers who give me weird looks.
contains: gn!reader, n.sfw under the cut (not full on smut but very suggestive), mention of blood, dirty talk, heavy petting
word count: 933
Tumblr media
“That’s nothing. You should have seen the enemies though.”
Kid tries hard not to flinch when you gently dab his bruised cheek with an alcohol-soaked cotton pad. You can tell that he was still high from the adrenaline rushing through his veins by the way he was fidgeting around in his chair, gesturing heavily with both hands. You duck from the metal arm swinging around and grab your utensils on the desk, can’t risk another shattered bottle of disinfectant.
While the rest of the crew was being treated in the infirmary like normal people, Kid had to burst into your shared cabin and tell you all about the fight, bleeding from several wounds but with a triumphant smile on his painted lips which reminded you once again why you had fallen for him in the first place. It was his pride and his joy, his strength and the roughness of his edges that softened whenever he was with you, when he let down his guard. He may bite but it was with love. And granted, it turned you on a bit.
You gently grab him by his chin to turn his face how you needed it, checking carefully if you missed a spot. His stern gaze lingered on you but he didn’t protest, a sly smile curling on his lips when your thumb brushes them, tracing the smeared lipstick.
“Like what you see, babe?” – “My throne, all beaten up? Barely.”
Kid growls and wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you into his lap with ease. You’re mine. He leans back in his chair a little, giving you room to straddle him with your hands on his broad chest which he never bothered to cover, fortunately. You let your fingertips run over his skin, carefully inspecting his bruises. They were not that deep, but enough to draw out a sharp breath off Kid when you dab them carefully with a cotton pad. You both didn’t shy away from being rough, but the claw marks you usually left on his skin weren’t that bad.
Your fingertips brush his lower abs and you grin when he pulls you closer, bucking his hips a little. If he weren’t holding you in such a tight grip your hips would be drawing small circles in his lap already, grinding up and down on his thigh. He must still feel the throbbing arousal between your legs though, because he buries one hand in your hair and gently pulls you closer to his face by it, smirking when you let out a small gasp that is muffled by his lips meeting yours. Kid’s kisses were hungry and fiery, always leaving you begging for more until you moaned in his open mouth.
The cold metal of his mechanic arm runs down from your waist to your ass where your skin still remembers the sharpness of the pain his hand once left there. It makes you tremble in excitement and doesn’t go unnoticed.
“You’re trying to seduce a bruised man?”, he teases you, his voice cocky. You bite your lip and shake your head. Of course you weren’t, but you also had to admit that seeing him that rough and holding still under your touch gave you quite some feelings…
His hand glides from your ass to between your legs from behind, forcing them further apart. You hiss when the metal touches you through the thin fabric of your pants and your hips start moving on their own, finally free from his tight grip.
“At least that part of you is honest.”
You shut him up with another kiss, deep and greedy, your tongue slipping between his lips followed by two fingers as you draw out another groan from him. He was getting hard, you could feel him against your leg as you grinded on his thigh and metal hand. His bloody visage only turned you on more, the thought of knowing what beast was possessing this body and how hungry it was for you. How he could utterly destroy you if he wanted to, like fucking with fire.
You want him to devour you.
Just when Kid was about to unbuckle his belt to pull down his pants, your arms wrapped around his neck, hands buried in this red hair with your chest heaving, a knock on the door interrupts you. Kid barks a few curse words and tells the person to fuck off, that you were busy right now while you lick down his sweaty neck, when Killer’s voice from the other side of the door calls out to you.
“I made fresh pasta. Thought you could need some fuel.”
Kid and you exchange a glimpse, just when his stomach rumbles. It was hard to say No to Killer’s pasta, but there was also another hard situation to deal with here…
“Actually, I could use some fuel, you know. To fuck you longer and harder later?” – “I’m so glad you’re saying that because I’m starving.”
And just like that he grabs you and throws you over his shoulder, stomping outside determined, giving Killer the finger when he dares to point out the hard-on in Kid’s pants, guiding him the way to the kitchen. You just shrug apologetically, dangling over his back like that, and can’t help but smile about the whole situation.
Sure, you like to fuck, but you also love to be well-fed, leaning onto your lover as he spoons you a portion the size of your head in your bowl, deeply caring about you. You need all the energy you can get to withstand his cock later tonight…

man ok so you know the spiciness scale on menus that show you how spicy a dish is so you can order based on your tolerance. can we have that for sauces too please
#im being serious btw. the sauce to rice ratio is very important and sacred to me#whenever i eat at home i get to choose how much sauce i can have with my rice because i dont like absolutely dousing it but i still wanna b#able to taste it yanno. i dont do well with slippery/saucy foods and ive given up trying to understand it. it might be a sensory thing#i am so sorry to admit this on the soup website but i cant handle thick/chunky sauces or curry. forgive me#the worst part is that i actually can handle and even enjoy some like caldereta and congee. but its so hard to tell people ill eat this but#not that.. its embarassing because it feels like im making exceptions. which i am!! because its preference!! but alas#but anyway with the sauce scale. i was thinking it would be nice to include a scale for how much sauce you want with a dish#rather than just skirting away from a food because you feel like you cant handle the texture or feel unsure about it#sauce could be adjustable without completely changing the recipe so it would be more like a matter of quantity or serving size#also i feel like i can make cool names for the scale. like “light drizzle” to “sauceageddon”#im asian so when i eat sauce i pair it with rice and it works because the rice kind of cancels out or makes the sauce more tolerable for me#with caldereta i make it an even 50/50 because i can taste it in the rice without the texture getting in the way#but with pasta and sauce its normally 1/3 sauce because the pasta normally isnt enough to cancel it out#i also grew up with relatives making fun of my eating habits and i really really hate eating at restaurants and gatherings because of it#maybe its because they want to make sure im eating right but!! you dont have to call me out for my 1/3 portion of spaghetti sauce!! damn!!!#anyway im not sure if anyone feels the same abt this and maybe its just me. but it would be really nice to have this a normal thing#without judging ppl for their eating habits and preferences. on god#yapping#food ment#EDIT: ASKING FOR SAUCE ON THE SIDE. MY EYES HAVE BEEN OPENED. I DIDNT KNOW THAT WAS A THING

Healthy Mac and Cheese - 198 kcal/3g protein
Tumblr media
Servings: 8 - 198 kcal/3g protein per 1/2 cup serving
8 oz. whole-wheat or brown rice elbow macaroni
3 wedges of laughing cow light cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
6 oz (¾ cup) fat-free evaporated milk
2 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon dry mustard
Black pepper, to taste
Pinch of cayenne pepper, optional
Cook the Noodles: Boil the noodles according to package directions (about 8-9 minutes) until cooked to the desired tenderness. Drain noodles and return to the pot.
Add Butter and Laughing Cow Cheese: Set the stove to low heat. Add the butter and Laughing Cow Cheese to the hot noodles and stir until melted.
Add Milk, Shredded Cheese, and Seasonings: Add the evaporated milk, shredded cheddar, salt, pepper, dry mustard, and pinch of cayenne pepper. Stir until mixed well.
Cook the Sauce: set the stovetop to medium-low. Stir and simmer the mac and cheese until all of the cheese is melted and the sauce reaches the desired thickness.
Serve: serve hot! Optionally top with parmesan cheese or additional shredded cheddar.
NOTES
Instant Pot Instructions: To make the noodles in the Instant Pot, add 2 cups of water and the elbow noodles to the Instant Pot. Cook for 4 minutes high pressure, followed by a quick release. There is no need to drain the water (most of it should have been absorbed into the noodles). Set the Instant Pot to Saute Low heat and follow steps 2-4 to make the cheese sauce.
Add-ins: To make it a meal, top with chicken and veggies of your choice! Check out the post above for ideas for toppings.

National Macaroni Day
Each year, the nation gets its fix of the beloved pasta, macaroni, as we celebrate National Macaroni Day on July 7. This little elbow-shaped pasta is such a fan-favorite that it gets its own day of celebration. As it should! Apparently, macaroni is the most common form of pasta in the U.S. So on this day, let’s all come together to show our love for the humble and versatile macaroni.
History of National Macaroni Day
The origins of pasta, and macaroni, are not very clear. Records indicate pasta might have originated in China, instead of in Italy as is commonly believed.
The word ‘macaroni’ itself has had varied meanings to different people over time. The International Pasta Organisation traced the word to the Greeks who had established the colony of Neopolis (modern-day Naples). They had appropriated a local dish made from barley-flour pasta and water called ‘makaria.’ Cookbooks in the 14th or 15th century contained the initial mentions of macaroni-like dishes and how to make them, but these noodles were much longer than the short elbow macaroni we now use. Recipes in later centuries catered to the tastes and palettes of the regions they came from, and all were slightly different variations of the macaroni we know today.
As more of the world came into contact with various cultures, different types of pasta were introduced to the colonies. People began to fall in love with this doughy noodle. The American Ambassador to France, Thomas Jefferson, first tasted pasta in Naples, Italy. He even brought back a pasta-making machine to the U.S., and this inspired him to design a machine of his own, one with instructions for making pasta. The American love affair with pasta continued to boom throughout the 19th century.
National Macaroni Day timeline
2000 B.C.–10000 B.C.The Greeks Establish a Colony
The Greeks establish a colony in Naples and appropriate a local dish called ‘makaria,’ which might have been the inspiration for the word 'macaroni'.
5000 B.C.Pasta is Born (Maybe)
Some food historians believe pasta originated in this period, in China.
1465First Published Record of Pasta and Cheese
Author and epicure Maestro Martino publishes a landmark cookbook, “Libro de Arte Coquinaria,” which contains several pasta dishes, some paired with cheese.
1789Thomas Jefferson and His Pasta Maker
Thomas Jefferson brings a 'macaroni' maker to the U.S. after he visits Europe as the ambassador to France.
1872Macaroni as We Know It
Author and food historian Paul Imhof believes the world's first commercial production of macaroni as we know it today — short, hollow, and elbow-shaped — was not in Italy but in Switzerland.
1904A Society is Born
The predecessor to today's National Pasta Association — the National Association of Macaroni and Noodle Manufacturers of America — is formed.
National Macaroni Day FAQs
Is macaroni good for health?
The pasta is made from durum wheat, which is a good source of energy and carbs and even has small amounts of fiber. However, the presence of nutrients depends on the manufacturing process of the brand of pasta you choose.
What is the difference between pasta and macaroni?
The only thing differentiating all pasta from macaroni specifically is the shape. Macaroni has a distinctive tube-like shape and is bent like an elbow. Otherwise, even the dough to make pasta is traditionally the same.
Is there a Mac and Cheese Day?
Yes, National Mac and Cheese Day is celebrated on July 14 each year.
How To Celebrate National Macaroni Day
Experiment in the kitchen
Experiment outside the kitchen
Organize a macaroni cook-off
This versatile ingredient can be used in everything from soups and casseroles to hot dishes and salads. So why not go wild experimenting with different ways to play with macaroni recipes. You can make a macaroni-crusted lasagna, a macaroni pizza with the base being baked mac and cheese, or even macaroni and cream dessert. Whether you are a vegetarian or a meat-lover, there is a fun macaroni recipe for everyone to try out.
Macaroni is not just for eating. There are ways to play with it too! For those with kids (or those who are kids at heart), make fun new art and craft projects with macaroni. You can dye the pasta in different colors and string them into jewelry or glue them onto boxes for a DIY decoration project. Let the kids go wild creating their own fabulous works of art!
Challenge friends and family to a friendly macaroni-themed cook-off. The best macaroni dish wins. You can take this one step further and create categories for the most inventive recipes.

In the 1700s, fashionable men who wore expensive Italian clothes were called 'macaronies,' which is another word for 'dandies'.
The distinctive yellow feathered crest on the macaroni penguin’s head that resembles the hats worn by fashionable men from the 1700s inspired this bird's name.
A study by the Animal Behavior Society showed city-dwelling rats prefer macaroni and cheese above anything else.
Why We Love National Macaroni Day
It is a taste of childhood
It makes mealtimes easier
It is oh so delicious
This humble pasta has played a major role in our lives, appearing as comfort food, warming meals when we were sick, and as our kindergarten art. All pasta is mouthwatering, but there is something special about this elbow-shaped one that takes us straight back to our childhood and those fond memories.
Making store-bought macaroni (and other pasta) is extremely easy. Many macaroni-based dishes can be cooked ahead and stored, making mealtimes much less stressful. Macaroni can also be used to stretch the quantity of food to feed more people.
This pasta goes with a lot of different cuisines and ingredients with absolutely no problem and makes it taste even better. On its own, macaroni looks unassuming, but the right flavors turn a simple dish into a powerhouse. We love how this pasta makes us feel like master chefs with very little effort.

Scampi, guacamole, mango salsa, halloumi burrito thingy
Oven cooked breaded scampi
Guac- avocado I bought on a whim, mustard I have a full jar of that I need to figure out how to use up, honey in way too big a bottle that is starting to srystalise, lemon juice, salt and pepper
Mango salsa (my mum called it chutney) - cubed mango that was too sour to eat, red chilli flakes, lemon juice, salt, coriander I just remembered to chop and freeze before it wilted
Halloumi we opened several days ago that we should use up before it goes bad on the fridge, grilled on a frying pan
Extremely delicious, I was worried I would hate it because of the mango but it turned out to actually just be incredible and just what I needed
