Mother’s Day Drabbles

Pairing: Angel Reyes x Black!Reader, Miguel Galindo x Black!Reader, EZ Reyes x Black!Reader, Obispo Losa x Black!Reader

Summary: Four drabbles with my four favorite men from Mayans MC commemorating Mother’s Day with their loves.

Warning(s): Grief, loss of a child in the last drabble (sorry to my bishop girls) but the other ones are all fluffy goodness

AN: It’s almost Father’s Day so y’know what sounds good? Reading some EXTREMELY late Mother’s Day drabbles!! lol. I haven’t posted anything in so long and these were in the drafts so here we are. Enjoy these random ideas that popped into my head. Trying to force myself to get into shorter form writing like drabbles and headcanons. As always, questions, comments, and concerns are welcomed. Breakfast in bed - Angel (fluff)

“Daddy shhh! You gots ta be quiet.”

“Lo siento princesa.”

You fought to keep your eyes shut and not smile as they tried and failed at surprising you. You wouldn’t ruin their efforts so you just listened as they came into the bedroom and something was set on your nightstand.

It was silent for a moment before a ball of energy landed firmly on top of you, knocking the wind out of you and fully waking you up.

“Good morning mommy. I made you breakfast in bed.” Your beautiful little girl told you once she saw your eyes open.

A throat cleared and your eyes connected with your husband’s.

“Oh, Daddy helped too.” She added, getting comfortable in your lap as you sat up against your headboard and adjusted the bonnet on your head.

“Oh he did? Well thanks for helping Daddy.” You teased, as he took a seat on the bed next to you.

“Anything for you. Happy Mother’s Day.” Angel leaned in and kissed you on the lips once, twice, three times. The last peck lingered a little too long and the princess was not amused.

“Let her eat! The food is gonna get cold.” She grumbled, and you broke down in giggles. That daughter of yours was a sass machine and she stayed on her daddy’s head. He loved every bit of it.

“Okay, okay.” He relented, a grin on his face. Anything for his girls.

Coming home to a spotless clean house - Miguel (fluff)

As your driver pulled into the driveway of your large home, she sighed knowing your day had only just become. After a full day of work, she knew as soon as you stepped foot in the house you would need to pick up after the kids from their time running the nanny ragged. Then, you’d have to get dinner cooked before wrangling the kids to eat, bathe, and then sleep. No clue if you’d see your husband or if he was having a late night.

You loved your life. You loved your family. Sometimes things could just be a little tiring. But you put that smile on your face and you made your way into the house.

The quiet was the first thing to hit and surprise you. Your home was never this quiet at this time of day. You slowly walked further into the house, your nose guiding you to the kitchen where a delicious aroma caught your attention. As you rounded the corner, you were shocked to see your husband standing at the stove.

“Miguel?” You asked, confused at his presence and the state of the house. Everything was clean and put away. He was at home at a decent time and not off somewhere handling business. Something was going on.

“Hello mi amor.” He walked closer to you before grabbing your face and kissing your lips. You’d missed him today so you added a little pressure to the kiss, but it didn’t last long as there was a burning question on your mind.

“What’s going on? Where are the kids?” You asked, head swiveling, as soon as you ended the kiss, to see if you could spot them. You didn’t even notice Miguel maneuvering you onto one of the kitchen stools.

“The kids are in their rooms, dinner is cooking, the house is clean and you are going to enjoy this chardonnay I bought for you.” He handed you a glass and you took it without complaint. A sweet smile spread across your lips as you realized he did all of this for you.

“You do so many wonderful things for this family. I want you to enjoy your night to yourself. I will handle putting the children to bed and you will relax for the night. Your dinner should be done by the time I get back downstairs but in the meantime, I know you’ve been wanting to catch up on the new season of A Black Lady Sketch Show. It’s queued up in the living room.”

A kid wrangling free night? Your favorite tv show and wine? He already bought you everything you could ask for but this? This is so much better than any present he could have come up with. “How did I get so lucky?” You pondered, a dreamy smile on your face.

“I ask myself the same question every day. Happy Mother’s Day.” He replied, kissing you again before going to fulfill his promise.

Spa day for expectant mom - EZ (fluff)

Knowing what comes with being pregnant and actually experiencing the symptoms are two very different things. You don’t wanna say you underestimated things, but you were in the middle of your third trimester and you weren’t handling things very well.

“EZ!! EZEKIEL!” You hollered for him, from where you sat propped up on the couch. Your back was killing you, you couldn’t see your feet but you knew they were a hot mess, and you just generally felt uncomfortable. You knew it would all be worth it in the end, but the end was taking too damn long to get here.

Your boyfriend had been incredibly understanding of your constant mood swings. When you first told him you were pregnant, he went out and bought a bunch of pregnancy books. He was always reading one that first trimester. Angel would tease him and say he could just google everything, but EZ had always preferred having physical copies of text. He wanted to know everything you’d go through so he could help you deal with it.

You call him now and he doesn’t respond. You grow annoyed, but also slightly concerned because he never doesn’t answer you.

It took several tries but you manage to get yourself off the couch and head back towards your bedroom. When you push the door open, a wide smile breaks out on your face. The lights in the room were dimmed and your favorite candles were lit, bathing the room in a soothing scent. Songs from your ‘self care day’ playlist filled the otherwise silent air. On the bed was the biggest, fluffiest robe you’d ever seen in your life. There was also a basket filled with goodies including face masks, different color nail polish, massage oil, and your favorite snacks.

“What is all of this?” You asked your boyfriend who had almost as big a smile on his face as you did.

“You didn’t seriously think I’d just let your first Mother's Day go by with no acknowledgment, did you?”

You blinked somewhat in surprise. “I...I mean yeah I guess. My first Mother’s Day is next year. Baby Reyes isn’t even here yet.”

“So? You’re carrying our child. You gonna let me spoil you or you gonna keep making excuses why I can’t?” He asked, his eyebrow raised and a sly smirk on his face.

“Spoil away then.” You grinned, holding out a hand for him to take before pampering you for the rest of the night.

Cuddles - Bishop (angst, heed the tw up top please)

The ray from the television was the only light source illuminating the living room. You were laying on your side on the couch, eyes on the tv but not truly paying attention to it. The light from the tv reflected off the tear stains left in her cheeks.

Bishop came back from dealing with club stuff and leaned on the doorway just watching you. He knew it was a rough day for you. Everyday was hard, but today was especially hurtful. He’d be feeling the same way just next month.

He placed his kutte onto the armchair and slipped off his shoes before climbing over you. You jumped a little at his presence but he just gently nudged you up so he could squeeze between you and the back of the couch.

One arm slid under your head and the other rested on your waist as he settled in. The hand on your waist reached out and gently ran a thumb over the little face in the picture frame you held tightly in your hands.

“Our sweet boy.” He whispered, a sad smile on his face.

Your breath hitched and your shoulders began to shake as you silently cried. You missed him so much. The whole day you stayed inside hoping to avoid all the mother celebrations, but that didn’t help. The hurt ran deep and no amount of avoidance could stop it. This day was a special slap in the face and every year the last three years have been spent like this.

Bishop curled the arm under your head until his elbow laid on your clavicle. He wrapped his other arm around your waist and pulled you tight against him.

“You’ll always be his mother. That love is forever.” He softly but firmly stated before pecking your shoulder over and over.

You released a breath you didn’t realize you were holding in at the feel of him squeezing you tightly. It was comforting. He was always holding you together. He understood your pain and even though it hurt worse some days than others, you knew you had to continue on.

But for right now, you would cry in your man’s arms and hope next year went better.

obey me! demon brothers + realizing they’re in love with mc

prompt: the order in which the brothers would realize they are in love with mc (sooner → later).

a/n: i know i said this in an earlier post, but the goal going forward will be to (hopefully) post my writing—commissions included—on weekends. i have quite a few concepts and rough drafts sitting in my notes that i still need to finish writing and editing. so far, it’s just a matter of finding the time to actually do it. but if anyone has any prompt lists they want to throw my way too, i’m open to finding additional inspiration!

1 → Mammon

Outwardly, yes, it would take him a while to drop the instant denial front he constantly threw up whenever someone accused him of having feelings for you. But inside? He knew he wanted to spend as much time with you as he possibly could and shower you with gifts he’d try to save up for or earn. And if it was possible to get a matching gift, then he’d splurge a little extra because it meant something more connected you to one another and was a special thing shared between you—and ONLY you two. Hell, with your permission, he even left the occasional t-shirt or jacket in your room—and even secretly stashed his toothbrush in your bathroom due to passing out after too many late-night movie marathons. Sure, his brothers’ constant teasing annoyed him to no end, but even Mammon couldn’t deny he was greedy for your time. He loved you so soon and suddenly, wanting to hold your hand and never let you go. 

2 → Asmo: 

Without a doubt, Asmo knew he was attracted to you from the moment he laid eyes on you—although it wasn’t your physical beauty that snared him but rather the aura you exuded. Of course, the physical attraction was undeniable to him as well so he couldn’t help the showering of compliments that rained from his lips; he is, after all, the Avatar of Lust, and actions such as those were completely second nature to him. It started with the lingering touches, though, when he realized something was amiss this time. His skin warmed unnaturally wherever your brushed against his—even if for just a moment—and lingered on him throughout the day. It never truly hit him until he’d regularly seek out your company for seemingly platonic or romantic reasons—without desiring any future sexual gratification. Obviously, those thoughts occupied his mind and the flirting with you never ceased—unless you asked him to, of course—but after centuries of experiencing lust and adoration, love consumed his heart, and he merely wanted you to feel the same for him in return. 

3 → Satan: 

With all his knowledge of fictional romance in TV shows and books, Satan was convinced he would truly know a romantic love—if he were able to experience it—by the excitement and explosive emotions it carried. However, he was quick to discover it was quite the opposite with you: The rage he carefully concealed with polite smiles and intellect was blanketed in warmth and peace whenever you were around. It was a sudden shock to him, the first time he realized he wasn’t consumed with anger, and all because he was in your presence. The demon regularly sought your company, adoring your attention—whether it was listening to him discuss the plot twist in a mystery novel he was reading or showing you his favorite spots in Devildom he never shared with his brothers. He was never in denial about his emotions for you; all he knew was that a human saw kindness and good in him, and he wanted to prove—at least to himself—he was worthy of such good. 

4 → Lucifer: 

It wasn’t so much that Lucifer would ever be in denial of these feelings—once he’d realized he was in love with you, it was like every nerve was set on fire—but rather he was concerned hi emotions would compromise Diavolo’s goals. Every moment you spent laughing and smiling with his brothers rather than with him left the demon frustrated and hopelessly hollow believing he couldn’t keep you as close as he’d like. Even the slightest graze from you, however platonic or intentional, left the spot blazing from your touch. You were meant to drive him crazy in the worst possible ways and yet all the traits he wanted to despise were only found endearing. Your stubbornness, your kindness, and your curiosity—all attributes that should have maddened him to no end, he noticed, came from a place of love as well. The demon may struggle to consider a human to be his equal, but he’ll never question his love of your presence, your smile, your touch, your damn—well—everything. And as much as he wouldn’t want to jeopardize Diavolo’s plan, loving you makes him doubt every other thing. 

5 → Belphie: 

Even if his hatred towards human quickly faded upon the discoveries of Lilith and her connection to you, opening himself up to the idea of being in love with you was a genuinely jarring concept to him. Especially if you found it in yourself to forgive him for, you know, killing you, Belphie wanted to prove himself worthy of your forgiveness in the first place—even if he tended to be a little shithead going about it. Like most of the brothers, he was rather needy for your time and attention, but where they often showed you their favorite spots in Devildom, he sought quiet areas around the House of Lamentation where the two of you could be alone. Something about you was so soft and warm to him. Honestly, most of his dreams were filled with visions of your smile and laugh, your body pressed snuggly against his. Maybe he wasn’t the most forthcoming with his love, but he never shied away from telling you how much he wanted to live with only you and Beel forever. He’s a demon with some regrets—hurting you being at the top of the list—but being the reason for your smile eased the guilt bit by bit. 

6 → Levi: 

An overwhelming sense of confusion and denial would leave him on the fence for a long time until he’d come to terms with his feelings towards you. And honestly, you couldn’t really blame the demon—Levi’s main loves for years have been 2D characters so suddenly developing such strange emotions or an attraction to a real human would be damning to him. It couldn’t be helped, though. For all he had tried to push you away or disregard your norm opinions, he couldn’t help how giddy he’d get whenever you’d agree to watch a new anime with him or introduce him to a new idol band. He was wholeheartedly convinced you must clearly be doing this out of pity or something—no matter if your heart was truly in it or not—because even his brothers never seemed to give his interests the rapt attention you offered him. He could be alone in his room and only think of how it’d be better with you there; or how he wanted to keep you so close, your fragrance would linger on his clothes so it was as though you were always with him. 

7 → Beel: 

Unlike some his brothers shacking up in a state of denial, Beel took longer to realize he was in love with you simply because he could never put his feelings into words. He knew he enjoyed spending time with you—rooming with you while Belphie was “away” was one of the initial highlights of your first stay in Devildom—and he was one to admit he considered you family to him, caring for you as he does for his brothers. Except, it was different. Maybe because you weren’t his actual family but his chosen family? He was never sure for the longest time. And yet, you were the only one he offered any of his food to and went out of his way to invite you out for dinner—which, in his mind, was a completely normal and friendly thing. But it’d strike him down like a bolt of lightning, realizing all of these feelings, once you’d offered to make him human food, and boy was he a goner.

Brothers as New Parents

Guess who decided to finally finish this oneeeeee. I used my parents for inspiration for some of these. Sadly my getting knocked out by a carpet story didn't qualify 😔

Lucifer

Despite the name and the whole demon thing, Lucifer is actually a pretty decent father.

In the beginning though, he's really lost.

Like, the only baby he's ever raised is Satan and technically that doesn't count, so he's kinda confused here. Which really freaks him out.

Things get easier once the kid can finally walk, but don't expect Lucifer to really understand babies too much, or to like them either. They're way too noisy and dirty for him to actually enjoy. 

But that doesn’t mean he isn’t a good dad.

Sure, he's not amazing, no parent naturally is, but he isn't reckless with your child and genuinely makes attempts to keep them alive. 

He just, kinda waits till the kid isn’t spitting up daily or wearing diapers to actually like their company

Before that it just feels like another job. Or like he’s watching his brothers. 

He loves his child but, uh, he’s going to be the type of dad to forget which baby is his if we’re being honest. 

Mammon

He's really good a keeping babies entertained. Like, really good.

(Who would have known babies also like shiny things that jingle?)

Also loves to spend money on them. Like, legit any baby left under his supervision will be dressed in absurdly priced outfits. It's a little frustrating to wash these clothes, especially considering how dirty kids can get.

But besides all the spoiling and the playing, Mammon is clueless.

Like what do babies do?? What do they need? Are they supposed to sleep for that long??

He regrets not reading the baby books Satan recommended.

He's extremely clumsy as a dad, but in like that way where only he gets hurt but your child never does.

(Despite being so young, you're pretty sure the kid laughs every time he face plants.)

Likes to watch TV with the baby. The kid's probably seen every action movie known to man (and demon) by this point.

Leviathan

Levi isn't good with pregnancy, but he is pretty decent with kids.

Something about his personality really draws them to him

(Which is a great examination as to why most children must have to be taught how to share. Leviathan is a bad influence)

He kinda only ever takes over the "fun" parts of being a dad. Not because he doesn't try though. He does, really, but he often finds himself at a loss when it comes to dealing with spit-up or diapers or the little quirks babies develop.

Levi's the third oldest. He didn't have to deal with that stuff. None of them really had to, as raising angels is kinda a community effort. Seeing as Lucifer wasn't exactly the maternal type, he'd spent his years with his brother watching over kids. Never being beside them.

I think he's especially freaked out if he has a daughter. Like, he doesn't know what to so for the most part with any child, but girls are even more foreign to him, seeing as he's only ever had brothers. Well, besides Lilith, but she's a different story.

It's not really bad, he's just new to everything, but you'll probably give Lucifer an earful for not at least giving more responsibilities with Satan.

Most definitely gives his kid toy weapons and costumes to play with. They can't even walk yet but he's got a chest with princess dresses and lightsabers ready to go.

Satan

Satan is pretty much the most normal dad you could ever ask for.

Yeah, a normal demon, spell-casting dad, but norm nevertheless.

He's always the one to offer to take over your shifts in the night (He will not sub for his brothers though. They can fuck right off).

Buys you your first mother's/father's/whatever you choose to call your parental title's day gift because everyone else most likely forgets amongst the stress of baby.

Most DEFINITELY tries to do that whole "all natural" baby thing, but probably realizes a few days in that breastmilk is not only hard to obtain in the Devildom, but most demons don't really give a samn about cruelty free items (Mass produced cotton included).

^Asmo and him did this together btw. But Asmodeus did it for clout whilst Satan did it for the baby's health.

He'll dress his kid up like him. The clothes are still ugly as sin.

Asmodeus

Your kid will be internet famous before they turn five months old.

Asmo does not understand the word "privacy" or the concept of "not plastering his child's life for everyone to see"

But, you must admit, he does dress your baby up in the most adorable ways.

She might just be the only person he puts above the two of you, both as individuals, and as a couple.

(^I don't think all the brother's would think this way. Some probably still internalize their angel backgrounds or have even formed their own opinions onto where a kid places in a relationship. I might get into it more if asked but I'm leaving this here for now)

He does everything with the kid, when he has them, and if the child is biologically his (which will be extremely apparent), that kid will be with him all the damn time.

He wants his baby to be beautiful like his parents, but most of all, he wants his baby to be happy.

Will most likely turn into the exact definition of "the cool mom" from mean girls but that's far off from now.

Until then, he'll just stroll around the mall, showing his baby all the sparkly things they'll eventually love.

Beelzebub

Beel would have been a pretty normal dad if not for his more older-brother mentality.

Like, the guy has never really been around kids. He's been around Belphegor. Which isn't a huge age gap but there's still that looming protective older-sibling trait there.

He kinda sees the kid, no matter who or where it comes from, as just another sibling.

After what happened with Lilith though, he's more prone to be more protective over girls. He doesn't even recognize he's doing it tbh.

(There's actually a lot of open wounds regarding Lilith that show up in his parenting skills, but they develop a lot later)

He always has to know where your kid is at, but he doesn't necessarily need to be with them.

Like, he's afraid of something horrible happening, but he trusts his brothers, and you, to be able to handle it. He just needs the constant reassurance.

Very insistent on keeping a feeding schedule through, and is known to freak out when they refuse to eat, or get an upset stomach, or something along the lines of the digestive process goes wrong.

Beel is probably the best at bath time. Man can make some awesome rubber duck voices, and the plotlines he thinks up are very interesting.

Belphegor

The one the most scared to have a baby is the one who loves to spend the most time with the baby.

Why? Because babies sleep most of the fucking day. This is a great bonding experience.

And for some reason, you suspect it's due to his powers, the kid will sleep through anything when the two of them are together.

The minute they sleep in their room, or in a cot next to your bed, they'll be waking up hourly for some reason or another.

And it's like, you can't have the baby sleep with Belphegor all the time because if the kid genuinely needs some attention, he needs to wake up and make it known.

But damn are you tired.

Like you some how think raising a child with seven partners is harder than one, because no one should feel this exhausted when they are allowed to take at least three naps a day.

Outside that conundrum, he's a very quiet dad. He'll just sit by the baby and play with them, usually via rattle, enjoying the cute little noises they make and the faces that grace their features.

He'll miss this when the baby starts crawling.

 We also rated our survivability in all of our collective games, since Mars isn't an author! Fun stuff! Spoilers, though: it’s really not looking so great for me (Dani) but that’s fine!!!  😌

1. I’m a photographer as well as a graphic artist (but not like. A painter/drawer kind of artist!) and, on a general level, a maker and a tinkerer!

2. Fountain pens! I only write with ink, and only with fountain pens, and I use bottled inks/converters!

3. I’m pretty eclectic with music, but my top genres are alt rock, indie, indie pop, etc, as well as top 40s and some rap.

4. I feel like this is the hardest one for me to answer? Favorite movies/shows? Avatar: the Last Airbender has been a favorite show of mine since I was a little kid, but I have a harder time thinking of shows I would call a favorite in recent years. There are shows I’ve liked, and a lot of shows I’ve watched. But I’m picky! And demanding! It takes a lot to earn a place in Dani’s Trophy Case of Favorites. 😌 I would say I quite liked A Quite Place (movie), and I liked Us (movie). When it comes to TV shows, I have a hard time being pleased with them if they don’t end well. As a result, I have a penchant for a good limited series/miniseries (because they’re stories that have an end in mind and the plot reflects that, dagnabbit).

5. Heh. Okay.

In The Goodfellows? I think I stand I chance. I can exercise my sparkling wit and lovable personality to the best effect. I’m gonna give myself an 8/10 survivability rating. Even if I don’t have the right skills, I can go crying to the person who does and they’ll save me. Maybe.

In Creatures’ Cradle? I’m super $**!%d. 😌 1/10 survivability rating. And that 1 is me being nice to myself. The day the apocalypse breaks out I would probably be patient 0. I am self-aware. I would not do well in an apocalypse. Zombies care not for aforementioned sparkling wit and lovable personality, and I have all the muscle of a boiled spaghetti noodle. So it’s a no go.

Greater Than Gods (Cruz): Well. I’m going to be optimistic. And say that I have the wisdom not to do things I shouldn’t do and not to rock boats I shouldn’t rock. I’m going to give myself a 7/10 based on insider information, but also based on reckless optimism!

Vardir (Cruz): Cruz says this is a lighthearted game, so 10/10 LOL.

When it Hungers (Roast): I’m giving myself a nice, mediocre 5/10. I think I could put my mind to work here; I joke that I’m the village idiot, but I’m actually pretty smart! Unfortunately, I’m also curious, and maybe a little bad with authorities who won’t answer my questions. So I knocked off a lot of points due to the fact that I’d probably poke the metaphorical bear. So it’s a real coin flip as to whether I’d really make it or not.

Orthall Bay (Nines): Considering the genre is “horror” and the game intro includes the words “monster” and “maim,” I’m giving myself a whooping, enthusiastic 3/10. Yes, folks, I am that confident in myself! Once again, I can’t charm the socks off a monster (or can I?), so one of my greatest weapons is snatched from beneath my feet. Alas!

1. Beloved I’m a college student in the middle of a pandemic... i can hardly even write LOL i do draw at times which u can see in my personal blog (nothing too good really) and i used to do karate before things went to shit <3

2. Nothing niche I believe? All I do is leave Netflix as bg noise every day n play popular videgames (genshin)

Greater than Gods: Highly situational, the world GtG is set in is as broad as the real world LOL so I don’t have an universal answer. But keeping it vague, and knowing my own personality, I feel like 5/10. depends on my luck.

Vardir: 10/10 no one dies in Vikgade, unless you’re a hunter but I wouldn’t be a hunter <3

Others’ WIPs

I'm gonna give myself a solid 5/10 in all other WIPs because y'all aren't writing lighthearted stories either. I feel like as long as I avoid the role of the MC I will be mostly fine. I hope. But as Dani said I'm also prone to fight the wrong person and dig my own grave so 😌

1. Well, writing is a very, very, very, distant hobby since Words Hard, but I like to crochet and sculpt a little! Anything to do with fiddling with my hands and I’m good to go. And like, debatable but graphic design is my passion [insert clown emoji here since Tumblr said No]

2. Oh yeah a bunch! DnD yelling at people, thinking of arson, crocheting, rock climbing and simply vibing. I got into podcasts a few years ago and I’m always looking for more recs, so if you have some, hmu 😤

The Goodfellows: I wanna say a solid 7/10 because I’d hardcore vibe with the Traveler and probably instigate so much nonsense. I can also bribe with blueberry cake so maybe. 

Creature’s Cradle: maybe a 4/10 and only because of pure spite keeping me alive long enough to smack someone. I’ve prepared for hypothetical  zombie apolcapyses and I won’t hesitate to bap, but will be bapped back because I’m weak as hell. 

Greater Than Gods: a toss up between 2/10 and 7/10! I can vibe and be chill but I also have terrible impulse control so... 

Vardir: hm....I think pretty good survival rates all around? If you ask me to fight then like, okay sure, your knees are mine. So maybe a 8/10? 

When it Hungers: .......8/10 just because I’d refuse to die if I can be a cool creature. Living for the aesthetic can and will drag me outta hell. But I’m also clumsy as hell so I’d probably crash as a porcelain or hold a rooster and perish (aka, real rating is a good 3/10) 

Orthall Bay: 2/10, nope. Nope I’d be taken out in a heartbeat. Monsters can go pspsps and I’d head straight into the dark creepy forest like a fool if someone comes @ me. Half the time I’ll just assume it’s sfx makeup and vibe until it’s too late.

1. If I'm not writing, I'm usually watching video essays on Youtube. My go-to channels as of right now is Disrupt and Aperture! I just really like their videos. Aside from that, I recently got into podcasts. Currently going through Hello From The Hallowoods and Shelter and Warning, which are made by queer creators!

2. Oh oof, there's quite a bit so I'm just gonna put down one thing. For some reason, I really got into collecting tiny astronaut things? I recently bought this astronaut desk light, and I've got a package coming in for the miniatures I ordered. No purpose for them other than I think they're neat <3

3. I'm a bit private with my music taste (even tho I have Spotify connected on Discord lmao), but there's 5 songs that I'm currently obsessed with. I keep replaying them over and over again. Just squeezing all the serotonin I could get outta them.

4. I can't really say I have a fave TV show or movie because I can't really just pick one, but my current fave is 9-1-1 and Resident Alien. 9-1-1 because I just really love the found-family dynamics and how the show tackles sensitive topics, and Resident Alien because it's lighthearted comedy. My all-time fave movie is Flipped! I have the book too and I like rereading from time to time <3

Maybe I'm overestimating myself, but I think I'll be able to survive in a supernatural post-apocalyptic world! Ah, but it depends on the motivation though. I like the idea of rebuilding communities and eventually societies, but the survival turmoil would be a constant battle I'd have to overcome. If we're talking survival itself though, I think I'll do well.

That's probably my wishful thinking but I think I'll be fine. Maybe. Possibly. Don't like the idea of being regulated by an organization so if I was a non-human creature that could pose a problem but I can roll with it <3

1. Too many :'D I knit, I sew, I do carpentry (well, learning), I bake, I'm hammering away at HTML and CSS, my job kind of encourages learning new things and I take that to picking up new hobbies!

2. My time is kind of consumed with school work and work work and WIP work so not a lot of time to pursue niche interests right now. I've been watching a lot of horror game playthroughs, true crime youtubers, and an adorable show on Netflix called the Repair Shop <3

3. My taste in music is "what am I vibing with atm?" I've been listening to a lot of 80's music atm (don't @ me), but also Lo Fang and Kaleo, and whatever spotify recommends me on my discover weekly which is usually complete chaos.

4. I love the Mummy even though it hasn't aged 100% well (I'm a librarian, of course it's one of my gotos LOL), Legally Blonde, Leverage, Jumanji (the original), I'm....very bad at having recent tastes... and very bad at remembering my favorites when asked.

On a more possitive note, I’ve started watching Sword Art Online. It’s one of the worst things I’ve ever seen (and the last film I saw in cinemas was Cats to give you context for the scale i’m working on here) and I kind of adore it in much the same way I love garbage like Smallville or Twilight. It’s so stupid on so many levels. You could challenge someone to write the worst anime, and it would almost certainly be better than SAO. It’s almost hypnotic how terrible it is.

No one should watch this terrible terrible show so I therefore don’t feel at all bad that I’m about the spoil absolutely everything, but honestly if you do also hate-watch this please come talk to me about how terrible it is. I don’t know anyone else who watches it.

Highlights of Season 1 include:

everyone is trapped in an MMO, and if you die in the MMO you die IRL. but if you were a beta-tester you’re probably fine because they just let them keep all their levels and items from the testing, so they’re all massively OP and everyone just accepts this as a normal and non-game-breaking thing

it’s a fantasy MMO but there’s no races, no magic system, no weapons except swords and maces, and not even an option to dual wield - literally all you can do in this fucking game is stand in front of an enemy and mash the attack button. I’m pretty sure they’re trapped there because the devs realised no one would play this post launch-day otherwise because it’s boring as shit

when the villain traps everyone he also just changs all their avatars to look like they do IRL for absolutely no reason, like actually none, he doesn’t even say he thinks it would be funny, he just does it and no one questions it and it is literally never mentioned again because this is the worst TV show ever animated.

in the second episode the main character deliberately witholds information about how to defeat a boss, indirectly causing multiple deaths. there is absolutely no reason for him to withhold it, he was just being a jerk because he doesn’t like people

in the third episode they reset his entire personality and he’s now a selfless hero pretending to be a lower level than he really is so people will find him more relateable and be his friend because all he wants is to help people. this is not a consequence of episode 2, they just decided they didnt like the character as he’d previously been written.

he makes some new friends who are all objectively terrible people who have decided for no season that the twelve year old who doesn’t really know how to play and keeps having anxiety attacks about the very real possibility of death has to be the guild tank. the MC is high enough level to be functionally immortal in like half the levels, but doesn’t tell anyone this he just lets them go on bullying this child

none of his friends survive that episode, in the game or IRL. which is also a christmas epsiode. a child dies in battle because she’s a terrible tank and then a man commits suicide out of guilt, so then the main character murders santa to try and bring them back from the actual dead but it doesn’t work because again, this is a video game and they are dead IRL, so then he walks off into the snow alone. Christmas!

we meet the best character in the entire show in episode 4, Rosalia, who has gone evil and started just straight murdering people because she’s sick of being an attractive adult woman who can’t get a date because she’s surrounded by lolicons who are only interested in the preteen characters (not a joke, that comes up, the show is firmly on the side of the lolicons)

in the same episode we get an extended bra and panty sequence staring an actual fucking child, like canonically this character is maybe 13 at best. this is one of only 2 occaisions when they feel the need to undress a character and it’s the fucking 12 year old, it’s so gross it reads like a parody of itself

literally every single named female character aged over 8 who talks to the MC falls in love with him after like 5 minutes (and in season 2 this includes his actual sister). he shows absolutely no interest in any of them (including his sister, thank god) until...

the main character gets engaged to a girl he only knows from an MMO after a virtual single date (he doesn’t actually win her in a PVP match but only because he looses the match, he 100% canonically tries to win her in a match, which she is apparently fine with). he then doesn’t bother to ask for her real name until the final episode, he just calls her by her screen name

(that’s okay though becuase it turns out that this moron of a love interest used her real name, on a local server, in a game where your character looks like you do IRL, because apparently getting doxxed is her hobby)

they then get in-game married off screen. there’s not even like a still of a wedding photo. nothing. the main character proposes and then the show immediately jumps to the honeymoon, it’s fucking bizarre.

they find a creepy child dressed all in white with no memory alone in the woods a week into their honeymoon who starts calling them mommy and daddy literally seconds after they first meet her, and they don’t suspect anything suss is going on and adopt her

for hilarity bear in mind the main character may only be 15 at this point (he says he’s only just turned 16 in the last epsiode, but his actual birthday is never mentioned), and his virtual wifu is 16, but no one ever questions the marriage or the adoption, even though ‘hey marriage in a video game is as important and meaningful as marriage in real life’ is an actual conversation people have multiple times. also they think the child they adopt is an actual IRL 8 year old who thinks these randos she met in an MMO are her mum and dad and everyone just goes with that like it’s a totally normal thing

a character called ‘Thinker’ agrees to meet an enemy faction leader for peace talks. the “peace talks” take place in a high level dungeon and he is told to come alone with no weapons and no fast travel. he does this. no one ever comments that his name is ironic, and in fact they seem to think that being betrayed and trapped in a dungeon with a boss is a totally unexpected turn of events Thinker could never have planned for

they take their new baby into the dungeon to rescue thinker, because they went to the jean grey school of baby rearing, and she imediately reveals that she’s actually a magical maggufin with infinite power, murders the grim reaper, and then dies. In literally the second episode she’s in

after she dies the MC hacks the admin account of the game, converts her corpse into an in game item, and saves to the local storage on his console, with the intention of bringing her back to life as a robot once they’re saved from the game. I’m not joking, that’s an actual thing that happens.

the fact that the main character can just access the main admin account and make massive game-breaking changes isn’t used again in that game and he never thinks to try and use it to force log people out or give himself infinite life so he can just rush the game and free everyone. nope, convert a corpse into an item and then never think about it again.

there’s an entire episode where all they do is go fishing. its the only filler episode in the season, and it immediately follows the death of a small child. it’s the most tone-deaf beach episode in writing history

it turns out this game, this game where they didn’t bother coding in any difference races, weapons, or any kind of magic system, was intended to have fully sentient AI therapists, because why the fuck not at this point honestly

oh also the game has PVP and you can trick the game into thinking a sleeping player is in PVP with you in order to actually murder a real person without it flagging in-game as a murder making the crime impossible for the real life legal system to investigate even though you just murdered a person. and they expect us to believe this game had actual beta testers. at least cyberpunk wasn’t played on microwaves you connected straight to your brain (also not a joke, the VR consoles canonically work by sending microwave radiation into your brain, no wonder VR never caught on)

the set up for the show is that they have to reach level 100 of a dungeon in order to win. At level 75, the writers got bored and the show just ends.

it turns out the power of love allows you to just break the fucking game and the main villain literally has a line about how ‘love allows you to remove debuffs, huh, we didn’t think to plan for that’ because again, there’s no metaphors in this show, everything is 100% literal including the fact that falling in love with another player means you’re immune to the paralysis status effect

power of love also allows you to very briefly become a poltergeist after being killed, but only for like 2 seconds. again not a joke or a metaphor, main character is killed but then gets to hang around as a ghost for a little bit to enable him to defeat the boss. he also doesn’t die in real life despite that being the entire fucking premise of the show, again because power of love.

the bad guy literally has no plan, he’s just doing shit for the sake of having something to do. His actions directly cause the deaths of more than 4,000 people, and it’s not even in aid of anything. they ask him why he trapped 10,000 people in an MMO and allowed them to slowly die, and he’s just like ‘huh, i forgot i did that, random’ and then just fucking peaces out

the fact that he committed one of the largest mass killings outside of war never really comes up again, as far as we know he doesn’t even go to jail. i think the show actually kind of thinks he’s a good guy, which is a fucking WILD moral stance to take on the deaths of 4000 completely innocent people for absolutely no reason

If this sounds hilari-bad but you don’t want to invest the time to watch a show which is objectively garbage, it has an abridged series which is famously better than the show it’s parodying (i’m dead serious, people have character arcs, the getting married after one date thing is properly addressed, the mc has to deal with PTSD because of all his friends dying in epsidode 3, they don’t immediately follow the death of a child with an extended fishing montage, the villain has an actual plan). It’s mostly actually pretty good, but this is the internet and it’s an abridged series, so while there are a lot fewer yikes moments than most it still has enough that I’m not comfortable recommending it without the caveat. that said I still enjoyed it a lot, although possibly not at much as pointing and laughing at the garbage that is the actual show.

He was excited. He had a videocall with some fans who told him that he will be winning an award as an actor. When Jinyoung came back home that day he was truly happy, one of his dreams ever since he became an actor was winning an award for it. He was well aware that this was something his fans -including me, but he didn't know that- voted for, nonetheless, it was an actor award, and he was beyond happy.

Today, he and the boys had the award ceremony scheduled, so he was fancying himself. If you've ever thought that Park Jinyoung looked good on his daily basis, you've never seen him just out of the shower with his hair damped and the towel hanging on his hips. God, if he hadn't to be ready soon…

My eyes wandered his body, following every step of him. His muscles moved while he dried his hair. His back was turned to me, and I had to collect myself not to touch Jinyoung in any way, or else he'll be taking another shower and arriving late

"You look like you were about to explode," I say as he turns to face me, his face lit up in the most special way.

"I am. How couldn't I? They did everything on their reach to give me this award, I'm forever grateful."

"Seems like Actor Park is ready for bigger challenges, huh?" Jinyoung leaves the towel he uses to dry his hair on his shoulders and then proceeds to hug me, he's warm and welcoming as always.

"Always." He whispers on my ear, giving me goosebumps.

"Alright, now," I said at the same time I escaped from his embrace, as his hands were wandering my body. "You need to get ready, or your manager won't forgive me. I'll let you do you, scream if you need help."

That same day he comes back from the ceremony. He's glowing. And that makes me the happiest girl in the universe. He places his award on the bookshelf in the living room, next to their photo with their very first daesang and a photo of us.

He doesn't say much, and I let him be. He might be tired or still processing what happened at the ceremony. Last year I screamed at the top of my lungs when they won their daesang, now I'll have to wait to see their faces light up again when the ceremony is aired.

The day the show is aired Jinyoung has a schedule, so I'm all by myself watching it. I scream when GOT7 is announced as the winners of another daesang, and then again when Jinyoung shows up holding the same award he has placed in our home.

As the show continues I become happier by watching how the artists happily receive their awards. Then the MCs say something about a promising actor award, which, as far as I know, is an acting daesang.

The scream that escapes from my lungs is the most excited one I've ever had so far. Jinyoung. My Jinyoung. After the scream I find myself speechless, the jury decided that Jinyoung is a promising actor, which he is. Tears of joy roll on my face as I hear his speech. Jinyoungie is really proud of this, proud of himself, proud that his effort is working.

"Oh, please, no. I missed it."

Jinyoung says as he arrives home, he's taking off his mask when I get off the couch and run to where he's standing, then I hug him and he laughs at my reaction.

"What did Mr. Promising Actor miss?" I say, my face pressed against his chest and he laughs again.

"Alright, I didn't miss anything. But you shouldn't have hugged me, I still have the outdoors clothes."

"I don't care, we both will take a shower."

"Huh, alright then, I would really like that," his hands finally find my waist and presses me against him.

"So…" I move my head so I'm able to look at him straight in the face, my hands cup his face and then squeeze his cheeks until his lips are pouting.

I feel his face muscles turning the pout into a smile, and his eyes disappear, giving me the most wonderful sight that I'm always grateful to see. The shine in his eyes is the only thing I can see between his eyelids and eyelashes. My hands leave his face and move to clasp behind his neck.

Warnings: Tooth rotting fluff and Victor’s abrasive personality (jkjk i love him and would marry him if i couldn’t marry Kiro)

This was literally inspired because I ws in my yard picking and eating blackberries off my bushes asdfghjkl;

It was a surprise vacation. To be honest, most vacations you were whisked away on were not ones you had planned. Victor had a habit of noticing the tiniest of things and deciding to take you away on impromptu vacations, claiming they were because you were interested in locations for shoots or research. You knew it was his way of saying you needed to breathe and relax. As much of a hardass as Victor could be, he loved you greatly and was much softer on the inside than he showed on the outside.

Where had he taken you exactly? A nice farm in the countryside. A farm that grew many fruits, but it was known this time of year for its blackberries. Delicious, juicy blackberries. You had to dig through your brain to try and think of what spurred this trip. You couldn’t remember. Had you said something? It was still nice all the same.

The air had a fresh, sweet smell to it as a gentle breeze blew through.You could hear the buzzing of bees. You’d have to make a note to ask Victor if you could take home a few jars of their fresh honey. Beekeeping was fascinating and you would have to take a ton of notes and photos. Maybe the owners would even let you do a piece on their farm! It would be interesting. Farming and beekeeping were such interesting topics. You wanted to taste everything the farmers would allow. You’d always wanted to make note of the taste differences between local, fresh products and store bought.

“Victor, it’s incredible here!” You adjusted your sunhat as the wind blew through your hair. “It’s so beautiful!”

Victor made a noise of triumph. That cocky ‘harrumph’ you were used to hearing when he wanted to say “I know it is” or “I told you so”. His hand settled on your hip, taking in the view instead of saying what he wanted to say.

“It is quite nice.” That was all he was going to say? Man, you knew your fiance could be stoic but sometimes he really outdid himself.

“Do you think we could take some of their fresh foods and homemade products home with us? I would love to try some things out! Oh and I bet the things that they grow here taste so yummy,” you gushed. Your mouth practically watered at the thought.

A soft smile played upon the CEO’s lips as he watched your glee. “Of course. I already planned to. It’s always best to buy things fresh and in season when you can. They also raise goats and make many products with goat milk. Along with that, they are a no waste farm. Everything gets used. They even make sure to use the wax cappings from the honey they’ve harvested.”

It never ceased to amaze you just how much your fiance knew about all sorts of things. You weren’t dumb, despite what Victor’s nickname for you may suggest. You knew many things of your own. Victor just had so much knowledge of so many different things. He’d be perfect for a game show!

“Ah, Mr. Li, it’s nice to see you again. And you’ve brought a guest with you.” A kindly looking older gentleman came to greet you. One of the oldest farmers you’d seen since you had arrived. “I’m the owner of the Brighton Farm, Alexander Brighton. This farm has been in my family for generations.” 

You shook his hand with a smile. “I’m MC, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Brighton. You have such a beautiful farm. How large is this farm?”

“Ah, you’d like a small tour, then! Wonderful!” That hadn’t been what you’d asked but you wouldn’t refuse. A tour of such a wonderful farm would be hard to resist. “We have nearly 2,000 acres all together. A good percentage of that are multiple pastures for the cattle, sheep, goats, and horses. We have some land for growing vegetables as well. But most the rest that we don’t live on is all one large orchard.”

You and Victor followed Mr. Brighton to a Mule, a small vehicle that he said he used to just get around the farm. There were multiple for people to use to get to different places for working. Most of the people working on the farm were family members or long-term hires. Anyone he hired could live on the property for free as he “had so much land still unused”. 

“I won’t take you too close to the beehives. They’re a bit on the agitated side today, though our bees are typically very gentle. Honey bees are actually very docile you know. But they just had a hive inspection to check for mites and cross comb. Both are a real issue. We don’t inspect our hives too much, that just makes them cranky, but we have to do it every once in a while. Healthy bees are happy bees!”

You were taking vigorous notes in your journal. It was like being in school again. Only this time you were enjoying the subject matter and not bored in a classroom. If you had glanced at Victor more often you would have seen the warm and proud smile that had not left his face even once. Seeing you so in your zone and enjoying things made him happy. All he wanted was for you to be the best you could be and do the best you could. Sometimes that meant being pushy and sounding harsh. Because of his approach, he’d gotten to watch your growth first hand. While he did the pushing, you were growing all on your own. He just kept you going in the right direction and assisted as needed, like with revising your proposals. 

“Mr. Brighton, do you spray your plants with anything,” you asked, tapping your pen against the side of your chin.

“Heavens no. Never! We do not use pesticides on my farm, it’s not healthy for anyone who eats it and certainly not for the pollinators that come to our plants, including our precious bees.”

“Sir, do you think I could do a segment on my show about your farm? Come back and get some footage and do some interviews? I want to show the magic behind what you do and how much care goes into everything here.” There it was. The moment Victor had waited for. You knew he was, judging by how he had asked questions for you when you couldn’t think of anything yourself. 

“Put this place on TV? I don’t see why not! You won’t be allowed to get your crew too close to my bees, mind you, but I don’t mind if you do something on us here. I think the world should see there’s more to farms than cruel factory farming”

He pulled up to rows upon rows of tame blackberry bushes. Many still had red or turning berries upon their vines. There were some with perfectly ripe berries ready to be picked.

“You can pick some berries yourselves. We always encourage people to come out and pick for themselves. We do the same for all of our fruits, though we are more picky with our vegetables.” He handed you and Victor a large bucket. “You’ll pay by weight before you leave. My son will be in the house when you’re ready! You can also buy all sorts of our products while you’re in there. Oh and feel free to eat a few while you’re picking.” He threw a wink your way and waved before driving off. 

He’d given such a long tour of the property. Not all of the pastures, thankfully, but you’d gotten to see pretty much everything. You had many notes and photos. All you’d have to do once you got home would be write up your proposal and share the plans with your staff. Victor clearly endorsed the idea, though he would likely demand you make a proper proposal for the sake of professionalism. 

“Thank you,” you murmured as you began checking blackberries to pick.

Victor picked berries with skill and precision beside you, clearly having done it before. “What for?”

“For bringing me here. You knew I was stumped for a new idea, didn’t you?”

He chuckled a little. “Dummy, I remember the things that you tell me. You said you wanted to do an episode about fresh food and that you weren’t sure how to go about it. I just made some calls.”

You stood on your toes to kiss his cheek. “Now I can make a perfect episode all about this. I have so many ideas.”

“I want a proposal by Friday.”

“You’re cruel!”

Victor huffed and held a blackberry up to your lips. “If you’re so excited about doing an episode about this place, writing up your proposal to give to me shouldn’t be a problem now should it?”

You eyed your fiance for a minute with a pout before pulling the blackberry from his fingers and into your mouth. It burst with a sweet, slightly tangy flavor. It was the tastiest blackberry you’d ever had! Though the sight of Victor’s slightly purple finger tips made it hard not to laugh.

“This is so tasty! You’ve got to try one-”

Victor cut you off with a kiss, his tongue dipping between your lips and into your mouth. You were blushing as he pulled away, a smirk on his face.

“You’re quite right.”

awe this is cute! Honestly, im from a really tiny island and a complete city girl, so this was a little hard to tackle, but hope you’ll like it regardless!! ^^

YOOSUNG:

*As much as he doesn’t want to admit it, he’s also a bit of a country bumpkin-sure, he’s an absoloute introvert who loves to stay home and play games, but if he has to go out, he’d much rather be in the countryside rather than the city-the quietness and the friendliness of people just lifts his spirits every time, and he’s actually quite fond of gardening and farming chores!

* He realised MC is similar to him when they got talking and he realised how much she prefers the countryside to the city-she explained how she was born and raised in a little rural area hours away from the town they live in now, and how moving into the city was a huge deal for her.

* Yoosung’s so excited? He asks MC about anything and everything, asks her if her parents work in argiculture (yes, they do), what animals they raise (mainly chickens Yoosung, she answers with a little giggle), if all her family lives in the countryside (nowdays no, it’s just her grandparents but her parents aren’t too far away)

* He decides they HAVE to take the next weekend as an opprotunity to visit her family. It’s not like he hasn’t met them before-they’ve talked frequently through skype when they check in with MC, and her parents seem to adore Yoosung-he’s shy but such a little ball of energy, she’s sure they can’t wait to meet him up close.

* So they both pack their bags, hop on a bus and spend the hours-long ride watching TV shows on their phones or playing online games together ‘till the signal weakens too much-a signal that they’ve arrived.

* MC sure wasn’t exaggerating when she said it’s a very small rural city-by the time they reach the bus station the roads turn from asphalt to dirt-roads, and he has already counted over 4 donkeys walking by the side of the street!

* MC’s parents were there to greet and pick up the two of them, taking them to MC’s grandparents place where they’d be staying the weekend-and Yoosung was THRILLED. MC seemed so happy to be seeing her grandparents, and they both seemed to love Yoosung so much, if the fact that they kept trying to get him to eat more food was any indication?

* He let MC guide him around, taking him out to the back of the house and into the big courtyard where her grandparents had planted fruit-bearing trees and vegetables, stopping by the kitchen coop where she remembered the names of every single chicken around.

* It was different from what Yoosung was used to, but he loved it-and seeing the smile on MC’s face, he loved it even more.

ZEN:

* Zen’s a city boy, through and through. He was born for the hustle and bustle of cars and trains, for the busy bustling life.

* So when MC’s parents called, insisting she and Zen come visit them on their next time off, she was perplexed-she wanted to see her family, and Zen seemed eager to meet them too...only she never told him where she grew up.

* She never mentioned that she lives in the countryside, how her parents have their own vegetable patch and sell the best lettuces and potatoes to big supermarkets-it’s not that she was embarassed of it, on the contrary she was proud of her parents’ hard work, but she had no idea how Zen would react to the idea of staying where there’s barely a decent phone signal for a few days.

* Well, it seems she was worried for nothing-when she explained the situation to him, he was thrilled! He packed more relaxed clothes for their trip, slacks and even farmer jeans he’d been saving in the back of the closet, that really...shouldn’t look as good on him as they did.

* She was worried throughout the trip, and Zen rolled his eyes as he held her hand, rubbing soothing circles on her knuckles. “I love you, and I love everything about you, your hometown included. There’s nothing to worry about!”

* And well, he was right. Her parents were so excited to meet Zen, they’d invited her grandparents and cousins for dinner, a huge meditarranean feast with produce they had grown and were proud of, and Zen was so happy to try it all and even help set and clean the table-her mother had taken her aside at some point, tipsy with wine as she whispered in her ear ‘don’t you EVER let this man go!’

* The next morning, MC woke up to find Zen wasn’t next to her-no, instead, he was out in the field with her dad, where he’d been doing all the heavy lifting for her parents-and seeing her man with sweat on his brow, his sleeves rolled up and a sack of potatoes over his shoulder shouldn’t be as hot as it was, but it’s Zen so-that’s a normal reaction, right? Right?!

JAEHEE:

* Boy....

* When MC’s parents said they’d love to meet her girlfriend, she was so shooketh-of course she wanted to meet MC’s family, but this suddenly? They’d invited them over this weekend?! She had no time to practice her reactions and speech and oh god, what if they hated her, what would Jaehee dO-

* “Jaehee, baby...I have to tell you something.”

* Jaehee’s mind went on overdrive. Oh no. OH NO. Were her parents going to hate her? Were they inviting them over to tell MC to dump her, is this what it was about? What MC wanted to tell her?!

* “Um, my parents-I was born and raised in the countryside. Our property is actually a house with a farm where we raise cows and sheep for milk and wool. Uhm, I just-I guess I wanted to make sure it’d be cool with you to stay over at this sort of place for the weekend?”

* Oh. Oh?! Is that all? Jaehee breathed a sigh of relief, turning to look to MC with a small smile. “Of course it’s alright MC. I’d love to meet your family and see the place you grew up at. I just...” she shrugged, a blush on her cheeks, “I just hope your parents will like me.”

* MC rolled her eyes. From the little they saw of Jaehee when MC skyped them, they’d already said she’s the best partner for their daughter-’the only one able to knock some sense into you’, her father has specifically said.

* Turns out Jaehee was far more of a countryside girl than she’d initially thought-she spent the weekend learning all she could from MC’s parents, meeting the sheep and even getting licked on the cheek by an over-excited cow, at which she laughed until tears formed in her eyes.

* At night, she sat at the porch with MC, a glass of wine in one hand, her other interlaced with MC’s. She was wearing a woolen sweater MC’s mom had knitted specifically for Jaehee, a ‘welcome-to-the-family’ gift as she called it, and it took everything in Jaehee’s heart to stop from crying.

* “I want that”, she said as she looked out to the starry night above them, far brighter than what they could see from their little apartment in the city.

* “Want what?” MC asked with a hum. Jaheee sighed, looking to the woman she loved, imagining the future ahead of them. “This” she said, “A life like this, for us-to be able to just hold each other and be proud of our produce and live quietly in the countryside-I can see how much you love it here and...I love it too. I-I love to see you this happy” she admitted.

* MC smiled, big and toothy as she leaned close to give Jaehee a quick kiss on the lips. “And we’ll have just that. We have the rest of our lives to plan it out” she added. 

* Jaheee laughed. “That almost sounds like a proposal” she grinned.  “Maybe it is” MC said cryptically.

JUMIN:

* Of course he had to visit MC’s family and properly introduce himself, as he’d be the one to marry their daughter. Despite MC’s concerns, he was the one to call her parents and introduce himself, explaining that he’d love to meet the family of the woman he loves as soon as possible.

* MC’s parents were....baffled, to say the least, and demanded MC explain everything to them-how could she be ready to marry this man when she never even told them she was dating him?! But she promised they’d meet him soon and they’d explain everything, so they calmed down, and said they’d expect the two to come over this weekend.

* MC bit her lip as she turned to Jumin as she hang up the phone. “Um, baby-I should tell you first, my family lives um-they live in the countryside. Is that...okay?”

* Jumin frowned. “Why would it not be? I want to know everything about you my love” he said, taking a step forward to take MC’s hands in his. “I want to meet your parents, see the place you grew up in, learn everything there is about you-it wouldn’t make a difference to me if you grew up here or the other side of the world.”

* With that, MC remained quiet, saying little else about her upbringing until the day they were to go to her family’s home. She saw Jumin pack his usual suit and tie and smiled a tight-lipped smile. “You won’t need those there. Rather...it’d be best to take something far, far more casual” she said cryptically. Jumin blinked owlishly but complied, taking out his suits in place of casual shirts and slack pants, as casual as a man like him could get.

* When they arrived hours later to her family home, he understood what she meant. Her home was in a rural area, bordered by green lush forest all around, and right beside it was a long stretch of a vineyeard, where they met her parents, a crate of grapes besides them.

* They were more than weary of Jumin at first, eyeing him like a foe-especially MC’s father, but when they all sat down for dinner and explained the situation to her parents, they started warming up to him. Her mother was more than pleased when he started asking about their vineyeard, clearly knowledgable in both wines and the different kinds of grapes there were.

* MC loved to see Jumin bond with her family, and was so excited when the next morning he woke up earlier than her to get dressed and head down to the gardens to help her parents spray the grapes to protect them from bugs, then going down to the small strawberry garden with her mom to pick fruits to make jam.

* Seeing Jumin smile with no inhibitions, standing side by side with her mother as he carried a crate of strawberries so MC’s mom wouldn’t have to do any heavy lifting....already she could see a life ahead of her with this wonderful, gentle man, and she couldn’t wait another moment to start living it with him.

SEVEN/SAEYOUNG/LUCIEL:

* He’d talked with her parents many times online, peeking at the corner of the camera whilst they face-timed their daughter. At first he was shy, barely able to stutter out a word to them, but eventually he was more than used to greeting them, even cracking jokes with her dad and talking about the latest gossip from the farmer’s markets with her mom.

* Of course he knew all about where she grew up-he hacked into all of that information the moment MC had stumbled into the RFA chatroom!

* He’s not really fond of the countryside-Saeyoung has so much energy as a person that a place that offers him little stimulation is borderline furstrating, so he never attempted even visiting the countryside before. 

* When he explained just that to MC though, she laughed, loud and bright. “Baby, if you want, just try and help out my parents with their daily tasks...I promise you by the end of the day you’ll be begging to just sit down and do nothing for hours on end.”

* Well, MC was....partly right. As soon as they arrived to her parents’ home, stopping a few times along the way as Saeyoung’s pricey sports’ car rumbled and complained on the dirt roads, he excitedly greeted her folks with hugs and kisses, telling them he’s ready to get to work.

* MC explained how he wanted to help them as much as possible this weekend they’d be staying over, and they were both overjoyed-a chance for them to relax a little was rare when there was both livestock and wide stretches of vegetables and fruit to take care of, and they’d take any opprotunity they could.

* So MC...barely saw Saeyoung the rest of that day. Instead she was content to let her parents guide him around, choosing instead to make some lemonade to take to all three of them on the fields as a little break.

* What she found when she walked out into the vegetable patch was an unexpected yet welcome sight-Saeyoung, a rake in his hands, farming gloves on his hands as he cleaned the soil and helped her mom pick out the cabbages that were ready for harvest, Saeyoung laughing besides her dad at one thing or another, looking like he belonged right there-it warmed her heart, to see a man that had been through so much laugh this bright.

* When Saeyoung turned to look to her, his smile shifted into something more private, his gaze clearly filled with love, enough to make her cheeks redden.

* Her mother walked up to her, taking a glass of lemonade from the disk MC held as she leaned close to whisper to her daughters ear; “This one’s a keeper honey. You better marry the heck out of him!” 

* And boy, looking to Saeyoung, walking towards them with his bright silly grin, his hair matted with dirt from the soil, his eyes crinkling with glee-her mother was right. MC would marry the heck out of this man.

a/n: listen, here’s the thing. as much as I like the idea of someone proposing to another person publicly when they’re actors or whatever, I feel like if an idol (especially bts) were to do that, them and their future wife would be lynched. so I didn’t go full-on with this as you might have wanted me to, but I just couldn’t get myself to write this reaction where the boys drop to their knees in front of an entire stadium of army’s where 90% of them want to marry them themselves.. but I hope you still like what I did.

“So I heard that three of you are now in a relationship since the last time we saw each other,” the interviewer asked with excitement, “Jungkook, J-Hope and Jin.. am I right?”

Jeongguk blushed, even harder when Taehyung wrapped his arm around his neck, Hobi just smiled brightly, while Jin was his usual confident self.

“Yes!” he answered.

“And you, Jin, you're actually dating a fellow singer, aren't you?” the interviewer waited for confirmation before he asked, “Anything you want to say to her right now while you're here in the US and she's back in Korea?”

“Of cooooourse,” Jin turned to face the camera, then smiled, “(Y/N)? You and I should really get married soon,” he said in Korean, the rest of the boys starting to laugh wholeheartedly.

Everyone, including fans when they saw it later thought it was a joke, especially because of that look and the hand kiss he gave.

But when he came back, the first thing he did was put a ring on your finger to make it official.

It was so random that most ARMY's kind of missed it or brushed it off.

But you didn't. Because you knew that he meant it when he said it.

It was at the end of the concert, all the boys were walking around the stage, smiling, waving, saying their goodbye's and thank you's.

You stood up and clapped, smiling brightly when Yoongi found you in the VIP section, his undivided attention now on you.

And then he said it.

“Hey, (Y/N)? Marry me.”

You were taken aback at first, definitely not having expected something like this tonight, but then you started laughing and began nodding, giving a big thumbs up as a yes.

It might have been random and not romantic at all, but you still loved it. It was the kind of proposal you always imagined Yoongi and you having, to be honest.

And you couldn't help but laugh when Jin suddenly threw confetti over Yoongi's head and screamed: “SHE SAID YES!”

“Now, J-Hope, I've heard that your girlfriend is currently on tour as well with her group.. are you guys talking at all during these times or is it difficult for you?” Graham asked.

Hoseok waited for Namjoon to finish the translation, then he said: “Oooooh no. Easy. We.. talk every day. Phone.”

“Ah, the age of technology,” the crowd laughed as he said it, “But still, it must be hard on all of you to be away from your family, friends, loved ones.. like.. if you could tell her one thing right now what would it be?”

“To answer my question.”

“And what question would that be?”

And well.. when he pointed at his ring finger, the crowd fucking lost it.

So did you when you called him later that night because he hadn't even asked you that question yet, “You just proposed to me on a TV show and I wasn't even there!”

“You still haven't answered the question, Jagi.”

There was only one answer, but you let him wait for it for another minute before you finally said: “Of course I will marry you, you moron..”

You were the MC tonight as they won.

You had announced it that they had won.

And Namjoon was just so.. happy. After he gave their usual thank you speech, after they had celebrated and danced around happily, you and him went behind the other idols, just because he knew you wanted to congratulate him, but obviously not in front of all the people.

“I'm so proud of you,” you whispered, gently brushing over his cheek, but Namjoon grabbed your hand, turned it around and kissed your knuckles.

“Baby, there is something I need to do,” he's had the ring with him ever since he bought it, just waiting for the right moment.

Some idols turned around and saw it, but didn't scream or anything. That would have been too suspicious.

But they did smile and were happy for you two, some even watching the proposal.

So was Bangtan when they turned around and found you two kissing, a ring now sitting on your finger.

“I'm so nervous.. I don't think I can do this,” Jimin glanced to the side where he could see you and your group perform on stage right now.

It wasn't the real deal. That would happen tonight, but there were still a shit ton of people here today. A shit ton of people that would witness it if you said no.

“Hey,” Namjoon knelt down in front of him and put his hand on his band member's shoulder, “You've been together for so long, there is no way she'll say no. This girl out there adores you more than I can even describe it. She loves you so much, Jiminie. I am so sure that once you get down on your knee, she will start crying because she's so happy.”

For a moment he just looked at his leader, then he asked: “But what if she won't?”

“You won't find that out, because it won't happen.”

He didn't know when the rest of Bangtan joined, but when he looked up, they were all standing there, looking at him with a proud smile, a supportive one.

They were all right here, giving him comfort, telling him that he could do this. They’ve always been his strength, after all.

And so he got up, grabbed the ring box out of his pants and just.. did it.

“What are you..-” you were still a little out of breath from the dancing and singing, but you stopped breathing altogether when you saw what he did.

And even though it wasn't millions of fans, it was the staff members, the other idols, the family members.. anyone who was here and who saw it.. they all clapped when you jumped into his arms..

..because you said yes.

“Who are you texting?” his stylist asked when she realized how focused Taehyung was on his phone.. and how.. nervous he looked.

“(Y/N),” he sighed, but then smiled, “I have a surprise for her tonight..”

“Oh? And what's that?”

“I practiced.”

“Well.. I hope you did,” she laughed, continuing to do his hair.

“No, not anything BTS related. Not dancing, not singing.. at least not for her. I practiced something different for her.”

He honestly couldn't remember how you two ended up watching a video about sign language, but both of you had been so interested in it that you started learning a few things here and there. You soon realized that it actually came in handy quite a lot. When there were deaf fans at fan signs, you both managed to communicate with them now, even if it was just basic stuff, but you made a lot of people happy.

But tonight, it wasn't basic.

Tonight was special.

Because after the concert was over and after he was sure your eyes were on him, he signed: “Will you marry me?”

Some people would probably figure it out after the concert, but the screams didn't get louder then, so he figured most people probably didn't even see it, or didn’t understand it.

But you did.

And your reply was one that made him smile from ear to ear.

“Yes.”

This was the last stage.

Everyone had been looking forward to the joint performance of your group and BTS.

The song had been a massive hit, this stage was the first you'd perform together. For the most part you danced separately, but towards the end, you moved closer together, until you all had your partners (good thing the number of people in your groups matched).

And because you and Jeongguk were together – even if it was still a secret – it was no surprise that you were dancing with him at the end.

The last thing you did was wrap one arm around his neck and pull him close, then the lights went off.

You could hear the crowd scream, could feel Jeongguk's heart beat fast against your chest and could feel his hot breath on your face.

“You did..-”

“Marry me,” he interrupted.

“What?” you leaned back, staring at him in the dim light.

“I mean it, (Y/N). Marry me.”

At first you thought it was because of the adrenaline the performance had given him. That's why you had laughed it off that night. But the next night when you were at your place, he asked you again, making it clear that he meant every word he had said.

And you did too when you answered: “I will.”

So uhhhhhhhhhh... here’s the thing. I was tagged in the Jacob Character Challenge by @wilhelminafujita and indirectly by @batgirl-87 a long ass time ago. I was also tagged by @batgirl-87 in the MC Character Challenge but I don’t... watch enough TV or movies to actually do that one all the way! So I’ve gone ahead and merged the two challenges into just a collage of five characters for both of them

Explanations for the choices below!

Jacob Caradoc Dwyn

Ephemer (Kingdom Hearts series)

I made a direct comparison a long time ago, but tell me if this is familiar: an overly curious boy goes missing while investigating a huge conspiracy and you spend most of the prequel mobile game he stars in hunting his ghosting ass down while he occasionally sends you vision messages

The similarities go way beyond just their roles, though. Ephemer is a big conspiracy theorist who hates not knowing things and will do whatever it takes to hunt down the truth

Most people thought he was absolutely crazy, as you do when someone tells you that they think you’re all secretly being sent into holographic simulations when you go on missions (but he was also totally right)

He’s also notoriously overconfident in combat. You meet Ephemer because he decided to take on a monster way stronger than he was and got seriously hurt. But at least he’s self-aware enough to admit it (but also... is really gung-ho about fighting things in the current arc...)

He’s a genuinely nice guy but not above needling people to get the information he wants from them

Loyal as hell to the people he cares about and protective of them. Like, he really doesn’t know your Avatar all that well but still rushes out onto a battlefield to save you and volunteers himself to go on a potentially deadly mission with you just so that you won’t have to go alone

...buuuuuuut he’s not above going off on his own without telling anyone in an attempt to keep them “safe” and then getting into serious trouble for it

Is currently having a panic attack because he was placed in charge of a gang of teenagers and has to be The Responsible One™ but clearly hates it, which is what I imagine Jacob would do if you ever made him a leader in any capacity

Messy hair and an adorable smile

Honestly it’d be easier to list the things that Jacob and Ephemer don’t have in common. I didn’t intentionally base Jacob off of him but I won’t deny that a lot of Ephemer probably influenced Jacob’s character

Sokka (Avatar the Last Airbender)

Sokka’s on here mostly due to his relationship with his little sister, Katara. Jacob’s relationship with Seren is a very strong mirror to the Southern Water Tribe siblings

He’s really smart, but because he’s also very goofy a lot of people tend to overlook just how much creativity and ingenuity he brings to the table

No, Sokka’s seriously one of the smartest members of the cast. There’s a reason they call him “the ideas guy.” He knows when to get serious and break out the logic and reason. It’s never stopped him from being a loud, boisterous goofball, though

Cursed by the universe to a lifetime of misfortune

Sokka is very loyal and protective to his younger sister, but because she’s generally more emotionally measured it comes across like she’s taking care of him. And he knows that and really loves her for it, but it just makes him want to take care of her more, since that should be his job

They bicker a lot, but in the end they’re completely inseparable

Ellie (Up)

A bit of an unorthodox choice, but Ellie really is the physical embodiment of Jacob’s excitement to travel and Hufflepuff hard-working nature in a lot of ways

Ellie has huge dreams of exploring distant lands and she goes at it with such gusto that it’s completely infectious

Some people would argue that it’s overwhelming, but Ellie doesn’t really care about their opinion. She’s doing it for her own satisfaction!

When she falls in love with Carl, her goal changes to having both of them go on the trip together in much the same way that Jacob would really prefer traveling with his precious little sister, Seren, than by himself because they’re a team

She saves up her whole life for this trip. She never once gives up on it entirely. Despite the setbacks, despite the fact that she passed away before ever even accomplishing her goal, she was always working towards that great adventure

Sherlock Holmes (Ace Attorney Series - The Great Ace Attorney/Dai Gyakuten Saiban)

I am... so glad that I didn’t make this until after the fan translation for DGS came out because hoooooooo boy does Ace Attorney Sherlock give me mad Jacob Dwyn vibes

(I was always going to make Jacob a huge Sherlock Holmes fan so this worked out way too perfectly)

Ace Attorney Sherlock is legitimately very perceptive and good at picking up on minute details, but because he’s so overzealous about his detective work he has a tendency to jump to conclusions a little too fast and usually ends up having to be redirected by his more calm partner

Once you get him on the right track, though, he’s an unstoppable crime-solving machine (with the bonus ability of being really damn good at sleight-of-hand stuff)

He’s also hugely eccentric. Would Jacob Dwyn just hang from the wall by a hook while wearing an expensive tiara for the hell of it during an investigation? Ooooooh yes

Jacob’s a lot less wildly inaccurate, though, because he does genuinely want to solve the crimes to the best of his ability

I am absolutely certain that Jacob wouldn’t hesitate to tell everyone he knows about all of the mysteries he’s solved with his sister because guys. Guys it was so cool. Yes, I am THE Jacob Dwyn of the Dwyn Detective Agency please pay attention to my cool job

Sherlock is a Good Dad and Jacob is a Good Brother. Case Closed.

Ant-Man/Scott Lang (Marvel Cinematic Universe - Ant Man)

By this point you should be seeing a pattern. Smart, creative guy who’s also pretty goofy who has a younger female character that he loves greatly

Scott, though, isn’t above doing a lot of really sneaky stuff and taking unscrupulous jobs to get to his (admittedly pretty noble) goals. He adds that slight bit of moral edge we were missing from the Jacob equation. Not much, but some

Like I just think of the scene where Scott uses a bunch of creative methods to break into Pym’s house. Methods that require a lot of knowledge of security systems and science

He also does not let the rules stop him from doing what he thinks is right. It’s how he ended up in prison in the first place

Jacob Dwyn would unironically get very excited about a “Time Heist” and you can’t convince me otherwise

Also, the snark and quips. Can’t forget that Jacob’s an incorrigible sarcastic doofus

What can I say? Scott’s undying loyalty to his daughter matches Jacob’s undying loyalty for his sister perfectly

(We are all very lucky that Jacob wants to solve crimes because he would be way too good at doing crimes)

Seren Aisling Dwyn

Saoirse (Song of the Sea)

It wouldn���t have been right to make this list without including one of the characters that inspired Jacob and Seren in the first place and Seren fit Saoirse better than Jacob fit her brother, Ben

Song of the Sea is an Irish film about the two kids of a Selkie mother and a human father, who hides their heritage from them when their mother disappears (note: Jacob and Seren’s mom does not disappear). This hidden heritage causes Saoirse a lot of physical problems (i.e. rendering her mute, making her physically grow weaker the longer she’s apart from her seal’s coat), just like Seren’s hidden Siren heritage causes her to completely fail to address her additional needs that leads to a lot of unintentional illness in her Hogwarts years

Ben and Saoirse have to try and get back home so that Saoirse can sing the Song of the Sea and sent the Fair Folk home. That’s where I got the idea for Jacob and Seren to go wandering off alone as kids and encountering a bunch of magical creatures during their adventures from

Ben totally hated Saoirse until later in the movie, which inspired Jacob hating Seren after she’s born but warming up to her in a few months

Personality-wise, Saoirse may look sweet and quiet, but she’s a huge ball of sass. It’s just easy to miss because she only conveys it in her facial expressions, which is something that Seren’s always done, too

She also doesn’t follow their grandmother’s rules well. She’ll go along with things to a point, but the second she doesn’t agree she’ll strike off on her own and get it done by herself despite how tiny she is

(A lot of younger!Seren was inspired by Saoirse)

When given the opportunity to leave with the Faeries and her mother, she chooses to stay behind with her brother and father because she loves them, and while Seren isn’t fond of either of her parents, she would stay behind for Jacob

Yew Geneolgia (Bravely Second)

Okay... look, I promise that I didn’t just base Seren off of Yew because I made her before finishing Bravely Second but...

Playing Bravely Second was an experience after making Seren

So my boy Yew Geneolgia is the youngest member of a noble and prestigious house, was never expecting to inherit it because he had an older (half-)brother so he went to magic school and ended up being, like, the smartest student there, to the point where they had to give him a secret special ranking on the school ranking system because he was tooooo smart at magic (*cough* Seren singlehandedly winning the House Cup every year *cough*)

Of course their father doesn’t want to let Yew’s brother inherit anything because he’s not a pureblood noble (and the Dwyn siblings aren’t pureblood wizards). Yew’s brother disappears hunting down a sword in order to earn his way back into the family

Yew goes hunting the sword down to try and bring his brother home and surprise surprise it’s CURSED

(The Geneolgia siblings are not a perfect match to the Dwyn siblings but there are a LOT of similar elements there)

After his brother goes missing again after finding Yew with the cursed sword, Yew decides that he’s just going to try and be his older brother by taking up his place as a swordsman despite sucking at it. In Year 4, Seren decides that everyone just wants Jacob and not her, so she starts modeling herself after him more until she can’t keep it up anymore in late Year 5

So a small, young magic nerd who’s extremely awkward in social situations whose story revolves around a missing older brother that they attempt to emulate, unsuccessfully

Also, Yew is the one making all of the Bestiary entries. He’s clearly got an interest in Zoological stuff and he’s a very good artist since he does all of the illustrations in there, too

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (How to Train Your Dragon Series)

Hey speaking of Zoology did you know that Seren was into Magizoology and is very good at befriending creatures? It’s true!

Seren in her early years at Hogwarts is very similar to Hiccup from the first film. She’s shy, but undeniably witty and sarcastic. Her self-confidence is extremely low because she keeps getting compared to more successful family members. Her strengths come from her intelligence and being able to look at things from angles others might not, like extending empathy to creatures that most would hate

She’d never be able to hurt a dragon like Toothless come on. He’s too cute. Too sweet

As she gets older she still matches up with Hiccup, though. He finds himself being thrust into a leadership position and having to adjust, but doing so gracefully and with emotional maturity in much the same way that Seren steps up to lead the Cursed Vault crew when she needs to

You have to be pretty fearless to step up to a dragon that could bite your head off and then learn to fly on it, and when it comes down to it Seren is just as fearless in anything that is not a social interaction

I’m sorry, did I just hear SELF-SACRIFICIAL TENDENCIES? Why yes, yes I do believe that I did

And Hiccup will never, ever give up on Toothless no matter what. No matter what the dragon does (or is forced to do in the second film). Just like Seren will never give up on Jacob. No matter the cost

Ema Skye (Ace Attorney Series - Apollo Justice)

I know that Ema was in Spirit of Justice, too, but I don’t know anything about that one so I’m only covering her appearances chronologically up to Apollo Justice

I didn’t realize until watching someone’s blind playthrough of Apollo Justice recently just how much Seren was like Ema

So Ema starts off strong already as A Very Devoted Little Sister who absolutely refuses to believe that her older sister is guilty of a crime despite her sister confessing to it

(She ended up being right and her sister was blackmailed into covering it up which was honestly my default situation for the Dwyn siblings before the Portrait Vault chapter came out. Ema’s sister was being blackmailed with evidence that could implicate Ema with murder, Jacob would have been blackmailed with Seren’s safety. Which is still true, I suppose, but we’ll see how this holds up later)

She’s very passionate about forensic science in the same way that I imagine Seren can be in her own interests like Magizoology and later on the development of forensic magic

Almost a decade later, though, and Ema is... super jaded and grouchy. She’s sarcastic and kinda rude, but lights up again if you get her talking about her interests

She also doesn’t have her dream job but is instead... a detective. though Seren’s a lot more content as a detective than Ema is because she’s got Jacob and a license to do creature-related cases

But just the progression from the innocent kid to the jaded adult detective is... such a good match that I just had to put Ema in here

Katara (Avatar the Last Airbender)

And just like Jacob had Sokka, Seren gets Katara to round it off

There might be something to be said about the Southern Water Tribe siblings and the Dwyn Siblings both being linked to water as an element

I already covered a lot of this in Jacob’s section, but they have a similar dynamic

Katara is a Mom Friend extraordinaire who obsessively takes care of everyone in the group, even when it’s not her place to. A lot of them find it overbearing sometimes

While she’s generally fairly mature and level-headed, when she gets mad she gets absolutely furious and cannot be stopped until she’s satisfied

“You can’t knock me down!” is such an iconic line and very much embodies Seren’s stubbornness and determination to get back up and keep trying no matter what

She loves her brother. She’s not above criticizing him or the occasional jab, but she also knows when to give him credit for the incredibly smart things that he does. Nobody will defend him quite as hard as she will when she has to

The lovable, goofy, intelligent, protective older brother and the equally intelligent, mature, caring, stubborn younger sister. There’s no better way to describe the Dwyn Siblings than that

She heard rumors from fan fics like @jovialyouthmusic Protect and Serve series and @bobasheebaby NSFW ABC list that Bastien was well-endowed. Dammit! Why do the fan fic writers have control over the size of his penis and I can’t even see it? Go figure @strangerofbraidwood a wlw writer, would have the guts to create this edit. She doesn’t even like dicks, yet she did this for other members of the fandom. My god, how many other readers have I ignored and offended? “Apple Cobbler, my eyes are up here.” Kara’s face was already flushed, but her cheeks grew even warmer when she realized Bas caught her staring. “I’m sorry. The bright light between Bastien’s legs was getting noticeably brighter as he thought about his favorite Baslivia fan fic moments. @tornbetween2loves for giving him those steamy scenes with Olivia in her Shifting Focus series. When they were playing pool and she distracted him by slipping off her red thong, purposely bending over to give him a show. And then she used the thong to pull back her hair. The scent was intoxicating. And that time when she showed up wearing a trench coat and fedora. Fuck. @stopforamoment still can’t get that picture out of her head, it was so hot. And those fucking backseam stockings Olivia was wearing. He thought the bright light between his legs would explode with a show of fireworks. Kara’s eyes narrowed. “What about @emceesynonymroll and her Finding Riley series? You had a sex dream about your Queen right in front of her, and you had to play it off as a nightmare. Then you quickly rolled over, hoping you wouldn’t need a manual release.” The light between Bastien’s legs started to dim. “Kara, you aren’t fighting fair.” But Kara was only getting started. “And @stopforamoment and that slow burn from hell with over 96 chapters before you even got a real kiss on the lips? How many times did you have to masturbate because Rinda was so clueless about your feelings for her, or how sexually attracted you were to her.” Bastien’s jaw twitched. “Tria was worth it.” “What about @bobasheebaby?” Now a warm smile played across his lips. “Yes. She’s one of my favorites. She has so many series about me, and I’m allowed to explore my full potential with her. My sexual orientation. Multiple partners. My kinks. And I am more than just a guard with her. I can also be a mobster. A father. She understands me better than anyone else, and she’s sacrificed so much for me as she argues with her evil muse.”

Kara scoffed. “Really, Bas? Do you know what her Mistress of Evil muse has been up to?”

Bastien shook his head slowly. The ending of When Fairytales Break almost broke him. “No, Kara. It’s how that story needed to end. But I have so many other happy moments with Olivia. Olivia and Caleb. Harlow. Beth. Liza. Even Christy. And that Bastien NSFW ABC list she created with some help from @stopforamoment? They went through so many pairs of panties as they wrote it for me and the fandom.” The light between his legs began flashing uncontrollably as he thought of those panties.

It was a blinding strobe light, and Kara knew she needed to control it before she had an epileptic seizure. “But what about her latest Evil Liam series Be Careful What You Wish For?”

Bastien’s face paled and his strobe muted to weak flare ups. “That fic focuses on MC Rebecca’s love for Drake, and how Liam is getting in the way of their happiness.”

“Yes, but . . .”  Kara’s voice lowered as she prepared to deliver the fatal blow.

“No! No plot spoilers, Kara! I haven’t finished the most recent chapter yet!”

Inside Tomorrow X Together's Debut Showcase in Seoul: 'We're Really Thankful We've Had This Great Reaction'

"We don't think we're deserving to be called BTS' little brother," TXT leader Soobin told local media. "We'll work harder."

March 5 would have just been a normal day in the K-pop industry with a new boy band set to meet the media at their debut showcase, except for the fact that it was no normal group about to make its first appearance.

Less than 24 hours after sharing their debut single with the world, Tomorrow X Together was making their first-ever media appearance to meet international press, perform their song "Crown" and share a bit more about themselves. As was announced multiple times throughout the conference, Tomorrow X Together -- also known as TXT -- was the "first idol group from Big Hit Entertainment in six years" marking the biggest artistic addition to the company since BTS' debut in 2013. Before and after the showcase, those familiar with the K-pop scene chatted about the large number of reporters in attendance, the band's already huge YouTube numbers on the "Crown" video, as well the fact that English-speaking interpreters were on hand to translate for international media in attendance (including Billboard).

Taking place at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul, the location had a particular sentimental significance as the venue was the location where BTS held their first-ever concert when it was known as AX-Korea. If just from the symbolism between the venues, Big Hit Entertainment's interest and standing in the industry has undoubtedly swelled, never mind the humongous posters draping the building and curious fans in school uniforms buzzing around once the showcase ended.

With how many genre barriers both BTS and Big Hit has broken in the global music industry, TXT's first moments with the media were undoubtedly K-pop. Members Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai approached the stage individually, introducing themselves by posing for photos and sharing their own unique pose -- with youngest members Taehyun and Hueningkai delivering overly adorable poses. Each member had his own tagline as Beomgyu was introduced as "the life of the party" and emphasized that he can speak in the local accent of Daegu (a fun thing for stars to share during variety show appearances on Korean TV), Soobin emphasized his ability to be supportive to his fellow members, and Hueningkai shared how "his charm is cuteness." With a nervous-but-excited energy, each member spoke with gusto, making sure to introduce themselves individually every time he spoke, thank each reporter upon every single question, and bow several times throughout the showcase.

"They look tense," the MC for the event told reporters. "But you can see their passion. They may be nervous, but please encourage them. I met them a little before the event and I could see they're a little nervous about whether they'd be able to put on a good performance."

But despite how nervous and formal TXT treated the event, their passion was on display at all moments when cameras were and weren't on them. While Soobin was delivering one last pose for photographers, Taehyun happily danced to the group's "Crown" single off to the side of the stage as it played in the background. Taehyun and his band mates would all get the chance to dance for the crowd with the first public performance of "Crown" showing off the playful and athletic choreography that included intricate formations and lifts.

During the Q&A portion of the conference, Tomorrow X Together expanded on overall themes of their group including the team name's meaning (Yeonjun said "Tomorrow X Together means you and I have come together in pursuit of one dream"), the story behind their EP's title The Dream Chapter: Star ("When you are young in adolescence, you feel like you can't do things but when you meet other people you can," explained Soobin, adding "this is a story about meeting new people") and name of their debut single ("I'm sure everyone was confused, but it's about growing pains in adolescence," Taehyun said in reference of the single's Korean title which essentially translates to "The Day Horns Grew Out of My Head").

During the reporter Q&As, TXT expanded on several lurking questions including their connection to older brother group BTS. "We really look up to them," Yeonjun explained when asked how they reacted to their seniors sharing encouraging words to the media on TXT's debut. "They work around the world, so we can't meet them very often. We saw on TV what they said, we were doing a recording, and we were watching the red carpet and [we saw that]. It's a global stage when they speak, we were obviously very moved."

Soobin further talked about how TXT first becoming known as BTS' younger brother band. "That title, or what people say about us, I think it's an honor to be the little brothers of BTS," he said. "I don't think we're deserving to be the younger brother of BTS...we'll work harder." Meanwhile, Hueningkai recognized that the initial struggle BTS had in their early years inspires this new group. "Obviously, we were able to witness the great things from our older brother BTS," the 16-year-old shared. "They struggled at the beginning and that really inspires us."

TXT also spoke about a noted difference between themselves and BTS as the five members were not involved in the writing or production of their first EP, a trait that BTS has maintained since their debut. "Unfortunately, we were not able to participate directly with the lyrics," Beomgyu explained, before adding that Yeonjun did create the group's signature pose. Still, the boys shared that songs like "Cat & Dog" showcase their personal love of hip-hop, specifically mumble rap, and that Beomgyu and Hueningkai were working on their own music very hard and that when they are "more proficient" they would like to participate in the writing and production process.

The group spotlighted how the overall message of The Dream Chapter: Star relates to their personal experiences. Beomgyu said, "When I became a part the company [Big Hit] and met the members, I was able to deal with a lot of things that were bothering me and that helped me overcome my growing pains" as Taehyun shared how "we all connected music as adolescents."

When it came to advice from their seniors, TXT explained both BTS and Big Hit Entertainment CEO 'Hitman' Bang shared key words of wisdom. "Mr. Bang told us that practice is how you build your confidence," Soobin said. "[He told us], 'If you practice hard, you'll figure out why practice is so important.'" The BTS boys further emphasized practice as Soobin added, that "they told us they also practiced very hard for their stages and their performances" helping both the band and their company become renowned for their live shows. Hueningkai commented "They also emphasized teamwork -- always think about the value and importance of the team," a sentiment echoed by Beomgyu later in the conference when he said BTS told them how "we are team, we're always watching you, we're always encouraging you."

But among the nerves and the excitement in the room, Tomorrow X Together's biggest takeaway seemed to be wanting to spend their hour with the media by showing their gratitude and ambition.

"The fact that we're here with our debut is amazing and we're really thankful that we've had this great reaction," Taehyun reflected. Tell us about your BB MC 😋

Thanks for the ask! You have no idea how much I wanted someone to ask about her (she's my favorite canon version and with all of my add ons). For those who don't know, my Bloodbound MC is Isabel Martinez.

How tall are they?

I'm going off of my face claim, Eiza González (I know everyone uses her for Priya but I really love her for Isabel and this MC face) who is 5'8". It definitely helps when she wants to look intimidating, esp when she wears high heels.

How do they tend to dress?

Her style is very classy chic with light and pastel colors and some neutrals as well.

Do they like how they look?

As a child she used to be very insecure about her height because she's always been taller than a lot of the girls but she eventually learned to embrace it and use it as a strength. Also she has some left over general insecurities from when she was with Derek (her horrible ex) who put her down a lot and made her feel super unconfident about herself including her appearance. But over the past year since leaving him she's worked really hard to regain that confidence and now she's really starting to love herself and realize her worth.

Are they an only child or do they have siblings?

Isabel has one actual sibling, Gabriel who's three years younger than she is and is at culinary school in Texas. She is also related to my TRR MC Delilah who is three years older. They're biologically cousins on her dad's side but consider each other sisters because Delilah's parents died after getting hit by a drunk driver when she was 10 and Isabel's parents assumed custody. So, Delilah is really attached to all of them but is really close with Isabel who helped her out the most in dealing with the deaths of her parents.

Are they a morning person or a night owl?

Isabel is a night owl for sure. It's a good thing she loves coffee because she needs it after waking up. This allowed her to adjust to Adrian's schedule and become somewhat nocturnal without much difficulty.

Are they a cat person or a dog person?

Both! She honestly can't pick one or the other. Because she grew up on a farm, she had two dogs, two indoor cats, three barn cats, a horse, and a bunch of livestock animals. It was practically a zoo. When she saves enough money and gets a big enough place, she wants to adopt one of each because she misses having them around now that she's in New York.

Got any favorite foods?

She's a major foodie in general so she enjoys most types but she especially likes southern and Mexican food because they're from a side of her family and she's grown up with it. She really enjoys anything fried, seafood, and garlic which is an obvious problem sometimes with Adrian. She's definitely had to cut back on how much she consumes. But, it also becomes her way of punishment whenever she's mad at him and she'll just eat so much garlic so that he can't get super close to her until whatever she's peeved about is resolved.

How about favorite drinks?

For the alcoholic kind she likes a lot of different things but her favorites are wine (every type depending on what she's eating and mood) and whiskey for when she wants something stronger. Her non-alcoholic favorites are Coca-Cola and super sweet lemonade.

What are their favorite movies/tv shows?

For movies she tends to like historical ones (history nerd), good adaptations of books, musicals, and certain action flicks. Her faves include the Night at the Museum series, To Kill a Mockingbird, Indiana Jones, the Post, and The Darkest Hour. She is kind of a movie buff but isn't obsessed.

For tv shows her favorites include a lot of vampire/supernatural ones such as Shadowhunters, Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and Grimm. She also loves a couple crime and procedural shows like Criminal Minds and Sherlock.

Do they have any hidden talents?

She does have some. She used to do Track and Field in high school and she also competed in dance and she still has a lot of moves from it. She can also sing pretty well which is why she loves kareoke so much. She also can play the piano pretty decently since she took lessons from elementary school all the way through to 12th grade (something Adrian finds out in an upcoming fic).

Do they believe in love at first sight?

While she's pretty optimistic and idealistic with her head in the clouds, she doesn't necessarily believe this. She can know that someone is her type and can develop crushes and feelings at first sight but that true love takes at least some time. It comes pretty quickly for her but not as soon as she meets someone. She needs to get to know someone first.

Who is their love interest?

Adrian if you couldn't tell by the times I've mentioned him above. Because she's such a history lover and intellectual she was immediately drawn to his love for that as well. She also believes that despite what Gaius has said about him and his actions at the club, etc that while he does have a layer of darkness that he can overcome it and that deep down he's ultimately a good person.

She also has a lot of platonic love for the others and she's becoming super close to all of them.

What are they afraid of?

She isn't really afraid of many things, especially after everything with Derek and becoming involved with the vampires. She's discovered a new, courageous side of her and has done things she never thought she would. But, she is afraid of failure and letting people down which is a lingering side affect of being with Derek that she'll probably always have with her. It's part of what makes her such a workaholic and perfectionist.

What are their guilty pleasures?

Again, the garlic can kind of count for this because she feels bad when she eats a lot of it around her vampire friends (unless she's mad). Also, sour candy especially sour gummy worms bc they're really unhealthy but she's addicted to them.

What was their dream job as a kid? Is it still their dream?

At first in elementary and middle school her dream job was President of the US and/or politician bc even then she was a low-key feminist and wanted to break glass ceilings. Then, in high school is when she first wanted to a career in business and to become a CEO or top executive. She loved the idea of getting to brainstorm and help run a company and make it better.

Have they ever broken a bone?

Quite a few times. As a kid she was pretty reckless and adventurous which led to injury prone hobbies. She's broken each arm and her nose twice, as well as her collarbone and leg once. And she's sprained her ankle and received a lot of bruises, cuts and black eyes.

Seriously, she found herself in the ER so many times, her parents still hang it over her head.

Have they ever broken the law?

The actual law, only for minor offenses like speeding tickets and one underage party where she found herself detained until her parents could come get her. In school, she had a huge phase when she was younger where she would get into fights to defend Gabe who got teased a lot or when boys said she couldn't do something bc she was a girl.

Even after she grew out of it by the time high school rolled around she wouldn't hesitate to intervene and verbally tell them off when he first came out and some students would call him horrible things. She scared them so much that eventually she went with Gabe everywhere and they didn't dare touch him.

Three random facts:

She's been managing things since high school when she ran a Taco stand with her brother Gabe where she took care of the logistics and sales while he made the food and it was really successful. Looking back it's still one of her favorite memories from her childhood.

She really loves reading classic literature especially Shakespeare. Her favorite works of his include Macbeth, Julius Caesar, and Richard III.

She also has a huge musical theatre obsession after going to watch all of the ones Gabe and Delilah were in. Her favorite thing to do since moving to New York is going to see the shows on Broadway. She tries to save up so that she can attend at least two each year.

As the heavy sleeper in the relationship, it will take him a while to notice that you’re having trouble falling asleep and staying asleep, but once he does, he turns into the most tender and caring boyfriend one could ask for.

Starts saving money just so he can take you to spa resorts and other places that you love visiting, hoping that would help you relax and possibly sleep better. You try to protest, because this money can easily be spent on something else that you two need, like new furniture, bills, or rent, but he is having none of it.

“Babe, you’re way more important, okay? I don’t care about money. I care about you.”

Stays awake with you, cuddling you and singing you lullabies and love songs that make you melt into a puddle of happiness and embarrassment, before you eventually fall asleep.

If nothing else helps, he’ll suggest doing physical activities that require unleashing the wolf within him. After all, there’s nothing quite like sweating the stress off.

Having played LOLOL for a long time, he’s also struggling to get his sleeping schedule back in track, so he suggests that you two deal with your shared problem as a team.

Prepare for some quality bonding time over not being able to sleep well! Hooray!

As hard as it is for both of you, you try to make it a point not to use phones and computers or watch TV at least half an hour before going to bed.

Of course, that doesn’t always work, so he’s made sure all your electronic devices have apps that filter blue light.

You’ve made a habit of simply lying next to each other and talking about your plans for the future or what you had for breakfast. It’s something that not only helps calm both of you down, but also strengthens your relationship.

There was a time in her life when she pondered existential questions such as “What is sleep?” and “Do I really need it?”, but fortunately, she’s figured it all out now.

She’s missed out on sweet dreams too many times, so she naturally wants to make sure you don’t go through the same thing or if that’s inevitable, that she helps you find ways to control it.

Encourages you to limit your caffeine intake, even though it means she might end up drinking her morning coffee on her own. A sign of true love.

Instead, she buys all types of tea she knows can help a person relax. Now the air in the kitchen is heavy not only with the strong smell of coffee, but also with the pleasant mix of lavender, chamomile, and spearmint.

Introduces relaxation techniques in your life. Meditation and yoga are her first suggestions, but if you’re not up for it, she’s not shy to suggest counting sheep. The classics have stood the test of time for a reason.

Goes out of her way to show more physical affection to you before falling asleep, hoping the meaning behind her actions won’t be lost on you.

The support of a partner when you’re dealing with such a problem can make all the difference in the world and Jumin is well aware of that.

Changes your pillow and the mattress in your bedroom every day and observes your sleeping patterns until he notices a change for the better in them. He’ll spare no expense in making your snooze time comfortable.

Enjoys reading you a book before going to bed. Always makes sure to choose ones that aren’t too action- or horror-oriented, since they might have the opposite of the desired effect on you.

Spends more time than usual on cuddling you, caressing your face, tracing your jawline with his lips, and stroking your hair. Affection and care go a long way toward calming you down.

Initiates sex more often. It’s scientifically proven orgasms help you relax and fall asleep easier and who is he to defy the power of science?

If nothing seems to be working, he’ll suggest that you see a therapist and will find the best specialist in the field to help you should you take him up on his offer. Of course, he postpones his meetings just so he can be right next to you if or when you need him.

Oh, he knows. He knows the pain and frustration that come with having an irregular sleeping schedule or not being able to fall or stay asleep. And naturally, he doesn’t want his precious 606 to go through the same.

Every day he sets aside at least half an hour for nap time with you. Of course, it’s not just napping. It’s cuddling, smooches, tangled legs, and tight hugs with him. Sometimes he bites, the cute kitty he is.

He’s observant and his ways of helping you deal with your problems are often unconventional. So when he announces during breakfast that from now on you two will set aside fifteen minutes every day to de-stress, you’re not surprised at all. De-stressing includes screaming your worries away, punching beanbags, and crying in each other’s arms.

Makes his own app with relaxing sounds. Most of them are cats meowing and purring since it helps him fall asleep, but the app also includes sounds that soothe your mind easily. How he managed to find that out about you through mere observation is beyond you.

App aside, he can and he will purr while snuggling close to you on the bed. He’s so adorable with his hands curled up like a cat’s paws that you can pass out from sheer endearment.

He’s used to staying up late and not getting much sleep. Artists are often struck by waves of inspiration at the most unlikely times, so he has no choice.

Thanks to you, though, he wants to change that. You’re the most important person in his life, his love and muse, so he wants you to feel good and kicking, turning, and sighing out of frustration while staring at the ceiling for hours doesn’t seem like things you’d do if you were doing okay.

Makes sure your bedroom is cool and dark so as to help you fall asleep easily. If that doesn’t work for you, he’ll make adjustments until you find the perfect bed environment for you.

Often prepares a hot bath to help you relax your muscles and melt the stress away before bed.
