UGHHH I HATE BEING RIGHT!

I mean I loved being right about Qimir but NOOO JECKI WHY!!!????

I was so anxious about her I thought she might die but I had almost convinced myself I was wrong and she would be fine but then...

And Yord completely blindsided me, I really didn't think they would kill both of them in one episode. I liked Yord, not as much as Jecki but still.

Of course I ran directly to the waiting arms of Ao3 where there is already one fix-it fic and I expect there will be more soon.

I might have to write something myself...

thinking of rereading the entirety of HoME again. for my health

every dishonored game (with the exception of DotO) ends with the Outsider narrating what came after, when the story came to a close, and it does give the game the quality of one - a story recounted to you, in detail, by a master storyteller that explains what came after, what fate the characters you grew to love in the tale met, before it all fades to nothing. and it conjures ideas of human Outsider relaying strange stories like this to others, those of the plague and of the coup, tales of the Knife of Dunwall, or the tales of the witch-Empress before she became an Empress at all. maybe even presents the idea of the third game being, at the end of it all, a retelling of what human Outsider lived through, but now he is a little older, a little less otherworldly.

Watching people freak out over the Percy Jackson tv show and talk about what they liked/didn't like and what the writers kept and left out of the show is really giving me perspective on what a rabid and insane Wingfeather Saga fan I am because they sound like me whenever I start talking about it. All of them. The good, the bad and the ugly, I am all of these reactions and more. I am insane, totally obsessed, hyperfixated, and overly paranoid. Possibly deranged.

On the other hand, listening to all these people rant and rave (in good and bad ways) about the show is making me feel much more normal about my Wingfeather obsession. xD

I started reading Powerless by Lauren Roberts last night. I could not get through even 30% of the book.

The ML - Kai - is plain and boring. He's a tortured murderer. But he flirts. That's it.

I could not read anymore when I got to the scene where's he's helping Pae punch. Trying to teach her after saying that she's usually so good at it and now she must be bothered about something and tired if she's doing it badly. ????

Why are y'all constantly touching each other if you hate each other?? This is not enemies to lovers. This is immediately falling in love and pretending not to.

It is so hunger games with no explanation about half the plot. The book reads like fanfiction. Half the tropes are stolen from other books. This is fanfiction. Just name it that and leave it be. The grammar is questionable. Adane is used for the plot after being oh so important to Pae.

I had to go read bad reviews to make myself feel better and I'm glad I stopped because it gets worse. No thank you.

One of my favorite things in the LOTR books is Sam being obsessed with Elven magic and wanting to see it and when Galadriel finds out she basically tells Sam "I don't know what the fuck magic is but I can show you the future in this bowl of water if you want" as if that's just a normal ass thing to be able to do.
