so for one, theyre different from the rest of the glamrocks bc theyre literally just repurposed animatronics from a sister location (not that one) that they just slapped a bit of new paint and some new mechanical bits into and called it a day

and because of that sunnie's constantly having thoughts that he's not as good as the others, he's got p much all the same upgrades hes literally just an older model so hes got that Insecurity about being outdated

obv he has no emotional regulation so this manifests as him being a perfectionist and honestly just an Asshole to his band mates at first

eventually snatch gets sick of him taking his shit out on him and they have a Not So Friendly altercation abt it and sunnie is just- "holy shit? i was being such a piece of garbage?"

ofc i love suffering and symbolism so most of this realization comes from snatch smashing his vanity mirror (hehe) and destroying most of his makeup

when he sees his fucked up broken reflection he kinda Freaks Out internally bc he realizes he's kinda sucks? and hes just trying to cover for it rather than face it bc its easier for him

obviously they hash it out and apologize to each other and then they Kiss and Make Up (bc fuck i love enemies/rivals to lovers)

sunnie starts to legitimately try to better himself, learning that y'know, you can be insecure and not internalize it and you can just Talk To Your Friends and 99% of the time it'll reassure him that he's not ugly or inferior

i personally hc monty as being Touched by the 'Tism and he and sunnie get closer by openly stimming together and bonding over their shared love for stuffed animals and soft blanket forts (they were dating before but sunnie was p off putting so they take a break, only rlly getting back together once sunnie betters himself)

my girlfriend and i tailgate, drink gin and cider out of cups. from the frat group beside us, a man corrects himself with one of his friends: bro, i mean, nonbinary entity, and it makes everyone around him laugh, myself included. he razzes his friend the same way i would have killed for at 19 years old - like nothing happened, he continues: you apply sunscreen like an alien. he does a little sassy (and fairly accurate) dance interpretation of the motion. his friend is laughing so hard they're crying.

i am lucky, i live in a safe neighborhood in a safe state. my masc passenger princess comes up from DC. i drive her for an hour to where all the leaves are a violent arrangement of color. we walk along the trails, letting autumn into our blood. in this part of the state, there's a lot of pickup trucks and trump signs. when we chastely kiss before getting into the car, i accidentally make eye contact with a woman holding her child's wrist. she looks disgusted. she looks fucking pissed.

two hours later my girl and i are eating dinner on a patio, soaking in the last warmth of new england sun before the chill of winter sets in. we are giggling and trying to talk through plastic vampire teeth. at another table, i see a young woman sit up straighter. i watch her watch us. she blushes and takes her partner's hand from across the table. shy, like the taste of evening has just become something deeper.

it's worth it for this moment, i think. my lover is still humming the same song she's been singing for four days straight and i don't want to kill her for it. her guitar is beside my bed. her toothbrush is in my bathroom. in a few moments i will make us lunch. we are lucky enough to have found each other. it is lucky enough to be in love.

no offence but the reason tumblr is “dying” is, well, yes, of course the cursed like/reblog ratio and the change in user behaviour (because of people being used to how instagram and tiktok work) BUT also the lack of weekly shows. i say it with my whole chest, they don't produce captivating and engaging stupid weekly tv shows anymore because streaming killed that so you have spikes of activity here when Something happens in general fandom or up to three days after a new season of whatever drops and then it's a wasteland. this is obviously an old woman yelling at a cloud missing supernatural and the vampire diaries and pretty little liars and all these other shows type of post but honestly give me back weekly tv shows where i have something to watch for 40 minutes almost every day of the week after work so then i can read and reblog it on tumblr give it back for the sake of my sanity

Chappell Roan, a lesbian, went on a national broadcast tonight and performed a song about dating a closeted woman who refuses to acknowledge their relationship and denies the fact that she’s a lesbian. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that happening but here we are and it’s amazing.

As a lesbian woman, to have an artist go out and be so entirely herself in every way, to be so proud of her own sexuality and to perform a song like this and have it be broadcasted to millions of people…it makes me so emotional. All I have ever wanted as a queer woman is to have this sort of unabashed representation and we’re finally getting it in such an incredible way. What an era we are living in and all I can say is long may it continue and I am so proud to be a Chappell Roan fan.
