honestly one of the main reasons I like dc is that they can’t keep a storyline straight for shit. anything I don’t like is just *not real*. that’s different storyline babes what are you talking about???
like at this point I can consider shit like wfa and hell even well written fanfics as canon bc who knows what’s going on with those funky little people?? certainly not the dc writers

you mentioned the arrows stealing tim from the bats and i just had the hilarious idea of that + jaytim
poor oliver would lose his mind bc he goes and saves tim from the bats and then tim brings one of them home
put it back tim you don't know where that's been
i'm CRYING this is so funny. it's even funnier given what Jason did to Mia. like of all the morally questionable mob bosses Tim could've dragged home, he had to pick *that one*? Oliver is trying to be supportive of Tim and give Tim more agency than Bruce gave him, bc Oliver worked *hard* to steal this one and he's not going to lose all of the progress he made. and it does seem like Tim's doing *somewhat* of a decent job of making Jason less murdery. and Jason agrees to the rule he'll keep out of the Star City scene, but Gotham's still his fair game. and honestly, that makes Oliver like him just a *little bit* because if he's going to make Bruce's life more difficult, maybe Jason is alright.
it also does *not* help that when Oliver goes to Roy for support bc Roy agrees that Jason is untrustworthy as hell. but Roy is *also* the guy who had a daughter with Chesire, so the best he can do is give Oliver a shrug.
also think it's fun if Tim is sort of tense, expecting Oliver to put his foot down and tell Tim no. like he's not used to a vigilante parental figure who's actually good at the parent part, so it's weird having this level of freedom, esp when he knows Oliver does disapprove. but Oliver lets Tim figure out hs own love life and make his own mistakes, even if he's ranting to Dinah about Jason until two in the morning. it doesn't help that Jason makes no move to try to get along with Oliver. he's just a shit to be a shit. at this point Tim is pretty sure Jason enjoys driving Oliver up a wall more than he enjoys dating Tim. who's to say if it's true.

It's always about the Batfamily, or the Superfamily adopting Billy or Diana
BUT WHAT ABOUT BARRY? HAL?? WHAT ABOUT EVEN OLIVER OR ARTHUR?
we need to think outside the box people!
Okay, delving into it (LEAP)
So, Billy is just more put together than them, canonically when he isn’t straight up homeless he has his own job and apartment. Realistically with Hal, downgrade, with Barry idk bc I keep getting him and Wally mixed up so I don’t feel confident commenting there
For the vibes and fun?
Ollie and Dinah (package deal to me) rolling up with Billy makes me very happy. Ollie and Billy could talk for hours (read; days) on saying screw authority and Dinah letting Billy tag along for one of her gigs as a singer during which Billy flexes his guitar skills (canon thing) and delights one night at getting to play with his new mom. He absolutely does a crowd surf if they’re hyped enough, it’s the best night of his life.
Also, I headcanon Billy as doing a lot of really thoughtful magic gifts so he gets Dinah some fancy tea sirens or other vocal magical creatures use to help with their throats to help with hers cause of the strain her powers can cause, so Billy is just really sweet to her like that too.
Arthur speaks up about wanting to adopt his coworker and Billy’s like “I can’t breathe underwater tho…” so Arthur and Diana commission another set of Water Breathing jewelry from Hephaestus (Diana has a pair of earring for underwater visits) so Billy gets a sweet pair of earrings and undergoes a quick skin treatment to not constantly prune up in his new home. He’s gets along great with his new royal family, learns a lot of Atlantian magic because look me in the eyes and tell me this kid isn’t another weird “I love magical worlds” nerd who absorbs every magic he can get his hands on as Champion, loves every creature he comes across, and delights at having two parents again! Plus Tawny joins by turning into a catfish or something similarly appropriate bc shapeshifter Tawny agenda must be upheld.

What would the canon batfam (or your version of the batfam, since the canon version is… questionable, at times) would think of Fae Dick?
Just imagine someone from the fae world, probably Tim, ends up in a world where Dick is human, and either 1) does not immediately realize that this Dick is human bc every version of Dick Grayson is at least a little unhinged, or 2) takes one long look at him and is like ‘wait you’re HUMAN?’
(Also, Jason learning that Fae Dick killed the Joker/or Fae Dick murdering the joker of the other world bc if other him wouldn’t do it, he sure as hell will)
Honestly if it’s Tim I’d give him exactly one convo to clock canon!Dick as human. There’s just this distinct lack of—- something, about this version of him. Yeah, he’s still his exuberant and uplifting self but??? Where are all the teeth??? (“Excuse me, what?”) And what happened to your feathers?????? (“My what now??”) And why are your eyes so weird?????? (“Excuse you, my eyes are perfectly alright!”)
And of course, there’s the distinct lack of plant- and wildlife in the manor. The doors don’t open and close on their own to let the family members pass, the deer Tim sees on the outskirts of the manor grounds all look depressingly normal and shy away from them, and the trees don’t try to trip him up in a bout of mischief. And, worst of all? Tim now can’t just go through any door in the manor and have it bring him directly to his intended destination. He accidentally walks into a closet many times and just— stands there, in the dark, for several minutes before he realizes that, nope, this really is just a closet and will not magically open up into the kitchens. Damn it.
The canon batfamily all think that Tim is a tragically deranged alternate universe version of their Tim and all discreetly try to “play along” with his delusions (even though canon!dick is totally weirded out about the random tidbits of information Tim drops on them). Not to mention that they’re all very concerned about the mentions of Dick having people eaten by deer and stuff. Or collecting teeth.
All that gets resolved rather quickly tho when Fae!Dick barges into this universe to retrieve his Tim and pops by with his usual many-toothed smile and the Joker’s severed head hanging from one hand, chirping a happy little “you’re welcome!” At Jason, and then promptly hugging the living daylights out of his Tim.
Tim just grins happily and says “teeth!” Very emphatically.
(Jason totally doesn’t cry that another version of his big bro just showed up and killed the Joker for him, nope, not at all.)
(“Timmy, can we-“
“Absolutely not!”
“But he’s sad” :((
“He’s HAPPY, dumbass. You killed the joker for him.”
“Exactly! Other Dick didn’t do it, I did! That means he’s mine now!”
“Dick- NO-“
“Dick, yes!” :)))) )

7 and 15 please
asks
7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?
answered here but i thought of another one xoxo <3 honestly bernard (tim's bf). i have complicated feelings about this bc he used to have an actual personality like 20 years ago but he No Longer Does. and it kinda bothers me when people talk about timber and insist that what theyre saying about them is canon when really . all interactions between them ever since bernard came back have made bernard seem like he has the personality of a piece of cardboard. and ive seen so many timber fans calling the people who point out that bernard has no personality homophobic when its honestly just true. ever since he came back he has basically been reduced to The Boyfriend, which i honestly dont think is necessarily a bad thing just bc hes kinda barely a real character and rn is really only there to be tim's boyfriend so storytelling-wise i dont have an issue with him being bland, but it annoys me when people insist hes not actually bland despite the fact that he doesnt do anything. you can have headcanons and write fanfics with his 90s characterization all you want but that doesnt change the fact that ever since he became tim's boyfriend he basically became a cardboard cutout
15. that one thing you see in fanart all the time
answered here but i have more. it is so blatant that poc characters get excluded from fanart Constantly. there is so much batfamily art that says its the Whole Family but cass and duke (ESPECIALLY duke) arent there. or 90s young justice art that doesnt have anita. or "batboys" art without damian. if you claim to be a fan of a group of characters why are all the non white characters mysteriously missing from your art. answer quickly

“Judging by how the sales of comicbooks dropped from post reboot onwards” does this refer to N52 or Rebirth or the former but keeps declining even with the latter? I’m curious bcs 👀 like, well, it should be obvious the reason why but ig it’s true that many execs/marketing team in that huge kind of company do not have the biggest brain 🤷🏽‍♂️
I don't actually have official sources on hand, sorry about that! I remember reading an interview with Dan DiDio saying that in the past 10 years or so "they lost an entire generation of readers", which leads me to assume there has been a consistent drop in comicbook sales after Flash Point Paradox -ish. Not sure if precisely with Rebirth of N52. Which doesn't surprise me given that they butchered entire decades of worldbuilding, character building and established dynamics for a half assed parody of what they had before.
To expand a little on that. When the reboot happened, despite being hella pissed, lots of fans (me included) thought it was a way to set in stone some key events of what we can call the "main comicbook continuity" because a lot of things concerning New Earth (which is the "main continuity" going from the early '80s to 2010ish) made absolutely no sense, temporally and logically and what have you. For example, when exactly Dick had worn the Batman mantle. Or, that bullshit with Joker being ambassador of Iran. Or the ages of the characters, when they started wearing their mantles etc. Nothing of this happened. Instead they got rid of a number of characters that they didn't really want in their stories anymore (like Cass and Steph who literally disappeared despite having had successful and beloved runs as Batgirls), and they cherrypicked what to keep as canon (Joker shot Barbara and rendered her paralyzed BUT she can walk thanks to an implant, so she's Batgirl now and also she looks and acts as if she was 20 despite she should be in her late 30s. It's unclear if everything she did as Oracle and with the Birds of Prey happened or not).
As you can imagine, that didn't sit well with a lot of pre-existing fans, but also made it extremely confusing for new fans. Things make even less sense than before and it's even more intimidating to approach the comics since to understand a shred of what's happening you should read 30+ volumes of the New Earth continuity AND ALSO everything that happened post reboot and probably you still would have zero idea tf is going on. I don't most of the time to be honest.
This is also why people tend to be weirdly attached to stuff that happened in one single comic even if it was never brought up again, imo. For example Dick, Cass, Jason and Tim having been legally adopted by Bruce. I don't believe there is one single mention of that in any comic except the one comic where it happens - kinda like the writer who wrote it wanted it to be like this, but then the one who came after them pretended it never happened, and nobody brought it up again. So is that canon? It surely was at some point but how about now, is Dick "legally a Wayne"? As far as I know the answer is no, but again, nothing makes sense so people keep on cherrypicking what they like about canon.
Sorry I went on a tangent but yeah they made a mess. Toss in the mix the fact that many of the writers that handled these characters post reboot really hated them (and to this day I cannot understand for the love of me WHY they gave them to writers that hated them. Just see what happened with the whole disgrace that was the Ric Grayson situation), and you have barely readable storylines that contradict previous canon, make no sense and are boring and uninspired as fuck, trying to bank on cheap tricks like "let's pretend these people love each other and are a big happy family because that's what the public wants to read, right?? The Batfamily sells!". That's the extent of their effort to make a story good.

Okay, I’m now imagining that it works a bit like possession or DID. Until Damian is powerful enough to live in his own body (which will likely take a year, according to Frostbite), Damian (who I’m gonna say is currently 14) needs to live in Danny’s body.
The batfam, meanwhile, is panicking bc Dami’s missing.
So imagine the chaos when Danny lets Damian be in charge when they go to his home and Damian just shows up in Danny’s body like “Hello family, it is me, Damian.” They’d be so freaked out lmao.
Danny also has a life (I’m thinking college or some shit?) so during the day Danny is in charge and does classes and homework and at night Damian is in charge and gets to spend time with his family. (I’m also thinking the two can communicate mentally and watch what the other does but only the person in charge can give control to the other one, they can’t forcibly take charge.) Damian doesn’t need to go to school anyway, he’s canonically way ahead of his peers, so they tell people he’s taking a long vacation to go backpacking with his mom bc she missed him and wanted some quality time together. (Jon Kent knows though so the besties still get to hang out don’t worry.)
He’s not used to Danny’s body and not cleared for Robin duty yet, so he’s still manning comms when one night, an all-hands-on-deck situation happens. Danny, who’s been mostly silent besides the snarky commentary that Damian secretly enjoys, pipes up and says “let me take charge.”
“Danny, it’s an Arkham breakout of literally every single rogue and there’s a Justice League off world mission so Batman is busy. This is not the time for you to be in charge. I must help my family.”
“I can help. Let me do this. I promise it’ll be okay.”
“Danny, you cannot help-“
“If Danny says he can help, let him try,” Alfred chimes in from behind Damian. “He is an interdimensional entity, yes? I would bet that he has at least some powers or combat capability.”
“I have both,” Danny chimed in. “I’ve fought gods, I can handle a clown and a scarecrow. Hell, I bet fear toxin isn’t even close to the level of the Nightmare Dimension” [that’s what fright knight’s thing called right? -b] “so I should be fine. Trust me.”
And Damian does.
And Danny proceeds to clean up the Arkham breakout in about half an hour. He grabs every single rogue and just carts them back to Arkham, making them and himself intangible so they can’t hurt anyone. The batfamily just cleans up the goons.
Danny gets a spot on patrol after that, and starts teaching Damian how to use their shared body’s powers in case he needs them. When Damian eventually gets his own body back, he’s very adept at using his new abilities from the get go because he’s already used Danny’s so much.
The JL recruits Danny the second he and Damian are separate. Considering it means he gets to work in space, Danny is cool with it. Plus it means he can still visit the batfamily, who he now is considered a member of. (He’s got honorary status like Steph but only bc his parents are still alive. The second they die that boy is getting speed-adopted.)
de aged core Damian
The league of assassins is approached by a ghost or ancient being deciding to wreak havoc. They give them some sort of immortality key or power boost.
they do not know if they are able to trust this being so they decide to try it out on someone else.
They use Damien who is living with his father at this point. They kidnap him and inject him with a lot of the power( natural ectoplasm) that is being given to them.  already liminal Damien who grew up around the Lazarus pit and depending on Canon might even have used it, is Kickstarted to get halfa powers.
Everything that's going on ends up with him reverting to a core state. the League of Assassins, not realizing what this is, are a little bit concerned that they may have duped them; they try to summon a high powerful being from whatever the dimension it's from which is the ghost Zone.
They end up getting Danny.
Danny recognizes Damian's being reverted into a core state and panics, making a deal to take it. He takes Damien to frostbite who basically tells him that he's a baby halfa and if he wants the person to live or at least half live he needs to have a host body. Danny, thinking of all the halfa an existence realizes the only real person who can do that is him.

About Me
I've had this blog for about two years and only just realized I never like actually introduced myself.
So hi! I go by Issy or Iutb and use any/all pronouns!
I've been posting fanfiction to Ao3 for over four years, though I like to think I'm a better writer now than I was back in high school. I draw on occasion, and I've been trying lately to get into oil painting and watercolor. I like to listen to music (folk, rock, and classical) and play minecraft (I've logged 60+hours just in the last two weeks).
(my fandoms and ships under the Read More)
My Fandoms:
Avatar: The Last Airbender - This is the show that got me into writing, but I'm not as active in it anymore. Zuko is both my sweet baby girl and also my favorite punching bag.
Harry Potter - !!Obligatory Disclaimer!! I do not support JKR or any of the things she says! When I write these characters, they are all some flavor of Queer!
Special Mention: The Marauders fandom
My Hero Academia - To be honest, I got so deep into this fandom that my versions of the characters are no longer connected to canon like at all.
Supernatural - I don't write for spn, but this show has held me in a chokehold for years at this point, so it deserves a place in this list.
Marvel - I do not like any of the recent Marvel movies but I am a big fan of Spider-man and Iron Man, so I've written several things about them (but not posted bc they're just snippets).
Percy Jackson - I have never read or watched pjo, but i somehow got sucked into the fandom. I do not know how this happened.
Danny Phantom - Again, I have never watched dp. I have become obsessed with through Tumblr and fanfic though.
DC - The Batfam and general Justice League chaos. End of sentence.
Aphmau - I say this regretfully, but my elementary school obsession has come back to haunt me. This is the fandom that got me into fanfiction at the ripe old age of 9. I prefer Minecraft Diaries to Mystreet, and my pension for dramatic, high magic worldbuilding will be the death of me trying to fill the plot holes in that Irene forsaken series.
My Favourite Tropes and Ships:
Time Travel Fix-it
Emotional Hurt/Comfort
Reconciliation
Found Family
Everyone lives/nobody dies
Reaction fics
HP - Harry has a million something titles, Slytherin Harry, focus on Wizengamot and politics, anything with the goblins, Harry raised by others, Draco/Harry, Theo/Harry, Blaise/Harry, Hermione/Harry, Neville/Hannah
Marauders - Canon Divergence (you will never catch me adhering to canon), one of them stealing Harry away from the Dursleys, Black brothers angst, Black sisters angst, James/Regulus/Lily, Remus/Sirius, Remus/Severus, Barty/Evan
MHA - Vigilante AU, Quirkless Izuku, unconventional friendships, Izuku/Kirishima, Todoroki/Bakugou, Todoroki/Sero, Sero/Iida, Izuku/Monoma, Izuku/Shinsou, Uraraka/Toga, Aizawa/Mic/Shirakumo, Dabi/Hawks, Shigaraki/Natsuo
SPN - Cas lives (non-negotiable), finale does not happen, witch Sam/doesn't lose demonic powers, Dean/Cas, Sam/Eileen, Sam/Rowena
ATLA - Zuko is the avatar, zuko joins the gaang early, gaang finds out about zuko's scar, early zuko redemption (can you find the common theme here), Zuko/Sokka, Aang/Katara, Katara/Yue, Ty Lee/Mai/Azula
DC - Justice leagues meets the batfamily, batfam angst, Titans Tower AU, crossover with Danny Phantom, Marvel, or White Collar, focus on Jason or Dick, Dick/Wally, Jason/Roy, Tim/Kon/Bernard, Cass/Steph, Bruce/Selina, Bruce/Clark
Marvel - Peter's field trip to SI, Irondad, functional avengers, Loki redemption, Team Iron Man, Tony/Pepper, Tony/Loki, Peter/MJ, Peter/Ned, Peter/Harley
Aphmau - MCD rewrites, religious trauma, Aphmau/Laurence/Garroth, Aphmau/Zoey, Dante/Nana/Nicole, Zane/Nana (MYS)

Not to be a conspiracy theorist but.... the artist who made these concept arts said this when asked about Tim...... could it be that his and Duke's haven't been posted yet due to containing a surprise character. A boy who Tim is dating, perhaps

guess fucking what? my inbox is so fucking full right now i'm unloading all of this shit in one post.
For the 11th gotham memes: gothamites react to bruce being jacked in a tiktok he made with kids, like super yoked, ripped as hell
fucking hilarious thanks. i think i did it in one meme post, but i genuinely don't remember which one
i dunno which of the batfam would do this but one time i was sleeping over at a friends house and ended up on the floor bc the bed was so very small and i just stayed there because the rug was soft
that's a drunk jason move i don't know what to tell you
tim and jason are "i listen to pop punk" solidarity. whenever jason highjacks the batmobile theyll go on long ass car rides blaring mcr and paramore and then never talk about it again
as they should!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tim: no jason it's my turn using the aux cord i gotta put on my jams jason: don't you dare put on weird shit tim: don't worry, you're gonna love this *plays fearless (taylor's version)
hear me out hear me out, red hood stans 🤝 nightwing stans t h i g h s
holy shit yes.
SNL au: Bruce breaks character when pretending to superman and says something like "I'm not superman! You've seen his gps!! It's from 2001!!!" @sabeanybabe
superman flies past the snl building the next day just to say 'actually it's from 2005, i'm not a heathen'
does your back hurt from carrying the batfam fandom
it hurts more from the exotic rock collection i keep in my backpack, but thanks for the concern.
I love your posts by why would you always leave the best parts in the tags?
as a treat for the people that check the tags ;) (and also because i'm committed to the short post aesthetic)
somehow your playlist was everything i never knew i needed. i mean it. this is my new favorite playlist.
and don't you dare get a new favourite playlist!
babe ur stoner tim playlist is exactly too perfect, earth is literally blessed by ur existence
babe thanks so much! i love my stoner tim playlist because it's just my usual playlist but people think it's an artistic choice that i put taylor swift and britney spears in there, when it's just what i unironically like listening to
JANDKSKDK BILLY RAY CYRUS ON THE STONER TIM PLAYLIST I LOVE IT IT
again it's not even an ironic choice, i know every single word and i genuinely like the song
The last chapter of Fundamentals of Casework has me crying at work. Thanks I love it @dudelookitsalesbian
oh babe, i'm sorry, but also, not sorry i love chapter 4 so much it's my lovechild with the 'mental illness' tag
soooo....stumbled on your tumblr by some stroke of fate??? read your DC fanfic first. which is PHENOMENAL btw. then found all the batmemes; the funniest thing EVER bc everyone forgets about regular old gothamites. kept scrolling and your blog pops up as recommended. clicked on the ao3 for shits and giggles and waddaya know?!?!? it's YOU!!! you're LEGEND!!!! ever seen that meme? it's a video of a cat that got into a baseball field and the two announcers get really invested in his escape attempt and start giving a play by play of the cat instead of the game. memeable moment: "GREAT stuff from the Cat!!!"
i seriously think about this ask every single day and it's so fucking funny to me that i've never seen the meme you're referencing, but i still find myself going 'GREAT stuff from the Cat!!!' whenever i see something funny. but wow i'm glad you liked this steaming pile of garbage
Fav dc character overall? And fav batfamily character?
don't ask me to pick between the loves of my life, but i can tell you i've cried about every single batfamily member and also wally west (my beloved)
What's your opinion on fans having a problem with batfam being "too big"? And some even claim that batfam is just "Bruce Alfred Dick Damian" and the rest of them are just "friends and allies" (source: reddit) Personally, I like batfam because of this reason but idk
stupid. a family can never be too big. i'm not that big a fan of like huge batfam stuff with everybody from every single universe, because as much as it's funny for bruce to have like 30 kids, it just feels a little too OOC for me.
This is the best tag I've seen involving the batfam, thanks for thinking of it
Tumblr media
This is canon now @nctxrejects
lmao yeah i think at that point alfred has had to sit through like at least a dozen coming out talks and just has a pride flag collection in the attic that he pulls out whenever a kid comes out
idk why batfam hits different as compared to any other superhero family
bc it's found family and usually the other superhero families are almost all genetically related in one way or another
I don't know if you watch the umbrella academy but I saw your last post about batcest and saw the similarities. But the thing is (although I think it's weird) in TUA, they addressed it by saying "they were raised as weapons, not siblings" or something along those lines, which is simply not the case with batfam.
yeah i watched tua but i also thought it was ridiculous and they still treated each other as siblings so i didn't like the luthor/allison thing, and am glad they stopped doing that shit bc it fucking sucked.
Hot take: Batcest shippers are the same people who believe adopted siblings are not actual siblings
smoking hot take: batcest shippers are the people who watch 'my sister got stuck in the washing machine' porn
Duke was adopted by Bruce?
not technically no, but do i, tumblr user batarangsoundsdumb, look like i care?
True story but I had to change my freaking name because it used to be "Damien" and most people would go "OH LIKE DAMIAN WAYNE" like please I'm just tryna live
true story, but i don't actually think of damian when i hear the name damian, literally the first thing that pops up is damian darkh like bruh what?
apparently dc comics company supported comic stores by giving out new titles and stuff during the beginning of the pandemic to help them run and I just think that's wholesome
ah yeah that's so fucking cool, still don't like dc, the company, because this world is a capitalist hellhole and we're all owned by warner brothers or disney with no in between.
ayo looking at tumblr head canons and finding out bruce is actually a terrible father is a punch in the gut
lmao yes, in like 50% of comics bruce is a terrible father and it gives me whiplash
oooh I just saw the jason todd vs winter soldier post and the real question is: batman vs iron man
while iron man has like hundreds of cases of armor, batman could throw out an emp and have the guy dropping out of the sky in 2 seconds.
dickfast = fastdick = quickdick = quickie
magnum hot take
hey bata(?) just thought I'd let you know I have copied the obnoxious emoji and Billy Ray post for use on simping men going forth
thank you 😘🌷 (@spacebarsidecar)
why would you do that to your followers???? i get why i did it, but why would you???
what is scarecrow made the nightwing funko pop himself, like those diy-ers that paint over other ones
oh god no, horrible take, horrible take, that's a disgusting thought oh no
I see your HC that Bruce and Oliver fucked and raise you this: Dick and Roy ALSO fucked
yes they did and it was a horrible moment for jason to find out dick has fucked both of his best friends
"at this rate bruce adds like 1 child to his family every decade or so" Duke is introduced in 2013, Damian as Damian, not as an unnamed child, in 2006. And he is already 14 years old, Robins rarely remain Robins after 16 It looks like a new Robin and Batkid will appear in a couple of years
i mean i can't wait? but somebody will probably die first tho, we're due for another major character death. my money's on either cass or duke this time.
BRO you're so right all of your Bruce's ex headcanons are amazing but they aren't ships, that's kinda wild. Like I don't want any peeks into how their relationship was I just want to see everyone make fun of them
lmao YES it's just i love bruce being a slut, like good for him.
I am in love with your posts your honour thank you
omg thanks are we like,, gonna kiss now?
The justice league needs to have a meeting to discuss how many of their members/partners have slept with bruce. Because through a combination of cannon & fannon (if DC wasn’t homophobic) we have AT LEAST: 1) clark 2) lois 3) oliver 4) dinah 5) john
Thats not counting villains or random civilians @dudelookitsalesbian
yes yes yes, they'll have a yearly meeting about how many of their collective exes could be out for revenge and batman's list just keeps getting longer.
tim was like "i'm drake now" and everyone was like ahh so your fursona is a dragon and tim was like pffffft no. ducks.
and what about it?
when steph's fighting livewire and she zaps her with lighting and nothing happens and then they both just. stand there awkwardly for a second and talk. yeah i couldn't stop laughing at that batgirl steph is the BEST
oh yeah that was fucking hilarious and i think it would be so cool and sexy of dc to give steph a little comic series,,, as a treat
Hi I absolutely adore all of yours "Bruce and Oliver very badly pretending they didn't fuck each other" memes
lmao i do too
I need you to know that “Bruce Wayne had frosted tips” is one of my favorite Bruce takes of all time it’s so galaxy brained. you’re right and you should say it
he also painted his hair blonde once when he was travelling and in conclusion, this is why he's being blackmailed by the gotham gazette.
you know my thing about gordon being branded as the only good cop in gotham is its a load of shit like arguably he's a good person and not working to screw people over or anything but the fact that he also works w. batman makes him a shit cop. like yea batman is better than the mob but its still illegal its still an abuse of power he just not making bank
babe, all cops are bad cops. (but yeah youre absolutely right, working with vigilantes makes you a shit cop, but also working against vigilantes just makes you an asshole cop yanno?)
ruh roh i think i’m about to add “so not yeehaw” every time i don’t like something
that's a very good vocabulary upgrade
somehow i feel like steph already knew. like babs obviously knew but i feel like bruce got high/drunk in front of steph and started telling his boarding school stories and steph was just like “oh you fucked up i’m never gonna forget this”
steph and bruce have weird uncle/rebellious niece dynamic and they just hang out sometimes and bruce will be like 'i once broke my arm when i tripped over a hedge when i was drunk so oliver drove me to the hospital on an electric scooter' and steph will just have to sit there with that knowledge in her head.
Hello I just wanted to tell you you are So right in all your steph opinions bc she is, in fact amazing and I think that's very sexy of you. Ps. Your Bruce/Oliver fic is hilarious
babe, thank you so much and yes steph is amazing and i love her and she deserves the world and she's the best member of the batfam hands down. also thanks
In Supersons we see a couple of kids that are implied to be Damian and Jon's children and the boy has laser eyes and can fly, so I asume he's not adopted. The girl, who calls Bruce grandpa, can also fly, btw. So it's canon (probably by accident) that Jon can have kids and he must have married one of Bruce's kids. (I'm hoping for Damian, mostly because any other of his children would be waaaaaaaaaaaaay too old.) @artemisa97
lmao that was probably an accident seeing as jon is a 17 year old superhero in the year 3000 (by the jonas brothers)
You know, I'm a die hard fan of your memes, but I gotta say one thing: if Gothamites actually took gas mask everywhere with them, then the Scarecrow would just be a weird dude in a weird costume, and not a villain oh so scary. DC really should just takes notes from you.
bold of you to assume there's no gothamite anti-maskers
How does it feel being the funniest person on this app?
horrible, next question.
I can't listen to Green Day or Billy Joel without thinking of your post about how Bruce got arrested at a Billy Joel concert @nightwings-kid
yeah that's your mistake, i on the other hand can't enjoy billy joel without thinking about the glee rendition of 'uptown girl'
I've FINALLY been watching the Batman animated series and I gotta say, after watching "the gray ghost" I am CONVINCED that Batman is a closeted super hero geek who was 100% freaking out the first time he met Superman and is just REALLY good at hiding it.
superman: so what do you do in your free time? batman, thinking about the superman fanfiction he's writing on the batcomputer: i have no free time
bruce and oliver be like boyfriends to co-workers 401k (do the justice leagues get 401ks??? not that bruce and ollie would need them, but-)
lmao yes just 400 thousand words of bruce realising 'oh dip oliver is such a fucking dumbass' (also i don't know what a 401 k is but i assume they don't?)
Gothamites would totally boo superman as he saves Gotham while batman is out. @meenje
he's like 'okay think about that next time you want to be saved from an alien octopus'
I just took long break from dc comics and I come back to see ric grayson ??
i think it's very cool and sexy of dc to see dick and just think 'you know what? let's just give him a traumatic brain injury' and then didn't develop his character in any real way
SPEAKING OF RIC GRAYSON, gothamites making confused memes out of ric grayson is much needed
'dick grayson is my taxi driver? can anyone explain what the fuck happened he looks like an italian plumber?'
i hate to say it but batfam are def "marvel characters" in that sense they are characters who are human but become superheroes unlike most dc characters who are gods trying to be human maybe this is why I like batfam
fair enough

Remember, you asked.
First, you misunderstand the batfamily's concept, or what fanon made them to be (canon is a lil shit we don't like bc its inconsistent.) I would not call them brutal, in the slightest. "Brutal" means savage, uncontrolled violence, which you could say is true to the batfamily, but they are not "brutal" as a family unit, and rarely brutal as individuals. The violence is more often than not stricktly neccesary.
The batfamily is inherently human, a huge family made by choice, with flaws, grief and anger coating every bond, because of the line of work they are in. They are different, yet they still find comfort and familiarity in each other. You can call them toxic, because they are in canon, but the fandom had managed to make something better, something functioning out of it.
The batfamily heals each other, and they offer a place of healing for others.
But then, why DP? You asked.
First, there is the obvious joke we should adress, the adoption bait Danny is. Black hair, blue eyes, trauma is basically Bruce waynes exact adoption type.
Second, Danny has a broken homelife, as much as people want to overlook it. Jack and Maddie are not good parents, fixated on their job, neglecting their kid. Because it is neglect, even if they love him.
Oh look! A sudden point that comes up! Paralells.
Danny's relationship with his parents brings a paralell to Tim's relationship with his own. The Fentons and the Drakes both love their son, but their job is always more important. They were not fit for parenthood, and they have no clue what to do with a child.
And lets not forget that Danny died a pretty traumatic death, which realistically would cause a fourteen year old biig ptsd, which I feel like is not properly explored in the show (shocker). And then he is brought back by this green goo (more on ectoplasm later), which brings us our second paralell, which is Jason Todd. Jason also died a traumatic dead at age fourten, and then was brought back to consciousness by green goo.
So, you have a teenage vigilante with black hair, blue eyes who had to die to gain his powers, is super traumatised, and hunted by his own parents, also has a creepy old man who wants to make him his sucsessor.
Yeah that is another paralel to Tim, and surprisingly Dick. (Slade when I cach you...)
I dunno about you, but Danny just fits into this little found family thing they have going on.
But what about Jass, I hear you asking.
Jass was also neglected, and then forced to take on a third parental role when Danny was born. Her love for psychology is not an accident, she wants to provide the best life for her brother, and emotional growth can only be supported by an emotionally mature person.
Add that to the fact that her brother technically died at fourteen, and you get a pretty good gist about how much trauma she herself might be repressing, which is an amazing point of discusion in any media.
Now onto the worldbuilding, and why DP adds so much to the DCU.
First, lets address the elephant in the blog, green goo. The lazarus pitts make so much sense as contaminated ectoplasm, it's not even funny. Ectoplasm is what ghosts are made out of, its what gives them life, what helps them heal. So it would make sense that it would assist with bringing back a person, but really wrong. It's dirty with age, and death, that's why it works as it does. It's an excellent plot drive, with Danny hellping Jason overcome the effects of this horrid thing inside him, and it also gives us an exciting premise of Jason being somewhat an opposite of Danny. Fully dead, and fully alive, not some half this half that. Jason is not just a ghost possessing his own body, he's him, he's still one, body and soul, even if he died.
Second, the GIW (Guys In White/Ghost Investigation Ward) and the AEA (Anty Ecto Acts).
The AEA goes against Meta Protection Laws, dehumanizing ectoplasmic beings and taking away every right denizens (residents of the infinite realms/ghost zone, more on that later) would deserve as sentient beings.
This brings in a tension point for the justice leauge and the gowernment, makind for stellar drama. Also a tension point for Damian and Jason, who are considered Ectoplasmic beings (lazarus pit).
The GIW are the enforcers basically. They experiment on denizens, they are a government organization, and such.
The implications of the Infinite realms, and how it fits.
As we know, the DCU is a multiverse, with a lot of different universes, The ghost zone, or Infinite realms, depending on who you ask, is basically the veins of the universe, and the ectoplasm is its blood. There, it fitts nicely, I am not going into politics bc that is really author dependent.
All in all, the two just fits together so perfectly, it would have been strange not to decide a crosover is due.
This is all I have right now, if I missed something, feel free to tell me.
I genuinely want to know where DC×DP got started. Who looked at this brutal, angry, violent family and said "you know who would go great with this? An overrated nickelodeon cartoon about ghosts" like ?????

can anybody please explain the appeal of tim drake because ive been into the batfamily for a while now and tbh im really confused on why people like his character so much compared to the other robins. like they all have their own thing going on and he just... doesnt?
Have you read his Robin solo? Because if not and you want to try to like him but just don’t understand why people do, that’s what I’d recommend. That and like, Young Justice 1998.
Because Tim definitely... does have his own thing going on. Maybe not in the same way as the others, but like, there’s a reason he has a 183 issue long solo comic that ran for like 16 years: he was fun to read about!
But I will give some more specific thoughts on the subject as a Tim Drake Appreciator™ (this got long im sorry)
The appeal of Tim (especially early on Tim) is kinda the fact that he’s this more normal kid. For a while that is his ‘thing’. He was basically designed to be a self-insert (he definitely became more than that along the way, but from the start he was meant to be relatable) in a different way than how Dick and Jason had been before him.
Like the role of Robin from the start was this way to create a character young readers could identify with more, could see themselves in more. And Dick and Jason did that, but they still had this element to their lives and stories that was more... unattainable for the average reader. Dick was a circus prodigy, Jason was either also a circus prodigy if we remember pre-crisis or if we go with his post-crisis story he’s this street-wise orphaned kid who had a really tough life but still went on to be a hero anyways. Obviously those lives are relatable for some people, but those’re definitely not as broadly recognized as common upbringings especially not by DC trying to market to the ‘average’ kid/young teen.
But the creation of Tim changed the game a bit. Dick and Jason were these aspirations a kid could look to like ‘wow I want to be cool like that!’ but Tim was a Robin designed for kids to look at and go ‘wow, his problems and civilian life are just like mine AND he’s a hero, I want to be cool like that!’, ya know? Tim was... just a clever kid with an average life who managed to connect some dots and had enough drive to want to fix things he saw were a problem, he didn’t have the same kind of heightened drama backstory the others did. The Robins that came after Tim definitely didn’t have this idea of relatability in mind the same way either. Unfortunately Steph’s time as Robin was much more of a marketing ploy than an actual like... decision to make her Robin, so it’s hard to really fit her into this conversation. But Damian from the start was first of all initially created not to be Robin but just as the son of Talia and Bruce back in the 80’s, but when he was later reimagined into the character that would become Robin he had the whole ‘raised by and is the heir to the league of assassins and is the son of batman’ thing going on still. He just was not supposed to be relatable that same way, he was a character designed with different things in mind.
I really think it was more just DC’s 90′s era younger-audience comics in general that tried to push that relatability thing (like in YJ how Cissie even after quitting the team stays a major character as a civilian throughout, and the civilian aspect that’s super present in Bart’s 90s solo too, etc), but later in the 2000’s that idea was definitely pushed to the side in favor of... putting in even more dramatic superhero-y stuff.
And the other thing that’s... such a more normal thing but it actually made him unique here, was that Tim’s dad was still alive until like 2004 (so 15 years into Tim being around as a character). This gave Tim a lot more typical ‘family school girlfriends normal life etc’ problems on top of/in contrast with his superhero problems. These just manifested in very different ways than they could with the other Robins because of that unique situation with a living civilian parent who doesn’t know about hero stuff (until he did find out which lead to that whole Unmasked thing, but there was only the brief time around War Games & Identity Crisis where Jack knew Tim was actively Robin and he was... still alive) Tim also had his life at school expanded way more than most other Robins, like, he had such an extended supporting cast of civilian friends which is a really interesting thing to read about (and the fact that he hasn’t had that stuff since the New 52 I think really hurts his character)
And then related to that loss of his dad... Personally another thing about Tim that really interests me is how a lot of things were more... his choice. if that makes sense. A lot of characters in the Batfamily were struck with tragedy/extreme trauma before they became heroes and that’s what spurred them into this life of becoming heroes. Tim’s situation wasn’t like that at all! When he first got involved in everything during Lonely Place of Dying, the only tragedy he’d experienced was watching Dick’s tragedy happen. Which sure yes traumatic obviously, but that’s not the same as how pretty much all the other Bats had gone through these very personal losses or other sorts of very first-hand personal traumas that served as motivators. Tim didn’t start to experience those things until after he got involved in the hero life, and aside from his Mom’s death which was more of just an unrelated incident (that technically happened before he was officially Robin but it was during his time training to become Robin), pretty much all these other tragedies and things... would not have happened or been experienced by him had he not become Robin.
That’s not me placing blame on him or anything like that, because god no that’s not how that works, but it’s very interesting because from his point of view he definitely feels that guilt because he knows him being Robin played a role in a lot of it (Thinking specifically about in Adventure Comics #3 when Kon even says “I know what guilt does to you” to him like it’s... it’s a thing with him!). His dad was murdered because he was Robin. He only met Steph and started dating her through being Robin, and thus he would not have experienced the loss of his girlfriend dying like that had he not been Robin. Tim met both Conner and Bart through being Robin, and would not have had a personal connection to them when they died otherwise. The whole Bruce’s death thing after Final Crisis, like. I could go on honestly, that was only talking about losses not even his own experiences nearly getting killed, but yeah, all these personal tragedies were experienced by him specifically because he chose to bring himself into this life, which I think in turn plays into how throughout his comics you see him go from having this really optimistic view on things and being really hopeful to seeing him at that low point he reaches by the time of Red Robin. (thinking about that one post that points out how Tim started out in the 90′s as an optimist and Steph a cynic and by the time they were Red Robin and Batgirl in 2009 they had switched outlooks...)
I also think that him having had such a great team book with the original Young Justice can help contribute to people liking him. His friendships with the rest of the core four and that team in general are really compelling. (and that’s something like again when looking at the other Robins, while Dick had the Titans ofc, Jason never really found footing with a team outside of like one mission with the Titans and then We All Know How Damian’s Teen Titans Stuff Went. Steph also only ever really worked with a team outside the batfam on very brief occasions) and even though I’m not as big of a fan of the 2003 Teen Titans run that came after YJ, people who read Young Justice and also that could follow and be attached to those same characters over a pretty decently long period of time.
Idk man, I don’t really have an ultimate point here i’m just rambling. I can definitely understand not seeing the appeal to him right away (honestly i’ve been into Batfam since like 2013/2014 and Tim did not become one of my faves until 2020) especially if like... idk when you say ‘into the batfamily’ that can mean a lot of different things. If you’re reading more like the bigger events with the batfam sure Tim can kinda fade into the bg a bit, if you’re more talking about fanon the fanon version of him is prettyyyyy uhhhhh not really the same as how he was in pre New 52 canon, if you’re mainly reading New 52 era Batfam stuff then that Tim I also don’t understand the appeal of bc thats Not My Boy, if you’re interested in a different member primarily and only familiar with Tim when he shows up in things focused on that other character then it’s easy to not really understand the appeal right away bc he’s more there to support that character rather than shine in his own right.
I think it’s also worth mentioning he’s just not everybody’s cup of tea, and that’s totally fine. Like, these are fictional characters and sometimes you just will vibe with a character and sometimes you won’t! idk if this helped at all or even made sense. but yeah. I just think he’s neat 😌

It's been a couple months since Billy first got his powers, and shared them with his new foster siblings. They're still working everything out. Secret identities, school, leadership, lair decorating, and, most importantly, code names. But when 6 full-fledged superheroes who might be wielding the power of Gods appear out of seemingly nowhere, it doesn't take long for the Justice League to take notice. The question then becomes: Where did these people come from? And are they to be trusted?
With the Shazamily now in the League? There's only one way to find out.

The truth is that all the bat's have a complicated relationship when it comes to Bruce being their main father figure even dick and damian who have the most straight forward and strongest connection with Bruce as their dad still have this * added on which isn't a bad thing it's reflective of how complex most human relationships are particularly parental relationships but we can't talk about it because there are so many people who will jump on it as an excuse to say see they're not a real family it's fine to ship such and such or the people who don't want Bruce to have any children what so ever
!!!!!!!!! YEAH the weird relationship as a family they all have is so often either ignored or taken to mean "well theyre not ACTUALLY his kids" and its so annoying bc its so much more interesting when their dynamics are all a little fucked up. like to me none of the adopted kids are able to really see bruce as their father but some people will take that to mean that damian is his only child which. no.
like in canon its hard to take any of the batkids and say "bruce is their father and they are bruces child" bc their relationships are nuanced and not cut and dry. but that doesnt mean that bruce isnt their father.
but its hard to talk about that bc you have people saying "no their relationship IS complicated theyre not a family so its not weird to ship them" or the people that think of the batfamily as like. coworkers or whatever. and if i say they dont always think of bruce as their father i get lumped into the people that dont think bruce has kids
plus there are the actual writers (not naming any names but his name rhymes with Bom Baylor) that refuse to write any complicated relationships and just make cute moments to please batfamily fans instead of acknowledging their actual dynamics. so you get people going "look dick sees bruce as his father and thats it!" despite the years of him not knowing how he actually sees bruce so people can pretend that the dynamics arent as fucked (affectionate) as they are
in conclusion i like it when everyones relationships with each other are weird. theyre still family and if you act like bruce isnt their father ill bite you, but IM allowed to act like bruce isnt their father because im right.

hi, can i ask why you didn't like the group chat part of nightwing 79? i thought it was cute personally. if you don't wanna get into it you can just ignore me.
sure babe!
ok so the groupchat itself? just the fact that the batfamily has a groupchat? i suppose it was cute. it’s definitely a nice concept, but not a realistic one. the batfam went from all barely tolerating each other to loving each other and being one big happy family super super quick, with no build up and and stories that show them slowly growing closer and learning to trust each other and forgive each other. it just,,,suddenly happened?? which is why every time i read a more recent comic with a bunch of happy family content, i never like it, because it’s never realistic. it would mean a lot more if we got to see that gradual establishment of a family instead.
but also i don’t like the joke in general. lets break it down.
barbara texts the family group chat to make fun of dick having his wallet stolen.
there is not a single word in that sentence that i like.
the fact that there’s a family group chat? already covered it.
dick having his wallet stolen? i tolerated it while reading, but only because it was needed for Plot Progression. but that speaks in of itself, right? the only way tom taylor could think of to progress the plot was to make a joke about dick’s “incompetence.”  in canon verse, that would never happen. dick would never leave something as important as his wallet just sitting around on a pizza stall. he also is entirely too aware of his surroundings to simply not notice his wallet being stolen until after it’s gone. he would have noticed them and stopped them before they even got a couple steps away. in meta verse, it was bad writing. there was no attention drawn to the wallet, it was a small detail that you didn’t even notice until later when you found out dick lost the wallet, and then you had to go back a page or two to see where exactly dick had kept his wallet for them to steal it so easily. it took me a hot second of searching to find it, but it’s under the cut for anyone who wants to see where it is. there is no attention drawn to it, there’s no sign that says “hey, remember this, bc it’s gonna be used in a joke later.” obviously you wouldn’t do that, because it’ll destroy the punchline. but basing a joke around something no one noticed or cared about also destroys the punchline, because the humor is lost on the reader. “dick lost his wallet? i didn’t even see his wallet.” also, this joke is what sets up the entire rest of the issue. he follows the kids, sees them try to rob maroni, chases the guys whose chasing the kids, then comes across one of bludhaven’s slums. that’s how he discovers all of the homeless kids (not by, yknow, actually living in the city for a good few years now and knowing his way around as nightwing. but by just stumbling onto it. very realistic, dc.) him finding out about the poverty in bludhaven is what pushes him to start spending the money alfred gave him to lift up the city. so basically, dick’s foolishness at having his wallet stolen led to him accidentally discovering all of the homeless people in bludhaven and him deciding to help them. that sentence rubbed me the wrong way, and i know it’s not just me. dick should have already known about how poor bludhaven is. it’s one of the main reasons he decided to move there. logistically, there is no way he is just now finding out about this, and there is no way he is just now deciding to help
finally, babs laughing at dick’s misfortune and then telling his family about it? maybe it’s just me, but i didn’t really like that. she laughed at dick for it, and then helped him find his wallet. if it were me (and once again, maybe this is just me) i’d panic along with the friend first. there is a credit card with over a billion dollars in that wallet, along with probably a couple other important things. losing your wallet isn’t something you laugh off. it would have worked better for me if babs, first, helped him find his wallet. then, when all was said and done, she laughed and teased him about it, because no harm came of it and everything turned out alright in the end.
also. the entire thing didn’t even fucking matter in the end. dick let the kids keep the wallet. so what was the point?
,,,,,,,,,so apparently it seems i was a little bit more angry at this than originally thought. sorry for ranting babe. i hope this answered your question tho.

I’ve heard a bunch of different opinions on this throughout the years, but I don’t know if you already got this question:
Do you think that Jason should be on a team/have relationships outside of the batfam? Because I’ve seen some say that his character only works when completely isolated (at least in the terms of positive relationships) while others say that it’s high time that he starts gaining actual friends and such like the rest of the Robins. Personally, I’m team friends bc I’m getting bored of all of Jason’s best stories having to pit him against basically everybody (or him being chained to rest of the bats all the time. Also I feel like Jason not having chemistry with anyone is because he’s rarely allowed to interact with other characters while remaining competent and well written)
Hi! Thank you for the ask!
I will be honest, for some reason, this question is making me go back and forth with what I want to say. So, as I am writing this, I am also telling myself the answer to this question.
First of all, I am a big fan of Jason having no interaction with the Bat-Clan in comics’ canon. This whole “Batfamily” thing isn’t really my thing or what I would like to see in Jason Todd/Red Hood books. To me, that concept doesn’t belong in comics and it’s not real, DC has made no effort in actually building a family with these characters so I would love it if Jason was “taken out” of the Batfamily narrative.
But as of now Jason has been pushed and locked away with these characters so DC can “sell” more books to people that can find that narrative for free in fanfiction.
Now, would I like Jason getting a team and/or friends if he weren’t involved with the Bat-Clan now? The answer would be no. Well, the short answer will be no and I will tell you why.
Jason Todd as the Red Hood is a character with no specific or distinguishable character traits. He has been in constant limbo, characterization-wise, ever since Lobdell stopped writing him. Me saying that is in no way me praising Lobdell for his ten years of absolute garbage writing because Lobdell was also messy when characterizing Jason. But on a certain level, his Jason followed a line or structure.
Now everything is a mess, every writer that comes by for a couple of issues either adds something that will eventually only confuse people or they recycle old stories that have long been solved. Jason has had his story re-written way too many times.
Where am I going with this, you ask? Well, adding a team or friends will only worsen things for Jason’s characterization, this has happened before, namely, with Red Hood and the Outlaws (2011). RHatO started fresh after Jason’s characterization was butchered by two or three different writers and instead of this new writer going to the original material (UtRH) he decided to start fresh, and alongside that fresh new start came the absolute character assassination of two very well-loved characters, Roy Harper and Koriand’r.
Jason’s, Roy’s, and Kory’s characterizations were all modified so much that we essentially had three new characters in our hands. And that was done so the writer could fit these characters in the story that he wanted to tell.
And that is my biggest fear right now for Jason, him being re-written/modified even more beyond recognition for him to fit with a team or something like that. And it is scary because if Jason has been in limbo for the past year, right now he is drowning in limbo, DC took his guns away, they dragged him back to Bat-Dramaland and he is “figuring himself out”.
So, giving him a team or friends wouldn’t be the best for him NOW. That’s why the answer to your question is no, I wouldn’t want to see him in a team right now.
But! If things were different and Jason had a solid characterization and his morals weren’t messed around with, I would actually like to see him have a group of people by his side. It would be something in between a team and friends.
And I have talked about this idea before, if Jason were to be a developed UtRH Jason I would love it if he actually created his own gang or group of people with people that used to work for Gotham’s baddies. Like him showing people that are working out of necessity with Black Mask that if they work with him, it will actually be better because he can offer protection against both Black Mask and Batman.
I believe that him can make Gotham’s people feel safe in a work environment because he is their boss. And as time goes by, he can become really close friends with the people that work with him.
I see Jason as an amazingly ruthless but also a kind boss that will always have your back if you are loyal to him. And the Jason that I like or that I believe should be in current comics isn’t a person that trusts easily, so working with other vigilantes would be hard for him.
Jason has very strong thoughts that can be very polarizing to people, so him connecting with other vigilantes might not be simple, but Gotham’s good people, that are trapped in bad situations, have been through a lot so I think that if they ever come across the Red Hood, they will like him because he can actually make a difference in Gotham.
So, friends or a team as he is written right now? No, first I would like to see how he is developed (or if he is developed at all) and then maybe.
Friends or a team for a Jason that will probably never exist? Yeah, if treated carefully.
Every character deserves to have their own set of friends or team but characters are also carefully written, and if a character doesn’t have a solid story to put them together then giving them friends or a team might complicate things because either you change the character that you are writing in order for them to fit in OR you might end up changing other character’s characterization to fit in with your character’s wobbly and ever-changing story.
Well, anon, there it is, a way too long answer for a simple question, I hope I didn’t confuse you with my rambling and that you have an amazing rest of the week!
