i'd love to see more from the poly reader x poolverine verse im obsessed w them
"I didn't realize your... roommates were home today," Your sister said helping the youngest into his coat.
"It's what happens when you don't call," you caution. "They live here. You want free babysitting, you accept the terms. Sometimes it's kazoos. Sometimes it's roommates." For now, you'd accept her calling them roommates. It was partly true. And it was less rude than what your mother had said. She called them your caretakers.
Sarah narrowed her eyes at you and you shrugged, "They're fed and in one piece. And Zach has part of his social studies paper done. You're welcome."
She watched for a second as her boys willingly accepted hugs and kisses as you ignored her, beseeching them to learn something at school and make good choices and she sighed, "Thanks."
"Call next time," you tell her giving her a meaningful look. You didn't live alone anymore. And if she didn't want her kids exposed to certain things then she needed to give you enough lead time to hide those things... Today she got lucky.
________________
"Shhh," Wade said, holding up a hand, "You hear that?"
"Hear what?" Logan said opening a beer.
"Silence," Wade sighed, sinking on to the couch next to you, handing you a glass of wine. "Holy shit."
"And that's why I like being the cool Aunt," You tell him yawning. "I show up late. I bring presents. I leave before the crying starts. And then I enjoy my nice quiet house."
Logan snorted and reached over to rub your neck as he took your other side and picked up the remote, "Nice little racket, bub."
You take a sip from your glass and stretch, snuggling into Logan's side and putting your feet in Wade's lap, "Not too shabby, boys."
"For roommates," Wade teased, smacking the bottoms of your feet affectionately. "Didn't know roommates fuck like we fuck."
"Sorry-"
Logan grunted and wrapped his arm around you, "Pause was doin' some heavy lifting there."
"Mom... doesn't approve. What dad knows depends on the day. And I think my grandparents would just drop fucking dead. So. There's that." You lean over and lift a sleepy Mary into your lap and stroke her back before resting your head against Logn again. They are who they are and you are who you are. You don't fit in with the cookie cutter perfect family they have and you haven't from the second you took your first breath. But you fit here with a variant and a mercenary and their ugly little rat dog.
"We could ruin Christmas," Wade offered, "Just go make out in front of-"
"Or," you hum, "we can leave well enough alone so I can still hang out with the kids and let them have someone around that's somehow less fucked up even if I'm objectively a mess."
The boys traded a look and Logan kissed the top of your head. They'd work out the specifics later but for now, as long as your sister kept her comments to herself they'd behave- mostly. As long as it meant you got to see the kids. Because it was clear it made you happy, and because; truth be told, it hadn't been too bad today.
Wade cradled one of your feet in his hand and grinned, "I got a question."
"Might have and answer," you tell him, hissing when his thumb hit a tender spot on your instep.
"Why do all the rugrats call you, Shush?"
"My parent's housekeeper calls me Sugar," you answer. "Everyone sort of adopted it and Zach couldn't say it- so it devolved into Shush and stuck."
"Stop it, that's precious," Wade cooed, "I thought they called you that because they were always telling you to shut-"
"Not all of us went to school thinking our first name was Damn it," you snort.
Logan smirked and let go of you long enough to light his cigar. "What'd she call your sister?" he asked.
"Honey. Or Princess if she was being annoying... it's just that neither ever really stuck."

Kids were running around, laughing, eating, and talking about what they wanted for Christmas with their friends while drinking hot chocolate. Christmas music was playing throughout the speakers of the venue where the event was set.
The smell of peppermint and cinnamon flew through the air, bringing the mood for Christmas to an all-time high.
But there was one big problem. Santa was nowhere to be found. Kids were asking their parents left and right, and parents were getting annoyed at Carol, knowing that Dave was supposed to dress up as Santa. The sudden situation made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.
Goosebumps riddled her body as she saw Molly walk up to ask her an all-too-familiar question everyone else was asking her. “Mommy, where’s Santa?”
Carol gets down to her daughter's level. “Santa’s just running a little late.”
Molly's eyes trail down to her hands as she plays with her fingertips; the little girl starts balancing her toes through her Mary Jane Doc Martens. "But, you said Santa's never late; that's how he makes it to so many houses on time," Molly spoke, hiding the sadness in her voice.
Carol huffs a smile, noticing how smart her daughter and strokes her daughter's face, pushing a stranded piece of hair behind her ear in her best attempts to calm her daughter. "There's always a first time for everything, but baby, I promise Santa will be here for you — for everyone, and he'll get whatever you ask him."
"He will?" Molly smiled, glancing back at her mom.
Carol smiled and nodded her head. "Yes, he will."" Molly quickly wrapped her arms around her mom's neck while Carol wrapped her arms around Molly's small frame. As Carol backed up from the embrace, she saw a smile from her daughter that could light up an entire room. “Now, did you get a candy cane for Alice?”
“No, not yet,” Molly smiled.
“Well,” Carol smiled. “Let’s get your sister one, and we’ll wait for Santa together. Sound fun?”
Molly didn't answer. She just nodded and giggled at her mother. As Carol stood up, Molly started to run off to the table that lay candy canes, her smile beaming ear to ear. Carol hits Dave’s contact, trying to find where her husband is. “C’mon, Dave. Pick up the phone,” She grumbles, bringing the phone to her ear.
Tumblr media
Your back clashes against a rickety shelf, making objects fall next to the two passionate, — hungry people’s lips melting together. Dave’s leathered-covered hands were melted on your waist, while yours were in his hair, passing your nails through his locks like sand. Hearing a phone vibrate in the distance, choosing to ignore it.
Dave had discarded the itchy fake beard on the closet floor to get better access to your lips, and the red jacket’s buttons hadn't been closed — practically ripped open by you.
Dave’s lips began attacking your jaw, his lips biting the skin on your neck. You hiss a moan as Dave sucks your neck like a vampire. His hands travel down to palm your ass, a tight grip makes you yelp softly, a sly chuckle escaping Dave's lips.
“Fuck, I can tell Santa is getting antsy.”
“You don't know how bad I’ve been waiting to do this, to mark your skin, to taste you,” Dave growls into your skin, sending goosebumps all over your neck.
Dave’s mouth was hot on your neck, his lips sucking and biting against your soft skin, making you grip his short hair in retaliation. Your pants bounce all over the small area in the closet.
Taking your hands off Dave’s cranium, you slip them underneath his red jacket. You were pushing your hands up in an attempt to get the coat off. Dave, in one motion — mouth still latched onto your neck, takes the jacket and throws it on the ground, revealing the grey tank top underneath.
“Fuck, I can’t get enough of you, you taste like fuckin’ heaven.”
Your nails latch onto Dave’s shoulder as he forcefully places his lips onto yours. Dave brings his hands up from your ass to your neck, lightly choking you. As the kissing was passionate, Dave’s grip under your neck was intoxicating; you wanted more of him.
“Fuck Dave, I want you so fucking bad,” You breathed.
“So fucking needy, I don't want to put you on the naughty list, right?”
“I’m already at the fucking top, written in red,” You state, trailing your hand from Dave’s shoulder to his cock. Dave hisses his teeth at your sudden action.
“Naughty boy, I should teach you a lesson on how to be good,” Dave retorted.
“What do you have in mind?” You smirked.
Dave takes his mouth off yours and brings himself close to your ear. “Turn the hell around and wait for me.” Dave lets go of the grip around your throat; you take a deep breath, trying to get oxygen back in your body.
You turn around, placing your hands on a shelf near your head. You heard shuffling come from behind, but you didn’t turn around, you just waited — almost eagerly for what Dave was going to do.
Licking your teeth, you were met by Dave’s body colliding against yours, feeling his length against your ass. “You feel what you’re doing to me, baby. I can't get enough of you.”
Dave takes your hands off the shelf you were grasping and places them behind you. Dave had taken the belt of the Santa jacket and wrapped the leather belt around your hands, the large strap keeping your hands tied behind your back.
Dave slips his hands onto your pants, unbuttons your jeans, and slips your underwear and jeans down to your ankles. You feel Dave press himself through the soft material feeling his covered length against your ass.
“I swear, you have the best ass,” Dave starts, smacking his hand against your ass. You hiss in pleasure. “In the whole fuckin’ world.” You hear a grunt escape Dave’s lips, suggesting that he’s in a rush to take off the pants he was forced to wear.
You could feel his cock press up against your ass, but you felt it back up from you. You hear Dave spit, and you don't think anything from it until you feel the tip of Dave’s cock slowly slide in. You suck in a deep breath.
"Damn it, I can never get enough of you," Dave growled.
You could feel Dave's cock stretch you out, slowly, painfully enjoying every inch inside you. Dave’s hips had a mind of their own as his thrust started slow, but his thighs clapped against your ass.
Dave's slow thrusts became more and more intense, but you loved every second of it. With each clap, your moans kept escaping your lips, and Dave’s cock slipped out of you as you moved forward.
“Are you trying to run, baby?”
“Too intense, sorry, Davie,” You breathed.
A hard smack against your ass makes you yelp in pain as you feel a harsh tug on your wrist. Your arms being attached to you — your back collided with Dave’s firm chest.
“You’re going to take every inch of my dick, I’m going to mark my handprint on that sweet ass of yours, and I need you to never call me Davie again, understand,” Dave commanded.
You nod. Immediately, Dave lets go of the tight grip on the belt and places his palm on your back. He was leaning you back down on the shelf, having the perfect arch for your ass to poke out.
Dave adjusts himself — sliding his cock inside you, but he doesn't go slow. His thrusts were fast, and you didn't care if anyone heard the claps or moans that escaped your lips.
Dave had gripped his hands on the belt tightly, making the leather rub against your skin, and he was enjoying the sounds escaping your lips. Dave was enjoying that his cock was making you moan, whimper and beg for him.
"Baby, those sounds, make my cock twitch like crazy," Dave growled.
“I love your cock so much, Dave. God. It's so fucking amazing.”
“That's it, beg for me, angel,” Dave grunted, smacking your ass.”
With Dave’s firm hand, making contact with your bare ass, you moan as a reflex. Another smack came across your ass, another, and another, and another. You became a moaning bullhorn — bearing your teeth, you lay your forehead on the shelf as you feel each thrust rock the shelf.
"Baby, I'm so fuckin" close.”
Dave’s thrusts had become more animalistic, hot, and intense. It was reminiscent of the other times you were like this. The stress disappeared the second you saw each other, just two dads helping each other. You loved this; this moment was something you always yearned for whenever you needed a stress reliever.
You hear growls escape Dave’s lips; you guess he was bearing his teeth as he was ready to shoot his cum deep inside you. "Fuck, baby. I'm gonna cum. I’m going to get you pregnant,” Dave exclaimed, bearing his teeth. As Dave's hips keep going back and forth into you, looking into your eyes, his cum shoots inside you; Dave steadies himself inches away from your neck.
But Dave’s hips don't stop; they keep going — pushing his cum deeper inside you, some slowly leaking out. You don't question it, but enjoy the moment. “Baby. I can feel your hole wrap around me so tight, I can tell you’re about to cum.”
“We’re not going to stop until you cum for me.”
Dave lets go of his hold on the belt and then melts his hands on your waist.
For some reason, you could feel your cum start to build up from your shaft and almost to the tip of your cock. This feeling has never happened to you before, and this was a different experience than anything you could imagine when you were having sex with Dave.
“Dave, I’m gonna cum; this feels so different; it's so fuckin’ good.”
“That’s right, cum for me, baby.”
You shut your eyes, bearing your teeth, exclaiming as you feel strings of cum escape the slit of your cock, bringing your head back, leaning your head on Dave’s shoulder in exhaustion.
You could feel Dave slip his cock out of you, your hole dripping with his cum. Slowly and softly, you felt the belt start to let go of your wrist.
The second the belt had let go of your skin, your arms retracted back to your sides, and you felt light kisses on your neck from Dave. “How was that, angel?”
You turn your neck and plant your lips onto Dave’s. “Amazing as always,” You smile.
You hear your ringtone go off in your pocket, earning a groan from Dave. “Ugh, and the real world has to come knocking.”
You ignore him as you bend to reach your phone in the crumbled pocket, earning a hiss from you, the pain in your ass settling in now. The hissing stopped as you stood up and held your phone. And saw that Carol was calling.
You snicker, seeing her contact on your phone. “How much do you want to bet that she’s calling me regarding where her husband is? Cause me and you are such close friends.”
Dave wraps his arm around your shoulder; beads of sweat glisten on his arm as it connects with your shoulder. His chin is resting on your other shoulder.
“Nothing, because I know that's why she’s calling you.”
You chuckle as you answer Carol’s call, Dave’s lips latching onto your neck as you bring your phone up to your free ear.
“Hey, Carol,” You did your best to sound enthusiastic.
“Hey, is Dave with you? I’ve been trying to call him, but he isn't answering his phone.”
“Yeah, I’m actually with him. He’s struggling with the costume, but I promise he’s almost ready,” You state, trying to get Dave’s lips off your neck as his teeth latched onto your neck.
You hear Carol’s breath of relief as you smirk. “Thank God, I was getting worried. Everyone was asking me where Santa is and I didn't know what to say—”
“Carol,” You chuckle. “Calm down, He’s almost done. We’ll be in, in a few minutes.” You feel Dave’s hand slide up under your shirt, playing with your nipple.
“Thanks, I’ll see you later. Once again, thank you for helping Dave with this; he hated the idea, but whatever you said really made him step up.”
It wasn't what you said, more of what you did to convince him. Your sore throat after that “conversation” was worth it.
“I’m glad he has a friend like you.”
“Anytime, Carol. Calm yourself down and wait for Dave and me,” You smiled.
“Okay, I will. Bye.”
“Bye,” You state as you hang the phone up, placing your phone on the shelf where you rested your head moments prior. “What happened?” Dave questioned.
“Everyone getting antsy on where the hell is Santa,” You retorted.
“He was too busy —kiss— fucking his little helper —kiss— in the closet.”
“We need to get going; we could only be in here for so long.”
Dave groans next to your ear, causing you to chuckle. “Can’t we just leave? Y’know, and fuck somemore, somewhere?”
“As tempting as that sounds — and I’m fighting restraint to say yes, we need to go out there. Come on, we can have some fun later,” You state as you pick up your pants.
Tumblr media
Currently, you were looking for your belt that Dave threw off the second you both entered the closet. “Fuck, where’s my belt?” You grumble.
Dave fixes the wide leather belt on his red jacket. His pants were on; he had buttoned up the red coat and was ready to go. Dave needed the hat you ripped off his head and the beard he took off. But Dave couldn't help himself from staring at your ass as you were looking for your belt.
He was leaning on a nearby wall, watching you with crossed arms. “Y’know, the kids can wait, a couple more minutes. They’ll be fine.”
“Dave…” You started.
“Just imagine me, you, your face on the ground, my handprint, marking that sweet ass, hearing those amazing moans you love to make for me so much.”
“As much as I would love to do that. I need your help finding my belt before Carol kills us.”
Hearing Dave huff a breath in annoyance like a teenager, you can't help but smile and roll your eyes. “You’re no fun, and your belt is right by the door.”
Snapping your neck toward the door, you see your brown belt lying on the ground as if it were waiting to be found by you.
“W-what,” You sputter. “How long were you going to make me look?”
Dave shrugged his crossed arms. “I was just enjoying the view.”
Grabbing the belt, you stand up and push the belt through the loops of your jeans; buckling the belt together, you were ready to leave the small closet while Dave was gawking at you.
“You ready?” You question.
“Yeah, let’s go,” Dave starts to walk out, but you open your mouth to stop him. “Dave?”
“Yeah?” He questions.
“Aren’t you forgetting something?” You ask, crossing your arms.
“Oh yeah, you’re right.” Dave States, walking towards you, grabbing your biceps, and planting his lips on your forehead, backing up from you with a smirk.
You start to chuckle, and Dave looks at you with confusion as you’re laughing at him. “What’s so funny?”
“You’re either a softie or a dumbass.”
“What?”
“I meant for you to grab your beard and hat,” You smile.
“Oh.”
Tumblr media
You and Dave finally make your way out of the small storage closet, acting like nothing had happened moments ago, acting like you just walked in the doors.
“You ready?” You ask.
“Are you going to see me later tonight?”
“Is that an invitation?”
“Yes,” Dave smirks, but you can't see it underneath his fake white beard.
“Then yes, I will see you tonight.”
Dave nods and takes a breath as leathered-covered hands are on the doors. In one push, he bellows a “Ho, Ho, Ho from his lips, which sends the kids screaming in excitement as they watch their favorite person walk into the room, waving and making them smile from ear to ear.
While you slipped inside the venue looking for a cup of water. Your throat had seemed dry after screaming Dave’s name so many times. Seeing the drinks table having water bottles, you take one, tearing the cap off as you watch the kids be joyful as they watch Santa/Dave wave at them.
Carol had come up next to you with a smile on her face; you returned a smile at her. “Thank you so much for helping him; these parents were ready to pounce on me if Dave didn't come sooner.”
You couldn't relate to wanting Dave to “come sooner.”
“Anytime, trust me, Dave can be real stubborn.”
“I’m aware. Try being married to him,” Carol jokes; you can’t help but laugh.
“Are you coming over for dinner tomorrow night?”
You shrug. “I don't know, I would have to ask—”
“I already asked; she said yes, and the girls are so excited to play with the kids again. I swear our families have some fun history.”
“You don't know the half of it,” You smile, taking a swig of your water.
“C’mon, It’ll be fun!” Carol smiled. As you thought about it, your wife and Carol could be distracted while the kids play together, giving you and Dave the free will to do what you both do when they’re not home.
“Fine, you’re right, it’ll be fun.”
Carol was overzealous, clapping her hands and lightly hopping. “Okay, you don't need to bring anything, just yourselves; maybe a bottle will be fine, but no gifts.”
“No gifts,” You repeated. “Understood.”
“Now I got to make sure these kids end up in a straight line so they can tell Santa what they want for Christmas, Excuse me,” Carol excused herself.
Your gaze had landed back on Dave, sitting on the red and gold-like throne only reserved for Santa. You could tell he was staring at you and Carol, conversing with each other. You lick your lips, wink at Santa, and mouth the words. “Dinner at your house.”
You didn't know what dinner had planned, but overall, you knew that it would end with you and Dave alone together.

🌙 𝓗𝓸𝓬𝓾𝓼 𝓹𝓸𝓬𝓾𝓼 🐈‍⬛
Chris x reader
“Oh come on, it’s just a bunch of hocus pocus.”
Chapter 3
Tumblr media
All the candles in the house light themselves. The fire under the cauldron comes up and knocks the group back. Everyone quickly hides as voices can be heard from outside. Dani hides behind the counter all alone, Matt and nick hidden behind the doors, and y/n and Chris behind the podium that held Winnifred’s book of spells.
all of Suddenly the doors burst open, and the Sanderson sisters enter well laughing maniacally.
“We’re home. Oh, sweet revenge. Do you see, sisters, my curse worked perfectly.” Winifred boosted, entering the home she hadn’t seen in ages.
“Oh, that’s because thou art perfect, Winnie. Oh, I knew I left this cauldron on, didn’t I tell you? Oh, I knew it.” Mary said.
Y/n couldn’t believe it. She had really just sumed 300 year old witches just by lighting a candle. She looked over at Chris. “Your parents didn’t put anything in that cider right? Like we’re not hallucinating? And the Sanderson sisters are really here?” She whisper yelled, looking at Chris.
He nodded slowly, his eyes wide as he watched the sisters explore there home. “Yeah..I’m seeing this.” He confirmed.
Sarah reached up behind a piller and brings down a rat tail. “My lucky rat tail! Right where I left it!”
“But who lit the black flame candle?” Winifred asked, but her attention was quickly focused on something else. She made her way over to the book that was on display. “Wake up! Wake up, sleepy head. Oh, I’ve missed you. Did you miss me too? Come on now, we’ve got work to do.” She said.
Y/n held her breath as she tried to be as quiet as possible so the witch didn’t notice her. She looked over at Chris who seemed to be as still as her. The two shared a look of fear.
“Winnie?” Mary asked.
“Yes?”
“I smell children.”
The teens and Dani’s eyes went wide with concern. There bodies full of nerves as they were almost paralyzed with fear.
“Sick ‘em.” Winifred instructed her sister, as if she was a dog.
Mary began sniffing as if she was a blood hound trying to find its next meal. “It’s a little girl. Seven, maybe eight and half.” Mary said.
Y/n’s heart beat quicken as the witches tried to sniff out her little sister. She looked over at Chris. “My mom is gonna kill me…this is like the one thing I wasn’t supposed to do..” she said.
Chris reached over and put a hand on y/n’s shoulder to try and calm her down. “We’re not gonna let anything happen to her okay?” He whispered, trying re assure y/n, even though he himself wasn’t even sure they were gonna make it out of there.
She looked as Chris, trying to keep her composure. She couldn’t ignore the way her heart started to beat faster when his hand was on to of hers.
“Oh, let’s play with her.” Sarah began to sing, but Winifred claps a hand over her mouth.
The sisters move over to the counter, behind which, Dani is hiding.
“Come out, my dear. We will not harm thee.” Winifred said.
“We love children!” Mary exclaimed.
She slammed her hand down on the counter and Dani pops up. The sisters are taken aback by her witch like appearance.
“I thought thou’d never come, sisters.” Dani said, acting like she was a witch too, which honestly wasn’t a bad idea. Y/n had to give her some props for thinking of that one on the fly.
“Greetings, little one.” Winifred said.
“‘Twas I who brought you back.” Dani announced proudly.
“Imagine, such a pretty little…” Winifred had trouble getting out the word ‘pretty’. “child.” She finished, swallowing.
“And she’s so well fed isn’t she.” Mary began to poke at Dani. “Plump. Shish-k-baby.”
Winifred took Dani’s hand, the sight of this made y/n’s blood boil. “Tell me, dumpling, what is the year?”
“1993.” Dani answered.
Winifred pushes Dani into a chair. “Sisters, we have been gone 300 years.”
“Well, Winnie, how time flies…” mary said.
“When you’re dead.” Sarah finishes. The sisters all laugh and Dani joins them. But they stop after a minute and look at her.
“It’s been great fun, but I guess I better be going.” Dani said, trying to get up, but Winifred set her right back down.
“Oh, stay for supper.” Mary said, trying to convince Dani to stay.
“Oh, I’m not hungry.” Dani said, shaking her head.
“But we are!” Mary yelled.
The sisters begin to struggle to keep Dani in the seat. Y/n decided that was the final straw and got up from her hiding spot, jumping in action to save her little sister.
“Hey! Let go of my little sister.” Y/n shouted, attempting to save her little sister.
“Roast her, Winnie.” Mary demanded.
Before Winnie could hit y/n with a jolt of electric energy, Chris stepped in, putting himself in front of y/n so she could avoid the shock. Chris groaned as he felt jolts of electricity that held him against the wall and off the ground.
“ You, there! I haven’t lost my touch sisters!” Whinne boasted as she held Chris against the wall. Y/n looked up in horror as Chris was being tormented by whinne.
“Chris!” Matt yelled, shooting up from his spot along with Nick.
“Mary!” Nick shouted, getting the sisters attention.
“Well hello!” Mary said, turning to the boy, Nick knocked Mary down.
“Don’t! You leave my him alone!!” Dani hit Winifred with her candy bag and Winifred goes down. Chris is is released from the wall. The black cat from earlier attacks Winifred.
“Sister Sarah, get this beast off of me!” Winifred shouted, struggling to get the cat off of her.
“Go, get out!” Chris shouted at the rest of the crew, but there was no way y/n was leaving Chris alone like this. “Nick, Matt, get Dani out!” She said, wanting to protect her sister from the sisters.
Dani, Matt and Nick run out of the house. Chris looked at y/n and grabbed her hand. They climbed up to the second floor. Chris looked at y/n “still got that lighter?” He asked her. She nodded, taking it out of her jeans pocket and handing it to him. They both looked down at the sisters.
“You have messed with the great and powerful, Chris, and now must suffer the consequences. I summon the burning rain of death.” Chris announced.
“Burning rain of death?” The sisters asked.
Chris flips open the lighter, the flame burning now , memorizing the sisters.
“He makes fire in his hands…” Winifred gasped.
Chris held the flame under one of the sprinklers and suddenly the sprinklers go off. The sisters run for cover.
“Oh, oh…the burning rain of death! Come on you idiots! Get to shelter! Come on, you fools!” Winifred shrieked, all her sisters running for cover to where the water wouldn’t get them.
Chris and y/n started to make a run for it, but Chris slipped on some water, landing flat on his back. The black cat jumps on his chest.
“Nice going, Chris.”
Chris’s eyes widened as he heard a voice come from the animals mouth. “You can talk!”
“Yeah, no kidding. Now get the spell book! Come on! Move it!” Binx demanded
Chris got up and looked at y/n. “I’ll get the book, you get out of here okay?” He said to her. The rain from the sprinklers were drenching them both.
She nodded. “Be quick!” She told him, then booked it out the door.
Chris went over and grabbed sometime heavy to smash the glass. It shattered all around. Chris grabbed the book and lifts it out, putting it under his arm as he made a run for it.
“My book!” Winifred yelled. She tried to get to it, but Mary and Sarah held her back. “He took my book! The book!”

If I Should Stay
Part 1 | . . . | Part 51 | Part 52 | Part 53
“You wish,” Steve teases, then looks wide-eyed at Robin. “What about all the pictures we have?”
“We’ll take new ones,” she assures him, then grins. “And hey, maybe Starcourt will be built, without the Russian base underneath.”
Steve hums. “Maybe then I could avoid one of the concussions from Billy.”
Robin freezes suddenly. “Steve,” she says, “is it a good idea for the party to meet Max? Because of the first concussion from Billy? That wasn’t Upside Down related, was it?”
Steve grimaces. “He’d been Flayed at that point, yeah. Even if he is a racist asshole, I can’t imagine him coming after us like that again.”
Robin hums. “But if he does-”
“Tell me,” Eddie says suddenly, “does he like Mary Jane? Because I can make sure he never sees her again if he goes after Steve.”
Robin blinks at him, then begins to grin. “Sorry, Stevie, Eddie’s my new favorite.”
Eddie laughs and fist-bumps her. “Likewise, Birdie.”
“Hey!” Steve says, faux-affronted. It’s ruined by the grin he can’t hide.
El pokes gently at Steve’s arm, then the waffle iron when he looks at her. “It’s done.”
“Ah,” he says, opening it. “Thank you, Ellie. Mind getting me a plate?” He grins at her. “Without grabbing it?”
El grins. Without moving, she opens a cabinet, floats a plate out to Steve, then shuts the cabinet again. She wipes underneath her nose, then grins at Steve. “No blood!”
“That’s great!” He celebrates with her, offering her a high-five. “You think you’re ready?”
“I’m still scared,” she tells him. “But yes. I do.”
“Y’know something else?” Steve asks. “Vecna needed four more years to be strong enough to do what he did. You needed two more days. I think you’re much stronger than he is right now.”
“Speaking of the big bad,” Eddie interjects, nibbling on a corner of his waffle, “shouldn’t we go over the plan?”
Steve sighs. “Probably,” he agrees.
“I think we should wait for everyone,” Alli says. “Let’s just have as normal a morning as we can for right now.”
Steve smiles at his sister. “Sure, Al,” he says, then rolls his eyes when she pulls him into a hug and ruffles his hair.
“Love you, Bubba,” she murmurs into his ear, and he can’t help but to melt into her hug.
“Love you too, Al,” he murmurs back, then grins at her. “How about grilled cheese when we all make it outta this intact?”
“I think that sounds like an excellent idea,” she nods, then steps away. “I’m gonna call Cass. Come and get me when everyone’s here?”
“Will do,” he nods, and she smiles in response as she walks off.
Eddie pulls his feet up onto the counter he’s sitting on, looping his arms around his knees. “So, Cassidy is Alli’s-?”
“Girlfriend,” Steve nods. He takes another waffle out of the iron and scrapes the last of the batter into it. “It makes me wonder how I would’ve ended up, if I had her the entire time, y’know? Cause I know I was an asshole. And I’m trying not to be anymore.”
“You’re succeeding,” both Robin and Eddie say at the same time, then excitedly point at each other.
Steve laughs and shakes his head. “Thanks. But I wonder, if I’d had her the entire time, would I have ever gotten as bad as I did? Would I have ever worked at Scoops or Family Video and met you, Robin? Would any of his have ever happened in the first place?”
He only notices his hand is shaking when Robin gently takes his fork and puts it down, then grabs both his hands in hers. “Squeeze,” she requests, and he does, letting out a harsh breath and resting their foreheads together.
“Sorry,” he mutters.
“Shuddup,” Robin says. He laughs.
After a few seconds, he pulls away to look at her. “Am I being crazy?”
“I think you’re being exactly as sane as taking this mission in the first place makes either of us, Dingus, I don’t think either of us were all there in the first place.”
Steve giggles. “I think you may be right.”
“Maybe you would’ve been different,” Eddie says. He’s taking the last waffle out of the iron. “Maybe you wouldn’t have. Maybe all of this would’ve happened, and maybe it wouldn’t have. Maybes aren’t gonna change anything that’s currently happening. All we can do is our best to get through it.”
El slips between Steve and Robin and wraps her arms around Steve’s waist. “I can do things you can’t,” she says quietly. “But I can’t see the future. I don’t know what could’ve happened. But I know I’m glad that you’re here now.”
Steve sighs contentedly and wraps her in his arms. “Me too.”

Wales Comic Con (Part Two)
This may be the second and last, unless something else occurs to me and I go "Oh damn I forgot about this." As it is, I'm impressed at my ability to torture myself and endure listening to Danneel's awful, awful voice. Can someone please tell her to get vocal lessons?
(Part One is here.)
youtube
First, a shout out to my daughter for her input and helping me know where to look for anything of note! So... her thoughts are in green, mine are in red.
First 29 minutes, Danneel demeans Jensen 7 times. Interrupts him 3. Jensen is praised only for his looks 2 times.
- 1:40 Mark’s greeting to the audience is hilarious.
- 2:58 The whole time Danneel is talking, Jensen is barely looking at her.
- 3:44 Jensen realizes just how HIGH the auditorium is and hears someone shout something like “Love you Jensen!” And he goes “I love you too.” He also takes the time to be appreciative that Kurt got invited to the convention.
- 6:20 Jensen is asked about which deaths was the hardest, and he definitely quipped that Dean’s hit him the hardest. Then it was cleared up: Which of Dean’s deaths hit him the hardest? He jokes “Death by taco.” (Mystery Spot!) As Jensen is explaining this to Kurt, Danneel… does not look happy. She’s just stone-faced. Oh she smiles here and there, but she’s not liking the spotlight off her. And I cracked up when Samantha starts pretending to throw a fit because, hi, Mary’s death?! Jensen laughs and points out “Let’s go with the one that jumpstarted the whole show!”
- 8:40 Ah. The lives’ question! Which life would the cast want—Sam’s or Dean’s? Danneel picks Sam. Jensen is surprised! Mark jokes “This is going to be a fun weekend!” Jensen: “Do tell.” Danneel explains that Sam is the nicest guy! Jensen: “I mean she’s not wrong.” A fan tries to cover Danneel’s ass by saying it’s because she would get to hang out with Jensen/Dean all the time. Danneel tried to pretend to agree by saying “Didn’t I say that?” No, no you didn’t.
- 9:53 Kurt’s answer. He started… uh, okay. He started by saying he’s hated Jensen in the past. Goes on about Jensen’s hair, about how it’s the best hair he’s ever seen in his life. Oh dear. Jensen’s… definitely uncomfortable. Then says something about Jensen’s jaw. The audience is howling. Kurt tells them to calm down. Danneel’s smug now. I can’t quite catch what Jensen’s saying, but it sounded like he owed Kurt for the compliment, thus comes out Danneel’s “I already paid him.”
- 11:40 (Danneel looks bored here. My gods.) DJ’s answer about being Ellen made me laugh. “She works at a bar!” Samantha looked like she had a laugh out of that. Then Jensen’s joke to Kurt about cushiest schedule.
- 11:57 Jensen’s joke to Kurt about cushiest schedule. Danneel interrupts about “Oh so you wanted to be Sister Jo!” Jensen’s laugh did not sound authentic here. Danneel didn’t like it, judging from how she kept shoving at his shoulder and he refused to look at her. DJ is fidgety and uncomfortable here. Hmm. Jensen’s answer: “Two people—Rowena or Crowley.” He feels they’re so interesting. Being bad but playing for the good guys. And he threw in Soldier Boy, haha! “See what I did there? I wove that back to me, somehow!” More bored Danneel looks. MY GOD WOMAN, it’s your HUSBAND.
- 14:00 As Kurt and Mark are talking about characters, Danneel pulls this “God I’m bored” look. I wanna shake her. Kurt also picked Crowley. Mark loved it!
- 15:17 Mark talks about being Crowley, then points to Jensen about a conversation of sorts they had on a plane once. He talks about how to love Supernatural is to love the Winchester brothers. There was no way around that. YES! Thank you, Mark! (Also his story about his poor stunt double had me laughing.)
- 18:00 Samantha’s answer, haha! “I would like to have been God.”
- 18:20 Ah. Danneel’s bullshit answer about auditioning for any female role. We know you lied, woman! Stop it! Oof. Jensen’s like “Uhm. Yeah.” Hiding his face, hiding his expression. He’s leaning away from her. (Ohh. Samantha intrigues me. She’s all “But it was the perfect role for you.” She’s not sincere. Nope.)
- 19:14 Ah. Danneel’s thing about working with a great actor. Jensen was trying for modesty “Okay, all right!” Then she shoots out with “Mark Pellegrino.” Jensen’s smile is forced and he isn’t looking at her. That stung. And she laughs, patting him hard on the shoulder. Well, a pat/shove and Jensen’s refusing to look at her. Jensen plays off her comment by saying “See, I did you a favor.” In regards to her not getting any role until Sister Jo. He plays along with her lie. Oh Jensen…. He made that dig about himself. And she doesn’t reassure him. Not one bit.
- 20:00 Oh! The supernatural question. Good lord, DJ went off on a spiel. I’m… intrigued. Is he hyper?
- 21:25 Jensen has this “Oh god.” Danneel is smug and amused. Uh oh. I think they’re about to go into the haunted mansion thing again. Yep. I was right. And Danneel keeps interrupting him. Good lord woman, let him talk.Jensen is more practical. (Ditto.) Apparently Danneel will believe anything and everything. That’s… not a good thing, actually. Also, DJ, stop kissing her ass.
- 23:47 Did she… yep. Danneel turned a divining rod into a sexual innuendo. Jensen just keeps avoiding looking at her. She tries to correct herself and just keeps making it worse. Again, she keeps shoving at Jensen’s shoulder. What is with her and that? Mark tries to interrupt about how it’s 15 years of conditioning regarding Jensen. He hears about something haunted and his first thought is to go to the trunk of the car to deal with it.
- 24:45 Ah. The basement story. Danneel interrupts him again—stop doing that and let him talk! And he’s plenty fun—watch him with Jared!First, I wanna know—what’s in the basement that they didn’t have room for in that gigantic house? I mean, seriously. Unless that’s where he’s been living, separate from the rest of the family. It is big enough…. Andddd…. She interrupts him again. Sure, sure, people life, but he’s exasperated by it. He manages to finish the story and yeah, it’s funny.
- 26:13 Ugh. Kurt. No. They’re not cute. Sigh.
- 31:10 HAHA! A fan had a question for Jensen and Mark playfully throws his arms in the air. I’m not 100% sure what the question was—sounded like it was about languages. Jensen quipped he was glad it was mainly Jared who had to do Latin, Sign Language, Lucifer, Soulless, “give it to the big kid”. Haha. “He’s such a nerd.” Ha! Jared or Sam, Jensen? Oh! Jared took Latin in school?! That’s cool! Jensen notes the writers must’ve found out and kept giving more of it to Jared. Jensen said it made him appreciate Jared’s skillset more. Then they segued into DJ and Jensen having to tap dance and the story is making me laugh!
- 35:35 Okay. Now I see why my daughter is critical. But I also understand. Sign language is hard. I grew up with it; I’m fluent in it. I was tested once and was measured at Advanced Intermediate, which is almost natural fluency. (It was for an interpreter job; I had to be certified at language level.) And even then I still don’t know all the signs! I’d have to ask my uncle—who is deaf—and go “What sign is for this word?” So I get it. It’s not easy.
- 38:26 Okay. Stop. I have to say this. Why is Danneel there?! She was in 5 episodes, admitted she didn’t watch the show at all (she lied about knowing Castiel’s lines, etc, for cryin’ out loud!), and so all she can do is just sit there, keep wiggling that damned foot of her, fuss with her fake-ass hair, and nod, as if she knew anything at all!
- 38:59 Okay. I’m cackling at how DJ goes “Don’t make up answers. They already know it!”
- 40:11 Right there, Danneel touches Jensen’s knee. He actually purposefully moves away. Interesting….
- 40:23 Mark: “I remember you singing ‘I’m too sexy for my shirt’. That was phenomenal.” Jensen: “I’ve washed that from my mind.” Haha! And yes, Mark is right. If you hear “Carry On”… something awesome is about to happen.
- 42:10 Last fan question. For Jensen. Mark and Kurt threw their hands in the air. I’m sorry, I laughed. It’s about what it was like switching from Dean to Soldier Boy. We know this is a fib answer. Jensen begins about how Kripke told him to not to do Dean. Jensen’s flabbergasted, because, yeah, he’s spent 15 years being Dean. And I love how he just plays Kripke going, flippantly, “Yeah. Pretty much.” on dropping Dean.
- 43:40 I had to make a separate time stamp for this. Jensen was trying to give a compliment to Danneel (why? She doesn’t deserve it) and Danneel barks into the microphone: “Water!” As though pretending to be Jensen being ‘Dean’ at home. Then she ‘cutely’ adds: “Go get your own water!” Jensen looks away, completely. Jensen: “No, that’s just me acting like an actor.” Yeah, he laughs… but that’s not a real laugh, not the way he gets with Jared or even JDM. It’s not funny at all. And I don’t buy Danneel “helped” him at all. Maybe record, as someone had to hold the damned camera, but it was Kripke who critiqued. Not Danneel. She can’t act her way out of a paper bag.
- 44:00 Kripke giving him the compliment as not seeing Dean in Soldier Boy.
- 45:00 Here Jensen actually asked Mark, Sam, and Kurt their process on being different characters. Kurt follows with an excellent compliment for Jensen about how he was always excellent, always cared, which was a part of the reason why the show lasted so long. Jensen’s deeply moved by this. I’m just in my feels here, y’all.
- 46:58 Now Mark’s compliment. “The lack of self-aggrandizement is—is empirical. It’s absolute. If you want to tell a story, which you do, which all of you do. I’ve watched all of you work. You want to tell a story, that supersedes ‘I want to look cool’. ‘I want to look cool’ is where you go back to the same. It’s when you go ‘how do I go tell the story’ and when that question just goes ‘how do I tell the story ‘that everything changes. And that’s down to the writing and down to the want and the love of the story and the love of what you want to convey. And I’ve been so lucky in my career that I’ve had so many things been given to me and or even written for me which is mind-blowing to me. Going ‘oh my god what do they want from me’ and I know Soldier Boy is like that for you because I’ve watched it. And there’s nary a spot of Dean in that. There’s no… it’s new. It’s something. It’s different. It’s a fully fledged character. And that’s what I expect from you anyway. You know what I mean? It’s what I expect from you. Because you want to tell the story. You know? That’s what I think difference is between the stuff that we like as fans—it’s made with passion, it’s made with love, it’s made with heart. It’s doesn’t always succeed. It isn’t always brilliant. But it’s made with an honesty to itself. As long as we honor that honesty to itself then we as fans, we as lovers, we can truly embrace it and go yeah, there’s something there for me. And that’s the greatest gift we get.” Jensen is truly honored by the compliment. It’s obvious. He doesn’t get compliments a lot at all… damn.
- Danneel is enjoying the attention she receives until 2:42 when Jensen is greeting the fans. She is side-eyeing him with extreme animosity as though he just sole away her spotlight.
- 5:08 Bobby’s death; Danneel interrupts when Jensen starts to answer.
- 9:29 Kurt begins to uplift and praise Jensen… but only for his looks. (???) This causes extreme discomfort for Jensen.
- 9:40 Danneel responds with a dig: “I already paid him.”
- 10:55 Danneel demeans Jensen after he asks “Do we pick characters on how interesting they are or characters who have the cushiest schedule on the planet?” and in doing so, she smacks his shoulder and laughs, “I’m kidding!”
-11:18 Just as Jensen states that he would rather play Rowena or Crowley, Danneel makes a less than pleased expression. Kurt is confused because—Jensen is “The Pretty Boy”. He can’t be “Interesting”. Mark is understanding and DJ is maintaining at least some modicum of professional intrigue.
-12: 04 Finally a dig at Danneel, a way of lightly defending himself in the form of playful banter. There is, unfortunately, a knowing look from DJ.
- 17:17 “I would have done any female role on Supernatural”. --Jensen is mentally calling her a liar while she is putting him down in front of an entire audience. Jensen is looking down in shame and astonishment at the hubris.
- 18:15 “I got to work with a great actor”—proceeds to embarrass Jensen again.
- 21:23 After Jensen discussed the possibility of there being something supernatural or beyond our understanding, Danneel proceeds to interject with her take in a more competitive tune. DJ kisses her ass. The two tell the haunted house story at 21:53.
- 23:13 Danneel demeans him.
- 24:41 “Must have been the air conditioning.” Demeans him.
- 33:04 Jensen critical: Lacks the capability to empathized or acknowledge that ASL may be vital as an actor for long term career path. (Note from Raye: This is my daughter's thoughts. Not mine. Respect it.)
- 42:30 Danneel would have to tell me (Jensen) to stop playing Dean at home… Jensen proceeds to rock back and forth apprehensively as Danneel makes fun of him in what again is a demeaning behavior in the form of witty banter.
-45: 35 Jensen’s acting is finally encouraged and praised by Kurt, and Mark, as opposed to his looks.
--
I... honestly, y'all? I don't see the chemistry. The banter? Nope. That's not bantering. Maybe a touch of it toward the end when she actually isn't putting him down. And I know I'm not the only one who saw it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not one compliment. Not from his "wife". It had to come from Mark, who praised him beautifully, at the end.
This was Comic Con Wales, 2024.

Why didn't you tell us?
Tumblr media
PARING: Dean Winchester/Sister!Reader/Sam Winchester
WARNINGS: Language, Blood, Past Abuse, Threats To Kill Someone, r@pe,
SUMMARY: Y/N Winchester is the oldest out of Dean and Sam, so that means she took all of the abuse. When she heard about John's death, she was happy that she was free. But what happens when she gets home to the bunker and sees someone that she never wanted to see again?
(Also, I'm going to change the story line where Mary left John and Y/N was left to take care of Sam and Dean.)
Y/N, just got in the bunker after a vampire hunt. walking down the stairs when she heard muffled talking. She stopped and listened, but she couldn't make out the voices, so she went the rest of the way down the stairs, and when she looked, she went pale.
"John." Y/N said it coldly and with a bitter voice. John, Sam, and Dean all looked at Y/N and took in her appearance. She had blood all over her and had her duffel bag over her shoulder; she looked like she had seen a ghost; her hair was matted down and messy; even with it in a messy ponytail, she looked like a mess.
"Y/N, honey, how are you?" John asked, "Sam, Dean, what is John doing here?" Y/n asked with a bitter, cold tone, not even looking at them as she asked her question, "Y/n h-." "Boys, get the keys to Baby and drive to a bar or something. I want to talk to John alone."
Y/N cut Dean off Sam, and Dean looked at each other and just headed towards their rooms like they were little kids that just got punished. "Why are you here? Why, after everything you put me through?" "I wanted to apologize." Y/N chuckled bitterly.
"Apologies? Well, it's a little too late for that, John. You abused me! my whole childhood, and I allowed it because I was scared of you hurting the boys! Oh, and let's not forget about the many times you raped me! All because Mary FUCKING LEFT!" "I did that because you didn't listen to me! So I thought that was the best way for you to listen." "I WAS A KID! A FUCKING KID, John! I WASN'T LISTENING BECAUSE I WAS SO YOUNG! I was nine. Nine, and taking care of you. Taking care of all of us. I was in fourth grade, dragging your ass out of the yard. So you wouldn't freeze to death. I stayed up all night with Sam and Dean when they had chicken pocks. I washed Sam's and Dean's shitty diapers. I picked lice out of Dean and Sam's hair. And I was here when Sam and Dean got their first heartbreak—not Mary, but me." What John and I didn't know was that Sam and Dean were hiding behind the wall, listening to us.
"And never you; you were too fucking loaded." I had tears in my eyes, and John just looked ashamed. "Just get out, John. I've had enough of you're shit." "No." I turn around, looking at John with a death glare.
"What the fuck did you just say?" "I said no, Y/N." I chuckled, "GET THE FUCK OUT BEFORE I KILL YOU, John Winchester!" This time he listened and started walking to the stairs, which I followed.
"Oh, and John." He turned around and looked at me. "If I ever, and I mean ever, see you anywhere near this damn Bunker or near Sam and Dean, I will make you beg for death. Understand?" John nodded his head with fear in his eyes. Then he ran up the stairs and out the door.
I just sighed and went into the library with my hands on the table. I let out a sob, but quickly covered my mouth with my hand. But then I heard a rustle, like someone was moving. I knew that. It was Sam and Dean. "Guys, you can come out. What are we? Five?" I asked with sarcasm in my voice.
They come out and rush to my side. When they saw that I was collapsing to the ground, they caught me just before my knees could touch the ground. while I was sobbing loudly. They started whispering in my ear that everything would be okay. But I knew nothing would be okay.
"Why didn't you tell us, Y/N?" Sam asked, "Because you guys shouldn't have to know what I go through." They just hugged me for the rest of the night. We ate snacks and watched movies. While we all cuddled.

My 8x06 Thoughts
This won't be a summary, because I just have a lot of feelings of this episode. Even now I'm still kinda laughing.
SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!
I want to start with Eddie, because I had been so excited for his storyline this episode.
The confession with Eddie and Father Brian (we finally got his name) was still so heartbreaking to watch, even though the sneak peek we had gotten yesterday had showed us most of that scene. Eddie saying "That's it?" when Father Brian gave the amount of Hail Marys and such that he had to do... Oh that hurt. Him basically running out of the confessional booth because he doesn't think he deserves forgiveness also hurt.
I do think it's funny that Father Brian and Eddie managed to bump into each other at the juice bar and that Father Brian was like "I'm going to ignore the fact that confession is supposed to be anonymous and confidential."
But anyways, Father Brian's correct assumptions that Eddie's mustache is a disguise and that Eddie is still punishing him were good. I really like his speech about how God has forgiven Eddie. And I love that he still let Eddie set his pace, to deal with his own feelings of needing to be punished while also telling Eddie that he can't punish himself forever. Eddie eventually has to forgive himself and let himself be happy.
And while we didn't see Eddie doing what he had been told by Father Brian to do to atone for his sins, we did see the aftermath. We saw Eddie shave off the mustache (though I do think it's weird that he did it with no shaving cream) and then we see Eddie in just a shirt (same color shirt as the shirt he wore to the bachelor party in the previous season) and his underwear.
The song of choice that they used during the scene where he's just having a dance fest was so funny, but I don't think I could tell you why it's funny because it's something that you just have to know why it's funny. Anyways, I loved seeing Eddie so care-free after he spent so long punishing himself was honestly so good, I was vining with it.
Now, onto the Madney of it all.
Maddie saying "Maybe we should give Jee a sister or brother" during dinner and being so casual about it, was lowkey funny. Of course Chimney had his reservations, because of Maddie's postpartum depression after she had Jee. They both had good arguments and I'm glad Chimney realized that it shouldn't stop them from trying again.
And turns out, Maddie is already pregnant!! I'm so excited for them!
Maddie really hit the nail on the head when she said that they shouldn't go into this pregnancy thinking Maddie is just a bomb waiting to go off of. Because that can have negative effects on the environment they're raising the baby in and it's just not good for anyone, least of all Maddie.
I saved Buck's storyline for the last because God, the reason for his spiraling made me cackle.
His and Tommy's six month anniversary dinner being ruined (in only Buck's eyes) by Tommy saying that he almost married Abby was funny only because I couldn't believe everyone who said that not only Tommy would have a past with marriage (or an almost marriage) but also that the writers would have Tommy by Abby's Tommy. I just had to laugh at that, couldn't help it.
Buck's conversation with Josh and Maddie was nice. I did like how Josh said there was obviously a difference between Tommy's experience as a gay man and Buck's experience as a bisexual man, since they realized their sexual awakenings at different times when the acceptance of LGBT+ people was different.
I did disagree a little bit about Josh saying that you can't judge Tommy for what he did in the past while still hiding himself, but whatever.
(Side note: I loved the reappearance of the running joke of Buck not knowing pop culture in the form of Buck having never seen Glee.)
The loft scene where Buck reveals to Tommy that he was the "Himbo" who dated Abby after Tommy broke up with her was a whirlwind.
Like they went from Tommy learning that they shared exes, to Buck telling him to move in. Which I also had to laugh at, because it reminded me of the original BT. Like Buck just was going to rush into moving in with Tommy.
And then Tommy is breaking up with Buck in the most vague way where Tommy goes to leave and Buck has to ask if they just broke up. That's so wild to me, it was the vague breakup.
The last thing that happened, right after Eddie's little dance, was Buck going to Eddie (after the breakup) and the episode ends with them sitting on the couch and drinking. Like I just love that the first person Buck thought of to go for comfort was Eddie and the way Eddie not only didn't bother to put on pants, but he also didn't need Buck to tell him what happened.
Overall, I liked the episode. It was a better episode than I was expecting, because I had gone with lowered expectations. I can't wait to see what happens next for the firefam.

hero & mari's friendship has so many more layers than people typically consider, and it's genuinely so painful to think about.
to begin, they're both people pleasers, determined to impress everyone and act as role models to the younger kids. they settle for nothing less than perfection, mari practicing her piano for countless hours on end, hero earning solely first place awards. they both feel the pressure of everyone's expectations, of knowing that they're obligated to go above and beyond, to do more and more to impress. but nothing is ever enough, not when those expectations just get higher and higher the more they strive to meet them, so it builds up to the point where they can only feel satisfied achieving flawlessness. but flawlessness isn't possible, not when there's always something else to criticise, something that could have been better. they're both placed on pedestals because that's where they want to be, they need to be. they take it upon themselves to be perfect, so perfect is how they appear.
mari is gentle, caring, funny, wise. she offers bountiless good advice at only the cost of your love-- because she needs love, needs the validation that she's doing well or else her efforts will have all been for nothing. she's the perfect older sister, looking out for her little brother and protecting him where necessary. she's the perfect musician, dedicated and quick-fingered, composing masterpieces at the age of fifteen. she's the perfect student, spending hours after school studying to ensure that she does the best she can in her exams.
hero is compassionate, talented, charming, helpful. he offers assistance to anyone, all they have to do is ask-- because he can't say no, not when that would be letting people down. he's the perfect older brother, joking around with kel, setting a good example, keeping him out of trouble. he's the perfect hobbyist, taking an interest in cooking, each meal as good as the last as he puts his all into making them delicious. he's the perfect student, incredibly hard-working and doing his parents proud.
in the real world, hero and mari don't seem to have many friends. they spend all of their time in the group of six. they feature in the vast majority of the photo album's photos, and are often implied to be together in the scenes neither of them feature in. hero isn't particularly close to anyone when he returns to faraway, not seeking out anybody his own age to catch up with. when mari dies, it's sunny, kel, aubrey, basil and hero who are affected deeply.
but they have each other. they talk together, have fun together, work hard together. they understand each other in a way no-one else does, because they're in the same position.
hero isn't just "mari's malewife". mari isn't just "hero's girlfriend". their relationship goes so much deeper than just an implied romantic connection, because in the whole world, these two lean on each other the most. they're both older siblings. they're both straight a students. they're both masters at what they love. they're both the pride and joy of their parents. they're the same in so many ways, and that means they can trust each other.
hero and mari grow up together, and they grow up always trying to impress people. always avoiding disappointing them. they bottle everything up and hide it under warm smiles because they have to be perfect. they can't be anything less, or else they risk losing the images they've worked so hard to build, the images they can't afford to lose. not now, not ever.
they can't tell anyone about their struggles. about how hard a perpetual state of perfection is to preserve. about the crushing weight of expectations that never leaves their shoulders. about the endless responsibilities seizing hold of them in a vice grip, and their own steadfast refusal to burden anyone with their "problems". they're not supposed to have problems. they're supposed to be perfect.
they can't tell anyone, except for each other.
so that's who they go to. they each know the other inside out, know every intricacy and detail of their trains of thought, because their minds work in the same way. they're able to connect, to provide those pillars of support they can't get anywhere else, because they've always been a shoulder for someone else to lean on with no wall behind them to catch any falls caused by the weight.
they listen to each other. there's no judgement, no fear of disappointment. only the burning need to let out the fears plaguing their minds, to be allowed to feel bad, to have someone that won't be disappointed or shocked about their problems. they're teenagers with what feels like the weight of the world atop them, but together, they're able to share the burden.
looking at the other is like staring into a half-faded reflection, because hero and mari are both broken mirrors showing only the images people want to see. the cracks are hidden by their light, any imperfections masked and obscured by the awe brought forth via their achievements. but hero sees mari's silently shattered shards, and mari sees hero's. and they're always, always there for each other to slowly start mending the cracks.
and then mari "kills herself". and hero's left alone.
there's always been an unspoken vow between them, a promise that they'd support each other no matter what. that they could trust each other with anything. and hero stares up at a limp, lifeless corpse, and he doesn't know why mari couldn't trust him with this.
the worst part is, he knew there could have been signs, because he knows mari's endless cheerfulness isn't all genuine. he knows she gets irritable when she doesn't achieve flawlessness. he knows she won't let anyone else see her cry. he knows she's been battling the voices inside of her head for ages now.
but it's only in the months succeeding her death that he truly knows what depression feels like. for a while, there's only his suffocating devastation and grief, only the world-shattering fact that his best friend, his confidant, his pillar, is gone forever. and without her, he crumbles.
he goes to her funeral, and sees a never-ending array of black umbrellas on a cold, wet, miserable day. he holds no umbrella of his own. the water trickles into the unfeeling fabric of his black suit, sends shivers down his spine that should have forced him to react, plasters unbrushed hair to his forehead, mingles with the salty tears spilling down his cheeks. the sun shined brighter when she was here, and now that she's gone, he can only let the chill of the rain seep into his skin.
he returns home, and crawls into bed, into the empty embrace of heavy blankets and a darkness he wishes would consume him, and spends hours upon hours upon hours simply sobbing into his pillow. it seems impossible that she's gone. that the only person he could count on, the only person who understood him, the person he'd vowed to face the world with, the person he's relied on so heavily, is gone. gone forever. gone of her own volition, because she could see no reason to keep living.
hero wasn't reason enough. he wasn't good enough. he's tried so hard for so long not to let anyone down, but it's clear to him now that he's failed her. and that's his breaking point, when the half-sealed cracks all burst back apart. there's no point in trying anymore. there's no way to win. he can't fathom keeping up the picture of perfection without her.
mari wasn't the perfect older sister. she snapped at sunny when he got distracted during practice, brushed off aubrey when the girl offered to help out with the recital, spent her days too preoccupied to offer advice. she wasn't the perfect musician. she couldn't bear the thought of hitting even one wrong note, obsessing over the cursed piece she'd created even as it continuously refused to meet her sky-high standards. she wasn't the perfect student. she didn't even live beyond the start of freshman year.
hero's no longer the perfect older brother. he doesn't respond when kel tries to reach out to him, any words buried under the dirt covering a grave he slowly digs for himself over the next year. he's not the perfect hobbyist. he can't bring himself to so much as think of indulging in his passions, believes that he doesn't deserve to have nice things and no longer finds that spark of joy appear at the prospect of cooking. he's not the perfect student. he doesn't go to school over the next year, completely sectioned off from everyone else as he rots out of sight of the sun.
mari was gentle, caring, funny, wise. mari was stubborn, secretive, secluded, sensitive.
hero was compassionate, talented, charming, helpful. hero was silent, selfish, subordinate, spineless.
hero is all alone. mari is dead dead dead dead dead.
he finds himself following in her footsteps, and holds it all in. really, what else can he do? his only confidant is gone. he refuses to face a world without mari in it. he shouts at the one person who still sees him as someone to admire. he breaks down time and time and time again, a constant disappointment.
but he's seen how mari's death has affected his little brother. he knows how his own would, too. and he can't do that to kel. that would extinguish the one bit of light he has left. the sun may have shined brighter when mari was here, but with kel, some of its glow still remains.
so he gets up. he learns to try again. and this time, he does it all alone.
he reconnects with kel, as false as his efforts feel to himself. he tries not to think of how much better mari was at this, how much easier it had been to put on a grin with her in his life. he watches out for kel, notices when his smiles flicker just a little too much and offers to take him to gino's. perfect older sibling.
he takes up every extracurricular he can find, and brings home trophy upon trophy in each to demonstrate his capabilities. he works hard and learns fast, and is handed shiny plaques of silver and gold that indicate his mastery of skills he can't bring himself to truly enjoy. perfect hobbyist.
he makes up for the year of school he's missed by dedicating hours upon hours to studying. he passes with honours and goes to one of the best colleges he can find. he takes the course he's expected to, and pretends the sight of blood doesn't sicken him to his core. perfect student.
he upholds mari's legacy. he does everyone proud. it's a hollow sentiment.
throughout it all, he doesn't visit mari's grave once. he doesn't so much as mention her name, despite her haunting his every waking and sleeping thought. he misses her more than words can say, but he can't handle looking back on their memories. he claims he's doing just fine without her. he's a liar.
hero's always had a tendency to bottle things up, but after her death, that gets infinitely worse. he doesn't risk getting close to anyone, lest he fail them too. he closes himself off. people like him, people know him, but he doesn't have friends. not really. he's always been a little disliked, a little ostracised, a little different. he cares so much about how others perceive him, but the one group he's never managed to win over is those he was expected to be closest to. that was where both he and mari had struggled.
at least before, they'd had each other. now, hero makes it through the dull, monotonous cycle of his life by himself. he finishes high school, but moves onto college. he leaves behind faraway, but brings a huge piece of it with him. he tries to manage. he keeps it all hidden in neat little rows, fragile bottles on slanting shelves he does his very best to balance. he teeters precariously on the edge of a breakdown with every step he takes, but doesn't let anyone take notice. he wraps it all up under charming smiles and silken words. without the sun to guide him, he fades into the shadows as easily as he breathes. he's just another student, nothing particularly special about him, and while it's different and strange, it's in plenty of ways relieving. average people don't let anyone down. now it's only his parents he still has to impress. he pretends to be happy, and ignores the ghost he seems to be following every footstep of.
hero's alone, but it's better that way. mari died because he wasn't good enough to save her. he won't let anyone else down. never again.
he hopes mari would be proud of him. (he knows she'd hate what he's become.)
i feel like these two are often dismissed due to the lack of focus on their arcs and characters in canon, but there's so, so much about them to unpick that's lying in the subtext. hero and mari are such tragic, interesting, complicated characters, and it's sad to see them be brushed aside. no matter how you see their dynamic, there's so much to explore surrounding them, both separately and as a pair, and i'd love to see more people discussing just how brilliantly complex they really are.

how was small things like these ( plus what was a particularly resonating scene for you )
hey nonie! thank you so much for these questions! to put it simply: small things like these was incredible. cillian's acting is quiet, but at the same loud and powerful, and the story is an incredibly poignant one. there really was no man more correct to carry billy furlong's troubles than cillian murphy himself. i ended up watching small things two days after the us election, and in the movie theater there were two older women -- one probably in her late 60s, the other her early 70s -- along with my best friend and i. sometimes i think the setting in which you watch a movie can influence how you feel about the film, and i do believe that was the case for me. i really felt it at some parts, so much that i did cry one or two times. and, the more i've thought about it in the days since, the more i've come to like it.
the movie itself is so, so quiet. there's nothing outwardly loud about it: not the conversations, not the characters, not the town, not the violence or the oppression, not even the thinly-veiled threats made by sister mary. it is evident from the very first seconds of the movie that it is going to be quiet but intense, and it is. its a whisper in the shape of a film, and heavy in the way that all terrible, too long silences have a way of being. there were a couple of scenes that resonated with me in it (and i know you only asked for one, but that's so hard):
the scene where bill discovers the girl in the coal shed again, and sister mary brings him into her office, where they then bring in the girl and have her make up some implausible story about how she was in there because they were playing hide and seek and she was locked in by the other girls.
the scene at the bar, where the barmaid urges bill not to say anything about what they're doing with those girls at the convent, because 'they have a finger in every pie.'
namely, they resonated with me because i think a lot of people do this now, for the sake of sanity, for the sake of 'keeping the peace': they brush big things under the rug, unwilling to talk about them in fear of the mess they will make of their own lives, and of other's lives. in another stunning cillian film that i watched, called the wind that shakes the barley, one of the characters says something along the lines of: it is easy to know what you stand against, but quite another thing to know what you stand for. it is evident that this town, quiet as it is, feels the weight of what is being down to these girls. they don't all condone it happily. but they accept it, because it is easier and safer, and they want this man (bill), who has witnessed it first hand, to not make a fuss of it. he has girls that go to the school run by these nuns, and doesn't he want them to have a good future? a much better future than the girl who gets locked in the shed, because she made the foolish mistake to get knocked up?
the office scene was unbearable to me. what with the way sister mary was all but saying: keep yourself out of this, bill. think of your young daughters and their futures. and then sister mary offered the pregnant girl up to bill, still shivering and traumatized from what had just been inflicted upon her, and she made the girl tell bill this story that was so obviously concocted for her by the other nuns. the girl couldn't even deliver it with any real conviction, and the nuns thought that would be enough for bill, because it had been enough for decades, fr centuries, for eons. it still was enough for everyone else in the town who knew what was happening, but who couldn't afford to say anything about it. they offered up this poor girl to bill so he could sweep it all under the rug, so that if, many years down the road he was feeling guilty about not having done anything, he could remember that there was nothing to be done: because it was nothing. because it was a cruel game of hide and seek. because he didn't know. because his girls. because of the money sister mary hands him at the end for his wife, eileen. because eileen, who knows they are not one of the families who can afford to make a fuss about this, either, and has begged him not to. because, because, because. and you can see how he is struggling with the weight of that: how he is standing between saying nothing and helping. it is haunting, the way he sits there and watches that unfold, trapped.
when the bar scene came along, i was already successfully broken up in bits, but there was something about the choice of music in that scene that has stayed with me. the town in small things like these, and the people within the town, all seemed quaint to me. without the occasional '80's music or very obvious '80's outfit in the film, i do believe that you could successfully be convinced that the story being told is one set in times of old: the '40s, the '50s, the '60s. these are times in which you aren't unaccustomed to these horror stories happening. but in the scene where the barmaid pulls bill aside - before she shuts the door and the scene goes quiet - the song don't you want me by the human league plays. the extravagant, flashy sound of the 1980s is jarring at this point in the film. it so odd as to almost feel like an anachronism, and it brings the audience to the horrific realization that this isn't one of the decades in which we expect these horror stories to come from: it is 1985. in america, twelve years prior to this, women in america got national access to abortions with roe v. wade. in 1972, women in america got widespread access to birth control. in the 1930s, condoms became widely used and available to them. people in ireland weren't even allowed to buy condoms in ireland until 1985.
this scene resonated terribly with me, an american in 2024, because i sat there, as a 23 year old woman, recognizing i now lived in a time where roe v. wade had been overturned and my country had elected the man who allowed it to happen once again. earlier that day i had seen a post where a man had said 'your body, my choice' about women. when that woman asked bill not to say a thing he had seen, for the sake of his own daughters, i ached for them and i ached for me, and i ached for all the people who will look back on this time in history, horrified because it didn't happen in the distant past; because it was a thing of the present. because it is a thing of the present.
anyway, please, please watch the film and tell me what you think.

Harry Potter characters/ships and the Taylor Swift song that reminds me of them:
Tedoire
She said, I was seven and you were nine
2 years age gap just like Teddy and Vicky
I dared you to kiss me and ran when you tried Just two kids, you and I
Vicky and Teddy growing up together because through Harry, Teddy is part of the Weasley family and Vicky developing a crush on Teddy but him only seeing het as a little sister
Well, I was sixtWell, I was sixteen when suddenly I wasn't that little girl you used to see But your eyes still shined like pretty lights
And then Teddy suddenly not seing her as a little sister but falling in love and them getting together when Vicky is 16 or 17
And our daddies used to joke about the two of us They never believed we'd really fall in love And our mamas smiled and rolled their eyes And said oh my my my
This is so Bill + Harry and Fleur + Andromeda/Ginny
Take me back to the time when we walked down the aisle Our whole town came and our mamas cried You said I do and I did too
Just imagine Fleur and Andromeda as well as Molly and Ginny crying at Teddy's and Vicky's wedding and the whole weasley family being there for the first Weasley grandkids wedding
Newtina
But something happened, I heard him laughing I saw the dimples first and then I heard the accent They say home is where the heart is But that's not where mine lives
Their first meeting was so chaotic but also cute
He likes my American smile Like a child when our eyes meet, darling, I fancy you
The way they acted in the second movie when newt talks about her eyes being like the ones of salamanders, they were so akward and I love it
So I guess all the rumors are true You know I love a London boy Boy, I fancy you (ooh)
I mean everyone else saw that they like each other before they did
They say home is where the heart is But God, I love the English You know I love a London boy
My American girl and her London boy
Just wanna be with you Wanna be with you Stick with me, I'm your queen
This is so them, they literally can't be without the other
Snily
Please picture me
Please picture me In the trees I hit my peak at seven feet In the swing Over the creek I was too scared to jump in But I, I was high in the sky
This reminds me so much of the first memory Harry sees in the prince's tale. Lily actually did jump
Cross your heart, won't tell no other And though I can't recall your face I still got love for you Your braids like a pattern Love you to the moon and to Saturn
Sev loving Lily even years after she died...
And I've been meaning to tell you I think your house is haunted Your dad is always mad and that must be why And I think you should come live with Me and we can be pirates Then you won't have to cry Or hide in the closet
Sev's father being abusive towards him and his mum and him hoping it will all be better in Hogwarts together with Lily (it wouldn't be)
Passed down like folk songs Our love lasts so long
Sev "passing" down his love for Lily and protecting Harry for her
Tedromeda
I just learned these people only raise you to cage you Sarahs and Hannahs in their Sunday best Clutching their pearls, sighing "What a mess" I just learned these people try and save you ... cause they hate you
This is so Andromeda being raised in the Black houshold and Bellatrix and Narzissa as well as the rest disapproving of her love for Ted
They slammed the door on my whole world The one thing I wanted
She loved Ted so much
Now I'm running with my dress unbuttoned Screaming "But Daddy I love him!" I'm having his baby No, I'm not, but you should see your faces
Just imagine Andy telling her father she loved Ted for the first time, Ariel style. And she was actually having his baby.
Dutiful daughter, all my plans were laid Tendrils tucked into a woven braid Growing up precocious sometimes means not growing up at all He was chaos, he was revelry Bedroom eyes like a remedy Soon enough the elders had convened Down at the city hall "Stay away from her"
Again so much Andy being raised as a Black and Ted just coming into her life with his "bedroom eyes" and everyone in her family disapproving but her going against the whole Black family becuase he is the one for her.
Thinking it can change the beat Of my heart when he touches me And counteract the chemistry And undo the destiny
Nothing could change her love for him
Now I'm dancing in my dress in the sun and Even my daddy just loves him I'm his lady, and oh my God You should see your faces Time, doesn't it give some perspective No, you can't come to the wedding I know he's crazy but he's the one I want
Her dad did in fact not love him so I actually don't know who came to their wedding but I still think it was a perfect
Romione
And in a blink of a crinkling eye I'm sinking, our fingers entwined Cheeks pink in the twinkling lights Tell me 'bout the first time you saw me I'll drink what you think, and I'm high From smoking your jokes all damn night The brink of a wrinkle in time Bittersweet sixteen suddenly
This is so Romione and you can't tell me otherwise. Just remember the first time he saw her...
Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me? (Kill me) It's just a game, but really (really) I'm bettin' on all three for us two (all three)
Ron did all 3. I mean he obviously did not actually kill Hermione but I think in 6th year he got close.
Truth, dare, spin bottles You know how to ball, I know Aristotle
No explanation needed
I feel like laughing in the middle of practice Do that impression you did of your dad again I'm hearing voices like a madman
Reminds me of the moments in the movies where Ron made her laugh
I'm going to add more...

sammary hcs? can be things you like to think about in connection to canon or just straight up fic porn stuff...
SORRYYY you get meta. or whatever this is 🫳
i talked about this in the tags of a poll once but sammary intrigues me in the earlier supernatural intentional gothic horror incesthorror + later seasons supernatural wwird action/comedy/adventure thing kind of way. a best of both worlds kind of way. like i think of it as an extension/perpetuation of mary kissing azazel in her father's body while unknowingly selling her son's body and quite literally creating the space for what can be seen as sam's csa metaphor but in the most literal way because this is a sexual relationship between post-resurrection!mary and sam. even moreso if you consider all the sam-mary mirrorings and parallels + the similarly motherly overtones in the simularities between her & jack's and sam & jack's relationship as well as the same overtones in mary as a symbol for sam + mary as a matriarchal figure for jack (the sam-mary 4.22 panic room scene and the 14.17 mary and jack 'tell me it's okay' scene are sisters to me). like their sexual endevors would just be blurring that line further either in terms of what their relationship could become ORRR in terms of their characters (both literally in terms of what they would get up to sexually and what it would metaphorically mean). this ship is like What if you lapsed them as people + their narrative structural (patriarchal & winchester familial dynamic & hunter dichotomies) roles a little further.
anyway, realistically, or in my head at least, they're less romantic and more sexual mostly from mary's side because there's a lot of friction between her and Making Sam This Way + Continuing It but also she thinks sam is fucking hot and she initially has a really hard time thinking of sam as the same son she doomed. she also thinks he's really sweet in that every time he goes out of his way to Understand ber and Forgive her or remember little things about her she kind of melts but again she struggles with it (i also like to think that her fear that sam won't forguve her perpetuates into her thinking sam's forgiveness is too good to be true, which adds to her emotional distance). sam, on the other hand, needs her to romantically acknowledge him so bad it's basically unrequited but he's also getting the weird motherly connection he needs from their sex life so it's enough to keep him hooked. their dynamic is like. they have nasty fucking sex (in a way that's not fun for the audience) and cuddle after then mary slips out of bed in the middle of the night and sam isn't surprised when he wakes up and she isn't there despite only them being in the bunker and not needing to hide it from dean but he buries his face in the sheets where she was laying and curls up real fetus position-like and his eyes water. there's a lot of emotional compartmentalisation on both their parts in a 'well at least we have a relationship we both want/are getting something out of' kind of way and this wraps around to the aspects in which they're similar in. their sex is a way to relate on their respective panic rooms and autonomy losses which are strikingly narratively similar lol but especially relating to azazel and the fissure it creates that's constantly cracking and repairing itself between them. i read a fic once where the only time sam and mary explicitly talk about it is in the impala in a kind of constipated way so my idea of this ship is like a Sure, And fix-it that's mutated into something else.
as for headcanons my favourite is that i think mary is jealous of (nonship) sam and dean and what they have and hates herself for it. when sam and dean stare at each other the whole time after sam's ressurection in 13.21 -> 13.22 and dean leads sam off to get cleaned up and they head off alone, she gets resentful about it (in a canon way i can't rightfully connect here so i'll leave it alone). it goes back to the not letting herself have anything super nonsexual w him thing. also. when mary dies sam doesn't mourn the sex.
honestlyyy this is one of those ships where you just really like both characters separately but specifically for mary and sam, it's actually crazy to me how much they mirror each other, especially when it comes to the reveal of mary's actual personality rather than her idolised version and how much That also mirrors sam's as well as how little anything was canonical done with it. it's like my brain made too much space for the sam and mary section but there was a shortage so i'm making up for it with this whole idea. i don't even want to smash them together like dolls. i'm cutting them open and connecting their intestines.

and I think Sam was a little less distressing to his sister with that.
I love Dean but throughout the seasons Sam seems a little more open to letting out his anger in other ways or at least coping with it in different ways.
Sam and Dean even yelled at each other but I feel like Sam saw it as a way to let it out while expressing what he feels.
For example when they are in the car and Sam tells Dean to stop the car and then they fight but at the same time they are yelling at each other on the road Sam is telling Dean how the situation they are going through makes him feel.
While Dean is a little more explosive, correct me if I'm wrong but I THINK, I'm not sure, I don't remember, the physical fights between brothers most of them started with Dean (he threw the first punch), I'm not saying that Sam always I was right in these fights, I'm just saying that there you can see the way of expressing emotions is different.
Also as far as I remember Sam never hit anything or had angry outbursts like Dean did, as far as I remember, you can correct me.
But well what I'm trying to get at is that maybe Sam is a little better at expressing emotions and telling his little sister that it's okay to feel sad, angry, frustrated, etc. I say Dean too but in a different way.
Do you think this behavior would be different with a sister involved or as a civil servant?
In fact, I was reading a supernatural comic, I don't know if you take it canon or not, but the important thing is that we have a flashback to when Sam and Dean were children
John hadn't told Sam about the hunt and as usual he leaves them at a hotel, Sam wants to go swimming but in the end they don't and Dean reminds Sam that he doesn't know how to swim, then Sam starts asking questions about Mary and Dean tell him not to talk about it, but in the end he ends up answering some things (lies)
John's fight with the monster for some reason ends at the motel where he was staying, so John tells Dean to go in the car where Dean knows they have to go in these cases, he does and when they arrive At the point Sam is crying because he doesn't understand anything and starts asking questions.
First Dean gets frustrated and yells at him to stop crying but then he hugs Sam and tells him that if he stops asking questions he's going to teach him how to swim :(
I only remember 3 physical fights between the guys (there could’ve been more). 1, when Dean punches Sam because they were arguing about that jerk hunter (forgot his name). 2, Sam punches Dean in season 4 when Dean calls him a monster, and then they duke it out (but I could be wrong about who started that fight). And 3, in season 14 when Sam punches Dean because he wants to die to take down Michael. Not the the count really matters, I know what you mean…
The boys definitely both have some times when their anger just gets explosive, but Sam would definitely be the one to sit the little sister down once and a while and tell her whatever she’s feeling is valid.
I imagine Sam talking more to her as a friend and big brother, talking about how it’s ok when she feels things. I think Dean would be more like a father figure, teaching her that some ways of expressing emotion are ok and some aren’t (either she lashes out and he tells her it’s not ok, or she bottles it up and he encourages her to let it out)
I feel like the difference is in seasons. Like in the early seasons when they’re younger, Sam gets angry quickly, and he’s quick to yell (kind of like John). Dean has a more broody/quiet anger, unless something really bad happens, then he’ll get loud and maybe throw something/punch something.
In the later seasons when they’re older, Sam matured past that quick anger, and we almost never see him get mad (from what I remember). Meanwhile, Dean bottles up his anger way more than ever (he did it before, but he has to do it more in the later seasons—bigger apocalypses and more young people that he feels he has to hide his anger from). So still, when it comes out it’s usually by yelling and throwing things.
I feel like Sam would get kind of protective (not that he’s mad at Dean, Sam understands why he gets like that) of the little sister whenever Dean throws things. He doesn’t say anything to Dean, but whenever Dean yells or throws anything, Sam’s first instinct is to seek out his little sister. He’ll either tell her to leave, or he’ll make sure he has at least a hand on her shoulder (but usually he’ll hug her and tuck her head under his chin, because he doesn’t want her to have to see Dean like that)

Comfort with the Idols + Agents! (pt. 1)
Hey guys! I really do apologize for the late posts. Trying to manage my time better. Not even gonna hold you all, my week's been pretty ass, and I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we could all use a little bit of comfort from our favorite cephalopods. Enjoy guys, love you ♡
I'll just be doing Squid Sisters for this part bc I am currently on a plane traveling home and I am off the extremely desired two hours bro
All characters are 18+
Minors DNI
Tumblr media
Callie!
Tumblr media
Welp
Girlie knows exactly when you’re upset
She can just read you that good because she’s the same way way herself
She can tell when you’re upset based on your body language, and she’ll do her best to be there for you
She’ll start by sending a few texts, but of course, it depends on the situation
‘Heyyy!! I noticed you were really off today and I just wanted to make sure you were feeling okay!!! (≧◡≦) ♡ let me know if there’s anything I can do to help!! ♡ ♡’
She doesn’t always want to press, but if you let her in, she’ll be all over you (in a good way)
Anything you need, she’ll get, and she means it
Water, candy, your favorite takeout place, a gun
In all seriousness, if you ask her to come over, she will bring a whole bunch of your favorite comfort things, go on a whole spending spree just for you so that you can feel better
She's definitely gonna make you something hot and warm, grab a blanket, and sit down with you on the couch to talk
Will take your hands and hold them with such gentle care omg>>>
Her hands are also super soft???? Like, girlie takes such good care of her skin
So she's holding your hands and she's just looking at you in your lil sad burrito
The softest voice, "Hey, it's gonna be alright. Tell me what's going on..."
You can't help but tell her, she's just so comfortable to be around
Halfway through telling her, you burst into a sob, and instantly her arms are around you
Will hold you gently but securely so that you feel safe
Will rub your back and kiss your head
Is like,,,, scarily calm but genuinely worried about you, especially because it's not every day that you break down in her arms
“It’s okay to cry, (Y/N). Just let it out. I’m here.”
Her voice is always so gentle and calming, and she’s surprisingly a good listener when things get serious
Holds you until you tire yourself out, and even then, she’s not going to let go unless you make the move or say so
And she’s really going out of her comfort zone for you, since she gets extremely antsy after sitting for long periods of time, so she really does care for you
Will stay with you for however long you need, grabs you anything you ask for
Will try to sympathize with you through her own stories and whatnot
“You don’t ever have to hide it from me because eventually I will figure it out anyways!”
Okay nah but like why is it actually cute when she threatens you like that
Causes your chest to swell just a tad
Will literally stare at you before saying like the sweetest/most adorable thing ever
"You know I'm really happy I met you. I know I don't say it enough but thank you for being my friend and so much more."
Will literally bring you to tears like-
You had a bad day but your girlfriend just swoops in and brings you a care package, cuddles, AND A HEARTFELT MESSAGE LIKE HUH??????
We fr love Callie, she a real one <3
Marie!
Tumblr media
So, Marie is observant, but maybe not in the way you'd think
She will notice changes in your behavior, but she doesn't say anything until it concerns her (AKA when she can get enough evidence to tell that you are not normal HDSHHHD)
Will notice you get either really quiet or way too bubbly (even if you are naturally)
Eyes you suspiciously and will stare into your soul before then having her aha moment
“So there is something wrong, you just didn’t want to tell me.”
You can’t really keep a poker face after that, I’m afraid
She’ll stare into your soul and glare at you (lovingly, of course) with her arms crossed over her chest
“Come on, (Y/N). Can’t fool me with that crap.”
Will soften up though once you respond, especially if you try to push her away or get snappy
“You don’t have to tell me, of course, but… I am worried about you.”
If you want your space, she’ll leave you be, but she’ll check up on you after a few hours
She knows the importance of and loves her alone time, so if you want it, she will, by all means, give it to you
After a few hours, she stands in the doorway, knocking softly on the doorframe, “Hey (Y/N)?”
Marie is usually very dry and nonchalant, but she has some care in her voice
Will look at you with soft, saddened eyes as you’re in your little sad burrito, trying to remain as gentle as she can be
Walks over and just scoops you up, even if you're heavier than her, SHE'LL MAKE IT WORK OKAY-
Holds you in her lap and will cradle you close
and yes her face is bright red and she's embarrassed but she's doing this for you bro
Will gently stroke your head and kind of hum gently as she does
I see Marie as a sort of grandma type (I mean, Callie calls her one all the time-) so I can see her literally holding you and crotcheting or something while you just relax against her
Will occasionally mumble something about a stitch pattern and kiss your head, or she'll talk quietly with you as she does it and holds you
Might crack the occasional joke to try and cheer you up
Will be stitching you a little cat/bunny hat, will look back at it, then at you, then back at it again, then back at you and just-
"Yeah, you'll look reallll ugly in this.-"
LIKE MS. GOWRL-
Will give you a look like YOU DID SOMETHING LIKE WHAT-
It works tho bc girlie gets you giggling out of pure confusion and caught-off-guardness (yes, that's a word bc i said so)
She doesn't actually mean it tho, I mean, come on, you're her partner of course she thinks you're gorgeous
Obvi if you're really upset she won't say that, but her dry and emotionless humor is a love language she uses to try and cheer you up
She loves you fr fr <3

Reading the tags of your recent Kunoichi Turtles post that Female Casey has a bit of a flirtatious personality has led me to headcanon that when Lavinia starts crushing on David (I think that’s Mona’s genderbent name in your AU?) she goes to Casey for advice and tips on how to flirt with a boy but when actually trying to use the flirting tips on David she fails miserably (like that flirting lesson scene from the movie Jumanji), but unknowingly to Vinnie the bad flirting worked and David is smitten XD
AHAHAHA! XD I would literally cry from second hand embarrassment if an episode like that existed. Maybe, maybe, I can see that happening a few "episodes" after David's first introduced into the story, after Vin finally comes to terms with her emotions. Because in this version the relationship progresses slowly over the course of like a season and a half (a lot of that due to David only visiting when his job demands it), and Vin has cold feet like for most of that time lol
David is the one who gets smitten with Vin first in my story and starts making subtle advances while Vin is completely on edge and skeptical of them and needs a while to realize that he actually likes her in a romantic sense, for real, and doesn't have some ulterior motive. After that she's just very awkward and tongue-tied about it.
You know how Raph kept telling Donnie to give up on his crush because they're all giant mutants that won't ever get a chance at love? I wanted to put attention on that part from canon since the show didn't give me that with the canon Ramona. Raph being a teenage girl can only make that mind-set worse, giving him/her more insecurity and self-hatred. Especially since Vin is the biggest of her sisters and the least "cute" and feminine of them. So I don't see her making the first move in any situation, and I think she'd only flirt after it would be made clear the other person feels the same way.
Ahh, sorry, that got a bit serious maybe. The two actually have a really sweet and healthy relationship (y'know, in my head, where it's been living rent free for years now lol), Lavinia just has to work out some things first before she's angst free.
In this AU we first meet David in the episode Newtralized, where David and Sal are trying to arrest the Newtralizer. Slash is there (he's an all-time baddie in this version), Vin gets captured thanks to David getting in the way of the fight, David feels responsible and goes to save her -> bla bla bla -> Vin has a rescued princess moment that she doesn't know how to feel about...
I've been trying to make this episode into an actual fic for the longest time. On the topic of Casey, I'm showing you a short section from the wip. It takes place toward the end when they've all reunited. I think it's also a good example on why Vin would not go to Casey for romantic advice XD
.
.
.
Casey leans in close to her face, her hooded eyes joining her friend’s thoughtful gaze on the young Salamandrian on the other side of the rooftop who is currently listening to his veteran commander going over what had happened while they were split up.
“Look at him standing there,” she says to her smoothly, almost whispering into her ear, “dark skin over toned muscle. Those abs, man.”
“Casey!” Vin cries out in shock and horror and swings around to face her friend’s smug smile.
“Like a chiseled renaissance statue,” Sofie helps with uncharacteristic coyness to her smile.
“Sofie, no!”
All four of the girls are grinning like Cheshire Cats at Lavinia’s discomfort, enjoying themselves way too much. Vin’s cheeks and nose are thoroughly covered in a deep blush and she hates that it’s there in the first place. She doesn’t even like the guy.
“David the Statuesque! That’s what I’m naming him.” Marie exclaims, sounding proud of herself for that one. “I was going to go with something more fun but since he’s your knight in shining armor—Literally!—I gotta be respectful.”
Vin can’t even hide her tortured grimace. Her shoulders sag and she sighs miserably. “I hate you guys.”
