One thing I appreciate Helluva doing is how it establishes Stolas as a good, sweet person but doesn't excuse his actions.
A lot of people have been saying for some time that Helluva turned Stolas into a sad owl boi, which true, but at the same time it still works as that is who Stolas is at his core. He's depressed, repressed, and is dealing with some shitty stuff at the moment.
Tumblr media
HOWEVER, even though he never means to hurt anyone, it doesn't change the fact that he still does. The show in season one held him accountable as a loving father to Octavia, still held him accountable when he unintentionally ignored her discomfort and not wanting to be there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the new Music Video it does the same with Blitz. We now know why he pursued Blitz, why he was so comfortable cheating on Stella, and why he was so forward with his dirty talk. But misunderstanding or no, it doesn't change the fact that Stolas still screwed up during his arrangement with Blitz. Even if he didn't mean to and thought it was something they both wanted, it doesn't change the fact that he still took advantage of a power imbalance and ignored the hints that Blitz may not have been as happy as he was.
And the show makes him take accountability for that. It has him address the fact that he was wrong, and that he's going to do everything in his power to make amends. Even if that means never seeing Blitz again.
Tumblr media
I think that's such an important lesson in media. That even if you don't realize you hurt someone until it's too late, it doesn't change the fact that you still hurt them. You can be a genuinely good person who means no harm, but if you hurt someone you hurt someone and you need to take responsibility for that.
(Also it must be said that Blitz screws up too. He doesn't comprehend that Stolas can get hurt in any way, so that leads to him thinking he can do whatever he wants with and to Stolas and that Stolas will still be there. He doesn't think he needs to worry about Stolas's feelings which can and will probably cause problems in the future. Also it has to be said that even though Blitz does see Stolas as unreachable and above him, it doesn't change the fact that Blitz too took advantage of a married mans attraction to him in order to steal from him. Also Stolas wasn't Blitz's ONLY option to the human world, it was simply the EASIEST. But Blitz has been being called out by other characters so I think that's why the fandom is easier on him.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basically, both Stolas and Blitz are equally as guilty. But I love how Helluva sets them both as sympathetic, caring characters and yet still holds them responsible for their actions.

It just occurred to me that Stolas’s character arc never resolved. He looked at an image of him and Blitz in episode nine and finally realized that Blitz is miserable, then he apologizes over text message because he’s a pussy, then he questions what kind of monster he’d be if Blitz is unhappy but then sees Blitz accurately calling him out for his past actions and plays the victim, then they turn on each other but Stolas goes back to acting like he has no idea he’s ever done anything wrong, but Blitz needs to apologize for his correct assertions (I am not reading intent that’s not there, Vizie literally said stolas is letting his feelings get in the way of reality, she knows he’s like this). But he also questions again, is he really as bad as I act like he is, or am I just ignoring my own mistakes? But then he comes to save him and there’s a sacrifice there, and next thing you know they’re dating. Blitz completely forgets all the very correct assertions he made about Stolas and decides he’s relationship material because of a grand gesture of selflessness, and Stolas continues to ignore his past actions. They just sort of silently set all that stuff aside. I didn’t even notice until after the episode, I just had a vague sense that this pairing was kinda unearned at this point.
If I had to guess why this is, Vizie desperately wants to make Stolas a sad victim babyboy but not acknowledge the way he's hurt others because that would get in the way of what a sad sad boy he is but can't really ignore it, so she begrudgingly acknowledges it without ever going anywhere with it because she ultimately doesn't want to take his problems seriously.

From Truth Seekers to Mastermind: How we've reached the halfway point of Stoliz
While there are many things I would love to bring up about Helluva Boss S2 Ep11 Mastermind and the pay offs it gave throughout the season, I want to focus specifically on Stolas and Bltiz's relationship as that is the heart of the story.
As we know Stolas and Blitz had an arrangement which allows Blitz to journey to Earth provided every full moon him and Stolas got freaky in the sheets.
Tumblr media
at first this was treated as nothing more than a condition that enabled Helluva Boss' story to be set in motion as Blitz and I.M.P's job requires them to go to earth to assassinate people for clients in hell.
and for the most part, Blitz treated it as just a condition of their agreement, nothing more, thinking Stolas was simply just a royal who liked getting freaky with the lower class and as he put it "loved getting raw dogged"
However come S1 Ep6 Truth Seekers we got a glimpse that there might be more to this as during BLitz's hallucination where his inner truth was being shown.
it was during this that we see Blitz's view of Stolas or rather his desire to want to love him as he sees Stolas in an almost "angelic" view point
Tumblr media
but as we see, he is unsure
of himself? of their relationship? of Stolas?
we don't know, but this is a turning point where BLitz wants to believe "maybe we could be more?"
Tumblr media
the episode climaxes (ha) with Stolas saving I.M.P, as prior to that Blitz and Moxxie were captured by humans and with Millie and Loona were trying to escape but were cornered.
After Stolas saved them, for a brief moment Blitz believed that Stolas might have actually cared about him because why else save him?
and for a moment we assume the same as Stolas asks Blitz if he is alright
Tumblr media
...until Stolas makes it clear, possibly unintentional as unfortunately our Bird Prince still has his aristocratic upbringing still part of his personality, "if YOU get in trouble, "I" get in trouble, WE don't want that" which made Blitz feel that all Stolas cared about was covering his ass which then has him retreat back into his shell, believing what he thought about Stolas was wrong, that there is nothing going on...
Tumblr media
Nothing except their agreement, and despite him giving Stolas a kiss and being playful, it's Blitz giving Stolas a "Reward" for aiding them but with no real meaning, just Blitz living up to their end of the deal and in this case, trying to placate Stolas to calm him down.
Tumblr media
What could have been a breakthrough instead was just a brief glimpse that neither side would notice.
and then came S1 Ep7 Ozzie's
We were clearly meant to see Blitz and Stolas as the focus this ep and it would be one that further showed how their relationship was not as ideal as either of them might have thought, in fact it is the total opposite of M&M's
Tumblr media
Where Mox and Mill were affectionate, loving, and stood up for and with each other
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Stolas and Blitz were confronted and ridiculed by Ozzie and Fizz; Stolas was mocked for how even though he had a family, he was messing around with an imp for pleasure
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and it was here that Stolas coward down and hid behind a menu out of shame
Tumblr media
Blitz taking notice and thinking this as, once again, Stolas not being concerned for him or seeing him as someone he genuinely wanted to be with leading to Blitz feeling that once again that golden angelic view ha had of Stolas crumbles and it further pushed Blitz back to thinking there is nothing more to them, there can NEVER be anything more to them, and Stolas just cares about getting his fix from Blitz.
Tumblr media
which is why at the end, even when Stolas was genuinely trying to salvage the night and wanted to reassure Blitz he did care; Blitz DID NOT want to hear it, Stolas had his chance, and he blew it.
Tumblr media
and the sad thing is, Stolas knows this and both of them are left heart broken because Stolas genuinely wanted to have something with Blitz, but his cowardice hurt the person he cared about.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Blitz was left alone that night to cry, feeling more unloved than ever before and after seeing pictures of his past relations, remembering the close ones he lost, he sees the one of his mom.
Tumblr media
the last person up to this point Blitz knew truly loved him.
Tumblr media
and in Blitz's mind, there is no one who would, could or should ever love him.
From there we have many more events that involved Blitz and Stolas's relationship growing, from Western Energy, to Oops, and eventually leading to Full Moon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
these episodes have a storyline that show Stolas is coming to realize he can't keep things as they are between him and Blitz.
Seeing Stars was a brief moment where they worked together but with trying to find Via, they couldn't really handle the events at Ozzie's and the aftermath as they had to prioritize finding Via.
But it's during Western Energy where it left Stolas thinking Blitz no longer cared for him or was possibly, and likely, still upset over what happened at Ozzie's, which we see supported by the LONG PARAGRAPH of text Stolas sent to Blitz in an attempt to try and salvage that situation and make amends.
Tumblr media
this all comes to a head when Stolas enacts a plan to free Blitz from their arrangement so they could truly try to see if they do love each other or if not, Blitz can have a means to keep his business going and not be tied to him.
Tumblr media
To do this he went to Asmodeus to make a case to get Blitz an Asmodian Crystal which would legally allow Blitz to go to Earth as Imps are not allowed to have access to that kind of magic.
Tumblr media
Sadly things wouldn't go good for either of them, again, as during the Full Moon, Stolas presented his gift to Blitz and after a series of unfortunate misunderstandings and flops from both sides, Stolas and Blitz would break up, and following the events of Apology Tour, Blitz would come to realize that Stolas truly was in love with him and what he felt back in Truth Seekers WAS true, but because of his pride, anger, and self-loathing, he pushed Stolas away and now he lost the chance to be with someone who truly loved him and it tore him up inside that he may never be able to get that back or even say he was sorry for hurting Stolas...and that he might have to let him go.
Tumblr media
on the other side of this episode, Stolas now had his own "Truth Seeker" moment as his song All 2 U has him now looking at his time with Blitz and much like how Blitz had his inner truth and view of Stolas while also seeing it be shattered after his rescue.
Stolas's view of Blitz, or more likely his view of how they might have had something, also shattered, that maybe it was all a lie Stolas told himself, much like how Blitz tried lying to himself.
Tumblr media
But then S2 Ep11 Mastermind happens
and we get the make-or-break moment between Stolas and Blitz
As I.M.P is being accused of stealing Stolas' grimoire to get to earth, Stolas steps in and saves Blitz from execution, not only that he takes ALL the blame for everything, as Satan, who is the judge of Blitz's trial, will not kill imps who follow the purpose he made them for which is "being obedient" and since Stolas is claiming Blitz did everything because Stolas ordered him to, all blame goes to Stolas and Blitz is let off the hook for following orders.
Tumblr media
In a single moment Stolas proved to Blitz he still cares about him, it's left up in the air for now if he still has feelings for him after everything that's happened, but make no mistake, Stolas DOES CARE about Blitz and seeing this himself, Blitz's doubts are dispelled, more so now he feels maybe him and Stolas can try again or that there is hope for them, because now Stolas is left powerless.
Tumblr media
Without a home, title, or anything, save for his daughter who is now in her mother's clutches, Blitz is all Stolas has.
and Mastermind ends with Blitz thanking Stolas for saving his life and Stolas weakly replying "always"
a very stark contrast to what happened back in Truth Seekers where it seemed Stolas only saved Blitz to save himself.
Tumblr media
and where Truth seekers ended with Stolas and Blitz making out, we get a softer, more affectionate, more sincere gesture between them as Stolas, weary from having his powers taken and having had to process everything that has happened and what will happen, rests while Blitz gives him a gentle kiss on the cheek.
Season 2 really did a great job building up to this moment and it feels earned, Stolas and Blitz's relationship at first was built on an agreement born from the two wanting something from the other, but as they both questioned how things were and had a series of events that further showed how wrong their situation was and that for them to genuinely have something meaningful, they needed to change
now here comes mastermind paying off the long wait for what is essentially the halfway point of Blitz and Stolas's romance, they ended the arrangement, they broke up, and now are on the path of rediscovering who THEY are as people while along the way will discover how THEY can be as a couple, because Stolas is now living with Blitz and the two will soon see how the other acts, how the others personal life is when they aren't around each other, it will be challenging and we may see more bickering like an old married couple moments they will have.
But this is why I love the writing for Helluva Boss, because it does understand and know how to set things up and give those things a pay off as I hope I have shown in this long, VERY LONG, thread about the evolution of Stolas and Blitz's romance.

Ok so I watched the episode. When Blitz went off on Stolas on EXACTLY how he felt, how royals/upper class treat imps & Stolas goes & says he always thought so high of Blitz & how Blitz thinks so low of him makes Stolas sad I almost said "fuck you" out loud (but didn't cos my family wouldn't be happy on that phrase). Jou ma se poes Stolas, fokkin naai van 'n voël. And then he just zipped Blitz away.
You know I was kind of happy ish on Stolas admitting his agreement with Blitz was so so wrong (it was cohesive rape) also the dispare in Blitz hearing that book being taken away, his business ending for him, his livelihood for him, his employees & daughter... him saying he would do anything for Stolas to keep the book. THAT whole scene was the true dark gravity of their agreement, and the only way to remedy was Stolas letting Blitz go, freeing him from his metaphorical chains binding him to Stolas.
But that last scene, Blitz saying to Stolas exactly how royals & upper class treat imps, Blitz tearing up, telling Stolas exactly how HE felt in this whole 'arrangement'. Like no Asmodeus crystal can remedy how Stolas made Blitz feel & for Stolas to turn it around how he, a royal upper class actually thought highly of Blitz & made Blitz feel bad for him seeing Stolas so low & then dismiss Blitz, piss off. You ain't the victim here Stolas, you never were in this situation.
Ya this is all played for the romance but jirre is sickening, the writers were literally on the right path having Stolas let Blitz go, then the end the episode writing Stolas being some kind of victim in Blitz seeing him as someone who takes advantage of imps, AND STOLAS DOES
Aaaaaghhkjhcocgtxi this ep was good then it wasn't.
Edit, watched this video on YT vanced ( idk if that gives her views but didn't watch on YT itself)

In defence of Vivziepop and the women of HB
I’ve been seeing a lot of people criticising and bashing Vivienne for the way she writes her female characters compared to her male characters and to an extent fans and the antis are correct and their criticism is valid but it’s reached to a point that the fans and the antis are being more misogynistic than the person the claim to be a misogynist (Viv).
They are always blabbering about how she can’t write a woman who isn’t mean, evil, emotional and has no depth or a sad backstory. I believe that most of the times people forget that Viv is not the sole writer of the show, yes she is the creator but she is not the only one in the writing room she is not the only one who has control over the story and the characters there is whole team involved.
“But all her female characters are mean without reason”. Wrong there are reasons why they are the way they are.
Verosika is the way she is because of Blitz. In AT we learned that when she finally mustered up the courage to confess her love for the person that was her boyfriend and presumed bodyguard at the time (since she is a pop star) left her in the middle of the night without an explanation and stole her credit card which he maxed out on horse riding lessons. Ver isn’t a bad person just because, she is that way cause of heartbreak, hurt and betrayal. She even had his name tattooed on her arm that’s how committed she was.
Barbie Wire, a child with an abusive father turned to addiction and alcohol and we know that she still keeps on using because of a freak accident that killed her mother, burned the circus, left her and Blitz’s best friend disabled for life and scars than can never be healed.
Loona an abandoned child that grew up in the orphanage and every time she got adopted she got turned back due to her temper and problematic teenage behaviour. Of course someone who was never wanted as a child and treated nicely isn’t gonna be all sunshine and rainbows. Despite all that Loona has come a huge way from being the always mad, defensive and socially awkward hellhound we met in ep.1.
Octavia, one of the most if not mischaracterised and wrongly hated character of the show. The first time Octavia is shown to us she is a child that has a terrible nightmare where she can’t find her father anywhere. From that alone we can understand that Octavia is someone who’s afraid of being abandoned by the only person that she can find comfort in. Her parents constantly scream at each other and most of the time ignore her (whether it’s intentional or are too wrapped up in their own problems and goals) and never try to communicate with her properly or explain the whole situation. She is not a spoiled little princess who’s always broody and “emo and annoying just to be, she is 17 a very vulnerable age at which she needs the two people that are supposed to take care of her in the world the most but she doesn’t and she feels that she never had them cause she never mattered, the only thing that mattered were their petty fights and duties. Via is allowed to feel hurt by her parents actions and lack of care and is right to confront them for their shitty behaviour towards her her whole life. She needs time to process what’s going on and come to terms with her own emotions and situation. If she doesn’t want to hear what Stolas has to say right now then that’s the right thing for her to do now. The love and trust she has for him is so strained and it’s gonna be a while before he can make up for his mistakes.
Stella is another character that the fans and antis complain that is evil (or cartoonishly evil which is boring as they’ve said after the last episode) because Viv has always to make her women unlikeable and stupid. Stella and Stolas were forced into the same fate without their consent at the age of 10 and have been miserable ever since. I like Stella I’m not gonna lie she is not the best written villain and we don’t know why she is the way she is but what we know is that she really hates and resents her husband and doesn’t really care for her child unless it’s to manipulate her against her father. Cartoonishly evil or not, she is entertainingly stupidly evil for someone driven by her hate and big ego, a narcissist that’s always right and above everyone else but what she doesn’t understand is that her brother is holding the strings and plays her like a puppet so he can do his own bidding in the disguise of getting rid of her husband. Sometimes villains don’t need to have a heart wrenching backstory, someone or something that made them evil some people are just evil either by them themselves or their environment. There are 2 more seasons left of HB im sure that the writers sooner or later will give us a good explanation as to why Stella hates Stolas so much and wants him out the way.
Millie a Wrathian who thought that she was good for nothing but killing people and being “the muscle”. Millie (as seen in GF) worked by herself taking jobs to survive and make a living until she met I.M.P and became a part of a team, a family that taught her that she is more that just a machine to kill people and is now the best version of her self. Married, happy with her career choices and I can’t wait to see how s3 will handle the unplanned pregnancy plot because there are a lot of things on stake here.
Why do we as fandom always have to demonise women for the smallest things and baby men for the horrible and wrong things they do and have done to others? Why don’t you give the same energy to Paimon, Cash and Crimson? Neglectful and abusive fathers? Striker? Who preaches about how royals are the worst thing to happen to imp kind but the moment he is paid by a royal to betray one of his own he’s quick to take it and run? Blitz? Who until recently never apologised for the bad things he did and ruined so many people’s life’s? Stolas? Neglects his own child in favour of his lover and stuck in his own foolish fantasies in the process losing whatever little faith Octavia had in him, obliviousness to see past his nose and his (not purposefully) prejudices?

Is Stolas actually cheating? Why or Why Not?
Tumblr media
I've had some debates where I've been told that Stolas isn't cheating, and especially not continuously. However, I personally think that he is.
The not cheating crowd reasoning's are:
1.Only the initial act was cheating. Once Stolas screamed the morning after that he wanted a divorce than every sex act with Blitz afterwards was not.
2. Since the marriage was consentless, loveless, and abusive this means he was never cheating on her. This interpretation tallies with Stolas's words on the balcony and in Western Energy.
3. Divorce only takes one person's consent and Stolas called it so he's free to fuck whomever, whenever, and wherever.
My rebuttals:
1.It's still cheating until that balcony scene where he calls for the divorce and kicks her out.Because even after his petty moment of triumph he still tries to placate her, and she's still living in the house. She is also still eating dinner like a family while still very much pissed at what he keeps doing.
I also find it ironic that only when he finally stops being passive and goes through with the divorce is when he also finally stops sleeping with Blitz for good. He went backwards with it. Which means he absolutely would have kept blatantly cheating(as well as kept Blitz in the deal) if the dropoff wake-up call hadn't happened.
2. No one gets to redefine a word just because the character doing it is a fan favorite. Stolas is committing infidelity by the very definition of it. He's an adulterer and a victim of domestic violence. Both are true at the same time.
Basically Stolas as a character can think what he's doing is indeed not cheating, but this doesn't mean the narrative agrees with him.
Narrative disagreement: Stella and Octavia's call-outs in Loolooland. Asmodeus's call out in Ozzie's. Via's pain again in Seeing Stars. Andre's call out in Western Energy. Via yet again in the Sinmas leaks.
Out of all the people I've listed I think the narrative has been very consistent in using Octavia to drive home that his cheating was wrong, and therefore damaging, regardless of what he personally thinks about it.
3. Yes, he called for divorce, but he cheated to initiate it therefore breaking his daughter's peace and mental health in the process.
The Via angle will always be why despite his pain his cheating still makes him an asshole. As well as the fact that he kept doing it even after his daughter told him that it was negatively affecting her.
Do you all agree with the view that both parties need to consent if they want to have sex with other people during separation or divorce proceedings, and especially if one spouse still has feelings, is pissed, or sad about it?
I know for example celebrities very much sleep around when they're only separated or in the various stages of divorce though they're technically still married.
Other bits:
Anyone else think Stolas's take back my power moment against Stella was lacking?
I mean it didn't really hit because there was no strong buildup of her wronging him.
But there's plenty of him wronging her with his frequent and remorseless cheating, and therefore her negative actions are because of that inciting incident.
To me Blitz and Via's felt earned while Stolas's didn't.
We had a whole season(honestly Stars and Western as well) of Stolas wronging Blitz so when he so strongly lashed out in Full Moon it truly felt cathartic.
Same with Via. We have two full episodes of this man repeatedly neglecting his own child for his affair partner and breaking her mental health. So when the third time happened and she has her take back my power moment I cheered.
With Stolas however I should have been cheering, and in a vacuum it wasn't a bad scene, but then the buildup was pretty bad because he has been onscreen for a season, and the circus bedroom scene, very much wronging Stella not the other way around.
Thoughts?

bit disturbing how nearly every time Stolas does something wrong there's always a woman nearby who can be blamed for it
he ruins the family reputation and Via's home with his cheating? Stella's fault for making him do it
he breaks his promise to Via to see the stars? Stella's fault for distracting him and demanding all her stuff be moved (because god forbid a dispossessed woman with none of the magic or Stolas has be attached to her possessions)
he attends an anti-Blitzo party after saying it was petty? Verosika's fault since Stolas only went to be polite
also Verosika's fault - Stolas roasting Blitz onstage, Stolas getting hammered and Stolas 'succumbing' to the idea he did nothing wrong
the few things that aren't a woman's fault are usually blamed on Blitz - Stolas had no choice but to cheat since Blitz came onto him (never mind who made it sexual first), he had no choice but to dance with the succubus since Blitz nodded it was OK (despite him looking sad and desperate for Stolas to actually talk to him), he had no choice but to make out with the succubus right in front of Blitz because...um...
like if I wanted to see women and impoverished people of color blamed for the actions of powerful, rich sex pest white men I don't need a cartoon for that. there are plenty of examples in real life. and it's not like the show is trying to make a point about who gets blamed in these scenarios - she's just bending over backwards to make Stolas never in the wrong
True all of this. If I wanted to see women and impoverished people of color blamed for the actions of powerful, rich sex pests, I'd watch Fox News.

Controversial opinion: I don't like Stolas and I don't want stolitz to become a relationship
Neither of them are 100% in the right, I know that, this isn't because I love Blitz, I don't really care, but Stolas has always got on my nerves. First he makes a sex deal with a guy while he can clearly see he's running for his life and not into it. The deal is the only way Blitz can do his job, that's sexual coercion! Don't believe me? Here's the definition:
"Sexual coercion is unwanted sexual activity that happens when you are pressured, tricked, threatened, or forced in a nonphysical way. Coercion can make you think you owe sex to someone. It might be from someone who has power over you, like a teacher, landlord, or a boss."
Stolas doesn't see it this way but in the beginning of course blitz did and why wouldn't he? It doesn't matter if it was consensual, Stolas has power over him so he'd assume he owes it, he even shows this mindset in full moon where he thinks Stolas is taking the book because he wasn't satisfying him.
Stolas was constantly calling him degrading names too "my little imp" -murder family "my little impish plaything" -truth seekers "itty bitty imps like yourself" -harvest festival(? Don't remember the title) "little creatures" -looloo land. The argument is he didn't mean it as an insult and that's true, he didn't even mean the deal as manipulation, but that doesn't change how it made blitz feel, blitz isn't the type to open up to someone and say 'hey that hurts my feelings ' if stolas really liked him he should have noticed the reactions. He hates it every time, pushing away, changing the subject, you can't be that stupid. You can say stolas was raised this way and yes he was but again how is that blitz's problem? He can be treated disrespectfully because stolas has a shitty parent? So did he.
Let's not forget how he acted at Ozzie's too, when he was called out for being on a date with an imp he hid behind his menu like blitz is an embarrassment, he publicly humiliated him instead of taking up for him, hence why Ozzie and fizz are so much better, they would never. And then Stolas is all sad like "why didn't he wanna cuddle? :(" idk maybe because you reinforced he's worthless in public
And then it's revealed they haven't been doing their deal for a while because stolas feels guilty and it's about time, he should have realized forcing someone to have sex with you to do their job is wrong immediately. When he tells blitz he does it in the worst way possible, he doesn't fully explain why he's taking the book first and that makes blitz panic, and then all the sudden he's confessing his love, what did he think would happen?
They have this huge argument where people say stolas has a trauma response from yelling even though he's never flinched at Stella and wasn't afraid of her, every time she yelled or threw something he just looked dead inside instead of frightened, that's a normal response too, what I'm saying is in that moment he wasn't afraid of blitz at all and even if he was how is that blitz's fault? It was an impulsive reaction not a planned thing to play on someone's trauma
"I think so highly of you, I didn't know you thought so low of me" Stolas says crying, how? And it's not thinking low, it's thinking you think so low, "treating me like one of your little imp servants" he was?? If someone is telling you you did something that hurt them you should apologize instead of making it about yourself, save your crying for when you apologize like "oh my God i did that? I'm so sorry, i didn't mean to, I don't look down on you I promise, I didn't realize " and boom we're slightly better!
"When have I ever looked down on you?" Everything before the deal break where you suddenly try to be better without apologizing and blitz doesn't understand, and the thing about blitz abandoning him with striker, he says blitz sounds like striker, don't do that wtf, you're making someone for guilty for taking their daughter to the doctor? Not everyone is a shitty dad who uses their child as an excuse to sexually and publicity flirt with the guy you're cheating on her mom with. You do not get to make him feel guilty for sending his work to do it while he comforts his scared child
Stolas refuses to acknowledge his own faults aside from the one with the deal, there's too much damage between to be a proper relationship, they shouldn't be endgame but you just know they will be somehow

Yeah no Blitz is fully within his right to be pissed off about that "confession".
Blitz literally has no reason to believe that their relationship was anything other than transactional, their last meaningful interaction together was Ozzie's and we ALL know how that went. Even the episode directly before that Stolas is still calling Blitz his "impish little play thing". Blitz's argument that Stolas is "Springing this feelings bullshit on him" is completely justified because Stolas's feelings really do kinda feel like they spring up out of no where during the Ozzie's episode.
And plus we have been getting force fed Stolas's pity party about his horrible marriage, how he's loved Blitz since he was a kid [which A) always felt weird/unnecessary and like they were just blatantly trying to retcon his intentions and B) arguably might have even made it worse cus even back then Blitz didn't have a choice in it], how he now sees how wrong the deal is and how bad he feels and oh he loves him so much. But even if you see all that and sympathize with Stolas for it, BLITZ NEVER SAW THAT DEVELOPMENT!!!
Blitz only ever saw Stolas talking down to him by calling him shit like "itty bitty imp" and "impish little plaything", not taking him seriously when he tries to set boundaries with him and completely ignore every single request he makes to not come onto him in public and not humiliate him in front of everyone from strangers to Stolas's own fucking daughter.
THEIR WHOLE DEAL WAS ABOUT SEX AND NOW STOLAS IS GETTING ANNOYED WITH BLITZ FOR "ALWAYS MAKING IT ABOUT SEX"????? MY BROTHER IN HELL YOU WERE THE ONE WHO MADE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE FUCKING DEAL!!! YOU WERE THE ONE WHO MADE IT ABOUT SEX TO BEGIN WITH!!!!! You were literally just bemoaning how wrong and unfair the deal was, earlier that same episode you asked "if he's only here as a prisoner what kind of MONSTER does that make me?" but now that Blitz is calling you out on it suddenly it's "i didn't realise you thought so low of me😢" you have never given him a reason to think any higher of you. You say you "think so highly of him" and how you don't care about social status but everything you've down towards Blitz so far has shown otherwise. Even literally dismissing him like Blitz accused him of doing by throwing him out for the crime of making him upset. Stolas didn't deserve that Sorry Blitz was gonna give him anyway.
I can already tell that watching reactions to this episode is gonna he so frustrating, so many reaction channels i watch have been so deep in the Stolas UwU Soft Boi propaganda the season has been giving us so far and already get pissed off at Blitz for the crime of making Stolas sad. I'm at least glad for Sarcastic Chorus cus even tho he ships it he can still think critically enough about it to not just blindly coddle Stolas.

andres dumb plan hinges too much on the idea of "stolas will come save blitz because he loves him and then hold himself accountable so i can take his legions! obviously!" when theres like. no implication that anyone really knows what blitz and stolas's relationship is, or that they even care about each other, especially not when stella said, "he finally realized that filthy little beast was only using him to gain access to his grimoire", like, what about that implies that stolas would give a shit if anything happened to someone who was "using him"? thats right - it doesnt! if andres plan had been properly executed in the stupid ass way he set it up in the episode, then blitz wouldve been executed, and fuck all wouldve happen to stolas after. if anything, hed be treated like a hero who was used unfairly by some low life, who was then slaughtered on tv to remind the lower citizens of hell not to fuck with the upper crust. imagine if that had happened, forcing stolas to go back to his home by himself; no stella since they divorced, no via since shes turning 18 soon, and no blitzy, ever again. maybe they shouldve just done that tbh, that way he could take over the show completely, since thats obviously what viv wants so damn bad. (also, stolas possible redemption arc when he realizes his actions actually DO have consequences!) or, i dunno, if she had the maturity to let other people look at her 3 year old script without surrounding herself with yesman, she mightve realized that she couldve kept EVERYTHING she wanted and still had the same ending, at the price of having stolas do the bare minimum and say, "he didnt force himself onto me, i.. forced myself onto him." the ending with all the imps hating stolas would make sense (because they know hes a rapist), blitz being able to even acknowledge any care he has for stolas might make more sense if he'd even SAY what he did wrong to blitz in front of EVERYONE important in hell, being a way to make up for his manipulative behavior and him hiding his face at ozzies, especially if stolas said, "i'm so sorry, blitz. for getting you into this mess, for everything ive done to you.." after blitz says thank you when they return home. (thats just the way i'd write it, because i cannot fucking stand that blitz says, "thank you, stolas, for saving my life," when blitz, at minimum, has saved stolas's life 3 TIMES AND HAS NEVER GOTTEN A THANK YOU ONCE BEFORE THIS POINT and was even INSULTED over saving him the best he could, because blitz needed to be there for his DAUGHTER first like a good dad, which is obviously something stolas has never comprehended since his sacrifice and willingness to die for his former forced sex slave in mastermind proves that, but stolas saves blitz twice, the second time being when hes holding himself accountable for his own actions that nearly got his "lover" killed to begin with? oh, heres a gold star, a thank you from the guy you forced to have sex with you to keep food on the table for his family, and a free imp to wash you just like when you were 12 i mean a totally not trauma bonded bf!)
Honestly, anon, interesting points all around! I didn't even think about all you said before you mentioned it.
Now, having blitz died is a very interesting idea
I mean, it would be very cool to see how each character reacts to his death, like having loona experience her sadness by turning it into anger and having millie and moxxie grieving with each other the best they can.
It would also be very interesting to see stolas hitting the deep end as he realized how his life is falling apart
I could see stolas trying to reach out to everyone blitz knew, and nobody wanted to do anything with stolas
From then on, the series would follow stolas as he deals with everything

Rapid-Spoiler-Season-Speculation: Full Moon Edition
Following the lead, but hopefully not completely on the coattails of many great theories, I'll throw my ideas into the wind and hopefully only end up half wrong.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Stolas's bed curtains can be seen, this appears to be his magic displaying the day's info.
Tumblr media
Stolas still has his bandaged arm. Cue panic, then duet song.
Tumblr media
Afterwards, IMP returns from a mission, Loona has the book.
Tumblr media
Time is 10 minutes until 6pm, clock out time! At least for Blitz who has removed his jacket.
Tumblr media
Get in bitch, we're going shopping at the Asmodues private reserve safe, emphasis on privates.
Tumblr media
(Fizz, unless Stolas is in full demon mode, that thing will murder his cloaca and not in a good way)
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, waiting, worrying.
Tumblr media
(Blitz, isn't not gonna fit!)
Tumblr media
"Stolas, you don't have to turn on that red light." ♪
Tumblr media
And as everyone and their second cousin predicted, Blitz freaks out. As to how long the talk went, or what exactly was stated, we'll have to wait and see. But we get a taste of Blitz cursing Stolas out.
Tumblr media
Stolas is roughly still in the same place, as the earlier scene, as he gives what seems to be a closing goodbye. Although dialogue can easily be mixed in a trailer.
Tumblr media
And at some point we get this moment of Blitz, with a sad expression(?), seemingly reaching for Stolas in what appears to be inside.
Tumblr media
Then being teleported outside (by magic)?
Also referenced in a fantasy sequence here:
Tumblr media
Did Blitz say some very terrible things to Stolas before the full details of the Asmodean crystal and Stola's intentions for their relationship were made clear to him? And then regretfully try to make amends? That's full speculation on my part, but considering what we get in what appears to be a follow up scene between these two:
Tumblr media
The most common theory I've seen and can still believe myself is that this scene will take place in the Apology Tour, but I think it's actually taking place in Full Moon. This entire episode will probably be focused on these two and the preceded scenes (even with missing parts) aren't enough to fill a full (and heavily anticipated) one.
On a commentary note, and not to pick sides, but Blitzø Buckzo, what DID you do?! That bird didn't balk when you were torching his beloved Loo Loo Land to the ground and now he looks like he's 2 seconds away from releasing the hellhounds on your ass.
But on a positive note, he's at least outside, drinking wine and reading a romance novel. Not knocking down absinthe with the houseplants or burning all of Blitz's horse drawings in effigy. It's more of the 'My lovelife is in the shitter, Gabriella' vs 'He'll never love me and I'll die alone next the ice cubes' mood of earlier. But either way, dude looks PISSED.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A mocking angry bow. Blitz has a smile, but maybe it's just because they're talking instead of Stolas ignoring him.
Tumblr media
(book is still in hand) "Do you have any kind of remorse for what you do?" matches the mouth movements. Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is directed at Blitz. Unless Stella happened to drop by at a bad time to pick up her mail (what happened?!!)
Judging by the sky, it now appears to be morning.
Tumblr media
(note the roof and curtains behind Stolas, they're now under/inside a fancy canopied tent) Owl is still angry.
Tumblr media
Blitz has kicked back his feet, making himself at home. Stolas's pose is familiar but possibly still mocking, based on his earlier expression. Does Blitz want to solve their problem the usual way and Stolas may not bite this time?
End of my speculated/confirmed sceencaps from this episode, save maybe for this:
Tumblr media
Granted, this could be a scene from any of the Blitzø-Conga-Line-Trauma-Storyarc of this season, but I'm thinking it may end this particular one. Leaving Stoltiz in a not great, but possibly getting things out into the open place.
Leading into the Apology Tour!

Alright, so one thing I absolutely love about the potential later conflict between Fizz and Ozzie is that they both come from very understandable places.
For Fizz, he has every right to want to be out by himself and just do things independently. You can tell up until he ran into Blitz he enjoyed his day out and getting to do something on his own.
Tumblr media
And then we have Ozzie's perspective. He's overprotective of Fizz but to be completely fair, considering what we've seen so far, he's seen Fizz get hurt a LOT. Like A LOT a lot.
For instance, as far as we can tell, he's the only one who works on Fizz's limbs, and considering the fact that he has spare parts around, we can safely assume that Fizz needing a tune up isn't exactly a rare occurrence. Plus the fact that he's probably been there for the better part of Fizz's recovery would show him more just how vulnerable Fizz really is. It also probably doesn't help that Fizz still manages to get hurt even when Ozzie is literally right next to him.
Tumblr media
Ozzie knows that Fizz isn't helpless, but seeing someone you love get hurt can is really scary. And considering Ozzie likely feels that kind of fear constantly, it makes sense that he would be just a tad too overbearing. Plus considering Fizz never makes a serious fuss about his tendencies and even seems to agree sometimes, Ozzie thinks that Fizz is fine with how things are.
Back to Fizz, despite him and Ozzie being on numerous levels of understanding, he likely feels like he can really say anything because it turns out that Ozzie's worries were in fact valid. Not to mention that because he and Ozzie are so in sync, he probably knows how Ozzie feels about this whole thing and would feel guilty bringing it up.
Tumblr media
People interpret this frame as either Fizz feeling guilty for worrying Ozzie and getting himself in trouble, others interpret it as sadness that he probably won't be able to go out alone in at least a while. Why can't it be both?
That being said, Fizzmodeus is still a wholesome and healthy couple, but it's interesting to see how this topic will be brought up in the future. I just like how the two of them come from very understandable places, and how neither are entirely in the wrong (Fizz should speak up and Ozzie should be less protective). It's also kind of refreshing to see a relationship with problems where one isn't entirely in the wrong (like M&M), and they are both on equal levels with each other (unlike Stolitz).
(Because whereas Stolas and Blitz are in places where they can't really understand each other or talk about their problems, Ozzie and Fizz are in a place where they understand each other so well that they don't feel like they need to.)

the reason I suspect that leak is true unless Viv has seen sense and changed like with Ghostfuckers (though it's not a storyboard leak so it didn't nearly the reach and didn't get to attract the same amount of backlash) it is that it's just the sort of hacky writing s2 has had all the way through. if true then it's trying to kill two birds with one stone, right? first give Blitzo a love epiphany, second find a way to make Blitzo completely let Stolas off the hook. it's just the sort of thing a writer who made Stella cartoonishly abusive would do
of course it will suck if it is true, it'll be the worst moment of the show
but on the other hand I sort of want it to happen because if we do end up getting Owl in a Cage then I don't think the fandom can cope their way out of this one. the people still insisting 'Stolas will get his own Stolas Sucks party!' will struggle to deny Viv's intentions any longer
if it is true, it basically means Viv thinks the answer to Blitzo conquering his issues with intimacy and fear of losing people and Blitzo deciding Stolas never meant to hurt him when he coerced sex out of him is... Stolas is being abused. Just like Stolas is being abused was her answer to why Stolas' cheating suddenly wasn't cheating, because he said so.
not only is that a cartoonishly embarassing solution when it shouldn't be so hard just to have Stolas self reflect and apologize like an actual person would do and have Blitzo find something he likes about him
but it's just sad. it's admitting the only thing getting these two together and making it so Stolas never has to take accountability is the fact that he's pitiable. there is nothing good to be said about him, he's just a sad void that the world has dumped on so it's fine that he mistreated everyone around him in turn even when they're much younger and in his care or haven't had a fraction of the advantages he's had
and the tide is already starting to turn. Conversations on the Reddit revolving around whether Stolas is seeing any consequences soon are increasingly including comments like the following:
We've had 'oh this thing that is actually both sides being kinda wrong but we're all going to dump on one guy while the other is easily forgiven and babied' depressingly often. There is a subset of people, of which i am one, that responses to this 'trust me bro' talk with. 'No. I will not trust you. Either put up or shut up.'
and they're not being downvoted to oblivion any more. for a community that used to aggressively police negative sentiment, that's a real turnaround
Everyone has a limit and honestly I think this will be the last straw for the remaining critical thinking or should I say free thinking people. On Twitter the take is “i don’t care about the story or the criticism or the characters! I’m not listening!! My ship is sailing and it’s my community’s moment I don’t care!” But it isn’t, vivzie is dragging this out until the end of the show guys, making merch and teasing breakups to squeeze money and engagement. Lets wake up already.
Blitz isn’t to blame for what Stella does. Stolas shouldn’t be mad at blitz for not saving him from striker, he shouldn’t be solely mad at striker for taking the job, he should be mad at the woman who called the hit. And he should be mad at the man who forced him to marry this woman, and be upset at the fact he, his father, never loved him, his son.
But that would require departing from infantile romance cliches to satisfy your 14 year old and stunted 30 year old viewers, and instead actually confront class issues in your story.
he's just a sad void that the world has dumped on so it's fine that he mistreated everyone around him in turn even when they're much younger and in his care or haven't had a fraction of the advantages he's had.
Oh anon you cooked well here. Stolas is pitiable and pity is the same as innocent in vivzies eyes. Even his malicious moments are hand waved as one would do a four year old child who doesn’t know any better. I mean think about it, this may be the biggest stolas pity party yet, stolas sings is a self pity song, blitz sings is another pity stolas song. It proves this writers bias is terminal, and that she’ll say any lie to shut you up and keep you quiet or watching. But most importantly, purchasing.
She really thought making him as wimpy and pathetic as possible as a PR move would stick. But it really didn’t. You just can’t slap on a poorly thought out abuse story to brush everything aside.
But no she’s having them cuddle for the Christmas card beside their child counterparts who only spoke to each for a few hours under duress and false pretences…..She’s fully endorsing the idea that Paimon did a good thing there and that they were in love as children.
And they get together at a child’s expense and see her as a bitch for getting in the way of their triumphant story. Gross. May this all go up in flames, amen.

though I'm not actively posting helluva boss stuff anymore for... reasons, I do have to say that I didn't hateeee ghostfuckers? Like it's at leaaaast C-tier for me. They had a much better mix of humor and Real Shit™️ and hey Millie screen time I will never complain about that. I guess my only real complaints with the episode are my own petty opinions about them CONTINUOUSLY framing Blitz like this poor little kicked puppy who's just sad because he THINKS he screwed everything up but he's actually done nothing wrong and people are just out to get him. like. no, actually, he fucked up really bad and he's just been a dick to people the whole series and he KEEPS getting away with it. He can't be blamed for the fire incident. Fizz blamed him for ruining his life, Barbie blamed him for ruining hers, he blamed himself for his mom's death. That whole part, I do understand. And it's kind of unfortunate actually, because I think he was just starting to come to terms with the fact that maybe it really all was just a mistake. And maybe he could make amends, own up, and move past it. And then mr complicated relationship over here managed to go through a messy breakup where BOTH parties were in the wrong. And Blitz is really quick to place blame. So instead of recognizing that they both fucked up, he started spiraling with a whole bunch of finger pointing and "what ifs" and if Vivzie just dug a little deeper into THAT aspect of the breakup, rather than just showing "oh blitz is sad about this" then maybe I wouldn't hate it as much. All that being said, I hope Stolas had a PHENOMENAL time with mystery "i hate blitzo" guy, and I hope he's happy and not spiraling and I love Stolas

Stolas quietly opens the door to the apartment he and Blitzø share, stepping inside with an air of defeat. It’s late, and the dim lighting makes the place feel colder than it should. Blitzø is seated on the couch, arms crossed, his tail flicking anxiously as he waits. He immediately looks up when Stolas enters, his expression a mix of concern and irritation.
Blitzø: Finally. Took you long enough. What the hell happened, Stolas? You’ve been gone all day.
Stolas closes the door gently, not meeting Blitzø’s gaze. His hands tremble slightly as he removes his coat and drapes it over a nearby chair. Blitzø notices the tension in Stolas’s movements and stands, his tone softening.
Blitzø: Hey… what’s going on? You look like you’ve seen a ghost or something.
Stolas takes a deep breath and finally looks at Blitzø, his eyes filled with sadness. He steps closer but keeps a slight distance, his posture rigid.
Stolas: Blitzø… there’s something I need to tell you. Something… I never wanted to say.
Blitzø: *narrowing his eyes* Okay… you’re scaring me now. Just spit it out.
Stolas hesitates, his feathers ruffling slightly as he steels himself.
Stolas: I… I am returning to my family.
Blitzø blinks, his expression shifting from confusion to disbelief.
Blitzø: Return to your family? What are you— wait, what does that even mean?
Stolas: *voice trembling* It means… my marriage to you has been annulled. It’s as if it never happened. And… the adoption of Wesson and Winnie—
Blitzø: *cutting him off, his voice rising* No. No, you don’t get to say that. You don’t get to just—just erase us like that! Stolas, we’re your family! Those kids love you!
Stolas’s eyes glisten with tears, but he doesn’t look away this time.
Stolas: I know, Blitzø. I know but…I want this.
Blitzø: *stares at him, his face a mixture of anger, heartbreak, and desperation* you…want this?
Stolas: I…cheated on you last night…
Blitzø: So?! I forgive you! It’s not worth ending this!
Stolas: The man who I cheated on you with…I found out he’ll be my newly betrothed.
Blitzø looks away, his jaw tightening as he processes the words. Finally, he speaks, his voice quieter but no less pained.
Blitzø: And what about…the baby Striker is carrying?
Stolas: It’s not definitive that he is. IVF fails a lot. And…if he does end up pregnant. I’ll request he get an abortion.
Blitzø: What?!
Stolas: He never consented to that treatment and he was wronged! Why force him to carry someone else’s baby?! Especially when he is sick!
Blitzø: *freezes but understands* Okay…that…if he wants to terminate then we can…
Stolas: I do!
Blitzø: I mean Striker. We can’t force him to do anything like that.
Stolas: Then…perhaps we can prevent a pregnancy from forming. It’s called birth control for a reason right? *uses his magic and summons a few items, pill bottles in particular* This will prevent any…ya know…
Blitzø: *devastated* Okay Stolas…I’ll let him have the option.
Stolas: Thank you Blitzø. I will send for me things.
Blitzø: You’re not even going to say goodbye to Wes and Win?
Stolas: *looks depressed* I don’t think I have the strength to face them.
Blitzø: Coward…just leave.
Stolas: *leaves without another word*
Blitzø: *starts to cry and sinks to the ground*
Striker: *heard everything from the bathroom where he’d been the entire time. He feels his chest tighten and hurt, like his lungs are about to burst. He opens the door slowly and walks over to Blitzø* Blitz?
Blitzø: Go away Striker.
Striker: What?
Blitzø: I SAID GO AWAY! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! If you hadn’t come back into my life this never would have happened!
Striker: What?! You’re the one who chased me down!
Blitzø: My greatest mistake was meeting you…
Striker: *eyes widened and he takes a few steps back. He suddenly starts coughing and heaving, vomiting blood, petals, and cactus needles*
Blitzø: *horrified* Striker?
Striker: *collapses and still vomiting blood*
Blitzø: What…have I done?!
