Have you noticed that Taylor doesn’t ever wear designer products on her day to day life? Not a criticism ofc just an observation considering the fact that she’s a multimillionaire and most multimillionaires wear a lot of designer products, especially handbags. She seems to be very low maintenance
ehhhh i'm sorry to burst your bubble, and i hope i can do it in the most reassuring and gentle way. but that's not accurate unfortunately, unless your scope of what makes something "designer" is it has to be one of the major houses (gucci, prada, LV, etc). and that's not an accurate outlook in general any more either because fashion has diversified well beyond the major houses. she seems to have a mix of average consumer stores like Aritizia and reformation and free people (which still run you hundreds of dollars sometimes for a piece of clothing and are arguably not affordable) and the like along with a fair share of Stella and the Row and other boutique brands that have sticker prices of 500 - 1k on average per pair of pants. gucci suits they are not, but they're still high end clothing and very expensive to own the volume that she appears to own. and in my experience, most extremely wealthy people don't dress in chanel and gucci and all that every day. they wear basics just like everyone else, pants and tops and sweaters, they're just very high end basics. like t shirts from james perse or cords from the row and things like that. also in my experience, most extremely wealthy people in their everyday life aren't trying to show off their wealth with their clothing. fellow wealthy people will know the difference between a cashmere and a wool sweater and the cut of a really expensive blazer vs one from ann taylor. little details like the type of buttons and stitching can give away how expensive something as simple as a button down shirt is compared to it's cheap counterpart. those who have money can spot it and will know their equals.
i also want to add that wearing high end clothes or not doesn't make someone high maintenance. a lot of celebrities that you see work very hard to look good when they're in their "everyday life" and that's not to say they hire a hair stylist at 8 am to make their hair look good for a plane ride. it's more general life maintenance things. just for clothing alone, most famous and wealthy people have stylists that act as "shoppers" for them. Every few months, or however often the client insists, they will assemble a room full of casual clothes that they've selected for the client based on the client's personal style. The items chosen are meant to act as a wardrobe, not styled outfits, so the client can feel confident that as they choose their "everyday outfits" all of the items will go together well and make them look polished. wealthy and famous people don't have the time to shop for themselves, or they're not good at assembling a mix and match wardrobe like that so employing someone to do that task and also have good, relevant taste for them is invaluable. yes taylor wears an aritizia sweater but her shopper might have set her up this past winter with a slew of them in the right shades and cuts to compliment her figure and skin tone. she might occasionally shop for herself online, but it's more likely with her busy life that someone is on the payroll to do that for her.
beyond clothing, as far as what it takes to maintain a wealthy and famous person's image, i mean the amount of treatments they undergo on a regular basis to maintain clear skin, tight skin, the perfect shade of hair color, a body type they're trying to maintain, well maintained nails, and so on and so forth. you'll never see it and it'll never be noticeable to you because it's all in the service of coming off "naturally" beautiful. when in reality, a celebrity is using an extensive daily regiment of serums, lotions, and sometimes topical fillers that are personalized by clinicians specifically for them, and often shipped to wherever they are, be it film sets or vacations. they're also undergoing state of the art technological treatments such as routine laser hair removal to keep their bodies hairless, which yes needs upkeep, it's not one and done. or other topical treatment machines that zap cellulite or remove imperfections on the skin like moles and freckles. sometimes even botox treatments to the armpits or other areas that sweat or get odorous so they don't perspire noticeably. there's also the frequent trips to salons or even home visits where they have their roots touched up or undergo chemical treatments to keep their hair texture soft and fluid even on their "off" days. not to mention what they ingest, anything from a fridge full of prepared juices and other concoctions that is kept stocked by a nutritionist to meals routinely prepped and portioned out for them by a personal chef that no doesn't come every day, but will come once a week to prepare their meals ahead of time. all of this is maintenance, and not talked about because it destroys the illusion that these famous and wealthy people are simply "genetically" gifted and therefore we should idolize them for how special they are. when in fact no, they have entire armies of people working in the shadows as architects of their unattainable beauty all so that we look at a photo of them walking to get a coffee and go "wow she's just so beautiful! i wish i was as beautiful as her." but that is not natural beauty and it's so impossible to attain without that army and constant upkeep.
i cannot speak to how taylor swift runs the underpinnings of her life, and she likely will never talk about it in detail, nor will any celebrity as an act of self preservation. Nor is it a value judgement of her as a "good" or "bad" person. it's simply the reality she lives in as a wealthy and famous person with the pressures and expectations that brings. But I can suggest that you think twice when you see a celebrity or wealthy person who looks to be in an "every day" situation and find yourself in awe of how they just.... look like that easily. in reality they spend countless hours and millions of dollars pinching and pruning and tightening and manicuring and curating in the most subtle ways possible to make it look as natural and as easy as rolling out of bed like that. and while she herself is likely not be the kind of bratty, snotty wealthy person you typically would call "high maintenance", i can assure you her overall life is, in every possible way, very much high maintenance.

What do you do when you can’t stand the people you rely on to make a profit? For one company, artificial intelligence has proven to be the lucrative answer.
Aitana, a 25-year-old woman from Barcelona, is described by her creators as the first Spanish AI model, Euronews first reported.
But influencer agency The Clueless was only inspired to design her because they found real-life models and influencers too unreliable and difficult to work with.

This one looks so much more realistic and real than the previous photo under discussion:

i slam my hands on the metaphorical desk in front of me and point at myself and annoying fucking label discourse
LISTEN
lesbians and queer women taught me how to love women
gay and queer men taught me how to love men
lesbians and queer women taught me how to be masculine
gay and queer men taught me how to love the elements of my femininity that remain from my childhood despite being two and a half years into transitioning
nothing about the way i love people is straight or heteronormative because the way i've learned how to love people, myself, and my identity is through queer people and that will never change no matter who is perceiving me or my relationships, romantic or otherwise
to some i look like a guy, to others a butch woman, and you know what? both of those are in me, and im exhausted from trying to separate the two, because both of these life experiences have informed the way i live in this world, and neither is 100% right.
queer is the only word that i want to use for myself because it's the only one that is 100% right

"“Let my story change the law” COMING OUT | The daughter of Cameroon’s president, Brenda Biya, has sparked a storm by posting a photo of herself kissing her girlfriend. In her country, homosexuality is punishable by prison. Brenda Biya fiddles with her fingers. The idea of speaking out makes her “anxious.” On Sunday, June 30, the 27-year-old posted on her Instagram account (@kingnastyy) a photo of herself kissing her girlfriend, Layyons, a 25-year-old Brazilian model. The caption in English confirms the coming out: “PS: I’m crazy about you and I want the world to know.” And Brenda is the daughter of Cameroonian President Paul Biya, 91, the oldest elected leader in office in the world. In the country he has ruled since 1982, as in twenty-six other African nations, homosexuality is illegal, punishable by five years in prison. About twenty people are currently incarcerated in Cameroon for having had relations with a person of the same sex."

chirp
(long and silly rant in tags so maybe don't open them if you're scrolling at a leisurely pace)
#chirp#the photos aren't enough...#i say with 25 queued...#inane and sudden desire to become a gifmaker has overtaken me :0#would probably take a lot more time + effort than what i already do but i imagine most of these photos have been posted before...#so even if i've never seen them around i sometimes feel bad in posting them#i don't really watch many concerts though#whereas i read the interviews just to try and see what inspired the songs. good album recs from the band. so on so forth.#its worth it bc every few years they'll get an interviewer who's a total music theory nut#still love the guy who confronted thom about his use of pedal tones.... and geeked out about the creep progression. he gets me.#not to mention seeing all the people who interviewed them in their early days bring up stuff like pop is dead ten years later just because#and then there's the fun facts like nigel telling them they couldn't eat until they were done with 2 + 2 = 5. mad dog selway.#thom insisting 5 or 6 times so far that hail to the thief is a sexy record... why... but you get the idea#not sure why i'm saying any of this or what the Point of this set of tag ramblings is supposed to be uhh.#maybe i'll make gifs in the future but there are a lot more interviews to go... and lots of old ones i want to look at again...#and even more to chase down if they're not up on citizeninsane. so i might be all rh'd out (impossible) by then.#i'm also not reading the interviews For the photos or ''clout''... it's for the anecdotes. my doc for notes on them is literally the size o#a middle grade novel... Oops ! but yeah the photos are pretty recent. i've been at this since like december on and off.#and who knows maybe i will grow tired of the pictures or they will somehow cease to be entertaining!#or i will get a life and not spend hours a day reading interviews... it's not too bad an addiction. cause i'll be done soon.

what would lowkeyartist!sukuna do and react if his wife and kids identity was revealed🤨
for dramatics, i feel like the way his family’s identity is revealed is most likely from an inside source. His hair stylist, probably new to his team wouldn’t do it intentionally, he’s probably taking a video and in the background is clear view of you and Sukuna entertaining your son. And so the video spreads and everyone starts to investigate.
Sukuna would most likely not hear about it until you come back from picking up your son from daycare with Toji.
“What happened? Why’re you crying?” you’re huffing, hair is frizzled than how it normally looks, and the gloss over your eyes concern him immensely. He takes your son into his arms, the little boy not knowing about the turmoil his mother is facing while he sleeps. You’re happy he was, because then he wouldn’t be so scared of the crowd that seemed to surround him half and hour ago.
“Your little fan base knows about them now,” Toji spoke up, walking through the door with your sons bag and car seat (you left your car at the daycare, calling Toji to come pick you up so that the fans don’t stalk your car all the way home. Toji most definitely took a different route to your house than usual)
Sukuna stares confused, his hold on his son faltering a little bit, Toji continues, “they were at his daycare, it was a big crowd, Ryomen,”
“Fuck,” he whispers, his arm coming around your shoulder so he could pull you into a soft embrace, he kisses apologies into your hairline, saying he’ll fix this, “go wash up, I’ll go see what I can do,”
The next day he goes live and everyone notices how disappointed, angry, and upset he looks. He’s not in his studio, but a room at his agency. It’s a rough, 15-25 minute video - he’s already planned out what he’s going to say by the help of Toji and his media team (Toji insisted he needed to be professional about this or else it wouldn’t be taken seriously or well - despite his lack of care for how offended the media would be, a voice in his mind reminded him of his family back home)
He thanks everyone for supporting him so far and for giving him the content life he has now, but he firmly admits that he doesn’t like mixing up the two together. “my private life is to not be shown carelessly online, my family is to stay offline,”
He over goes the incident that happened at the day care and affirms that he will be taking legal action against accounts, websites etc that post those videos or photos - “my wife and son are normal people too, I expect everyone to treat them as such or else me and my team will take legal action,”
“I hope you all come understand why I’ve come off offensive right now, my family is very important to me and I’m not afraid to drop this career for them.”

There was lots of concern about AI and deepfakes spreading misinformation this election cycle, so let's check in on that!
A lot of right-wing accounts are trying to prove that Kamala Harris' crowds are fake - that all the photos of them are generated with AI. We'll get to that, but let's look at the most...amusing example first.
There's lots of people pointing at an image of a crowd that's obviously been generated with AI, due to extra arms and gibberish writing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So obviously someone generated this image with AI. Who was it and why? Well, we can actually find the origin pretty easily. It was...
Tumblr media
A right-wing satire account. Who put "unexcited Kamala Harris crowd" into a AI image generator to make a "wow, crowds are electric!" joke.
An image their own side generated as satire is now being spread by the right as something Harris/Walz created as proof they're doing the thing they're doing. Incredible. Just a masterclass
Now let's look at the dark stuff.
By and large, AI isn't being used for hoaxes. AI is being used as a excuse: people aren't being tricked by AI images, they're being tricked by accusations real images are AI.
So this hoax went around recently...
Tumblr media
This image is old. It spread in 2017, it spread in 2020, and now it's spread in 2024. The Harris/Walz rally wasn't even in the Phoenix Convention Center, or in Phoenix. But it's now a core part of the "no one's attending their rallies!" campaign going on now
This may seem strange if you experience the news by non-conservative media, where you can't escape stories of Kamala Harris filling up massive stadiums & of Trump rallies full of empty seats. All evidence in reality points to Kamala Harris being extremely popular and to Trump's campaign faltering.
Tumblr media
But in MAGA land, Kamala Harris' crowds were generated with AI.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their claims: the crowd isn't in the reflection, and uh, the arms look weird. But also that there "aren't any other images".
But? There are? There was a livestream of that very plane landing (starting at 25)!
They're subjecting what they think is The Only Image of this rally in long Youtube videos and on Twitter and TikTok, and just...don't realize there's full, uncut, commentary-free video of it that was broadcast live. So why don't they realize that?
Well, I did a search for this rally on Fox News' website and guess what? They reported it exactly twice: once a interview with her while leaving that slammed her for "not taking press questions" enough, and a few clips of the Palestinian protestors at it, but not many, bc if you don't follow the far right they're trying to frame Kamala Harris as, like, a radical pro-Palestinian (or, as they say, "pro-Hamas") activist who wants to destroy Israel which, uhhhhhhhh
But another thread I found debunking this, by a former Trump-voting evangelical conservative turned critic of the same, gets at the heart of it
Tumblr media
People who said AI and deepfakes would be used to mislead the right were missing how misinformation actually works. Fox News et al don't suppress information by confusing the audience with misinformation; they suppress information by never letting them see it in the first place. They know that they have a captive audience who doesn't watch non-right-wing news (unlike the left, who are constantly aware of what's going on over at Fox).
They can just never mention or show Kamala Harris' rallies, or do so only in close-up, and they can frame Trump to only show shots where a crowd has gathered & make it seem like that's the norm, and their audience just has no chance to find out the truth. They're so propagandized that they just accept that there are no other images of that Kamala Harris rally, because, well, they were told there weren't, and would the news personalities they trust really lie to them?
And if any stray bits of reality float into the bubble, well, it was just AI. You know, how they have AI these days? AI's most important role in all this isn't as a vector for misinformation, it's as a rhetorical device for claiming real images and video are misinformation. You don't have to make images full of people with weird hands if you can get people circling real people's hands in red and pointing at it to prove reality was made in a computer.
These people don't know how popular Kamala Harris is. They don't know she's polling eight points higher than Trump. They don't know Harris is leading in right-wing biased polls. They're being told she's hiring actors at rallies, that her crowd photos are generated by AI, that Trump rallies are popular and hers are desolate.
This only likely to increase as we near the election because, well, Trump '24 is a shitshow. His campaign started out less popular than '16 or even '20, he picked maybe the worst VP pick in history, and he hasn't made a single effective attack on Harris/Walz. They were banking on facing Biden, and then on a chaotic open convention, but instead everyone closed ranks around Harris, and she instantly became the most popular Democratic candidate since 2008. We are cruising towards Trump/Vance not only losing, but losing in the closest thing to a landslide that's possible in our current system.
They're already laying the groundwork for, in the likely case of defeat, playing the "she stole the election!" card. Last time it was ad-hoc, because Trump thought he'd win. This time, they're already making "all her rallies are fake, all of her supporters are AI, they've already rigged it against Trump" a key strategy, and, I have to assume, their primary strategy as it gets closer to election day and the polls get worse. They've always lived in a bubble, but now it's a bubble designed explicitly to cause another January 6th. By claiming real photos have weird hands, and must totally be AI
