People don't talk about this scene enough, so I am going to.

Merlin fans tend to talk about the ending of the show, offering alternative endings which are interesting and exciting. However, I feel that not enough people appreciate those small scenes in Merlin that make all the difference.

This is a moment from the secret sharer (that one episode with our bestie Alator). The LIGHTING in this scene is phenomenal. The props and set design? Stunning. The camera angles? Beautiful. The way Colin Morgan is sat so that the light from the window hits his face at the perfect angle? Amazing.

There is so much thought and care in everything in this show, and don't even get me started on the music! The soundtrack is SO GOOD!! I understand the importance of major scenes and why they are talked about so much, but honestly it's the small moments that really make the show what it is for me.

percabeth at college (new rome) headcannons but in bullet points

they weren't used to not seeing each other every hour of every day

so when they learned that they would be having different classes that were on opposite sides of campus they were really nervous

the second giant war trauma was still pretty fresh on their minds so they always tried to see each other in between classes

just to make sure the other was still alive and breathing

every weekend they would celebrate making it through the week with a little walk around new rome and trying out a new place to eat

even though new rome was a safe haven for demigods they were still hesitant to be completely comfortable

whether it was percy always reaching for riptide when he heard a loud sound

or annabeth jumping when she realized that somebody ended up being closer to her than she thought they were

they were a bit peculiar to other demigods because of this

so many demigods had been living in peace for so long, so they didn't truly understand the extent of their doubts and worries

they were also always in physical contact with each other

whether it was the locking of fingers or knees grazing each other

they brought each other comfort

and were anchors to each other when everything became too much

they weren't used to the peace and quiet of the life they were currently living

but it would be a lie to say that it didn't give them hope for a future together

IF MERLIN WAS A GIRL, MERLIN AND ARTHUR WOULD’VE BEEN TOGETHER BY LIKE SEASON 3.

Let me break it down for you:

Hot peasant girl saves Arthur from getting killed. The king makes this girl bound to Arthur forever by making her Arthur’s servant. They fall in love.

Sound familiar? OR IF MERLIN CAME OUT SOMETIME AFTER 2019, THEY WOULD’VE MADE OUT BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE.

I love that Arthur’s way of telling Merlin he missed him/was worried about him, is to shout at him, because he didn’t attend to his manservant’s duties.

Think about it.

Arthur is the prince/king of Camelot. He could ask anyone, anyone, to assist him.

But no, he decided to put up with his clumsy oaf of a servant, and wants to stick with the idiot.

“What happened?!” “I had to do without a servant, that’s what happened!” “Where have you been?☹️”

That’s why the servants dressed George as Merlin. They hoped he could be enough😭.

Arthur, darling dear, ask someone else to clear the mess in your chambers, and admit you missed Merlin.
