paige comforting her gf on period or sick or something would love this
─ warnings | mentions of cramps and periods (UGH EWWWWWWWWW NOOO), paigey being a cutie per usual, whats new? nothing else!
you heard a soft knock coming from the door, feeling your stomach twinge in pain and irritation. but the irritation dissipated when you heard paige's muffled voice through the door.
"baby, can i come in?"
you replied with a grunt and paige took that as a yes and came in with two grocery bags. you sat up with an intrigued expression as your girlfriend sat down on your bed, throwing the bags on the floor.
her expression was empathetic as she reached out to gently touch your hand, her eyes searching yours for any sign of discomfort or irritation. "Hey," she said softly, her voice soothing. "I brought you some stuff to make you feel better."
you couldn't help but crack a small smile at her thoughtfulness, despite the lingering ache in your stomach. "what did you get?"
paige reached into one of the bags and pulled out a box of herbal tea and some crackers. "i thought this might help settle your stomach since you swore off ibuprofen," she explained with a teasing smile, setting them on the bedside table within your reach.
"i shouldn't have done that," you laughed before grumbling in pain. "god, i hate being on my period. it sucks."
paige's smile widened at your remark, a empathetic glint in her eyes as she reached out to gently rub your back. "i know, baby," she said, her tone understanding. "but hey, at least we can make it a little more bearable together, right?"
you leaned into her touch, feeling a surge of comfort from her words. "yeah you're right. thanks, p." you murmured, feeling grateful for her presence.
"okay how about..." she began to massage your back as you leaned into her touch more, closing your eyes. "you take a shower and i go get some take-out? taco-bell sound good?"
"is that your way of telling me i stink?" you teased as paige pulled you into her chest, a laugh escaping your lips as she nuzzled against your hair.
"nah, of course not," she said with mock offense, her voice tinged with amusement. "but a nice warm shower might help relax your muscles and ease some of that tension."
you grinned up at her, feeling a surge of affection for her. "taco-bell sounds perfect," you agreed, feeling a little more energized at the thought of indulging in some fast food.
paige leaned in to press a kiss to your temple before gently pulling away. "i'll go grab it while you take a shower, okay?" she said, her voice warm and reassuring. "i'll be back before you're done."
"is that a promise?" you pouted as she rolled her eyes, her heart swelling with affection for you and your damned clinginess (especially on your period).
paige chuckled softly, her eyes filled with affection as she looked at you. "yeah, yeah, it's a promise." she said, leaning in to press another quick kiss to your lips before pulling away with a grin. "i'll be back before you even have time to miss me."
you couldn't help but smile back at her, feeling a rush of warmth at her words. "alright, go get our taco-bell fix,"
with a laugh, paige headed out of the room, leaving you alone with your thoughts and the promise of comfort food on the way.

Time of the Month
AN: I'm suffering, so here's some of my faves reacting to their so having a rough time of the month.
He really doesn’t “get it”. 100% thinks you’re probably over reacting, however, you’re his sweetheart and he would do anything for you, so he’ll “play along” so long as he doesn’t need you for something else.
Won’t take time out of his busy schedule for you but he will:
Text you constantly through out the day.
Thinking of you doll x Are you sleeping? x You better be sleeping cause theres no other reason not to text back. HELLO??? ???? Sorry for loosing my temper baby, I love you. Just ordered those shoes you liked x
Will bring home/order dinner. He knows what you want, don’t worry babe, you don’t have to ask.
Still try to seduce you any way possible, he doesn’t care how messy it is.
Selina does not let her period slow her down, and so she’s hopeful that she can rub some of that off on you.
Has a yoga routine specifically catered to that time of the month that she’s happy to teach you. Has a diet plan that’s full of iron heavy and unsaturated fatty foods - leafy greens, dark chocolate, the good stuff.
Of course she understands her lifestyle isn’t for everyone, and what kind of cat themed thief would she be if she didn’t have a giant heated blanket she’s happy for you to stretch out on and spend your time lounging in true luxury.
Move over, she’s getting into bed with you. She’s stolen all of Brucie Wayne’s streaming service log ins, and she’s brought 50 different snacks that will make your bloating worse, but will feel and taste good in the moment.
Get ready for a week of binge watching whatever films make you feel good, eating way too much sugar, and sleeping whenever feels right.
Did you know orgasms can help relieve period pains, migraines, and generally relieve stress?
Did you know if you ask Waylon, he will eat you out until you can’t take anymore and/or are feeling any amount of respite?
If that’s really not your thing, be willing to also do basically anything you ask of him. Bring you snacks? Rub your back? Just hold you? Anything you want.
Will find the time look after you. Any excuse for some lazy time with his favourite birdie.
He runs hot, so it’s like having your own personal heat pad. Will find it endearing if you lay stomach down of his stomach, legs, whatever part so you can press his heat directly to the area that needs it.
Foodie and a snacker, so if you’re craving something, he’s got you covered, and he’ll eat it with you, no questions asked.
Knows a lot of ecologically friendly herbal remedies that are almost certain to work. Just sit back, chill out, and drink this tea.
In the very unlikely chance that those don’t work, and you’re down for it; Ivy is happy to fuck the cramps away, whatever your preferred method of orgasm may be.
The Riddler: Understands how periods work, but doesn’t care. You can’t let your body control you, or interfere with the mind. (yes he IS the worst kind of person when he’s sick.)
He does however have bunch of tips and tricks for helping overcome/cope with cramps and other symptoms.
Has a bucket load of ibuprofen handy at all times.
“Did you take the pills I gave you? Good. You know, coffee will help get that into your bloodstream faster, and might give you more energy. Since you’re making coffee, I’ll have one too, thanks, you’re the best. Well, I’m the best, but you’re good too.”

seventeen on your periods <3
a/n: these scenarios might or might not be inspired from my irl experiences lmfao, hope you like it as much as i liked writing it <3
svt x f!reader // headcanons // fluff // m.list words: 1.3k warnings: slight cursing
choi seungcheol
did someone say that his baby was hurting???? fully prepared with blankets, hot packs and soup to help your cramps; talked you out from your unhealthy cravings (coffee and dairy presumably worsen your cramps); used to be a bit clueless in the starting but did his research so that he could help you out <3 tries to spend his days with you and regularly texts you to see if you need anything. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR UTERUS IS COMING OFF?" calls 911.
yoon jeonghan
can see him teasing you for your foul mood and asking, are you on your period? on the days when you're just plainly... angry. he's eerily correct though (you usually get your periods in around 2-3 days after he quotes that hateful sentence), but is a sweet pie when you actually get them; he would take care of you, indulge in your cravings and cuddle you when you watch a series whether it be gore or the most slow burn shit you have ever seen <33
hong jisoo
he's so patient oh my god, the best one to have around to help your mood swings! he would patiently listen to your rant about how you tore the wrapper in a different way than you wanted to and then he would cheer you up??? like, oh god, marry me. he won't be clueless. at all. you're surprised that he knows so much about periods. "what do you mean coffee worsens cramps???" "yes baby, now put it down alright? I got dark chocolate for you." "you're the best<3"
wen junhui
boy makes you laugh so hard that you actually forget that you're on a period for a while lol. would cook and clean for you and gently kiss your forehead when you thank him for cooking so delicious meals; I can clearly see him calling you during shoots to ask if you need anything or if you're doing alright if he can't stay beside you (considering he travels a lot btw korea and china), would calm down your anger issues and it would almost seem like you both switched personalities. won't joke around too much because he doesn't wanna accidentally upset you, but he always and I mean always, does something so stupid that you end up cackling afterall.
kwon soonyoung
was clueless during the start despite having a sister; worked his way through research and observing you. you won't let him cook for you lmao, if you don't wanna cook you're ordering take out, but he's not cooking until he literally begs you to. but would gladly help you with other works, bringing groceries? buying sanitary pads and painkillers? stroke and play with your hair while you both cuddle together? all done. he doesn't do much but his presence calms you down, a lot. like really a lot. just him being near you is ibuprofen enough. "you sure you don't want me to do anything else?" "no... can you just hold me please?" "i will hold you for eternity <3"
jeon wonwoo
definitely tracks your periods, let's all your pre menstrual tantrums slide, will make you tea to calm down and educate you about periods, "apparently an average female spends nearly 10 years on her periods." feeds you food which helps relieve your period cramps. does every household chores if you're unable to do so, kisses your forehead amidst his work <3 oh also, would introduce you to cod/pubg where you can let go of your pent up anger (: "I WILL KILL YOU!" "you're doing great sweetheart."
lee jihoon
he's clueless, even more than hoshi. but he's smart so he caught up with it quite earlier than hoshi and you just didn't realise that he had zero and i mean ZERO idea about periods. like yeah he read about it in 8th grade but that's it, but would definitely be very attentive towards you and would spoil you with affection if that's what you desire. you just need to tell him what to do and he will do whatever you want. secretly buys your favorite food because your reactions are ten times more dramatic than normal and loves seeing you giggling because he did something nice. would get sad when you're not feeling your best though; can i do something to help uplift her mood? :(((
xu minghao
makes you green tea and asks you to meditate to calm your mood swings lmao. can see him trying his best to soothe you down by rubbing your back and playing with your hairs, gentle kisses on your cheeks as he urges you get up and take a hot shower and not act lazy. he's so prepared its almost scary than endearing. would also call you like three to five times while he's away... he would still not hesitate to calm down your delusions and force you back into reality from your sappy imagination. "i miss you :(" "i'm laying down right next to you." "i meant it figuratively!" "i miss my smart y/n too" "hey!!!!"
kim mingyu
be honest, you thought he was clueless right? he's not. not at all. he gets you hot towels to lightly soak your belly, gives you belly rubs, makes you soup, plays with your hair and massage your lower back to help your pain. you thought he was sweet? he's sweeter now! bam, you can't be mad at him anymore ahahahahaha. holds you close to him and runs his hand on your body; "I feel like shit gyu" "you're a pretty cute shit then"
lee seokmin
poor baby is clueless lmfao, you have to help him navigate through even basic stuff, definitely called you to ask your coochie's size because pads were available in different sizes. cooks you very delicious meals and fulfills all your cravings. your bad mood is not so bad anymore because he gave you his most radiant smile. his presence can heal you easily. "thought you felt sick?" "not now when you're here <3"
boo seungkwan
was sassing you out and then you started crying and then you revealed that you were on your periods and it all clicked. doesn't sass you, gossips! and gossips so much that you don't care about your cramps anymore! would sass other people to make you happy. takes care of you and regularly get you head pads for your aches, foot massages to make you happy <33 would definitely get sad when he sees you in pain tho :((
chwe hansol
man's chill as f and doesn't treat you any differently, while other members do tend to get a little cautious (more when you're bawling your eyes out after seeing a cat video), he won't treat you any different. he just kind of... adapts? you feel like shit? he does subtle things to make you feel good. you're emotional? hes there to be emotional WITH you. you want him to take care of you? no problem. he's there. always.
lee chan
please you can't not tell me that he was absolutely fucking clueless at first, was honestly scared when you lashed out on him for not picking up after himself and thought that you are always equally angry during your periods (who isn't lmao) he soon realised that you just have needs during that time and hormonal fluctuations just make you a little scary. would follow you like a puppy tho :( and carry out every single task obediently; would definitely wish to take away your pain. hes so sweet omg (would also ask your coochie's size)

could you write a story for any of your male OC when they feel nauseous in the morning but still stubbornly continuing their activities? thank you^^
Sure, thanks anon!
Even though Theo's been sober for over a year now, he wakes up hungover. At least it feels like a hangover. He considers for a second that maybe he blacked out, but he's positive he was home all night. Still, his head is absolutely pounding, and there's an uneasy, sick feeling in his stomach. He can feel it in his throat too.
He rolls over and buries his head in the pillow, as if it'll help. It doesn't. He takes a few moments to wallow in his discomfort before forcing himself up and out of bed. He has too much shit to do today.
There's meetings all morning, and an award show tonight. He has hair and makeup and wardrobe, then the carpet, then the actual show. Then an after-party a club in midtown. He probably won't be home tonight until 3 or 4 in the morning, and the thought alone makes his stomach feel even worse.
Worst of all, Seamus is not here. He's flying back from LA and he won't get in until about 2 AM, so Theo has to do everything by himself.
With any luck, the nausea and headache will go away once he has some food and takes an ibuprofen. He's not feeling particularly lucky.
His meetings are all video calls, but there are about five of them back to back, and he'll need to be awake and paying attention and looking presentable for all of them. He wolfs down some crappy scrambled eggs, ibuprofen, and coffee before the first meeting, but it doesn't seem to help. If anything, it's just getting worse. His stomach is cramping now, his head throbbing behind his eyes. Staring at the screen is pure torture, and he's tempted to put some sunglasses on, but he just lowers the brightness as much as he can and sips the peppermint tea Seamus always makes him drink when he's nauseous, even though it never seems to work that well.
In the middle of meeting four, the nausea spikes, and he knows he's about to vomit.
"Excuse me for one second," he says, voice wavering, before rushing to the bathroom. He makes it just in time, not even kneeling down before throwing up into the toilet bowl. When he's done, he's shaking all over, dizzy and exhausted. His head still hurts, but his stomach seems to have calmed down, which is a relief. He rinses his mouth as quickly as he can before walking back to where his laptop is perched on the coffee table.
He's half asleep for the rest of the meeting, just nodding along to whatever's said, and by the time meeting five rolls around, his stomach has started to churn again.
Still, he tries to ignore it, even as every sip of tea makes him want to gag. Every time he speaks he's afraid he's going to puke, but he manages to make it through without having to take another break. That said, by the time he closes his computer, he's in a cold sweat and shivering from trying to hold back the urge to throw up.
The second trip to the bathroom doesn't make him feel that much better, but at least he's no longer on the verge of puking. He has a half hour before the hair and makeup people arrive, but he knows better than to try and eat. He drinks a little more tea and takes more ibuprofen, but right as the whole crew is arriving, he throws it back up.
He's sure he looks terrible, but the stylists don't mention it. He barely speaks. His stomach hurts too much, his head is throbbing too hard. he can't even think straight, let alone put together a sentence.
The next thing he knows, he's on the red carpet, and his stomach feels the worst it has all day. The feeling of his waistband against his bloated stomach is hell, and he's actively having to swallow the bile he feels rising in the back of his throat. By the end of the carpet, he's sure if he opens his mouth he'll be projectile vomiting everywhere, but luckily for him, he manages to hold it back until he finds the bathroom inside the venue.
He's sure his stylist would be appalled if they knew he was kneeling on a bathroom floor in his thousand dollar suit pants, but Theo can't be bothered to care. He's too busy puking up the gatorade he drank in the car. His fever is only going up, and he wishes more than anything that he could just go home and get out of this suit and curl up in one of Seamus's sweatshirts, but can't. He's stuck here til midnight, then he'll have to show his face at the after party. The thought makes him want to cry, but he just wipes his chin and gets back up to face the rest of the night from hell.

I just wanna say I am 16 and have not started puberty after reading your post I don't want my period lol. Ugh
I won’t lie. Periods are rough as exampled by the post I had made
It was also worse for me though because my lower spine is unstable and the cramps caused the muscles to contract around it making the pain spread much further. That likely won’t happen to you
I do have some things that really help with period cramps that are very affordable
1. Raspberry leaf tea.
This is an herbal remedy that has been studied if you want to look it up.
It tastes kind of minty and I find that hot water is required for the brew but the lower the boil the better. Only 8 oz of water. Let the tea bag sit for for 10 minutes and then I like to add way too much brown sugar but whatever you prefer
You can also take it in pill form
2. Hydration
So tea makes you have to go pee so you really have to make sure your drinking water if you use the tea
But also water helps clear out lactic acid
Whether or not lactic acid causes your muscles to cramp is argued about in studies but I personally find that being hydrated is better than not being hydrated
3. Heat
Heat packs can easily be made with a sock and some rice but if you want a flatter one you can also look up how to make a weighted blanket and do a smaller version with rice instead of beads
You can apply it to exactly where it hurts
Or along your back
Or you can sit on it
I know the last one sounds weird but it helps so much I swear
4. Exercise
I know it can be hard especially because periods can be exhausting but helps
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT8YUwS91/
This video is really useful
5. Eating
I know with my cramps especially eating can be hard
But 90% of the time it helps
Literally anything helps
But I find protein dense food is the best even though carbs are what I always crave
6. Showers
You will likely end up feeling sticky or gross at the beginning and end of each day
Just rinsing off in the shower helps
This will also help your mental health because your period will mess with that
7. Rest and Communication
Rest is critical your body will be doing a lot
But if your family is anything like mine you will have to communicate multiple times that you need rest
It can be awkward to talk about your period but just pretend like it’s normal until it is even in front of boys this will help you a lot later if you ever on your period at school or later in work
The best phrases I find help (it will be different for everyone but you can use this a guide) the more confidently said (you can still be confident and quiet if you don’t want other people to know) the more likely the other person will be understanding/uncomfortable but not willing to say anything
“Hey, I just started my period. The cramps are really bad can I do *thing that helps you with cramps*”
“Hey, I’m on my period can I be excused from *things that might strenuous and stressful*”
“I really need to lay down. I’m tired and I’m in pain. Can I please do that?”
Another thing is that it might make you very irritable and you might have to get ready to apologize
It sucks
Especially because most of the time it’s because people are doing things they aren’t supposed to in the first place
But being female/afab means being socially responsible for responsible for other people’s stupidity and you getting annoyed with said stupidity
However don’t apologize for being on your period just apologize for your behavior. Apologizing for your period will cause them to (not always intentionally but some of them do) try to use your period to justify you being in a bad mood and therefore they should be able to get away with more
You can also take ibuprofen, Excedrin, Midol, and Pamprin
Don’t take more then the recommended amount. If the recommended amount isn’t working don’t go higher.
I have had doctors to tell me to just take more until I state out how many mgs that is and then they make a face and have to decide whether or not they want to back track or not
It’s not worth your liver, if the pain isn’t stopping with the recommended amount of pain killer then something is wrong and it needs to be checked out
Keep up to date with period studies. It can be frustrating but it’s good to know how science sees your bodily functions
A good example of this is that it wasn’t until this year that a study was done on period products that used blood instead of saline. This is going to change how doctors diagnose heavy bleeding
Anyways that’s all I got off the top of my head
But feel free to ask more questions.
I am an older sister to 3 younger siblings I got some experience

I'm gonna be honest with y'all, I haven't written anything new yet in the last couple of weeks and my body feels like it's falling apart. 😅
I spent most of the morning yesterday at Quick Care trying to figure out why I couldn't move my neck and why I was in enough pain to be crying pretty much uncontrollably. The culprit? Neck and muscle spasms.
But, I don't have paid time off or sick time so I had to be back at work. I got a shot of toradol, a prescription for low dose muscle relaxers, and was told to hydrate like hell and that I'd be getting a call early next week for the massage therapy referral they were sending in. Go back to work, power through, go home, lay on the couch, and read. Husband brings dinner home from my favorite pizza place because he's the best. As I'm getting ready for bed, the toradol wears off and my neck is in a fucking vice grip. Stretch, muscle relaxer, ibuprofen, cry until I fall asleep with my husband doing everything he can to convince me that this will pass.
Wake up this morning stiff as hell. Muscle relaxers are for bedtime, ibuprofen needs to be taken with food, I'm nauseous and again on the verge of tears but I don't have the option to stay home so I put on joggers and a soft long sleeve (a complete fuck you to the dress policy but I used all my fucks just getting out of bed), brush my teeth, and grab the heating pad to head to work.
So now I'm here, heating pad draped over my shoulder and neck, forcing tea and goldfish into my system, stumbling through the last day of the week, only to have my UTERUS BETRAY ME and now I've got cramps starting.
I just want to be at home under my thick, fuzzy blanket with my dog cuddled up to me and my husband rubbing my back but that's not happening so I'll just bitch and whine here instead. If you've gotten this far, thank you for reading. I know I'll be okay and blah blah blah, I'm just exhausted and haven't had a genuine break from life in years.
Pov: you're my computer screen and this is me rn

How to Get Your Period in One Hour?
How to Get Your Period in One Hour?
How to get periods overnight? How to get periods immediately if delayed? There are always several questions like this in your head, searching for accurate answers. As a woman, you would have come across many myths about inducing a period.
Is it safe to induce your period? Should you rely on home remedies or medication? While the internet offers numerous solutions, their effectiveness is often unproven.
In this article, we’ll review safe natural methods for inducing your period, discuss the potential causes of delays, and advise when to consult a gynecologist. Get to know the answer to how to get your period in one hour.
Causes of Delayed Periods
Stress:
High levels of stress can cause the body to release cortisol, disrupting hormonal balance and leading to irregular or missed periods.
Hormonal Imbalance:
Menstrual irregularities are frequently linked to imbalances in hormones like progesterone and estrogen, which can affect the frequency and intensity of your cycles.
Weight Changes:
Significant fluctuations in weight, whether gain or loss, can impact hormone production and may result in delayed periods. A low body weight, in particular, can disrupt menstrual cycles since fat is necessary for producing menstruation-related hormones.
Excessive Exercise:
Intense workout routines can interfere with your menstrual cycle. Over-exercising may lead to delays in your period.
Medical Conditions:
Certain medical issues, such as thyroid disorders, reproductive health concerns, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), can also result in delayed periods.
Foods to get Periods Immediately
Papaya:
Raw papaya is believed to promote uterine contractions, potentially bringing on menstruation. Its carotene content can elevate estrogen levels, possibly triggering an earlier cycle. Consume it raw or as juice twice daily.
Pineapple:
Containing bromelain, pineapple may help regulate menstrual flow and alleviate cramps. Research suggests it could reduce inflammation, which may be linked to irregular periods.
Ginger:
Ginger can raise body temperature, possibly leading to earlier periods. It's better to consume it in tea or cooked dishes rather than raw.
Dates:
Rich in iron, fiber, and natural sugars, dates may increase body temperature and encourage menstruation if eaten before your period.
Sesame Seeds:
Loaded with nutrients and healthy fats, sesame seeds contain lignans that might help regulate estrogen levels, promoting menstruation.
Spices:
Spices like ajwain, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, and turmeric can stimulate the menstrual cycle, so consider adding them to your meals.
Yoga for Inducing Your Period
How to get your period in one hour with exercise? Is it possible to get periods early by doing yoga and exercise? Most people can practice yoga at home, a physical meditation type. This age-old method is used daily by a large number of people to enhance their well-being. It could be possible to control periods by doing yoga.
Bow Pose (Dhanurasana):
This pose enhances blood flow to the pelvic area and stimulates abdominal organs, helping to regulate the menstrual cycle while reducing stress.
Camel Pose (Ustrasana):
This stretch can improve blood circulation in the pelvic region and help balance hormones, potentially inducing menstruation.
Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana):
Cobra pose stimulates the abdominal area, increases blood flow, and may assist in hormonal balance.
Butterfly Pose (Baddha Konasana):
This pose encourages blood circulation in the pelvic area and may alleviate menstrual discomfort while promoting regularity.
Which tablet is used to get periods immediately?
Progestin-only Pills:
These can help balance hormones and may induce menstruation. Combined oral contraceptives, containing both progesterone and estrogen, can also help regulate cycles.
GnRH Agonists:
Typically used to manage endometriosis, these injections can delay menstruation. NSAIDs like ibuprofen can alleviate period pain without inducing menstruation.
Always consult with a doctor before taking any medication to induce menstruation, as individual needs and potential side effects vary.
Additional Methods to Induce Your Period
Sexual Activity:
Orgasm can cause cervical dilation, allowing menstrual blood to flow. Engaging in sexual activity can also help reduce stress and maintain hormonal balance.
Exercise:
Targeted lower body exercises can help stimulate your menstrual cycle. Moderate physical activity may assist in restoring hormonal balance for those with irregular periods.
Warm Baths or Heat Packs:
Applying heat to your lower abdomen may improve blood flow and potentially trigger menstruation. A hot bath can also help you relax, which may be beneficial.
When to Consult a Doctor
Seek medical advice if you experience any of the following:
- Periods stop before age 45
- Regularly irregular cycles
- Missing three consecutive periods without pregnancy
- Bleeding during or after sex
- Any bleeding post-menopause
Conclusion
Irregular periods can result from various factors such as hormonal imbalances, stress, poor diet, and conditions like PCOS. Leading a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate sleep is the most effective way to ensure timely periods.
Consult the best gynecologist in Bangalore and clear all your doubts about menstrual issues and reproductive health.

Alleviating Menstrual Cramps: Medications, Home Remedies & Prevention Tips
Almost every woman can understand this feeling – the unbearable pain under the belly indicating that your period is here. Menstrual pain can be just a mild discomfort for some women, but it could be severely disturbing pain for others, disrupting even the simplest routine tasks. It can also affect your quality of life for those particular days.
When dealing with such discomfort, you automatically look for comfort in various tablets for menstrual pain. Several over-the-counter medicines are available to help you see the pain and get back to your normal life. However, it is crucial to understand that not everything is going to suit your body. From a number of pain relief products available in the market, you must know the one that best suits your pain type and body needs.
This blog aims to help you learn about the various strategies for menstrual cramps management. Read about various medications, home remedies, and preventive measures to get long-lasting relief and improve overall well-being during menstruation.
What are Menstrual Cramps?
Menstrual cramps, scientifically called dysmenorrhea, occur due to the movements in the uterus. Your uterus sheds its lining during menstruation, leading to contractions triggered by the release of prostaglandins, hormone-like substances that cause the muscles in the uterus to contract. Higher levels of prostaglandins lead to more intense contractions, resulting in more severe cramps.
Tablets for Menstrual Pain & Cramp Relief
Many women usually feel that over-the-counter medication is effective in getting relief from menstrual cramps. Here are some of the commonly used pain relief products and medicines:
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, aspirin, etc., are commonly used to relieve menstrual cramps. They work by lowering the amount of prostaglandins your body makes. Prostaglandins can make your uterus contract and lead to cramps. NSAIDs can also reduce inflammation, which can add to the pain during your period.
Acetaminophen
Acetaminophen is another over-the-counter pain reliever that can help alleviate menstrual cramps. Unlike NSAIDs, acetaminophen does not reduce inflammation. But it can still effectively reduce pain associated with menstruation. Remember to follow the recommended dose to avoid liver damage.
Combination Medications
Some over-the-counter medicines are made specifically to help with menstrual cramps. They might contain a mix of ingredients, like a pain reliever (like acetaminophen, ibuprofen, etc.) and a diuretic (to reduce bloating). These medicines can give you relief from several period symptoms at once.
Prescription Medications
If your menstrual cramps are very severe and over-the-counter medicines don't help, your doctor might prescribe stronger pain relievers or other medicines to manage your symptoms. It's important to use these medicines exactly as your doctor tells you to.
RESET tablets
RESET Pain Relief Tablets are a natural and safe solution crafted from herbal ingredients, guaranteeing a side-effect-free remedy for pain. These tablets prioritize your well-being, offering an effective alternative without compromising on results. They are entirely herbal and can be safely used alongside other medications, ensuring compatibility with your ongoing treatment.
Home Remedies
While medicines work for most women, not all of you can benefit from them. Here are some home remedies that can also help get relief.
Eating foods rich in calcium, omega-3 fatty acids, and magnesium and reducing intake of caffeine, alcohol, and salty foods can help reduce the severity of menstrual cramps.
Taking a warm bath/shower or applying a heating pad to the pain area can help relax the uterus muscles and reduce menstrual cramp pain.
Certain herbal remedies, like ginger tea, cinnamon, chamomile tea, etc., are believed to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties that can help ease menstrual cramps.
Doing regular physical activities, like swimming, walking, etc., can also help alleviate menstrual cramps as they increase blood flow in the body and release endorphins, which are considered to be natural pain relievers.
Prevention Tips
Other than using pain relief products and home remedies, some preventive measures can also assist in keeping your menstrual cramps under control:
Maintain a healthy lifestyle with well-balanced diet and regular exercise.
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
Consider using hormonal birth control to regulate your menstrual cycle.
Explore alternative therapies like acupuncture or chiropractic care.
Consult your healthcare expert or doctor if you have severe cramps for personalized advice.
Final Word
Menstrual cramps are a common and often uncomfortable part of menstruation for many women. However, with the right approach, including tablets for menstrual pain, home remedies, and preventive measures, you can easily get relief from the disturbing pain and discomfort felt during these cramps and improve productivity. By understanding the different causes and exploring various treatment options for menstrual cramps, women can take proactive steps to manage this common issue and enjoy better well-being during their menstrual cycles.

Managing Menstrual Pain: Tips for a Pain-Free Period
Menstrual pain is a common and often debilitating experience for many women. While it's a natural part of the menstrual cycle, it doesn't mean you have to suffer in silence. This article will provide you with valuable tips and insights on how to manage menstrual pain effectively, allowing you to have a pain-free period. Consulting a public obstetrician in Australia can be an excellent option if you're looking for guidance on managing menstrual pain and related issues.
Understanding Menstrual Pain
Menstrual pain, also known as dysmenorrhea, can vary in intensity and duration from one woman to another. It typically occurs in the lower abdomen and pelvis and is often accompanied by cramps, bloating, and mood swings. There are two types of menstrual pain:
Primary Dysmenorrhea:
Primary dysmenorrhea is the most common type of menstrual pain and is not associated with any underlying medical condition. Uterine contractions usually cause it as the body sheds the uterine lining during menstruation.
Secondary Dysmenorrhea:
Secondary dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain resulting from an underlying medical condition, such as endometriosis or fibroids. This type of pain is usually more severe and may require medical intervention.
Tips for Managing Menstrual Pain
Over-the-Counter Pain Relievers:
Over-the-counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen or naproxen can help alleviate menstrual pain. These medications work by reducing inflammation and relieving cramps. However, following the recommended dosage and consulting a healthcare professional, like a public obstetrician, is essential for long-term pain management.
Heat Therapy:
Applying heat to the lower abdomen can provide significant relief from menstrual cramps. You can use a heating pad hot water bottle, or even take a warm bath. Heat helps relax the uterine muscles, reducing pain and discomfort.
Exercise:
Regular physical activity can help reduce menstrual pain by promoting blood flow and releasing endorphins, which act as natural painkillers. Activities like yoga, walking, and swimming can be particularly beneficial. Consult your healthcare provider or public obstetrician for tailored exercise recommendations.
Dietary Changes:
Certain dietary adjustments can help manage menstrual pain. Increasing your intake of foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon and flaxseeds, may help reduce inflammation. Additionally, reducing caffeine, sugar, and processed foods can alleviate bloating and mood swings associated with menstruation.
Relaxation Techniques:
Stress can exacerbate menstrual pain, so practising relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or mindfulness can be helpful. These methods can reduce tension and improve your overall well-being during your period.
Birth Control Options:
Discussing birth control options with a public obstetrician can help manage menstrual pain. Some birth control methods, such as hormonal birth control pills, patches, or intrauterine devices (IUDs), can regulate your menstrual cycle and reduce the severity of cramps. Your healthcare provider can guide you in choosing the most suitable option.
Herbal Remedies:
Some herbal supplements, like ginger or cinnamon tea, may provide relief from menstrual pain due to their anti-inflammatory properties. However, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional before using herbal remedies, as they may interact with other medications or conditions.
Consulting a Public Obstetrician
If your menstrual pain is severe, persistent, or interfering with your daily life, seeking medical advice from a public obstetrician in Australia is essential. These healthcare professionals specialise in women's reproductive health and can provide comprehensive assessments and treatment options tailored to your needs.
Public obstetricians can diagnose and treat underlying conditions that may be causing your menstrual pain, such as endometriosis, fibroids, or pelvic inflammatory disease. They can also guide long-term management strategies and discuss surgical interventions if necessary.
Managing menstrual pain effectively is essential for improving your overall quality of life and well-being during your period. Following the tips mentioned above and consulting with a public obstetrician when needed, you can find relief from menstrual pain and enjoy a pain-free period.
Remember that every woman's experience is unique, so it's crucial to personalise your approach to find what works best for you. Don't let menstrual pain hold you back; take proactive steps to ensure a more comfortable and pain-free menstrual cycle.
