GOD THIS FANDOM IS FUCKING INSUFFERABLEEEEEE!!!!
Here is the context for my rant I am about to do. Ghost just posted it.

You all really need to stop being selfish, and this isn't even directed toward the people specifically complaining about this show being canceled. The number of people in the comment section acting like it is Ghost's fault and blaming them because THEY CHOSE to buy plane tickets and go out to that ritual. Yes it fucking sucks, yes you'll be out some money, but it was your choice to put the risk into making extra expenses for this ritual.
The reaction is the exact same as when Ghost had to cancel a couple of shows in the US for the re-imperatour BECAUSE OF A FUCKING HURRICANE.
None of you actually fucking care do you? You're all just selfish pieces of shit. Seeing just how much this fandom has gone downhill since october, no since MOAC blew up is fucking horrendous.
The way you all are blaming Ghost too for this??? Literally, they're apologizing and STATED IN THE POST that the VENUE can not ACCOMMODATE WHAT THEY NEED. This is the exact same situation as with the hurricanes. Everyone was fucking blaming Ghost because they chose to spend extra fucking money on traveling out to that specific ritual. The number of people who got so pissed from the hurricane at them was actually unbelievable, too. They had to cancel not only for YOUR safety, BUT ALSO, THEIRS.
I understand that it may be upsetting for you because of it, but you're such a piece of shit if you think it's okay to get mad at and blame Ghost. Everyone should know the financial risk that comes with choosing to go to a ritual out of your area. That isn't their fault.
There are also so many people being like "Well they could've at least rescheduled it! Now they're just leaving us behind!" Do y'all not understand the amount of preparation and scheduling that is needed for a world tour? Like seriously? Are you fucking stupid? Like yeah, it would be nice for them to reschedule, but if they don't, it's likely cause they literally do not have the time for it. And even them, THEY JUST ANNOUNCED IT. For the canceled shows in the re-imperatour, it was SEVERAL DAYS before they announced a new date, but it was with the same venues. They would have to not only find a completely different venue in the area, but also the venue would have to have an opening in the near future.
Do y'all just like- lack reading comprehension? Do y'all ever stop to actually think before you post shit like ever? Or are all of you too selfish and self-centered around this band that you think you'd be the special exception?
Honestly I'm so fucking tired of this fandom.

Sorry sky im stealing ur tags rq to just discuss a bit more (under the cut, is long sorry)

I think the main and biggest thing I've noticed with anton, and again I'm a person who knew of him before BBTW, and I never got into BBTW because I was already put off by one of his posts dragging the fandom. But that's just it though, isn't it? This fandom and how it interacts with its source material isn't just something you can separate. The source we all orbit around, the horror stories, nosleep forums, is very different from creepypasta as a fandom. As a fandom, we really only focus on a small subset of what's available, we focus on the characters like Jeff or Slenderman or Ben, so on and so forth. Most people that get into this fandom are young: I got into it when I was maybe 11 or 12, I know most people get involved in it around that age to 16 years old. Most of us are neurodivergent, have been bullied or victims of abuse or some form of ostracization or othering, and we connect to this fandom *because of that.* You cannot detach that aspect of this fandom from the rest of the fandom. We saw stories (most badly written but we were young so who really cares) about characters that were bullied and abused and snapped (Jeff), people struggling with mental illnesses and situations out of their control (MH, most slenderverse series really), characters that have had horrible tragedies happen to them (Ben, Sally, EJ, Liu, need I go on?) and they persevere and keep going. This is the essence of this fandom. We are all misfits that found our little community and family on the internet. Ergo, our misfits we imprinted on, we want to see the characters we care about have a happier life. Slender mansion au anyone? Ever noticed how it mimics how we make our own communities?
That was the main thing that stuck out to me about anton's rants. I do understand what he was getting at, he is far from the only person to complain about the "woobification" of the characters of this fandom. But if it wasn't for the silly teenagers who imprinted on these fake killers like baby ducks, most of these characters would have been lost to time in the forums. Again, these stories weren't good!!! There are a few exceptions (jadusable I love you /p), but the main guys like Jeff and EJ had SHIT stories. EJs author Azelf literally removed the og story because they said it was terrible and people deserved better writing. You cannot just disregard the fandom and the kids and teens and young adults that made it what it is; it's a slap in the face to the entire culture of this fandom. It's in bad taste, its shallow, it's not really making anything better (again, havent read the comic so this statement is more on what I've seen from other people in the fandom).
There seems to be a prevalent belief that by adding more violence and gore, that you're somehow making it more "mature" and better written. You're not. Violence and gore and brutality isn't what makes a good "mature" story. Handling complex themes in a thoughtful way is how you make a mature story. And hey, you can do that without making your characters irredeemable horrible awful people. Why is there such a focus on characters having to be awful and irredeemable? There are so many ways to write these guys to be interesting and thoughtful without writing them as literal monsters. Not that that's a bad thing! But it's often seen in fandom as an either or. You get woobified husbando Jeff the Killer yaoi, or interpretations where he's abusive, misogynistic, a rapist, etc. There is so few in-between, and I cling to the writers that find it.
Another prevalent issue with the whole fandom, one that is thankfully being addressed, is how female characters were treated. This fandom was misogynistic as HELL, and I'm so glad people are giving characters like Jane and Nina justice, and are making MORE female characters that are actually complex and don't boil down to just. Self insert ship characters. Again, nothing wrong with that! But as a writer, lover of girls and women, and feminist, *those were our only options back then* and it sucked. I won't address this much more because like I said, times are changing some, but yeah. It was bad.
And I'll gloss over what sky said too, I also personally don't think there's anything wrong writing toxic or unhealthy dynamics. If I did, I'd be a hypocrite, a HUGE one. Purity culture in all fandoms rn is insane, and its especially hilarious in this one cuz baby. We are writing serial killers. And you're. Crying because two of them have an unhealthy relationship 💀 girl they're MURDERERS. I digress, call me a freak or whatever, its perfectly fine to write fictional relationships as fucked up and unhealthy. It's fun to explore, its fun to read, its a way to understand and process these dynamics in a healthy environment and sanitizing it does more harm than good. Some of yall conservative as hell and its concerning.
Anyways. I don't know what other controversies anton has been in, all I know is how he talks about the fandom really. I tuned out after that. And again, don't know about his story, but I remember going through his blog while this was going down and being disappointed because his art is fucking good!! I'm sure his comic slaps ass!! But I just can't vibe with someone who so blatantly hates what this fandom is and has such contempt for the people who literally made this fandom what it is, its nuts really. It truly is just contempt for the media and it seems like he has a lot of spite for the fandom. I also just can't vibe with people who egg on hate-attention and thrive from it, but that's a personal thing and not like. Something i view as bad morally, I don't really think it is because it's not really hurting anyone other than our immediate attention lol.
But yeah. Rant over
Why I No Longer Support Anton Morrow Or Blessed Be The Wicked
Okay, we're finally doing this. As always: Do NOT harass anyone involved. This is not what this post is for.
So, this has been a long time coming. I know I keep repeatedly saying that I don’t wanna cause drama but at this point? It’s not even a drama anymore. There’s a glaring issue that’s been circulating the fandom for a while, and up until now, people have either been ignoring it completely or are too scared to say anything at all — which is understandable. I’m frankly scared to be finally making this post. But with most of the fandom beginning to speak up on this, now is a better time than ever.
You’ve all most likely seen my latest, very angry, Jeff rant post, and some of you might have already put together as to who it was about: Anton Morrow, the creator of Blessed be the Wicked.
If any of you remember the whole “mistype” situation that happened in 2024 revolving around BBTW, you already know I have gotten into a bit of a spat with him before. Then it was all cleared up, and we were chill. But now, with all that’s been happening, I’m starting to question that situation as well.
When it comes to creepypasta, you gotta acknowledge and respect both sides of the fandom, because more often than not, they tie together. Anton, however, doesn’t do this at all, creating a space where people feel unsafe and uncomfortable like they have to walk on eggshells.
We are not mad at the fact that you are trying to make BBTW horrifying, grotesque, and realistic. In fact, a LOT of people were hyped for your project. No, we’re mad that you have to be an asshole about it. Shaming anything that doesn’t fit into your view of what a character SHOULD be, hating on the fandom way more than you claim to love it, villainizing characters that should not be villainized, like Jane, who’s a VICTIM of Jeff, not doing proper research (apparently not knowing that Clockwork was an SA victim despite her being your “favorite character”), being a fucking hypocrite (hating shock value yet using it in your work as well), and most of all, claiming to be bringing back the old roots of Creepypasta when you don’t even understand or know what those roots are.
This fandom has ALWAYS been cringy, weird, and unrealistic. I mean, we have a tall faceless man in the woods, a magical black and white clown, and a guy whose skin turned completely white because of BLEACH. This fandom was never realistic!
You can only use the “I mistyped” or “you all misunderstood me” excuse so many times.
Are you telling me you didn’t mean ANY of this?
Like, if I recall, David Near’s, MBK’s, Pastra’s, AND Ekatlani’s Jeff’s are NOT soft boys at all. But you refuse to acknowledge that, don’t you? Because even if they are closer to what you claim to be looking for within a Jeff rewrite, you still hate them because they weren’t what YOU THINK the character could be.
But somehow, that’s not even the worst part. No, the worst thing has to be what you’ve done to Leech. Characters change, I understand that. My personal gripe with her not being the character I initially was excited for anymore is just my personal bias. What’s NOT, however, is the relationship you’ve put her in with Tyrant.
Now, I’m all for toxic relationships. I’ve written them myself, but this? This is straight-up fucking grooming. It’s non-consensual, and you straight-up called Tyrant PREDATORY.
And the fact that you tried to edit your post to hide what you said first tells me all I need to know.
Not to mention, you continuously like to bring up how much YOUNGER she is than the other two (Context: She's in a poly relationship with Tyrant and a character named Marc)
This goes past a toxic relationship, this is straight up fucking CREEPY. You admit that Tyrant is using his VICTIM, cause that’s what she fucking is, as a way to feel like he’s not all the negative, that “he deserves love.” No. Just no.
I’m disappointed. Tired, angry, and disappointed. I thought you were a cool guy, Anton. I thought all of you were cool. I was genuinely excited for Blessed Be The Wicked, as I’m sure a lot of the fandom was. But you showed your true colors the moment your project began to get popular.
Not so politely, fuck you. And if all you can do is complain about is the fandom having fun, fuck off.

Hey, so I know this is probably something that not many can relate, but I wanted to ask here anyways:
How do you guys do to not feel alone or lonely in fandoms? I'm not mostly active in a small one and almost all of us know each other, but yet seems like I'm an outcast. When I hear that most of the members are DMing one another or creating little creative groups and yet somehow no one tries to dm me and brainstorm ideas... or when some of them have called me their friends yet I try to keep contat and the friendship going and it feels like I'm just being pushy or stupid for trying.
Is funny, because in a way it was some of my fics that rebuilt the community around this fandom, and still it feels like I'm here to churn out fics and that's it. All the fandom interaction I get is minimal and seems like a chore to the others. I haven't felt this alone in fandom communities in the past.
Maybe it's how modern fandom is and I'm being nostalgic for the fandom experience of a decade ago, or maybe it's my brain being stupid. But yeah, just, what do you guys do if you ever feel lonely in fandom spaces? Could use the help. Also, love the blog. Have a nice day :)
--
Okay, first, one hundred percent, your brain is being stupid. I'm having a bad brain day today myself. There could also be some other stuff going on, but let's be real: your brain is being stupid. Not feeling lonely is at least half about general mental health management.
I don't think fandom is necessarily always lonely now. I do find that I've done a bad job of cultivating close friendships lately. I'm trying to finish up some projects, and my kid is entering a phase where it's hard to go to events. I think it's very easy to not have enough energy to make social things happen. It's also easy to not remember how much effort one put in in the past or to not have noticed at the time since one was in a more energetic, excited phase or happened to be in some situation where one ran into potential friends without trying (school or the like).
Now, it sounds like you're already putting in some work trying to connect with people. That's good. That's a necessary, though not always sufficient, step. It's hard to tell from the outside whether other people find it a chore. I'd guess that's more your brain sabotaging you than reality.
I think there's a strong possibility that these DMs you aren't privy to are less awesome than you think. People tend to assume everyone around them is doing better—better than those other people actually are and better than themselves. They seem okay on the surface! They must have their shit together, unlike me! (Spoiler: they probably don't.)
It's certainly possible that you're great at fic but much less good at conversation. If the things you want to chat about just don't mesh well with these other people's style, a DM conversation will grind to a halt. I can give the usual advice about being genuinely interested in others and remembering to ask about them, but it's totally possible there's just a natural mismatch that can't be fixed. It's also possible they all hang out on some discord together that sparks the DM conversations, but you don't like discord and thus aren't there when the conversations break off like that. Substitute twitter or zoom or whatever other divisive format as applicable.
I suppose the times I've really had a good connection discussing meta thoughts on some character or canon have been when I had a beta or someone I was brainstorming with. When you post fics, perhaps you could add a note that you're looking for someone like that, or you could offer to beta for others.

You know what? I'm crying.
I'm going to have a long post translated into English because I'm bad at English and because I have too many emotions. The fourth episode was definitely a bombshell. In many ways. They gave us a lot of interesting questions and NOT a SINGLE DAMN ANSWER, and it's not like it's a problem. It's cool that Ling Lin has finally begun to realize himself and his desires in isolation from the forced image. It's cool that he ran to save Moon and realized how important it was to him. It's cool that so many people supported him, he's a bunny/sunshine/bun/big guy (as you like it better) and all that. But...
They replaced Nice so quickly...
Okay, let's say again: it was literally publicly announced to the fans that their hero, the man they believed in all this time, was not only replaced by someone completely different, but also because he died. He is not tired, he has not resigned, he has not given up his heroic work, no. Died. And okay, thanks to Ling Lin for not talking about "suicide." He's talking about "death." You can take his words in any way you want (although that's not the point, but still). It just kills me to think that no one, except for the person who was really close to Nice (Wrek), began to grieve for him. Okay, it hasn't been a day since Lin Lin's revelation, I get it. But at the end of the fourth episode, we are shown how the advertisement with Nice's face changes to Linlin's face and no one seems to notice, as if it were....normal? Of course, when the heroes in the world are constantly changing each other and appear and disappear as if at the click of your fingers (yeah, yes, understood, understood at the click of your fingers ha ha) changing a hero at the tenth rank shouldn't be unusual, but... Do the previous heroes get forgotten so quickly?
The first three episodes were filled with the fans' love for Nice. Peculiar, but warm in its own way. They cheered for him, they came to fan meetings, they supported him as much as they could.....And they forgot about him so quickly? Just because.......and why, exactly?
I'm pretty sure they'll show us the backstory of what happened. There is no way such a complex and at the same time terribly interesting character could be so easily forgotten by its creators. Especially considering the shot that recently appeared on Twitter...
In general, the phenomenon of Nice's character and his popularity among the fandom is a topic for a separate conversation, we are not ready for this conversation yet.
But I know for sure that no matter how the creators made him, no matter how crazy, broken, abusive and generally unstable he actually is, I will be delighted.
(what's the point, I'll support him even if he decides to rise from the dead and kill all the other heroes)
((Go ahead, dear! You're walking the road of rage and revenge, and who are we to stop you?)) So! I'm leaving a small message here (rather for myself) because I know that we still have a lot of interesting things to learn about other characters and many of my thoughts will get lost in the flood of new information.
DON'T FORGET HIM.
Never forget that he existed. He was there. It all started with him. And probably it all will end with him.

"End" of the Kiki-Kit Saga (For me at least)
Okay, I've been waiting for a while to make this post and quite frankly, it's one I really didn't expect to make. But, having started this topic in October, I felt it was important to also end it even if it's not a great end overall.
You may remember back in October 2024 that I made this post regarding the artist Kiki-Kit. She's pretty well known in the Gravity Falls fandom and worked on Lost Legends. Long story short, she'd been ghosting me and many other people for months regarding commissions we had gotten from her in January of that year. That first post goes into detail about it all and has the specifics but basically, after finding out there were people waiting years for her to respond to them, I felt compelled to make that post to call her out and hopefully get more eyes on this issue as Kiki had seemed to be getting away with this behavior for a while. Well, good news (sorta), for me at least, it's now over...
Kiki-Kit Refunded me!
I'd love to be happy about it but quite frankly, to even get this was a pain in the ass. As I said in the first post, Kiki never responded to DMs or even the email she had set up for commissions. So, as a last resort, I contacted a friend of hers that she had mentioned back in January during her commissions request period. I won't name them as they never were involved in this, but I got in touch with them via Bluesky and asked if they could let Kiki know I was trying to reach her but can't. And low and behold, the very next day she actually FINALLY DM's me for the first time in over a year!
I should say, this happened back on February 9th of this year (it'll make sense in a sec why it took me so long to make this). On one hand, it was nice that she did finally DM me but I can't lie, it felt very suspicious and off to me that it literally had to take me contacting someone she knows about it. Someone who never was involved in this and had no reason to be and that in turn was what finally got her to respond to me.
Kiki did explain herself and without sharing her PM, I will say I fully understand her position. As she stated back in June 2024, she's going through a pretty rough time and even her reasoning for doing these commissions were for financial reasons I am sympathetic to her for. I wanna make clear again, this was never a case of "artist is taking too long on my art and I am impatient!" I get it. Everyone like me in this situation gets it! Artists are humans like you and me and things can happen and they have every right to take breaks, be offline, etc.
But where the problem was, was that Kiki-Kit NEVER responded to any update request going back months. I tried every appropriate channel of communication I could to no avail. I'm understanding, but I also am a paying client and if nothing else, a simple update would suffice. She never gave me even that until now and the way I had to get it out of her was beyond what someone should have to do to get that.
She did admit to me she is aware of this problem of hers of not communicating properly and seeming to ignore clients. If nothing else, I was appreciative she admitted where she was wrong. I told her back she really needs to improve on that and also, given she gave me the choice, I asked for a refund. Even though she offered me assurance she will get these commissions done, I'm not dealing with her anymore and I wanted my money back.
And then guess what? Kiki-Kit GHOSTED ME AGAIN!!
This all happened on February 9th. Well, March 9th, one month after that first exchange rolls around and I still hadn't heard from her. I follow up, no response. She hadn't communicated at all since February! Finally, on March 25th, the day she refunded me, Kiki FINALLY gets back with some excuse about why it took so long and again apologizing. I'm not even gonna bore you with what she said this time around as it was another of the same excuses and "I'm sorry." At least this time I got my money back.
I was as nice back to her as I could be but holy fucking shit, I was beyond angry and disappointed in her. It really didn't seem to sound like she really even cared. I mean, the fact it took her over a month again to get back to me after apologizing and saying she was working to be better at communicating really left me running out of sympathy for her.
And again, I should stress, I'M NOT MAD AT KIKI-KIT FOR NOT DELIEVERING MY COMMISSION! IDC if I had to wait a year for it if she had been proper in her communication and transparency about why she was offline and not responding. This was always a communication issue, NOT an issue with it taking so long. Yes, she gave a reason in June, but then vanished for months yet again and still technically speaking, she hasn't officially posted anything since August 2024.
If you pay someone for a service and they then just vanish and not pick up your calls or respond to your texts or emails, you're gonna be suspicious. Excuses are a whole other story but even so, at least you are getting a response. I could've understood it if that was what she did. But a year without any response whatsoever, only one update in June 2024, multiple people coming out and saying they too have been waiting for months or even years for a response to no avail and finally me having to contact a 3rd party just to get her to fucking respond? Either Kiki-Kit is the worst at keeping track of her DM's, or she purposefully is banking on people not saying anything about her ghosting and just hopes they forget they ever bought something from her or give up after enough time with no response and accept they lost that money.
I mean, @foxieskullz was waiting since 2019 and similarly to me, it was her persistence and constant talking about it that probably was what finally made Kiki-Kit respond.
As of today, April 26th, it's been 1 month since Kiki refunded me. I told her once again when she did that she needs to contact all the other people she was paid to make art for and give them the same offer of a refund or promise to finish their art. Given it's been a month since that, I decided to reach out to some of those people to see if Kiki actually made good on that.
I contacted my friend Darkshade on Discord who also bought a commission from her that January about if she had heard back from Kiki and sure enough, she hasn't!
I also contacted @animepianistgirl2 who also has been waiting and similarly, no response from Kiki-Kit either. Hell, I was looking through my old posts about it and I saw even stephreynaart said she'd gotten a commission from her and still no response. That was back in June, so I haven't asked her yet about if she got a response or not since then, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a no too. When even a person as respected and popular in the fandom as Steph is probably in the same boat, then things really are looking bleak.
IDK what else to say. I'm disappointed beyond belief. Maybe this is my GF fandom version of "never meet your heroes," but I still am so upset that of all people, Kiki-Kit could be like this. She's a legend in this fandom and was respected and loved by fans long before I ever joined. Her fanart was some of the first I ever saw and I celebrated with the rest of the fandom in 2018 when she got her moment to shine as an illustrator in Lost Legends and even meeting Alex Hirsch in person at a book signing event for it.
She's been in so many fan projects. She's a name everyone on GF Tumblr probably knows and respects. So, yeah, to have to say all this about her is not easy even now. I am so grateful to all of you who heard me out in October when I made my post about this. I was afraid to post it given even with all the people who came out and said the same thing, I was worried people would side with her due to the notoriety she has and just the thought that someone like her would never do this. But the response was incredible (I even had long time GF fans and artists who were friends of Kiki-Kit agreeing that her actions here were not right) and if nothing else, I hope it maybe helped spread word about this and get people to be more aware.
Kiki-Kit, if you see this, know that I am upset. I really hope you are doing okay and that you can overcome the hardships in your life that maybe led you to being like this right now. I don't believe you meant to be like this with malicious intent but it's what happened and you now need to fix that. I appreciate that you refunded me, but I am still mad. You have not refunded anyone else or even spoken to them even after I told you that you should. You ignored everything I said, even after you admitted yourself that you have a problem with communicating.
I hope you seriously work on improving your communication. I really hope you offer everyone left waiting a chance to either get their art finished or refund them. My posts are not going away. If you ever try to open commissions again, I am making sure people see these and know what kind of person you are to those who pay you. I hate having to spread negative shit like this on my platform, but if it spares another fan from losing money to you, then so be it. I had to wait only a year. Foxie was waiting since 2019 (and you gave her a similar set of excuses and apologies and probably never read anything she told you like you did to me)! And don't forget Jolliejackdaw who you blocked on Twitter and has been waiting since 2020!
I don't want anyone else to be in this same boat. Either commit to better communicating with your clients, or don't bother asking people for commissions next time. This could've all been resolved privately if you just bothered to talk. But you didn't. And now this all had to be said.
So, all this to say, while I don't anymore have to deal with Kiki-Kit, others are still waiting. And I'll keep asking around to see what happens. But unless something else big transpires, this is it for me in regards to Kiki. I hate making posts like this but it had to be done and tbh, I hope if anything it serves as a lesson to both artists and clients. Communication is key. Without it, stuff like this can spiral out of control fast.
I hope Kiki-Kit can mend her name in this fandom. I'll always be a fan of her work, but I am never commissioning from her again. And quite frankly, until she seriously fixes her communication ability, neither should you.

Exactly^^
So much of these sorta things are incredibly nuanced, and not so clearly cut. (And the thing that can be even more frustrating in the fandom is when they apply the grey area redemption experience opportunity to one but not the other in the fucked up cycle- especially if it's the initial abuser who gets it, like that's so indicative of bullshit like that irl)
Getting that exposure to people who don't coincide with that narrowed lens of perception that isolation tactics very often present when someone is manipulated and other abuse--is just so important to improvement/recovery. Because it breaks that warped reality to affirm that the generalized negatively isn't accurate. That there are people like Arcane and Optimus. Because it's just so easy to get it stuck in your head in this suffocating string of memories that leads to assumptions and anxiety that invoke those things like "I can't say this because they'll think I'm weak/stupid, or it won't matter anyway to say it so what's the point?" iiiiiiit sucks.
I love your points analyzing the Starcane lore cuz it's just so fascinating the dichotomy of him recognizing in part that she's safe (thus engaging in "dangerous behavior" he'd avoid with Megatron), while /still/ being battle ready at any little sign of a threat between them. And how all the intricacies psychologically are processed are so fascinatingly fragged up- cuz it's so hard to break that cycle, and you need someone really patient there for it.
And that is really what I love about writing this sorta stuff is that even if there are so many bad ending situations irl where the person isn't able to get better, where they perpetually self destruct no matter what anyone does, we can seize that control to create the good ending to give that hope that the struggle is possible to get through. Which is why I want a canon focus on Starscream lore approached like this so damn bad.
Also man the thing of someone who you know talks shit coming up being all fake niceties is so dang triggering. Honestly that flavor of reaction is Star and IDW redeemed Megs to me, cuz like--
The salt and just instinctual reflex built upon past disaster is just so palpable
I love the note on "But once the storm calms, everyone's hurt", cuz damn does it encapsulate it all so well. No one ever really wins.
And honestly, I def feel that inclination to exploring the family dynamics a bunch, even if, or especially if, we ain't gonna touch it irl. Cuz approaching things fictionally, is far easier to process, far safer. Least that's what I've found. Hell, the majority of any of my social competency has been built on analysis and research/observations of fictional characters (or true crime-).
And man, those contrasting concepts of seeing the kids as warriors and having that urge to raise them to "be like him" (born a lot from thinking they need to be tough and drawing from how he was made to be so), while also having that underlying knowledge that it was fragged up, and that he doesn't want them to go through what he did. That is just one example of all the types of ways that can create those internal conflicts and confusions that in turn lead to lashing out in different ways, because most of the time it's hella hard to put our feelings and motivations into words, and even more difficult to be sure the answers we give are actually correct. Cuz boy to we know that Decepticon lies to himself- and it's all about feeling in control
Then the doge vs cat struggles geez it rlly just does just come out so much in those moments of frustration. And that regret and reflection on it afterward is something that's just so much /ow/ and guilt and yet, our brains are gonna have the reflex come out yet again when triggered. Its often navigating the aftermath of the inevitable I find is what rlly needs to be shown. Cuz preventative strategies are all great in theory, but for those times when you can't catch it, or don't hear it until after it comes out, what then? And when emotions are really fragging hard already, that part feels impossible.
[Star too having that thought towards Arcane and the kids or Optimus that they're weak/vulnerable and the "I can take advantage of that" controlling nature is so where the spiral falling into the cycle starts. Cuz the want to be on top after having been on the bottom is so real. Its just like that thing of wanting to get them back or eye for an eye of seeking satisfaction/release from the pent up frustration. And even feeling justified mirror behavior cuz the other person got away with it.]
i need to see more starop where starscream is having trouble breaking the cycle, so he falls back into his old habits.
one of the most difficult parts about breaking the cycle of abuse is trying your hardest to not repeat the behaviors your abuser imprinted on to you. speaking from experience, it can be very hard when you enter a healthy relationship and find yourself thinking like your abuser.
so imagine, starscream finally joins the autobots. by some unfortunate circumstance, they lose an important battle. optimus encourages his team, but privately, he retreats to somewhere isolated to think. starscream finds him and asks what he's doing.
when optimus admits that he's disappointed in himself for not doing the best he could on the battlefield, starscream finds himself scoffing. "well, maybe we wouldn't be in the position if you'd done a better job to begin with," he grumbles, his voice slowly escalating. "i thought you were supposed to be some great leader. or is your reputation all a myth? because of you, now the decepticons have the advantage, and we're one step closer to losing this war!" outraged that optimus hasn't said anything, he shouts, "are you even listening to me, prime?!"
when optimus turns his helm to look up, starscream is spooked by what he sees. he doesn't see the face of someone about to drop to his knees and beg for mercy. instead, the look in his normally lively blue optics can best be described as haunted, almost dead, but clinging onto the last shreds of life.
the realization hits starscream like enemy fire. his voice box shorts out as he trips over his own words, trying to take them back. one thought comes to mind, and he knows optimus is thinking it, too.
i sound like megatron.
#starscream#transformers#megatron#starcane#psychology ass lore#sometimes rlly hate how i can comprehend it at a distence and yet cant seem to fix anything with my own shit#tfw im writing this at almost 4am#mental health where#not here baybee

Feeding your favorite artist's or writer's work into any form of gen ai feels profoundly sad to me. It's like... Taking popcorn we've popped to share with anyone who wants some, carrying a sack of it outside of the room, and feeding it through a machine that produces... stale, slightly damp popcorn. And all of the reasons given are things like "I couldn't wait for the next part" or "I don't know how to write myself" or "I don't want other people involved in my fandom experience, I just want this template."
Do you really dislike us that much? Are we so bad and scary?
Every author that I've ever spoken to by saying "hey, I really love this aspect of your work," has been really kind and excited to talk to me about it. So many people here dedicate hours at a time to talk about their head cannons and play in the sandbox with anyone who bothers to answer a question, via text and art and audio. Not everyone can, but it's fun when we do. And every single one of them would love to talk about their process, how they got to where they are, and any resources or exercises they use.
Is it that you don't believe we don't deserve the time we need to make something we like enough to share it? We should give you content no matter what, on your schedule?
I don't have time to write as often as I would like because I work a very stressful job, and the mental toll can sometimes be... a lot. When I force myself to try to make anything in that condition, I end up with something I don't like. It takes time to get in the right mindset. And then it takes time to actually put the words down - even if I'm not editing much, I only write at about 20hsh words a minute. My boyfriend writes 2 thousand of words in a good day, but when each chapter is 3k+ words that is still more than a day of writing. The author's giving you 17, 18k words per update? They're amazing, and still people. We're not machines, literally, so... Let us have the time?
I think most people who use gen ai would say "no, that's not it!" But I think if that's you, you should ask yourself if you ever actually thought to ask yourself those questions.
#saw tojisun lamenting#and it got me to thinking#the problem as i see it#is that so many people experience fandom as “content” that just “appears”#and Content Culture discourages people from thinking about how it gets produced#but guess what?#everything you've ever enjoyed took time and thought and action#im rambling again#anti ai#about dragon#fandom and ethics

BACK TO ART Y'ALL!
(after ....an awful lot of screaming these last days.. ... hey I don't know what is wrong with me, maybe it's the spring vibes finally kicking in or smth..)
Anyway here's the concept art for Hans and Henry - Witcher AU

'Cause I can not enjoy ANY franchise, ANY game, ANY-FUCKING-THING without witcherizing it. For t'is the law here.
Go down to my overly detailed description and non-text versions for AU Hans and AU Henry here. I have my brainworms and i'll spill them out on you, if you don't step aside, so beware.
Also this time I'm not going for a mix, I'm going full Witcher universe here.
Let me tell you there is a LOT of Hansry in the making for canon and Witcher AU right now.. I just need to find a way to finish it, for I am cursed to be stuck at WIPs so far as it seems. BUT I WILL DO MY BEST !!! FOR WE NEED THE HANSRY, DON'T WE?!
YES WE DO!!
So I've read the witcher books, played game 3, and looked up several things on fandom-wikis. If anything's not entirely witcher canon here, my bad. I tried my best ok? Also I took some liberty and smushed timelines and stuff to fit the scene here.
Capon is my fucking dress up doll. I am sorry I could not not. He is so FUCKING Dandelion coded.. PLUS I had so many cool outfit ideas and well...LOOK AT HIM HE JUST EATS, OK? I feel like he could be stuffed in a human-sized sock and still would look great in it... I don't get it either.. the tailors just love him.
have a song recommendation for Hans :3

Hans Capon (House of Leipa) The House of Leipa is a family line of famous military leaders at the nation of Kaedwen. (listen, there is a canon Fort Leida in the witcher universe, how could you blame me for jumping on that?) For generations they reigned over Fort Leipa and the surrounding region in Kaedwen. It was about 19 years ago when the Scoia'tael invaded the fortress and killed almost all members of the major family branch, including Hans' parents. Hans himself survived due to a servant's quick thinking. He was hidden in the servant's quarters in a bedroom's chest. The Scoia'tael focussed on looting the royal belongings. So he was not found until his relatives reconquered the fortress hours later. Hans has no memory of said day since he was still an infant, but suffers from claustrophobia now.
'The Slaughter of Leipa' contributed severly to the following pogrom in Ard Carraigh (Kaedwens capital), causing the deaths of over 400 nonhumans. Hans is not entirely against nonhuman races but has his personal, unprocessed issues with them....
Back in the present (20y/o) his situation is very similar to canon Hans, with Hanush currently being his guardian as long as he's not old enough to reign. He differs a lot from Hanush's imagination of a proper heir of their family tree and arguments are on a daily bases. For political representation Hans gets to travel and stay at the free city of Novigrad for a while. While he loves his home region in Kaedwen, he immediately falls in love with the urban vibes, and modern culture of the city (and of course the freedom of being away from Hanush's monitoring for once). For a few months he's spending a fair amount of coin on every tailor, tavern, brothel and bathhouse in the city.
By now the owners of said etablishements have made appropriate arrangements with every bandit's guilt around, for his regular visits are more profitable to all of them, than robbing him once.
There might have been one or two kidnappings with ransom involved nonetheless, which had Hanush consider hiring a bodyguard for his ward after all...If only just to mend his headache from time to time a bit.
This is were a certain offer from an old friend, plus a witcher's apprentice appears seemingly just at the right time...
------------------------
Henry's design and my idea of his witcher character made me painfully aware of just how similar those two universes actually are. I mean - not necessary a bad thing, but it might take the charm out of it a bit. So I tried to add a little twist to Henry here. Let's see how we're doing.
Have a song recommedation for Henry :3

Henry, child of the fate Henry is born a blacksmith's son and lived a slow life in a small village around Kaedwen's hillside. There would be times he would even go as far as to call it straight out boring, but he's not one to complain about stuff like that.
Since his father Martin taught him from young age, Henry practically grew up with swords, especially the kind made of finest silver ore, used to slay monsters. His father's outstanding works, famous in all the northern nations, attracted many witchers from far and wide. Of course the nearby 'School of the Wolf' at Kaer Morhen was a popular and recurring customer at their forge as well.
All peace and quiet ended the day his village was raided by bandits and his parents were murdered. Henry found himself seeking refuge, first at Kaer Morhen, then at Fort Leipa, with a handful of other citizens. At the witchers fortress he recognized one or two faces from back at the forge, but there was one particularly standing out.
Radzig Kobyla, a reknown witcher in all around the region seemed to have special interest in Henry and even offered some first combat training in sword-fighting. With time Henry finds the truth about is bonds with Radzig...
Before he was born Radzig saved Martin from a mountain troll. Half joking, half serious Martin remembered old witcher's tradition of the Law of Suprise - 'for what you find at home, yet did not expect' and offered it. Radzig actually refused the offer, for he was not necessarily fond of said tradition.
It was only a month later that they found out about the pregnancy... While awaiting a child Martin was devastated about his promise. He was not sure if it was to be fulfilled or not. After Henry was born Radzig still refused to ever take the child, arguing he never agreed to any contract like this. But fate finds his way nonetheless and with Henry basically finding him and being robbed his family, friends and home, Radzig finally gives in and offers to train him to become a witcher.
Of course things are way more complicated by now, since Henry is not suitable for a proper 'Trial of the grasses' anymore. He never gained the full immunity and powers of a proper witcher, but with Kaer Morhen's knowledge, plus consultation of several sorcerer Radzig's find a way for Henry to undergo a lighter and also much slower variation of the original changing procedure.
Although the risk of said changing progress is the same, if not higher. Errors or negative effects can only be seen and be treated much later after they have already settled in. The sorceress Katharina of Ard Carraigh was outraged when she heard about Radzig's little experiment, but offered her help with the effects nonetheless. With her help Henry was able to adapt existing witcher potions to handle his new powers and skills easier, and - much more important - to keep them at bay, when they threaten to take over his sanity.
While trying to tackle his new life and witcher training, Henry is also confronted with his first 'witcher' contract (well whatever Radzig found fitting for a half-baked witcher, without much fighting experience, nor complete control over his powers, that is.) Their host at Fort Leipa seemed to have a promising task as bodyguard at hand, and since Radzig had taken a lot of contracts from the house of Leipa in past times, it would not hurt giving it a try. Henry would only have to take care of the spoiled Leipa's offspring for a while. Nothing too much of a task right? Right.
At least until said offspring runs off and jumps into sheets with an Alp and seems to be in need of a witcher now after all, .....
But that's a story for another time...
---------
*visible exhaustion but I made it*
that's it for now guys.. I ..clearly overdid myself in the description right there, I just know it.
Also - sorry for my spelling , I hate rereading stuff, and tend to miss weird errors...
Hope you liked it, I don't really call myself a good writer, I just want to get out my ideas here. :)
#kcd2#kingdom come deliverance#witcher AU#hans capon#hans kcd2#henry of skalitz#henry kcd2#I ditched pirkstein and skalitz for AU reaasons sorry..#so Henry is left ...just Henry...#hansry#yes I know there is not much hansry just yet but I heavily intent to draw some for this AU next!!!#bear with me pls#i just know i will find a typo in 10 min and hate myself for it

wandee goodday anon reporting back, i enjoyed it so very much. loved the characters, loved the dynamics, wanted to punch dr ter in the nose a few times. i loved that there wasn't a episode 11 of doom?? and how generally light and colourful the show is, both in mood and visually especially as i watched never let me go (phuwin's kissing is my enemy but that's off topic) just before lmao, the contrast was something else.
i also was delighted to have a side couple that a) was established from the start and b) only had drama totally unrelated to their relationship and stayed wholesome and loving each other the whole time, cher bestest boyfriend/brother in law/son in law/gym manager 💕💕.
the whole one night stand to fwb to fake dating thing in 2.5 episodes was hilarious and so was the fake dating to swimming in denial for about the whole rest of the show taking about one or two episodes, thank god yak got clarity soon enough because i would've tried to punch him too but he ended up having the patience of an angel. i was highly entertained that being seen in a same sex relationship as a public figure was a problem for him that lasted a whole 5 minutes too.
dee is the loveliest bean and i love a character who stands their ground when the person who rejected them just magically realises their feelings when a new love interest appears, like how many times was ter basically told to get lost ffs.
oh right i also love a forgiving parents for things that are actually forgivable moment because i've had enough of the shittiest parents of the decade in drama-land crying over their faults for a minute and the kids are like yknow what it's okay i don't mind about the trauma you gave me anymore ✌️🤪
had fun spotting a few places from other shows (golf's gay café, vivi's place in love sea -love what they did to it btw, dee's place might be one of my favourite fiction apartments-, boston's pace) and had even more fun laughing at emi's hair extensions, who did that to my girl?? and that ~american~ champion whatshisname's thick ass french accent.
all in all, 10/10 show, greatinn are wonderful together, might rewatch in the future, can't wait for the memoir of rati heartbreak (i was already looking forward to it bc of actual plot reasons but now that i've seen the guys in it can act good and kiss pretty, it's all bonus points).
I'm so glad you liked it! Sorry it took so long for me to respond to this. I was actually in the process of re-watching Wandee Goodday myself and wanted to finish it before I answered this ask. It's such a good show and stands up very well even on a rewatch.
Since you watched after the fact, you avoided most of the fandom drama, but when I tell you people hated this show and yet continued watching week after week just to shit on it. It was one of my more bizarre fandom experiences for sure. Like I get why there was drama surrounding Only Friends. I don't get why there were such a visceral reaction to a cute little romcom.
The highlights for me were the incorporation of casual sex into the narrative in a way I felt was realistic and, of course, OyeiCher who still have my whole heart. Emi's extensions were an absolute travesty.
One thing I did notice on my rewatch which I missed the first time through is that Yak often switches his polite particle to "ka" when talking to Dee, which is very soft and flirtatious. The reason it stood out to me is that I've noticed Great does this with Inn too and I wonder if it was his choice to change the dialogue rather than something that was in the script?
Memoir of Rati only has 2 or 3 Qs left, so I'm hoping we will get it by June. I have a lot of faith in this screenwriter and am very excited to see GreatInn again because I miss them terribly 😭

Honestly, too many people in fandom expect fandom to cater to them nowadays. Even if they don't say it out loud, it's obvious in how they show up. How they scorn anything that isn't aligned with their particular tastes. How they get offended by people literally just shipping another ship or having a different view of a particular character. How their likes and ideas are seen as inherently superior to another person's likes and ideas because only an idiot wouldn't think the way they do.
The idea that you should curate your experience is supposed to be the norm. You don't want to see something? Filter it out. You don't want to read something? Don't click on it. You're not enjoying a fic? Click the back button. You don't want to see a particular person or their takes? Block them or filter them. You don't send them hate or put them down.
And even some people who do try to curate gnash their teeth when anything slips through as though its some sort of affront that people exist who don't interact and enjoy media in the exact same way they do. It's tiresome. Nothing is 100% foolproof. Especially not an online filter. Something slipping through doesn't give you free rein to treat people badly.
People can't have differing opinions without it spiraling into toxic discourse 99% of the time.
And honestly, I don't know how some of these people exist in the real world. You can't handle a differing opinion on Fictional Character A without having an entire meltdown, and you're supposed to navigate difficult situations with people who think differently than you in real life? About things that actually matter?
There are things that people absolutely should care about. I'm not saying to ignore things like racism, sexism, etc in fandom.
I am, however, saying that the maturity level in fandom is at an all time low.

Saw a couple Feysand stans send you anons and thought I'd join in, as a Feysand stan who has given up in engaging with this fandom because its so filled with people who don't even like the books, think the OG trilogy don't matter, and have elevated certain side characters to deity status and expect BB, sjm and the whole fandom to fall to their knees in agreement. You'd think ACOSF wasn't about Nesta but about Gw*n the almighty, wielding Made weapons alongside Cass and Az. You'd think it was Gw*n that saved all of Prythian and was give the powers of all seven courts. And you'd think it was Gw*n that was like the sun itself and had the spymaster all desperate and pathetic on his knees. Somehow, they've turned her into Nesta, Feyre and Elain all at once (because deep down they know who the story is about). Seriously, just let the girl cut her ribbon and chill in her library in peace!
I am so glad that neither BB nor SJM give a damn about what a few thousand (if even that) active people in a toxic fandom has to say about a book series that has sold about a dozen million copies and has been translated into nearly 40 languages. Sometimes I just think this fandom needs to get over itself (not referring to any individuals here, there are so many reasonable people here too!).
Acotar is a decade in the making. I am so glad that a peak in fandom craziness in 2021 and onwards of people who dislike the OG trilogy and most the characters has no bearing on where BB is spending their money, which is on the story Sarah is telling. And which millions of people actually like. And which is about characters she loves and which will always be based on the OG trilogy. And which obviously is heading to Elain and Azriel next.
Seriously, I don't understand how you Elriels can stand arguing with people who think three platonic interactions and a line in a bonus chapter erase several books of Elriel. Perhaps you've been surrounded by this for so long that to you, it doesn't seem as silly as it is. But it looks like a clown show from the outside. Not Elriels, but I mean, the anti Elriels make so little sense, and yet people argue with them as if their arguments are worth that. They're not. It's honestly so ridiculous it's not worthy of more than a raised eyebrow, Azriel style. It blows my mind the lengths people go to willingly delude themselves and then demand others to treat their fabrications with respect. And it also blows my mind that people actually treat their fabrications as if they're worthy of being met with serious arguments. I'd just go "nice headcanon" and move on. But that is probably easy for me to say when I'm not surrounded by it. I'm happy for you all that it'll be over soon at least.
Congratulations in advance on that announcement by the way, because it's been coming since that first dinner when Elain nearly stabbed Cassian with a fork and Azriel went that's my girl and probably nearly came in his pants. I was hooked on Feysand the whole series but saw Elriel coming a mile away (thought they made more narrative sense than Nessian even, and I love Nessian).
Oh and happy Elriel month in advance too. I'll be lurking the Elriel tag for all that sexy sexy fanart you always come up with. I gotta give it to the elriels, you have the best fanart. I can totally see why Feyre finds Elain and Azriel so aesthetically pleasing. I'm hyperventilating just thinking about them. 🌸🦇
Hello 🫶
Yeah, its why I stopped posting on TikTok. It was such a negative place for people that liked the OG series, OG characters, feysand etc. Its filled with the hardcore Nesta/Anti IC stans that think the valkryies are the new IT group and the following books will focus on them and acosf is the only important book and the previous books were trash, it can honestly get so draining.
Right? The gwynification of the fandom has given Gwyn so much importance, its crazy. Its like everything is about Gwyn and how she’ll do all of these crazy side quests and become besties and a family member to the IC and be the best gf towards Azriel. Its so hard to remember sometimes she’s just nesta’s best friend who Mass didn’t consider relevant enough to include in the OG series or even acofas the bridge between the two series…books where Mass has left clues for the upcoming books. Her stans have rlly inflated Gwyns importance all because she showed up for a few pages in one limited edition bonus. Its like the ending of acosf doesn’t even matter to gwynriels, they’ve forgotten the main purpose of the series which is the Archeron Sisters. They are the centre of the acotar universe and everything will come back to them…its why Nesta plays such a huge role in a gwynriel book because even they know Gwyn nor Az are as important as THE archeron family. You’re so right in saying that they’ve turned Gwyn into a mix of all the sisters. Honestly, she’s the perfect character to self-insert with which is what has happened. And in canon, Gwyn just wanted to be a valkryie and heal, making friends. All things she has accomplished.
certain people in this fandon do need to get over themselves, old news sure - but it speaks volume that *those* people had the audacity to think they’re important/right over the literal publishers of the series, arguing with them…over what’s literally written in the books therefore canon. Like. Just imagine actually sitting there and picking a fight with THE publishing house for ACOTAR. It goes to show their attitude and how terrible it is - im so glad BB disnt give into their tamtrums and instead made a funny reel having a dig at them. BB’s silence from the fandom has allowed it to become as toxic as it is but looking at how antis are behaving, I understand now why they’ve been so silent until it was time for the announcement (hopefully).
Yes! Acotar became so famous and loved BECAUSE of the OG characters. It wad because of Feyre and Rhys - their love story and found family including Nesta and Elain. That is where the money lies, what majority of the people want. The story was always going to revolve around the OG cast with new characters playing small roles. And right now, looking at everything together- its very clear the next story is elriels.
honestly I also don’t know how we’ve managed to survive 4 years of antis telling us 3 pages of a limited edition bonus + a few platonic interactions outweight the countless elriel scenes and foreshadowing which started early as acomaf. It sounds so ridiculous when you put it this way - elriels are literally arguing with people who are going off on assumptions and misinterpretation. But since gwynriels and eluciens are the most popular ships - their nonsense outweighs elriels sense because bottom line is - elriel were never popular in the fandom. People didnt like them together and elucien/gwynriel have given alternatives. In my experience, most elucien/gwynriel stans dont even care about their ships particularly, they just dont want elriel. And it all comes down to: 1) not liking Elain and believing Az deserves better and 2) wanting Lucien to get his mate so he can be happy forever
You know when something is so ridiculous that to you its silly but then you see others and they’re agreeing with it, I think it makes you doubt yourself but also it can be irritating that people are willingly being unfair and obtuse when it comes to elriel that even though you know what they’re saying is absolutely stupid and as you said, deserves nothing more then an eye brow raise - Az style, you can’t hell but answer with logic hoping they see the light but they dont and you’re just left feeling confused and even more irritated because how can someone be that….delusional to put it in a polite way. I think that is how most elriels feel, we know what they say isnt worth our time but refute it anyway hoping that maybe one day they’ll see logic. However, I will say that I’ve seen less elriels argue w antis over their takes because 4 years later and with an announcement looming so close, its just not worth it anymore. Everyone’s picked their ships, no minds are getting changed so save the energy.
Thank you! That moment made me smile so hard because it was so cute, that whole dinner was just Elriel overload. I totally gt the people that shipped them from the moment they appeared on page - I think it was pretty obvious. Especially when you had the main character shipping them two 🤭
hope you enjoy elriel month with us anon, I have a feeling this one will be the best one yet with lots of participation from everyone. Down to hot fanarts and heartfet fics, aesthetic moodboards and hilarious HCs. I also can’t wait to see all the elriel content we are going to be blessed with this fine May, Feyre is so relatable because Im also always smiling at the thought of how beautiful elriel look together - elriel commissioners and fanartists always do the twi justice. Feyre would definitely be proud (and have all the fanart of her favourite couple hung up)

Prongsfoot hate is so funny (I hate it) because its one of the many signs of how hypocritical this fandom is. They say they're anti jkr and support queer and poc people cux they're so diverse. But then hate on any shop that doesn't fit their specific hunk masc poc man x fem skinny white man wolfstar or jegulus (and a few sapphic ships in the bg)??? Like I thought this was a safe space?? Igs giving the same energy as calling jkr a trabsphobic loser but then in the same breath being like ummm nooo ur hcs don't fit into the same cookie cutter racist secust fujoshi type ideas as mine so you're the devil. Like what???? We hate jkr vuz she's hateful you those who are different and practically actively wants them dead. Get u hate on ppl who think differently in a non harmful way?? And its always the jegukys shippers I swear!!! Hating on kittywater, prongsfoot, making lily the bad guy, etc. I'm sooooo tired. I hate this fandom sometimes and that's why I left. But it was a hyperfixation so I have extensive knowledge that I won't forget for a long time :( I actually don't even enjoy these characters anymore but ur blog is okay i like u cuz ur opinions are peak.
HELP for a moment i thought you said prongsfoot is so funny (i hate it) & iread thru the post trying to figure out wtf ur on.
the homophobia & transphobia & sexism & racism & general discrimination in this fandom is actually crazy. the marauders fandom is what happens when a bunch of overprivileged, porn addicted, fujoshis come together and collectively fawn over the twinky white boy & his dark skinned morally corrupt boyfriend.
prongsfoot haters r crazy omg. the urge to ask why they wd hate prongsfoot is strong. kitterwater wdve been loved if dolores was a hot white guy and ive been saying this forvr. lily being a bad person or portrayed as bad is... crazy. horrible.
im glad u liek my acc <3

I'M ACTUALLY ABOUT TO START SOBBING... hitting 2K FOLLOWERS in under two months after everything just feels unreal.
i quit writing for fandoms way back in 2022 after a really terrible experience—one that made me think i'd never want to share my writing again. i thought i'd lost that part of myself for good.
but coming back, starting fresh, sharing my stories again... it's been the most healing thing. you guys have made it fun again. you've made it safe again. you've made it feel worth it again. seeing people twirl their hair, giggle, scream, and thirst over all the stupid, loving versions of satoru i've built in my little world—nerdjo, basketball player satoru, ares!satoru, dadjo, husband!satoru—i'm just so overwhelmed with gratitude.
the love i receive from the fluff, the feral thirst from the smut, the way you care about my different flavors of toru... it means more to me than i could ever properly put into words.
i regret not sharing sooner. i regret letting fear keep so many stories buried in my drafts. but i'm glad i finally did it. i'm glad i get to let satoru live in all these different ways—and i'm even more glad i get to share him with all of you.
this has been the most fun, freeing, healing restart i could’ve ever asked for.
THANK YOU FOR GIVING MY WORDS A HOME AGAIN 🥹🩷

OMG Have you been on MHA twitter? People have started dragging (ie telling the truth about) Bakugou. Someone posted the infamous "he won't die if he dodges" and it's like the flood gates opened, with people criticizing him left and right. People are even calling his fights with Ochako and Shouto bs, saying he's an author's pet, an asshole, a gary stu etc.
I've never seen so much backlash directed at him since his fake out death. It's also likely because most of his stans were children and teens during the run of MHA and they've become adults who are starting to look back at the series with a critical eye.
Better late than never, I guess.
Fuck Twitter. I refuse to use it, so sadly I haven't seen it.
And I'm not surprised. The manga's run is over, and people are beginning to either reread it or watch it for the first time. This means a lot of people are looking it over with fresh eyes.
Due to this, they're actually WATCHING how Bakugou reacts, rather then think about it with rose glasses, or being influenced by fanfic of him.
When they take the time, they see how shoddy the writing is rather than having their minds fill in the gaps. Fanfics of fairly decentish redemptions of Bakugou are around. It's not impossible to think they read that, then read the manga, so they are influenced by what they just read.
There are also the people who waited this long for people to change interests. While plenty of people stick with a fandom, there are just as many who pick up and then ditch a fandom when canon is done. No shame to them; some people just prefer new stories to what they know.
But because a lot of them probably loved Bakugou since he was the flashy one, and they weren't the ones to do indepth media analysis because they like the surface level, without them the other voices speak up.
Though as well you're right. People are growing up and looking back with new eyes.
So I'm not surprised.

Out of curiosity, is there a community discord for fans of either just your writings in general, or TTSBC in particular? Most of my fandom friends aren't reading bedrock for a little while (especially once I started talking about the fact that it's ANGSTY) and there's only so many comments I can leave screaming under the actual fic (though I will 100% continue leaving those, and sending in asks when I think of something more articulated to say!!!!)
Either way feel like that'd be cool :D
There isn't, but I would love to have one one day! I'm not very good with technology and I would have no idea how to set up or moderate a server like that...but I would absolutely love to have a discord for folks who read my stuff, both TTSBC and TT and anything else I might create! One dayyyy one dayyyy

Do you see racist things? If you ever feel like speaking out I would love a chance to make sure I'm not accidentally doing or agreeing with anything harmful.
i really appreciate your kindness anon and i know your intentions are good but if you want, bear with me this long answer because this is exactly my issue; people not realizing there is a wrong foundation dominating these kinds of online spaces we're on. people falling for anything as long as it has a nice sounding veneer that softens the fallacy of it. and this is not (just) about fandom. people need to start treating political education and being principled as a fundamental duty we're fully accountable for and not just something we just want to make sure we're not getting wrong.
it's a labour that requires sacrifice of time and effort on daily basis. it's our responsibility to study, to understand the structures of oppression, to be able to point out all the contradictory positions people take and especially from lazy audience who just endorse anything by clicking a 'share' button.
Don't wait for someone to speak out or wait until someone tells you what has been harming them for too long. Acts that perpetuate oppression don't happen inside our bodies and it's only me who can tell that my stomach is hurting, the symptoms and patterns of harmful positions and acts are out there all the time they just fly under the radar for those who don't do the work to see them as a systematic behaviour, in the wider scope, that's how the privileged, the protected and the politically illiterate/indoctrinated maintain the status quo; by leaving everything on the back of the struggling people to fix, without reaching the stage of maturity of being finally capable of understanding and combating those tools of imperialism on their own (choice of words, language, ideologies, actions, online behaviour etc), people are just too lazy to lead with correct principles that's my issue. liberalism just never graduates from that school, it retreats back to individualism right after telling you its willing to care about the collective in an actual effective way. and during that period it just keeps on inflicting piles of harm for us, the principled, to undo and label as ideological hazard.
I'm just so tired.. I've seen so much betrayal and sustained so many moral injuries from so called communities on here (lgbt circles, fandoms, people with their nice sounding liberal zionist shit and harmful normalization positions on the Palestinian struggle and the current ongoing Genocide etc etc) that pinpointing individual incidents feels in vain.
the term 'community' has been reduced to some depoliticised liberal abstraction where individuals conflate indulging in sexual consumerism and fun activities with collective work. and it points to a larger contradiction where selfish pursuits are masked as liberating and empowering (people who say shit like joy is resistance from the comfort of their couch. i see you), at the expense of emergency mobilisation, investing labour in political education and cultivating real connections based off shared values and struggles. especially now... just the levels of self gratification on here.. the people who treat politics/people's lives as an secondary backdrop to their blogs to show off moral integrity between their usual content. the romanticising of colonial violence or the total negligence of it, the reduction of the global south struggles to english ready made appealing content. all the selective celebrity culture garbage, etc.
I don't speak out here because for most people, politics is about appearing radical online from time to time and not about being able to defend a position with conviction and sacrifice a lot for it.
and because academics, western degree holders, big blogs (often run by a white person), the english-speaking diaspora voices, are more preferred, promoted and listened to
because articulation in english, layered with academic jargon, is constantly mistaken for sound politics.
I don't speak here because myopic victim narratives are centered over structural critique.
because identity wins over principled politics - every single time.
and I'm not interesting in pandering in front of a people here who selfishly give all their time to hobbies and self indulgence and cause harm by endorsing and agreeing on things they think they comprehend from the moral perspective. they don't listen let alone put labour into being responsible individuals. idk that's why i said before i feel like a hypocrite for being here in the first place. I have my other online circles where i find the sound political ground i seek so here I just try to stick to fandom content and nothing more, i just can't help sometimes the way i get angry at the things i see, but again, that's on me for choosing a space where performativity dominates, I'm responsible for that I'm very aware.
Apologies for the long reply Xx
