It wasn't fun being a well respected captain's daughter. Especially after your mom left, your dad would leave for shipments for months on end,and you had to spend a good chunk of your childhood with nannies rather than your parents.

But that was when he came along,Jimmy... Or Jim,as your dad would call him. He was your dad's closest friend since childhood,and now he was gonna be... Living with the two of you? Your dad said that it was due to the shortage of leases on the market currently,but you know damn well it was because that jimmy person was just a broke guy.

"hey,so you're the daughter I keep hearing my friend talk about,huh?".

"uh yeah,my name is y/n".

you did think it was strange as to how,Jimmy... or well,uncle jimmy as your dad advised you to call him, was so Frank and open minded with you,but you realised that's just how men in his situation were. Open-minded,and careless.

Uncle jimmy... was an interesting man to say the least,you hadn't really had the luck of having any fun 'relatives' for that matter so you thought this was the best as it was gonna get. All in all you started warming up to him,you thought that hey,this guy is already down on his luck,and he's also so fun to be around! wouldn't hurt to be friendly with him.

Albeit,a strange request,you decided to do as your uncle asked anyway,and you went to him and plopped on his lap. No matter his lanky figure,he was still strong enough to carry your weight. So he had no problem in adjusting himself to have you sir on his lap while still getting a comfortable view of the ongoing game.

everybody was focusing on the game,but you,your focus was on something else entirely,all the while you were sitting on his lap, you could feel Jimmy's hot breath on your shoulder,how his left hand was rested at your side,firmly placing a grip, you could feel his heart beating, and you don't know what got over you,but you decided to do something risky, somthing vulgar which you hadn't even properly processed in your mind.

You grinded against him just a little,and that was enough to get his heart beating 10 times faster,you could practically feel his breath hitch,and him letting out the quietest groan. first off, that happens in year six. there is no “year seven.” and i am glad that you’re bringing up hermione’s faults because usually it’s all about ron! i just don’t think you’re familiar with Being In Love and to be honest i don’t care if hermione beats up on ron. he doesn’t either!!! am i supposed to hate women hit men? no. why would i? that’s praxis. when hermione jokes about it in the next book, he laughs. and if she did it then, he definitely would have deserved it if we’re going to be honest. ron probably likes her for any of the following and perhaps more: she is funny believe it or not, her vindication, the fact that she rides so hard for him and harry, how she cares about him, how she’s kind enough to want to kill some random chickens for them on the horcrux hunt, how insanely passionate she is about everything, and probably so much more that i don’t care to list or think of.

when harry’s away they could be doing anything. hogwarts is a big school. they canonically go to the library a few times, play wizards chess as you’ve mentioned, and do some homework/studying (much to ron’s dismay, i’ll admit). the book is told from harry’s perspective. we aren’t supposed to know what ron and hermione are doing 24/7 and that’s part of it all. this is where you use something called your imagination. they’re prefects together. which means that they spent hours walking around the school alone together. probably just chatting about whatever or even in silence, which can sometimes be so much more intimate than a chat.

ron’s opinion on house-elves doesn’t just change randomly throughout deathly hallows. the two elves in this book are insanely important to the plot, defeating voldemort, and the trio’s survival if you’ve forgot. kreature tells them about the locket and the story of how it originally was removed from the cave. dobby dies for them and saves hermione from being raped by greyback. the reason for the kiss is so big because it does in fact show that ron is growing up and changing, because they are children for the entire series minus a few months during deathly hallows.

and are you serious about this one? why didn’t they tell harry? dude, they didn’t tell each other for seven years and he was, i dunno, the center of a fucking war by the time they realised that they liked each other for real??? like, again, seriously?

they have “no development” in the epilogue because you’ve skipped 19 years and it’s like six pages long and not about them. it’s about harry’s gay son who is scared of being a slytherin, not ron or hermione or rose or hugo. they’re just little figurines in the background of harry’s small dilemma with his son that only have a few lines of small talk with their best friend/in law.

also, acting like ron and hermione’s relationship was out of no where just proves that you probably haven’t read the first two or three books in a while. some venture to say that seed was planted during the first book when ron sarcastically calls hermione “a lovely, sweet tempered girl” or the wingardium leviosa scene or when he beats her at wizard’s chess and it’s the first thing she’s ever lost at. jkr herself said once that they were meant to be a bit “love at first sight”-y (they’re 11 so i’m not 100% a fan of that) but if you can’t see it when he nearly jumps draco malfoy in chamber of secrets for wishing hermione dead or when he keeps looking sadly at her empty seat while she’s petrified you’re being purposefully dense.

oikawa: friends all went to a party without him and his coping method was getting so so so wasted on white rum and falling asleep on the living room carpet immediately after giving another friend a tarot card reading saying their breakup is imminent (to be fair, it was. but it was still kinda rude).

iwaizumi: after class, was led to a private stairwell by a friend, jokes "haha are you taking me to a hidden location to kill me." and then received a love confession. proceeded to say "uh. i'll think about it." then did finger guns. and said "im just gonna. go" and then fucking. ran. like not exaggerating, ran.

kageyama: went on a date. did Not At All Know it was a date, despite the very very obvious flirting. yes this was the same person as in the previous bullet point. don't look at me like that.

akaashi: took a 100 level class senior year and did not pay attention to a single lecture. instead wrote thousands of words of fanfiction in the classroom every day.

atsumu (again): another cooking one. i just think he'd be a terrible cook. sorry. anyways. "it's been 20 min, why isn't this scallion pancake im pan frying cooking yet?" (<- did not turn on the stove burner.)

yachi: hm the light in this room doesn't work. guess i'll just learn to see in the dark instead of inconveniencing anyone by asking to fix it.

akaashi (again): completely fell in love at first sight, but fast forward five months and it actually somehow worked out? however the five months were filled with the most insufferable pining possible, which could have been resolved so so so easily. also started talking about marriage, like, six months in.

bokuto: got sad. went out into a raging snowstorm in socks and no jacket. laid down in the snow for a long time. somehow, miraculously, didn't get a cold afterwards?

akaashi and/or yachi: changed majors and career paths because a pretty upperclassman asked them to. (i am very happy in my chosen path but jesus christ THAT was why i did it?)

hinata: flew from coast to coast of the country, then drove halfway back to the midwest in the span of three days. started a new job on the fourth day. didn't sign a lease on an apartment until the fifth day.

semi: skipped a day of work to drive four hours there and four hours back for a fall out boy concert. totally worth it but driving at 4am after a concert wasn’t the smartest thing ever to be done.

kuroo: started reading homestuck in the year of our lord 2024. this is an attempt to remain in contact with long distance friendships (by doing a bookclub) but jesus fucking christ dude.

Movie Tails is fine, movie Knuckles is okay and it's clear that they mixed in a lot of different elements across his appearances into a single character, movie Eggman is good because it's fucking Jim Carrey, and movie Shadow looks absolutely phenomenonal... but Sonic? No man... nuh uh...

Knuckles is written perfectly decently and I liked the Detective Pikachu joke because it sorta makes sense and fits because they are in Japan and Tails is a fluffy yellow creature. But everything to do with Sonic is just... no. Stop. Enough. God damn.

Im not saying Sonic can't have fun and can't make jokes, I'm just saying that they need to handle it better, because one of my least favourite things in media is when you have something with a lot of emotions and personal stuff that's so intriguing and interesting, and it gets undermined and trampled over by awful jokes.

It's like this movie is being written by two different writing teams, one team that loves Sonic and the Adventure titles, and another team who's just a bunch of Hollywood writers that have been fed a diet of mediocre action comedy movies and Joss Whedon movies.

I really wanna fully love what I'm seeing here, but I can't ignore the blue stain that's bringing it down....

Im also really worried about what they are gonna do with Gerald Robotnik but I have a feeling that Eggman is slowly gonna realise that Gerald is more crazy than he first thought and that there's gonna be a twist in the movie. There HAS to be one and we're gonna see the insane Gerald we know from SA2, right?.... RIGHT?!??!! I HOPE SO!!! OR ELSE IM GONNA GET REALLY MAD!

Act 3 spoilers

I just wanted to voice my opinions on the entirety of act 3, I will be making another post focusing on Jayce because I am disappointed with his story specifically.

Let's start with what I'm happy with!

The display of Mel's magic was amazing. All her scenes were so powerful.

CaitVi is canon! (which was predictable for obvious reasons but i'm still happy for them)

The music choice was perfect, as well as the quality of the episodes, as expected. No matter the storyline's flaws, the art style itself is undeniably gorgeous.

Maddie dies IMMEDIATELY after betraying Piltover, so I'm happy with that. Don't get me wrong, I think the season looked rushed, but the instant karma of that scene was enjoyable. It's well executed shock value.

The Caitlyn/Mel and Ambessa fight sequence was SICK. They really emphasized Ambessa's strength and battle IQ here, and while I dislike her, it was satisfying to watch.

The JayVik ending. Now, I am very conflicted with this, but I'll focus on the positive part. THIS MOMENT WAS SO TENDER!! It revealed how much Jayce truly loved and cared for Viktor, and that Viktor thought Jayce to be the only person who could ever make him acknowledge the importance of humanity. Jayce was his last and only hope, and Jayce proved Viktor right in every timeline.

Jayce defenders, we won. We got an entire episode dedicated to what Jayce and Ekko/Heimerdinger went through, and it proved that JAYCE WAS RIGHT AND HIM AND EKKO ARE OUR SAVIORS THANK YOU 🙏

Jayce looked fine asf. That is a beautiful man and I'm expecting many more edits (pretty please).

Alright, now let's get to what I'm upset about.

Jayce's wasted potential. The way I see it, they just reduced him to a pawn in Viktor's character arc, considering that his life begins and ends with Viktor. It's sweet, yes, and can be counted as a win for JayVik shippers, but I really wanted more for Jayce. And yes, I will most definitely come back to this on my Jayce-centric post.

The lack of reaction to Jinx's and Jayce's "death". I'm honestly not sure if either of them are dead (I am also somewhat in denial). Mel lost her lover, of whom brought out a softer side of herself that she didn't even know existed, and there's no reaction? Not even a scene of her finding out? The same goes for Caitlyn, since she literally saw Jayce as an older brother. Then there's Vi, who's seen completely fine with Caitlyn, and Ekko, who's having the only appropriate reaction, but even so, it's too calm. We'd have to assume that there's been another timeskip, but it couldn't have been long since the war. ALSO XIMENA, Jayce's MOTHER, she's seen putting a paper of Jayce's name to burn and honor him after his supposed death, but her expression is blank. Just simple resignation. I don't know, the lack of reaction had me questioning why I was sad.

No proper reunion scenes besides Ekko/Jinx and Mel/Jayce?????I actually liked Ekko and Jinx's reunion, but Mel and Jayce? Not even close to what I expected or wanted.

This season was rushed; that's something everyone can agree on. I think it was very focused on action rather than the complexity of these people's relationships and minds, while the first season had a balance between both. There just wasn't enough time for that balance with all the information they had to give us.

Honestly, and this is gonna sound horrible but hear me out, I would've preferred it if they had episode 6 be the last episode instead, and used the act 2 to explore Caitlyn's dictator arc and truly emphasize how long Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger had been gone. I know how this sounds, but I really wanted to see more of Caitlyn and her mindset during the whole fascism plot rather than have her throw it all away three episodes later. It would've helped others understand her more, while also acknowledging how blinded she had become with anger and sadness. Also, this would've given more time for people to grow an attachment to Isha and see how she reminds Jinx of Powder!!! Just imagine it, the season closing with Jayce "killing" Viktor, no sign of Ekko or Heimerdinger, and Isha dying would have been even MORE devastating; the ultimate cliffhanger. There's no denying people would've been angry and shocked, but it would've made us want more, just like the first season did. I would be 100% willing to wait 3 or more years for the next season than have such an underwhelming ending.

Okay, I think that's it. Might add more to this post later if I come up with any other critiques, be prepared for the Jayce post because I NEED to talk about him.

of course you had to wear something at least somewhat skimpy if you were gonna see rin for the first time tonight. you didn’t know if this was gonna be your first and last time seeing so you needed to make somewhat of a impression.

you finished touching up your makeup and hair once the clock hit 8:30. you double checked yourself in mirror. you had to admit that you looked good and hoped rin would think the same.

you heard your phone chime and knew it was karasu saying he was at your house. you walked out your door after getting your purse and placing your lipgloss in there. you felt the cold breeze and immediately regretted not bringing a jacket to prove your point of looking good.

“someone’s cold” karasu scoffed while getting out the car to open your door.

“what a gentleman karasu” you said before hugging him.

“whatever man just get in” he said while returning the hug.

you smiled at him while pulling away and got into the passenger seat. karasu closed the door and walked back to the drivers seat.

“how longs the drive” you asked while connecting to aux.

“15 minutes” karasu said while looking through the back window and placing his right hand behind your seat.

you quietly put on some music while conversing with karasu.

“you excited to see rin? i mean hell- you can definitely tell” he said while looking down at you and your dress.

“just wanna make a good impression” you replied while shrugging.

karasu looked at you before looking back at the console to follow the gps directions. once you pulled up to bachiras house you took out your phone from your purse to open the camera app. you reapplied your lipgloss while karasu touched up his hair.

“okay let’s go” you said after smacking your lips.

karasu got out the car first and once again opened your door.

“okay seriously what’s with opening my doors” you said while getting out and straightening out your posture and dress.

“gotta let the ladies know im a good man” he said while grabbing your purse and closing the door. he handed you your purse and you took it into your hands.

“they’re gonna think we’re dating karasu” you scoffed while walking up to bachiras house.

“they always do” karasu sighed.

you two walked up the stairs and karasu knocked. while being greeted at the door by bachira karasu put his hand on your lower back though bachira wasn’t the only one who saw that. bachira pulled you into a deep and warm hug.

“im so glad you could come yn! you look so good” bachira said while smiling.

“thank you bachira you don’t look so bad yourself” you giggled while you both pulled away.

bachira greeted karasu and welcomed you both into his house. it was very nice and spacious. you spotted reo with nagi and chigiri with kunigami and what seemed to be rin. you felt yourself tense up once you noticed he looked over to your way after chigiri called your name.

“yn!” chigiri said as you walked over to him.

“hi chigiri, hi kunigumi” you said while giving them both a hug.

“oh- uh hi im yn” you said while looking up to rin.

“im rin” he said in a monotone voice but even then it made you feel something.

“nice to meet you” you said while smiling up at him.

“you as well” he said leaning back on the counter.

“hey dude” you heard karasu say to rin.

rin waved at him slightly before drifting his attention back to you. you didn’t notice since you turned your back to face him while talking to nagi and reo. they both had cups in their hands and you knew they were already drinking.

“you want some?” isagi offered you some while holding a cup towards you.

“no sorry i don’t drink thank you though” you politely declined as he put the cup back on the counter.

something about that made rin more intrigued in you. that and the fact that you were one of the few girls there.

rin had moved past you and sat down at the table next to chigiri and kunigami. the two were talking about irrelevant things that didn’t matter to rin. he looked at his phone before looking back at you. you were talking to karasu while playfully pushing him. with that he immediately assumed the two of you were either dating or talking. the playful banter and you two coming in together made it set in stone in rins mind. he didn’t care though. right?

a few minutes pass and everyone was sitting down at the table but you. you were in the bathroom and by the time you came out everyone was talking and eating. fortunately the only open seat was next to rin. you walk over to the chair.

“is someone sitting here?” you asked while one hand tapped his shoulder and the other pointing at the chair.

“no” he said while turning over to face you.

“okay” you replied while smiling at him and sitting down.

“you aren’t gonna eat?” he asked when noticing you were the only person without a plate.

you shook your head.

“im not hungry i ate beforehand” you said while playing with the rings on your fingers.

he hummed in response while looking at you picking at your rings and nails. he noticed your medium length dark red nails and your jewelry.

isagi and some other boys were asking rin questions about his life and only one certain question made your ears perk.

“do you a girlfriend?” you heard a girly voice ask.

“no and i’m not interested in one” rin said while not looking at the girl but at his phone.

a part of you felt relieved he rejected the girl but the other part of you felt upset since he wasn’t looking for one.

the girl scoffed silently and walked by to the counter to get a drink after that.

a few hours past and a lot of the boys were either tipsy or drunk. karasu sat next to you and rin and sighed.

“im gonna have to drive them home” karasu complained while throwing his head back and rubbing his face.

kunigami dragged karasu to get up after that leaving you and rin completely alone at the table since the rest were in the living room.

the silence was slightly awkward since you two didn’t know each other.

“you don’t drink?” you said after gulping and building up the courage to talk to him.

“no never really liked the taste or the idea of it” he replied while looking beside you.

“what about you?”

“me neither, i’ve never tried it though” you replied while nodding slightly.

after a while of silence and the both of you on your phones rin got up to use the bathroom.

karasu dragged you to get up with him.

“where’s your sweet rin?” he laughed.

you sighed and shrugged. you sat down in the living room with otoya and karasu.

“i haven’t seen you in forever yn” otoya said while giving you a side hug.

“i know karasu has been hiding you from me” you said while returning the hug.

while catching up with otoya you noticed rin come into the living room and smile at him due to the both of you locking eyes.

he gave you a small smile in return and sat next to a boy with light blue hair.

“i think that’s the last guy you would ever want to get with” otoya said before drinking out of his cup”

“what why? i don’t even wanna hear it from you you’re the biggest slut ever” you said while rolling your eyes.

“i’ve been telling her that” karasu chimed in.

“celibate final boss- not even celibate he’s just girlfriend prone, always throwing away his chances with baddies to focus on soccer” otoya said while placing his cup down.

“thats never stopped anyone though” you replied.

“it should stop you” karasu said annoyed.

after a few more hours the clock hit 1:45 am you, karasu and a few others he was taking home said your goodbyes to everyone.

“leaving without his number” karasu said while walking out bachiras house.

“shit you’re right” you responded. in panic you went back into the house and looked for rin. when you spot him saying bye to bachira you came up to him waiting for him to finish up.

“yeah?” rin said looking down at you noticing you went up to him.

“could i get your number?” you asked while batting your eyelashes at him unintentionally and holding out your phone slightly.

rin looked at you seriously and took your phone. typing in his number his other hand ran through his hair.

“thank you- bye!” you said hurriedly while leaving quickly to go back to karasu.

at the end of the night you succeed talking to rin and getting his number.

a little nervous to share this because i am in no way a good character designer or anything BUT! i've been thinking a lot abt the wayfarer and the witch from the song of the wayfarer lately so here's my personal interpretation of them!!

to avoid making this post a wall of text i'm just going to ramble about my interpretation of their story below the cut so its only a wall of text if you want it to be!

so ya!! i tried to give them similar characteristics to kiwi and miriam (both in appearance and personality) but still having them be their own people. they're not connected to kiwi and miriam in any way they just happen to be similar people in some ways ha. (oh also the wayfarer's outfit is inspired a lot off of wirt from otgw !)

also i should say before i ramble about their story that i don't personally interpret the wayfarer and the witch as being in a romantic relationship. i think they were very close of course but everyone who saw them hanging out together just sorta...assumed it was romantic (similar to how some characters in wandersong assume kiwi and miriam are in a romantic relationship too). but there's no rule book saying you can't be in love with someone platonically !!

okay im gonna try to summarize their story as best as i can so i guess ill start off by saying that i think the two's initial interactions when they first met were. a bit awkward. the witch was not very trusting of the wayfarer for the longest time. with tensions between Rulle and Chaandesh going on, and also just not being used to accepting kindness in general, she sorta just assumed the wayfarer must secretly hate her just for being a witch like other people in Rulle do, and that her kindness must be a trick or something.

but of course that wasn't true, the wayfarer really did just want to be her friend. and after many days of the two just happening to meet in that same forest they met in over and over again, the witch started to believe that. it got to the point where the two would go to the forest just to see each other.

but unfortunately things couldn't stay happy forever. one day, with really no explanation or warning, the wayfarer came down with an illness bad enough to leave her bedridden. the witch of course did her best to help her, but nothing was seeming to work, not even any of her healing magic or potions. after all of her options were exhausted, all she could really do was just stay with the wayfarer and keep her company.

despite everything the witch tried to do, the wayfarer ended up passing away one night. a particularly beautiful night, where there were no clouds in the sky and the stars shone bright. before she passed the wayfarer told the witch that she would be up with those same stars, watching over her, so they really weren't leaving each other. but it still did nothing to stop the witch from feeling a deep and heavy grief at the loss of her only friend.

upon the wayfarer's passing, the people of Rulle immediately put the blame for it on the witch, believing she had cast a deadly curse on her. she became exiled from the kingdom, and the people's distrust of witches only grew worse. so she left, taking nothing back with her - not even her own broom. nobody knows what happened to her after that.

...uhh ya thats it i guess!! there's still some little details ive thought up of for them but this post is already long enough. i dont really know how to end this. ok bye!!
