i have nothing else to say about this. i am absolutely batshit.
confused? let me show you because after my months of analyzing this song i did not see this a SINGLE TIME until it was pointed out to me.
i’m going batshit insane. this is the reason why i need to be locked in a padded room.
right after alastor said that vox asked him to join his “team” and alastor said no.
there is no other explanation for this.
LALALALA IM GONNA DIE ‼️‼️‼️
WHAT WAS THE FUCKING REASON.
#i just cannot believe this#i thought it was fucking edited when it was pointed out to me#this is the most obvious thing i’ve ever seen#i get the rainbow error bars because that’s a common error on televisions.#BUT THIS????#i’m never getting over this in my entire life#hazbin hotel#vox#hazbin hotel vox#bisexual#radiosilence#onewaybroadcast#why can’t u just be fucking normal#why can’t i just be fucking normal#why can’t i just fixate on the good guys instead of vox’s 283728473 mental illnesses#and his batshit relationship history

everyone that replied to this post is extremely annoying and are also extremely tone deaf because no, the op was not saying 'life in the 1600s rocked' - yes we know antibiotics were not around. we know childhood mortality was sky high. we know you worked back breaking labor in the fields as a peasant and your quality of life was definitively much worse than today, but that literally was not the point.
the point is that you people act like the past was a time when literally everybody was beheaded at the immediate first sign of deviancy, and that in fact nobody could have handled you being a quirky blorbo chungus or whatever, when infact, most people throughout history have acted in a pretty consistent way. your undiagnosed autism or adhd or anything is something literally nobody cares about. you being a random person who says silly things is actually not noteworthy at all and not going to make you a witch omg burn this woman / queer / whatever minority immediately. society was not some totally homogenous 100% uniform super straight hetero catholic paradise where everyone obsessively policed and tormented each other.
also to the one person saying "uhm actually we're fighting against a neo-reactionary trend of glorifying the past..." you are quite literally doing the same thing in the same vein as the reddit morons who pushed "the dark ages.... the middle ages were a time when society slid back from the roman golden ages... nothing happened for 700 years and people burned witches... muddled about in the dirt... and dogmatically worshipped the pope" as if the entire period wasn't mostly nobles having sex disputes with each other and sending guys to behead the pope because they didn't want to pay taxes for some doorframe.
i actually really hate those posts where everyone is like "ough oigh i would have died in 1600 because of [reason]" like its annoying and its actually fucking sad how so many of you seem to view the past and the people in it. Autistic people in the past had full and happy lives. Jewish people in the past had full and happy lives. You would not have been "burned as a witch" for having adhd, you have a persecution complex thats deeply annoying and ahistorical. The lives of marginalised people in the past were not just strife and suffering and dying violently and frankly its offensive that yall keep trying to reduce it down to such. Why are you so obsessed with erasing the spectrum of human existence why are you so obsessed with erasing joy why are you so obsessed with denying the capacity for marginalised people to have been happy
#seriously the witch shit is especially aggravating because it derives from such an extremely narrow period of history with anglo peasants#no peasants didn't give a shit for the most part#or the assumption that queer people didn't live at all or were actively hanged constantly is totally batshit#do you think queer people just didn't exist#all those odd noblemen who were just too close to a#fucking frederick the second dude#one of the most obvious homosexuals of history ever#and he was the king of prussia and his relationship with a close male friend was not really something anybody did anything about besides hi#father#the deranged revisionism that people thought and behaved totally differently in the past is such infuriating ignorance

Specifically having Travis and Jackie have sex is so interesting because both of them, I feel, are doing it to fulfill something they feel like needs to happen for them to be secure in gender/sexuality. And in the end it has consequences and is iffy at best because neither of them have the proper vocabulary or positive examples needed to navigate that!
With Travis he says yes because he misses Nat and is insecure that she's slept with multiple people while he has been with no one. When it comes to how this might affect his relationship had the night not gone batshit insane, he doesn't think because the ideals he has tell him he NEEDS to have sex to be a better man for Natalie as opposed to just being there for her and communicating normally. Toxic masculinity n all that with him desperately trying to hold onto anything that makes him feel more masculine, more capable, more desirable- but it's an ill fitting role (transfem Trav truthers I see you).
As for Jackie, there's a lot going on there. First up is the fact that she's essentially given up on survival at that point and is preparing for death accordingly in a passively suicidal sort of way (which might I add Travis also experiences. Just later) so she feels the need to Do Things. As for the sex stuff itself, from the scene in the pilot and Shauna's admittedly less reliable meat shed conversations, it's pretty clear that it wasn't comfortable at the best of times and his pressuring sounded like it was pretty consistent. Jackie's view of virginity and sex sounds almost transactional at times; a "he's waited long enough" type deal. Then there's the fact that it was wrapped up in Shauna: telling Shauna while wearing her flannel, looking at Shauna, having sex in Shauna's bed.
Jackie seems to not know how to not involve some pressuring because Jeff always did that, and she's pretty past caring about being nice. Travis doesn't know how to not take what he should want, and later on he's tripping out. Add the emotional detachment of not having negative history, a poor mental state, toxic yuri, and shrooms, and you've got a recipe for vaguely unhealthy casual sex while thinking about other people!
All this to say it was a perfect storm for the two people most insecure in their sexuality/gender presentation to use each other to feel affirmed about it only to face massive consequences (however disproportionate) for something ultimately unfulfilling ("so that was sex?"). Those old standards they live by don't fly out here. It's still a society, they're just still unlearning the rules of the old one.
#not a ship post. to be clear#lu rambles#yellowjackets#jackie taylor#travis martinez#yellowjackets meta#long post#im not even a huge travis fan but i do find the way he clings to masculinity as a crutch interesting#which is probably why i like travis most under a transfem reading#and of course with jackie it's more sexuality wise though idk let her get weirder with it too

I need book recs again, this time for kid 2! 13, "neurospicy," high reading level for vocabulary but has difficulty with parsing subtly-drawn emotional motivations for characters. Fairly black and white worldview / very strong sense of justice and injustice, but he's slowly starting to integrate more nuance. He's bored with the books we have in the house and overwhelmed by the options at the library. Help me narrow it down?
He likes:
Giant robots and mechs - current very well-read favorites are the Pacific Rim novelizations.
Science fiction, as long as the science is internally consistent.
Legend of Zelda - we just got him the graphic novel box set for his birthday.
Star wars / Predator / Megaman / kajiu franchises (Japanese - he's deeply scornful of the US Monsterverse, but loved Gamera: Rebirth. Any book recs that hit similar vibes to G: R?)
(Caveat: any media based on another media property needs to be consistent, or it'll drive him batshit. He still brings up his irritation at inconsistent Jaeger weights and armaments and build dates cross-referenced from design docs on the original PacRim vs The Black vs the info cards on the action figures, etc.)
Enjoyed LotR and has read - and enjoyed! - the Silmarillion. Not currently interested in checking out other high fantasy.
He does play TTRPGs as well as computer and console games, and I can see LitRPG working as a genre, but he hates romance / is uncomfortable with sexualization and sexual references in media, and is very sensitive to racism and discrimination, and there's a lot of not-great stuff lurking in that sphere.
I picked up Iron Widow for him and he says he enjoyed it, but not enough to read a sequel. Too explicit in some sections, I think.
He did enjoy the old Tales Of books from the Star Wars EU, as well as a book of short stories in the Predator universe, so short story collections or anthologies are good too.
We've just started getting into the Assassin's Creed franchise (Ezio series) - any good official novelizations, or recs for non-AC alternate history books set in medieval Italy?
He does not want to read books about romance, or other books that are mostly about Big Feelings or interpersonal relationships. He doesn't mind it as a minor subplot, as long as he can skim those parts.
He's already read as much Warrior Cats as he cares to. Ditto Wings of Fire. He's "over dragons" for now.
He loves the bad guys, and would probably enjoy books from a villain's POV.
Older kid has the first murderbot book and I'm going to ask her to lend it to him to see if that hits the right spot. I'm thinking maybe The Martian would be good?
Edited to add: He's read and liked Percy Jackson, and his sister owns (and he's read some of) all the Rick Riordan Presents books to date. Also already considering Artemis Fowl.
Edit 2: Big sister has added Dark Lord of Derkholm to the pile, along with Artemis Fowl and Murderbot.
Any suggestions welcome!

Okay so I don't know if you're up to it or if you've done this ship. But I'm curious to have your opinion on it. So for the ask ship game :
Max/Lewis (4434) does it make sense and does it compel you?
first of all: thank you for the ask!
second of all: i have a LOT of feelings about this ship, especially as a fan of both of them.
historically, lewis and max have not gotten along well, admittedly more so on lewis' side than max's. max came in as boy wonder in 2015, just in time to watch the dissolution of lewis' and nico's relationship. he was promoted to red bull as genuine, emerging star in 2016 while lewis was fighting for his life against his everything best friend, nico.
and he was good.
and lewis knew he was good.
there was no way in hell, after the shitshow that was 2016, that lewis was going to let it stand. i will freely admit to being a huge lh44 fan, but the dude refused to call max by his name for YEARS and called 'this guy' in front of fans. greatness recognizes greatness, and lewis took one look at max and had war flashbacks. but max's response to it is even more insane, if you ask me. you have lewis and nico and seb going full ham on max for a little friendly bullying, but max just takes it. he comes back for more.
also, the trope itself has so much potential. younger talented boy takes what he could've had, a new champion dethroning the old one, winning through one of the most controversial determining races in F1 history. 2021 alone is enough to write a dissertation about the complexities of their relationship, and they are actually so weird about each other.
but then the shift happened! lewis acknowledged max as one of the greats. not directly, perhaps, but it was enough. that shift from threat to still a threat but now there's mutual respect and even (dare i say it?) affection there. and the rivalry is still just as strong, but then we see the friendly interactions and camaraderie. i would hesitate to call them friends, maybe, but what would you call the bond between two stupidly powerful, batshit crazy titans but a form of love?
okay now i'm rambling, but they are just so neat. would i call them the best otp to ever otp? nope. but would i willingly read pairings of them? hell yeah.
final verdict: makes sense, compels me
ask game

Hiya could I request Val x reader, where reader and angel become friends and val gets jealous of them spending time together. It can be NSFW if u want it to
AN: trying to think of a title but i can't think of shit LMFAO. gonna put the SFW stuff at the top and the N$FW at the bottom. also i can't really think of when val would be jealous of angel n you normally cuz i dont think he has thaaat much beef w/ angel so it can probably be taken as val having a wittle psychotic crushy wushy on reader and denying it in his head lolz
also halfway through writing this i just realized that you could've wanted a soft thing of valentino and reader talking it out and being like 'erm bro i got jealous...' and shit but like i went more of the canon route :3333 Pairing: Valentino x GN! Reader, (Platonic) Angel Dust x GN! Reader Warnings: Valentino typical shit, weaaaapoons ooo, Violence, Angel Dust slander, Valentino being an asshole, Degradation, SFW-ish HCs:
You and Angel Dust were Valentino's top stars. Made him the most cash and shit so he was slightly nicer to the both of you. Of course, that also meant you had to film more often.
So, imagine how fucking PISSED he was when you were not only late for filming, your ass also went to goof around with Angel. Mind you, he was already pissing and shitting himself after Angel skeddaddled to the Hazbitch Hotel.
The mere thought that he might lose another of his top stars to that shithole made him petulantly stomp his feet like a whiny bitch. He decided to be a nice, kind individual (he's delusional) and try to let you off with a warning. Honestly, said 'warning' was just him making you feel like shit and making himself seem nice and all that.
As much as he likes the amount of cash Angel Dust gets him, he gets irked every time he sees that slutty bitch's face. It was definitely hypocritical of him to say, but he considered Angel a 'bad influence'. He's just waiting for the day he catches you fucking around with those redemption hoes. Valentino's hands are just itching to grab his beloved gun and shoot the fucking hotel up. (lmao will I get flagged for that)
Thank god you weren't late for anything else for a long while. Valentino almost forgot how much he was raging until he spots Angel and you at a mall. A fucking mall. Great, and you're even giggling and kicking your feet with him. Valentino swears he has no actual interest in you, but that shit set him off. He screeches at Vox for like 3 hours until you pull up at the studio and he goes batshit.
He gives Angel the most ominous glare in the history of, idk, me and your mom's relationship and drags you to the dressing room. Seriously, why the fuck is he acting like this? Fucking hell. Why the fuck were you flirting with the horny spider shitbag? (Delusional Valentino real) To be fair, he'd be more pissed if you were trying to hit on some rando in the street, but Angel Dust is still a traitorous lying dick in his book. I forgot if that was a phrase or not. Or idiom, I don't fucking know.
Wow, that's a lot of fucks.
Now for the sussy HC's boom:
He's fucking your brains out. He probably won't stop until he physically sees marks of his hands and teeth everywhere. Doesn't bother to prep you with anything, just rawdogs it.
Has you bent over the makeup desk thing or whatever the fuck it's called and holding your face in one of his hands. Says the most condescending shit, but it just sounds embarrassingly insecure. Well, it would be funny if it wasn't for how he's one movement away from choking your lights out.
His claws dig into your back and he has one of your legs onto the table just to hit the angle that has you crying. All the while, his mouth is yapping away about how if you left him he would track you down and obliterate your asshole until you can't walk for the next week and a half.
Bonus points if he drags Angel in just to watch his expression while he makes you say stupid shit. Probably thinks he's being cool based off Angel Dust's upset face, but that's mainly because Angel's just feeling bad for you. Valentino's still having his headcanon that Angel and you are trying to hit it off.
Valentino's probably pushing the laws of physics with this because that's at least Mach 10 speed. It's a joke, I think. Running his fingers over your spine to watch you shiver, his pride is almost palpable.
Once he busted a nut, he walks off like nothing happens. Literally strutting away like he just invented the flying dildo or something. Oh god, this is making me think that he probably has. Christ.
Angel helps clean you up and the two of you can share a depressing laugh about how you're literally just homies. Valentino acts a lot more possessive afterwards and religiously stares Angel Dust down.
Good luck trying to leave the tower now, he's making sure he's constantly watching you.
Drabble woo (i'll make a ff of this soon i promise)
Valentino's eye twitches as he takes labored breaths. "You fucking slut." He growls out as he clenches and unclenches his fists. His wings are unraveled and he slams the dressing room door shut. Suddenly, his entire personality pulls a 180. His lower set of hands go to cup your face and he visibly relaxes. "Aw, baby," He coos. "Do I not give you enough attention? Is that why you're so desperate to whore around with Angel?" As if he's trying to coax an answer out of you, he runs his hand down your back in a comforting (?) motion. Apparently his attention span is really fucking low because he abruptly stands up and lifts you up by your neck. He fucking squeezes. Hard. "How the fuck am I not treating you well enough? Since you have so much time to fuck around and go burn my well earned cash with that lanky bitch, how about you tell me what you're not happy about?!" His nails dig into your skin and you can vaguely feel the blood slowly trickling down. Your heart is like it's beating out of your chest and holy shit, the adrenaline is going crazy.
AN: okay yeah so sry for sudden stop but ill probably write this as a fanfic thing later cuz rn i procrasinated this req for soo long like 5 whopping days bro oh my gyatt. im gonna work on my masterlist and whatever first and then ill get this done okie? okie thanks 4 understanding i hope this req was what you wanted otherwise feel free to ask for a remake w/ a diff vibe yk :p

I hope this isn't being to personal for living people area, I'm not asking for a deep dive into her life or anything. If you're a fan of Superman(who isn't besides supervillains, right?) you're going to be familiar with Lois Lane's work. Well, I was looking at some stuff about the All-Star Squadron and noticed the name of one of the lesser known Squad members, The Jester real name Chuck Lane. Are they at all related? It'd be so cool if the woman who helped introduce the world to superheroes had a mystery man in her family history
Not only am I a superhero historian, I also went to college in Metropolis and still get the Daily Planet delivered. I know who Lois Lane is. She's not the kind of public figure one is capable of ignoring once aware of her and her contributions not only within the field of public liaison for the first and greatest hero of his generation but in general as a seeker of truth and a gadfly in the halls of power speak for themselves.
Chuck Lane AKA The Jester was a mystery man of a more obscure kind, though he had connections to the Freedom Fighters sub group within the All Star Squadron, having worked with them before the war.
(A newspaper photo of the Jester breaking up a fascist attempt to rob a benefit for war orphans within the British Empire)
As for your theory that their shared Lane name might give them some kind of relationship. I'm going to say no for the pure fact that Chuck Lane's personal life is a 15 car pile up of batshit that I would love to share with you now.
The Lane family of Chuck's birth were rather affluent Northeast WASP types, their point of pride being their claim to descent from Walter DeLane, supposed the court jester of King Arthur (Arthurian scholars, both literary and historical, cannot agree on a single thing ABOUT DeLane so I am leaving that serpent where I found it unless someone forces me otherwise)
Revealing this to Chuck upon his graduation from police academy, they also revealed the bigger bombshell. That they were members of a secret society known as The Arcadians, who had attempted to "guide" America into the role of global superpower since the Revolutionary Age. Including pushing American into intervention in WWII to accelerate its discovery of the atomic bomb.
After the war, Chuck rose to a position of authority within the Arcadians but often clashes with its antidemocratic ideals. It wasn't until the death of Chuck's son and daughter in law by Arcadian decree that Chuck turned against them totally, raising his orphaned grandson to take on his role as The Jester.
(Charles Lane II upon attacking an Arcadian ball and holding the crowd at gunpoint)
While they DID succeed in bringing down the Arcadians in a suicide attack that cost the elder Lane his life, it seems Lane II had made plans beyond those of his grandfather, attempting the use of mystical artifacts to absorb and co-opt the power of Uncle Sam to grant himself dominion of the United States. In a battle that cost the life of Andre Twist, the fourth Firebrand, he was defeated and taken into custody where he was eventually sentenced to death by a jury of his peers.
All of this foolishness (no pun intended) leaves the Jester Lanes with more than a bit of a mixed legacy. While the elder Lane did indeed fight against fascists and villains in his day, and eventually give his life to stop the Arcadians. His tacit capitulation to their oligarchic ideals after the war for years, only to become personally invested in destroying them after the death of his son calls his motivations into question and his desire for revenge and failure to fully reject the Arcadian worldview turned his grandson into a reactionary monster.

I’m bored and ao3 is kinda dry (atleast for the wttt ny tag)
so here are some NY ships I NEED to see more of 🙏
—
MassYork: ok, I used to be almost totally opposed to this, seeing them having more of a brotherly relationship but with history n stuff it’s kinda not possible. But anyway, probably my main ship for now, bc OHMYGOD “nobody can kill you but me”? GET OUT, GET MARRIED, PLEASE.
like if it’s Mass/Cali/York or Mass/Jersey/York I will eat it up.
no questions, it is already in my mouth. I am eating the fuck outta this.
GeoYork: in my mind they have a cute dynamic. I feel they would be best friends as younger colonies and then have a very complicated relationship until they finally get together. Slowburn kinda, also kinda they have been in relationships dozens of times but something always happens. and isn’t Georgia called the “Empire State of the South”? or am I just hearing things
peach + apple? cobbler + pie? idek but I love them
TexYork: guys pls. southern gentleman and city boy? literally perfect for each other. they would make fun of each other endlessly. accents, vocabulary, actions, plus so much more because they’re very different.
TX taking York to his ranch to meet bro’s cows??? yes please. I’d like to meet Betsy too .
^TexaCaliYork: also a fire ship (see what I did there?) like the ship above, but with the hipster in it aswell. Texas and Cal constantly bicker like children and York sorts it out like a teacher would.
NY: you hurt his feelin’s, go apologize.
TX, scoffing: fine, but don’t expect me to get along with him after.
(spoiler alert!! York forces them into a cuddle pile afterwards to get over there lifelong beef)
IlliYork: they’re enemies, they’re lovers, the whole kit-and-caboodle. they’d switch hats sometimes and hold each others hand when they’re in their cities. they’re idiots and the Midwest and the Northeast hate them for it. It’s kinda gross but in a good way.
they’d be the couple who like hold hands in public but not make a single move other than that to show that they love the other. absolutely no kissing in public, they would just sit there in silence with a death grip on the other’s hand. they would totally insult each other to the face and then say, “Love you, tho.”
FloYork: fun fact: they are absolutely insane together. They influence each other and constantly say stupid shit. Florida would force York outta his comfort zone from time to time but the inner extrovert masked by New York’s fake introvert personality will do it almost willingly. he puts up a “fight” but he would deadass do it bc he thinks this shit is hilarious.
NY would be a little like Florida even if they weren’t dating. like NYC is absolutely batshit so that would mean York would have to be a little too.
NY/CA/TX/FL/LA: little crazy, ik, but I remember reading fics abt these five (including gov, but I’m still questioning if he would be in here or not) and absolutely devouring them. spectacular ship. it’s like a little bit of everything, except the Midwest and the other western states, but almost everything. I would love to see more of them.
they would def fight over each other. (who got to hold hands with who, who got to sleep/cuddle with who, etc.)
—
I’m not forcing you to give into my opinions, but if u like these, I like you 😼
some of these hc’s are not entirely mine, some were influenced, tho most are from the rotting part of my brain
I hope u use these ships in the future or I might spontaneously combust
(spoiler alert 2!! I will still explode [out of love] if u write about them)
ily guys

Nisie's Year in Books | 2024
books i read this year (its pretty much all queer romance)
Top 5 Reads of 2024
Limited to books released in 2024 only (otherwise how the fuck do i choose???).
Prince of Agony (Perilous Courts #6), Tavia Lark
Swordcrossed, Freya Marsk
What Feasts at Night (Sworn Soldier, #2), TJ Kingfisher
Don't Want You Like a Best Friend (Mischief & Matchmaking #1), Emma Alban
The Captive's Curse (Twilight Mages Book 2), Eliot Grayson
Full review list under cut
Purple are queer romance books I would recommend! Pink are other books I would recommend!
Captain's Surrender, Alex Beecroft ★★★☆☆ Jan 2024 I feel sure that i have read this before but it's not in my good reads history so I'm adding it now. Overall an enjoyable book but there was a bit too much gay angsting for my tastes, I don't care for stories with moral or religious dilemmas over being queer. Naval bits were fun and exciting. Not sure how their Happy Ending is supposed to work with them both being captains but my best wishes to them
Hunting the Spy, Tyler Flynn ★★★☆☆ Jan 10, 2024 Didn't really like this book until the last 20% or so. Nathan is really unlikeable and mean to his beloved, Peter, who is precious and sweet and never did anything wrong. It wasn't until Nathan realized he loved and trusted Peter and begrudgingly accepted his help that story became interesting.
On a Lee Shore, Elin Gregory ★★★☆☆ Jan 25, 2024 Very slow burn. Main character is slightly annoying but he comes around eventually.
Twisted Tome, Vanora Lawless ★★★★☆ Jan 29, 2024 Fun plot, likeable characters, but I feel like it could have done with more editing. There were many parts that felt too long.
Slippery Creatures (The Will Darling Adventures, #1), K.J. Charles ★★★★☆ Feb 08, 2024 ok so i will never like Kim and Will as much as Daniel and Archie, but they are similarly shaped hot messes so I love them anyways, and this was probably my 3rd reread of this book.
The Stablemaster's Heart (Tales of Lilleforth #2), Sarah Honey ★★★☆☆ Feb 11, 2024 Characters were likeable but the writing felt strangely YA for a book with constant and detailed sex scenes.
The Sugared Game (The Will Darling Adventures, #2), K.J. Charles ★★★★★ Feb 24, 2024 I absolutely love how messy these guys are!! and the cameos by some characters from Think of England/Proper English !!!!! (also a reread)
Subtle Blood (The Will Darling Adventures, #3), K.J. Charles ★★★★★ Feb 28, 2024 KIMMMMMMM WHY ARE YOU YOU????
The Larks Still Bravely Singing, Aster Glenn Gray ★★★★☆ Mar 02, 2024 I mostly enjoyed this book but the ending was a bit underwhelming and it felt like there wasn't really any closure or character growth. But they did end up together so that was good.
Ghost Star Night (Sea of Stars, #1), Nicole Kimberling ★★★☆☆ Mar 11, 2024 Didn't enjoy as much as last time. It's still batshit crazy and the mcs are likeable but the plot is so fucking wild???
Tramps and Vagabonds, Aster Glenn Gray ★☆☆☆☆ Mar 12, 2024 DNF at 50%. Honestly I thought it was boring and didn't seem like the plot was going anywhere
Heir of Starlight (Sea of Stars, #2), Nicole Kimberling ★★★★★ Mar 24, 2024 This is a wierd ass book, and I don't know why I like it as much as I do, but here we are - I enjoyed this book where the love interest is trapped in the body of an orangutan.
King's Man (Outlawed #1), Sally Malcolm ★★★★☆ Mar 29, 2024 Good tension happy ending, likeable characters and side characters.
A Botanical Daughter, Noah Medlock ★★☆☆☆ Apr 05, 2024 DNF after part 1 of 3. Simon and Gregor just didn't feel like good or likeable people and I just didn't feel interested in following them on their journey. Their relationship dynamic didn't feel happy or healthy either since Gregor seems to constantly bully Simon and ignore his feelings and concerns. Lastly, I'm sorry but digging up the corpse of your housekeeper's bff without consent and experimenting on it in the basement is a line I don't think protagonists should cross. Personally I would give this a 1 star but it gets an extra because it has potential. I think the story would have worked better and been more interesting if it was entirely told from Jenny's perspective, since she's the only likeable character (as far as I read)..
The Royal Curse (Twilight Mages, #1), Eliot Grayson ★★★★☆ Apr 08, 2024 I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would
What Feasts at Night (Sworn Soldier, #2), T. Kingfisher ★★★★☆ Apr 28, 2024 LET ALEX EASTON FUCK A MONSTER!
The Scottish Boy, Alex de Campi ★★★☆☆ May 2024 This started off strong and it was shaping up to be one of my favorite books. Then it turned sideways and the plot stopped making sense. Still have very mixed feelings about this.
Finding You, Finding Me, Bailey Queen ★★☆☆☆ May 04, 2024 The romance between Henry and Will felt forced. It felt like Henry had more romantic tension with his friend/superior Giordano than Will.
Knight of Nights, Karin Kallmaker ★★☆☆☆ May 10, 2024 Plot didn't really seem to go anywhere and it ended surprisingly abruptly. Didn't like the coin's melodramatic and mysterious comments. Skyra and Kirstine were likeable characters but their romance felt a bit forced. I wanted to like this but there was too much that wasn't to my taste
Crowns and Swords (Royalty & Romance, #1), J.L. Meyrick ★★☆☆☆ May 22, 2024 i don't remember this at all
A Nobleman's Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel (The Doomsday Books, #2), K.J. Charles ★★★★★ May 28, 2024 The spicy sequel I have been waiting for!! Luke is absolutely hands down one of my favorite characters.
The Secret Lives of Country Gentlemen (The Doomsday Books, #1), K.J. Charles ★★★★★ May 30, 2024 this is the good stuff
Wine and War: The French, the Nazis, and the Battle for France's Greatest Treasure, Don Kladstrup ★★★★★ May 31, 2024 A NON FICTION BOOK!!! IT IS GOOD
A Rulebook for Restless Rogues (Lucky Lovers of London, #2), Jess Everlee ★★★★☆ Jun 02, 2024 This book had a lot going on, possibly too much?
The Gentleman's Book of Vices (Lucky Lovers of London, #1), Jess Everlee ★★★★☆ Jun 06, 2024 First time I tried this book I quit in the first chapter. (The scenes in the molly house were annoying) Second time I held on and made it through to the actual plot which was entertaining and the couple was delightful.
The Oak and the Ash (The Old Bridge Inn #3), Annick Trent ★★★★★ Jun 17, 2024 Absolutely loved this book!!! Just average working folks trying pursue their dreams and build a relationship while earning a living and avoiding the trouble the aristocracy creates! A wonderful blend of realism, hopefulness and cosy.
Harvest Season (The Old Bridge Inn series), Annick Trent ★★★★☆ Jun 19, 2024 hell yeah lesbians! workers!
Bound to the Wild Fae (Fortune Favors the Fae, #3), Tavia Lark ★★★★★ Jun 21, 2024 Absolutely adorable romance!!! Love Yarrow's immediate need to protect his small human!!!
Silk & Sand (Seth & Raider #1), Katherine Diane ★★★☆☆ Jul 2024 i can't even begin to describe how wacky this series is.
Hothouse Bloom (Ramsbury Estate, #1), Hannah Morse ★★★★☆ Jul 06, 2024 Overall a perfectly fine little story but could have used finer proofreading
Don't Want You Like a Best Friend (Mischief & Matchmaking #1), Emma R. Alban ★★★★☆ Jul 11, 2024 Generally I liked this, the characters were likeable, their relationships with their parents were wonderful, and their friendships with cousins and such was sweet. There were a few spots I felt the characters did unlikely things to advance the plot but overall a fun read.
A Bluestocking's Guide to Decadence (Lucky Lovers of London, #3), Jess Everlee ★★★☆☆ Jul 15, 2024 Overall pretty good but there were some moments where it felt like "eating your vegetables". I love Jo but Emily's perspective was a bit tedious at times.
The Lighthouse Keeper, Liv Rancourt ★★☆☆☆ Jul 20, 2024 It felt like there were too many plot threads that didn't always make sense. The romance between Rafe and Vincent felt a bit forced.
The Duke at Hazard (Gentlemen of Uncertain Fortune, #2), K.J. Charles ★★★☆☆ Jul 24, 2024 I didn't particularly enjoy this book. Cassian wasn't likeable until a good way through the book and the villain was too mustache twirling and over the top bad guy. Meanwhile Daizell was perfect and did nothing wrong!!!
The Captive's Curse (Twilight Mages Book 2), Eliot Grayson ★★★★☆ Jul 26, 2024 Highly entertaining and spicy! Cyril was incredibly annoying and I have no idea how Enzo puts up with him but to each their own.
Silver & Gold (Seth & Raider #2), Katherine Diane ★★☆☆☆ Aug 03, 2024 I r really wanted to like this book, but the ratio of action to romance was off. 90% of this book was sex or talking through trauma. It got to the point where I would skip over sex scenes and dialogue, because how many times do you need to know that raider and Seth have hot sex, and that they love each other enough to work through trauma. It's fine, we don't need to know all the details!!! The last 10% of the book was enjoyable, because that's when the plot finally kicked in.
Never Darling (Fortune Favors the Fae, #6), Sam Burns ★★★☆☆ Aug 06, 2024 It was a bit strange that this story was set almost entirely in the human world with fairies just kind of being there at the end. I think the concept for the story was interesting but the slow burn over 3-4 years was implausible. A lot happens in 3 years and you're just not going to remember someone who stopped by once! Meanwhile the background story with Everett and Peter actually seemed more interesting than the main story. I also just don't like stories with hot rich nice guys who just swoop in and solve all of a poor person's problems. Not my kind of fantasy. I think overall it was a taste mismatch for me, and people with different tastes than me will probably enjoy it.
Prince of Poison (Fortune Favors the Fae, #7), Alice Winters ★★☆☆☆ Aug 08, 2024 This felt like 2 books smashed into one - there wasn't enough clues for the reader to understand the layers until 60% through. The plot was convoluted and relied too much on characters explaining it. Lastly the language and dialogue felt really off, they all sounded like teenagers instead of fantasy characters. I'm not exactly expecting Tolkien, but am expecting significantly less "like"s and "I guess" es. Overall I think this had the potential to be a great story but could have used stronger editing.
The Queer Principles of Kit Webb (London Highwaymen, #1), Cat Sebastian ★★★★★ Aug 11, 2024 BE GAY DO CRIME THE NOVEL
Prince of Agony (Perilous Courts #6), Tavia Lark ★★★★★ Aug 16, 2024 WOW OH WOW this is SO GOOD!!!!! KAZIA IS MY BESTEST BABY BOY SO SAD, SO TRAGIC SO PURPLE!! (and yes i have read it 3 times already) .
The Necromancer's Light, Tavia Lark ★★★★★ Aug 18, 2024 Charming romance! Love an opposites attract! They're an adorable couple - what else do I need to say?
These Old Lies, Larrie Barton ★★★☆☆ Aug 24, 2024 Feels weird giving this a 3/5 because I loved AND hated this book. I think it had so much potential and mostly a good plot, it's the timeline of events that makes it unbearably slow and full of needless suffering. I think the arc of the story, which takes almost 30 years to resolve, really could have been resolved within 6 years. I think it would have been a tighter storyline and more hopeful story if the author had compressed the timeline and reduced the characters suffering and pining.
Prince and Assassin (Perilous Courts, #1), Tavia Lark ★★★★★ Aug 28, 2024 Absolutely loved this book! Both Julien and Whisper are absolutely loveable and have a great dynamic. Assassin falling for target is a classic trope for a reason!!!
The Forgotten Dead (OutFoxing the Paranormal, #1), Jordan L. Hawk ★★★★☆ Aug 30, 2024 This was somewhere between a 3 and 4 for me. I can't put my finger on anything that bad or that I particularly disliked but I wasn't feral over it either
Hunter Omega: M/M Paranormal Romance, Liv Rider ★★★☆☆ Sep 2024 A perfectly fine popcorn romance.
You're the Problem, It's You (Mischief & Matchmaking #2), Emma R. Alban ★★☆☆☆ Sep 02, 2024 UPDATE: the book improved significantly literally on the next page after i quit. I did go back and finish the story. so maybe its a 3/5? DNF at 40% it was just too annoying and stressful to keep reading. Bobby Mason was mostly delightful, but Demeroven was whiny, rude and annoying in every scene he was in. Raverson and the evil Stepfather were both too obviously moustache twirling villains and also unnecessary plot points. I didn't believe the attraction between Bobby and Demeroven one bit it was just exhausting to see them continuously arguing and in fact arguing in circles, until they end up on opposite sides but still arguing.
A Thief in the Night, K.J. Charles ★★★★☆ Sep 30, 2024 Great story! Wished it was longer!! Love a happy ending that involves stealing from the rich!!
Liar City (Sugar & Vice #1), Allie Therin ★★★★★ Oct 05, 2024 I really wasn't expecting to love this as much as I do!! I'm not a fan of contemporary fiction but I love Allie Therin's other books so I thought I'd give it a try. I ended up staying up until 3 AM to finish this book in a day
Peacemaker (Sharps & Springfield, #1), Morgan Brice ★☆☆☆☆ Oct 08, 2024 This is one of the most frustrating books I ever read. I should have put it down but it was so close to what I wanted. This book is like going to the freezer for a rich creamy ice cream and only finding a ice encrusted popsicle with freeze burn. The romance between the main characters felt forced and unappealing. They were both incredibly bad at giving and receiving "I want to fuck you" cues and they're also just bad at their jobs? Most of this book was dialogue, with other characters telling them what they had already discovered. The "evil plot" was unnecessarily convoluted and I have no idea how any of the characters reached the conclusions they did. I wish I could have liked this book
You Should Be So Lucky, Cat Sebastian ★★★★☆ Nov 30, 2024 I won't say this book made me care about baseball, but it made me not mind the fact that baseball was here. The romance was charming and the slow burn addictive, although it was probably too slow for my tastes. I think what really kept this from being a 5 star book for me is that it didn't really feel like Romance - it felt like a mid-century period piece about 2 gay men finding a life together. WHich is good, don't get me wrong, but not what I was expecting.
Twisted Shadows (Sugar & Vice, #2), Allie Therin ★★★★★ Dec 19, 2024 Oh my God!!! The most delicious and horny of slow burns!!!!!! It was so good i immediately re-read as soon as i finished it.
One Night in Hartswood, Emma Denny ★★★★☆ Dec 22, 2024 There were a lot of things that annoyed me, including a whole lot of unnecessary misunderstandings, but it had such a delightful ending that overall I did really like this book
Swordcrossed, Freya Marske ★★★★☆ Dec 25, 2024 I'm glad I stuck this one through, though the beginning was rough. I feel like there was too many details of this fantasy world introduced too quickly, and the writing style felt a bit -hm- like it was trying too hard to be high brow? Eventually though the tension between the characters kicked in and the world started to make sense and then it became a whirlwind to the dramatic finish!! (Although I'm a little sad we didn't get DOUBLE WEDDING) The setting is very much like Swordspoint, or the Astreiant series or Daughter of Mystery, but less white, which is great. Would love to see more books in this universe.
Boyfriend Material (London Calling, #1), Alexis Hall ★☆☆☆☆ Dec 25, 2024 DNF at 5% - i just couldn't get into it - I don't really like first-person perspective, and I especially don't like it when the narrator just goes on and on about what a disaster they are, and how HARD their life is, and BOO HOO all anyone cares about is his famous dad. I suppose this makes the character relatable for some people, but doesn't do it for me.

We need to talk about Buck saying "He dumped me"
If others can have batshit theories, well, so can I.
I think Buck was ready (ready as is in he wanted Tommy so badly that he didn't take the time to think about what that would mean) to jump into a relationship with Tommy. His first instinct was to say Tommy dumped him. Then he had to amend that all sadly.
And he couldn't stop thinking about him. Buck really did speedrun his own coming out because he liked Tommy so much. I wonder what happened on the ride back in the helicopter that got Buck so sprung.
I mean, we know the fake mouth static and dry humor was what drew Buck's attention.
Buck was gone from Day 1. So possessive yet it took him 2 weeks to reach out to Tommy, maybe he was hoping Tommy would reach out first since they had such a good time together during the rescue. And when Tommy didn't reach out, Buck did what he had to do
And some folks have pointed out to me that Tommy didn't reach out first because he probably heard about Buck's dating history and thought he was straight. So poor Buck just wanted to be with the muscly pilot in every which way possible.
Sorry, the edible kicked in, so my train of thought is gone like the wind.

Lmao, as usual it turns out that Karlie had a perfectly good reason for doing this Paris stunt with Josh, Matty just got engaged to his girlfriend a couple of hours ago and because Taylor is using Matty as a red herring for Karlie to slowly get her fans used to the idea of her having been in love with someone they don't think is right/good for her for the last 10 years so when things get more blatantly Kaylor-y it's less of a shock to her fans system, Karlie and Matty kind of have to do similar-ish things at similar-ish times for this whole red herring schtick to work.
Now Taylor has the perfect excuse to act batshit insane in public and her fans will initially think it's because Matty went and got engaged even after Taylor put out TTPD but in hindsight they'll be like "Oh, Karlie being all lovey-dovey with her hubby in Paris is what made Taylor sad because Paris was special to Kaylor as a relationship, my heart 💔" after Taylor eventually switches Matty out of the narrative for Karlie when the time is finally right, this Paris stunt is literally a perfect opportunity designed for Taylor to use to guilt trip her fans into accepting her and Karlie in the future.
God, there's always SO much bitching and moaning about Karlie stunting with Josh and then nobody ever apologizes for acting like a jackass towards Karlie when it's always inevitably revealed that Karlie did the stunting with Josh because some scheme/narrative of Taylor's required Karlie to do it for it to work the way Taylor wants it to.
Like maybe if people waited a damn second so they could see if the reason why Karlie did a stunt with Josh becomes obvious within like 48 hours of the stunt for once instead of jumping at the first opportunity to crucify Karlie, then maybe Taylor wouldn't be so goddamn pissed off at the world and at her fans that she's contemplating just burning her whole life as Taylor Swift™️ down and running away with Karlie in the middle of the biggest goddamn international tour in history 🚬😒
Angry Cigarette Anon I love you

It's funny how ss fans can be wrong even when they are... right. Yes, I'm not contradicting myself.
As you all can see thanks to the pics I posted, one of them was "talking" (read: whining) about how ss has mythology references as well.
Well, I won't denying it.
Saying otherwise could be 1. false, 2. wrong, 3. hypocrite, 4. honestly against my very line of work.
However, I would like to point out something:
Ninigi has, indeed, similiarities with Sasuke, such as:
a. his "connection" with Amaterasu
b. kusanagi
c. he will marry Sakura
But. The similiarities end here.
Now, that could be hardly casual given Kishimoto's clear knowledge of mythology, history and literature; however, aside from the marriage and the sakura flower, the similiarities between Sakura and Sakuya-hime, instead, stop here.
Thinking he could have used this specific, eventual, references to mark Sasuke and Sakura's relationship as a romantic one is ontologically wrong.
Why? For the genericity of the references, obviously.
Amaterasu and Kusanagi are two milestones of Japanese mythology and one can find them in several legends, related to very different characters.
Secondly, the comparison between Sakura and Konohana Sakuya-hime isn't flattering.
She was the usual empty, batshit crazy woman who burned the hut with their children inside to prove she didn't cheat on him.
You can find it in every, single, version of the myth. The girl was not fine.
The usage of fire as well: great, really, but a fuckton of japanese deities are fire-repellent, so it's like to say... nothing spectacular?
Now, about the "sources" they shared:
Aside from the one pic with Kaguya (totally out of the blue, I would say, given I only stated sun and moon symbolism are often associated with sexual intercourses or lovers), we have:
- Sakura and Sasuke's name on the sand (probably written by Sakura, don't know why this is relevant.
- Sasuke with kusanagi (that's okay) and snakes: here the snakes are clearly the focal point. But why? Was Ninigi associated with snakes?
- The cover with Sakura wearing a sakura-flowered dress and while holding the Uchiwa fan.
The last one specifically is... interesting because: where is the deep references? The flowers? That's the girl's name. The fan? It seems more like another sign of Sakura crushing on Sasuke and writing "Sakura Uchiha" on her notebook while giggling.
So, the point is:
If you want to make an analysis you need:
1. real sources (not photos already crafted to prove your ss point) - btw, I gave actual books, but they refused to take them in consideration;
2. to use images consistently.
Here a summarised analysis:
Shinjū is a Japanese term meaning "double suicide". Lovers committing double suicide believed that they would be united again in heaven. It was also possible for lovers to commit a murder-suicide (muri-shinjū).
This is a clear example of Shinjū's reference:
Here, we have:
- the will to die together
- the hope they will meet again in the afterlife
- the "connection of hearts" (from the very term's meaning and the context)
Here the sources:
1. Becker, Buddhist Views of Suicide and Euthanasia, Philosophy East and West
2. Takahashi, Cultural dynamics and the unconscious in suicide in Japan
3. Leupp, Male Colors: The construction of homosexuality in Tokugawa Japan
4. Heldt, Between followers and friends: male homosocial desire in Heian Court Poetry
5. Saikaku Ihara, Love of Comrades
6. Saikaku Ihara, The Great Mirror of male love
7. Rogers, She loves me, she loves me not. Shinju and Shikido Okagami
8. Heine, Tragedy and Salvation in the Floating World
THIS is a sensible reference. And a very small analysis.
And a parallelism.
Bye :)
PS Tumblr fucked up the pics order (sorryyyy)

I have thoughts on the interview where Noel says that Liam is deeply in love with him. 4:37
youtube
Thanks @devilsrefugee for providing the source. And thank you @lily-bluey for translating. I have looked for it for ages! Up to now, I thought it might have been an Oasis myth-quote. Is there also a source for the other quote where he says that Liam has always loved him and loves him even more now than when Noel was in Oasis?
Anyway, we could put this comment down to Noel being sarcastic and/or a massive cunt. Which he is.
But there is sarcasm and dry humour, and then there is saying that your brother is deeply in love with you. Twice. As if that wasn't a punchy enough statement to make, Noel pushes it further by saying his brother is upset about the fact that he is deeply in love with him.
Had he left it at the first one, we might have been able to file it under 'batshit crazy things Noel says' albeit with a distinct sense of 'that's not how brothers should talk about one another'. But drawing attention to Liam being very, very upset by it was extra. It hints at something else beneath the humorous surface. Even if it's not true, this is something that Noel had in his head? For how long? It's tempting to reflect on Oasis history and how the band ended, beyond the usual power struggles.
I mean, those two weaponising the fears and insecurities of each other is nothing new, but weaponising romantic attraction in your brotherly power struggle is not normal no matter how it’s spun.
If it's not true that Liam was in love with Noel, the fact that he used a universal taboo against Liam is a worryingly disturbed head space for Noel to have been in. If it is true, then it's almost worse, because Noel was hurting Liam in the cruellest way, not by exposing Liam's fears or insecurities, but by exposing his love.
Whatever the case, his comment strongly suggests romantic attraction was either at play or threatening to be, for one or both of them. After all, you don't just pull 'incest' out of your sarcasm and dry humour arsenal.
Oddly, when he was asked on twitter if it was true (since made private) Liam didn't exactly deny it. He could have said Noel was full of shit like he usually does, but he didn't. And there could be no mistaking the nature of the question/statement.
I'm not saying this proves that they had a sexual relationship or that they desired one another in a sexual way - it doesn't - but it does indicate that their relationship was much more complicated than most Oasis fans would care to admit. And when you contextualise this quote with the vast library of similar quotes, song lyrics, all the video clips, the multiple photos of them kissing, it's not a stretch to say that something else was going on, at least on an emotional level.

Why each loser in IT 1986 is better than the 2017 version
Bill
-HES SO FUCKING SASSY IN THE BOOK! it’s so fun. he’s much more of a leader in the book and he’s really cool. Bossy too, but in the way where his character has depth and isn’t just annoying. Also he’s not a fucking dumbass! In the movie, he’s all like “georgie isn’t dead, he’s missing :(((“ but in the book he’s like “this fucking clown murdered my brother, time to go get my revenge” he’s just so much better but honestly not the one I have the most beef with
Mike
-oh, you mean to tell me in the book he actually has a character? he’s not just there for no reason? WHAT AN INTERESTING CONCEPT! too bad the movie decided not to keep it. He’s an icon in the book, smart and controlled and understanding of the world and the cycle. In the movie, Ben is the one who talks about derrys history, but Mike takes that role in the book, something much more befitting of his character imo. In the movie, especially the 2nd, he’s a raving, frantic maniac who has lost his mind after staying in Derry for so long. This isn’t his character at all in the book. He actually knows what he’s doing and is the most measured out of all the losers [also in the book he almost fucking dies lmao]
Bev
-I have mixed feelings about Bev’s character tbh. Her character in the book isn’t the best, due to ✨sexism✨, and on the surface she seems a lot cooler in the movie BUT HERES THE THING they basically took Richie’s book character and gave it to her. The whole bravery thing, sticking with bill, etc etc THAT WAS RICHIE!!!! THAT WAS HIS CHARACTER!!!! HE WAS BILLS RIGHT HAND MAN!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!
Stan
He doesn’t have much of a character in the book, and the movie isn’t much better. I like him better in the book bc he’s autistic and his special interest is birds and he yells the names of birds at It it’s really cute
Richie
dear god. WOW I LOVE HOW THEY REMOVED ALL OF HIS DEPTH AND MADE HIM A SILLY LITTLE SIDE CHARACTER THAT ONLY MAKES JOKES!!! I LOVE HOW THEY REMOVED HIS VOICES!!! I LOVE HOW HES SUCH A WHINY BITCH AND HE DOESNT WANNA DO ANYTHING!!! I LOVE HOW HE FOUGHT WITH BILL!!! I LOVE HOW HIS FEAR OF EYES IS NONEXISTENT!!!! I LOVE HOW HES THE FIRST ONE TO DROP OUT WHEN THINGS GO WRONG!!! /S NO FUCKING NO THAT ISNT HIM AT ALL!!! HES SILLY AND A DUMBASS BUT IS MORE OBSERVANT THAN ANY OF THE LOSERS AND HES BATSHIT INSANE AND IS FUNNY AS FUCK AND ACTUALLY HAS TRAUAMA AND CHARACTER DEPTH AND HES MY FUCKING FAVORITE WHY DJD THEY DO HIM LKMD THIS IT MAKES ME SO MAD
Eddie
He’s almost worse than Richie. almost. In the book he’s both athletic and really good with directions, but in the movie he’s neither of these things. He’s pathetic, but he’s not a wimp. WHEN THEY WERE FIGHTING AN EYE THEY WERE ALL GONNA DIE AND THEN EDDIE STSRTED FUCKING PUNCHING IT AND HE FIGURED OUT HOW TO BEAT IT AND SAVED EVERYBODYS LIVES GODDAMN IT WHY DOES THIS FUCKING MOVIE GIVE EVERYONE ONLY ONE CHARACTER TRAIT WHAG RHE FUCM also his abusive relationship with his mom is never looked into on a deeper level but at least we got the gazebos line. I genuinely love that
Ben
I had no great love for him in the book, but at least he’s not a stupid fucking dumbass. WHY DID THEY MAKE HIM A NEW KID IT MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE
feel free to debate if you disagree!!! I’d love to see other opinions!!!

Silly Game Time: Are you a fan of the Sci-Fi genre? If so, what's a Sci-Fi story you really like, and why? (movie, show, book, game, etc.) (could also be blended with any other genre)
I am once again demanding everyone read/watch The Expanse by S.A. Corey. The characters, the arcs, the worldbuilding!
Started as a book series and was adapted into a 5 season show and my GOD do I adore it. I'm long overdue for a refresh, so I'm going to take the season 1 summary from the wiki:
Set hundreds of years in the future, after mankind has colonized the solar system. A hardened detective and a rogue ship's captain come together for what starts as a missing young woman and evolves into a race across the solar system to expose the greatest conspiracy in human history.
That's a broad overview that doesn't do the politics, relationships, and worldbuilding justice.
For example, the rogue captain is rogue against his (and his crew's) will after their job as ice haulers abruptly ended when they were caught in the cross-fire of Earth/Martian politics. And the missing young woman went missing under circumstances that are appearing more and more to defy the very laws of reality.
I seriously cannot recommend it enough like. None of this is even near to capturing how batshit the series makes me. it's SO good. complex, fleshed out, dramatic. it is genuinely my favorite sci-fi story of all time, and top 2 shows i've ever watched.
PLEASE read/watch the expanse by james s.a. corey i'll beg on my knees if I have to

I genuinely don't see why people don't like Gaz or don't like to include him, I absolutely love Gaz and he's one of my favorite characters.
I find it pretty sad, and people before me have said this, but Gaz often gets replaced in stories and headcanons by König. And I don't understand it.
Gaz is part of 141. When people tell me to write a fic or headcanons about 141 I always include Gaz. If König is included so is Gaz
"He's not developed enough, there's nothing interesting about him." I have so many headcanons for Gaz It's ridiculous.
He's the world to me, He's pretty, and his actor Elliot Knight is such a nice guy.
He was one of the first ones recruited into 141.
He has an amazing sense of humor, not like Ghost or Johnny's per say but he still gets in a quip hereband there.
He's got a strong bond with Johnny and I see them as a close sibling duo almost. Gaz is a bit more serious than Johnny, and he always keeps his head on and the mission his first priority. When he's joking with Price and Laswell you can hear how sort of annoyed/ but slightly fond he is.
He has an amazing relationship with Price. And even though he's much quieter he's still strong and provoking. He can command when he wants and when he needs.
I headcanon he was a kid who liked to share his ideas in school, but wasn't always encouraged for them. Leading to him being quieter when he became a recruit. He would do things around base without being prompted to to help out, and others would take credit when he couldn't speak up.
He loves to spend his time down in the archives area (there is a thing like that, I don't know if the archives is exactly what its called though), looking through all the files, reading about new soldiers and old soldiers.
He loves history, he wants to know about soldiers everyone talked about and looked up to.
His relationship with Ghost isn't touched on much but Gaz is very proper and devoted, calling him sir and Price Captain at all times. He has a bond with Ghost as his lieutenant and unlike Soap who would backtrack orders to save people, I don't necessarily think Gaz would do that. (Depends on the situation)
He's ready to take orders at the flick of a wrist. And he's a very family oriented man and loves his team more than anything in the world.
Gaz always shows up in my stories and I absolutely love him. I love him so so so much. I could ramble for hours about how much I love Gaz. And even characters like Horangi. I found him originally through Körangi the ship because at the time I didn't have the Warzone game (a whole different ramble)
But I soon fell in love with Horangi just because of how much I love his personality. He's a batshit little tiger with funny voice lines and I absolutely love the man. He's secretive and like the perfect mix of Johnny and Gaz. Serious and calm but also says the most outlandish things that make you laugh every time.
So anyway, this was just my little ramble. It really does make me disappointed when I find a good headcanon scenario I would really like, and Gaz either isn't even there or is replaced by König. Like, I like König too, he's not my absolute favorite character, but why not both of them?? Can't one not replace the other??
Give. Me. More. Gaz
