Danny pinched the bridge of his nose, taking a deep breath, counting to ten and then letting it out. Why was this always his luck? Alright. Okay. Time to move again thanks to Dan pushing his body too far again, and ending up in his core. This was not how he was expecting to spend his days when he ghost-adopted his clone and sort-of son now actual son. Welp, he’ll throw a dart at the map to figure out where he’ll go next.

zoro and luffy got married a while back and never bothered to tell anyone. nami knows because she was there but hasnt told anyone because theyre both insufferable. usopp found out when he saw them makeout in a closet or something on the merry (he shut the door and ran to nami looking for answers). by the time they reach wano almost everyone on the crew knows that theyre married except sanji who found out after zoro and luffy kissed at the celebration party.

Would you guys burn me at the stake if I say that I think Chrysalis is actually a really important insight into Julian's character and his view on his own life and the people around him at the time it takes place. It's an episode that doesn't hold up today cause of the very ableist writing and kind of shitty moral but I think it's necessary that it's there and also occurs at the time it does in the show

I'll have a more insightful analysis on it one day cause I really want to talk about it (I want to make better researched ds9 analyses with actual clips from the show and whatnot instead of just vaguely referencing events from memory that could be completely wrong but unfortunately I do not have the time to be doing all of that. i also think it's fair to say that charles was projecting onto erik a tiny bit during that fight on the jet to paris. when he says that erik took raven from him. when you're watching first class it's sort of very clear to see that charles did his share in pushing raven away throughout the film. especially when she's portrayed to be in this space between acceptance and rejection of her mutation. after erik enters her life around the same time she finds more mutants to bond with, she gets positive reinforcement surrounding her blue skin. when before, she asks charles and he sidesteps the question, and hank outwardly rejects her. she was definitely a kid at the beginning of the film before transitioning into someone who decided she deserved more than to be hated for who she was at the end. and in that process left the person who had raised her but also never seemed to see things the way she did; see her the way raven saw herself. becoming mystique and shedding the name raven was a way to divorce herself from charles' influence but! erik still played his fair part in bringing her over to his side. both charles and erik pushed her away from home and both charles and erik needed to work together to bring her back to her family

herlock sholmes being a genius and creating the first hologram in 1899 is fun and all but you know what. i think that man never employed 100% of his genius brain more than when mikotoba brought iris to 221B and she was subsequently left in his care (and he was freaking the hell out over it). i'm sure mikotoba was like "we need to find a wet nurse sholmes we can't feed a baby" when he first brought her there and sholmes was immediately like No I Got This and then entered the fourth dimension creating god's most perfect baby formula on the floor. he starts panicking over iris potentially getting sick and starts churning out the world's first proper vaccines on his desk (don't question why they glow with various neon colors. They Work). et cetera. he basically (frantically) becomes the leading expert on all things baby. but the thing is the second iris gets old enough for the information to become irrelevant he promptly dumps all of it from his memory because he finally gets that extra space back to use for information more likely to help him in the detective field

So, this will be my attempt at making sense of his powers: Basically, the way "N" acquires their mentioned "mystical powers" is through signing contracts with people, the moment they sign contracts, the contract becomes soul-binding and becomes all-powerful. For example, if "N" wrote something along the lines of the client has to give him all their money, then they have no choice but to do that. This is the reason why "N" makes their contracts so long so that his clients are less likely to see the more negative parts of their deals. HOWEVER, this also works the other way, "N" still has to include things in his contracts that can be used against him, e.g. "N" has to compensate them for stuff they lose during their collaboration. AND if this situation does happen, "N" won't be able to do anything because they are mystically banned from ripping their contracts, the only ones allowed to do this are his clients, or anyone else (and by anyone else, it's usually WordGirl.) - "N" usually works with villains, he rarely works with heroes due to his reputation. - One of his major weaknesses is his clients reading the fine print in full.

Danny would like everyone to know it was a complete accident. Look, normally he was really good at not altering the timeline! He was! 

But the dude was definitely not in the right Time, and he had to get his trust which took so long, like damn he thought he had anxiety. Seriously though, kevlar in the 1700s? Yeah that wasn’t right, and Peepaw always complained about the messes that the speedsters caused, so he was trying to prevent a mess by tugging the dude away and helping him out. 

Falling in love maybe a little, was not in the plan. But honestly the man had a worse sense of self preservation than he did as a teen and was also straight up adorable, in a wet cat  who could kill you sort of way. 

So maybe he helped the dude grab a child that was going to be drowned. It wasn’t like anyone else saw them! Even if similar situations might’ve happened a few different times. 

Still, no one saw them! 

So why is there now a small cult who worships the Shadowed one and Radiant one, aka his companion (who would not give his name save for B, which, fair, probably didn’t want to accidentally wreck the timeline either) and well, him?! At least they worship them as guardians of children, but uh. Should he maybe, perhaps, fix this…?

I was reading back through caged lungs and I realized just how many times Donnie got hit in the head during the last fight and how hard, no wonder Leo is concerned about brain damage.

Also, when Donnie goes to see April at the end of chapter 2, is he just dissociating really hard or is that an actual physical symptom from the…everything really!

not to mention the oxygen deprivation with raph throttling him! the last fight is so visceral and nasty and it was the final nail in the coffin when it came to donnie's issues physically and mentally, because although he would have been terrified of them regardless i dont think it wouldve been "inconsolable screaming heap at the sound of raph's voice" like it was in the early bit of CW.

and id mark that as dissociation personally. the second he registered as being in relative safety he kind of shut down because he wasn't able to process it, which had kind of been a running coping mechanism through the last month or so of CL. MIND YOU: IT IS NOT HELPED ALONG BY THE BRAIN FOG CAUSED BY HIS TIME IN ISOLATION, its a nasty concoction of problems. and also yeah physical exhaustion definitely doesnt help! he ran all the way to april's apartment while actively starving, after all.

although itll get better after [REDACTED PLOT THREAD] is handled, i think dissociation is gonna be something donnie will be dealing with for years, because spending four days in a quiet, enclosed dark space has some extremely messed up consequences for your brain and body. it was also in general something he used to cope under the abuse, so i could see him having issues with it when he's not in his right mind (sick or sleep-deprived, for example), i could see him regressing back to that old mindset when something like that happens. his perception of reality is permanently a little fucked :(
