Hey, do you guys remember when these two were actually compelling characters?
Yeah, neither do I.
Bait is by far the most interesting character of these three and I'm not even joking.
But lets start at the beginning shall we?
Let's start off with Callum, the protagonist.
He is the son of Queen Sarai and step son of King Harrow 🐦 and the big brother of Prince or King Ezran, depends on which part of the show you're on. I guess spoiler if you haven't got past episode 3 where Pip dies and Harrow is forced to eat bird food for the rest of his life. (I have MASSIVE feelings about that "plot twist" but that's a potential post for another day.)
He struggles with the idea of being a prince because he believes he's not good at horse riding and sword fighting, things a prince should be good at.
Ignore the horse, Bait is the one clearly in charge, Callum doesn't know what he's doing.
All (kind of) jokes aside, he was dorky without being too annoying and him getting the Sky Primal Stone which in turn allowed him to use Sky magic which made him feel like he was for once good at something was interesting to watch, especially after he had to smash it to hatch a dying Zym and learn the Sky Arcanum through other means. A good well rounded character.
Then we have Rayla, who used to be one of my favourite characters.
Not anymore.
She was originally so snarky, sassy and feisty but in such a fascinating kind of way. She also had a kind and gentle heart and would do anything to help those in need. Plus, she had the inner struggle of being an assassin who cannot kill but that didn't really matter because she used her skills for the greater good anyway.
Its a shame her first and only kill in the show came in the form of herself.
Character assassination at its finest.
How did Rayla go from this:
To this:
Best Dragonguard of the century guys 👏
From a girl who would do anything to help others in need, even a dragon that would torch tons of innocent people to legit turning her back on a dragon in distress. This is not Rayla.
But how did it come to this you may ask? Well curious Tumblr reader, I have one simple answer. One simple answer that will burn so much of The Dragon Prince's fandom down and will cause an all out riot but let me just tell you, I'm speaking nothing but the truth.
The answer is:
Rayllum
Yep! Them becoming a duo literally murdered their characters and I still o7 them to this day 🫡
What was once two interesting characters who found solace in each other and set off together (and Ezran was there as the third wheel) to stop a war spanning centuries became a poorly written soap opera.
So where did it go wrong?
I'm gonna sound like a broken record in saying SEASON 4 📢 HAHA!
But no, not season 4, it was actually before that.
It starts with Rayla leaving Callum the nicest birthday present anyone could give someone - ghosting them.
Now you'd think that Rayla would at least wait a day or two after Callum's birthday so he can have an enjoyable day first but nope! She decides to dip on whats supposed to be a happy day for him and make it miserable. What a woman! 👏
Now you could be saying to me, "But she needed to go with full urgency!" To which, no she did not. She went because it was a mission of revenge, something she LITERALLY said herself so she could have waited a few days but she chose instead to make someone she's supposed to love miserable on a day of happiness.
But okay, she dips and leaves Callum sad and miserable on his birthday. Surely when she returns, she apologizes right?
...Right?
I don't think arc 2 Rayla would understand the word sorry if it bit her right up where the Moon don't shine.
Anyways, its two years later (Yes, you heard me, two years) and Rayla decides to finally unghost Callum.
Now, Callum is understandably upset with Rayla after taking off on his birthday and leaving without saying goodbye. So whats Rayla's stance on this? Is she understanding?
Of course not, this is arc 2 Rayla we're talking about.
Imagine letting the guy she let down have some room to sort things out in his head. Crazy right?
But anyway, he eventually relents to Rayla because she won't shut up in typical Rayla fashion and they both snooze on the couch.
This kind of soap opera drama goes on for THE ENTIRE SEASON while they just gradually "make up" and its just such contrived conflict. Especially as nothing came of Rayla leaving for those two years and it happened off screen.
Plus, her not taking accountability for her actions is a big deal.
Sadly the writers did it with this ship. ^
I love Red Herring story lines that are spent so much time on and are SUPER built up only to have literally no impact on the plot whatsoever. 🤗
Loved wasting my time on the Dark Magic Callum story line.
BUT HEY, he did get some great looking tooth-paste in his hair! 🪥 Looks great on you Callum. 🤥
Now however, I must talk about the most beloved of all seasons and no, I don't mean season 6 or 3.
Clearly I'm referring to season 7, aka, facing sucking the season.
Like seriously, if I ate a Moonberry Surprise every time Callum and Rayla snogged, I'd end up needing medical attention.
That's not the offender I'm talking about though. It's Rayla's super selfishness and Callum choosing her over his grieving brother.
Somehow, the writer's thought that was okay.
Remember, this is the same girl who left him for 2 whole years to put her need of revenge before his feelings.
Callum betrayed his brother for her.
But it's not even just that, it's just the selfish nature of Rayla in season 7. Ezran has just had Katolis burnt to a crisp, and all she can think about is herself and her own needs. Ezran's feelings? They don't matter. As long as she's happy, that's fine.
I don't even want to talk about them all buddying up in the Silvergrove happily while Ezran is still dealing with Katolis' fallout.
Plus remember, at this point, Callum still believes that Runaan killed Harrow. I get forgiving someone but bro is literally choosing the guy who assassinated the guy who raised him over his grieving brother. It's actual insanity to me.
There is much more I have missed but I have reached my Rayllum limit for the day. This ship is as fun as watching paint dry so I want to do something that is going to actually bring me joy.
Have a good day everyone! Peace! 🫡

Fuck people who don't fucking read posted signage and then do stupid shit. Especially when people are told repeatedly about it, and the sign (s) have been up for well over a month.
So, I work at a chain restaurant that sells coffee, breakfast, and donuts. And on New Year's, we opened at 6 am.
Tell me why people are trying to get in and trying to go through the drive thru at 5:11, about 11 minutes after I walk in the store to open? The lights weren't even on. There was no, absolutely zero, indication that we were open. Like, none. No lights. Music was off. It looked like a ghost town, with the exceptions of me and my baker. I still don't get what about any of that said that we were open.
Besides, I can't do anything until the exact opening time anyway. Especially if the store isn't ready to open. Plus, our systems are locked from making a sale outside of business hours. I couldn't if I wanted too.
I had a woman, a regular, even, come through the drive thru at like, 5:30. I tell her we don't open until 6. I have to tell the lady behind her the same thing. She comes back through at about a minute and a half before the store opens. Both store and company policy state that I cannot have her sit in the drive thru, because my drive times, which the head office is obsessed with, will go up if she just sits there. And I have been instructed to prevent that.
So, I tell her that we're still not open, and she goes "We'll, you got a minute." I told her that I still couldn't help her until we opened, and that I also couldn't have her sit in the drive thru to wait out that minute.
Is it stupid? Yes, but it's what corporate wants.
So, she's just like "Fine. I'll just go elsewhere." And I really just wanted to roll my eyes and tell her to go fuck herself.
And, because of the holidays, we no longer accept anything over a $20. Too many counterfeit bills, and corporate has even told us we can't accept them. And I understand that people are gonna get upset when they whip out a $50 or $100 for an order, but I'm not getting fired over people not wanting to pay with card or smaller bills.
I had a guy literally go "you HAVE to accept this. It's legal tender." about a $50. No sir, we do not. We have posted signage, AND, you have not yet received goods, as you are attempting to make a purchase. We don't owe you anything until it's paid for. And we don't accept anything larger than a $20, so your $50 is no good here. No, we will not make an exception. No, we don't have to accept it just because it's legal tender. State and federal law do not require me to take it, as it is considered an offer of payment, not a payment of debt owed.
It's like, has the fuckin common sense left these people? Or do they walk into the store that fucking stupid?
Oh, and what is it with third party delivery drivers just casually reaching behind the counter's set up for delivery and walk in mobile orders, to the little staging area behind, and just taking shit? Especially when there's nothing on the shelf? Like, no, there is a reason it's behind the little shelf for it. It's because it's not ready yet. And then, we get an angry customer call asking why part of their food is missing.
I remember one guy practically yelled at me over the phone for like, 5 or so minutes, and I just calmly asked if he was finished so that I could explain. I then told him that his driver took his unfinished order, even after being told it wasn't ready yet, and that we apologize for him not getting everything, but the driver had been told and refused to listen.
Thankfully, the guy understood, but geez. And of course, I sadly have so many more stories that I wish I didn't have.

Going Away For A While
Jungkook/Reader (part of the slice of life au)
Summary: It's time for Jungkook to complete his mandatory military service, now you just have to tell your young daughter.
Warnings: established relationship, fem!reader, children, crying, illusion to sex, idol!au
Word Count: 818 M.list
‘You remember what we talked about a few months ago baby?’
The time had finally come fore Jungkook to start his military service. The two of you had briefly broached the subject with So-Hee a few times, but never fully explained the concept.
Now that Jungkook would be leaving in the next few months, you couldn’t put off the conversation any longer.
The two of you sat the 4 year old down at the kitchen table, and she knew right away that something was wrong.
‘Am I in trouble mommy?’ She looked up at you with big sad eyes.
‘No! Not at all!’ You scooted your chair closer to hers and stroked the back of her head, as you looked to Jungkook for help.
‘You remember we spoke about me leaving for a while?’ He leaned forwards on the table so he could see So-Hee’s face. She nodded, still confused.
‘Well that’s happening in a few months.’ Your heart shattered as her little face scrunched up. It wasn’t dissimilar to your own reaction when he first told you he would be gone by the end of the year.
‘Ah So-Hee, please don’t cry!’ Jungkook had now also shuffled forwards so he could scoop the little girl up into his arms and sit her on his lap, though this seemed to upset her more.
Jungkook cradled the small girl in his arms as she clung to him for dear life.
‘A-are you going away forever?’ So-Hee sniffled, wiping her eyes as she looked at her father.
You and Jungkook let out forced laughs, but you knew it was important to be honest with her.
‘He’ll be gone for just over a year.’ You spoke gently and ghosted your hand over her back. ‘But you’ll be able to see and speak to him often.’ You quickly added, once she began to cry again.
‘You promise?’ She looked over her shoulder at you, bottom lip protruding.
‘Of course baby!’
‘Everyday if you want!’ Jungkook added, pulling back her attention. ‘I’ll face time you every night!’
After sitting down and explaining, So-Hee seemed to feel a lot better about the situation. She understood that her father would be gone for a while, but she’d still have regular contact with him, even see him when he had time off.
A few weeks before Jungkook was due to leave, it was time to shave his head, much to So-Hee’s delight.
‘Let me do some!’ She squealed with laughter, practically jumping up and down as she looked at Jungkook’s half shaved head.
‘I don’t think that’s a good idea.’ You chuckled, holding up the clippers to continue.
‘Let her try. It’s not like it’s gonna matter if it’s uneven.’ Jungkook laughed with a shake of his head.
‘Ok... If you insist.’ You picked So-Hee up and helped her hold the clippers.
‘Now we have to be careful ok?’ She nodded eagerly and couldn’t stop the gleeful laughter escaping her mouth, as the hair fell to the floor.
‘Sure you don’t want to be a hairdresser So-Hee?’ Jungkook joked as you set the girl down. So-Hee stopped her happy jumping for a moment to think, before breaking out into a massive grin.
‘I’ll be a hairdresser AND a singer, so I can still be like you daddy!’ She boldly claimed before running off, leaving the two of you dejected as you watched after her.

‘You suit this. Still super handsome.’ You smiled as you leaned over Jungkook in bed, stroking your fingers over his freshly shaven head.
The two of you had managed to have some alone time after So-Hee had fallen asleep, a luxury you didn’t get to enjoy often these days.
‘Good to know.’ He smirked up at you as he snaked his arm round your waist and pulled you down to lay on top of him.
You lay there for a few moments in comfortable silence, cuddled up naked against one another.
‘I can’t believe this has come round so soon...’ You whispered, tracing patters on his chest.
‘I’ll be back before you know it.’ His fingers ghosted over your shoulder. ‘And it wasn’t a lie. We can talk regularly.’
‘I know. Still doesn’t change the fact that I’ll miss you.’ You trailed off, not wanting to get upset.
‘Hey don’t cry! You’ll make me cry!’ He tapped your shoulder and sat up slightly with a laugh.
‘Ok. I’m ok.’ You also sat up laughing, and wiped underneath your eyes. Jungkook couldn’t resist reaching up and squeezing one of your breasts when you sat up.
‘Hey!’ You batted his hand away playfully as you got up and slipped on your night shirt. You went to leave before stopping in the doorway and turning round to face him.
‘Good luck with the blue balls whilst you’re away!’ You giggled before running to the bathroom, hearing Jungkook let out an exasperated groan behind you.

@lg-wifey4lifey encouraged me to post the idea I sent them of The Room inspired Clexa AU so here's the 2k word vomit
Lexa and Clarke are young, early 20s. Clarke got Lexa pregnant accidentally but they worked their ass off to buy a house with the help of Clarke's parents, all ready for their baby. They should be around 21.
Lexa is about 4 months along when she's kidnapped and basically considered dead because kidnapping a pregnant woman is usually not to keep her around. Clarke never gives up hope nor does she move, she continues living in their house with the nursery ready and everything the same, even decorating how she knew Lexa would like it.
In the mean time, 7 years pass. Lexa has given birth to little Aden while being kept in a room. Due to rape she has also now given birth to a little girl, Madi, about 3 years old. She has a necklace with Clarke's picture and she always told both kids that was their mama even Madi.
Madi manages to escape one day with Lexa's help, her necklace around her neck and she tells her to find someone and tell them she's looking for her mama and her name and where Lexa and Aden are. Its a big ask for a 3 year old who knows nothing of the outside world but even if they cant find it at least Madi will be free.
Clarke gets a call. The police know her well. She comes to the police station heart bearing faster and they tell her they have a 3 year old girl saying she is her kid. Clarke's confused. They were expecting a little boy and he would be 6 now not 3.
But the moment Madi sees her she runs to her crying and calling her mama. Madelyn was the name they were gonna use if they had a girl. She looks so much like Lexa. And the necklace is the one Clarke gave her when they celebrated 1 year of dating. Madi has not yet said anything, not until she's in Clarke's arms does tell where mommy and Aden are.
Clarke waits with Madi on her lap inside the police car. She doesn't know if the piece of shit who kidnapped Lexa and her son didn't get rid of them in the 2 days it took to find this place. She knows Madi is his bio child, but to Clarke, she is already hers.
They bring him out in handcuffs first and Clarke wants to go and punch him and kill him but then there's noise.
Madi is letting go of her hand and running towards Lexa screaming mommy.
Clarke is frozen in place.
She's so much thinner now, Clarke's last memory of her being of her bump already showing Her eyes are red and her face puffy from crying. But she is still her Lexa. And on her hip is a little boy. So small for age 6, curled to his mom's side. He is the spitting image of Clarke.
And then he turns and sees her. Immediately his eyes grow big, able to set himself free as Lexa holds Madi and praises her for how good she did for setting them free.
He runs to her screaming mama and Clarke opens and arms to catch him. Oh how many times did she dream how he looked like and now he is finally in her arms. Madi pulls Lexa's hand excited, walking her towards Clarke.
"I found mama! She helped me like you said mommy!"
Lexa has tried hard not to cry in front of the kids, waiting for them to fall asleep to break down.
The thought of never seeing her little girl again if she couldn't manage to get them broke her heart even more than it already had been broken before.
She heard screams of police.
And then she heard the commotion outside.
And then a silence came. She knew the walls were sound proof and still she screamed that she was here, to please not leave without her and her son, please.
It has taken 20 minutes of her screaming for them to find her and Aden. But they did.
And now she was staring at Clarke holding their son finally, looking at her like she is seeing a ghost and a miracle all in one. And then Lexa just breaks down crying and throws herself at Clarke, who catches her, crying just the same.
Aden seem confused about it as if this should be a happy time of laughing and smiles while Madi is upset by the crying, wondering if it means something is wrong.
The three of them are taken to the hospital.
Lexa sleeps for 3 days. They confirm everything Clarke already new. Sexual abuse - in some twisted way Clarke is thankful Lexa was the only one of the three that suffered through that, although she knows Lexa would have murdered before she let anyone touch her children.
Starved and malnourished.
Two natural births, somehow both as healthy as they could be much like the 2 babies. Despite the lack of sunlight and lack of some vitamins the kids are healthy considering everything.
Lexa feared Clarke would reject Madi. Fuck, when she was pregnant with her Lexa wondered how she was going to look at her baby knowing it was his. But then she wakes up. There are hushed noises in the hospital room. Its dark, only a bit of sunlight coming through. On the floor there are toys, some Lexa still recognizes bought by her and Clarke when they found out about Aden.
Aden is next to Clarke playing happily and silently, seeming happy to just be close to his mom. Madi sits in Clarke's lap chatting away as Clarke smiles to them both, treating Madi as her own and referring to herself as mama when talking to her.
Lexa's recovery is not easy. But after two weeks, they allow her to go home.
Seems strange to even enter the car. Its a new one, try as they might they hadn't been able to buy a new one back then, settling for Lexa's old car.
Now, Clarke has a van and Lexa is shocked to see the two seats for her kids already installed, the look of pride in Clarke's face.
They have mot spoken much. Clarke has not kissed her yet, but she has kissed her forehead and held her hand, told her over and over again she loved her and missed her terribly but refused to lose hope.
Lexa loves her so much still. But being touched and loved seems foreign to Lexa now. And Clarke respects it, making Lexa's heart desire to kiss her more despite what her brain tells her due to trauma. The house is the same. It feels strange. Some things have changed but it still looks the exact same.
Lexa's jacket is still at the entrance alongside her shoes as if she has always been there. Her book, half read 7 years ago, still remains on the coffee table by the seat she used to take. There was no dust on it. Clarke kept it there on purpose, unable to put it away. She squeezes Clarke's hand seeing it all, a silent thank you for not forgetting her.
Clarke looks down. "It pained me too much to erase anything from you in the house. So i kept it where it was, so you'd have an easier time finding it when you came back."
The decorations on the nursery were still the same, everything ready for a baby that is now 6 years old. His name painted on the walls. He enters it as if it was a world meant for him. Madi on Lexa's hip looks around, as if trying to find where the little space made for her was. Clarke walks in behind them, pointing to the crib that has been turned into a toddler bed.
"I thought Madi could sleep on crib like that. I still have that inflatable mattress in the attic. I was thinking of bringing it down so you and Aden can sleep for a few days. I have a bed coming but it should take a few days still."
Aden looks at her smiling, already looking at the plushie with his name on it.
Little Madi looks about to cry, seeing how everything in the room is for her brother.
Lexa wants to hush her, almost embarrassed. Madi is not Clarke's child, she has no obligation to care for her.
"I know the room as nothing for you yet Madi." Clarke admits talking directly to the teary little girl.
"Clarke you don't have to-"
Clarke smiles at her and shakes her head "do you see that little chest?" Clarke points to the chest next to the crib "go and open it. There's a little treasure for you inside."
Madi looks at her with shinny yet suspicious eyes. Lexa settles her on the floor and Madi walks to hit carefully.
When she opens it, a squeal leaves her.
"MOMMY SO MANY BUTTERFLY!"
Lexa stares at Clarke in shock. Butterflies would fly by the skylight and Madi had always been obsessed with them. But Lexa had not told Clarke that.
"I sat down with Aden the other day and he told me everything his little sister liked. He helped me pick her clothes and toys and decorations"
Aden smiles big at his mom before running to help his sister look through her new things.
Lexa feels her heart bearing faster as she looks at Clarke.
As the kids look at the toys, Lexa closes the space between her and Clarke, kissing her softly. Clarke does not keep her longer than Lexa wishes to, even if her heart wants to hold Lexa against her lips forever.
Clarke shrugs with a smile, "i want to make sure our little girl feels loved too."
Lexa sleeps with Aden and Madi for 4 months. Clarke will lay down with them too but once the kids are down she kisses Lexa's cheeks and goes to her (their) room. Lexa had barely walked inside their old shared room since she arrived. Clarke hadn't pushed either. The only time Lexa walked in was to get a change of clothes - ones she was finally filling up again - or to look for an old cream (ones that should have expired by now but that Lexa realized had been bought again. Clarke never cared for skin care and yet she went through her creams and made sure to buy newer ones)
And one night the kids are happily asleep. Aden now has his bed, still sleeping in the same room has Madi.
They have started decorating the room next to Aden's into Madi's room, once they were ready to sleep alone.
Lexa still sleeps on the mattress. But she wakes up and sees the kids both sound asleep. She no longer has to worry about that man entering their room in the middle of the night. Her stomach no longer groans at the lack of food. Her kids have pjs and sheets and a plushie to cuddle with. Therapy as been good for them too.
So, she gets up slowly and quietly.
Clarke's room door is slightly ajar, so she can easily hear is something is wrong with the three of them.
Lexa opens the door slowly, scared to interrupt something. Inside Clarke is simply scrolling on her phone.
"Clarke?"
Clarke nearly jumps but is immediately alert, "Hey! Is everything okay?"
Lexa nods and barely says anything else. Instead she walks to the bed - her side of the bed - pulls the covers and lays down.
Clarke stares at her with a beating heart, phone on her bed side table. Lexa realizes there's a nanny cam on her own bedside table, a wave of relief washing over her when she realizes she can see her kids from here. It also hits her why Clarke always knew to come in when both kids were crying too much for Lexa to handle alone or how when Madi hit her head on the bed frame Clarke immediately came in with ice. Yet she never overstepped when Lexa didn't need her.
They stare at one another in bed for a second before Lexa starts to laugh, Clarke looking at her strangely but smiling at hearing her laugh.
"Whats so funny?"
"We made a baby together. We were almost engaged. And suddenly it feels like i am sharing a life with a crush i can barely talk to without blushing."
Clarke does not know what to say. Instead she brushes Lexa's cheek. Lexa closes her eyes at the feeling, getting closer to Clarke until her head is above her chest. Clarke wraps her arms around her, feeling a wave of relief wash over her.
"We can build that relationship back up you know."
Lexa nods lifting her head. A small peck on Clarke's lips before she wishes her a good night. It becomes ritual for Lexa to go to their room after the kids are asleep for a while. And then as soon as they fall asleep.
One night, Lexa does not go to the kids' room. When neither kid cries for her as she watches them on the nanny cam, she lays down with Clarke, snuggling into her as she did 7 years before.

Timeskip Kryk part 2! (Sorta?)
Here's some kryk hc's/random scenarios i have if they didn't make a move in highschool and remained pining idiots :)
One thing for sure, I think they would both know that there was something there, but ofc they never talked about it. Especially bc Yaku was going to Russia. Since they didn't do anything about their feelings earlier they both tried sweeping it under the rug and act like it never happened. And ofc that pining never really goes away, but the distance sorta helps. (Not really they miss each other so much)
Kuroo is going in as an intern for the Japan Volleyball Association and sends a photo of him in his new suit and asking if he looks okay for his first day. Yaku leaves it on seen. Kuroo dies inside bc does he actually look that bad?? It makes him panic alittle, although in the end he does very well on his first day, but he's still butt hurt by Yaku's lack of response. Only until the day after does Yaku respond "You look good" and "Sorry. I was busy". This makes Kuroo get mad but also ashamed at how happy it made him feel for Yaku complimenting him.
On the otherhand, Yaku cannot stop freaking out at how fucking good Kuroo looked in that suit. After a good 10 minutes of just gawking at a poorly taken selfie of his "I'm getting over him" crush, Yaku decides his heart cannot handle this today so he makes the hard choice of ghosting Kuroo so that he doesn't accidentally blurt how hot he thinks Kuroo looks. He feels bad but it was a necessary sacrifice to save himself from falling for him all over again. Although it's too late for that bc that image was ingrained into his mind all day.
Kuroo tries not to, but he stalks Yaku's insta page for "Volleyball Research purposes". Kai tries to remind him "You know that's your friend right? You can literally just ask him how he's doing instead of stalking his story to see if he's eaten dinner yet".
Kai, Kuroo, and Yaku are facetiming and Yaku mentions that his hair is getting long. Kuroo asks if he's gonna get a haircut, but deep down he's crying bc yaku looks so cute with his shaggy bangs, please don't chop them. A week later, Yaku posts on his story his new undercut and re-styled bangs that are swept back in the same way that Kuroo is swept off his feet the moment he sees them. Kuroo realizes it might be too late to get over his best friend bc how is he supposed to when this best friend looks THAT GOOD. He screenshots the photo and has failed many times to delete it.
Kuroo sends treats and trinkets from Japan to Yaku on his birthday, which makes Yaku super happy but also super homesick. And it also makes him feel a bit bad bc he only facetimed for Kuroo's birthday. He tells Kuroo he'll send a gift for the next birthday and Kuroo says he doesn't have to, but he does anyways. So now for every birthday for the past 8 years, they've been doing gift exhanges from Japan and Russia. Yaku likes to send treats he enjoys or thinks Kuroo would like, or he'll send something he hasn't tried yet so that they can both try it and review it together over facetime.
One weekend for a business trip, Kuroo meets a very pretty lady who matches what his type in women was when he was younger. She was interested in him and he thought why not, I'm a grown man I can go on dates. The entire time he was expecting it to go wrong or for her to disagree with him, yet none of that happened. The date actually went smooth, she even shared some interests with him. He was sure that she was exactly the kind of person that he would've wanted as a partner a few years ago. But after he walked her to the train station and wished her a safe trip, he immediately called Yaku on impulse. He told him how he went on a date, which Yaku responded asking how it went. Kuroo tells him it went absolutely smooth and that she seems to really likes him. And when Yaku asks "Do you like her?" Kuroo hesitates, "I think I do?". But he wasn't sure how to answer when Yaku says, "Then why do you sound so upset?". After a while in silence, Kuroo just sighs, "I guess we just got along too well. The entire night I suppose I was searching for something else. Something more." They end the call soon afterwards, in attempt to try not to let the implications of those words sink in.
Yaku flies down to Tokyo to visit family for a few days. Kuroo tries not to freak out. He hasn't seen Yaku in 3 years but it feels like its been a decade. He knew about Yaku's departure 3 weeks in advance, so he planned accordingly to find time to hang out with him, but nothing could've prepared him for all of a sudden 4 big meetings back to back all during the week Yaku would be staying, with one of the meetings, if his presentation went well, potentially granting him a promotion. Even then, he seriously considers calling in sick. Yaku tells him over the phone that he's an absolute idiot and he should not risk a promotion for this. He ends up not being able to see Yaku at all, bummed that he didn't even have the time to take Yaku to the airport. Although based on the photo taken from a lunch that Yaku and Kai had bc they were actually able to meet up, Kuroo thinks that maybe it's a blessing in disguise that he didn't see Yaku in person. Bc now he's certain that he would've folded right then. Bc if Yaku looked that good with udon broth all over his lips in a photo, then Kuroo might just die if he sees Yaku in front of him.
Yaku is at a bar celebrating with some of his teammates when Kuroo calls Yaku to wish him a merry Christmas. Yaku steps out the bar and they talk about nostalgic memories, which gets Yaku teary eyed and he's glad they're not facetiming rn bc one, Kuroo can't see how much of a sap he is rn, and two, if he sees Kuroo's face he might actually bawl. When Kuroo wishes him goodnight, Yaku enters the bar with his heart too full that it might just explode. He tries to stay cheery and hang with his teammates, but at some point he had a bit too much to drink, and he just begins crying. His teammates are shocked and keep asking him what's wrong, but then Yaku sobs, they don't know what to do because he's only speaking in Japanese. The day afterwards, Yaku wakes up with a horrible hangover with no recollection of his sob session at the bar. It's only until years later that its brought up again. It was when Kuroo visits Russia for the first time, Yaku introduces him to some of his teammates, with one of them giving Kuroo a confused look that Kuroo quotes as "a life threatening mafia glare" and "He looks like he wants to skin me". It's only until a few days later when Kuroo has returned to Japan and they are all having lunch where the teammate begins laughing and says Kuroo's name as if he had a revelation. This makes Yaku absolutely confused so he asks whats so funny. His teammate pulls out his phone and presses play on a recorded video and laughs "We never understood what you were saying, but I remember I kept hearing you cry 'Kuroo'. It's only now that I realized what 'Kuroo' meant." Yaku is mortified at the video of him sobbing, and his teammates begin poking at him to translate for them but Yaku only blushes so hard at his own cries in the video. He hopes that Kuroo will never see this video, otherwise it'd be the equivalent of Yaku professing his undying love and how much he is NOT over his highschool crush. Luckily, his teammates can't understand a word he is saying and unfortunately, he can't reach the phone from their hand in the air when he tries to delete the video due to their almost 2 ft height difference.
#kuroyaku#kryk#yaku morisuke#kuroo tetsurou#haikyuu#hc's#well sorta hc's bc idk if these even count bc theyre si long and overly detailed but i digress#they're not all in order#i decided not to add the reunion for when Yaku returns in canon bc im pretty sure that one's self explanatory#basically kryk never having the “what are we?” conversation#theyre super stupid

Favourite supernatural ship/s
thanks for the ask anon<3
samjess is my favourite I guess. it's tragic and sad and beautiful. It always makes me upset and I end up in a puddle of tears. It hurts my brain and heart. It's like a stabbing pain in the gut. what gets me is that even after such a long time, sam could never actually let go of jessica I think. I mean what am I supposed to feel after the i still think about jessica. he was shopping for rings, and he proposed to a ghost, to his past. a nice sweet normal figment of his life, that he held on to for a while until tragedy struck. sam probably doesn't even have any photos of jessica, they were all burnt in the fire. he probably had that voicemail that she sent when he went with dean to hunt the woman in white. which probably got deleted when they had to switch phones or simcards cuz of their shitty lifestyle. she's only a memory to him...fuck
sastiel cuz I love their autistic swag. of course there are moments that make me mad like cas breaking sam's wall but cas also took sam's pain. sam and castiel are so soft and tender with each other. I just know the sex would've been a galaxy brain moment.
samruby because they're toxic af but they truly loved each other at some point. they would've worshipped each other I think. it's bout the roles and the dynamics, there's also a lot of manipulation and betrayal going on and that adds to the more complex elements regarding the pairing. also the soft tender way ruby tries to cajole sam into believing that what he did was right scratches at my brain because she too sacrificed a lot to be the one who catalysed the whole thing. they could've ruled hell together. and their whole sex scene is like two lesbians fucking each other.
deanlisa because dean had a bit of normalcy and a cute son. dean and lisa made a cute pairing I think. he got to be a dad for a little while I guess. It's sad and tragic cuz when cas wiped Lisa and Ben's memories, it really hurt. Like you build this little family and they gave you something to hold on to for a while when you missed your brother and then have all of that taken away from you PERMANENTLY. that shit is sad af.
sambrady because I KNOW WHAT THEY HAD GOING ON. demon lover brady my beloved. I know they fucked. cuz brady is a demon and he died.
samsarah. they are so cute. and honestly out of all the partners sam had in the show I think sarah blake would have been perfect for sam imo. she wanted to help them during the hunt. she's a tough girl. they kiss for the first and the last time and she hopes that sam would visit again. she keeps waiting and waiting and waiting, days turn into weeks, weeks into months, months into years and then one day she gets married has a kid and that tall floofy haired boy with the puppy dog eyes turns up at her doorstep. she has moved on obviously but at what cost? she died cuz of the very man she waited for so long. and oh sammy. the only reason why he didn't go back was that he knew it was dangerous for her. later he had to go to her to save her but again at what cost? sarah still died and she had a husband and a kid...
wincest. do I need to even say anything? I mean where do I even start? It's not like I want them to fuck each other but it's the codependency. there's a lot going on with these two that can't be seen with the naked eyes. it's the subtext, the yearning, the longing looks, the roles...how dean can't function without sam, he's afraid to be alone, how sam loses it when dean is gone, the need to be the no. 1 person on their priority list, and the fact that they're canonical soulmates. yeah they're weird and that's what I like about it. sam and dean winchester are psychotically, irrationally, erotically codependent on each other.
sammadison how could I not mention this one. THIS IS MY FAVOURITE AS WELL. I mean it's so fucking tragic. like you think you saved the girl but for what? it didn't work and it's gonna happen again and there's no cure and you two share these tender moments of intimacy thinking everything's gonna be okay only to be met with the opposite. you gave her hope and now it's being taken away..it's never gonna be okay and she asks you to kill her. whatthefuck. now you slowly see yourself in her, what if I become a monster and there's no way back and what if someone I love so much has to put me down like a sick dog. GOSH. I cried while watching that episode.
I also like samwena and saileen and megstiel but I haven't watched the later seasons that well so can't say much.
#asks#spn#wincest#sastiel#samjess#sambrady#sam x ruby#sam x sarah#sam x dean#sam x castiel#sam x brady#sam x jess#sam x madison#dean x lisa#most of them are sam ships cuz all of his partners die and i am a samgirl💅

This is another post of my rotting fic ideas that will never become fics, I didn't go over this. Enjoy.
Fic idea for modern AU for urzai
Ozai walks in to see iroh on top of ursa (ursa fell and took iroh down with her 🥲) he obviously thinks they were cheating and storms out after yelling, with ursa running after him.
Ursa, her voice cracking: im not lying! Babe, listen, please!
Ozai, rolling his eyes: You think I'm that dumb? You know this isn't the first time I've caught you two like that.
Ozai tells ursa that he is moving out, but he's not gonna get a divorce because his father does approve of them. Ursa had a breakdown and threw up after he left because she really does love him even though their marriage was arranged. Ursa avoids iroh and ozai for a while, but the only problem with that is that they all work at the same company. But iroh will be leaving soon, and ozai will be taking his place as CEO. Ursa has been throwing up a lot, so she takes off and goes to the doctor (she was happy to get away from the awkwardness at her job. The people who work with her have been awkward around her because they are scared of ozai. She finds out that she is pregnant, and she gets the ultrasound and pregnancy test and then goes to their job, almost everyone has already left but ozai works late every day because who does he need to go home too see and he can relax later. Ursa goes into his office to find him. He isn't in there, so she wants.
He walks in and is confused as to why she is there. She avoids the question, he sits at his desk and she is already sitting in the chair in front of the desk so she moves the chair right beside him and he isn't to happy happy about that. He tells her to leave so he can finish
Ozai: Ursa. Leave.
Ursa: No.
Ozai: What do you want then?
Ursa avoids the question multiple times and asks about other stuff, then right before she is about to tell him, he gets a call from iroh (Ursa asked ozai who it was because his contact name for iroh is *insert a bunch of cuss words*). They sat in silence as he let the phone ring, he is in a bad mood now and harshly asked Ursa what she wanted before he kicked her out. She puts the pregnancy test and ultrasound out of her bag and puts it on the table in front of them.
Ozai: ...............are these yours?
Ursa: Yes...
Ozai: y-you a-and him.... *he looks like he has seen a ghost*
Ozai gets up and throws up in the trash can
Ursa: Ozai!!
Ursa gets him some tea and makes him go wash up. She tells him that the baby is not iroh's and it was his. He didn't believe her, but he chose to pretend to believe her because he refused to think about the other option. Ozai starts to come over to their older house a lot more to help her. Ursa is father a long in her pregnancy about 4 and a 1/2 months, and their relationship is a lot better. They started planning their baby shower/gender reveal (It is dragon themed), and the subject of inviting iroh comes up. It's really awkward and tense, but ozai says he can come.
The gaang's parents and the iroh's devils are all at the baby shower this way thier baby shower and then they would have a big fancy one for all of the rich important people they had to impress. Ursa tells kya about everything that has happened. Kya is in absolute in shock she is mad at ozai for how he treated Ursa, but then she also understands why he reacted that way and he had a right to.
Kya: im not gonna take sides
Ursa: We are a lot better now. You don't have to take sides. I still love him
Ursa sees Ozai and Iroh talking she follows Ozai after he storms off, and she finds Ozai smoking. She is upset because he had a problem with smoking and he was almost a year clean. Ozai tells her that it's not a problem this time and he is fine (lies). Ursa tells him that she is worried but doesn't push him.
And that's all I came up with, sorry

Shinobu stomped through the murky streets of Tokyo, a more rundown area, her steps were muffled by the sound of heavy rainfall, and the chaos it caused felt pretty accurate to how she felt... shivering, cold, half dressed... she didn't even put on her socks, she wore no overcoat, and her shorts were stained... none of that mattered at the dead of night, because she rushed out full of concern and terror due to a phone call she received.
[Don't eat any junk food in the next few weeks, they'll be poisoned.] Was the gist of what Kyoko had told her.
She sounded... scary, assured in a way that she never heard before, it sounded empty, violent, and malicious, a venom dripping from her vocal chords, and if she had to guess why... it'd probably be the fact Kyoko alone attended three funerals, all of them Shinobu opted not to show up to.
Up until now she didn't really... think about how they haven't really hung out in almost a year, maybe even more? And how, while she had Shiranui, Makigumo, and recently Yababa for support, Kyoko had no one, she was left completely alone to mourn three of her friends, and probably felt abandoned as she did.
Shinobu grimaced as she entered the club, it was closed, but not locked, the music was on, but the chatter and ambience was... added ontop, artificially, to simulate activity where there was none, it was eery to say the least...
No one was around, so she had to find Kyoko the scary way… waddling nervously through the ghost club, defenseless as can be, she went into the counter and to the kitchen, empty as well… but full of prepared dishes, and on the island? A suitcase of vials… different poisons, made anonymously… Shinobu snapped a picture on her cellphone and saved it to the cloud… she probably could ask Miyabi and Makigumo to look further into it.
She closed the suitcase and left the kitchen, going to the only other place Kyoko could likely be…
Climbing stair after stair heading towards the manager’s office, Shinobu heard a familiar tune coming muffled through the closed door… an old song, belonging to Happy Around, from the last idol competition they participated in… they won, Peaky P-Key lost, but it was a wonderful time all around, and Kyoko listening to it reinforced her failure as a friend, making her know all the more she’s at fault for Kyoko’s state.
Slowly opening the door, she saw Kyoko sat on her chair, blankly rewatching the last performance of the band that was now all but deceased.
Kyoko didn’t notice Shinobu, and so the pinkette cleared her throat, to which she was met almost immediately after with the barrel of a pistol aimed right at her by the Brunette, staring blankly still.
Shinobu raised her hand, eyes widening in a panic as she fought to stay calm with her friend pointing a deadly weapon at her… and after a moment she spoke. “K-Kyoko… I saw the poisons, the vials…” She said, voice shaky and afraid.
“Pretty great, aren’t they? I figured out the dosage finally, gonna make sure everyone’s fat and happy by the time I’m done.” A grin appeared on her face, the same friendly and relaxed grin she often had, twisted and warped by the horrific situation.
“Y-you’re… w-what the fuck? Why? W-why are you fattening people up? W-why are you POISONING them?” Shinobu couldn’t help but question, she was confused, scared, worried and upset all at one… and without lowering the gun, Kyoko explained, very willingly… seemed like she was itching to share her plan even.
“Think about it, Rei, Rinku and Muni, what do they have in common? They all ate themselves to death, when you think about it, it’s pretty obvious why, ain’t it? They got tired of being thin for approval, and reeled too far in the other direction, murdered by a society that demonizes obesity, so I’m gonna fix it, make everyone in Japan fat, and eliminate thinness.” She explained, confident, cool, and composed… and Shinobu could only stare… everything she felt before was gone in place of sheer bafflement, this was probably the dumbest most cartoony plan she ever heard…
“Kyoko what the fuck are you talking about? They ate themselves to death because they were INTO it! It was a fetish! W-wha— HOW did you figure that fucking thing out?! And how did you—“
BANG!
Her criticisms were stopped with the loudest bang she’s ever heard, the gun firing just a bit above her, causing her ears to ring and her face to whiten in terror, taking every ounce of her mental strength not to run away by instinct alone.
“It’s not fucking stupid! I’m… I’m FIXING this fucked up world that took my friends away! You didn’t even… you… ugh… why am I bothering…” Kyoko sighed, placing the gun on the table and leaning back in her chair, a flicker of tears in her eyes, a sign there was still some of her former best friend under this visage.
Shinobu felt a crushing guilt wash over her, if she had just… gotten her head out of her ass, and stopped pitying herself, Kyoko wouldn’t be so alone… instead she selfishly focused on herself, and this was the result… she should have just killed herself when she had the chance, but now there were bigger worries.
She had just learned about it, and she could tell Kyoko would not shoot her… probably. In keeping with that logic, Shinobu began approaching Kyoko, who instantly picked the gun back up and pointed it as Shinobu, shouting at the pinkette to back away.
And yet, Shinobu didn’t… she couldn’t, she had to come closer, Kyoko called her in the dead of night… and she doubted it was as an actual warning, it was probably, unbeknownst to her even, a call she made to Shinobu as a cry for help before she did something she could never come back from.
Shinobu came closer and closer towards Kyoko, ignoring the gun trained on her chest and instead focusing on Kyoko’s eyes, growing more and more reluctant and scared, until she finally reached the brunette… gun not fired, eyes lacking commitment, expression tired and lonely.
Wordlessly the pinkette wrapped her hands around Kyoko, pulling her in for a hug, feeling relieved when the gun slammed against the floor, and the hug was reciprocated by Kyoko, who squeezed as tightly as she could, bursting into tears as she did.
“I know you feel… like you don’t deserve help Kyoko… but you didn’t do it yet… you called me… y-you’re still innocent, and you deserve help, not punishment…”
Kyoko didn’t respond, instead she just kept balling her eyes out, floodgates that were so easily burst open at the first sign of care… it just showed how neglected Kyoko felt, and how horrible Shinobu was for neglecting her.
The crying would continue for hours, before subsiding slowly into sniffles and whimpers, and Shinobu petting her head, softly reassuring her they’d work everything out later…
#shinobu#kyoko#not the biggest fan of solo writing so sorry if this is subpar... but this is important to have on the blog

timbartkon 21 please for the ask game? ♡
21. Vacation
Bart squints at the blazing sun. “Remind me again why Cassie isn’t out in the heat with us?”
Kon says, “she’s doing Amazon stuff in Themyscira.” at the same time Tim says, “she’s getting back at me for ghosting her and leaving her alone for half a year when I was looking for Bruce.”
Bart nods. “Ah.” And throws himself on the beach chair. His big hair is sticking to his face and neck with sweat, and Kon gives it two minutes maximum before that starts to seriously get to him.
“You’re like a sickly, pale, dying Victorian child,” Kon says, poking at Tim with his ttk and lolling his head all the way back to look at him. Tim, who’s still wearing a suit, sans jacket, despite the heat. Kon doesn’t think he’s seen him in anything but a suit since he came back. “Your suit’s gonna get wet and ruined by sand. Put on something reasonable, like a swimsuit or something. You’ll die of heatstroke.”
Tim—in a beach chair under the shade of a beach umbrella, a good hundred feet away from the water and working on his laptop (Kon gives it four minutes until Bart snatches the laptop away and wiggles beside Tim on the beach chair, upsetting them both when Tim inevitably pushes him away and Bart drags them down onto the sand.)—gives him a flat look. “I appreciate your concern, but I think I’m good.”
“We’re supposed to be on vacation,” Kon feels the need to point out, despite none of them knowing how to relax on vacation anymore. Kon doesn’t even mind the sun like they do—he’s part-Kryptonian. The sun does nothing bad for him, he’s stretched out on a beach chair in swimshorts absorbing its rays. It’s the rest of it that gets to him.
“Some grifing vacation,” Bart grumbles, sitting up, “it’s hot and my hair gets awful when it’s hot, do either of you have a hairtie?”
Right on cue.
Tim gestures at his bag—a briefcase, on a beach blanket beside him—and Bart’s got his hair tied up between one blink and the next. Bart then flops on the blanket next to the suitcase, taking advantage of the shade, and peeks at what Tim’s doing. “ThanksTim. Are those the nuclear launch codes?”
“No, just a backdoor to the systems of a new terrorist organization,” Tim says. It’s a private beach (meaning: Tim bought it out for the day) so he can say things like that. “O sent me the access codes for some light reading a minute ago.”
“Oh.” Bart looks crestfallen. Then he perks up, “anything I can do to help?”
Tim contemplates it, and Kon again feels the need to interject, “We’re supposed to be on vacation. Relaxing. Oracle’s orders.”
And Cassie should be here suffering relaxing in horrible, itchy idleness peace with them, but her excuse got her exempted.
“This is how Bart and I relax, right Bart?” Tim says, and Bart bobs his head.
“Besides, if she didn’t want us to do any hero-ing, she would have said so,” Bart points out, which, okay, fair.
It doesn’t make sense for Oracle to have sent them here just on vacation. Kon can’t claim to know much about her motivations and the way she works, not like Tim or the Bats do, but this doesn’t seem like something she’d do just because.
“There it is,” Bart says, pointing at Tim’s laptop screen and turning it to face Kon. Kon hangs out of his chair so he can see. “The terrorist organization is based here and is growing quick and she needs us to take it down.”
“Makes sense,” Kon says. “Why didn’t she just say so?”
“Her sending us here was her saying so,” Tim says, then, “what, did you really think she just decided we needed a break?”
“Now when you say it like that-”
Bart claps, and is on his feet in a blink, “alright, come on, enough talking and lazing about. Let’s go!”
Kon floats to his feet and stretches, grins. “Got your stuff?” And Kon’s stuff too, preferably.
“What did you think was in my luggage?” Tim raises an eyebrow, slipping his laptop into his briefcase and picking it up as he stands. “Clothes?”
“Duh.” Bart taps his Flash ring with his thumb.
And, yeah. This is more like it.

⚰️🕰️🌃 for your two favourite ocs
YAY YIPPEEEE THANK YOUUUUU i also kinda only have. two ocs hehe but YAY i also completey forgor about this so thank you for the reminder also
⚰️ - if your character lost a loved one, what would they do? would they grieve and move on? try to bring them back? cling to their remains?
mihangel has been dead before so his feelings on a loved one dying would be. Complex. because he knows how dark and empty it is to be dead but he also doesnt know if he's remembering right. maybe the afterlife is a beautiful place & he just doesnt know b/c he got pulled back into being alive? he would mourn & try to move on but there's still that nagging feeling of 'what if they really are alone'.
strangeways can talk to ghosts by partially entering their timestream and partially pulling ghosts into the normal timestream and She Would Do This. however she'd soon discover that talking to a dead loved one is actually a Terrible way to your live your life but there would definitely be a long period where she'd Want to sulk & be miserable about it and talk to them in the ghost world, even though it takes a lot of effort for her & only the most determined souls make fully lucid ghosts. especially if they've been dead for a while & are starting to fade, she'd still try to bring them through to this world to talk even when its incredibly draining for her. someone else very close to her would have to convince her to stop. she would be the kind of person to think 'i ALWAYS have to carry this around with me & be sad about it' even though she has an extended lifespan. she would think 'in a thousand years i still have to be upset about this' even if realistically the pain would have faded by then.
more under cut cos this is going to be. long lol
🕰 - what would your character do if they were stuck in a time loop?
YAYAYYYA TIMELOOP I LOVE TIME MESSED UP NESS!!!! they both have Time Things going on hehe
mihangel would. not be coping well with that. in his backstory a Time Thing happened to him that meant that events changed and he is no longer dead, and he would probably think that this is the universe tryng to right itself & fix time by putting him in a loop or a pocket dimension of something. he would be freaking out about being stuck in a timeloop (is he aging? will he ever die? is everyone else looping to or is it only me stuck here? how do i even begin to get out?), she has anxiety which isnt helping. i think (depending how long she's there) she would go through a period of like. doing slightly odd but not actually harmful things just b/c there are significantly less consequences. go for 2am walks by herself. be slightly weird in public. climb up the side of a building and sit on the roof all day.
strangeways would go straight to the 'oh hell yeah, no consequences!!' stage where she'd think 'well if the universe doesnt sort this out in a few days i'll deal with it then, but in the mean time i'm gonna steal a tv and set a couch on fire and go drinking & go to the loudest concert possible' but there would be a deep undercurrent of The Dread. she would just think well surely this will sort itself out soon right????? as she goes out for the 173rd night in a row of wandering around in the dark looking for something interesting to do, as a distraction while she hopes the problem will go away. she'd think to herself 'oh wow i could use this to study so much' only to find that her notes have unwritten themself you know. idk maybe the room wouldnt reset but you get the idea.
🌃 - what would your character do if they were trapped in a labyrinthine city that's alive?
THEYD BOTH BE HAVING SO MUCH FUN AND ALSO BE DEEPLY UNSETTLED BY THE EXPERIENCE YIPPEE
knowing them they'd probably be there together, so. mihangel would be trying to figure out where they are & how to get where they're going & get out again without getting lost/trapped/consumed by the city/etc. probably trying not to touch the walls. he'd be more Disguested when he works out the city is Alive i think. morbidly fascinated but more wanting to just Get Out Of There. strangeways would be pushing button and picking stuff up & being like 'haha wow this is kinda creepy & cool' while trying to cover up that she's actually really unsettled by the whole thing. mihangel would be interested in Looking Around, and strangeways would want to try & communicate with the city, whether or not they can work out if thats possible.
#YAYAYAYYAYAYAYYAYYYYYYY THANK YOU FOR THE ASK :D#<3 hehe#i keep thinking hmmmm i should think about my ocs more & then. forgetting lol.#these are really good questions also good choices#thanks for the ask!!#mihangel is the character in my pfp also <3 my favourite boygirl <3#ocs

II. The Road to California (Winchesters x Younger Sibling)
AN; so don't get me wrong. I love every single sibling au there is when it comes to my boys but i just cant stand how i always feel like its too sappy for what supernatrual in, so im writing this lol. like i said im gonna try to stick to the plot (timeline wise) but everything else is me so enjoy chapter two. (yes i do skip over some things beause a second sibling changes the timeline)
Summary: Dean and Jamie make their way to Sam in California.
word Count: 4.3k estimate
After filling Jamie in on the case concerning their father, the siblings fell into silence. Dean was driving while Jamie went through the cassettes for another album to listen to.
“I’m sorry we missed your graduation. I know it was a big moment for you.” Dean started. His sister was different, he could sense it. She was stronger, more mature but he couldn’t help but see that tiny kid Dad found in a big empty house.
“It was no different than any of the other big moments but let’s not get into it, Dean. Besides, you guys were on an important hunt and I forgot to get your tickets anyway. We can play catch-up when we get Sam.” She didn’t want to get all sentimental till they could get it all out with Sam after he agreed to come with them.
Dean sighed. “Jamie, I know you don't like being emotional 'cause you wanna be like your big brothers but we messed up. We weren't there for you when we should have been.”
“I know, don't worry it was lame anyway.” Jamie gulped. “I know you are upset about me hunting. Bobby didn’t even know till a couple of hunts ago!” She tried to explain but Dean put his hand up.
“You know how Dad feels about you hunting Jamie. That’s the whole reason he trusted you to Bobby, so you could have a normal life!”
“You know I was never going to have one, especially with my Mom still awol,” Jamie said, getting quieter when she mentioned her Mom.
Dean knew it was a touchy subject. How Dad always forbade her from seeing her Mom even though she was still alive. Jamie didn’t know the whole story of course but Dean couldn’t bring himself to tell her the truth.
“Is that what this is about? Dad and I told you what happened. You shouldn’t go chasing after her!” Dean said.
“Why should that matter? I have a right to know who my mom is if I have the chance!”
“You’ve never even met her Jamie! We are your family. We have been there for you!”
“Oh Really? You left me with Bobby for a year Dean. You never call, never text, Dad never calls, never texts. I didn’t even know if you were alive until you rolled up!”
Dean didn't want to argue. She was right and he knew it. they had been less than a family in the past year. especially since Sam left.
“Okay. You’re right, but now we have to put that aside and get to Sam so we can find Dad.” Dean subsided. There was never a point in arguing with Jamie, for one they could never stay mad at her, their little girl, and two, thanks to her special little party trick they could never hide their true feelings from her.
“Yes, and I’m going to help you find Dad. there is no point in arguing because I’m going to do it anyway. I got past Bobby, you two are easy.” She added, taking the finishing sip from her cream soda.
“Whatever. So what have you hunted? Any souvenirs?” Dean asked jokingly.
“First was a shapeshifter that wormed its way into town. I beat Bobby to that one when I saw its skin outside my school earlier in the year. Then there was the vampire a couple of towns over and most recently a ghost haunting my ex-boyfriend, talk about karma.”
“Boyfriend?”
“yeah, it didn’t end up well. He wasn’t as cool as I thought he was but oh the face he made when I ganked that sucker. Ah for the pages!” Jamie laughed.
“Right. Well, no more boyfriends if you plan on being a hunter, and just because you graduated doesn’t make you grown up. So it’s the same. You follow orders and stay out of the way.” Dean said, glancing between her and the road.
He remembered the night Dad took them to her. Like the drifters they grew up to be, they were staying at their Dad’s friend’s house in Texas, hunting a vampire nest. He knew that his Dad and Frida were close. They would stop by anytime they were in town and one day, Dad had taken them there. He told them it was something important, an emergency.
Sam and Dean questioned them the whole time about what it was till he finally spit it out.
“You have a baby sister now and I’m taking you to meet her.”
“Dad, what do you mean? With Frida the medium?” Dean asked.
“Look, I know you’re probably upset but we didn’t mean for this to happen. I didn’t even know until a couple of weeks ago. Frida is in some trouble and needs our help.”
That was all he said about it. When they got there, the house was empty except for a car seat and a note. John and Dean searched the house while six-year-old Sam stood guard over the Baby. Curiosity got the better of him and he read the letter as he looked at the sleeping baby.
“Dear John, I am so sorry I did not tell you sooner. This child will likely have some of my abilities and for that reason and more than I can explain, I must leave her with you. All of her paperwork is under my bed. I named her Jamie Winchester. You are the father so don’t even think of running from this. She needs you and you need her.
-Frida.
“What’s it say, Sammy?” Dean asked as he came back to the main room.
“Her name is Jamie, and she is our new sister,” Sammy said, carefully holding the newborn in her arms. “Do you want to hold her? She is sleeping.”
“Sure,” Dean said, sitting down and taking the baby from Sam. “Jamie huh? She is a Winchester. Look at that nose!” He said. Using his index to lightly tickle the baby’s nose.
“Boys. this is no time to be cute.”
And the rest was history. it took a lot to adjust to having a new baby on the road but Dean had done it before with Sam. It wouldn’t be much harder.
The rest of the drive was silent other than the occasional argument of Metalica or AC/DC they enjoyed each other’s presence.
“So…was there any word on your Mom?” Dean asked just as they entered Palo Alto.
“No, still nothing. But I know she is out there. Ever since the thing kicked in I’ve felt a presence and I know it disturbs you but I can’t help it.” Jamie said, immediately going to defend her statement.
“It’s not that kiddo. Regardless of what you have going through you’re head. We all love you no matter what. You are family, ever since that night in Texas, and nothing will ever change that June Bug.”
Jamie smiled and nodded. “yeah, can we stop for food? we’ve been driving forever.” Dean chuckled and agreed. They pulled into a burger joint and sat down. It was late, almost midnight on this side of the country.
“Do you think Sam will come D?” Jamie asked, setting her drink down.
“Of course he will, it’s the family business.”
Jamie stared at her brother for a moment. “Why did you never answer my calls?”
Dean looked up at his baby sister. He knew this would be the topic of conversation until Jamie was satisfied with his answers.
“Sweetie, listen, hunting is not for sport. we don’t do this because we think it is fun. I should have called and checked on you, I know and I’m sorry I didn’t. I’m sorry I didn’t return your calls. I’m trying here.” He explained.
“Fine, I will accept your lackluster and mediocre apology. But I hope you know I know you are hiding something and I’m gonna find out what it is.”
For a moment, Dean almost got panicked over the idea of his baby sister finding out what he was hiding but that was for another time.
“Common, we gotta go get Sammy, the case is still an hour away,” Dean said, dropping some change on the table and waiting. Jamie nodded and took her final bites before dusting herself off and following her brother.
“You know, when you said try to convince him, you skipped the part where we break into our brother’s dorm,” Jamie said as she followed Dean up the fire escape.
“What can I say? We’re Winchesters.”
He broke the window and crawled in. Jamie followed after. Looking around at her brother’s life for the last two years. She pulled her gun out when she heard a crash. Turning around her brothers were wrestling, Sam holding a bat.
“Dean?!” Sam’s voice was tired. “Jamie?! What the hell are you guys doing here at two in the freakin morning?”
“Well, Dean is looking for beer but we came here for you.”
“You guys can’t just break into my house! I could have killed you?”
“You wouldn’t,” Jamie answered.
“Sam?” Another voice rang from the hallway.
“Jess. Uhm, these are my siblings. Dean and Jamie, can you give us a minute?”
“Yeah, I’ll go put something on.”
Jamie looked away. She was pretty, but she couldn’t help but sense that something was off, she wandered around the house while her brothers talked. It was always easy to slip away when she stepped away from them. Their bond was nothing she could ever imagine for herself. Yes, Sam left hunting behind for a better life, he left his family behind because of the turmoil but you can never not be a hunter. That was always her takeaway from the night Sam left for Stanford.
Jamie listened back in when Sam’s voice got serious.
“Whatever you need to say to me you can say to her too,” he said, putting his arm around his girl.
“Um, Dad’s on a hunting trip,” Dean said, raising his brows like Sam was supposed to understand him. “And he hasn’t been back for a while.”
"yeah, you know how the season is," Jamie said, raising her brow and winking.
“Jamie go wait in the car,” Dean said, tossing the keys for Jamie to catch right on time. She turned to Jess and smiled. “It was nice meeting you, finally. We’ll bring him back in one piece.” Jess nodded and Jamie left. Walking past her still arguing brothers.
She started the car up and waited by the trunk. Stealing one of Dean’s beers while she was at it. He wouldn’t mind. She knew he couldn’t wait for her first beer with him. Truth is her life has been on a fast track ever since Sam left and after she was left at Bobby’s she knew she would have to hit the road for her Mom sooner or later. She chose sooner knowing it wouldn’t be an easy battle finding out who she was outside of being a Winchester.
“Jamie, pop the trunk,” Dean said. She dropped the beer to her side, hiding it behind her thigh as her brothers walked towards her. Sam had a tired look on his face.
“What was he hunting?” Sam asked.
“And why didn’t you go with him, Dean?” Jamie piped in from the side.
“I had my own thing voodoo thing in New Orleans.”
“Dad let you go on a hunt on your own?”
“I’m twenty-six dude and besides Jamie has been solo hunts too. You’re the only one who’s behind.” Dean said.
Sam looked at his little sister with a mix of anger and surprise. She sighed and looked away. She wasn’t going to take dirt from someone who ran away from the life.
Sam walked over and hugged his sister. He already knew what she was thinking by the way she hugged him back. It wasn’t the kind of hug that popped his back and made his heels slightly lift up like before. It was just a return hug.
“Jamie. I left hunting behind, not you..”
“Well, you have a funny way of showing it. Fill him in Dean, I’m waiting in the car.” Jamie said. She knew she had no real right to be angry. She was there with him at the height of Dad’s obsession but she couldn’t relate. Well, she could but she refused it was the Same with Dean. it was always her reaching out after Sam left. They never needed her.
She got in the backseat and checked the time. it was late but Bobby would probably be up. She mulled it over for a moment opting to listen while Dean caught Sam up. A few minutes later she watched as Sam walked away. For a moment she wondered if he would walk back out. to her relief, he did. There was nothing she wanted more in the past year than to be with her family again sometimes.
Sam looked so much more mature, maybe even taller than when she last saw him, his hair was maybe an inch shorter and his clothes looked newer.
Sam jumped in and Dean followed.
“Looks like we’re getting the band back together.” Jamie joked, there was no better joy than irritating her brothers.
“Hell yeah!” Dean said as Sam rolled his eyes.
“I have to be back by Monday. No exceptions.”
Dean and Jamie rolled their eyes at their brother as the engine turned over. Jamie couldn't help but look back at Sam's house. It didn't feel like him at all. Right before they turned the corner, she could have sworn she Saw Jess looking through the downstairs window as they left. She did not look happy either.
-
Sam and Jamie sat in silence as Dean went into the convenience store. She could sense the tension he felt, how apprehensive he was about going on a hunting trip.
“Jamie,” Sam said, turning around to face his kid sister.
“What is it, Sammy? I’m reading here.” She said, putting the local newspaper down and looking at her older brother.
“I just, want you to know that when I left, I never left to get away from you.”
“Sam…” Jamie sighed. “I know you didn’t leave because of me.” Jamie adjusted her position taking up the entire backseat. “Yes, I am salty about it but you don’t have to keep apologizing. You still did more than Dad..or Dean for that matter.” She muttered. Sam tried to say something but Dean came back.
“Jamie, breakfast. Sammy?” Dean offered as he got into the car. Jamie accepted the cheap junk food and retired back to her newspaper. Dean mouthed to Sam, asking what was wrong with their sister and he gave Dean a look as if telling him to not go there.
“No breakfast. How are you guys even paying for this? Still running credit card scams?”
“Well, hunting isn’t exactly a pro-baller business,” Dean said.
“Did you forget the gummy bears?” Jamie asked from the backseat. Dean sighed and tossed them back to her. “Thanks.”
“Okay, game plan. Jamie is gonna get the motel set up, see if Dad left anything and we are gonna go get intel. We need more information.”
“Yeah, like Dad ever leaves us with any. Why am I stuck at the motel?” Jamie said, sitting up and chewing on gummy bears.
“Because you are the youngest and the youngest does research.” Sam piped in. Jamie could tell he didn’t like the fact that she was on the hunt. She grumbled and turned to face away. Sam rolled his eyes and gave Dean a look.
Jamie listened as they bickered over the music. Eventually, they took off and Jamie was left at some rank motel in town.
“Just like the old days. It would be fun he said. yeah, if leaving me in the motel my entire life is a fun childhood.” Jamie muttered to herself as she entered the hotel. Her role in this family unit was to stay behind.
She entered the motel room, flipped on the switch, and almost relaxed till she looked up and saw the walls covered wall the wall with what she could only assume were her Dad’s notes. Taking in her surroundings, there were sigils painted on the doors and windows, salt lining every entrance. Even the floor vent was covered.
“Dang Dad, what did you get yourself into?” She asked herself. Walking to the wall and reading over her Dad’s notes she could barely make sense of any of it. There were papers covering the walls, strings, and sticky notes. It was like a conspiracy theory board or something.
“Alright Dad, let’s see what you saw.” She muttered to herself. This was something she discovered fairly recently, something she could only attribute to her inheritance.
Jamie first realized there was a chance she could experience visions when she started getting into thousands of pages of lore Bobby had amassed and continued to grow as he went on his hunts with Rufus. She didn’t know for sure until she met her ex-boyfriend. He had been lying to her and she knew it, she went to punch him and saw visions of him with one of the girls from the cheerleading team.
Jamie scoffed to herself as she remembered the moment she discovered her visions, but they weren’t visions of the future like the lore had described; as far as she could tell they were visions of the past. The most recent moments of the past, but moments that had already happened nonetheless.
She tried to tell Bobby but she just couldn’t. He was already keeping her hunting secret at the time and she didn’t want to burden him with another. So she practiced in secret when Bobby was away, she would make her way up to the attic where he put the majority of his daughter’s belongings. She would touch them and see flashing moments of his daughters playing with them. Likely the last time they ever touched the many toys up there.
“Alright Jamie, you got this. Before Sam and Dean come back.” She muttered to herself before taking a deep breath through her teeth. She focused like she did with the girl’s toys and closed her eyes.
She felt her heartbeat outside of her body as she watched from the perspective of the wall. She saw her Dad staring back at her. Behind him, he was aligned with a mirror that hung in the room. He was haggard, standing a ways away from the wall, before walking towards it. he was on the phone, talking to someone. She couldn’t make out the words but she could almost read his lips.
The vision cut off and Jamie felt like she had fallen from high up and just made an impact with the ground. She stumbled back from the force and planted onto the bed.
“That was useful.” She muttered to herself, rubbing her brow to soothe the oncoming headache before gently laying down.
—
Sam and Dean returned in suits, sighing as they opened the motel door. Jamie had called them and told them all about the Dad’s room and how she couldn’t make sense of anything.
“Did you find anything, Jamie?” Dean called out. He didn’t hear a response. “Jamie? Are you in the bathroom?” Dean called again. Dean looked at Sam. “Where is she?” Dean asked as he walked through the small room. Only the bathroom was separated and a small wall led to a closet.
“Have you tried calling her?” Sam said, walking around the room and staring at his father’s obsession.
Dean muttered something under his breath and grabbed his phone.
“She better pick up.” He muttered. as the phone rang. sam listened as it rang and rang.
“This is Jamie Winchester’s main line, leave a message after the tunes. Caio.”
“Dammit, Jamie. Why is she always running off without telling us? We got her that phone for a reason.” Dean muttered as he changed out of the suit.
Sam stayed silent and changed as well. “Maybe she is at the library digging something up.” He suggested. Dean always jumped to worst-case scenarios when it came to him and Jamie. He raised her the same way Dean raised him. He was surprised that after she graduated she didn’t hightail it out of there for her mom.
Dean was calling again and on the third ring, it picked up.
“Hi D.”
“Jamie Winchester you answer when I call!” Dean sighed. He was just relieved she was okay.
“Okay jeez, don’t go all ‘Dad’ on me. I’m at the library digging up some local lore. I happen to have respect for municipal buildings big bro.” Jamie joked. “I took the bus and put my phone on silent.”
“Did you find anything good?” Dean asked, rubbing the bridge of his nose. Already regret picking her up from Bobby’s to help. Deep down he knew he wouldn’t be able to focus if she wasn’t near. The last year taught him how much he needs his family.
“Actually, yes. I did. Just like you said, over the years the killings have happened routinely and on the same stretch of road. I think it a haunting. Meet me here and I’ll fill you in.” Jamie negotiated.
“Okay. Sammy and I will come get you.” Dean agreed hanging up and turning to his brother. Who was standing by the door with his “I told you so” face.
“not a word out of you,” Dean said pushing past him. Sam rolled his eyes with a scoff and grabbed his bag.
“Why did you even bring her? You know Dad is going to tear us a new one for putting Jamie in danger. She should be in Sioux Falls.” Sam said following after his brother.
“She came along anyway and you know Dad could never say no to her? Remember when he got her .45 for her 13th birthday?” Dean said.
“No, you got scared after a ghost tried to haunt her at school and pretended Dad left it.” Sam corrected. His brother always seemed to remember some things differently than he and his sister. "She got suspended for having rounds in her backpack.
“Whatever,” Dean said, they got into the car and made their way to the library in town.
“So, how has she been?” Sam asked as he skimmed over some newspaper.
“Who Jamie? She is fine?” Dean said shrugging his shoulders.
“Dean, she is our little sister,” Sam said rolling his eyes. “Did you even know she’s been looking for her mom, Frida? Have you or Dad even checked on her in the last year? She is hunting on her own for god’s sake!”
Dean grimaced and looked over at his brother. He couldn’t image what would happen to his sister if they let her find Frida but he could also imagine how she must have felt when he didn’t call. He didn’t have a response, all he could think in that second was remembering what those bodies just a floor above his sister went through and how she could have been next.
“She will never find Frida. I don’t know why Dad kept giving her false hope.” Dean said, shaking his head and looking out the window.
“Dude, that’s her mom. She should be allowed to know her at least as an adult and we both know, Dad probably knows that she won’t stop till she gets what she wants.” Sam said. "I would have killed for a chance to know Mom."
This was where a lot of their arguments started. Over Jamie. It was either Jamie, Dad, or hunting.
“Sam, you know why we can’t let that happen.”
“Why because of something Jamie had nothing to do with and can’t control? We don’t even know if Frida went haywire on those guys that night.”
“That is exactly why. We are lucky Jamie didn’t get the full package. We got enough to worry about as it is.”
“How do we know that De-” Sam was about to start again, but the car was parked, and Dean looked up at the library.
“Sam.” Dean turned to his younger brother. His face was calm and his eyes watered for a second. His siblings had grown so much since he had last seen them. “I- never mind.” Dean didn’t even know what he was going to say. He got out and marched towards the library. Sam followed.
The boys walked in and searched for their little sister. Sam spotted her first and ruffled her hair before pulling a chair up. Just to get pushed out of the way by Dean.
“Hey! We have work to do, stop goofing off.” Jamie said. She hated how rough her brothers could get in public.
“Bitch.”
“Jerk.”
“Here look at this. I found this blog that talks about a close encounter someone had a couple of years ago. They also saw a woman in white that night but get this. This person heard her say something just before making it off the bridge the way he came. I think there are some embellishments but…” Jamie trailed off. She knew she at least found another witness account at best, her interweb slouthing skills needed serious improvement.
“here let me see,” Sam said. Jamie moved over, making room for her big brother. Dean wasn’t even paying attention. He was checking out the young librarian when he saw stacking books.
“Right here.” Sam pointed out. Jamie read the old article Sam had found.
“Dean, we found it,” Jamie said, tapping her eldest brother. “Does it say where she is buried, Sam?” Jessie asked, leaning forward.
Sam had to take a second. He felt like he had whiplash. He didn’t know how to feel about his baby sister going after a ghost with them, let alone whatever Dad was hunting. He puts it aside when Dean peaches them both away.
“No, but the survivor says that he heard the woman say “I can never go home.” The same thing that was in Dad’s messages.”
“Well?”
“Constance Welch. Committed suicide after her two children drowned, and threw herself off a local bridge.”
“brutal.” He muttered. “Alright, find out where she is buried Jamie, Sam and I will check out where she died,” Dean said.
“Okay, can I get some pizza money?” Jamie asked. She knew better than to argue on a hunt but at the same time, she couldn’t help but yearn to be in their place, actually saving people and hunting things.
Dean scoffed and reached into his pocket. Handing his sister and twenty and leaning down to make eye contact with her.
"If you aren't back at the motel by the time we are, I'm going to kill you." He said with a small smile.
"You couldn't even if you tried." She sassed back, taking the twenty and pocketing it. Jamie and Dean stared each other down
Back at the motel they were, Jamie splayed herself out on one of the beds. She felt exhausted, with no idea why but if her brothers-
“Why are you sleeping, Jamie? We still have some bones to burn.” Dean said.
“Ugh, can’t you just leave me alone for one minute? Ever since we got in the car it’s Jamie this and Jamie that. If you weren’t gonna let me hunt why bring me at all Dean!?” With that she stood up and walked out again, handing her jacket pockets and a scowl on her face
“Dude, what’s with her?” Dean asked confused as to why his sister was suddenly giving him so much attitude, they were fine less than an hour ago.
“I’ll go talk to her,” Sam said, zipping up his jacket and walking outside. Dean sat down and looked around.
Sam didn’t have to go far to find his kid sister. She was leaning up against the side of the motel, her head in her hands.
“Hey, June Bug.” Sam called, using her old nickname from when they were kids.
“I’m not a kid anymore Sammy.”
“And I’m not a chubby twelve year old but here we are.” He said, moving next to her and leaning on the ledge of the wall. “So. Are we going to talk about what just happened?”
“Igh. I don’t know. He is just like Dad. He rolls up expecting us to just follow him and put up with these stupid orders. I’ve been on my solo hunts from start to finish Sam! Why can’t they trust me to help? I have half a mind Dean set this all up just to get us together and I love it when we are together but when we are we-” She said, rubbing her brow as she spoke.
“We’re pretty nuclear, I know, June bug.” He said with a lazy smile he always had when he knew he was right. Sam reached up, pulling her hand down. He didn’t know if she kicked her hair-pulling habit but he didn’t want it to start again either way.
“Hey, I get it. Trust me but you know we are just trying to protect you. Hunting isn’t exactly a safe career choice and there sure as hell isn’t workman’s comp.” He tried to joke.
“Oh really, is it any safer than leaving a ten-year-old and a toddler in some random motel with a clerk who is probably a pedophile?” She asked, sitting up to face her brother. She was in his face, Sam never backed away from her though. He didn’t even flinch at his baby sister. All he could do was internally laugh at the irony of their family’s dynamic.
Sam was much bigger than she was. He was bigger than all of them actually but Jamie had no real fear of her brothers. They never saw her as any real threat either. Most of their restyling matches ended up with Dean holding her down while Sam ticketed her. This wasn’t one of those situations.
“Are you gonna go back to Bobby’s?” Sam asked.
“No, the only thing waiting for me there is a car that has no belt, Bobby, and a bunch of faces I don’t want to see.” Jamie kicked a loose rock away from her boot.
“Have you considered college? You’re wicked smart with machines, like Dean.”
“Yeah, and abandon my family, that would go over well. Ya know Sam when you left none of us talked to each other for three days. I know we grew up pretty unnoticed but we were never completely abandoned. You got to leave and you left me behind too.”
“Ja-Jamie come on. You can’t hold that against me forever you knew I had to leave!” Sam tried to argue.
“Sam, you forget I can feel your true intentions. Whether I want to or not so no matter how much you try to explain it away with all your logic and luscious hair, I know exactly how you felt that night and that won’t change.”
Sam huffed and chewed his cheek. If he knew one thing about Jamie Winchester, it was that she knew how to hold a grudge.

Wish they ended on barlissa at the bar tho :(
Ok overall I honestly didnt love that ep at first
And the big reason is i didnt think the panel needed so much and i wanted barlissa to have more
Their conflict didn’t feel as real and earnest as other examples
It got wrapped up surprisingly quickly - they fell out more over safety scissors and ‘yous’
And I’d’ve liked them to share a vulnerable moment away fro everyone else.
It just felt eh
Also being away from school felt weird too
Based on teaser clips i thought it could be a lisa emmy consideration ep but no - could be for tyler though
Barbara’s jealousy is v v interesting tho 👀
After a few days I like it more
I still feel a bit confused tho

Rory!! Chapter 30 was amazing also I'm so impressed that your posting 30+ chapters it feels crazy thinking that It's been 7 months (I think 🤔 correct me if I'm wrong) and now about the angsty parts 😭😭 I'm kinda mad that everyone was so mean to omega like she was over hear sobbing her eyes out and everyone's just forcing her to tell the truth but I kinda understand how the guys felt I mean they were probably all sad disappointed and filled with grief and fear over omega not telling them the truth and putting herself in danger (also the part they lost trust in her and thought she was a spy) tell me why I felt so intimidated by Simon?! Like if a was omega I'd run away in tears and shame if he even looked at me if the whole camera thing happened (also love the part where Simon told her about him killing könig 😈) AND I COULD WRITE A MILLION THINGS MORE BUT I HONESTLY WANT YOU TO TAKE A BREAK!!! it's honestly upsetting seeing so many writers nowadays burning themselves out I've seen so many refuse to take any breaks and take care of their of their mental health that I'm really happy that you take breaks and being able to support you and see you write and respond to so many people have really helped me be more open to others so just remember that your real anons that care about you wouldn't get upset if you didn't answer their ask or maybe taking a break 🩷
Yeah, it's been 7 months now it's hard for me to believe honestly. I've written 240,000+ words this year. I'm almost at the amount of words I wrote last year, and honestly I'm gonna beat it. Probably easily there's still a lot of the year left to go.
That's exactly why they reacted like they did. 'Mega put herself in danger and hurt them by not trusting them even as they grew closer, and also betraying and lying to them by keeping it a secret. It's a complicated situation with a lot of emotions involved.
No, that's valid to be intimidated by Simon in that moment. 'Mega got to see Ghost and experience him firsthand directly and that was definitely a scary moment for her. I would have crawled under the table and forced him to pull me out I couldn't handle that.
Hehe I had to throw in something funny and it was the perfect time to kill of Konig off screen.
I'm alright. Taking a few days off the blog has honestly helped me so much. It gives me time to relax and not focus on trying to answer as many asks as possible while also allowing myself to get some writing done so I'm not stressing at the last minute to get 8k words written. With starting my new job too, I might have to take some time off as I adjust and get used to working again.
#we'll see once I actually start working#though by the time this posts I might actually already be working#we'll see#answered#queue 06#crcb spoilers

How will the reunion between Akari and Juliana go? Or Carmine?
So this is like, two years post Indigo Disk at this point. Carmine is about 19 here, and Juliana/Florian as being 17 and Kieran as 16 here.
Carmine travels for her job, she works with researchers as a sort if body guard against wild pokemon in dangerous areas they're studying. Pretty much what she did with Briar as a student. So she is out of the region when Akari gets reverse eebied back. They're staying with Drayden in Opelucid City, since Ingo is staying there too (and Emmet he's not going anywhere). After Carmine finally finds out what's up from Drayton she demands to facetime immediately to see Kieran.
Akari vaguely remembers her, their memories are sort of coming back. They just feel kind of seperared from them. Staring at the face of god kind of scrambles your brain.
So they initially reunite over facetime but it's not exactly a coherant conversation on Carmine's end. She's too busy bawling so Drayton winds up having to have a private conversation with her about the situation. After that she drops everything calls her grandparents to tell them whats up and then THAT'S it's own situation becauase poor grandma thought she was having a stroke when they heard the news.
When she gets back to Unova and finally sees Kieran in person she's bawling again and appologizing to them like Drayton did so Akari is finally like why does everyone keep apologizing to me? I dont get it. So then she's even more upset lol. But Akari really matured in Hisui and does kind of remember a big sister so there super happy someone they're related to actually wants them. (Akari went through a phase where their memories of indigo disk era had them thinking they were a terrible person and everyone back home was better off without them)
She also has a few of Kieran's pokemon on her like Furret and Hydrapple and they are very emotional seeing Kieran again. It takes her a few days because she's so overwhelmed but she eventually reaches out to Briar and the Protagonist to let them know Kieran's alive.
Im just gonna use Juliana in this to make it easier, but Juliana is shook. Like she's moved on with her life, mourned Kieran, still has nightmares about the incident. Kieran is the ghost that haunts her. So she's beside herself too and Carmine gives her time. She tells her friends who like, all vaguely know Kieran through osmosis since the whole thing kind of broke her, and they help her work through what she's feeling. Same with her mom, her mom keeps a picture of Kieran in their house even though she never knew them. But like the fact that this kid died and her own kid almost did too is pretty devastating to think about.
So Juliana facetimes Carmine and Carmine shows her Kieran (they don't talk yet, the whole situation is a lot for these two) and she starts crying too lol. She's like "do you think he'd want to talk to me?" And carmine is like "well, they've changed a lot but its more like. Theyre back to their old self just, more sure seeming? Also i honestly dont know if they remember you"
So its a whole shitshow essentially. Just a bunch of people navigating a difficult situation. Akari is kind of facinated by Juliana like "wowzers i was friends with someone so cool? I cant believe i was so mean to her i should appologize" and theyre like kieran i think sort of dying kind of negates that you're fine.
Then comes the big bomb that Akari has a SMART PHONE. That is the biggest change of all. Cannot believe you went to the past and came back with knowledge of memes.
Eventually the two talk and they're like pen pals for a while (through texting) while Kieran is healing and doing rehab for some injuries in Opelucid. Carmine is staying in an air bnb there to help out. Eventually Juliana gets the courage to come visit and when they meet she's half crying in joy half having a bi panic because Akari is very pretty.
The end

Behold—I have written another thing, this time for the Dance Of The Moonlight Jellies festival
Again, I write this with the headcanon of Stardew Valley being set in the late 90s to early aughts, hence some of the mentalities and the smoking
The event didn't require anything.
There was no potluck to bring tinfoiled dishes to or dances to find a partner for, despite the name.
That was why The Dance Of The Moonlight Jellies was the first festival that Roxanne decided to show up to.
It was odd being out on the beach so late—she'd always left by around eight even when night fishing.
Roxanne wandered over to the eastern shore, away from the docks.
A metallic glint caught her eye and she veered over to find the local wizard loitering by the treeline.
"You made it out too?" She asked, voice raised slightly to be heard above the surf.
Rasmodius looked up, surprised at her approach.
"How did you find me back here? I thought I was well hidden." He mused to himself, "Perhaps you are blessed with the gift of clairvoyance."
Roxanne shrugged, hands deep in the pockets of her brown leather jacket, "I dunno, I think I'm just naturally curious. All the clasps and stuff on your outfit catch the moonlight."
Rasmodius made a considering noise and gestured to the shoreline, "I'm here to observe the Lunaloos...or Moonlight Jellies, as you call them. They posses an unusually potent magical aura for an aquatic lifeform."
"Huh, interestin'..." Roxanne nodded politely before changing the subject, "Oh, by the way, I got rid of the ghosts that were unbalancin' things. I'll swing by your tower tomorrow for the payment."
"No need." Rasmodius procured a pouch and poured out a few coins, handing them off to her, "The elementals are pleased with your assistance."
"Happy to help." Roxanne grinned and jingled the coins in her pocket as she headed back to the shore, "Take care, man."
Roxanne headed out to the end of the docks where the younger trio was.
On the way, Vincent almost collided with her as he ran around, brimming with enthusiasm, "I wanna see the rare green jelly!"
Roxanne gave him an indulgent smile as she waved him on past her.
She was never good at interacting with kids—it made her anxious.
Still, she hoped he'd take her lukewarm response in stride.
She didn't know what she'd do if she actually upset the kid.
Panic, probably.
The band trio were perched out at the end of the pier.
She greeted the blond first, "Hey, Sam."
"Oh, hey, Roxanne. I wonder if they're poisonous?" Sam thought out loud, peering down at the water, "Maybe I shouldn't push Sebastian in..."
Roxanne just offered a contemplative hum as she turned to talk to Sebastian.
"Hey, Seba—" She greeted, only to be hushed by him.
Sebastian was hunched a little bit and he pointed out into the watery depths, his face serious and focused, "I thought I saw something moving in there...something big, something dark."
Roxanne mirrored his posture and her own dark gaze carefully scanned the water, but then his expression broke into a mischievous grin, "Heh, just trying to scare you."
She bit back a growl and walked back over to Sam, placing her hand on his shoulder to get his attention as she muttered lowly, "If you don't push him in, then I'm gonna."
Sam glanced over at his bandmate, contemplating before he grinned and made an offer, "Bring me a tigerseye and I'll do it."
She had one or two in her treasure chest, "Deal."
"Oh, this oughta be good." Abigail piped up to her right, her tone amused.
Roxanne left the trio and headed over towards the fish shop.
She overheard Jas talking excitedly to Shane as she passed them, "I hope there are babies this year!"
"Good evening, Roxanne." Lewis greeted her as she approached him, "The Moonlight Jellies are close...I already saw one glowing in the distance. Once we launch the candle-boat they'll come up to the docks and say hello."
"There! I just saw something glowing!" Jodi's excited voice drew Roxanne's attention. She came over to stand next to Jodi, the homemaker's expression falling, "Oh...it's gone."
"Patience, Miss Jodi." Roxanne heard Lewis chuckle behind her, "I'll set the boat loose in a couple minutes and they'll come closer."
Jodi smiled and sighed, "I know, I just can't help being excited to see them again. They're always so pretty."
Roxanne headed further down the dock and greeted her friend, "Hey, Clint!"
"Hey, Roxie...I wore my special shoes tonight," He sighed dejectedly, "No one noticed."
Roxanne snorted out a laugh, "Little hard to when it's so dark, man. You could be wearin' a friggin' muumuu and I wouldn't notice."
She paused as she thought about it, "Actually...I probably would, but I'd consider it none of my business and I wouldn't say nothin'."
There was a sudden cacophony across the way, lots of shouting and splashing.
Roxanne squinted to make out what was happening and then her expression morphed into a vindictive grin as she realized that Sam had made good on their deal, Sebastian sputtering and cursing at his friend from the water.
She did feel a twinge of guilt as he managed to clamber back onto the dock, dripping water and wrapping his arms around himself in the near-autumn chill.
She'd make it up to the kid with a frozen tear later.
After she dropped off Sam's tigerseye.
"Man, kids are vicious..." Clint said, eyeing the two distastefully.
"Eh, boys'll be boys?" Roxanne offered with a shrug, omitting her involvement.
She spotted Willy and waved to the fisherman as he approached.
"Most night-fish would be scared of the light," Willy mused as he puffed on his pipe, "These are strange ones."
Clint raised an eyebrow, "Can jellyfish even see?"
Roxanne considered it, "I think they have a way of sensin' light, kinda like how scallops do."
"...Scallops can see?" Clint asked again, looking more than a little bit bewildered.
Roxanne nodded, pantomiming with her hands, "Yeah, they have a lot of very simple eyes around the edge of their shell that can detect the light level."
"Heh, ye sound like Robin's husband." Willy lightly teased.
She shrugged, "Well, he and I do have quite a bit in common—"
"They're sending out the boat!" Clint interjected, pointing to where Lewis was untying the candle-boat.
The intricately carved vessel drifted out to sea, bearing its softly glowing cargo into the inky darkness.
Dozens of blue lights appeared in the distance and meandered closer, materializing into large pale jellyfish.
The Moonlight Jellies.
Roxanne wasn't so sure about the dancing part, though.
It was more like bobbing vaguely in their direction.
Still, it was breathtaking, watching such a large number of them float around the docks and shore.
Roxanne noticed a green glow amongst the blue and she knelt down to see it better.
An odd, skinny green jellyfish was beelining for her position on the docks, stopping to drift in front of her.
She kept her eyes locked on the creature as she asked Willy, "Is that the rare green jelly that Vincent was goin' on about?"
His tone was just as surprised as she was, "Aye, I think it is."
Roxanne stayed kneeling, one knee up and one on the dock, "Can you get the kid's attention? I'm kinda scared to move."
"I'll get him," Jodi piped up to her right, her voice quiet yet carrying as she called, "Vincent, come here!"
The boy in question hurried over, "Yes, Momma?"
Jodi pointed to the water by Roxanne and his face lit up when he spotted it.
"Woah!" The kid was practically vibrating with excitement as he crowded up to her to see better.
Roxanne's posture shifted, angling towards him protectively even as her eyes stayed locked on the jellyfish.
She heard someone approaching, their footsteps light on the wooden dock.
"Vincent, what's g—" Jas started to ask as she sidled up next to them, "Oh! The rare green jelly!"
He turned to his friend, "Yeah, it came right up to Miss Roxanne!"
The young girl pointed further out into the water, "And look, babies!"
Roxanne finally let her gaze leave the green jellyfish and sure enough, there was a small group of little jellyfish floating nearby.
They looked like tiny, perfect copies of the adults.
Her eyes drifted back to the green jelly still floating in front of her.
It felt almost expectant, like it had a thought process despite not actually having a brain structure.
"An unusually potent magical aura, huh..." She quoted quietly to herself, watching the creature bob about in the lapping current.
"It's a little bit different than the others, isn't it?" Emily's voice came from her left and she looked up. The barmaid's expression seemed pensive as she observed the odd jellyfish, "I can relate."
"Me too." Roxanne murmured as she finally stood up, shoving her chilled hands back in the pockets of her jacket and stepping away to let the kids take her place.
Emily smiled at her, "It must have chosen to swim up to you for a reason, I bet it's a sign of some sort."
Roxanne glanced back over at the water, "You think so?"
Emily nodded, "Yeah, I would recommend meditating on it. That's what I do when something like this happens to me."
"I'm not really sure how to do that," Roxanne admitted as she felt the craving for a cigarette creep up on her, for something to do with her hands and mouth, "But I suppose the best time to start learnin' is the present, right?"
"That's the spirit!" Emily's smile squinted her eyes, "If you like, you could come by my house tomorrow and I could help you take those first steps."
Roxanne tilted her head and made a thoughtful hum.
"I find that the first of the season's usually the busiest for me, what with buyin' and plantin' new crops." She explained, thinking out loud somewhat, "Might be quicker this time 'round though, since the corn's already planted."
"If you do decide to come by, be sure to bring a gemstone that you resonate with. That always helps me get into a meditative state." Emily offered.
Roxanne gave half a shrug, "Alright. I do have a few deliveries to make, but I should be able to do those later in the day."
"Great!" Emily waved as she returned to her spot on the docks.
"A gemstone I resonate with..." Roxanne mused to herself as she finally caved and fished her pack of clove cigarettes out of her leather jacket's inner pocket.
Her lighter sparked bright in the darkness and she relaxed as the sweet smoke curled around her.
She supposed she did feel drawn to aquamarines, despite not being particularly drawn to the ocean.
The round shape was nice and pleasant to hold.
Roxanne took a slow, deep drag as she contemplated her busy plans for tomorrow.
