While I am still enjoying Link Click Season 2, dear god the pacing is a mess
#don't mind me having a moment#link click#normally I complain about shows rushing through scenes#but here everything feels stretched out to the maximum#there is a fight scene in Ep 7 that serves no purpose but to waste the time of the characters forced into it#and clearly also the audiences time#how was season 1 able to tell interesting 20 minute stories#while also building up a greater narrative#but now that that narrative is the focus it just need to stretch everything out as much as possible

#GODDD I NEED MORE PPL TO TALK ABOUT IL-NAM AND GI-HUN'S FINAL CONVERSATION#and i need them to like actually pay attention this time#stg its one of the more misunderstood scenes of the series#ive seen some people seeing it as a clash of two totally valid ideologies when like#no one of these things is clearly wrong. characters can have flawed logic even if they SOUND convincing#il-nams so fuckin good at manipulating that hes manipulated the audience NOOOO#people got too convinced that il-nam was in the right when he said 'well people came back on their own accord'#as if we didnt have an episode explicitly showing us the characters very shitty lives outside of the games#that forced them back into them#as if we werent explicitly shown gi-huns situation in great detail in e1 that landed him in the games in the first place#also i do NOT agree with any kinda sentiment that gi-hun is 'just as bad as the VIPs' for playing that game w/ il-nam#i mean. the dude was clearly reeling from the fucking BETRAYAL HES EXPERIENCING>??#and also il-nam is very manipulative as i said before. i think he was good at redirecting their interaction so that in the moment gi-hun >#> kinda forgets could ditch il-nam and go outside n save the homeless man himself#<- not really perfectly worded but i hope yall get what i mean#plus in s1 it was shown that gi-hun could sometimes not think ahead or clearly#especially when his emotions are running high#like. idk. when he realizes the man hes grieved and felt immense guilt over for a year is actually an evil ass rich dude who orchestrates >#> the mass murder of people in debt#god i am one PETTY ASS BITCH cuz i will NOT LET THIS GO#anyways. i just think that il-nams betrayal is just so so fucked because i was really Thinking about it as i rewatched the ep and#gi-hun likely grieved il-nam the same way he grieved the other friends he had in the games. he probably saw him in his nightmares too.#remembered how he'd hugged him even though gi-hun had been tricking him#(SIDE NOTE. What I loved about Cinderella's Castle is it is so entirely about Ella. We know starkid can handle a show with tons and tons of characters but I found it quite refreshing for it to be so wholly her story? I think it was a lovely choice for this show and man Bryce did such a perfect job of it, she is truly such a star

#like being tricked into a room and locked off from the outside world with a pitcher of water‚ a waste bucket‚ and an army cot#as you slowly died while experiencing acute mental distress to the point of having a psychogenic seizure at the same time#that people discussed your fate as if it were a decision they had the authority to make (and they DO. unfortunately for you)#vs being tied to chair during which you're in pretty consistent communication and under the care of the person who put you there#and you're narratively given the opportunity to hunt this person down and you even have scenes with hand to hand combat#in which you're able to properly defend yourself. for the other person the idea of your life being in danger is carefully threaded risk#to be taken rather than (as per the previous circumstance described) a decision you have the authority to make#likeee i remember reblogging this post that ssid 'supernatural doesn't really have a concept of jail' but like absolutely yes it does#sam (and even other characters like mary and rowena) are both put in 'jail' as the direct effect to a fault#wrt the winchester familial dynamic and their role. it's one of the main differences here. sam is put in jail‚ dean is not#sam does not have the authority to put him there. it doesn't help that sam is literally pleading as the victim within his scene#while dean is able to victimise sam even as the monstrous body within the 10.03 scene#and the thing is that their identities are being compartmentalised in similar ways here. dean is attempting to save his sammy#from the encroaching (invariable) monstrous sam that which he spends the next season attempting to forgive for the shortcoming#of dean perceiving sam's efforts at independence as abandonment while sam is attempting to save his dean from the encroaching mark of cain#(chosen to be put there yet is still victimised by) and sam spends the rest of the season forgiving him over and over while even#taking misattributed responsibility and blame that which has to be made up for#4.21#10.03#se referat#edit: also adding onto chii's tags wrt the differences in capacity for consent regarding demon!dean#it's so interesting to compare demon!dean to soulless!sam in that demon!dean didn't have the capacity to reject competent!dean's consent#while both soulless!sam and 5.22!sam did not consent to be resouled in respectively active and precedingly passive ways#like 6.12 sam is clearly happy and grateful to have been resurrected and he doesn't even have any specific qualms#about dean keeping information relating to his ressurection from him but 5.22 explicitly made his consent�� or lack thereof‚ regarding#ressurection clear unlike dean in early-s10... and the thing is that the last time sam didn't pursue dean's ressurection#he faced negative consequences for that decision! and yet dean is seen as objectively correct for his actions in s6#by both the audience and narrative‚ and much of his responsibility regarding sam's psychosis isn't acknowledged as directly related#to his actions vs the pinning of blame to much of early-s10 onto sam esp relating to the guy he had summon a demon‚ who sold his own soul#despite sam's advice‚ whom demon!dean killed

guys you haven't heard of obelisks because while it is interesting if human-resident bacteria can have large unusual viroids 1. you also haven't heard of viroids, this is already a category of thing that just doesn't get a lot of wide public consumption news reporting because it has few direct human QOL impacts and a lot of conceptual prerequisites 2. anything this recent, reported by one lab, and entirely sequencing-based holds "this result might be a sequencing error" within it even if it's not extremely likely and in general it's a good idea to uh. keep it together for a while while other people check that they can find these using other methods 3. the reason you even think you should have heard of it is because it has a wikipedia page, which is because it's from a nobel prize winner's lab. this is an understandable reason but not obviously a good one 4. it's not a new kind of life because that's not how we use the word and also we don't know what it's up to. we have no evidence of it doing anything, let alone reproducing and encapsulating itself. and also because there's no god damn reason to think it's not a big weird viroid and we already don't really know what viroids are doing. get a hold of yourselves

WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE KNOWS SHE'S IN A DREAM? WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE'S GOING OUT OF HER WAY TO FIND NIIGO? WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE PULLS IDENTICAL SAD SMILES AT SEEING ALL OF THEM INTERACTING WITH HER LIKE A STRANGER? CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME?
she was SURPRISED when her mother said they 'had a talk' about mafuyu not being a doctor. she doesn't remember that conversation. she didn't KNOW what their relationship was in this world until her mother explicitly told her.
she reached out to ena THROUGH airi (when she shouldn't have otherwise even KNOWN about her) so they could all practice drawing together. she let mizuki suggest clothes for her to wear (going on a whole expedition with her classmates just to engineer a chance to take them to her boutique) bc there's no other way for her to interact with her?????????????
she literally said that kanade's songs give """"everyone"""" a warm feeling when everyone else has referred to them just as being 'cheerful' and 'popular'. and then the way she pushed kanade to list all the things she wanted to do... insisted on doing all of them in what might literally have been experienced by them AS a montage... it's like she's trying to gift kanade experiences + memories that she otherwise wouldn't have? and it's such a clear parallel between all the expeditions/trips niigo take HER on in the prime timeline in the name of finding herself?
i was already betting everything on kaito being the vocaloid to sing to her but his use here is now like. infinitely crazier to me in the context of the actual story. the 'hold onto your true feelings' vocaloid sings to mafuyu to comfort her in a world where she doesn't have her friends. and then she acts on those feelings by bringing them as close together as she can? because? she loves? her friends?

This is what I did during my spare time... I'm fine.
Side Notes: I didn't add any of the actual players for simplicity's sake, but I did add characters played by the CCs that aren't their main characters such as Arin, ElQuackity, and Sapo Peta.
It will be too complicated to add ex-alliances and spy-related stuff... but if I did! Jaiden will be between the "knows the federation" and "sides with the players" and Etoiles will be between "understands the codes" and "sides with the players" just because there are no real secrets about it if you watch their POVs.
#qsmp#this is what I did in Valentine's Day because my aro-ace ass couldn't think of anything better to spend my time on#also the thing that shock me the most out of this is THAT THE FUCKING DOG WORKS FOR THE FEDS WHAT#also the Watcher may hate the Federation and stuff but only really knows about Egg Island and nothing else#so he is included in the same area as Cucurucho Mr Duck and the Bunnies#and the Fed workers are in between because they LIKE the players 80% of them are friends or more that the other workers ARE NOT#Creation is so new but I think I'm okay in the placement for now just because is not attached to the Players enough to move to where Arin i#also there's a glee on seeing Ayrobot and SOFIA (Max's robo-daughter) in the same place just for perfectly for my little aymaxo brain#also I'm putting all the Cucurucho's on the Feds because there's not much distinguishing Cucurcho from Osito Bimbo and Ourson#also that's Madagio not naked Slenderman... although both of them would be in the same slot#and all the individual gods like Mine Kristin/Mumza Matt and both Cellbit's and Philza's individual god entities are still there#because we know them as the audience but we don't know what the fuck they know and what they can do even if they canonically exist#also I don't know what the fuck is @v@ so clearly deserves that spot despite being able to infect players federation works and the codes

just got a dm abt one of my posts and y'all please don't try and show the hermits (or any minecraft youtuber or content creator for that matter) my posts, i'm uncomfortable with it and don't want any of my posts shown to a cc. if they stumble upon it naturally that's unfortunate but i can live with it since i do maintag a lot (something i REALLY need to stop doing tbh i already know i need to make a tagging system just for my blog that wont clog results) but going out of ur way to show a cc is entirely different and something i am not comfortable with.
no hate to the person at all but even if i wasn't a little silly and weird with it sometimes i wouldn't be comfortable with it, i want my blog to be a purely fandom only space with none of the creators involved <3 please respect this

i just saw the live action how to train your dragon and i was SO pleasantly surprised!!! i laughed i cried i ooo'd and i awww'd just like i did when i saw the animated movie for the first time.
also i loooooooooooooved the detail of them making toothless smaller !!! his proportions in this movie made him actually look and feel like a very young dragon like Valka says he is in httyd 2 :,-) the CGI was goooooorgeous and gerard butler put his whole pussy into his performance as Stoic i was tearing up !!!

#i mean it's a novel. and it is not called creative license for nothing#i also know im not the target audience and that#the vast majority of the people reading this book are not like me (insofar as i've#read what's available from the archives/state calendar papers from 1533-36...#probably. front to back altogether; chronologically; about a dozen times or so? taken detailed notes etc )#*so i doubt it's a bugbear for many; if any; other than myself#but i was very easily able to pick out the primary source quotes ; and her intent in#placing; for example; a quote from a chapuys report of 1536 in late 1533#and switching the identities of certain people (here; norfolk subbed in for shelton ) for certain incidents#so as to bolster certain theories she clearly has about certain people and their loyalties...#i mean again it's a novel but this is what she does in her nonfiction too; she just has had more liberty to do so here#and there is a reason training in history is important to being labeled 'a historian'#you are to develop your theories from the evidence. not vice versa.#(or more specifically...she does literally the opposite of what historians are trained to do. she molds the evidence to fit her theories. )#anyway. review forthcoming...maybe#i'll have to read her author's note once i'm done with this section to see if she admits to any of these specific alterations#evidence first; theory after! otherwise we end up with all these superficial renderings
