someone commented on a post of mine accusing me of having an insecure attachment style and they had a funny username so i clicked on their blog and their most recent post is a nigh incomprehensible lesbian fanfic about turning in to a smart car and falling in love with a woman who turned in to an suv. i don't think i learned anything from this and i hope you didn't either.

I'll always talk up internet radio stations because I don't think the average person is aware that they're free, can run in your browser (or in any program that can connect to them), work on your phone, run better than a youtube tab, and give you a much better selection of music than you could get from a general algorithmic playlist

what, lmao? so cami is just lying about hussie not being present in conversations about what fanworks get to be a part of FRAF? and about the HICU not even 'needing' to be involved? why would she do that?

the 'reasons that you outlined' all hinge on concrete claims you made about hussie being at the head of every allegedly independent branch of homestuck (like the HICU and now FRAF). considering multiple people have said that's not how it works, why is the onus on THEM to show hussie 'not getting their way'? you're the one whose argument isn't being supported.

even putting that aside, what about your call to action to stop giving the HICU or FRAF money when cami also states that would just be hurting the creatives way more than hussie? do you have like, a specific example of someone whose monetisation is going straight to hussie? cause if not, at minimum that seems like a section you should be amending. you can critique hussie just fine without aiming that much fire at creatives who've done nothing wrong.

so far all posts by the FRAF and/or HICU have denied your claims that hussie controls either of them, and also denied that the HICU as a concept controls the FRAF + which fanworks gets licenses as well. do you have a counterargument to this?

I don't have a "counterargument" to them going "nuh-uh", no. I still have reason to believe Andrew has final say over things because of all the reasons I outlined, including personally seeing him exercise final say powers.

Even if in their mental model people don't see themselves as being subject to Andrew's authority that doesn't mean it's not true. Show me Andrew really wanting a policy change and not getting his way, and then we'll have something to talk about.

i mean at its core, what Gio posted was a callout post designed to strum up harassment to a handful of people (and it already has!). like, Gio can say "i never told anybody to go to Andrew's instagram and misgender them! how am i responsible for other people's actions!?" all he wants, but like... literally what else could he have possibly wanted from the article other than mass, widespread condemnation & an attempt to push them off the internet again? Gio literally says as much, saying that any bad press or mass vitriol Andrew and their team receives is because of their actions, not because of his hit piece, and he also says that they (and their team) literally deserve to be driven out of work -- but by saying that he's sort of also admitting to it being his intention, right? Like, why else would he write the article? It's not a vent or a diary entry, it's a callout post literally & self-admittedly intended to cancel a trans person to the degree that they can never have a public presence or contribute to a collaborative art piece ever again.

Gio can't exactly go, "Erm, how was I supposed to know that they would get a bunch of transphobic harassment because of my callout post misgendering them?" because... well, he KNOWS that's going to happen. He saw the fallout of how Kate & her team (and the Hiveswap team) were treated. He didn't have like, zero agency in what happened next, did he? I'm sorry, but he's been on the internet long enough to know exactly what pointing a massive crowd at people at one individual whilst exaggerating their sins does to a person. Like, he accused Miles of "lovebombing" for a professional, courteous comment on his work? There's plenty other examples like this of Gio misusing the language of abuse to misrepresent something innocuous -- it's the exact behaviour you always see in these types of callout posts; a pathologization of beef into "abuse" "gaslighting" "lovebombing". The article straight up reads like one of those tumblr break-up beefs that is reinvented into abuse to slap back at an ex for breaking up with them, complete with discord logs that mysteriously cut out swaths of messages that would directly disprove the lies he's peddling.

it's easy to say with hindsight that gio is a belligerent shit-stirring asshole but it was also easy at the beginning to say that and through the middle too

like, i just don’t understand why people still claim i downplay Andrew’s racism. what i said was that TME people overstate Andrew’s racism relative to other white TME creators (which they do! this is a commonly observed phenomena amongst both white and nonwhite TMA people, not just Andrew).

that doesn’t mean i don’t think Homestuck is racist. it has jim crow era racial slurs within the first dozen or so pages. it has a dragon lady stereotype who speaks in broken Japanese (“Eastern Alternian accent”). one of the main villains is pretty fucking minstrelly! and these things are core facets of homestuck like if you don’t like looking at HIC thennnnn too bad she basically never stops showing up after she’s introduced. it’s utterly dire.

like if i ever have been blasé about Andrew’s racism i legitimately am sorry but yknow this is still a smear campaign launched by somebody who pedojacketed me that yall are participating in. like ask yourself “do i wanna do the dirty work for a guy who pedojackets trans women?” and if your answer is literally anything but “no” then you might be a heartless monster.
