There's a fluffy man in my bed

Lance's nephew, Kaz, is visiting for a week or so!

I'll never get over that white streak across his nose. It's not a natural marking. It's because he got his nose stuck in the ex-pen as a puppy and had to be rescued.

Always makes me think of this dude lol

#Kaz #rough collie #also pictured #Lance's feet lol #Kaz was my favourite puppy out of all the litters I helped with #at 8 weeks old he'd follow me around the house #and any time I stopped moving #he'd immediately sit and just watch and wait #he actually stuck around for a few more weeks after the rest of the litters left #(we had two going born two weeks apart)#cause his person needed some extra time to come get him #any time this lad got bored he'd go find a toy #then bring it back to where I was #and just sit nearby and play with it on his own #I'm so used to being around service dogs #or pets owned by experienced trainers #that when I'm around a collie owned by an average pet owner #man is the difference ever noticeably!#Kaz is a great little dude #but he's also a little neurotic #new situations aren't super comfortable for him #and he'll just pace endlessly #he charges up stairs like they're trying to eat him #things that are 100% a result of his upbringing #and not his temperament #it's just fascinating to me #what a difference exposure training can make #for instance #in creating a dog that can take new situations in stride #anyway I love this fluffy little man

#spheal #i wish i could post circular images on tumblr. because this one is deserving of a fully circular PNG. i could technically just take a #regular square image and then make the edges transparent to make it *effectively* a circle‚ but like… would that appeal?#if that would appeal then i'll do it. i don't think it would be *too* prohibitively hard. i would be willing to make an addendum #with a circular transparent image of spheal staring at the screen if enough of you want it. either way #this guy rolls everywhere and i think tumblr is gonna like that. i feel like this is gonna end up being a well-liked pokémon amongst tumblr #as in. i feel like. it already is. because. of how it is. i just don't know bc spheal isn't like. one of my favorites #it's cute don't get me wrong but it's just not one i think about all the time. it's one that i'll like if prompted but not unprompted #i'm gonna stop before i dig myself into a hole. i beat totk finally. it was very good and i honestly had way way more fun with it than i did #with botw. i have my criticisms obviously. it's not perfect it's not pmd. but it was very good. and now i've moved onto the next game in my #backlog. which is very long but i'm steadily working through it. hopefully i can get it done before i graduate this december and stop having #any time for the rest of my life ever forever to play video games. dreading that day. but uh #until then i will game. and hang out with my friends. and go on tumblr. and do all these things i like to do. until i no longer can #wow this got depressing i'm gonna Stop here. enjoy spheal

musing to myself this morning about the idea of penpals in fantasy settings like XIV

I miss my penpals from college, we used to send each other tea and plant clippings and little drawings (several of which I keep hung up by my desk space yet), and it makes me wonder what that would look like in Eorzea - there IS a mail system, after all, and I wonder what people include for their friends in different places

do you think dragonets would find penpals? interacting with the wider world at large by learning to hold a pen and scribbling away in a language they don't totally understand?

I think I'd like having a little dragon penpal. I wish we got mail from the characters we've met in the past

at last....yakumo with CHIKEN

#i have finally achieved Goal. i drew yakumo with a happy chickcen #legitimately there were several moments of me redrawing yakumo's eyes and yelling #nO! THEY'RE NOT UWU ENOUGH (makes the irises bigger) WAIT . TOO UWU (makes irises more oblong)#WAIT!! NOT MONSTROUS ENOUGH (narrows the pupils) SHOULD NOT HAVE MORE EYELINER THAN FOXY GRANDPA (shrinks the lashes)#did u know that chickens like to sleep on tall things? the higher they are the safer they feel? (according to my cursory internet search)#so i imagine when yakumo finally grew taller than the chickens' roosting spots #some of them started just napping on yakumo any time he came to clean the coop #and he'd be so scared of waking them up that he'd try to do his chores in the tiniest movements ever #several hours later grandma checks in on him bc hmmm! he's taking longer than usual!#sees him covered in birds+bird poop and he's aaaallllmost done cleaning with his restrained broom sweeps #(birds don't stop pooping just cuz they're sleeping u see. how productive)#that's a cue for grandparents to move the roosts higher . bc yakumo doesn't have the heart to shoo the birds off him #he needs to get things done! becoming impromptu bird bed for 3 hours a day is not sustainable!#it's all for the good of chiken anyway. happy chicken happy life #nu carnival yakumo

to be totally serious for a moment, that one deer is so habituated that it won't clear off of the trail unless you literally wave your arms and shout while walking towards it aggressively. this is a pretty high traffic trail and I'm seriously concerned that it's going to hurt someone someday

#if it showed me any actual aggressiveness or still wouldn't move after the shouting and waving I would stop and back away #deer kill people all the time

something very horrifying about the concept of Thor but not Loki being told that Loki is Jotun when the brothers are old enough to understand the importance of the secret

#so he gets to watch Loki be unfavoured or try to do things and HE KNOWS WHY #but Thor can't SAY anything about it bc he's not supposed to #and Thor obviously has no way to reconcile that Loki is Jotun which means Jotun can't possibly be plain monsters #so Thor and Loki both keep badmouthing the frost giants #Thor gets to watch Loki hate on the frost giants while knowing Loki is one and idk something about that doesn't sit right with him #Thor basically gets to watch Loki fail at things and to Thor it's like 'oh yeah of course he's not as good or doesn't fit in'#he gets to watch and learn bad war stories and that's just how they learn about how horrible the Jotnar are #and i think occasionally Thor would stop to really process that fact #but most of the time Thor is just like. yeah that's a thing but it's not like it matters #even tho Loki being Jotun totally IS an important thing #he's just used to ignoring that it's not since he'd been told pretty far back #and it was apparently never relevant to their parents to inform Loki so *shrug*#ALSO ALSO Loki finding out so long after and being devastated and ''they told you of my parentage did they not?''#but make it Thor 1 #make it happen when Loki goes to Earth to visit Thor too hjsvfdsh #Loki: I have reason to believe I'm not related to any of you by blood.#Thor: uh well that'd be a little hard wouldn't it #Loki finds out that Thor knew he was adopted/Jotun before him too #lets get that breakdown moving along

People who complain about the encanto fandom being “dead” are annoying. Encanto isn’t a huge fandom anymore but it’s still active and by forcing the narrative of “nobody likes this movie anymore it’s forgotten” is just dead wrong. Encanto being forgotten sounds hilarious because everytime ppl mention modern disney it always pops up in conversations like ALWAYS. We need to stop thinking that just because not as many ppl are interested because it’s been 2 years now means that nobody cares. Also the people saying this primarily ignore the fanarts, hcs, fics etc! People are talking about it but you’re too busy complaining to notice it!
