(for the new folks, oc sunday is a thing where people send in their pokemon ocs and I post them because having ocs is rad and everyone has their own spin on the pokemon world/plots/stories. but I haven't done it since last july)

i have managed to actually do a hobby for the first time in months. yippee
#executive dysfunction and depression are kicking my ass#like severely. i am apathetic about everything and so so tired. things that brought me the most joy are no longer available to me#like. i love you so much you are so important to me but i no longer have the ability to care or do anything about it#things i love the most are behind a glass door that i can't unlock. or break.#sewing and embroidery especially are like. things i very much love and aspire to do but they are SO time and energy consuming#i don't have the patience#i stayed up till 4 am listening to lenka králová's interviews with trans people and it made me a little hopeful#currently transition doesn't really feel possible and i kind of just want to die so. hearing from others who made it was important#i also appreciated the comments#because a lot of them are from cis people. who didn't really know things about trans people but are learning thanks to lenkas channel#and after hearing a bit about our lifes their reaction is usually to applaud the strength we have. to be ourselves#and it's heartwarming to read. that there are people who learn. and can empathise in some way. that not everyone hates us#'you only have one life and no one else is going to live it for you. so you better be yourself' or something along that was in one of them#most of the comments under every video are just people saying how beautiful Lenka looks and yeah. true#i love her

Going through it as per usual
#nothing in particular is happening my mental state has just been particularly dogshit lately#this is at least partially my own fault bc there r things I could do about it but. I keep forgetting mostly#boredom + bad brain space does NOT go well for me I swear#and I’m just like. as pervasively lonely as usual bc I’ve been too anxious to take any initiative in like. hanging out or talking to people#I at least have a new interest which helps a bit. but also lifesteal/unstable universe r kinda heavy/intense at times (and uu is also long)#so I can’t just. consume content when I don’t have the energy to do other stuff#I’m just. screams into my pillow for 24 hrs straight#genuinely sometimes it feels like I’m holding onto my sanity by my fingertips and the only reason I haven’t had a massive meltdown#is bc I just. don’t want to deal w the emotions so I keep putting it off or spinning it into something more lighthearted#I guess the biggest positive is that I’ve been able to not get TOO self destructive even if the urges are very much there

often i wish i could go to the hyperfixation store and pick out a new one that fits my interests and have them install the update in my brain so that i can escape to a fun lil world where i'm excited and engaged over something again instead of just doing the same things over and over trying to squeeze out the last possible drops of serotonin. like don't get me wrong i love rewatching/rereading my comfort media but sometimes i just want a New Fun Thing to be obsessed with and spend all my free time making posts and content about and i want to bother all my friends until they get into the new fun thing with me. but alas,

I know Quackity said "Don't stress if you can't watch every single POV and if you don't know all the lore" and all that, but it genuinely frustrates me so much that I cannot, realistically, know every single detail of the QSMP storyline. Even trying to just focus on the "main" story isn't possible since so many people are doing things tied to it, and so many unexpected things happen.
I don't really have a point to make with this post, I'm just venting my frustrations. I like knowing complete stories and knowing I can't do that with QSMP frustrates me so much.
#i talk#qsmp talk#I also dont like that it takes 4+ hours to get 30m worth of the story#I'm realizing more and more that I'm just not cut out for long-form SMP storytelling through streaming#I've been under a lot of stress lately and I was watching stream to kinda take my mind off things#and realizing I've missed so much just kinda pushed that frustration over the edge a bit#I'm not actually a huge fan of the twitter updates and the ''summary of today'' thing the update accounts do#it's not that it's not helpful— it just doesnt mesh with my ability to absorb info#by which I mean reading twitter threads to catch up on lore makes me feel like I'm dying#I like the lore recap video they posted recently and I'd love to see more of that#especially since it's short and easy to digest#but it still leaves a lot out#idk like I said there's no real point to this post I'm just very frustrated#both in general and in terms of story consumption#(for the record: this is just a me problem and I'm not about to start demanding the server change or anything)#I just need to start consuming more short contained stories I think#just a bit stuck on QSMP because the dtory is really interesting to me#I also think I need to drop the archive it eats up too much time and energy#as helpful as it is for my own records and others' its just not realistic#especially with all the new people who are being added#a few of whom I just straight up dont plan on watching
