i was on youtube checking my notifications and i saw on my subscriptions feed that mumbo had the little red dot so i gasped very loudly and very excited, because that meant mumbo posted and i just hadn’t noticed, since i always find out mumbo posted by my subscriptions feed

last video i found out via notification.

the subscriptions feed only updates when you look at it, not when you have looked at the video in question.

the disappointment was immense.

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

let's be honest, for very ironic reasons, official writers were not really responsible for timebomb being so good, fortiche carried most of the timebomb writing

yes, even in s1 since this is really where writers (*VERY LOUD COUGH* amanda) picked up on very delicate and deliberate details that fortiche put in s1e7, details which could be potentially explored later (as a side plot, of course *sarcasm*, we don't want to overshadow other dynamics of the show, do we?)

but especially in s2 since it's basically confirmed by pascal charrue, fortiche's co-founder, that the episode fortiche studio were most emotionally and creatively involved with in matters of writing is episode 7

which is even further confirmed by linke in the artbook where he states that episode 7 is basically a literal love letter to french culture and that he hopes fortiche is really proud of it

like... wow, the "nobody loves timebomb more than french people do" joke is actually not a joke at all

so iiii finished lost light and mtmte.. and I really wanted to do this treasure some justice in my own, if crude, way. Simply saying "yeah I read it it was cool" doesn't suffice neither does it do the story and its characters the justice they deserve. So... I made something to constantly give myself the reminder that THIS exists. The story, even when it's been concluded for over 6 years still, I feel, hits all the bars and feels it did when people read it as it was published.. as I said in an earlier post, I regret not finding the wonders of James Roberts' world sooner, but I don't under no circumstances regret reading it when I did.

I'm getting too sappy here haha. This comic has made me shed a tear, full on cry, need to take a minute to walk around and process properly what I have just witnessed ONE TOO MANY TIMES in the best way possible.

The crew of the Lost Light have become so dear to me it's not even funny at this point jkgkjer
